07-08-16 | Rays v. Red Sox -106 | 5-6 | Win | 100 | 17 h 35 m | Show
Tampa Bay still stuck in last place in the AL East. The Rays recent 2-15 streak hasn't helped either. The Rays hitting has been terrible, ranking 25th or worse in three of the big four batting categories. The pitching hasn't been much better, with a 4.58 ERA (24th) and a 1.36 WHIP (17th). Chris Archer will start for the Rays, with his 4-11 mark and 4.50 ERA. Archer is coming off his best start, allowing no runs over 5.2 innings vs Detroit. However, the Rays couldn't capitalize, losing 5-1. Boston is in third place, just three back of the Orioles. The Sox are the best hitting team in baseball, leading the MLB in Runs, BAA, On Base% and Slugging. Sean O'Sullivan makes just his fifth start of the season. While the 28-year-old is 2-0, he has a high 6.61 ERA. O'Sullivan had a nearly two month layoff before making his start on July 3rd. And it was an encouraging one, allowing just two runs over five innings. The Red Sox starter might be a question here, but the Rays just can't hit and can't win. The All Star break can't come soon enough for Tampa. Take Boston. |

7/05 10:10 PM MLB (979) BALTIMORE ORIOLES VS (980) LOS ANGELES DODGERS Take: (980) MLB High Roller Platinum Club: LA Dodgers. Baltimore has a bad road record and is 3,000 miles from home. Orioles righty Chris Tillman (10-2, 3.71 ERA) suffered the loss at Seattle on Thursday, when he allowed four runs on six hits and three walks in 4 2/3 innings. The Orioles are 6-17 in their last 23 road games vs. a team with a home winning percentage of greater than .600. The Dodgers are 37-14 at home vs. a team with a losing road record. Dodgers righty Kenta Maeda (7-5, 2.82) has allowed fewer than two earned runs in five of his last seven starts, including a victory at Milwaukee on Thursday in which he gave up one run and three hits over six innings. And the Dodgers are 94-46 in their last 140 home games. Play the L.A. Dodgers. |

06-28-16 | Astros -118 v. Angels | 7-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 5 m | Show
The Astros have finally been playing like the playoff team they were last season. Houston has won eight of their last 10 games and 10 of 12. They took the opener from the Angels last night, 4-2. Still, they trail the best team in baseball right now, Texas, by 10 games. Scott Feldman gets the start tonight for the Astros. The 33-year old has been in 20 games this year, but started only four. Feldman is 4-3 with a 3.07 ERA and 1.36 WHIP. Meanwhile, the Angels have fallen to last place in the AL West, 18 games back of the Rangers. They have now lost seven of their last eight games. Tim Lincecum continues his comeback season. The 32-year old former Cy Young winner makes his third start tonight. His first was very good, allowing just one run over six innings. His second was not so good, allowing four runs over three innings.The way the Angels are playing, I don't give them much chance tonight with a rusty Lincecum on the hill. I'm taking the Astros tonight. |
|||||||
06-28-16 | Dodgers -135 v. Brewers | 6-5 | Win | 100 | 7 h 9 m | Show
Dodgers need a nice run to close their seven-game gap with the Giants. They turn to their 19-year old rookie phenom tonight, Julio Urias. Urias is yet to pick up his first MLB win in his six starts. His first two starts were rocky, allowing eight runs over 7.2 innings. However, since then he's been very good, allowing just five earned runs over 24.1 innings. He also has just four total walks during that time vs his 28 KO's. The Brewers have climbed out of last place, but still trail Chicago by 15. The Brewers took two of three games from the Nationals last weekend. Chase Anderson will start tonight. Anderson is 4-7 with a 5.13 ERA. Anderson has been hit hard of late, allowing 11 runs over his last 7.1 innings, including three home runs and five walks. Dodgers bats haven't been very good this year, but this is the kind of pitcher they should feast on. Take LA tonight. |
|||||||
06-28-16 | Rangers -104 v. Yankees | 7-1 | Win | 100 | 6 h 55 m | Show
The Texas Rangers are running away with the AL West, now leading second place Houston by 10 games. The Rangers now have the most wins in baseball (50) and have won three straight and 14 of their last 17. Monday's contest was crazy, as the Yankees led 6-5 in the top of the 9th when the rains came. Instead of calling the game at that point, the umpire delayed the game for 3 hours 35 minutes. When they resumed at 2:15 am, the Rangers scored four times in the top of the 9th to beat the Yankees. The Yankees were 160-0 when leading after eight innings. Now they are 160-1. The Rangers ace, Cole Hamels, goes tonight. Hamels is 8-1 with a 2.79 ERA and 1.22 WHIP. The Yankees will counter with veteran CC Sabathia. Sabathia is 5-4 with a 2.71 ERA. Sabathia had been pitching well until his last start, where he was roughed-up for five runs over 4.1 innings. Sabathia has been battling a twisted right ankle. I'm taking the Rangers here tonight. The Yankees have to be deflated after last night and the Rangers are just too hot. Take Texas. |

