10-28-17 | Lakers v. Jazz -9.5 | 81-96 | Win | 100 | 16 h 57 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NBA Saturday Slam is on the Utah Jazz The Jazz is off to a slow start as they almost always have been the last several years and of an especially embarrassing loss at Phoenix. Utah will be focused and out to lay one on someone and it's the Lakers in the wrong spot at the right time, fat and happy after OT win over the Wiz in their latest. Utah does whatever it wants on the offensive end and wins this win by 20. |
10-28-17 | Dodgers v. Astros -122 | 6-2 | Loss | -122 | 16 h 40 m | Show
Jeff Allen's World Series game Four Double Pay is on the Houston Astros Charly Morton pitched very well in the ALCS Championship game against the Yankees and shouldn't be phased here in Game Four of the World Series. Peacocks big effort means the Astros only used two pitchers and that the entire pen other than Peacock is good to go. Astros bats are hot at just the rot time. Take Houston. |
10-28-17 | Florida Atlantic -6.5 v. Western Kentucky | 42-28 | Win | 100 | 29 h 14 m | Show
Jeff Allen's CUSA Game of the Month is on the Florida Atlantic Owls Lane Kiffin has the Owls hitting cylinders and is one of just two CUSA teams left unbeaten in conference. FAU just handed North Texas its first CUSA loss in a game where the OWS scored on their first 11 possessions and rolling to a CUSA record 804 yards in a 69-31 spanking of the Mean Green. The Owls are in a revenge spot here for a 52-3 punking administered by the Jeff Brohm run Hilltoppers last year. WKY has done some nice things but is just 1-5-1 against the points this year. Toppers are last in the nations in running yards per game and will have to get it exclusively through the air. |
10-28-17 | Wisconsin -26.5 v. Illinois | 24-10 | Loss | -110 | 25 h 27 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Opening Kickoff Moneymaker is the Wisconsin Badgers Wisconsin can run up the score here until Paul Chryst calls off the dogs. The Badgers beat a better Ilinois team last year 48-3, has won seven straight in the series and has covered four of the last five. Further, the Badgers are 9-2 ATS L11 on the road, 2-0 this year, and face an Illini team on Homecoming that is just 1-6 ATS this year. Illinois quarterbacks have thrown for five touchdowns this year. The Badger defense has four pick-sixes by itself. That pretty much tells you the disparity between these two teams. |
10-27-17 | Tulsa v. SMU -8.5 | 34-38 | Loss | -110 | 50 h 44 m | Show
Jeff Allen's TGIF Colege Football Bankroll Builder is on SMU Tulsa is a one trick pony on offense, it runs the ball and their best back is dinged and currently a game-time decision. The Golden Hurricane defense is the second WORST in the country and faces an SMU team averaging better than 250 yards on the ground and through the air. Triple revenge spot also for 5-2 SMU who will also become bowl eligible with a win here. |
10-27-17 | Dodgers v. Astros -128 | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 17 h 14 m | Show
Jeff Allen's World Series Lock of the Year is on the Houston Astros Now it's Houston's turn to get fat at home. The Astros are plenty familiar with Darvish who faced them a couple of times a year in the Governors Cup while with the Rangers. This year Darvish was 1-1 in two starts vs. Houston allowing four earned runs in 12 innings pitched. McCullers has been good in the postseason but wi have to stretch it out and give Hinch some innings as middle relief favors the Dodgers. Houston gets to Darvish early and improves to 7-0 at home this postseason. |
10-27-17 | Spurs -5.5 v. Magic | 87-114 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 30 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Friday NBA Slam Dunk is on the San Antonio Spurs The Spurs have been without Kawhi Leonard bit are still 4-0 without too much exertion. Pop has this team hitting on all cylinders right out of the gate and face a team that has seemingly been in a decade-long rebuild. The Spurs won both meetings by double-digits last year and should be able to bully a young an learning home team here. |
10-26-17 | Dolphins +3 v. Ravens | 0-40 | Loss | -105 | 26 h 5 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Thursday NFL Double Best Bet is on the Miami Dolphins Baltimore has won six of the last seven series game and hammered the Fish 38-6 last year but these Ravens are a shell of themselves. The Black Birds are on a 1-4 SU and ATS skid and Flacco averaged less than 5 yards per attempt in last. Moore might be an upgrade over Cutler and this Rodney Dangerfield of a backup is actually 15-13 LT as a starter. Miami straight up. |
10-26-17 | Mavs v. Grizzlies -8 | 91-96 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 33 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Thursday Night NBA Nothing but Net is on the Memphis Grizzlies This is a rare 24 hour home and home that saw Dallas hand the Grizz their first loss of the season last night in Big D. In that game, Memphis turned the ball over an uncharactersitic 17 times, shot the ball poorly, and never was able to put together a stretch to cut into what was basically a 10-point lead the entire second half. Dallas had been 0-4 prior and not really competitive in any of those four losses. The Mavs get mauled tonight in Memphis. |
10-25-17 | Astros +105 v. Dodgers | 7-6 | Win | 105 | 11 h 34 m | Show
Jeff Allen's World Series Game II Double Play is on the Houston Astros This is a must-win for the Astros and it's their best spot to do it. Rich Hill toes the bump for Los Angeles and is the weakest link of the starters. He has a 1.69 ERA in the playoffs but has a short leash and will basically o five innings and turn things over to the pen. Verlander has not lost as an Astro and can throw a 125 pitch complete game if necessary. At the end of the day, Houston must scratch out some runs and their best shot is to get to Hill early. They do. |
10-25-17 | Rockets -3 v. 76ers | 105-104 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 58 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Wednesday NBA Rim Rockers is on the Houston Rockets The 76ers are off their first win of the year and on the road to boot at Detroit. They face a tougher assignment here against a veteran team that likes to get up and down and does it better than the 76ers. Chris Paul is out but the Rockets have the depth to carry on. The Rockets are off a horrendous shooting night in a loss to Memphis and get back on track here. Houston by 10. |
10-24-17 | Astros +156 v. Dodgers | 1-3 | Loss | -100 | 35 h 40 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Astros/Dodgers Game One Triple Play is on the Houston Astros The Dodgers have not lost in the playoffs at home this year and throw arguably the best pitchers in baseball in Game One. Kershaw has been decent in the postseason but he's given up and uncharacteristic amount of walks and six HRs in his 17 1/3 innings work. His ERA is a pedestrian 3.64 and he hasn't been hurt because the Dodger is hitting and has taken care of everything. Throwout Keuchel's last start on short rest. He's nails on regular rest and has no excuses here. His numbers are similar to Kershaw (16-6, 2.87) and his lineup is better than anything the Dodgers have seen to this point. They say that a series doesn't start until the road team wins. The road team gets the money in Game One and it's on. |
