The Broncos and Colts both matched up with division rivals in Week 7. Indianapolis made a statement against Houston, while the Broncos fell to 2–5 in an embarrassing home loss against Kansas City.
Denver Broncos
Denver took its opening possession 75 yards down the field for a touchdown, missed the two-point conversion, and then got outscored the rest of the way, 30–0.

Joe Flacco was a statue in the pocket and was sacked eight times. He finished 21/34 for 219 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions. Colby Wadman came in at the end of the bloody defeat and took a sack of his own for good measure.
Royce Freeman ran ten times for 35 yards and Phillip Lindsay ran one more time for one more yard. Courtland Sutton caught six balls for 87 yards, about half of which came on a single long ball from Flacco.
That’s about the only time that the Broncos’ offense is dangerous: when Flacco gets tons of time and he can let one loose to Sutton downfield. There just isn’t anything else to get excited about. In Indianapolis, it will be another long day for this offense.
The only way Denver stays competitive is if the defense decides it’s going to try and win a game by itself. It has strung together two great games in a row before Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill tore it down on Thursday. Even after Mahomes left with a knee injury in the second quarter, the Broncos were outscored by double-digits.
Indianapolis Colts
Indianapolis had a seven-point lead in the final minute with Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans driving. That’s when Darius Leonard picked off a pass bobbled by the Texans’ receiver to clinch the 30–23 victory.

Jacoby Brissett was just fantastic for Indianapolis, completing 26/39 for 326 yards and four touchdown passes. He didn’t throw an interception and took just one sack all game, though it did result in a lost fumble.
Zach Pascal led the Colts with six catches for 106 yards and two touchdowns. It was the Old Dominion product’s first career 100-yard game.
As usual, the Colts dominated up front with an offensive line that protected Brissett masterfully all afternoon and a defensive line that sacked Watson three times and pressured him into two more interceptions.
At 4–2 and atop the division, the Colts are feeling good and looking forward to playing three out of their next four at home.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: under holds.
Denver’s defense is starting to feel the pressure of what it takes to win with Flacco under center. I just can’t even see the Broncos breaking 20 in a game the Colts should cover.