06-25-16 | Mets v. Braves +136 | 1-0 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 46 m | Show
Atlanta is playing its best baseball of the season, 7-2 run. Julio Teheran (2.66 ERA) dazzled the Mets in a one-hit shutout last Sunday, walking no one, and is 3-4 with a 1.83 ERA in his past 10 outings. The Mets are 3-7 in their last 10 games vs. a right-handed starter. And the Mets are 1-4 in the last 5 meetings. Play Atlanta. |
|||||||
06-25-16 | Tampa Bay Rays - Game #2 v. Baltimore Orioles - Game #2 -151 | 6-8 | Win | 100 | 8 h 25 m | Show
The Rays are 17-36 in their last 53 vs. a team with a winning record. The Orioles rallied from a three-run deficit Friday with a two-run single by Chris Davis and solo homers from Adam Jones and Manny Machado to record a 6-3 triumph. Orioles righty Chris Tillman (10-1, 3.11 ERA) has not lost since April 14, a span of 12 contests, also permitting two or fewer runs in 10 of 15 outings. And the Orioles are 41-18 in Tillman's last 59 home starts. Play Baltimore. |
|||||||
06-25-16 | Nationals v. Brewers +123 | 5-6 | Win | 123 | 5 h 30 m | Show
Washington has allowed at least four runs in all but one game during its 2-6 trek. Nationals lefty Gio González (3-6, 4.25 ERA) is in a slump over a dismal six-start stretch in which he is 0-5. Brewers righty Matt Garza (0-0, 0.90 ERA) amped up his game last time out at the Los Angeles Dodgers. He scattered five hits over six scoreless innings. The Brewers are 6-2 in their last 8 home games, as well as 6-2 against lefty starters. Play Milwaukee. |

Orioles RH Chris Tillman (9-1, 2.87 ERA) has not lost since April 14 and allowed one run while striking out 16 in a total of 14 1/3 innings over his last two starts. Play Baltimore. |

06-13-16 | Tigers -102 v. White Sox | 9-10 | Loss | -102 | 10 h 37 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox have really dropped in the division standings. It wasn't long ago they sat atop the division. Now, the Sox are in fourth place following a 3-7 run. In addition, they have are just 7-20 in thier last 27 games. Chicago's pitching has been horrible, as the staff ranks 21st or worse in baseball in all major categories. The White Sox hoped the addition of today's starter, James Shields, would bolster their starters. However, in his first start, Shields was shelled for seven runs over just two innings by the Nationals. Shields is 2-8 with a 5.06 ERA. Meanwhile, Detroit has moved up in the division standings, winning two straight and seven of 10. Matt Boyd will make only his fourth start of the season today. Boyd is 0-1 with a 3.38 ERA. Boyd gave the club 5.1 excellent innings last time out, allowing just one run and three hits to a good hitting Toronto club. The Tigers have won four straight vs the White Sox. I like the direction Detroit is headed. Shields has shown nothing but a rising ERA. I'm taking the visitors here today. Play Detroit. |

06-12-16 | Mets -132 v. Brewers | 3-5 | Loss | -132 | 4 h 29 m | Show
The NY Mets have great pitching, 2nd in baseball in ERA (3.12) and fourth in WHIP (1.21). Today's starter, Steven Matz has been ace material for the Mets. Matz is 7-2 on the season with a 2.39 ERA and 1.11 WHIP. The 25-year old has had nine quality starts in a row where he's allowed two runs or fewer. In fact, he's allowed no runs in four of those starts. The Brewers still trying to get back to the .500 mark with their 29-33 record. They beat the Mets on Saturday, 7-4. Today's starter is Zach Davies. Daies is 4-3 with a 4.29 ERA and 1.24 WHIP. Despite losing on Saturday, the Mets are still 6-1 their last eight against the Brewers. Runs will come tough in this contest, but I like Matz a lot here and the Mets to rebound. Take New York. |