10-23-17 | Redskins v. Eagles -4.5 | 24-34 | Win | 100 | 11 h 44 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Monday Night Mayhem winner is on the Philadelphia Eagles These two teams met in Game One with the Eagles snapping a five-game series skid with a 30-17 win at Fed Ex Field. Both teams playing well with the Skins 3-1 in their L4 and Philly winning four straight and covering its L3. Wentz seemingly gets better every week and the Eagles are on extra prep time off Thursday night win at Carolina. The 5-1 Eagles are for real and this is just their third home game and the loss coming at Kansas City in a game they led most of the way through three quarters. Fired up Philly brings the heat to Cousins and gets through with a 10-point home win. |
10-22-17 | Falcons +3.5 v. Patriots | 7-23 | Loss | -115 | 17 h 34 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Sunday Night Football Lock Parlay of the Year is the Falcons and Over Besides the obvious revenge spot for the Dirty Birds, New England has given up 33+ in every home game this year and Matty Ice will be licking his chops just to even get a shot at Pat's secondary. Atlanta with balanced run/pass option face the defense that will get them healthy as opponents have gone over 400+ yards in each game this year. Defensively, Hotlanta going after Brady at every opportunity. Atlanta 38-35 |
10-22-17 | Falcons v. Patriots OVER 56.5 | 7-23 | Loss | -105 | 17 h 34 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Sunday Night Football Lock Parlay of the Year is the Falcons and Over New England 1-2 SU and ATS at home this year allowing 33+ in each of those three games which ended with 69, 69, and 63 total points to be scored. Atlanta will do some damage against the league's worst defense and none other than Tom Brady will be the one slinging football leather here in catchup. Play the Over. |
10-22-17 | Cardinals v. Rams UNDER 45.5 | 0-33 | Win | 100 | 16 h 12 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NFC Total of the Month is on the Cards/Rams Under Not putting too much credence into Arizona's offensive explosion last week against a weak Tampa Bay defense. It was the Cards first cover all year and four of its last five have gone under the total. The over is 4-1-1 in Ram games this year but situationally we still have Los Angeles ... 12-5 Under in games where the line falls between + or -3, 9-5 low when favored and 9-5 under vs. division opponents. With the Cards bringing the heat all day against Carson Palmer, look for this one to fly under the total. |
10-22-17 | Bucs v. Bills -3 | 27-30 | Push | 0 | 16 h 4 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Bucs/Bills Triple Best Bet is on the Buffalo Bills Jameis could go for Tampa or if not it will by Ryan Fitzpatrick who played well in relief last week when Winston went down. In either case, Jameis with a bad shoulder or Fitzmagic who is 46-69-1 as an NFL starter, neither will be able to solve a Buffalo defense that has been especially good at home. Tyrod should be able to do plenty of good things against Buc defense and NFC South teams out of division are just 7-12 ATS while AFC East team are 9-5 ATS outside the division. Giving Buffalo a 26-16 win in this one. |
10-21-17 | Blazers +3 v. Bucks | 110-113 | Push | 0 | 10 h 35 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saturday NBA Slam Dunk is on the Portland Trailblazers Portland has the best guard tandem in the NBA with Lillard/McCollum and also play great defense. The Blazers blew out their first two opponents and rolled through the preseason. The Bucks were spanked by the Lebrons last night, no shame there but the assignment doesn't get any easier here. Portland straight up. |
10-21-17 | Rice v. UTSA -19.5 | 7-20 | Loss | -110 | 54 h 5 m | Show
Jeff Allen's CFB Bully Beat Down is on the USTA Roadrunners Rice is 0-4 SU and ATS its L4 and has been outgained by 127 ypg. over the course of the season. USTA has a top-flight defense and has outgained its opponents by 157 yards per. The Roadrunners are off B2B close losses and there is no better way to get back on track than to take the Rice-A-Ronis behind the woodshed at home before appreciative fans. USTA 45-6. |
10-21-17 | SMU -7.5 v. Cincinnati | 31-28 | Loss | -105 | 51 h 8 m | Show
Jeff Allen's AAC Game of the Month is on the SMU Mustangs (7-2 cfb run) The 4-2 Mustangs have had an extra week to prepare and also stew after getting physically manhandled by Houston in last. The SMU face a patsy here that has lost and failed to cover four straight. Cincinnati is an awful 0-4 as a home dog, soon to be 0-5 after the conclusion of festivities today. |
10-21-17 | Kent State v. Ohio -19 | 3-48 | Win | 100 | 49 h 7 m | Show
Jeff Allen's MAC Conference Money Move is on the Ohio Bobcats 7-2 cfb run) Ohio faces a Kent State outfit that can't score and has no passing attack whatsoever. Kent will be running the ball at a defense that allows just a tick better than three yards per carry. Ohio has rushed for 6.8 ypc. over its last three games and will beat wear down the Flashes with their relentless ground and pound. |
10-21-17 | Pittsburgh v. Duke -8 | 24-17 | Loss | -110 | 48 h 31 m | Show
Jeff Allen's ACC GAME OF THE YEAR is on the Duke Blue Devils (7-2 run) Pitt is 8-4 L12 as an a RD and Duke just 1-6 L7 as a HF vs. Power 5 opposition but this is a special double revenge spot for Duke an injury riddled Pitt Panther team that poured it on them last year. Pitt with all kinds of quarterback problems will have trouble putting up points while Duke is not likely to take its foot off the pedal. Duke 38-14. |
10-20-17 | Air Force v. Nevada +7 | 45-42 | Win | 100 | 10 h 34 m | Show
Jeff Allen's CFB Underdog of the Month is on the Nevada Wolf Pack Air Force stormed back from 27-0 down to beat UNLV for its first Div I win. The Flyboys are favored despite being 0-3 on the road and allowing better than 44 ppg. The Pack is showing "buy" signs and led into the fourth quarter in a tough 44-42 loss to a much better Colorado State last week. Nevada throwing for 500+ yards. First time for first-year NV HV Norvell to defend option but if they can slow things down they can win this game straight up in a shootout. |
10-20-17 | Yankees v. Astros -132 | 1-7 | Win | 100 | 19 h 57 m | Show
Jeff Allen's ALCS Game Six Triple Play is on the Houston Astros Severino (15-6, 3.12) and Verlander (17-8, 3.26) have similar season numbers but that is where all similarity ends and they have had two very different playoffs. Severino has been a nightmare since not getting anyone out and giving up three runs all the way back in the wildcard game against the Twins. Verlander is a been there and done that vet who pitched a 9-inning complete game vs. the Bombers and Severini is 2-1 win Oct 14th in Game Two. Houston traded to get Verlander for exactly this spot and he does not disappoint. Astros 4-2. |
10-20-17 | Hawks v. Hornets -6 | 91-109 | Win | 100 | 18 h 43 m | Show
Jeff Allen's TGIF NBA Slam Dunk is on the Charlotte Hornets The Hornets lost an uneventful opener in Detroit where the Hornets struggled and trailed start to finish. Kemba Walker still quarterbacks the club and is the leading scorer. The Hornets are a very good defensive club that should hold the Hawks too much less than the 51% it shot from the field at Dallas in the opener. Charlotte is very tough at home and is 3-0 straight up and 3-0-1 in the series the last two years. The Hornets even their record with the double-digit win on home court. |
10-19-17 | Knicks v. Thunder -12 | 84-105 | Win | 100 | 9 h 33 m | Show
Jeff Allen Thursday Night NBA Rim Rocker is on the OKC Thunder The Knicks are a trainwreck and were the only team to go winless in the preseason checking in at 0-5. The Knicks have the least talented roster in the NBA and even in the low rent district East, this team will be lucky to win 20 games. OKC looked sharp in the preseason going 4-1 and get off to a fast start in a laugher here. Carmelo is going to enjoy this. |
