There are a few games this weekend that have no impact on the playoffs and that is the case in this game. The Carolina Panthers make the trip to Lucas Oil Stadium to take on the Indianapolis Colts.

The Panthers have won the last three games played between the two teams.

The Carolina Panthers have dealt with many different injuries this season and now they are on their third quarterback of the season.

The Panthers started with the season with Cam Newton as quarterback and once he went down with an injury, the team turned to Kyle Allen.

Allen has struggled with interceptions and fumbles all season so the team has turned the keys over to Will Grier. Who knows how much success Grier can have but this is an important evaluation period to see if he could be the future of this team.

On the defensive side of the ball the Panthers haven’t been great giving up 27.9 points per game. They are facing an offense that has also struggled, so it’s going to be important, that the defense plays better.

With a young quarterback, it’s going to be hard for the team to win a shootout.

Indianapolis Colts

On the other side of this matchup is the Indianapolis Colts who played well to start the season, but they have fallen apart as of late.

Coming into this game they have lost four games in a row and the offense has been a big issue. In three of the last four games they have scored 17 points or less.

One of the big issues as of late has been the play of Jacoby Brissett who hasn’t been all that dynamic. Over his last three games he has only scored three touchdowns total.

These last couple of games are important for him as the Colts try to figure out what they want to do at quarterback going forward.

On the defensive side of the ball the Colts have been pretty average giving up 23.5 points per game. If the defense can create a couple of turnovers that would be a big help.
