06-26-21 | Braves v. Reds OVER 9 | 1-4 | Loss | -115 | 5 h 34 m | Show
The Atlanta Braves have dropped to third place in the NL East, now 5-games back of the NY Mets. The Cincinnati Reds are in third place in the NL Central, five-games back of the Milwaukee Brewers. The Braves start Ian Anderson today. Anderson is 5-3 in his 14 starts with a 3.33 ERA. Luis Castillo will toe the rubber for the Reds. Castillo having a poor season at 2-10 in his 15 starts and a 5.61 ERA. Both these teams should get their good share of runs today. I'll take the OVER. |
06-19-21 | Brewers v. Rockies UNDER 10.5 | 6-5 | Loss | -104 | 9 h 35 m | Show
The Milwaukee Brewers are just one game back of AL Central leading Chicago Cubs. They are this close despite losing five straight games. The Colorado Rockies have won five straight games, but still sit in 4th in the NL West 15.5-games back of the Giants. Adrian Houser starts today for the Brewers. Houser is only 4-5 but has a nice 3.77 ERA on the season. Houser has allowed two runs or fewer in six of his last seven starts. Austin Gomber toes the rubber for the Rockies today. Gomber is 6-5 on the season with a 3.54 ERA. He's been outstanding at home, going 3-1 with a 0.95 ERA. Expect a low scoring contest here tonight. Play UNDER. |
06-18-21 | White Sox v. Astros UNDER 8.5 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 19 h 52 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox lost to the Houston Astros on Thursday, 2-10. The loss knocked a game off the Sox AL Central lead over the Indians, now 3.5-games. Still, the Sox have won seven of their last 10 games. The Astros have won eight of their last 10 games and four straight following Thursday's win. The Astros still trail the Oakland A's by 2-games in the AL West. The White Sox start Carlos Rondon who is 6-2 in his 11 starts. Rondon has been excellent with a 1.89 ERA and 1.80 road ERA. Rondon has allowed just two runs over his last two starts (12 innings). The Astros counter with Luis Garcia. Garcia is 5-3 in his 11 starts with a 2.98 ERA. Garcia has not allowed more than three run in any of his 11 starts. Two excellent starters who should keep this a low scoring game. Play UNDER. |
06-15-21 | Red Sox v. Braves OVER 9 | 10-8 | Win | 100 | 7 h 43 m | Show
Interleague action here on Tuesday has the Boston Red Sox playing at the Atlanta Braves. The Red Sox are in 2nd in the AL East, three games back of the Rays. The Braves are 5.5 games back in the NL East, sitting in third place. They have had some offensive issues, posting a -2 run differential. The Braves snapped their four game losing streak in which they didn't score more than three runs in any of those losses. The Red Sox start Eduardo Rodriquez today. Rodriquez is 5-4 in his 12 starts but has a high 6.03 ERA and 1.452 WHIP. He's allowed 19 runs over his last four starts (18 2/3 innings). The Braves start Tucker Davidson today. Davidson has no record in his three starts with a 1.53 ERA. Still to few starts for Davidson to know if he's the real deal or not. I'm taking over today with Rodriquez on the hill for the Sox. Play OVER. |
06-13-21 | Cardinals v. Cubs UNDER 9.5 | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 7 h 5 m | Show
The Cubs have won four straight games. The Cardinals have dropped to five-games back of first place thanks to a 2-8 record over their last 10 games. The Cardinals will start Carlos Martinez today. Martinez is 3-6 in his 11 starts with a 6.21 ERA. He's been even worse on the road with a 1-4 record and 7.04 ERA. Martinez has allowed 15 runs over his last 4 2/3 innings of work. The Cubs will start Zach Davies today. Davies is 3-3 in his last 13 starts with a 4.45 ERA and a slightly better 3.52 ERA at home. Davies has allowed one or no runs in three of his last four starts. I like the UNDER here today, we just need the Cardinals starter to do a bit better then he has lately. Cubs should shut down this St Louis team today. Play UNDER. |
06-13-21 | White Sox v. Tigers UNDER 9 | 4-1 | Win | 100 | 1 h 7 m | Show
AL Central matchup here today has the Penthouse vs the Outhouse as the first place White Sox take on the last place Tigers. The Sox have opened up a 4.5-game lead over 2nd place Cleveland thanks to a 7-3 run. The Tigers have lost two straight and six of their last 10 as they have dropped to 14-games back in the Central. Carlos Rondon starts for the Sox and he's been excellent with a 5-2 record in his 10 starts with a 1.96 ERA. He's been just as good on the road with a 3-0 record and 1.93 ERA. The Tigers have nothing to lose now so they are starting Kyle Funkhouser. This is one of those bullpen games where a reliever gets the start today. Expect a lot of the Tigers relief core to make an appearance in this one as Funkhouser won't go more than three innings max. No doubt Rondon will shut down this Tigers team. Let's see if this relief game by the Tigers can do the same. Play the UNDER. |
06-12-21 | Rockies v. Reds UNDER 9 | 3-10 | Loss | -107 | 5 h 53 m | Show
The Rockies have the problem that they play in the very competitive NL West. It's basically a 3-game race in the West and the Rockies aren't one of them. Colorado is 15-games back of first place San Francisco. The Reds are in 4th place in the NL Central, but just 5-games back of first place. German Marquez starts for the Reds with a 4-5 record and 3.91 ERA. He's bee slightly better on the road with a 3.74 ERA. In fact, he's been very good of late, allowing just three total runs over his last four starts (26 innings). The Reds start Wade Miley. Miley is 5-4 in his 10 starts with a nice 2.96 ERA. He's also been very good of late, allowing just two total runs in his last three starts (15 2/3 innings). Looks like a low scoring affair with two hot starters. Play UNDER. |
06-10-21 | Rockies v. Marlins UNDER 7.5 | 4-11 | Loss | -114 | 8 h 0 m | Show
Colorado has split the first two games of their series with the Marlins, losing Tuesday 2-6 and then winning last night, 4-3. The Rockies have won six of their last 10 games. Miami has fallen lately, winning just twice in their last 10 games and now in last place in the NL East, 7 1/2 games back of the Mets. The Rockies will start Chi Chi Gonzalez tonight. Gonzalez is 1-2 with a 4.42 ERA. He's pitched well of late, allowing just two runs over his last 13 innings of work. Miami will start Trevor Rogers tonight. Rogers has been one of the best for the fish, posting a 6-3 record in his 12 starts with a 1.97 ERA and a 1.71 ERA at home. Rogers has not allowed more than two runs in any of his last six starts. Rogers will keep this game lower scoring and if Gonzalez can pitch like he has lately, this game will go UNDER. |
06-06-21 | Cubs v. Giants UNDER 8 | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 4 h 29 m | Show
The Giants have now won three straight and eight of their last 10 games to open up a 2-game lead in the NL West division over the Padres. The Cubs dropped into a tie for first in the AL Central with their loss to the Giants on Saturday. That makes three losses in a row for the Cubs. Kyle Hendricks starts today for the Cubs. Hendricks is 6-4 in his 11 starts with a 4.62 ERA. Hendricks has not allowed more than three runs in any of his last four starts. The Giants will send Johnny Cueto to the hill. Cueto is 4-1 in his eight starts with a 3.45 ERA. He's been a bit better at home with a 2.59 ERA in four starts, a 3-1 record and 0.904 WHIP. I like this game to go under today. |
06-06-21 | Twins v. Royals OVER 9.5 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -105 | 4 h 23 m | Show |
Minnesota took last night's contest from the Royals, 5-4. They still trail 1-2 and can even the series with a win here today. Game one they scored 11, game two 19 and yesterday nine runs. The Royals are still 5-games back in the AL Central while the Twins are still in last, 12-games back. Bailey Ober makes just his second start of the season for the Twins. His first was rocky, going just four innings vs the White Sox and allowing five hits and four runs. Brady Singer will toe the rubber for the Royals. Singer is 3-4 in 11 starts with a 5.06 ERA. He's allowed 10 earned runs over his last 8 1/3 innings of work. I like this one to go OVER today. |
06-03-21 | Tigers v. White Sox UNDER 8 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 19 h 13 m | Show
Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox begin this four-game set here on Thursday. The Tigers had Wednesday off while the White Sox saw their game at Cleveland postponed. The Sox have a 2.5 game lead in the AL Central over the Cleveland Indians. The White Sox have lost two straight games but have won seven of their last 10. The Sox also have the best run differential in baseball with a +79 mark. Detroit is in fourth place in the Central with a 23-32 record. They trail the White Sox by 10-games and are 5-5 in their last 10 overall. Casey Mize will start for the Tigers. Mize is 3-3 in his 10 starts with a 3.28 ERA. He's been even better on the road where his ERA drops to 2.61 and his WHIP to 0.974. Mize has allowed just one run in each of his last three starts and four of his last five. Lance Lynn was scheduled to start Wednesday and now goes tonight. Lynn has been excellent this year with a 6-1 record, 1.37 ERA and 0.930 WHIP. Lynn has allowed just three total runs over his last five starts (28 innings). Should be a low scoring game with these two starters on the hill today. Play UNDER. |
06-02-21 | Marlins v. Blue Jays UNDER 8.5 | 5-6 | Loss | -115 | 6 h 58 m | Show