10-19-17 | Memphis v. Houston -3 | 42-38 | Loss | -108 | 10 h 43 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Thursday Night NCAAF Lock Parlay winner is on the Houston Cougars Big revenge spot here for Houston which is home after being embarrassed at Tulsa and remembering that Memphis beat them last year with a touchdown in the final 19 seconds. Memphis is ripe for the picking here with "star" QB Riley Ferguson nursing a gimpy knee and having faced Navy last week where the Tiger "D" saw 68 running plays. Houston locked up SMU in last home game, does the same to Memphis here. |
10-19-17 | UL-Lafayette v. Arkansas State -12.5 | 3-47 | Win | 100 | 9 h 14 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Thursday Night NCAAF Lock Parlay winner is on the Arkansas State Red Wolves This is the ultimate revenge spot for Arkansas State which saw it's 15-game SBC win streak snapped last year by Lafayette, 24-19 on a controversial play to end the game. The Red Wolves have the best of the quarterback play with Hanson over Nunez and this has been a money spot in the past with ASU going 23-12 L35 as a home favorite and 14-4 ATS L18 in the conference. Arkansas State big. |
10-18-17 | Hawks v. Mavs -6 | 117-111 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 48 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Day Two NBA Blue Chip is on the Dallas Mavs Dallas figures to be much improved this year after tanking the second half of last year. Dennis Smith Jr. is one of top three rookies in the NBA this year and figures to be a 20/7/7 guy right off the bat as a combo guard. If preseason is any indication, Harrison Barnes is out of his shooting slump and should have a big year. The Hawks take a big step backward after getting stripped bare in free agency. Lay the points. |
10-18-17 | Astros -112 v. Yankees | 0-5 | Loss | -112 | 8 h 46 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Astros/Yankees Game Five Triple Play is on the Houston Astros Dallas Keuchel (16-5, 2.73) has been Houston's best pitcher all year, at least until the Astros got Verlander, and he's been a Yankee killer his entire career to boot. He's 6-2 with a 1.09 ERA in 8 LT starts and comes off 7 innings of four-hit shutout ball in Game One. He's on full rest so barring any unexpected loss of form, he should be able to stop the bleeding for Houston. |
10-17-17 | Rockets +9.5 v. Warriors | 122-121 | Win | 100 | 12 h 36 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Rockets/Warriors Opening Night Slam Dunk TNT opens up with two possible conference final previews with Houston/Golden State in the nightcap. Houston needs to do some fine tuning with CP3 running the show but the Rockets probably have a starting five that is as close to Golden State as any team in the league. The Warriors have started slowly, at least by the way we keep score, the past couple of years and have several people dinged with minor injuries. Add in the banner and ring stuff plus the 9.5 points, we'll grab the dog on opening night. |
10-17-17 | Dodgers v. Cubs -112 | 6-1 | Loss | -112 | 11 h 45 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Dodgers/Cubs NLCS Double Play is on the Chicago Cubs The Cubs have made it easy on the Dodgers, scoring first and then not hitting the rest of the way and hoping those early runs would hold up. Darvish is an enigmatic starter that is either very good or very bad. In Kyle Hendricks, if you throw out last short rest playoff start vs. the Nats, we have the best pitcher in baseball in the second half with a 1.19 ERA. If Hendricks comes back to form and the Cubs get any kind of timely hitting, the Blue Bears should get this series to 2-1. |
10-16-17 | Astros v. Yankees UNDER 8.5 | 1-8 | Loss | -100 | 19 h 15 m | Show
Jeff Allen's ALCS Game Three Triple Play is on the Astros/A's Under Both games in Houston ended 2-1 with the Astros scratching out a late run in both games to hold serve at Minute Maid Park. Can expect much of the same from these two starters who both toe the rubber for six innings and leaving hoping to give their team a chance to win. Charlie Morton (14-7, 3.64) is loving life as an Astro. C.C. has had a great season rocking a 2.70 ERA in his L3 starts including two ALDS starts against Cleveland. All hands available after off day so this one might also very well end 2-1, 4-3, 3-2 ... all comfortably under tonight's 8.5 total runs. |
10-15-17 | Cubs +139 v. Dodgers | 1-4 | Loss | -100 | 15 h 45 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NLCS Game Two Double Play is on the Cubs The Cubs were in an impossible position last night after marathon with Nats on Thursday. The Northsiders still could have won after getting to Kershaw early and then leaving Quintana in two batters too long. Cubbies get a pro in Jon Lester here facing LAD weakest link Rich Hill. ChiCubs send it back to Wrigley 1-1 with a win here. |
10-15-17 | Steelers v. Chiefs -3.5 | 19-13 | Loss | -108 | 12 h 51 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Steelers/Chiefs NFL Power Move is the Kansas City Chiefs Kansas City is the best team in football and finds itself in a great spot against hated Pittsburgh. The Steelers have played one complete game in five, seemingly have problems in the locker room, and a quarterback with a serious lack of confidence at the moment. Pitt has won five of six in the series including twice last year so Chiefs with some serious double revenge her. Alex Smith has almost been perfect and has gone from zero to 55 in two years with all the weapons he has at his disposal. Kelce is big edge and a game changer. Kansas City 27-17. |
10-15-17 | Bears v. Ravens UNDER 39.5 | 27-24 | Loss | -125 | 9 h 22 m | Show
Jeff Allen Presidential NFL Total of the Month is on the Bear/Ravens Under The Bears were -7 in turnover with Glennon which prompted the move to Trubinsky who was decent in debut but ended the night throwing a pick in the final three minutes to make Chitown losers. First road start in a tough venue and Fox will be content to handoff and keep it vanilla here. Ravens doing Bear minimum on offense and were fortunate defense got a quick score to get things going in win over Oakland in last. The Black Birds are 8-3 Under in L1 home games. Play the Under here. |
10-15-17 | Packers -3 v. Vikings | 10-23 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 55 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Black and Blue Division Triple Best Bet is on the Packers Something has to give in the Black and Blue Division classic. The Vikings haven't allowed a first-half touchdown in their last three games and none of those three opponents scored more than 17 over the full 60 minutes. The Packers have scored back-to-back games of 35 points despite a myriad of injuries, especially to the offensive line. Classic Rodgers in last vs. the Cowboys and the Packers 11-3-1 L15 in the series. Lay it. |
10-15-17 | Dolphins v. Falcons -13 | 20-17 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 40 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Week Six NFL Blowout is on the Atlanta Falcons The Miami offense is in big trouble after firing it's OC for off the field issues after the offense could on;y manage three touchdowns in its L42 drives. Not good vs. a Falcon outfit that is home and off a loss and off its bye. The off week couldn't have happened at a better time for the Dirty Birds who were dealing with injuries. Julio Jones goes and with a two-pronged running attack, the Falcons easily handle the Fish 34-10. |
10-14-17 | Yankees v. Astros -130 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 7 h 4 m | Show
