This week nine matchup will see the Dallas Cowboys take on their NFC East rivals, the New York Giants.
Dallas beat the Giants in week one 35-17. This game should be slightly different because it will be the first time the Cowboys will see Daniel Jones in a game.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys are coming off their bye week after crushing Philadelphia in their previous game. They are currently leading the NFC East, but only by half a game over the Eagles. They do hold the tie-breaker over the Eagles at the moment, but a win could help separate them in the division for the time being.

As it stands right now, the Cowboys have a top offense. They are 1st in NFL in total yards per game, averaging 437.9 yards. They average 291.9 passing yards per game, 3rd in the league. They also are averaging 146 yards per game on the ground, 4th in the NFL.
Then there is the fact that they score an average of 27.1 points per game. This is 6th best in the NFL.
The defense for the Cowboys look much improved in their last game against the Eagles. They allowed just 10 points in this game, their second best performance of the season since allowing 6 points to Miami earlier this year.
Dallas is now allowing just 17.7 points per game this season. This is ranked 7th in the league. They are 13th against the run, allowing 96.9 rushing yards per game. This is huge because the Giants have one of the best running backs in the league.
If the Cowboys can force Daniel Jones to beat them, they will have some success. Jones has shown he will make mistakes, so getting pressure on him could be the difference in a Cowboys win.
New York Giants
The Giants have now lost four-games in a row. They just lost to Detroit 31-26. New York did keep this game close, putting up 370 total yards of offense.
Daniel Jones had a great performance, but still had trouble taking care of the ball. He fumbled which immediately led to a Lions touchdown. Besides that fumble, Jones threw for 322 yards and four touchdowns.
The Giants have still struggled to score, averaging 19.8 points per game. Neither their rush or passing offense has been amazing this season. They rank 17th in the league in both categories.
Getting Saquon Barkley going in this game is a must. Barkley had 120 rushing yards in the first meeting with the Cowboys, so he should be able to have a good performance here as well.

The defense for the Giants has been torched week in and week out. They just allowed 375 yards to Detroit.
The rushing defense for the Giants was very solid against the Lions, allowing just 59 yards on the ground. Overall on the season however, they are allowing an average of 122,4 yards on the ground, so this is worrying because the Cowboys actually have a good running back.
Their pass defense is equally as bad, allowing 264.4 yards per game through the air. Given that Dak is coming off a game where he torched the Eagles, the Giants secondary is going to have to play their best football.
