The Patriots season is quickly slipping away as they continue to look terrible every week. Perhaps Cam Newton is not the answer at quarterback and they need to eventually look elsewhere.
A win over the Colts this past week keeps the Ravens in the race for the AFC North. Still trailing the Steelers by two games, they cannot afford to lose many more games.
The Ravens won that game against the Colts 24-10. By no means did they play a great game offensively an actually I would say that they looked rather poor. Lamar Jackson is clearly having some struggles, throwing for just 170 yards with no touchdowns. He was extremely accurate, but that only goes so far when you are not throwing touchdowns. Even the Baltimore rushing attack had just 110 yards, which is well below their average. The Ravens rank first in rushing offense, averaging 170.1 yards per game to give you a number to base their performance off of.
On the flip side, the Ravens rank 31st in passing offense, averaging 176.9 yards per game. Overall, they are the 23rd best offense in the NFL and also are scoring 28.4 points per game.
Defensively, the Ravens allowed 339 yards. Although a defensive touchdown looked to have change the game when the Colts were driving. They also got a bit fortunate with an interception that honestly did not look like one. That allowed the Ravens to grab momentum and run away with this game.
They now rank as the 8th best defense in the league. They are allowing 324.9 yards per game, 223.1 passing yards per game and 101.8 rushing yards per game. More impressively, they allow just 17.8 points per game.
New England Patriots
The Patriots finally put together a decent performance on Monday Night Football and came away with a win. Do not put too much stock into this performance as they played the win-less Jets.
They average 19.4 points per game, making them the 29th best scoring offense in the NFL. They will need Newton to take care of the ball against the Ravens, something he has struggled with this season.
The Patriots’ defense also put together a nice performance, but again, this was against the Jets. They rank 13th in the NFL in total defense, 7th in passing defense and 28th in rushing defense. They only allow 23.9 points per game, but Baltimore is likely going to score some points.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Over 41.5
Both defenses are good here, but this still feels like a total that is far too low. I expect the Pats to overperform, which will help the total fly over.
