This year, I can’t wait to NOT watch this game. You need 20 minutes to read the injury reports for this one. It’s two “not very good” football teams matching up.
These two teams have faced off 33 times, counting one postseason game. In those matchups, Atlanta have come out victorious 16 times, while Arizona have secured 17 wins.
In their only head to head matchup last season, the Falcons won by a score of 20-19. With their combined 39 points, the Falcons and Cardinals stayed below the over/under line of 40.5.
The Cardinals covered the spread in this matchup. Offensively, the Falcons finished with 298 total yards with 166 coming in the passing game and 132 on the ground.
The Cardinals finished with 339 yards of offense in the loss.
This year it’s the 25th best offense (ATL) vs. the 28th ranked offense (ARZ). It’s the 18th best defense (ATL) vs. the 27th ranked defense (ARZ).

4* Free Week 10 NFL Betting Prediction: Falcons -1
Clayton Tune didn’t exactly start his Cardinals career off with a bang did he? Did his performance inspire any confidence from you? Can you even bring yourself to bet on the Cardinals this week? I can’t. Kyler Murray or no Kyler Murray.
I’m going with the Falcons on the spread, with the line sitting at -1. I anticipate the Arizona rushing offense getting shut down and Atlanta forcing Clayton Tune or Murray (if he starts) to try to beat them. After last week’s debacle I can’t see it happening.
I expect Atlanta to capitalize on the vulnerabilities in Arizona offense, and it shouldn’t be close. Lock in Atlanta -1.
The Cardinals and their fans are hoping for positive Kyler Murray injury news this week. (They’ll likely get it, but my hopes aren’t up that he regains top form just yet) I need to see a week first.
Small lean on the Falcons -1. (Small I said)
Falcons are an underdog, and when they are they score usually goes UNDER (6-0 L6 when 0.5->3pt dogs)
My big bet will be on the UNDER in this matchup.
I’m taking the under even with the current over/under line at 42. Throughout the season, games involving Atlanta have averaged 39.8 points per game, and I anticipate this game will not exceed 42. The total has gone UNDER in 11 of Atlanta’s last 15 games, and in in 6 of Atlanta’s last 8 games played in November.
The Murray/Tune vs. Heinicke Bowl… no thanks.