Miami Marlins look to snap a 4-game losing skid here tonight against the Blue Jays. The Marlins are 5-games back of first place NY Mets. Strangely, the Marlins have the divisions best run differential at +6 runs. The Blue Jays are 5-5 over their last 10 games and sit in 4th in the AL East, 5.5-games back of the Rays. Miami sends Pablo Lopez to the hill. Lopez is 1-3 in his 11 starts but has a nifty 2.71 ERA on the season. Lopez has allowed just four total runs over his last 19 innings. The Jays will start Alek Manoah, who makes just his second start this year. Manoah went six strong innings in his first start, allowing no runs and just hits for the win over the Yankees. I like this game to be a tight, low scoring one. Play the UNDER. |
06-02-21 | Twins v. Orioles OVER 9.5 | 3-6 | Loss | -116 | 6 h 56 m | Show
Battle of last place teams here on Wednesday has the last place AL Central Twins taking on the last place AL East Orioles. The Orioles have lost nine of their last 10 games while the Twins have won six of their last 10 games. The Twins will start Randy Dobnak, who is 1-1 in his only two starts. Dobnak has a 4.50 ERA. Matt Harvey will toe the rubber for the O's. Harvey is 3-6 in his 11 starts with a 6.84 ERA and 1.643 WHIP. Harvey has allowed at least five runs in each of his last four starts while not lasting over 4 2/3 innings in any of those outings. Harvey is long gone from his glory days with the Mets. Should be plenty of runs in this game. Play OVER. |
06-02-21 | Mets v. Diamondbacks OVER 8 | 7-6 | Win | 100 | 3 h 30 m | Show
The NL East 1st place NY Mets blew a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the 9th and lost in extra innings last night to Arizona. The Mets are still 3.5-games in first place. Arizona got a rare win last night, only their 2nd in their last 10 games. They also have the worst run differential in the NL West with a -52 and not surprisingly they are 14.5-games back of division leading San Francsico. The Mets will start David Peterson today. Peterson is 1-4 in nine starts with a 4.91 ERA. The D'backs will start Madison Bumgarner who is 4-5 in his 11 starts with a 5.15 ERA. Neither starter all that good this year and with that I'll be taking the OVER here today. Play OVER. |
05-30-21 | Royals v. Twins OVER 9.5 | 6-3 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 58 m | Show
vThe Kansas City Royals and Minnesota Twins both are trying to climb back in into the AL Central division. The Royals are 6.5 games back of the White Sox and the Twins are 10 games back. The Twins have won seven of their last 10 games to inch back closer. The Royals will start Brad Keller here today. Keller is 4-4 in his 10 starts with a 5.72 ERA and 1.730 WHIP. Matt Shoemaker will toe the rubber for the Twins today. Shoemaker has a 2-5 record in his nine starts with a 5.48 ERA and 1.413 WHIP. Shoemaker has been slightly worse at home, posting a 6.25 ERA and 1.516 WHIP. I like these two AL Central Middle dwellers to get some runs here today. I'm taking the OVER. |
05-30-21 | Orioles v. White Sox OVER 8.5 | 1-3 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 20 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox have won three straight games and now sit atop of the AL Central by three games over the Indians. The Orioles, well they are in a free fall. The O's have lost 12 straight games and now are in last place in the AL East, 15.5 games back of first place. Not surprising, the O's will send Keegan Akin to the hill for his first start of the year. Akin was called up from Triple-A Norfolk on May 10th. Akin was 1-2 with a 4.56 ERA in August 2020, his first showing in the majors. The White Sox will counter with Lucas Giolito. Giolito is 4-4 in his 10 starts with a 4.04 ERA. He's been slightly better at home with a 3.19 ERA. Giolito has allowed one run or fewer in four of his last five starts. Giolito isn't as dominant as he has been in the past so he could give up some runs. However, I look for the Sox to get plenty of runs and this game go OVER. |
05-29-21 | Marlins v. Red Sox UNDER 7.5 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 5 h 52 m | Show
Miami has played well of late, despite losing their last two games at Boston. The Marlins are 6-4 over their last 10 games. Miami is in fourth in the NL East with a 24-27 record, just 3.5-games back of the Mets. The Red Sox will be fighting the rest of the way with the Rays and Yankees. The Sox are a half game back of the Rays. Miami starts Trevor Rogers today. Rogers has been great for the fish with a 6-2 record in his 10 starts and a 1.75 ERA. He has not allowed more than one run in any of his last four starts and six of the last seven. Nathan Eovaldi is 5-2 for the Sox after 10 starts with a 4.23 ERA and 1.175 WHIP. Two excellent starters here on Saturday. I'll take the UNDER. |
05-28-21 | Yankees v. Tigers UNDER 7 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 13 m | Show
The Yankees are 7-3 over their last 10 games, yet they have fallen from first place in the AL East mainly because the TB Rays are 9-1 over their last 10 games. The Yankees are now 2-games back in the East in a three-game dogfight with the Rays and Red Sox. Detroit, well they are having another poor season. The Tigers are just 19-31 and in last place in the AL Central. They are already 10.5-games back in the division. One bright spot for the Tigers is tonight's starter, Casey Mize. Mize is just 3-3 in his nine starts, but has a very respectable 3.42 ERA. In fact, Mize has allowed just five total runs over his last four starts (26 innings). Won't be easy though as they face Yankees Ace Gerrit Cole. Cole is 6-2 in his 10 starts with a 1.81 ERA and 0.804 WHIP. Cole had a bad start two games ago, allowing five runs at Texas over five innings. He bounced back with a seven inning, no run allowed effort to the White Sox. If you exclude that five run game, Cole has allowed two earned runs or fewer in all other nine starts. Don't expect Detroit to get many if any runs here tonight. Mize should keep it close and that's why I'll be on the UNDER tonight. |
05-24-21 | Rays v. Blue Jays OVER 10.5 | Top | 14-8 | Win | 100 | 11 h 30 m | Show |
AL East action early here on Monday has the Tampa Bay Rays taking on the Toronto Blue Jays. The Rays are red-hot, having won 10-straight games and have pulled into a tie in the East with the Red Sox for the top spot. The Blue Jays have lost five straight and dropped to fourth in the East, 4.5-games back of the Rays and Red Sox. The Rays have been a very good over team with a 27-20 O/U mark on the season. This game should be another high scoring affair. The Rays start Ryan Yarbrough who is 0-3 in five starts with a 6.28 ERA. He's even worse on the road with a 8.25 ERA. Yarbrough has just one of his five starts that he has seen fewer than five runs allowed and that was in his first start of the season. New isn't any better on the Jays side with 0-3 Ross Stripling toeing the rubber today. Stripling has a 7.20 ERA on the season and a 8.31 ERA at home. This one should see plenty of runs. Play the OVER. |
05-17-21 | Mets v. Braves UNDER 8 | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 18 h 33 m | Show
The NL East leading NY Mets travel to Atlanta to begin their series against the Braves. The Mets have lost three straight games after winning seven in a row. They are also in first place despite having a -10 run differential. The Braves are in 3rd in the East with a 19-21 record and have a -15 run differential. The Mets have been an excellent under team this year with a 12-19-2 O/U mark. The Mets average just 3.6 rpg while allowing 3.7 rpg. Taijuan Walker looks to start today for the Mets. Walker is 3-1 in his seven starts with a 2.20 ERA. Walker has allowed just one total run over his last 14 innings. The Braves will turn to Max Fried. Fried is 1-1 with a 6.55 ERA in his five starts. However, he has been very good of late, allowing two total runs over his last 11 innings. Even if these pitchers one or both are replaced here on Monday, I will take this game UNDER the total as the Mets are one of the better under teams. Play UNDER. |
05-16-21 | Cardinals v. Padres UNDER 7 | 3-5 | Loss | -120 | 17 h 23 m | Show
The Cardinals lost their second straight game after dropping Saturday's contest at San Diego. The Cards remain in first in the NL Central with a 3-game lead over 2nd place Milwaukee. The Padres closed with within a half game of first place San Francisco with their win. The Cardinals will start Kwang-Hyun Kim today. Kim is 1-0 in his five starts with the Cardinals winning all five of his outings. Kim has a 2.74 ERA and 1.261 Whip. Kim has allowed just one run in each of his last four outings. The Padres will counter withy Ryan Weathers. Weathers is 0-0 after three starts with a 0.00 ERA and 0.580 WHIP. Weathers only went one inning in his last start but has gone as long as 5 2/3 innings. Weathers has nine KO's against four walks. Both pitchers have been good and while Saturday's contest had a combined 16 runs, I look for far less than that here today. Play the UNDER. |
05-15-21 | Cardinals v. Padres UNDER 7 | 3-13 | Loss | -100 | 20 h 42 m | Show
The St Louis Cardinals remain atop the NL Central division despite losing at San Diego on Friday night. The Cardinals have won seven of their last 11 games and are 23-16 on the season. The San Diego Padres closed within one game of NL West leading San Francisco. The Padres start Chris Paddack tonight. Paddack is 1-3 on the season with a 3.42 ERA. He's been slightly better at home with a 3.00 ERA in two starts despite losing both games. Adam Wainwright will start for the Cardinals. Wainwright is 2-3 on the season with a 3.80 ERA. He's coming off a very good start where he allowed no runs and just three hits over 8 2/3 innings to the Rockies. Both pitchers are above average and I'll take the UNDER here today. Play UNDER. |