06-11-16 | Astros v. Rays -126 | 4-3 | Loss | -126 | 13 h 43 m | Show
The Houston Astros are trying to climb back in the AL West race, but at 29-34 and nine games back of the Rangers - they better hurry. The Astros have lost two straight games, including Friday's loss to the Rays, 4-3. The loss was the club's fourth in their last five games. Mike Fiers will start today. Fiers is one of the starters who has not pitched like he has in recent seasons. Fiers is just 3-3 this season with a 5.00 ERA and 1.35 WHIP. Fiers has been very inconsistent, giving up four runs over 5.1 innings in his last start and then just one run over six innings in the previous game vs Arizona. The problem with Fiers is his lack of velocity. If he isn't on his game, he's going to get hit hard. His BAA of .290 is way too high. In addition, the Astros are 0-5 in Fiers last five road starts. Tampa Bay has also struggled to stay around the .500 mark this season. The Rays have won two straight games and six of the last seven. One-time ace Chris Archer will toe the rubber today with his 4-7 mark and 4.73 ERA. Archer is looking to build on a quality start at Arizona last time out where he allowed just three runs over six innings and struck out 12! Archer has had success vs the Astros, winning four of his last five starts. The Rays have also owned this Astros team, winning 20 of the last 26 meetings. I like Tampa Bay here as my Big Platinum play for Saturday. |
|||||||
06-11-16 | Phillies +149 v. Nationals | 0-8 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 38 m | Show
The Washington Nationals are trying to hold off the New York Mets in the NL East race. The Nats beat the Phillies on Friday after falling behind 4-0 early. The win was the club's seventh in their last 10 games. Philadelphia has been very competitive this season. They are 29-32 on the season, but just recently fell below the .500 mark. The Phillies pitching has been what's keeping them in games. The staff is rated in the top 11 in MLB in ERA (3.91), Quality Starts (7th), WHIP (1.25) and BAA (8th). Aaron Nola has been a very pleasant surprise for the Phillies. Nola is 5-4 with a stellar 2.65 ERA and excellent 0.99 WHIP. Nola has had nine straight quality starts and has not allowed more than two runs in any of his last five starts and eight of the last nine. Washington will start Tanner Roark. Roark is 4-4 with a 3.21 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. Roark got roughed-up his last start, allowing five runs over three innings to the light hitting Reds. The Phillies are a good sized dog here early on Saturday and I get a pitcher (Nola) who has just been on target. I'll take the value with the Phillies and Nola here. |

Oakland is a long way from home and the Athletics go with struggling young Sean Manaea (2-3, 6.16 ERA). He lasted only 2 2/3 innings in his third career start at Boston on May 10 and was shelled for eight runs and 10 hits. The Athletics are 5-16 in their last 21 road games. Milwaukee starter Zack Davies has been solid at home with a 2-2 record and 3.41 ERA in his six starts. The Brewers are 8-3 in their last 11 vs. a team with a losing record. Play Milwaukee. |
|||||||
06-08-16 | Royals v. Orioles -144 | 0-4 | Win | 100 | 12 h 56 m | Show
Lots of excitement on the diamond between these clubs on Tuesday, and not the baseball type. Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura hit Orioles' Manny Machado with a 99 mph fastball that caused a bench clearing brawl. You can be certain both players will see suspensions for the altercation. However, this might have lit a fire under the Orioles. The next batter after play resumed was Mark Trumbo, who promptly hit a 3-1 pitch from Chien-Ming Wang out of the park. Chris Davis, the very next hitter, sent another out of the park. This propelled the O's to a 9-1 blowout win. Baltimore has now won three straight and seven of 10 and sits in first place in the AL East. Meanwhile, the loss of Ventura did little to help the Royals cause. Ventura had been the club's most consistent starter. His ejection led to the clubs sixth straight loss and dropped them 2.5 back of the Indians in the AL Central. The O's also get their best pitcher on the hill today in Christ Tillman. Tillman is 7-1 with a 3.33 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. Edison Volquez will start for the Royals with a 5-5 record and 4.03 ERA. Volquez got shelled last time out, allowing five runs over 6.1 innings and walking four. The Orioles are hot and the Royals are not. I like the pitching matchup for Baltimore and even if Machado doesn't play, I'm laying the price here with the home club. Play Baltimore. |