Jeff Allen's ALCS Game Two Triple Play is on the Houston Astros Severino bounced back from tough start against the Twins in the Wild Card game to pitch well vs. the Indians but not sure he has the stuff to win here against a proven playoff veteran. The Astros may have punched their ticket to the World Series when they picked up Verlander who has been through this several times with the Tigers. He's tough at home and he's tough in the second half, and hasn't had a bad start yet as an Astro. |
10-14-17 | Colorado -11 v. Oregon State | 36-33 | Loss | -105 | 78 h 0 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saturday CFB Road Warrior is the Colorado Buffaloes Oregon State is in a tough spot. It's homecoming week and the Beavers parted ways with HC Gary Andersen by mutual agreement. They have a bye on deck next week to regroup but that won't help here vs. an angry group of Buffaloes who were shredded at home by Arizona last week. Colorado is 10-1 ATS in L11 roadies while Beavers already have four FBS losses by 28+ points. Buffs get back on track here. |
10-14-17 | Toledo -7.5 v. Central Michigan | 30-10 | Win | 100 | 78 h 40 m | Show
Jeff Allen's MAC Conference Game of the Month is on the Toledo Rockets Central Michigan is off an upset of Ohio in last. They have a quarterback transfer from Michigan that Harbaugh wishes he had back. Toledo really hasn't played Rocket football this year and looked flat and rusty off a rare two-week bye last week in 20-15 win over the EMUs. Toledo has dominated this series winning seven straight by an average of 16 ppg (501 yards offense) and is in top role of road favorite where Toledo is 5-1 L6. Chip 91st ranked defense can't contain Rocket team speed. |
10-14-17 | Ohio -9.5 v. Bowling Green | 48-30 | Win | 100 | 61 h 49 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saturday CFB Bully Beat Down is on the Ohio Bobcats Ohio snapped a three-game series losing streak to the BG's last year and the Bobcats will be in a bad mood after dropping home game o Central Mich in latest. The Falcons would be 0-6 if not for late scoop and score last week vs. Miami, Oh. BG tailor-made for Ohio who runs the ball down your throat and stops the run. Bowling Green can't throw the ball and allows 5.6 ypc. to opposing ground attacks. Ohio 35-10. |
10-14-17 | NC State -11 v. Pittsburgh | 35-17 | Win | 100 | 58 h 42 m | Show
Jeff Allen's ACC Game of the Month is on the North Carolina State Wolfpack NC State proved that its upset of Florida State was no fluke by locking up Lamar Jackson and Louisville last week. The Wolfpack defense is a killer against the run and this week face a backup quarterback that replaces injured USC-transfer Max Browne. The Wolfpack QB Finley just doesn't turn the ball over and his 10-0 TD/Int ration is among best in FBS. In the end, the NC State stop unit saves the day in 35-17 type of win. |
10-13-17 | Yankees +150 v. Astros | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 13 h 24 m | Show
Jeff Allen's ALCS Game One Double Play is on the New York Yankees Dallas Keuchel has owned the Yankees over his seven career starts going 5-2 with a 1.24 ERA but he hasn't shown himself to be anything more than a five to six inning guy in the playoffs. Masahiro Tanaka is a hit/miss type of guy who is brilliant when he's on. If we get the fist pumping zoned in Tanaka that completely shut down the Indians, the Bombers have a big chance to steal Game One. The Yanks are loose and playing with house money and just don't quit. |
10-12-17 | Cubs -105 v. Nationals | 9-8 | Win | 100 | 9 h 7 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NLDS Game Five Triple Play is on the Chicago Cubs The Nats got the money in Game Four but spent most of their ammunition to do it. It's all hands on deck tonight but the Geo/Tanner Roark combo just does not matchup with Kyle Hendricks who was the hottest pitcher in the second half bar none. A repeat of his Game One start put the Blue Bears in the NLCS with the Dodgers. |
10-12-17 | Texas State v. UL-Lafayette -13.5 | 7-24 | Win | 100 | 8 h 7 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Thursday Night College Blue Chip is on UL Lafayette The Cajuns have dominated the series with the Bobcats since Texas State entered the SBC going 4-0 SU and ATS with all four wins by 22+ points. That doesn't figure to change here as the Cats struggle to score points, especially on the road where they've been beaten 37-3 and 45-0 outside of Texas. ULL rolls to a big win here. |
10-11-17 | South Alabama v. Troy UNDER 50 | 19-8 | Win | 100 | 16 h 22 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Wednesday Night College Blue Chip is on SAU/Troy Under While both these teams played pretty tough non-conference schedules, neither team is overly blessed offensively as neither averages more than 24 ppg. Troy is ranked No.31 in the FBS and has already beaten the likes of LSU. Throw out South Alabama's games against Ole Miss, Okie State, and Alabama and the two games against their own kind produced 52 and 50 points. Troy is 5-0 to the Under this year, SAU 4-1 low. Points will be tough to come by here. Play the Under. |
10-09-17 | Vikings -3.5 v. Bears | 20-17 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 44 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Monday Night Mayhem is on the Minnesota Vikings The Vikes get a boost with Sam Bradford reportedly active and expecting to start. He should be able to do some business against a shaky Bear secondary that has been picked on at times. Chitown leading tackler Dan Trevathan out two games for "Blow to the head" suspension. Even with Keenum, Vikes a solid team, 7th in total offense and 9th in total defense but now that top pick Dalvin Cook is out for the year, better to have Bradford who does not turn the ball over and can manage a game. Vikes with 29 and 34 points in wins, 9 and 7 points in losses. Look for Bradford to really attack the red zone tonight at Soldier Field. |
10-09-17 | Nationals -112 v. Cubs | 1-2 | Loss | -112 | 6 h 4 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Nats/Cubs Game Three Triple Play is on the Nats The question here is, is Max Scherzer close to 100% and how long can he go. If he is near 100% and goes a minimum of seven innings, the Nats have a big edge and if they get runs, won't have to use much pen. Washington got late life with Harper/Zimm late homers on Saturday night. Today they take the defending World Champions to the edge of elimination. Take Washington. |
10-08-17 | Chiefs v. Texans +1.5 | 42-34 | Loss | -115 | 17 h 14 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Sunday Night Football Triple Play is on he Houston Texans The Chiefs are not in a great spot on the short work week from Monday night plus the travel. They've played great and are the league's last unbeaten but ... they find a Houston Texan team here that is brimming with confidence after turning over the reigns to Deshaun Watson. The rookie from Clemson has directed the offense to 90 points the last two weeks. The Texan defense is getting better every week and this is basically the same outfit that beat the Chiefs 19-12 in Week Two last year. Right back. |
10-08-17 | Seahawks +1.5 v. Rams | 16-10 | Win | 100 | 13 h 58 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Week Five NFL Dog Bite is on the Seattle Seahawks Russell Wilson has the Seahawk offense humming with 8 touchdowns over their L23 drives. The defense is finally getting in sync and will be fringing the heat on Goff and Co. The Rams are leading the league in scoring bit haven't faced the likes of what they'll see here today. The Rams are favored over the Seahawks for just the 4th time in 27 meetings. Don't drink the Kool-Aid. Seattle 30-23. |
