If you read Sports Illustrated Atlanta is winning the Super Bowl this season. That may not be en extreme opinions but they are definitely not my choice. Maybe this is an upset spot though as they catch the champs looking the other way.

The Eagles are in a great position to get back to the playoffs and maybe make another Super Bowl run.
There is some murkiness to the start of their season as it is not entirely obvious who will play quarterback and they have other injuries too. .
Atlanta Falcons
After their emotionally crushing loss to New England the season before things were not so great for Atlanta last season. They did return to the playoffs but it seemed like nothing was easy. They are primed to do so again this season but if they are really going to be a threat they need their top players to be in better form.
At the top of that list is quarterback Matt Ryan. He was the MVP in 2016 but just average last season. The impact of losing his coordinator might have been the reason but that is a hard point to prove.
What is easy to see is that the Falcons have more than enough talent to be one of the top offenses in the league again.
They might even have more with the addition of top pick WR Calvin Ridley to an impressive group.

Even though they won one fewer game during the regular season the defensive numbers of the Falcons improved greatly last season. They got one super game out of Adrian Clayborn but that was kind of it in terms of a pass rush a year ago.
Vic Beasley fell off hugely and they need to get him and other disruptors going up front.
As for the running game, it was the only spotlight on the offense as beast mode would finish the day with 95 rushing yards on 25 carries. Almost a 100 yard day for the once retired football player.
Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia has a lot of reasons to think they are going to challenge for the Super Bowl again this season and depth at quarterback is one of them. Who starts in week one is still a mystery though.
We all know the story of Carson Wentz and Nick Foles from a year ago. As this is being written Wentz is considered questionable for this game and we might not know for sure til closer to kickoff.

What we do know is that the bulk of the rest of the team is back and that is why they are still a favourite. Whoever is under center though this not have Alshon Jeffery to throw to.
More than you takes the snaps I am more worried about the defense for this one. Their two best pass rushing ends are questionable – Michael Bennett and Brandon Graham – and they are facing an offense that you do not want to give time to pick you apart.
This is likely to be a much higher scoring game than when they met in the playoffs last season.