05-14-21 | Giants v. Pirates UNDER 7.5 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 57 m | Show
The surprising San Francisco Giants continue to lead the NL West by 2.5 games over the Dan Diego Padres. The Giants have won three straight and seven of their last 10 games. They will start Kevin Gausman today who is 3-0 after seven starts with a 1.97 ERA and 0.854 WHIP. Gausman has been even better on the road with a 2-0 mark and a 1.05 ERA. The Pittsburgh Pirates are in last place in the NL Central with a 15-22 record, 7.5 games back of the Cardinals. They have lost two straight and seven of their last 10. Rookie pitcher Miguel Yajure is now expected to start today for the Bucs. This will be his second major league start. His first start coming earlier this season where he went 4.1 innings and allowed four runs and four hits. Yajure is one of the top prospects in the Bucs system. I like this game to be low scoring today. Play UNDER. |
05-12-21 | Phillies v. Nationals UNDER 8.5 | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 6 h 35 m | Show
Philadelphia looks to build on their one-game win streak after taking Tuesday's game against the Nationals, 6-2. It was the team's sixth win in their last eight games. Philly will send Zach Wheeler to the hill today. Wheeler is 3-2 in his seven starts with a 2.83 ERA and 0.965 WHIP. Washington dropped to 13-18 after losing its third straight game on Tuesday. The Nationals are one of the better under teams too, going 10-20-1 O/U on the season. That's in big part to an anemic offense that averages just 3.6 rpg. Veteran Jon Lester will toe the rubber today. Lester is 0-1 in his two starts with a 2.70 ERA and 1.300 WHIP. I'm looking at a lower scoring game here today. Play UNDER. |
05-11-21 | Orioles v. Mets UNDER 6.5 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 23 m | Show
Interleague action here on Tuesday has the Baltimore Orioles at the NY Mets. The Orioles won on Monday and that improved them to 16-19 overall on the season. The Mets saw their win streak go to five games after Monday's win and now are 16-13. Both these teams have been very good under teams on the season. The O's are 11-23-1 O/U and the Mets are 10-17-2 O/U on the year. This is in part to offenses that score less than four runs a game but also to some excellent starting pitching. The O's will send John Means to the hill today. Means is 4-0 with a 1.37 ERA and 0.674. He's coming off a complete game win over the Mariners where he got a No-Hitter and had 12 walks. Means got the first No-hitter for the Orioles in over 30 years. The Mets Marcus Stroman will toe the rubber with his 2.12 ERA and 1.029 WHIP with a 3-3 record. Both these starters are excellent and for me I'm taking this game UNDER. |
05-10-21 | Red Sox v. Orioles OVER 9 | 1-4 | Loss | -102 | 7 h 4 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox have won four straight games and sit atop the East division of the AL with a 22-13 record. The Sox have scored more runs then any team in baseball with 187. Today they face Baltimore starter Jorge Lopez who is just 1-3 on the season with a 6.49 ERA. The Orioles are last in the East with a 15-19 record and have a -16 run differential this season. The Sox will start Martin Perez who is still looking for his first win after six starts. Perez has a 4.39 ERA and 1.464 WHIP, though he's done slightly worse at home with a 5.50 ERA and 1.666 WHIP. With the way Boston is hitting the ball and two poor starters, I'll take the OVER here today. Play OVER. |
05-08-21 | Nationals v. Yankees UNDER 8 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 4 h 58 m | Show
Interleague action here on Saturday has the Washington Nationals taking on the New York Yankees. The Yankees have struggled out of the gate and find themselves fourth in the AL East with a 16-16 record. Even though they have lost two straight, they are 7-3 in their last 10 games. The Washington Nationals have also struggled to a 13-15 record and are last in the AL East. Both teams have struggled offensively with the Nationals averaging just 3.7 runs and the Yankees at 4.1 runs. Max Scherzer starts today for the Nats. Scherzer is 2-2 after six starts with a 2.54 ERA and 0.846 WHIP. He's allowed one run or no runs in four of his six starts. The Yanks will counter with Corey Kluber. Kluber is 2-2 after six starts with a 3.03 ERA and 1.348 WHIP. Kluber has allowed just one run over his last 14 2/3 innings. Both excellent starters and struggling offenses is a equation for a good low scoring game. Play UNDER. |
05-05-21 | Pirates v. Padres UNDER 6.5 | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 28 m | Show
The San Diego Padres host the Pittsburgh Pirates here today for game three of their series. The Padres lost last night to the Bucs, 1-2 after taking the opener 2-0. The Padres have scored two runs or fewer in their last three games. Yu Darvish has seen his a resurgence since coming to the Padres. Darvish is 3-1 in his six starts with a nifty 2.13 ERA and 0.8995 WHIP. Darvish has allowed just one run in each of his last five starts. The Pirates improved to 13-16 after yesterday's win. They will start J.T. Brubaker here today. Brubaker is 2-2 in his five starts with a 2.63 ERA and 1.025 WHIP. Two very good starters here, especially a red-hot Darvish. Your play is on the UNDER. |
05-02-21 | Marlins v. Nationals UNDER 7 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 4 h 30 m | Show
The Miami Marlins look to snap a two-game losing streak to the Nationals here today. The Marlins have dropped to 11-15 on the season. They have a good shot today with Trevor Rogers on the hill. Rogers is 3-1 in his five starts with a 1.29 ERA and 1.000 WHIP. Rogers has not allowed a run over his last 10 innings of work. Washington looks to extend their three-game win streak. Even with the streak, the Nationals are still below .500 at 11-12. They will start Max Scherzer today. Scherzer is just 1-2 after five starts though he has a good 3.00 ERA and 0.933 WHIP. I don't like a side here, but I do like the UNDER. Play UNDER. |
05-01-21 | Cubs v. Reds OVER 9 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -104 | 5 h 22 m | Show |
The Cubs lost their opening game of this series to the Reds on Friday, 6-8. It was the team's third over in a row. The Cubs now allow 4.9 runs per game. Won't get any easier for them today as they start a struggling Zach Davies. Davies is 1-2 in his five starts with a 9.47 ERA and 2.209 WHIP. He's coming off a start where he allowed six hits and five runs over 3 2/3 innings to the Braves. The Cincinnati Reds have plenty of hitting, as they lead the majors in home runs and average 5.4 runs per game. They are the best over team in baseball with a 18-6-1 O/U record. They also will send a struggling pitcher to the hill today in the form of Luis Castillo. Castillo is 1-2 in his five starts with a 6.29 ERA and 1.6-3 WHIP. Neither pitcher is all that good and Cincinnati has plenty of offense. Take OVER. |
04-27-21 | Nationals v. Blue Jays UNDER 8.5 | 5-9 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 13 m | Show
Both these clubs trying to get back to the .500 mark after a slumping start to their respective seasons. The Washington Nationals are 8-11 on the season after their loss on Monday. They also have a 6-12-1 Over/Under record. The Nats will start Max Scherzer here today. Scherzer is 1-1 after four starts with a nifty 1.80 ERA and 0.720 WHIP. Scherzer has not allowed a run over his last 13 innings with 19 KO's and three walks. The Blue Jays are 10-11 after their win on Monday. The Jays are also 6-15-0 Over/Under on their season. The Jays will start Trent Thornton here today. Thornton has just one start this season and that was two innings where he allowed two hits and not runs. Both teams are good under plays and that's what I'm going with here today. Play UNDER. |
04-26-21 | Rockies v. Giants UNDER 7.5 | 0-12 | Loss | -114 | 11 h 28 m | Show
Colorado and San Francisco both come into this game having won their respective games on Sunday. The Rockies improved to 8-13 while the Giants are a surprising 14-8 on the season. The Rockies will start Austin Gomber who has four starts this year. Gomber has a nice 3.38 ERA and has allowed three runs or fewer in each of his starts. The Giants start Anthony Desclafani. Desclafani is 1-0 after four starts with a 2.14 ERA and he has allowed one |
04-26-21 | Marlins v. Brewers UNDER 6.5 | 8-0 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 23 m | Show
Miami Marlins look to get back to winning tonight after losing their Sunday game at San Francisco, 3-4. The Marlins are 9-12 on the season and 8-11-2 over/under. They will face the Milwaukee Brewers today who have won two straight games to improve to 13-8 on the season and also are 7-13-1 Over/Under. Trevor Rogers toes the rubber today for the fish. Rogers has four starts and has yet to allow more than two runs in any game. He has a nifty 1.64 ERA and 1.000 WHIP. Milwaukee counters with Corbin Burnes. Burnes is 2-1 after four starts with a 0.37 ERA and 0.329 WHIP. Barns has gone at least six innings in each of his four starts and has allowed just one run and that came in his first start. Since then he's allowed No Runs over his last 18 innings with 29 walks and no walks. Burnes looks like an early Cy Young candidate and today I'm playing the UNDER. |
04-23-21 | Padres v. Dodgers UNDER 7 | 6-1 | Push | 0 | 21 h 51 m | Show
