The Denver Broncos are riding high after erasing a 21-point deficit last Sunday in a 31-30 win over the Chargers. Atlanta has momentum too though with wins in two of the last three games.
This game seems like it could go either way between 3-4 Denver and 2-6 Atlanta. The Falcons do get an edge for being at home, but the team is also 0-4 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium this season. The Broncos are 2-1 on the road.
Denver Broncos
Denver showed resiliency last week, facing a 24-3 deficit in the 3rd quarter before outscoring Atlanta 28-6 to finish out the game. Drew Lock powered the Broncos with 3 TD passes in the 4th quarter to complete the comeback.
The Broncos are quietly on a nice stretch, even if the quality of their competition recently is questionable. Denver has posted a 37-28 win over the Jets, 18-12 over New England, and the win over 2-5 Chargers over their last four games.

The Broncos showed nice balance on offense last Sunday, getting 248 yards and 3 TD from Lock as well as 108 yards on the ground. It was a solid bounce back after the Broncos fell 43-16 at home to the Chiefs the week prior.
Denver still managed 177 yards rushing in the loss to the Chiefs, and Lock threw for 254 yards but with 2 INT. The Falcons are vulnerable through the air with the league’s 2nd worst pass defense, but Atlanta is also 6th vs. the rush.
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons could be the best 2-6 team in NFL history considering three of their losses came via blown 4th quarter leads. Atlanta was finally able to hold on to a late lead last week though, winning 25-17 in Carolina.
One of the biggest reasons Atlanta was able to secure their 2nd win of the season last week was the appearance of a running game. Brian Hill and Toddy Gurley combined for 101 yards last week to at least ease some pressure from Matt Ryan.
Oddsmakers are expecting some points in this matchup with a betting total of 50. Ryan will obviously be a big part of that for Atlanta, and he had 5 TD / 0 INT two games prior to last week but had 0 TD and 1 INT vs. the Panthers.
One thing the win over Carolina did was show that Atlanta didn’t need a huge game from Ryan to get the win. The Falcons defense was also great, holding the Panthers to 157 yards passing.