10-08-17 | Panthers v. Lions -2.5 | 27-24 | Loss | -103 | 10 h 55 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NFC Insider is on the Detroit Lions The Panthers are 9-1 L10 as road dogs and the Lions are 12-4-3 as home faves under Caldwell so something has to give. Despite upsetting the Pats last week, Carolina has allowed 7 TDs in their opponents last 19 drives and have gained more than 288 yards of total offense just once. Lions are +9 already in the turnover department and will have something cooking for turnover machine Cam Newton. Detroit by 10. |
10-08-17 | 49ers +2 v. Colts | 23-26 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 16 m | Show
Jeff Allen's 49ers/Colts Early Game Spectacular is on the San Francisco 49ers San Francisco has been knocking on the door the last three weeks (losses of 3-2-3) and this week they are ready to kick that door down. The 49ers offense should do some business against s stop unit that completely melted down in the Indy meltdown at Seattle. This is the first time that Indy has been favored this year and they are just 5-7 in that roll over the L3 years. Fading the Colts when getting points against a desperate NFC team looking for first win. San Fran 16-13 straight up. |
10-07-17 | Diamondbacks +132 v. Dodgers | 5-8 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 14 m | Show
Jeff Allen's DBacks/Dodgers Game Two Triple Best Bet is on Arizona Robbie Ray has had a break out year overall at 15-5 with a 2.89 ERA, 8-1 with a 1.86 ERA where he has been the nuts. Snakes had to use him a couple of innings in the Wildcard game but he's reportedly good to go here. Ray started three times against the Dodgers after the 4th of July and allowed just two earned nuns on 12 hits in 20 1/3 innings work. If not thrown off his routine, he'd probaby be favored here or would have pitched Game One. |
10-07-17 | Michigan State v. Michigan UNDER 40 | 14-10 | Win | 100 | 43 h 16 m | Show
Jeff Allen's College Football Total of the Week is on Michigan State/Michigan Under Both teams play big-time defense and both teams have pillow fight offenses. Michigan State has scored just 35 combined points in its last two but allowed a pretty good Iowa team just 231 yards total offense in last week's win. Michigan has allowed just 54 total points in four games but is offensively challenged like Sparty. O'Korn might be an improvement over Speight but this one just figures to be a good old-fashioned Big Ten Slobberknocker. Play the Under. |
10-07-17 | Virginia Tech -16.5 v. Boston College | 23-10 | Loss | -110 | 56 h 32 m | Show
Jeff Allen's ACC Lock of the Month is on the Virginia Tech Hokies Boston College is 2-0 vs. the MAC but is already 0-2 in the conference having been outscored 68-17. Not sure why Chestnut Hill made V Tech the homecoming game as the Eagles have scored just 10 combined points and gained just 343 total yards in the last two meetings. The Gobblers will be in a bad mood after getting spanked by Clemson last week. Last year, Virginia Tech lost to Tennessee and beat the Eagles 49-0 the following week. Tech wins big. |
10-07-17 | Minnesota v. Purdue -4 | 17-31 | Win | 100 | 39 h 46 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Big Ten Game of the Week is on the Purdue Boilermakers Minnesota was exposed last week by Maryland and its third-string quarterback. The Terps moved the ball at will against a Gopher defense that had shut down lesser. Purdue is very attractive off a by allowing Brohm to more finally this much-improved outfit. in their two wins, the Boilers rushed for 253 and 205 yards against Ohio and Missouri which is more or less what the Boilers see here. A new culture in Lafayette has seen the homies cover last four as favorites. |
10-07-17 | West Virginia v. TCU -13 | 24-31 | Loss | -110 | 39 h 51 m | Show
Jeff Allen's West Virginia/TCU Showdown in the Big 12 West Virginia scores a lot of points with their Florida transfer gunslinger quarterback but can't seem to stop anyone which includes lowly Kansas who ran the ball for 367 yards against the Mountaineers last week. That won't cut it against a TCU team that has scored 100 points on offense in its last two games and held Mason Rudolph and Okie State to all season lows in winning that showdown two weeks ago. TCU is for real and proves it again here. |
10-06-17 | Memphis v. Connecticut OVER 72 | 70-31 | Win | 100 | 19 h 56 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Friday College Football Appetizer is on Memphis/UConn Over Don't expect much defense to be played here. Memphis gave up 250+ rushing yards to Central Florida in its first road game last week and has given up 29+ to all four opponents including an FCS school. UConn has allowed 128 points to its three FBS opponents. Memphis averaging 35.5 ppg. but also fields the No.126 ranked defense. Play the Over. |
10-05-17 | Patriots -5 v. Bucs | 19-14 | Push | 0 | 10 h 53 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Thursday Night Triple Play is on New England The Patriots are ranked first on offense and last on defense, a problem that has been creeping up on them for years. The Buccs are very solvable. If the Bucs run for 100+ yards, they win. When they run for 26 yards like they did against the Vikings, the results have not been good. Tampa Bay has not forced any turnovers the last two games and is just 4-for17 on third down in those games. Who better than to coach a team up on the road during a short work week than The Hoodie. New England by 10. |
10-04-17 | Arkansas State -7 v. Georgia Southern | 43-25 | Win | 100 | 16 h 39 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Wednesday Night NCAAF Blue Chip is on the Arkansas State Red Wolves Arkansas State has shared in or won outright four the last five Sunbelt titles so they no what up after collecting game checks against Nebraska and SMU. Their non-conference schedule in prior years has been much tougher but ... the Red Wolves should be ready to go here after vs. an opponent that is 0-3 and lost 22-12 to FCS New Hampshire. Ark State will be very focused and very dialed in as they only beat the Eagles 27-26 last year. Two different levels of Sunbelt here. Take Arkansas State. |
10-03-17 | Twins v. Yankees UNDER 7.5 | 4-8 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 32 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Twins/Yankees Wild Card Super Play is on the under In these one-game scenarios, you always want to look at the one game in its entirety rather than from a historical series point of view. Ervin Santana has been great all year for the Twinkies and though he is 6-10 with a 5.66 ERA LT vs. the Bombers, his last three starts vs. the Yanks have been money with the last two 2-1 Minnesota losses. Severino's one start vs. Minnesota meant nothing and the Yank pen is just now to the point everyone had pegged them at the start of the year. The teams played six games during the year with the under going 5-1. Same thing here. |
10-02-17 | Redskins v. Chiefs UNDER 49 | 20-29 | Push | 0 | 9 h 59 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Monday Night Mayhem Super Total is on the Redskins/Chiefs Under The Chiefs are the only unbeaten left in the NFL and we are just finishing Week IV. Both teams are very run oriented to set up the pass, the Redskin ground attack No.7, the Chiefs lead the league rushing the football thanks to super rook Kareem Hunt. Jay Gruden doesn't have the big play wideouts he's had the past two years and Andy Reid is ultra-conservative by nature so expect a vanilla type game with a lot of football between the 20's and time-consuming drives. The Under is the way to go. |
