This week nine matchup will see the Green Bay Packers travel out West to take on the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Packers are looking like a dominant force in the NFC, while the Chargers season is starting to crumble.
Green Bay Packers
The Packers went on the road to Kansas City this past Sunday and beat the Chiefs 31-24. This game was a little close for comfort considering the Chiefs were missing their star quarterback.
The Packers offense was solid in this game, posting 374 yards of total offense. Aaron Rodgers was as good as he usually is, throwing for 305 yards on 23 of 33. He also threw three touchdowns and did not turn the ball over once.

Aaron Jones stole the show however, catching 7 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns. He also led the ground attack with 67 yards.
The Packers now have the 8th best passing attack in the NFL and the 7th best scoring offense. In three of the last four games, the Packers have scored 30 or more points so they are proving to be a legitimate threat to win the NFC
The Packers defense has also taken a step forward compared to last year, ranking 11th in the NFL in the points allowed department. They are just average against both the pass and run, but have done a good job to keep teams out of the end zone for the most part.
They did have some trouble slowing down the Chiefs, even with Mahomes on the sideline. They allowed a total of 337 yards, but just 88 yards on the ground. The fumble they forced also was a big play that set up their offense to take control of the game.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers are coming off a 17-16 win over Chicago but in reality, they were lucky to win this game. A missed field goal by the Bears as time expired was the reason why the Chargers came out of Chicago with a victory.
Starting with the offense, Los Angeles had a total of 231 yards. Their run game looked atrocious, gaining just 36 rushing yards in the game. Granted they did play a good Bears defense, but still to have that few yards on the ground is not a recipe for success.
To go along with a poor rushing performance, Phillip Rivers also struggled to get things rolling. He had just 201 yards passing, one touchdown, an one interception. They still manage to have the 6th best passing attack in the NFL, averaging 281.1 yards per game.

One of the bigger issues with this Chargers team is they are not scoring points in bunches. They have scored 30 points in just two of their seven games this year, which is why they only average 19.6 points per game. This is a glaring issue because the Green Bay offense is extremely potent, which means the Chargers may have to score 30+ to have a chance to win this game.
The defense is currently ranked 10th in the NFL, allowing 19.6 points per game. They just allowed 388 yards to the anemic Bears offense and were more or less torched on the ground. Their run defense has overall been poor this season, which leads me to believe that the Packers are going to game plan around this and take advantage.
NFL Betting Trends:

- GB are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Green Bay Packers -3.5
Where the Chargers play gives them no home field advantage whatsoever and I think Green Bay is going to have a field day. I will lay the points with the Packers an expect them to win this game by at least a touchdown.
