Get ready for an absolute showdown in Week 4 as the Cleveland Browns take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Sin City! As a seasoned NFL handicapper, I’m fired up about this matchup, and here’s why: Cleveland is just 3-6-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last 10 road games, and history is on Vegas’ side with a 15-10 all-time record against the Browns. Cleveland’s struggles in Las Vegas are real, holding a 7-8 road record in their past matchups.
The last time these two clashed, back in December 2021, the Raiders squeaked out a 16-14 victory, and I’m expecting another nail-biter this Sunday.
Last season, the Browns and Raiders did not face off head-to-head. When looking back over the last three times these two teams have played, the Raiders have the leg up at 3-0.
The Raiders also had the edge vs. the spread in these games, at 2-1. These games averaged a combined total of 45 points per game leading to an over/under record of 1-2.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns are now 1-2 after losing to the Giants 21-15 in their most recent game. Cleveland was favored by -6.5 at home but lost straight-up and against the spread. The Giants led 21-7 at halftime, and although the Browns made a late push in the 4th quarter, they couldn’t complete the comeback.
Devin Singletary’s 43-yard touchdown run for the Giants with just 2:23 remaining in the 4th put them back on top for good. The over/under line for the game was 38 points, and the teams combined for 36 points.
Cleveland Browns Stats
The Browns’ offense struggled to establish a running game in their 21-15 loss to the Giants, finishing with just 69 yards on 18 attempts. Quarterback Deshaun Watson was under pressure throughout the game, being sacked eight times, and still managed to throw for 196 yards and two touchdowns. Watson completed 56% of his passes and finished with a passer rating of 89.
Amari Cooper led the team with 86 yards receiving and two touchdown catches. Cleveland managed only 16 first downs and went 2-of-7 on fourth down conversion attempts. Jerome Ford was the leading rusher with 37 yards on 10 attempts.

The Browns’ defense gave up 228 yards through the air in their 21-15 loss to the Giants, including two passing touchdowns. Despite this, the Browns’ defense did not allow a single completion in the game. New York finished with 340 total yards, and Cleveland’s run defense held up, allowing just 112 yards on 32 attempts (3.5 yards per attempt).
Cleveland’s defense also held the Giants to a 28.6% conversion rate on third down and managed two sacks in the game. However, the Browns did give up 228 yards in the passing game and two passing touchdowns.
Las Vegas Raiders
Las Vegas is now 1-2 after a 36-22 loss to the Panthers. The Raiders were favored by -5.5, and the 14-point defeat was well below the 14-point spread. The game went over the 40-point line, with the Panthers and Raiders combining for 58 points.
Las Vegas fell behind early, as the Panthers led 14-7 after the 1st quarter and added two more touchdowns in the 2nd quarter to lead 21-7 at halftime. The Raiders didn’t score again until the 4th quarter when they put up 15 points, but by then, the Panthers had a commanding 33-7 lead.
Las Vegas Raiders Stats
In their 36-22 loss to the Panthers, the Raiders’ running game was limited to just 55 yards on 16 attempts. They finished with 20 first downs and 276 yards passing. Gardner Minshew II led the passing attack, going 18/28 for 214 yards, with one touchdown and one interception.
Tre Tucker was the leading receiver, with 96 yards and a touchdown, including a 54-yard reception. Zamir White was the top rusher with 34 yards. The Raiders struggled on third down, converting only 27.3% of their chances, and Minshew II was sacked three times.
In their 36-22 loss to the Panthers, the Raiders’ defense allowed 306 passing yards and three touchdowns through the air. The Raiders gave up 437 total yards and struggled to defend the pass, as the Panthers completed big plays downfield. Despite allowing 131 rushing yards on 31 attempts, Las Vegas kept the Panthers to 4.2 yards per attempt on the ground.
The Raiders’ defense managed two sacks and held Carolina to a 41.7% third-down conversion rate.

4* Free Week 4 NFL Betting Prediction: Las Vegas -1
With Vegas favored by a razor-thin -1, this game is as tight as it gets.
Both teams sit at 1-2, and this game feels like a must-win to keep their seasons alive. Minshew has been accurate and efficient, completing 73.7% of his passes, and I’m confident he’ll manage to guide the Raiders to a gritty win. Bet the Raiders in a close one, and ride the under for what’s shaping up to be a low-scoring, high-stakes battle!
For this week four matchup between the Browns and Raiders, we are going with the Raiders to win by a score of 17-13. This would also have them covering the spread, as they are currently sitting at -1 point at home.
The total is set at a low 37, and while some may be tempted to bet the over, I’m eyeing the under here with a projected score hovering around 30 points.