 The NY Yankees are struggling to get back to .500 right now and not fall any further back in the AL East. The Yankees trail the Red Sox by 6.5 games. The Yankees can take the series from the Orioles with a win today. New York beat Baltimore on Saturday, 8-6. Veteran southpaw CC Sabathia is 3-4 for the Yanks with a very good 2.85 ERA and 1.20 WHIP. Sabathia's record doesn't reflect how well he's actually pitched this season. Sabathia has only allowed three earned runs over his last four starts (26 innings), but is just 2-2 to show for it. The Orioles are having a fine season, off to a 31-23 record and just one game back of the Red Sox. The O's will start Kevin Gausman, who is 0-3 with a 3.78 ERA and 1.13 WHIP. Gausman has eight starts but no wins. The 25-year old has been hit hard his last two starts, allowing nine runs over 11 innings with six home runs. With Sabathia looking more like his old self these days I'm going to take the Yankees as a dog here on Sunday. |

Reason: AL Game of the Week: |

06-05-16 | White Sox v. Tigers -125 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 4 h 30 m | Show
Both of these clubs right around the .500 mark this season, however that still good enough to keep both in the AL Central race. The White Sox are just two back of the Indians and the Tigers just 3.5 back. The Sox were in 1st place, but a recent 2-9 slide has them in third place now. The Sox will try and salvage the rubber game of their series with the Tigers. Detroit has taken the first two games of this series, scoring 17 runs in the process. Jose Quintana will start for Chicago with a 5-5 record and 2.13 ERA. The Tigers have lost the last four starts by Quintana. However, don't blame the pitcher as he received just five total runs of support. The Tigers have won three of their last four. Justin Verlander will look to improve on his 4-5 record today. Verlander has a 4.11 ERA and a nifty 1.09 WHIP. Verlander has made five quality starts in a row and has seen his ERA drop from 5.40 to 4.11. With Verlander looking much like his old self of late and the Sox in a terrible slump, I'm taking Detroit here today. |

06-05-16 | Mets v. Marlins -155 | Top | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 4 h 7 m | Show |
The Mets haven't done well in Harvey's recent starts, evidenced by their 4-9 mark his last 13. That number on the road isn't any better at 2-5. Meanwhile, the Marlins have their ace on the hill today in Fernandez. The Marlins are 26-2 in Fernandez's last 28 home starts. That is a phenomenal number. Fernandez has also done very well against the Mets, winning his last four starts vs New York. Can't say the same for Harvey, as the Mets are just 2-5 in his last seven starts vs Miami. The Mets may also be without their big hitter today in CFB Yoenis Cespedes who is questionable after missing Saturday's contest. Obviously we would like to see Cespedes sit this one out, but either way, we'll lay the price here at home with a great home pitcher. Take Miami. |

