Denver is done for the season. The rest of the year is just about seeing how some of the pieces fit for next year and beyond. Sorry proud Broncos fans but it is true.
Minnesota is looking like a lock to make the playoffs but they are still a game behind Green Bay. They can’t afford a slip in a competitive NFC.
If Denver could find some offense maybe this season would have gone differently. They are 28th in the NFL scoring just 16ppg. Joe Flacco is hurt and in the last game before the bye they gave Brandon Allen his first taste of NFL action.
Allen is not really supposed to be the man though that was supposed to be Drew Lock, their top pick this past draft. He has been hurt though so they are not able to really used this season for assessment, other than the obvious and they need more offense.
RB Philip Lindsay showed last year that he has enough compete to be an NFL starter. They have just been behind so much that it has been hard to use him the way they want to.
The defense continues to be more than good enough for the team to win games. They are giving up just 19ppg. They are stingy on yards too, 4th, but not getting the kinds of explosive plays (sacks and interceptions) the way they used to.
The Broncos are off a bye so whatever it is they have should be all on display in this one.
Minnesota got a really nice road win last week at Dallas. It was especially satisfying as they kind of choked away an opportunity against KC the week before. They have won four of five.
Kirk Cousins is notorious for not performing well against good teams but that was not the case Sunday night. Love him or hate him he is having his best season.
The same goes for RB Dalvin Cook, though that looks like a healthy thing as much as anything else. Cook rushed for 97 yards against Dallas and is also enjoying his best season. His presence gives them both a steady and explosive ground game.
The Minnesota defense is on par with Denver in terms of points allowed, just 18ppg. Danielle Hunter and Everson Griffen provide good pressure that sets their defense.
They are coming off a tough win against a well rested team. I am not sure the Broncos coach offers much in the way of an advantage though. Mike Zimmer is really good.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Vikings -9.5
The Vikings should be in control of the game. Look for the offense to have to work but their own defense will keep the pressure off that group.
NFL Free Week 11 Score Prediction: Minnesota 27 – Denver 14
Backdoors are always worrisome when the spread is around double digits but the way the Vikings can run the ball makes that less worrisome.