10-01-17 | Colts v. Seahawks -13 | 18-46 | Win | 100 | 24 h 21 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Sunday NFL Sunday Super Saver is on the Seattle Seahawks The Colts Jacoby Brissett makes the fourth start of his career and his first road start at one of the loudest and toughest venues of the league. Carroll is 26-16 as a road fave here and 8-3 when laying double-digits. Seattle has recently been a slow starter but as we all know, they finish and a breakout win over the Colts might set that in motion here in 2017. |
10-01-17 | Raiders v. Broncos UNDER 46 | Top | 10-16 | Win | 100 | 21 h 35 m | Show |
Jeff Allen's NFL Totals Platinum release is on the Raiders/Broncos Under The Raiders stink the place up last Sunday when they managed just 128 yards of total offense against the Redskins. Oakland failed to get the run game going and will find thing even tougher against Bronco squad allowing just 59.7 ypg. overland for the year. Points have been tough to come by in the series as three of the last four have stayed under including both (24-6, 15-12 points) of the games played here. Points will be harder to come by here. ... and the group, which knows how to |
10-01-17 | Giants +3 v. Bucs | 23-25 | Win | 100 | 20 h 50 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Week Four NFL Dog Pound Play is on the NY Giants Neither team has broken through offensively yet but, the G-Men had a big second half when they decided to throw just about everly play. Bucs secondary full of mistakes and injuries and facing an Eli who to this point is quite capable of picking Tampa Bay apart with any kind of time to throw. Bucs just 3-8 ATS L11 as home favorites and Famous Jameis will be under heat all day long. Giants 23-17. |
10-01-17 | Panthers v. Patriots -9 | 33-30 | Loss | -100 | 17 h 49 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Sunday NFL Champagne Brunch is on the New England Patriots Game write up to follow |
09-30-17 | California v. Oregon -15 | 24-45 | Win | 100 | 24 h 17 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saturday CFB Triple Play winner is on the Oregon Ducks Reports have the Quack Attack tasting a Willie Taggert hell week after giving up 459 yards in a loss at Arizona State last week. Cal was fortunate it didn't lose by three scores more vs. USC after turning the ball over six times. Ex-Duck Wilcox doing a nice job changing the culture at Berkley but the Bears are in the wrong place at the wrong time vs. what figure to be a very motivated Oregon team. |
09-30-17 | San Jose State v. UNLV -14 | 13-41 | Win | 100 | 24 h 3 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Late Show Bail Out Special is on the UNLV Rebels This is the next "most important" game in UNLV history. Rebs lost straight up four weeks ago to Howard on this field as record-breaking 44-point favorites. UNLV is 1-8 L9 as double-digit chalk and hasn't beaten San Jose State in 25 years. Like the Rebel team that despite getting whupped by Ohio State, never quit and played hard. Rebs a top 20 rushing team in the country and should grind down and a Spartan squad that hasn't stopped anyone all year. UNLV 45-17. |
09-30-17 | Florida State v. Wake Forest OVER 47.5 | 26-19 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 36 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saturday CFB Triple Play winner is on Wake/Florida State Game write up to follow |
09-30-17 | Navy -8 v. Tulsa | 31-21 | Win | 100 | 18 h 33 m | Show
Jeff Allen's College Football Conference Game of the Month is on the Navy Midshipmen Navy rushed for 569 yards against Cincinnati last week. Tulsa gave up 338 yards rushing to a less effective New Mexico squad last week. The Lobos didn't visit the end zone very often but prefer Middie finishers that get to paydirt more often than not. Navy TOP also keeps potent Golden Hurricane offense off the field which will help the final margin. Navy 49-23. |
09-30-17 | Central Michigan v. Boston College -10 | 8-28 | Win | 100 | 15 h 39 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saturday CFB Triple Play winner is on the Boston College Eagles Boston College doesn't have the same steel trap defense we've grown accustomed to the last few years but it was at its best for three-quarters as the Eagles had Clemson 7-7 in the fourth before collapsing late. Boston College is 17-0 (11-5-1 ATS) all-time against the MAC conference and faces a CMU outfit that is playing its third road game in four weeks. Boston College 31-13. |
09-30-17 | Vanderbilt v. Florida UNDER 40.5 | 24-38 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 36 m | Show
Jeff Allen's SEC TOTAL of the Year is on Vandy/Florida Under After giving up just 13 points in its first three games, Vandy was spanked by a Bama team that gave no quarter after feeling disrespected. The Commodore won't have to worry about this Gator outfit (No.113 in the FBS) dropping 59 on them anytime soon. Vandy themselves a ground and pound outfit that doesn't have much in the way of fast strike capabilities. The last two years have been Florida 13-6 and 9-7. Expect more of the same here. |
09-29-17 | Dodgers -106 v. Rockies | 1-9 | Loss | -106 | 19 h 36 m | Show
Jeff Allen Friday MLB Blue Chip is on the Los Angeles Dodgers The Rockies still have some work to do to claim that final wildcard spot and with just three games left in the regular season, they're no lock to get there tonight facing a razor-sharp Ryu and his 1.38 ERA over his L3 starts. The Dodgers are heating up having won six of seven and face Chad Bettis who has a big 8.10 ERA L3 after not getting out of the first inning two starts back. If form holds here, the Rocks will need to wait another night or get a little help from their friends. Take the Dodgers at the Tasty price. |
09-29-17 | Nebraska -5.5 v. Illinois | 28-6 | Win | 100 | 9 h 22 m | Show
The Back End of Jeff Allen's Friday Night Lock Parlay is on the Nebraska Cornhuskers The Huskers are starting to get its house back in order after a slow start. Nebraska gets the perfect cure against an Illinois team that is solid defensively but does not offer up much offensively. The Fighting Illini are just 3-8 L11 as a single-digit dog and 2-6 under Lovie as a home dog. Nebraska was down 42-14 at half in their only road games this year at Oregon. Nebraska faces nothing like that here and should come away with a 27-17 type of ten-point win. |
09-29-17 | Miami-FL v. Duke +7 | 31-6 | Loss | -120 | 8 h 18 m | Show
The Front End of Jeff Allen's Friday Night Lock Parlay is on the Duke Blue Devils Duke has stepped up to play its best football against the better competition, blowing out Northwestern and taking control over its rivalry game with North Carolina in latest. Even the win against Baylor is starting to look better as the Bears straighten themselves out. Too many points against a stingy Duke defense against the run and against a Blue Devil offense that has an excellent vertical passing game and faces a secondary here that gave up 355 years in the air to Toledo. Duke has payback on this team in so many ways ... straight up. |
09-28-17 | Bears v. Packers OVER 44.5 | 14-35 | Win | 100 | 10 h 15 m | Show
Jeff Allen's TNF Super Play is on the Bears/Packers Over This is a good spot for the Packers who likely won't get off to the bad start that they did last week against the Bengals and do some things against a team they've dominated for close to a decade. Look for Rodgers to come out throwing here as a way to establish the run. The Packers won't have to do all the heavy lifting here either as the Bears will have some success running the ball against an injury-riddled Packer defense. Injuries to both squads turns this into a shootout, play the Over.