06-04-16 | Giants -116 v. Cardinals | 4-7 | Loss | -116 | 10 h 21 m | Show
Reason: It looks to be a one-horse race right now in the NL West, with the San Francisco Giants off to a 5.5 game lead over the Dodgers and the rest of the pack 9.5 or more back. The Giants have won two straight games and seven of their last 10. The Giants pitching staff has been really good, especially since they added Johnny Cueto this season. The Giants have allowed just one run over their last three wins and that was last night in their win against St Louis, 5-1. Cueto picked up his ninth win of the season in that game. The Giants just reload today with Jeff Samardzija. The 31-year old veteran is having an excellent season for the Giants with a 7-3 record and 2.84 ERA. Samardzija did lose last time out at Atlanta. However, Samardzija has been solid, going at least six innings in nine of his 11 starts this season. Samardzija looks like the pitcher he was a couple of seasons ago, as his groundball rate is back to what it was (47%) and his strikeout ratio is also up this year (7.8k per 9 innings). St Louis is dropping further and further back in the AL Central, now 11 games back of the Cubs. The Cards have lost two straight and six of their last 10. The club is still one of the better hitting teams in the NL, but their pitching has dropped this season. Point in case is today's starter, Michael Wacha. Wacha is just 2-6 this season with a 4.99 ERA and 1.50 WHIP. The Cardinals have lost six of his last seven starts. In addition, Wacha has seen his ERA go from 2.65 at the beginning of May to 4.99 today. The Giants are playing very well right now and with the way the pitching is throwing they look to be strong again today. Play San Francisco. |
|||||||
06-04-16 | A's v. Astros -120 | 5-6 | Win | 100 | 7 h 15 m | Show
The Houston Astros have climbed their way out of last place in the AL West and now are tied for third, seven games back of the Rangers. The Astros have won eight of their last 10 games, including Friday's opening game over the A's, 12-2. The win was the club's six in their last seven games. The Astros look to keep their winning ways as Collin McHugh toes the rubber today. McHugh is 5-4 with a 4.82 ERA. Houston has won McHugh's last two starts with the 28-year old going the distance his last time out at Arizona in a a 8-3 win. McHugh had an excellent May, going 3-1 and seeing his ERA drop from 6.59 to 4.82. The A's have now taken over last place in the AL West. Oakland has a terrible pitching staff, ranked 26th in ERA (2.77), 25th in Whip (1.42) and 25th in opponent batting average (.270). The A's never had a shot in game one last night, falling behind 7-0 after the 1st inning. It doesn't look to get much better today with Kendall Graveman on the hill. Graveman is 2-6 with a 5.09 ERA and 1.58 WHIP. Graveman did snap a five-game losing streak last time out vs Minnesota going six innings and allowing two runs. The A's are 6-18 in Graveman's last 24 starts and 0-4 in his last four road starts. The Astros have won five of the last six meetings in Houston and I don't see that changing here today as the Astros are playing their best ball of the season. Play Houston. |

06-01-16 | Rays v. Royals -105 | 3-6 | Win | 100 | 11 h 37 m | Show
The Kansas City Royals are red-hot with the bats and look to extend their winning streak to six games. Tampa Bay has a losing road record and goes with up and down Chris Archer (3-6, 4.62 ERA). The Rays are 5-22 in their last 27 road games vs. a team with a winning record. The Royals are 39-16 in their last 55 home games vs. a right-handed starter and 22-8 in Danny Duffy's last 30 home starts. Play Kansas City. |

05-30-16 | Tigers -128 v. Angels | 1-5 | Loss | -128 | 19 h 33 m | Show
The bad news for the Tigers is that they are in fourth place in the AL Central. The good news is that they are just three games out of first place. The Tigers lost two of three in Oakland over the weekend. Justin Verlander is still trying to find that groove he once had. The 33-year-old is 4-4 with a 4.02 ERA and 1.15 WHIP. Verlander has had four quality starts in a row, including two straight wins where he's allowed three earned runs over 15.1 innings. The Angels have struggled this season, as they sit at 22-28 and seven back of Texas. The offense and the pitching are both middle of the road in rankings. Mike Trout is the one standout, leading the club in home runs (11), BA (.317) and RBIs (37). The Angels have lost four of their last five and allowed 33 runs over those five games. Jhoulys Chacin starts for the Halos. Chacin came over via trade with the Braves in early May. Chacin has been average in his three starts for LA, allowing nine runs over 17.1 innings. The line has come down on the Tigers from 1.40 to 1.28, which is much more to my liking. I'm taking the Tigers here today. |

