4* Free Week 5 NFL Betting Prediction: Minnesota +5.5
Despite being 5.5-point underdogs at home, I like the Vikings to cover against Kansas City. But I’m betting this lightly. Minnesota are 4-2 SU in their last 6 games when playing at home against Kansas City.
The play I love though, is the OVER.
Despite Cousins recording his season-low output on Sunday, totaling less than 340 yards for the first time in three weeks, Minnesota still managed to secure their first victory of the season. This week we’re expecting a shootout. He’s just below the 6000 yards on the season pace.
It’s the Vikings vs. the Chiefs of course, I don’t expect anything less than a ton of points. This game is the highest total on the slate.
After a strong performance against Carolina’s passing game, Minnesota’s pass defense will be needed to play well once again, but how well can they play against the two-time-MVP?
With the over/under line sitting at 52, my pick is to take the OVER.
My model points to this one going between 55-58. The total has gone OVER in 8 of Minnesota’s last 12 games.
