Someone is going to get its first win in the final game of Week 4. Both the Bengals and Steelers enter their Monday Night Football showdown winless at the quarter point of the NFL’s regular season.
Cincinnati Bengals
Zach Taylor, in particular, is still seeking his first win as an NFL Head Coach. A Monday Night Football spot in Pittsburgh would be a great place to start.
Cincinnati looked pretty good in its first loss of the season in Seattle. The Bengals nearly pulled it out and Andy Dalton threw for a career-high in Taylor’s debut as the man in charge of the sideline.
Week 2 didn’t go as well, though the result was the same. The San Francisco 49ers came into the Bengals’ place and dropped a forty-burger on them, winning by 24 points.

The Bengals trailed 14–0 at halftime and went into the fourth quarter in Buffalo down 14–7 before scoring the first ten points in the quarter to take a three-point lead.
Then Josh Allen orchestrated the game-winning drive that finished in a touchdown that gave Buffalo its 21–17 win. The Bills are 3–0.
The Bengals killed themselves in the first half. The offense started sluggishly and Dalton didn’t complete his first pass until the second quarter. That reception by John Ross immediately turned into a lost fumble. Cincinnati returned a kick-off for a touchdown that was promptly called back for a holding penalty.
It’s a flawed football team. Granted, it’s one that does some things well. Joe Mixon had 95 yards in his best game of the young season and Tyler Boyd caught another six balls.

AJ Green will remain out for this game and into October but it shouldn’t be much longer until Cincinnati’s best outside playmaker returns. Until then, the Bengals are going to need some help to get that first win.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers have been keen to offer help to the opponent through three weeks of the regular season. And at 0–3 and without Ben Roethlisberger, the season looks lost already.
Jimmy Garoppolo went 23-for-32 and racked up 277 yards through the air, including a touchdown toss to Dante Pettis in San Francisco’s 24–20 victory in Week 3.
Juju Smith-Schuster caught a long one for a touchdown but Mason Rudolph looked like a young, inexperienced, and inadequate quarterback to be leading a Pittsburgh Steeler offense.
James Conner’s four receptions led the team and Rudolph completed just 14 of his 27 pass attempts for 174 yards, two touchdowns, and a pick. He also lost his tight end Vance MacDonald, who left the game with a shoulder injury.

At least two of Pittsburgh’s first three losses have come on the road and all three have been against quality opponents. A loss in this one would represent a complete and utter failure of a season with 75 percent of it left to play.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Cincinnati +4.5
I’m taking the shock result. The Bengals have some balance and neither offense nor defense is going to totally overwhelm the opposing unit. The longer this one stays close, the bigger advantage Cincinnati has on the road, where it can play loose. The 4.5 points help too.