09-28-17 | Braves -103 v. Marlins | 1-7 | Loss | -103 | 10 h 47 m | Show
Jeff Allen's MLB Double Play is on the Atlanta Braves Atlanta is 10-5 in the series this year and 15-7 the last three years at this venue. Huge pitching edge here for the Bravos with Julio Tehran (1.35 ERA L3) over Dillion Peters who has allowed 31 baserunners in is L13 2/3 innings of work. At the end of the day, you have the Braves who are still playing hard at pick while the Fish are 4-12 L16 with everybody but Stanton simply playing out the string. Take Atlanta. |
09-27-17 | Rays v. Yankees -1.5 | Top | 1-6 | Win | 100 | 14 h 34 m | Show |
JEFF ALLEN'S MLB RUN-LINE GAME OF THE YEAR is on the NY Yankees Yankee Stadium has been a House of Horrors of the Rays who are 1-7 there this year and 7-19 the last three years. Matt Andriese has hit the wall as his 8.25 ERA over his L3 starts would attest. He's facing a Bomber lineup mashing at .288 the last seven days, not a good thing for pitchers. Luis Severino is 1-0 (3-1 LT) against the Rays this year in two starts striking out a whopping 18 in just 12 innings of work. Looking for the Bronx to win this one and easily cover the run-line. |
09-26-17 | Cubs +104 v. Cardinals | 7-8 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 26 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Tuesday MLB Super Play is on the Chicago Cubs The Blue Bears can clinch their division tonight and it probably fits that they do it with Jake Arrieta who is likely making his last regular season start for the ChiCubs. Arrieta will get big money as an unrestricted free agent over the winter and the Cubs can't pay everyone. Apparently, Arrieta is the odd man out and he'll go to work tonight against a St Louis team that he's 9-3 with a 2.63 ERA LT against. He'll face Carlos Martinez who the Cubs just spanked at Wrigley 8-2 on the 15th. The Cubs take care of business tonight and at plus money to boot. |
09-25-17 | Mariners -110 v. A's | 7-1 | Win | 100 | 13 h 41 m | Show
Jeff Allen's American League Game of the Week is on the Seattle Mariners It's been a nightmare season (5-5, 4.57) for King Felix who has not got out of the fourth inning of his last two starts, both of those against Texas. That said he's 24-9 with 2.62 ERA LT vs. the A's and beat Oakland (and Daniel Gossett) the only time he faced them in 2017. Seattle is 10-6 in the series this year and 18-7 the last three years on this field. The A's have won seven straight but with smoke and mirrors as they are hitting just .247 as a team over that time. Seattle snaps out of funk with a win here. |
09-25-17 | Cowboys v. Cardinals UNDER 47 | 28-17 | Win | 100 | 9 h 60 m | Show
Jeff Allen Monday Night Mayhem is on the Cowboys/Cards Under Dak is a little beat up with a bad ankle and the Pokes are off a terrible all-around effort at Denver in Week II. Zeke is off a career-low game of just 8 yards in 9 carries so getting the run game established is going to be a top priority. that might not be that easy against a Cardinal defense allowing just 79 ypg. overland. Arizona has just three touchdowns (5 turnovers) in 24 drives this year and Carson Palmer has been terrible and stud RB David Johnson is out 12 weeks with wrist surgery. Dallas is 13-4 in its L17 road games, Arizona is 11-6 low in its L17 home games. Both teams need wins here and this could be a case of lots of football between the 20s. Play the under. |
09-24-17 | Raiders -3 v. Redskins | 10-27 | Loss | -100 | 20 h 0 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Raiders/Redskins Sunday Night Super Lock is on the Oakland Raiders The Raiders have looked like killers in their first two games, double-digit wins over the Titans and Jets. Carr hasn't missed a beat since returning from his fractured fibula, orchustraing nine TDs in 19 drives and getting points in five others. The Oakland secondary is much improved and this new stop unit really flies to the ball and tackles. RayDas 4-1 as road faves under Del Rio. 5-1 after they make Washington their third double-digit victim. |
09-24-17 | Angels v. Astros -150 | 7-5 | Loss | -150 | 17 h 41 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Sunday Night ESPN Super Lock is on the Houston Astros The Angels have played themselves out of the playoffs with six straight losses but while the Halos made a gallant try with little talent than Mike Trout, they are simply playing out the string. The Astros are 9-2 L11 and dueling with the Indians for home field throughout. Just 50 cents for the much better team that is on a roll, has the better of the pitching and lineup and still sharpening up for the postseason. |
09-24-17 | Chiefs -145 v. Chargers | 24-10 | Win | 100 | 16 h 50 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NFL Divisional Game of the Month winner is on the Kansas City Chiefs While the Chiefs find ways to win during the regular season, the Chargers just seem to find ways to lose. The Bolts are already 0-2 thanks to a brutal kicking game that missed short FGs in the final minute that would have had the Chargers 2-0. As it is now, LAC is 0-6-1 ATS L7 overall and 2-6 L8 as a home dog. Alex Smith should be able to make things happen for the Chiefs who are 11-2 as a road fave under Reid and 10-2 ATS in AFC West road games the last four years. |
09-24-17 | Falcons v. Lions +3 | 30-26 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 28 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Week III NFL Upset Shocker is on the Detroit Lions Everything is great in the Motor City. Mathew Stafford is now the highest paid QB in the league and HC Jim Caldwell just got a new extension on Friday. Short week for the Lions who have scored a defensive touchdown or special teams touchdown or both in each of their first two games. The Falcons are just 4-4 L8 as road favorites and were life and death to beat the Bears at Soldier Field in their road opener. Nobody has more fourth-quarter comebacks in the last three years than the Lions and with Stafford, the back door is always open. Lions straight up. |
09-24-17 | Browns v. Colts UNDER 42.5 | 28-31 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 19 m | Show
Jeff Allen's NFL Total of the Week is on the Browns and Colts Under These game features a match up of two very inept offenses that happen to have serviceable defenses. The Browns are 5-24 on third down this year. The Colts have scores 22 total points in two games with just two touchdowns in 25 drives with 13 three-and-outs. In four of the last series games played between these two, 30 points or less were scored four times. The first one to 17 wins and this one is going under. |
09-23-17 | UTEP v. New Mexico State -20 | 14-41 | Win | 100 | 51 h 48 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saturday Late Bail-Out winner is on New Mexico State Doug Martin has done a real nice job with the Aggies this year bringing in a ton of JUCO talent in an effort to save his job. It's translated to just one win but the Aggies are exciting and in every game including a 6-point loss at Arizona State. Most importantly to us is that NMSU is 3-0 ATS and has a team they can hammer tonight in UTEP. The Miners might very well be the worst team in the FBS and are bottom five of 130 in every significant capping matrix. Wouldn't lay 20 with a team that has won just 11 games over the last five years but in this spot, it is more than justified. |