This series looks to be a good under series with these starting pitchers and very good pens. I had last night's game under and it got there even with the low 7.5 point total. Tonight I'm looking under again. The Dodgers are 6-15 O/U on the season while the Padres are 6-13 O/U. Two very good starters today as Yu Darvish starts for the Padres. Darvish has four starts and is 1-1 with a 2.55 ERA. He allowed four earned run in his opening game and since then only three total runs allowed over 20 innings of work. The Dodgers start veteran Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw is 3-1 after four starts with a nice 2.19 ERA and 0.973 WHIP. He's has 24 KO's and just three walks this year. In addition, he has not allowed an earned run over his last 12 innings. Look for another tight, low scoring game here tonight. Play UNDER. |
04-22-21 | Padres v. Dodgers UNDER 8 | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 12 h 28 m | Show
The Padres hope their trip to LA turns out a bit better then their homestand against the Dodgers last week in which they won just a single game. Both these teams have been excellent under plays with the Padres having a 6-14 O/U record and the Dodgers at 6-12 O/U. This is in big part to excellent pitching staffs. The Pads start Ryan Weathers today. Weathers has just one start and he went 3 2/3 innings against the Dodgers with one hit and no runs. The Dodgers start Walker Buehler who has three starts with a 2.00 ERA and 1.000 WHIP. Both pitchers should hold well here today and turn over the ball to very good pens. Play the UNDER. |
04-22-21 | Marlins v. Giants UNDER 8.5 | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 12 h 3 m | Show
Miami Marlins look to get back to the .500 mark here today as they play at San Francisco. The Marlins are 8-9 on the season and have a 7-9-1 O/U mark. The Giants are 11-7 after losing their last game. The Giants allow just 3.3 rpg while averaging just 3.7 rpg. No wonder they have a 6-12 O/U mark on the season. Daniel Castano starts for the fish with a 0-0 record after just one start. He started against these Giants last week and went five innings allowing three hits and one run. Aaron Sanchez will toe the rubber today for the Giants. Sanchez is 0-1 after three starts but has a nifty 2.45 ERA. Both pitchers are decent and the Giants like low scoring games. Play UNDER. |
04-21-21 | Giants v. Phillies UNDER 8.5 | 5-6 | Loss | -120 | 13 h 20 m | Show
The Giants beat the Phillies on Tuesday to improve to 11-6 on the season. The Giants have also been a great under team this year with 12 of their 17 games going UNDER. That is in big part to an excellent pitching staff that has allowed just 2.9 runs per game. Anthony Desclafani has three starts for the Giants with a nifty 1.06 ERA and 1.059 WHIP. He's allowed just two earned runs over his last 17 innings. The Phillies dropped to 8-9 with their loss on Tuesday. The Phils send Zach Eflin to the hill today. Eflin has three starts and is 1-0 with a 3.15 ERA and 0.950 WHIP. I like this game to go under here early on Wednesday. Take UNDER.  |
04-19-21 | Dodgers v. Mariners OVER 8 | 3-4 | Loss | -116 | 11 h 19 m | Show
Despite losing on Sunday to the Padres, the Dodgers still have the best record in baseball at 13-3. Thanks in large part to their +38 run differential. The Dodgers have scored 90 runs in their 16 games, second only to the Cincinnati Reds. The Seattle Mariners have been a surprise thus far, as they lead the AL West with a 10-6 record. The M's have won seven of their last 10 games. All this despite giving up more runs then they have scored. Dustin May starts for the Dodgers today. He's 2-0 in his two starts with a 1.74 ERA. The M's will start Justus Sheffield who is 0-1 after his two starts. Sheffield has a 4.91 ERA. Might get ugly against this great hitting Dodgers team today for Sheffield. I'm going to play OVER. |
04-18-21 | Astros v. Mariners OVER 9 | 2-7 | Push | 0 | 5 h 59 m | Show
Houston got back to the .500 mark at 7-7 after their win over Seattle on Saturday. They are 9-5 O/U thanks to an offense that averages 5.0 rpg. Jake Odorizzi hasn't pitched well for the Astros with a 0-1 record and 13.51 ERA with 2.102 WHIP. Seattle is 9-6 despite allowing more runs per game (4.7) then they score (4.2). Nick Margevicius starts today with a 0-0 record after one start. He went just 3 innings against the Orioles, allowing six hits and six runs. I'm taking the OVER between these teams today. Play OVER. |
04-18-21 | Diamondbacks v. Nationals OVER 8.5 | 5-2 | Loss | -120 | 2 h 54 m | Show
Two teams struggling out of the Game are the 5-10 Arizona Diamondbacks and the 5-7 Washington Nationals. The Diamondbacks have lost the first two games of this series. They allow a whopping 5.4 runs per game this year. The Nationals are scoring 3.7 RPG while allowing 4.7 RPG. Madison Bumgarner struggling for the D'backs after three starts. He has a 11.19 ERA and 2.195 WHIP and has allowed at least five runs in each start. Stephen Strasburg also struggling after two starts with a 6.30 ERA and 1.60 WHIP. He allowed seven earned runs in his last start at St Louis. Two poor pitchers and two teams allowing a lot of runs here. Play OVER. |
04-17-21 | Blue Jays v. Royals UNDER 7.5 | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 2 h 21 m | Show
Game one of a doubleheader here on Saturday between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Kansas City Royals. The Blue Jays are 6-7 on the season after Friday's loss to the Royals. They will send Dylan Cease to the hill today. Cease has pitched well with a 3.85 ERA over his two starts, but has no record to show for it. The Kansas City Royals are 4-6-1 O/U on the season and today they will send Mike Minor to the hill. Minor is 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA and 1.30 WHIP. Minor is coming off a 4 inning start at the White Sox, allowing just one run over his four innings. I like this game to go UNDER here today, keeping in mind that the game is 7 innings and not nine. |
04-16-21 | Dodgers v. Padres UNDER 8 | 11-6 | Loss | -103 | 10 h 38 m | Show
The NL West showdown we've been waiting for is here as the 11-2 LA Dodgers take on the 9-5 San Diego Padres. Yes, it's early in the season, but this should be an excellent series. Both teams getting excellent pitching as the Dodgers allow just 3.2 rpg and the Padres 2.9 rpg. The Dodgers will start Walker Buehler tonight. He's 1-0 after two starts with a nifty 1.50 ERA and 0.8333 WHIP. The Padres counter with first time starter Ryan Weathers. For me, I'm looking at a pitchers series here and tonight I'll start with the UNDER |
04-14-21 | Cubs v. Brewers UNDER 7 | 0-7 | Push | 0 | 1 h 55 m | Show
Cubs looking to get back to the .500 mark as they sit at 5-6 on the season after beating the Brewers on Tuesday night. The Cubs offense has been anemic at best, averaging just 2.9 runs per game this season. They will have some help on the mound today as Jake Arrieta toes the rubber. Arrieta is 2-0 on the season with a nifty 2.25 ERA over his 12 innings of work. The 6-5 Brewers will turn to Corbin Burnes who is 0-1 on the season after two starts. Burnes has just a 0.73 ERA. He has worked 12 1/3 innings and allowed just one earned run and two total hits. Two very good pitchers on the hill today and for me, I'm going UNDER. |
04-13-21 | Reds v. Giants UNDER 7.5 | 6-7 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 48 m | Show
The Cincinnati Reds off to a good start with a 7-3 record. They are also coming off a win on Monday at San Francisco, 3-0. Luis Castillo makes the start here today for the Reds. Castillo has two starts with a 1-1 record. He had a rough start in game one, going just 3 1/3 innings against the Cardinals and allowing eight runs and eight hits. However, he bounced back nicely against the Pirates, allowing just four hits and no runs over seven innings of work. The Giants are 6-4 on the season and while they average just 3.1 runs per game, they have allowed just 2.9 runs per game. Kevin Gausman will start for the Giants for the third time this year. Gausman has not record, but he has pitched well with a 1.32 ERA over his 13 2/3 innings of work with 11 KO's and just three walks. I like this game to go under with two good pitchers on the hill. Play UNDER. |
04-12-21 | Indians v. White Sox UNDER 8.5 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 24 m | Show
Cleveland Indians started slow out of the gate with a 1-3 record. However, four straight wins later and they sit at 5-3 on the season. They have also gone under in six of their eight games thanks to a pitching staff that's allowing just 2.8 runs per game this season. The White Sox dropped to 4-5 after losing on Sunday. They have also been a slight under team with five of their nine games going under. Triston McKenzie will make his first start of the season here for the Indians. The Sox will start Carlos Rodon. Rodon is 1-0 after going five inning against the Mariners in his opening game. He allowed no runs and just two hits over his five innings of work. I like this game to go UNDER tonight. |
04-11-21 | Rockies v. Giants UNDER 8 | 0-4 | Win | 100 | 6 h 38 m | Show
Colorado looks to snap a two-game losing streak here today at the Giants. The Rockies are just 3-6 on the season. They will turn to German Marquez today. Marquez is 0-0 in his two starts, and has a nice 3.60 ERA. He has allowed four total runs over 10 innings of work. The Giants are 5-3 on the season and have won three straight. They have gone under in six of their eight games this season. Anthony Desclafani makes his second start. He went a solid five innings in his first start vs the Padres, allowing four hits and one run. I look for both pitchers to do well here today and these teams to continue to be good under plays. Play UNDER. |
04-09-21 | A's v. Astros OVER 8.5 | 6-2 | Loss | -120 | 9 h 16 m | Show
