Week two of the NFL kicks off with a classic NFC East rivalry between the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins. This will be the second divisional game for both teams and the Cowboys could set the tone quick if they manage to win.
Last season the Cowboys and Redskins split the season series, each winning on their home turf.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys crushed the Giants in week one by a score of 35-17. They now are 1-0 in the NFC East, which is a good sign, even this early in the season.
The offense looked especially good in this first game and had a ton of guys make huge plays.

Starting with Dak Prescott, he actually looked like an elite QB when passing the ball. Granted he played a soft defense, but he managed to throw for 405 yards, 4 touchdowns and no interceptions. He also completed 78.1% of his passes, which is another great sign.
However, the rushing game for Dallas was pitiful. Ezekiel Elliot was able to play after recently signing a contract, but he did not look good in this game. He had a total of 53 rushing yards on 13 carries and just 1 touchdown. I expect him to rebound from a poor showing and prove he deserves the money that was recently given to him.
The receiving core for Dallas was much better than expected and they proved on Sunday that they have guys who can contribute other than just Amari Cooper. Michael Gallup led the way with 158 receiving yards. Dak also threw his 4 touchdowns to 4 different receivers, so a nice balance was found.
If Dak can play like he did against the Giants on a consistent basis, then the Cowboys will be a very tough team to beat this season.

Defensively, the Cowboys also had a very solid game against the Giants. They did allow 470 yards, but held the Giants to just 17 points. 7 of these points came in the first drive of the game, so for the majority of the game, the Giants were held out of the end zone.
The defense also forced 3 fumbles, recovering 2 of them, so another great sign of what could happen this year.
Washington Redskins
The Redskins surprised everyone by rocketing out to a 17-0 lead against the Philadelphia Eagles. After that, things all started to fall apart apart just like we expected from the Redskins.
They went from being up 20-7 at halftime to losing 32-20 with about 3 minutes to play.
For about a half, the Redskins were putting up some great offensive numbers. Case Keenum ended the game 30 for 44 with 380 yards passing and 3 touchdowns.
At the very least, this is a good sign because there were many question mark regarding how Keenum would perform.
The run game for Washington was absolutely terrible however, which basically took away any chance for them to win. They had a total of 28 rushing yards on 13 carries.
The longest rush in the game for Washington was 7 yards. If they do not fix this, they may as well sign up for a top 5 pick in the draft because they will not win with a disastrous running game.
The defense was not exactly great either as they allowed a total of 436 yards. 313 of these yards were through the air and they allowed Carson Wentz to throw 4 touchdown passes.
Now having to face Dak and the Cowboys will test them even more as they cannot afford to go 0-2 in the division.
NFL Betting Trends:
- Road team is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 meetings.
- WAS are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games in Week 2.
- DAL are 20-8-1 ATS in their last 29 games on grass.
4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Dallas Cowboys -4.5
The Cowboys are already looking improved and I think they win this game on the road. Elliot will likely have a bounce back game and I like them to cover the spread at -4.5.
Sunday Week 2 #NFL betting action we get the Dallas #Cowboys vs. Washington #Redskins. Line opened with the Cowboys a -3.5 favorite and the O/U at 44. Most books have it at Cowboys -5 now, and O/U at 46.5. What say you NFL Bettors?

NFL Free Week 2 Score Prediction: Cowboys 31 – Redskins 20
The secondary for Washington looked weak and I believe Dak will have another huge game throwing the ball which will led the Cowboys to another win.
