4* Free Week 4 NFL Betting Prediction: Detroit -1.5
This week’s game features Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers, who staged an incredible comeback from a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter during Week 3, a historic feat not seen in the organization for over a century.
However, if you closely observed the game as I did, it’s evident that the Packers were not truly competitive until the final quarter. This season, I have faith in the Lions. Their Run-D stands above average, and their Pass D is serviceable.
Combine this with Love’s struggles in passing, and it sets the stage for a potential Lions’ success. Expect the Lions’ defense to stifle the Packers’ offense throughout the game.
The Lions’ offense has shown ability to move the ball effectively, exemplified by their impressive 358-yard performance against Atlanta in Week 3.
My confidence in the Lions’ style of play will only grow if the Lions’ offensive linemen can return to full health in time for game day.
In this matchup, I like see the Lions’ defense doing a good job slowing down the Packers’ offense. In their most recent game, they gave up just 183 and should build on that performance.
I suggest locking in the Lions at -1.5.
In all of Green Bay’s previous games this season, the over/under lines have been set lower than this week’s line of 45. I’m leaning towards the under, as we believe this line is too high for these teams.