Oakland not happy with their start to the season, winning just one of their first eight games. They have also given up a lot of runs, 7.4 rpg to be exact. Now they face a big hitting Houston team here today that is averaging 7.3 runs per game on offense. Sean Manaea gets his second start of the season. He went 4 2/3 innings in his first start vs the Astros, allowing five runs and two home runs. Lance McCullers Jr gets his second start for the Astros. He beat the A's in game two of the season, going five strong innings, allowing two hits and one run. Astros should get plenty of runs here today as this game goes OVER. |
04-01-21 | Rangers v. Royals UNDER 8.5 | 10-14 | Loss | -102 | 4 h 22 m | Show
Kansas City had the best record in the Cactus League of Spring training with a 16-8 mark. They had one of the better run differentials in +24. One big loss though will be that of Adalberto Mondesi, their starting shortstop who will being the season on the IL with a oblique strain. Texas also had a decent spring training with a 14-12 record. They did have a negative run differential though at -6 runs. We can't put a lot of stock in preseason, but I won't be convinced their anemic hitting teams will do much until I see it for myself. I'll take UNDER here to start their season. |
10-24-20 | Dodgers v. Rays OVER 8 | 7-8 | Win | 100 | 6 h 3 m | Show
The Dodgers have been flexing their offensive muscles in this series. Mookie Betts is paying dividends in his first year as he continues to be Mr Everything for the Dodgers. LA can take a 3-1 lead in the series with a win tonight. The Rays offensive struggles continued again last night. They did break out in game two with a big night, but that has been far and few between for the Rays. The Dodgers pitching staff has been just as good if not better than the Rays. I don't see the Rays being able to keep these Dodgers bats down. I'm going to take the OVER here tonight. |
10-16-20 | Astros v. Rays UNDER 8 | 7-4 | Loss | -112 | 19 h 56 m | Show
If you have watched this series then you have seen some excellent pitching. Both teams have excellent starters and very strong pens with big arms. But one thing that the hitters didn't want to contend with are the horrible shadows that PetCo Park in San Diego causes just at these times of the day. With this game starting in the afternoon, they will once again have to deal with those horrific shadows that make those hard throwers even more difficult to pick up. For that reason plus the excellent staffs, I'm sticking with the under here on Friday. Play UNDER. |
10-14-20 | Dodgers v. Braves OVER 9.5 | 15-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 22 m | Show
The Dodgers are already in the position of a "must win" game here on Wednesday as they trail the Atlanta Braves 0-2. The Dodgers fell behind 0-6 in Tuesday's game and rallied late to a 7-8 loss with the tying run on third base. Clayton Kershaw was supposed to start that game two, but back spasms had him replaced. The Dodgers can ill afford to fall back to 0-3 and as such they will be counting on Julio Urias here today. Urias has been very good of late, allowing no earned runs over his last two starts with just four hits. Moreover, Urias hasn't allowed more than two runs in any of his last five starts. Kyle Wright will start for the Braves. Wright is just 2-4 on the season with a 5.21 ERA. Wright has pitched better of late, allowing just two runs over his last three starts. Two very good offenses here tonight as I look for this one to go OVER the total. |
10-08-20 | A's v. Astros OVER 9.5 | 6-11 | Win | 100 | 3 h 19 m | Show
Game four here as the A's looked to stave off elimination in game three trailing 0-2 to the Astros. The A's won 9-7 in another wild shootout at Dodger Stadium. Dodger Stadium has long been known as a pitcher park, but not now. It has the highest runs in the postseason and every game thus far has been high scoring in this series. The A's likely without closer Liam Hendricks today as he had to go three innings in their win on Wednesday. Zack Greinke will go tonight after he was thought to miss the series with a sore arm. Helps our case for the total even more tonight as it looks like Greinke won't be 100%. The pitching staff will be thin for the Astros here on Thursday. Looks like another hitters game from the Launching pad on Thursday. With pitching being thin on both sides I expect another high scoring game here today. Play OVER. |
10-07-20 | Rays v. Yankees OVER 9 | 8-4 | Win | 102 | 6 h 22 m | Show
The Yankees are healthy for the first time all season and it's showed with their bats. The Yankees have scored at least five runs in each of their playoff games. In fact, during their series with the Indians they score 22 runs in two games. And that's against one of the better pitching staffs this year in baseball. They opened with a 9-3 win over the Rays in game one of this series and then lost yesterday in game two, 5-7. Yet, we see just a total of nine on tonight's contest. Charlie Morton has a 4.74 ERA for the Rays this year. Masahiro Tanaka has just a 4.33 ERA for the Yankees. I don't see this game going any other way than OVER. |
10-05-20 | Astros v. A's UNDER 8 | 10-5 | Loss | -100 | 14 h 12 m | Show
The ALDS begins here on Monday with the Astros facing the A's. This series will be in Dodgers Stadium in LA with the winning moving on to the AL Championship Series. Both teams won their Wildcard round best of three and now this is best of five before moving into best of seven for the ALCS. Lance McCullers will start for the Astros. McCullers was 3-3 on the season with a 3.93 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. McCullers has lost his last four games, though he's allowed just three earned runs over 17.2 innings. Chris Bassitt will start for the A's. Bassitt was 5-2 on the season with a 2.29 ERA. Bassitt has won five straight games and has allowed just two earned runs over his last 33.2 innings. Should be a very good pitchers duel. I'm taking the UNDER. |
10-02-20 | Cardinals v. Padres OVER 9 | 0-4 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 4 m | Show
Game three of this series and it's all tied up at 1-1 as the winner of tonight's contest will move on to the next round of the playoffs. The Cardinals took game one and looked in control of game two. But a rally by the Padres saved the day and they get to play again. The Cards will send Jack Flaherty to the hill today. Flaherty is 4-3 in his nine starts with a 4.91 ERA. However, he's been horrible on the road, posting a 9.45 ERA in his four games. Adrian Morejon will start for the Padres with a 0-1 record in his four starts with a 4.82 ERA. Neither pitcher will likely be around long, especially Morejon who likely will go only an inning or two. For me, I love this game to go over the total. Play OVER. |
10-01-20 | White Sox v. A's OVER 8.5 | 4-6 | Win | 100 | 3 h 47 m | Show
Final game of this series as the White Sox took game one and the A's rebounded in game two, 5-3. No day off here as the teams come right back on Thursday for the third and final game of this series. The A's might be without their closer in Hendricks who had to go last night to preserve the win. Hendricks doesn't usually go in back-to-back games, but he might be forced to here today. Dane Dunning will go for the Sox with a 2-0 record and 3.97 ERA on the season. He will be opposed by Mike Fiers who is 6-3 with a 4.58 ERA. Tough game here today, but I give the edge to Fiers who has been winning games all season. The A's might not need their closer in this one if they blow them out. Take the OVER. |
09-30-20 | White Sox v. A's UNDER 7.5 | 3-5 | Loss | -115 | 14 h 24 m | Show
The White Sox took game one of this series with the Oakland A's on Tuesday, 4-1. That takes a lot of pressure off the Sox here today as they send lefty Dallas Keuchel to the hill. Keuchel was 6-2 in his 11 starts this season with a nifty 1.99 ERA and 1.090 WHIP. Keuchel finished strong, allowing just two total runs over his last four starts (20 innings). The A's will try to even this series with righty Chris Bassitt. Bassitt was 5-2 in his 11 starts with a 2.29 ERA and 1.159 WHIP. Bassitt was equally strong down the stretch, allowing just one earned run over his last 26 1/3 innings. This will be another great pitcher's duel today and for me, I'll take the UNDER and enjoy the low scoring affair. Play UNDER. |
09-30-20 | Astros v. Twins UNDER 8 | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 12 h 22 m | Show
The Houston Astros took game one of this playoff series with the favored Minnesota Twins on Tuesday, 4-1. The game was tied in the 9th inning before the Astros got a bases loaded 2-out walk and a 2-out single to push across three runs and steal game one. The Astros will send Lance McCullers to the hill. McCullers is 3-3 in his 11 starts with a 3.93 ERA. However, he's had some excellent starts of late. In two of his last four starts he's allowed no runs. The Twins turn to Jose Berrios. Berrios is 5-4 in his 12 starts with a 4.00 ERA. Berrios wasn't great his last start, allowing four runs over five innings. However, before that he allowed 5 total runs over four starts (22 innings). This series looks to be a very tight, close and low scoring one. I'm taking UNDER here in game two. |
09-30-20 | Reds v. Braves UNDER 7.5 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 11 h 21 m | Show