09-23-17 | Twins -162 v. Tigers | 10-4 | Win | 100 | 14 h 6 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Saturday MLB Inner Circle is on the Minnesota Twins Love the Twins who keep scratching and clwing but are running out of time. Ervin Santana (15-8, 3.34) have been the Twinkie acr all year and has done his best work (9-3, 2.73) on the road. Santana is 9-5 LT vs. the Tigers with a 3.37 ERA in 21 starts and beat Boyd and Motown back in Augist by a 6-4 score. The Tigers are 4-17 in September and manager Brad Ausmus was told last night that he would not be retained. Tiggers just playing out the string. |

09-23-17 | Nevada v. Washington State OVER 67 | 7-45 | Loss | -115 | 49 h 58 m | Show
Jeff Allen's College Football Double Best Bet Super Total is on Nevada/Wash State Over Mike Leach has the Coogs humming early and the offense hasn't even gotten into gear yet. Luke Falk had six TD passes against Oregon State last week and is really just getting warmed up. He should be able to do just about anything he wants against a Nevada secondary that is allowing 284 ypg. through the air and opposing quarterbacks a 64% completion rate. Wazzou has USC on deck but thinking that Leach will keep his foot on the pedal in this fourth straight home game and final tightner before playing the teeth of Pac-12 schedule. |

09-23-17 | Rutgers +12.5 v. Nebraska | 17-27 | Win | 100 | 47 h 34 m | Show
JEFF ALLEN'S COLLEGE FOOTBALL UPSET SHOCKER OF THE YEAR is on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights |

09-23-17 | Wake Forest -5 v. Appalachian State | 20-19 | Loss | -110 | 46 h 21 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Lock Parlay winner is on Wake Forest The Deacs have been the surprise of the SEC and are for real. Love teams that take care of business against the teams they are supposed to beat and especially love teams that take care of their business on the road where the Deacs are on a 9-1 L10 ATS run. App State could be down this year as they were beaten in every way but on the scoreboard by Texas State in their most recent. Wake has Florida State and Clemson on deck so this game will be a priority. |
09-23-17 | Alabama -18.5 v. Vanderbilt | 59-0 | Win | 100 | 46 h 20 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Lock Parlay winner is on Alabama Vandy is getting a lot of love with its 3-0 start and a defense that has allowed just 13 points. The win over Kansas State was nice but the Wildcats are not Alabama who is off scrimmages vs. Fresno State and Colorado State. If the Commodores had lost its game with K State this number would likely be a full touchdown more so willing to lay the wood with the Tide in what figures to be a good old-fashioned SEC slobber knocker. Bama 34-10. |
09-22-17 | Utah -3.5 v. Arizona | 30-24 | Win | 100 | 30 h 31 m | Show
Jeff Allen Friday Night Pac-12 Super Lock is on the Utah Running Utes Utah plays the same stone wall defense, runs the ball with power run game, this year can throw it around with QB Tyler Huntley who last week became the first Ute signal caller to throw for 300 yards in B2B games since 2008. Arizona and Rich Rod are delaying the inevitable as he won't be back next year. Crush shot win over UTEP was nice but the Miners are basically a bad FCS team. Arizona just 17-35 ATS at home L52 with Rich Rod. Utah 34-13. |
09-22-17 | Cubs -114 v. Brewers | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 11 h 54 m | Show
Jeff Allens TGIF MLB Special is on the Chicago Cubs Both teams pulled out all the stops last night as the Cubs got that all important first game series win. Tonight, John Lackey toes the bump. He's a veteran who has been through a pennant run many times before and he's saved his best starts for last as he's posted a 1.93 ERA over his L3 starts and owns a 3.39 LT ERA in 14 starts against the Brew Crew. Brandon Woodruff has been a spot starter that's been either very good or very bad. He's never faced the Cubs but prefer the battle-tested World Series Champions. |
09-21-17 | Rams v. 49ers UNDER 39.5 | 41-39 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 32 m | Show
JEFF ALLEN'S RAMS/49ers THURSDAY NFL LOCK TOTAL is on the Rams/49ers Under The 49ers understandably had difficulty moving the ball against the Seahawks and Panthers but just four FGs in 23 total drives is below and beyond the call of duty. The 49er defense did play well, keeping San Fran in both games. Can't put much stock in either of the Ram games this year but know that the 49ers will look to run the ball against a team that gave up 229 on the ground to the Redskins. The Under is 16-7-1 the last three years in L.A. road games and that looks to be the way to go here. |
09-21-17 | Cubs -128 v. Brewers | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 23 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Cubs/Brewers Thursday Double Best Bet is on the Cubs The Cubs can pretty much ice the NL Central by winning this series. Both teams on fire with Chicago 7-0 L7 and the Bre Crew 6-1, both teams are terrorizing opposing pitching. The key here is Jake Arrieta who is 8-4 with a 2.79 ERA againainst Milwaukee LT with two of those wins coming this year. Zach Davies number skewed by a bad outing vs. Miami in last but not the best of spots for the Brewers who are just 17-36 as a home dog at this price over the last three years. Round One to the Cubs. |
09-21-17 | Temple v. South Florida -19.5 | 7-43 | Win | 100 | 9 h 14 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Thursday College Blue Chip release is on South Florida South Florida appeared to be more interested in last week in their blowout of Illinois and will be especially interested her vs. a team that spanked them last year in Philly. Temple was the AAC champ last year but the coaching staff flew the coup and the roster was hit hard by graduation. The 2-1 Owls allowed 400+ yards on the ground top the only real team that they've played (Notre Dame) and tonight they face a ground attack that had three different 100-yard rushers against a better Illini defense. The Bulls can run the regular season table and it starts with a win here tonight. South Florida 54-17. |
09-20-17 | Indians -108 v. Angels | 6-5 | Win | 100 | 13 h 40 m | Show
Jeff Allen's Wednesday MLB Road Warrior is on the Cleveland Indians The Tribe is a winner of 25 out of 25 and last night's win over the Halos pretty much but Angel's playoff aspirations to bed. No urgency for the Indians to win at this point but it is important to get the regulars some rest and set his pitching through the playoffs. Ricky Nolasco will eat up innings for you but not much else as his 6-14, 4.84 ERA will attest. Tough to play against a team that is even money and 21 games to the good on the road. |
09-19-17 | Twins v. Yankees UNDER 8.5 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 11 h 5 m | Show
Jeff Allen's American League Total of the Week is on the Twins/Yanks Under This matchup could be a preview of the AL wildcard with the Yanks a lock and the Twinkies two games up on the Angels for the final spot with 12/13 games to play. This series was played last night like a playoff series with the Bombers taking down a 2-1 win in the series opener. Jose Berrios (12-7, 3.84) and C.C. Sabathia go at it tonight and both have been sharp with their number each skewed by a toughing outing two back. Berrios beat the Bombers 6-1 in July, the only time he's faced them. Sabathia has not faced the Twins this year but is 20-9 with a 3.15 ERA in 39 LT starts vs. Minn. This figures to be another game where runs will be tough to come by making the Under the play. |
