The Kansas City Chiefs come into the 2018 season, with a ton of expectations. The Chiefs parted ways with quarterback Alex Smith, and are now giving the reigns to second year man Patrick Mahomes. With the weapons surrounding him, look for a big season from the offense.

The Los Angeles Chargers are also a team with high expectations. It will be hard to tell if the Chargers will improve on last years record. The team just missed the playoffs by one game. Look for the Chargers to be surprisingly good this year.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the most dynamic teams in the NFL. As always, Andy Reid will big a dynamic offense to the table, in search of a super bowl title. Patrick Mahomes will lead the offensive attack for the Chiefs. He has not seen much action, but should be as good as advertised.

Aside from Mahomes, the Chiefs offense will feature a ton of talent. Tyreek Hill is back as one of the teams best offensive weapons, and will also be along side new edition, Sammy Watkins. Travis Kelce will also be back as a top three tight end at his position.

With Mahomes at quarterback, and all the offensive options the Chiefs have this year, Kareem Hunt could be the teams most talented player. His ability to run and catch the ball out of the backfield, could bring some MVP votes this season.

The Kansas City defense remains in question. If the team is unable to get a consistent performance from the secondary, the Chiefs could be in trouble in week one.

Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers are one of the one underrated teams coming into the 2018 season. Los Angeles is returning with a familiar face at the helm in Philip Rivers. Rivers is one of the most respected players in the game, but has yet to make any noise in the playoffs.

Rivers could change that this season. He is going to have an offense that is loaded with talent. Running back Melvin Gordon has improved every season since his rookie year. Look for Gordon to have a bit time season this year.

The Chargers defense is loaded. The secondary is arguably the best going into the start of the season. Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram will be the top pass rushers for the Chargers again this season. Look for the defense to give the rookie fits in Los Angeles.

If the Chargers defense can rattle Mahomes in his first career start, look for the Chargers to have a big night in week one. The Chargers secondary could force two interceptions or more in this matchup.