The earliest game here on Wednesday's Playoffs will have the Cincinnati Reds playing at the Atlanta Braves. The Reds finished the regular season in 3rd place in the NL Central with a 31-29 record. The Atlanta Braves were 1st in the NL East with a 35-25 record. Treor Bauer will go here for the Reds. Bauer was 5-4 in his 11 starts, but had a very good 1.73 ERA and 0.795 WHIP that really warranted a better overall record. Bauer didn't allow more than two runs in any of his last five starts. Max Fried was the Ace for the Braves and rightly so. Fried was a perfect 7-0 in his 11 starts with a 2.25 ERA. Fried was so consistent that he allowed more than two runs just one time in 11 starts and that was only three runs. Don't expect the Reds to get much here today, they need Bauer to keep pace. With that, this is an UNDER play for me. |
09-24-20 | Astros v. Rangers UNDER 8 | 12-4 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 20 m | Show
The Houston Astros could miss the playoffs with their 28-28 record. They won't catch the A's for first place as they trail by 6 1/2 games in the AL West. They trail Toronto for the final playoff spot by one game. It doesn't help that they are just 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Rangers are in last in the AL West and just playing out the final week. Cristian Javier starts for the Astros with a 4-2 record and 3.55 ERA. Lance Lynn had an excellent season for the Rangers as he makes one of his final starts. Lynn is 6-2 in his 12 starts with a 2.53 ERA. Both pitchers are above average and neither team has been providing much offense of late. I'm taking the UNDER here today. |
09-24-20 | White Sox v. Indians UNDER 7.5 | 4-5 | Loss | -115 | 6 h 25 m | Show
White Sox and Indians both have clinched playoff spots as we enter the last week before the postseason. However, while both hold Wildcard spots right now, they are still within 2 1/2 games of 1st place Minnesota for first place. Dallas Keuchel will start today for the White Sox. Keuchel is 6-2 in his 10 starts with a 2.04 ERA and 1.099 WHIP. Keuchel has been great lately, allowing no earned runs over his last three starts (14 innings). Zach Plesac toes the rubber today for the Tribe. Plesac is 4-2 with a 1.85 ERA and 0.781 WHIP. Aside from one bad start, Plesac has allowed one or no runs in four of his last five starts. Two excellent pitchers here today and for me that's an UNDER. |
09-21-20 | Brewers v. Reds UNDER 7.5 | 3-6 | Loss | -115 | 5 h 14 m | Show
These two teams are still in the race for a playoff spot, but only one could likely get the spot. The Reds are in 3rd in the NL Central and the Brewers are in 4th, one game back in the loss column to the Reds. The Brewers start Brandon Woodruff today with a 2-4 record and 3.45 ERA. Woodruff has allowed just three runs over his last 14 innings with 17 KO's and no walks. Luis Castillo will toe the rubber for the Reds today with a 3-5 record and 3.19 ERA. Castillo has also been very good of late, allowing just one run over his last 16 innings with 16 KO's and four walks. Both these pitchers are on hot streaks and for me that means an UNDER here today. |
09-19-20 | White Sox v. Reds UNDER 8 | 5-0 | Win | 100 | 9 h 58 m | Show
The AL Central leading Chicago White Sox have won seven of their last 10 games as they continue to be one of the surprise teams of 2020. The Sox are now 33-18 and have already secured a playoff spot. The Cincinnati Reds are 26-26 as we head down the final stretch of the regular season. The Reds have won six straight and eight of 10 games. Dallas Keuchel will start for the Sox with a 6-2 record in nine games. Keuchel has an impressive 2.19 ERA and has allowed NO runs over his last 10 innings. Trevor Bauer will toe the rubber for the Reds. Bauer is 4-3 on the season with a 1.71 ERA and 0.810 WHIP. Bauer has allowed just two runs over his last 20 innings. Two excellent pitchers here today will have me on the UNDER. |
09-11-20 | Indians v. Twins UNDER 7 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 15 m | Show
Cleveland and Minnesota had been battling for first place in the AL Central until the White Sox passed both by to take over the division lead. Now the Twins are one game back and the Indians are 1 1/2 games back for a three-team race in the division. The Indians start their Ace today in Shane Bieber. Bieber is having a Cy Young type year with a 7-0 record in his nine starts with a 1.25 ERA and 0.850 WHIP. Bieber has allowe no runs in five of his starts this year. Kenta Maeda came over from the Dodgers in the off season and is doing quite well for the Twins. Maeda is 4-1 in his eight starts with a 2.77 ERA and 0.719 WHIP. Maeda has yet to allow more than three runs in any start. For me, runs will be at a high premium in this game. I'm taking the UNDER. |
09-09-20 | Brewers v. Tigers UNDER 7.5 | 19-0 | Loss | -106 | 1 h 4 m | Show
Milwaukee Brewers looking to get back to the .500 mark as they sit at 18-22 on the season. They have lost three straight games. The Detroit Tigers are 19-21 on the season and sitting in 4th place in the AL Central. The Brewers will start Corbin Burnes. Burnes is 2-0 in his five starts with a 1.75 ERA and 1.0013 WHIP. He's allowed just one run over his last 12 innings with 17 KO's. The Tigers counter with Matt Boyd. Boyd is only 1-5 on the season with a 6.64 ERA. However, he's pitched much better of late, allowing just five total runs over his last 17 1/3 innings with 20 KO's and just one walk. I like this game to be low scoring today. Play UNDER. |
09-07-20 | Royals v. Indians UNDER 8.5 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 57 m | Show
Two very good pitchers match up in this game today for Kansas City and Cleveland. The Kansas City Royals will start Keller who is four and one in his starts this year with a 1.93 ERA and a 1.036 whip. On the other side please Plesac will start for Cleveland. Plesac is two and one while the team is two and two in his starts. Plesac has a 1.33 ERA. In addition Plesac has a excellent 0.667 whip. I like thiis Game to go under the total. |
08-29-20 | Nationals v. Red Sox OVER 11 | 3-5 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 40 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox continue to occupy the bottom rung in the AL East at 10-22. They have lost two straight and six of their last 10 games. They will host the Washington Nationals here on Saturday. The Nats are also in last place, in the NL East. The defending Champions are just 12-17 so far this season. The Nats will start Anibal Sanchez today. Sanchez is 1-3 with a 6.489 ERA this season. Sanchez is coming off his best start of the season with a seven inning outing vs the Marlins with just five hits and one run. The Red Sox will counter with Chris Mazza. Mazza makes his second start of the season. His first wasn't that good, going just three innings vs the Yankees and allowing eight hit and four run. I like the visitor in this one, Sanchez can build off that last excellent start. Play Washington. |
08-29-20 | Braves v. Phillies OVER 10 | 1-4 | Loss | -122 | 1 h 34 m | Show
Early start here on Saturday has the Braves taking on the Phillies. Atlanta is in first place in the NL East with a 18-13 record. They have won seven of their last 10 games. The Phillies are 4th in the East with a 13-14 record and have won four in a row. Josh Tomlin starts his third game for the Braves today. Tomlin is 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA. He will face Zach Eflin today. Eflin is 1-1 with a 5.12 ERA. Neither pitcher is very good and both teams can hit. I'll take the OVER. |
08-24-20 | A's v. Rangers UNDER 8 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 20 h 49 m | Show
The Oakland A's are 1st in the AL West with a 20-9 record. Their 20 wins are most in the AL so far and second in baseball to the 22 by the Dodgers. The A's will start Jesus Luzardo today. Luzardo is 2-0 in his four starts with a 3.54 ERA and 1.377 WHIP. He's coming off his best outing, a 6 1/3 inning showcase against Arizona where he allowed four hits and no runs. Lanc Lynn will counter for the Rangers. Lynn is 3-0 in his six starts with a 1.37 ERA and 0.814 WHIP. Lynn has no allowed more than two runs in any of his six starts this season. Another great pitching matchup and that means UNDER for me. |
08-24-20 | Twins v. Indians UNDER 9 | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 19 h 54 m | Show
AL Central showdown here as the Twins lead the division by 1 1/2 games over the Indians. Both teams have had great success so far this season. Both teams have also won seven of their last 10 games. Despite a couple of bad innings over the weekend given up to the Tigers, the Indians still have allowed the fewest runs in the league with just 84. No other AL team has allowed less than 100 thus far. The Twins are second best in the AL in runs allowed with 100 even allowed. The Twins start Kenta Maeda on Monday, who came over in the offseason from the Dodgers. Maeda has proven very effective for the Twins, posting a 3-0 record in five starts with a 2.27 ERA and very low 0.632 WHIP. He's struck out 27 and walked just five this season. The Tribe will counter with Aaron Civale. Civale is 3-2 in his five starts with a 2.91 ERA and 0.971 WHIP. Both these starters have been very good and I will go UNDER in today's contest. |
08-22-20 | Rockies v. Dodgers UNDER 8.5 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 23 m | Show
The Lakers flexed their muscles in game two of their series with the Blazers. After losing game one in bad fashion they rebounded with a resounding shutdown of the high scoring Portland offense, winning game two easily. The Lakers look to continue that here in game three. The Blazers realize that they need to play more of an uptempo game against the Lakers. The Blazers are led by Damian Lillard, who has been unstopable up until game two of this series. Problem for Blazers is that he hurt his index finger in game two, dislocating the finger. He will be playing today in game three, but how will this effect his play? Lilliard had only 18-points before leaving in the 3rd quarter with his injury. For me, even with a healthy Lilliard the Lakers have found out how to shut down this offense of the Blazers. Number a bit high for me here today, so I will go with the UNDER. |
