Dave B’s Fantasy 5 QB Rankings – DFS
The time is almost here – the time that we determine whether or not all of the Fantasy draft prep and the work on draft day will pay off. Will burning that first round pick on Andrew Luck or Aaron Rodgers be the right strategy? It’s DFS time.

Will waiting a while to take a QB be the ticket to winning your Fantasy league? It all starts Thursday – I can’t wait!
There are some superb Quarterback plays in Week 1 – the Studs shouldn’t let you down. But there are some better options than others. Let’s take a look at the top 5 QB plays in what should be an explosive Week 1.
1. Aaron Rodgers – Green Bay Packers
vs. Chicago Bears
Sure Rodgers will be without some of his top weapons but he is still the most dominant pivot in the game and he had the honor of playing against one of the most horrific pass defenses in the game. The Pack will be out to make a statement – Rodgers will be the beneficiary.
300 yards and 2TDs at least this week.
2. Andrew Luck – Indianapolis Colts
vs. Buffalo Bills
The Colts actually have a difficult matchup in Week 1 or Luck would be #1. He has traditionally been noticeably worse on the road than at home and he plays a Bills team that has quietly assembled one of the most impressive pass rushes in the game – they allowed the second fewest Fantasy points against to QBs last year.
The addition of Rex Ryan certainly does nothing to make me think that Luck is in for a monster game. Luck is good for 275 yards and 2TDs – not quite the elite numbers you would expect at this point.
3. Tom Brady – New England Patriots
vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Most point to the revenge factor as a reason to rank Tom Brady highly this week. I have him top 5 for a few other reasons. How about the fact that his defense is likely to give up some points against a good Pittsburgh defense? How about the fact that his running game is sketchy at best right now?
How about the fact that he’s Tom Brady with a healthy Rob Gronkowski? It all adds up to a huge week for Tom Terrific.
4. Matt Ryan – Atlanta Falcons
vs. Philadelphia Eagles
let’s face it – the Eagles are going to put up a ton of points against Atlanta’s still brutal defense meaning that Ryan is going to have to throw to keep up. It’s gonna be a good old-fashioned shoot-out vs. Phili – expect big numbers for Ryan.
5. Ben Roethlisberger – Pittsburgh Steelers
vs. New England Patriots
Thursday night has all the makings of an incredible shootout. Ben will be without LeVeon Bell and will get a crack at a Pats secondary that took more hits than a Ronda Rousey opponent this past offseason.
I love the shootout and Thursday night’s game will be one.
Other Sneaky Good Starts: Ryan Tannehill – Miami Dolphins, Sam Bradford – Philadelphia Eagles