05-30-16 | Dodgers v. Cubs -138 | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 15 h 33 m | Show
11 straight Platinum winners! Jim Feist puts big money on these plays and when you win 11 in a row, you know they are valuable. Today Jim looks at the Cubbies for his Platinum club selection. The Cubs are the best team in baseball right now at 34-14 and 6.5 game lead over the Pirates. They have won five straight games after Sunday's win over Philly, 7-2. The Cubs has been scoring runs in bunches, evidenced by the 38 runs scored over their five-game win streak. Jason Hammel has been one of the best starters for the Cubs with a 6-1 record and 2.17 ERA. Hammel had a rough outing against the Brewers on May 19, but bounced back very nicely with a win over the Cardinals in his last outing. In fact, Hammel has allowed over three runs just once in his nine starts. The Dodgers won two straight at the Mets, including Sunday's win behind Clayton Kershaw, 4-2. The Cubs will miss Kershaw in this series and face Alex Wood today. Wook is 1-3 with a 4.03 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. The Dodgers have lost four of Wood's last five starts. Cubbies just too tough right now and with Hammel on the hill I love this play. Take Chicago. |
|||||||
05-30-16 | Cardinals v. Brewers +112 | 6-0 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 37 m | Show
The Cardinals find themselves in a unfamiliar position, 9.5 games back of the Cubs for the NL Central lead. The Cards lost on Sunday to the Nationals, 10-2. Their bullpen has been very overworked of late and it showed on Sunday. The birds can sure use a long outing out of starter Carlos Martinez. Martinez is 4-5 with a 4.25 ERA. Unfortunately for the pen, Martinez hasn't gone past 5 innings in any of his last four starts. The Brewers have been playing better of late, winning six of the last 10 and five of the last six. The Brewers took two of three from the Reds, including Sunday, 5-4. Junior Guerra starts today for Milwaukee and is pitching very well. Guerra is 3-0 with a 3.30 ERA and 1.13 WHIP in five starts. In fact, the Brewers have won all five of Guerra's starts. We get the home club here as a small dog and with Guerra not losing yet for Milwaukee, this looks like a good home dog spot. Play the Brewers. |
|||||||
05-29-16 | Giants -150 v. Rockies | 8-3 | Win | 100 | 13 h 32 m | Show
This is the year the Giants are supposed to win the World Series. They won it in 2010, 2012, 2014 and now, maybe 2016? So far it's looking like a good trend, as the Giants are in 1st place in the NL West, 4.5 games ahead of the Dodgers. The Giants have won eight of their last 10 games, including Saturday's contest at Colorado, 10-5. SFO looks to take the rubber game here on Sunday with their top pitcher, Johnny Cueto. Cueto came over in the off season and hasn't dissapointed with a 7-1 record (3rd in MLB in wins), 2.38 ERA and 0.99 WHIP. Cueto has gone the distance in his last two starts, allowing just one earned run, two walks and 14 KO's. The Rockies will counter with Chris Rusin. The 29-year-old Michigan native has a 3.93 ERA in nine appearances this year. Cueto just too good to pass on in this spot, especially with a hot Giants team behind him. Play San Franciso. |
|||||||
05-29-16 | Tigers v. A's -150 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 12 h 26 m | Show
Detroit has clawed its way back to the .500 mark at 24-24. The Tigers pitching has not been good, ranking 21st or lower in the most categories. Detroit looks to take this rubber game after losing Saturday to the A's, 12-3. Mike Pelfrey still looking for his first win this year for the Tigers. Pelfrey is 0-4 with a 5.55 ERA and 1.81 WHIP in his nine starts. Pelfrey has the 2nd worst WHIP this season among qualified starters. Right now, Pelfrey looks to be the guy leaving the rotation once Shane Greene returns. The A's are looking to build on their win with one of their best pitchers starting today, Rich Hill. Hill is 7-3 with a 2.18 ERA and 1.11 WHIP. The A's have won four straight when Hill starts and six of the last seven. Hill has allowed just one earned run over his last 14 innings with just one walk. In addition, Hill has surrendered just two home runs in his 10 starts. Today we have a pitcher with great control, riding a nice four-game win streak against one of the worst control pitchers this season who soon could be out of the rotation. This one is easy, take the A's. |
|||||||
05-29-16 | Orioles -114 v. Indians | 6-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 32 m | Show
The AL East has been playing musical chairs with the division lead. Right now, Boston holds the top spot with a one-game lead over the Orioles. The O's and Indians have split the first two games of their four-game series with Baltimore taking game one and Cleveland taking Saturday's contest, 11-4. The O's send one of their top pitchers to the hill today in Chris Tillman. Tillman is 6-1 with a 2.61 ERA and 1.13 WHIP. Tillman has had seven quality starts in a row, allowing no runs twice, one run once and two runs three times. The Indians lead the AL Central, but KC and Chicago are just a half game back in a very competitive division. The Indians will send Mike Clevinger to the mound to start. Don't expect the 25-year old to be around long though, as he's last just 5.0 and 5.1 innings in his two starts. Clevinger is 0-1 with a 8.71 ERA and 1.55 WHIP. Big difference here today in starters with a relative unknown in Clevenger going up against arguably the best pitcher right now for the O's. That's what separates these teams today. Take the Orioles |