08-21-20 | Diamondbacks v. Giants OVER 9.5 | 2-6 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 27 m | Show
The two bottom teams in the NL West matchup here today as the Giants host the Diamondbacks. Arizona is 13-13, but has lost its last two games. The D'backs have allowed the 2nd most runs in the NL, only the Giants have allowed more. Robbie Ray toes the rubber for the D'backs with a 8.59 ERA in his five starts. Ray is coming off his best start of the year, one run and no hits over five innings against the Padres. The Giants are 11-16 and look to hold down the last spot in the West for the duration. Logan Webb gets the start today and is 1-2 in his five starts with a 3.54 ERA. Web has allowed five runs over his last 7 2/3 innings. Two teams with poor pens and questionable starters makes me love the OVER here. |
08-21-20 | Phillies v. Braves UNDER 8 | 2-11 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 52 m | Show
Phillies starting Aaron Nola. Nola has gone at least 5 innings in each start and has a nice 2.05 ERA. Same for the Braves that start Max Fried. Fried has gone at least 5-innings in each of hist five starts with a 1.24 ERA. Two very good starters that should get us past 5 innings. I'll take UNDER. |
08-20-20 | Reds v. Cardinals UNDER 8 | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 5 m | Show
The St Louis Cardinals got a break due to a Covid-19 positive test, but they are back. The Cardinals have just 13 games under their belt and area 6-7, but in 3rd place in the NL Central. Adam Wainwright has pitched very well for the Cards this year in his two starts. Wainwright is 2-0 with a 1.64 ERA and a 0.818 WHIP. The Cincinnati Reds are in 4th place in the NL Central with a 10-12 record. Sonny Gray gets the start today. Gray is 4-1 in his five starts with a 2.05 ERA and 0.913 WHIP this season. Great pitcher's duel here today, but I'll take the UNDER. |
08-20-20 | Indians v. Pirates UNDER 7.5 | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 8 h 22 m | Show
Cleveland Indians continue to keep pace with the Twins in the AL Central. The Twins are in first place with a 16-9 record and the Indians are right behind with a 15-9 record. The Indians have arguably the overall best pitching staff right now, allowing just 66 total runs (Best in the Majors). The Indians staff will face the light hitting Pirates today. Pittsburgh is in last place in the NL Central with a 4-16 record and have the worst record in baseball. They have just 78 runs and a -42 run differential. Shane Bieber goes today for the Tribe. Bieber is 4-0 in his five starts with a nifty 1.30 ERA and 0.721 WHIP. He's also KO'd 54 and walked just six. Trevor Williams starts for the Pirates and even though he hasn't pitched poorly, he is 1-3 in his four starts. Williams has a 3.98 ERA and 1.229 WHIP. In fact, he hasn't allowed more than three runs in any start this season. Can't lay the enormous price on the Indians here, but I will take the UNDER. |
08-18-20 | Blue Jays v. Orioles OVER 9.5 | 8-7 | Win | 100 | 7 h 7 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles have been a surprise team thus far with a 12-10 season. They have won seven of their last 10 games. They will face the Toronto Blue Jays that are right behind them in the AL East with a 8-11 record. Toronto will start Nate Pearson today. Pearson has not been very good with a 5.11 ERA and 1.460 WHIP in his three starts. Wade Leblanc will oppose for the O's. Leblanc has four starts and is 1-0 with a 7.13 ERA and 1.472 WHIP. Neither of these pitchers have had much success this year. I expect his game to be a high scoring one. Play the OVER. |
08-17-20 | Tigers v. White Sox OVER 9.5 | 2-7 | Loss | -102 | 10 h 38 m | Show
Detroit Tigers sitting in 4th place in the AL Central with a 9-10 record. The Tigers have lost five straight games and six of their last 10. They have one of the higher runs allowed numbers in the AL in 105. Today's starter has given up his share of run. Matt Boyd is 0-2 in his four starts with a lofty 10.24 ERA and 1.965 WHIP. Boyd has allowed 14 runs over his last 9 1/3 innings with six walks and just 10 KO's. The White Sox will counter with Gio Gonzalez here today. Gonzalez is 2-1 on the season with a 4.26 ERA and 2.052 WHIP. The WHIP is high mainly because he's allowed seven walks compared to just 11 KO's. I expect a lot of runs in this one today. Play the OVER. |
08-14-20 | Padres v. Diamondbacks UNDER 9 | 1-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 16 m | Show
Tight race at the top of the NL West, with the Rockies and Dodgers tied for first and the Padres two games back. The Diamondbacks have climbed out of the cellar and now are 4th with a 8-11 record. The Padres start their best pitcher in Dinelson Lamet. Lamet is 2-0 in his four starts with a 1.61 ERA and 0.850 WHIP. Lamet has 28 KO's and just seven walks so far this year. The D'backs will counter with Merrill Kelly. Kelly is having a fine season too with a 2-1 record in his three starts. Kelly has a 2.29 ERA and 0.966 WHIP and has walked just one batter in 19 2/3 innings with 15 KO's. I like this game to go under here tonight. Play UNDER. |
08-14-20 | Rays v. Blue Jays OVER 10 | 4-12 | Win | 100 | 7 h 13 m | Show
Tampa Bay has moved into second place in the AL East, just one game back of the Yankees thanks to a 6-game win streak. The Rays have the most runs in the AL (107) and are tied with the Dodgers overall in MLB. Trevor Richards gets his first start of the season here today. Richards is 0-0 on the season with a 5.79 ERA and 1.82 WHIP out of the pen. Toronto is now playing out of their home in Buffalo and is 6-9 on the season and has lost seven of their last 10 games. Tanner Roark gets the start today for the Jays with a 1-1 record in his two starts. Roark has a 5.63 ERA and 1.375 WHIP. Rays keep hitting the ball well and the Jays should get their share today off Richards. I'm taking the OVER here today. |
08-12-20 | Cubs v. Indians UNDER 8 | 7-2 | Loss | -109 | 7 h 35 m | Show
Chicago Cubs off to an excellent start at 11-3 on the season and 1st place in the NL Central. The Cubs had a few days off as the Cardinals series was postponed due to Cardinals having the Covid virus. They opened their series with the Indians with a easy win on Tuesday. Kyle Hendricks gets the start today. Hendricks is 2-1 in his three starts with a 3.54 ERA and 0.935 WHIP. Hendricks has two excellent starts and one poor start thus far. The Indians will counter with Carlos Carrasco. Carrasco is 2-1 in his three starts with a 2.50 ERA and 1.00 WHIP. Both these pitchers very good overall. The Indians have been a great under team, with 15 of their last 18 games going under. They are also 1-4 O/U in their last five vs the National League. Take UNDER. |
08-11-20 | Cubs v. Indians UNDER 9 | 7-1 | Win | 100 | 6 h 24 m | Show
Chicago Cubs off to an excellent start at 10-3 on the season and 1st place in the NL Central. The Cubs had a few days off as the Cardinals series was postponed due to Cardinals having the Covid virus. Now they return to action at Cleveland. Veteran Jon Lester gets the start. He looked like his young self thus far, with a 1-0 record in two starts and a 0.82 ERA. While he doesn't strike out all that many anymore, his control is still very good. The Cleveland Indians are 3rd in the AL Central with a 10-7 record. The Indians have won four straight games. The Indians have also allowed a league low 37 total runs. Adam Plutko starts today for the Tribe. Plutko has one start and that was against the White Sox. He went six innings and allowed just two runs. Both these pitchers are solid and the the way the Indians have playing under, it's difficult to go against here Play UNDER. |
08-11-20 | Marlins v. Blue Jays UNDER 8.5 | 4-5 | Loss | -111 | 6 h 51 m | Show
Despite their bout with the Covid bug, the Miami Marlins are 7-3 and have the best winning percentage in the NL East. They have lost two straight game however. Elieser Hernandez will make his second start of the season. Hernandez went 4 1/3 innings in his first start vs the Orioles and allowed no runs and just two hits for the WIN. Toronto is just 5-8 to start the season and has scored just 39 runs, lowest in the A.L. Hyun-Jin Ryu came of from the Dodgers and had his best start of the season in his last outing vs the Braves. Ryu went five innings and allowed just one hit and not runs. Don't expect many runs in this one tonight. Ryu is quality and the Jays are struggling for runs. Play UNDER. |
08-08-20 | Diamondbacks v. Padres UNDER 7.5 | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 55 m | Show
Excellent pitching matchup here tonight between the Diamondbacks and Padres. Arizona will start Merrill Kelly who is 1-1 in his two starts. Kelly has a 2.63 ERA and 0.951 WHIP. He held the hard hitting Dodgers to just three runs over six innings and Texas to just one run over 7 2/3 innings. Kelly also has excellent control, walking just one while striking out 11. The Padres will counter with Chris Paddack. Paddack is 2-0 in his three starts with a 2.65 ERA and 0.941 ERA. Also with excellent control, Paddack has allowed just one walk over his 17 innings with 15 KO's. Look for these two pitchers to keep this one low scoring until the late innings. Take the UNDER. |
08-08-20 | Indians v. White Sox UNDER 9 | 7-1 | Win | 100 | 3 h 9 m | Show
