Baltimore was friendly to backers, especially at the start, when it covered nine of its first ten games.
Cleveland was not. The Browns disappointed by most measures in 2019 but it will run back largely the same talented roster but with a new head coach.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns defeated the Ravens in Baltimore last season and lost at the Dawg Pound.
The road victory came early on in Week 4. Cleveland ran for 193 yards and put up 40 points. In the Week 16 rematch, Baltimore ran for 243 in a two-touchdown trouncing.
But that was all last season. This season, Cleveland is under new Head Coach Kevin Stefanski with the same talent that had many excited about its prospects last season.
A strong offensive line and two stud running backs, Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, will make Cleveland a force on the ground.
Baker Mayfield slumped as a sophomore but he retained the confidence of all those around the team to go into this season as the unquestioned starter. He will also benefit from the Browns’ fearsome ground game in play-action.
Baltimore Ravens
Of course, Baltimore has the reigning MVP in Lamar Jackson and did cruise to a 14–2 record in 2019 before fizzling out at the end.
After covering nine of their first ten, the Ravens went just 1–6 against the spread, including their disappointing 28–12 loss in the divisional round of the AFC playoffs to Tennessee.
Not only did the Ravens have a pair of 1000-yard rushers in Jackson (1206) and Mark Ingram (1018), they had another 700-yard back in Gus Edwards.
Then they went on and spent a second round draft pick on running back JK Dobbins from Ohio State. At 5’9″ and 205, Dobbins will be a change-of-pace back that will add yet another dimension to the Ravens’ backfield.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Cleveland +8
I happen to believe Cleveland is a real contender in the AFC this season with a power running game, a deep receiving corps and a defense with a relatively high ceiling.
No fans takes away most of the home field advantage. This game is much closer to a pick than the number suggests.
