4* Free Week 8 NFL Betting Prediction: Cleveland +3
First things first. The Seahawks are winning this game straight up. The score will be close this weekend, make no doubt about it, but the Hawks defense playing in front of a fired up Lumen Field crowd will be the difference maker this Sunday.
The Browns aren’t at home in this one, the Seahawks will have the energy edge.
They’re 6th in rush. yards allowed (87YPG), and the defense has been enjoying a strong turnaround, the run D is settled with Wagner in the middle, and the pass rush is on its way to returning to elite levels. (23 Sacks / 5th most in NFL)
Note: Nwosu is out for a while (maybe the season) for the Hawks so they’re losing a big part of their pass rush, and I wonder if they trade for the Panthers Brian Burns before Sunday? (There’s lots of rumors flying around)
Needless to say, Watson is going to have his hands full in this one.
Having said all of the above, I’m still liking the Browns as road underdogs, I like the value of taking the Browns. Right now, they are at +3, and I’ll be locking them in at this number while I can.
This is a team that comes to play every week, and I think this week we’ll see a black and blue AFC North type of game! It’s going to be great!
After crunching the numbers, our model is pointing to this game finishing with a combined 33 points. This projection has me feeling good about taking the UNDER 40.
The total has gone UNDER in 9 of Cleveland’s last 13, and the total has gone UNDER in 8 of Seattle’s last 11.
