The Browns were definitely humbled on Sunday. Pittsburgh showed them that despite their close records there is a gap between these two teams.
Cincinnati is off a loss where they had a big lead. Seems like a typical young team that is trying to learn how to win.
When these two met on an early Thursday night we got a pretty good show so let’s hope for that again.
Cleveland Browns
Cleveland was +3 at Pittsburgh on Sunday. They lost 38-7 and for a lot of that game it felt like the Browns were losing by a lot more. Per the intro they have a lot of development to get where Pittsburgh is.
I don’t know if it was the injured ribs or not but Baker Mayfield did not play a good game. Eventually Case Keenum came into the game and you need to know which QB you are getting before you make any bets.
Mayfield couldn’t get the ball to the playmakers on this team and against a top defense like Pittsburgh’s they had trouble moving the ball on the ground.
I know they beat Cincinnati a few weeks ago but they did so at full strength. That was with a healthy Mayfield, a heathy Nick Chubb and a chip on their shoulder after a bad opening week loss, and they were at home.
Other than the loss they have none of those things going for them in this one.
Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals have only one win on the season so to be up 21-0 against Indianapolis and lose the game has to linger with you a little bit.
Cincinnati has been competitive this season. Joe Burrow might not be lighting the league on fire but it looks like he belongs.
Both the offense and defense are 25th in yards so there should not be finger-pointing on this team right now. If there is, it is likely pointing at the defense, which just doesn’t have the same star power.
The Bengals do seem somewhat improved but until they start getting some wins that is going to be tough to measure. They are 4-2 ATS on the season.
I would like them better off a win but off a loss there may be more value on the home team in this one given how closely these teams played in week two.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Bengals +3.5
You might want to bet this one now. I think there is a real chance Mayfield sits and if that gets announced this one will move. That and the longer you wait the more people will review that previous game and see how the Bengals moved the ball with ease. I can see this one losing the hook before too long.