The Cleveland Indians look to rebound from their loss last night to the White Sox,0-2. Th pitching has been great for the Tribe, holding each of their last seven opponents to three runs or fewer. In fact, they had back-to-back shutouts of the Reds before last night's loss. Zach Plesac may be 0-1 in his two starts, but he's pitched well with a 1.80 ERA and 0.533 WHIP. He's allowed just seven total hits and three earned runs over his 15 innings with 17 KO's and just one BB. The White Sox are playing well, having won seven of their last 10 games. They will go with Matt Foster today who has yet to start a game this year. I like the Indians and White Sox to go under here as no one has scored much on this Indians team. Play UNDER |
08-07-20 | Indians v. White Sox UNDER 8.5 | 0-2 | Win | 103 | 9 h 38 m | Show
Cleveland is 8-6 to start the season. The Indians have won three straight games and have allowed just 30 total runs over 14 games. They face a White Sox team that sits right behind them in the division with a 7-6 record. The Sox have lost two straight and have a +2 run differential. The Tribe will start Aaron Civale today. Civale has two starts and is 1-1 with a 3.75 ERA and 1.083 WHIP. He's gone six innings in both starts and has 18 total KO's and just one walk. The Sox will have Dylan Cease toe the rubber. Cease is 1-1 in his two starts but has a 6.48 ERA. Cease had a bad first outing but rebounded last time with six innings and just two runs allowed to the Royals. I like this game to be low scoring here tonight. Play the UNDER. |
08-07-20 | Blue Jays v. Red Sox UNDER 10.5 | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 8 h 59 m | Show
Blue Jays and Red Sox holding down the bottom two positions in the AL East right now, which is strange for both these teams. The Jays are 4-6 after having lost their last game. They have a -10 run differential. The Red Sox are 4-8 and have lost seven of their last 10 games. They also have a -10 run differential. Toronto will start Tanner Roark today who is 1-0 in his only start. Roark went five innings vs the Nationals and allowed three hits and one run. The Sox will counter with Ryan Weber who is 0-2 in his two starts with a 11.57 ERA and 2.429 WHIP. I'm a bit iffy on Weber, but I expect Roark to pitch another fine outing. Let's hope for a better performance tonight out of Weber and with that I'll take the UNDER with these two struggling teams. Play UNDER |
08-06-20 | Reds v. Indians UNDER 7.5 | 0-13 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 3 m | Show
The Cleveland Indians are 7-6 here to start the season. The Indians have been relying on their pitching staff thus far, allowing just 30 runs over 13 games (best in AL). They will start Carlos Carrasco today. Carrasco is 1-1 in his two starts with a 3.75 ERA and 1.083 WHIP. Carrasco has pitched well thus far. The Reds are 5-7 to start the season and have lost two straight games. They have allowed 51 runs over their 12 games. The Reds will start their ACE Luis Castillo today. Castillo is 0-1 in his two starts with a 4.50 ERA and 1.33 WHIP. Castillo had a great first start, allowing one run over six innings. However, he got roughed up in game two with five earned runs over six innings to the Tigers. Indians have a great pitching staff and the Reds have their ACE going. I like the UNDER here today. |
08-05-20 | Blue Jays v. Braves OVER 9 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 31 m | Show |
Toronto off to a 3-5 start and has lost three straight games. The Jays had a layoff of four games against the Phillies due to concerns over the Covid virus at Philadelphia. The Jays returned last night and were promptly beaten badly by the Braves 1-10. Hyun-Jim Ryu came over from the Dodgers in the offseason. Ryu has two starts and is 0-1 with a 8.00 ERA and 1.889 WHIP. He'll face the first place Atlanta Braves who are 8-4 and have 69 runs scored this year (tops in baseball). Sean Newcomb will start for the Braves. Newcomb has two starts with a 8.22 ERA. Neither pitcher all that good here and the Braves crushing the ball. They both should get runs here today. Play the OVER |
08-04-20 | Royals v. Cubs UNDER 8 | 4-5 | Loss | -120 | 9 h 51 m | Show
The Chicago Cubs are sitting first in the NL Central division with a 8-2 record. They have won six of their seven home games and have won four in a row overall. The Royals started fast but have cooled since. KC is now last in the AL Central with a 3-8 record, losing four straight games. The offense has been sputtering with just 40 runs over 11 games. The Royals will start Brady Singer today. Singer has two starts but no record. He has gone 10 innings with just four total runs. Kyle Hendricks will counter for the Cubs. Hendricks went nine innings in his first start vs the Brewers, allowing just three hits and no runs. He was hit hard in start two, allowing seven hits and six runs over 4 1/3 innings to the Reds. Despite that bad start, the Royals will be just the medicine for him here today. I'm taking the UNDER. |
08-04-20 | Indians v. Reds UNDER 8 | Top | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 7 h 46 m | Show |
Battle for Ohio continues here on Tuesday as the Reds host the Indians. The Reds are 5-5 to start the season while the Indians are 5-6. Cleveland ran it's losing streak to four games with the loss on Monday to the Reds, 2-3. The scoring drought continues with just two runs in that game. Indians have lost four straight games in which they scored a total of four runs. In fact, their last six games have easily gone under the total. The Reds will start Tyler Mahle today. Mahle went four innings in his first start, giving up six hits and two runs to the Cubs. Right now pitching is feasting on this anemic Indians hitting. I had the under yesterday and that's what I'm doing here today too. Play the UNDER. |
08-03-20 | Dodgers v. Padres UNDER 8 | 4-5 | Loss | -106 | 13 h 37 m | Show
Padres are 6-4 to start their season, having lost two straight games. They return home where they started out 3-1 vs the Diamondbacks. The Padres have scored the most runs in the NL so far with 59. They will face a stingy Dodgers' pitching staff that has allowed only 24 runs thus far and is 7-3 on the season. The Dodgers opened up with two wins over then Giants, then dropped their next to the San Francisco. Since then they are 5-1. Walker Buehler starts for LA after going just 3 2/3 innings in his first start at Houston. He allowed two earned runs in that no decision. San Diego will start Chris Paddack who is 1-0 in two starts. He's allowed two total runs over 11 innings of work with just one walk and 10 KO's. I look for a low scoring game here tonight as Paddock has been excellent and the Dodgers overall staff is one of the better ones. Play the UNDER. |
08-03-20 | Indians v. Reds UNDER 8.5 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 6 m | Show |
Battle for Ohio here on Monday has the Reds hosting the Indians. The Reds are 4-5 to start the season while the Indians are 5-5. Cleveland has lost three straight games in which they scored a total of two runs against the Twins. In fact, their last five games have easily gone under the total. The Reds will turn to Sonny Gray. Gray has been excellent thus far, going 2-0 with a 0.71 ERA and allowing just one earned run, four hits, three walks and 20 KO's. The Reds will be without power hitter Joey Votto who has been put on the IR with Covid-19. The Indians will counter with Zach Plesac. Plesac has one start and he went a solid eight innings, allowed three total hits and no runs but still got no decision. Both these pitchers look spot on and with the recent under play by the Indians, I'm sticking with that here on Monday. Play UNDER. |
08-03-20 | Mets v. Braves UNDER 7.5 | 7-2 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 37 m | Show
Braves off to an excellent start at 7-3 on the season. They have won five straight games after taking the last two games vs the Rays and the first three of this four game set with the Mets. After a wild game one in which the Braves won 11-10, they have since held the Mets to just one run over the last two games. The Mets are last in the NL East at 3-7. They have been hit hard by injuries to their starting staff. Today though they get their Ace on this hill in Jacob deGrom. deGrom has no record in his two starts. He's gone 11 innings thus far with just four hits and two runs allowed with 12 KO's. Mike Soroka will counter for the Braves. Soroka also has no record in his two starts. Soroka's gone 11 1/3 innings with eight hits and two total earned runs. Both starters are excellent and I like this game to go the way the last two have, under. Play UNDER |
08-02-20 | Indians v. Twins UNDER 9.5 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 3 h 34 m | Show
Minnesota off to a good start at 6-2 on the season. They have won two straight games and scored 43 runs while allowing just 23. The Indians are 5-4 and have lost two straight while scoring 25 runs and allowing 22. This series has been low scoring with no more than five runs in any of the three games. Aaron Civale starts for the Tribe. Civale went six innings in his first start against the White Sox, allowing just two runs and seven hits. Civale also struck out nine and walked just one. The Twins will start Tyler Clippard. Homer Bailey was scheduled to start but he has been pushed back to Monday for extra rest. Clippard has been a veteran reliever and has been in four innings from the pen this year with one run allowed and three hits. Both teams have excellent pitching staffs and I expect this one to stay true to form. Play UNDER |
08-01-20 | Dodgers v. Diamondbacks UNDER 9.5 | 11-2 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 17 m | Show
I hit the under in this game on Friday night, despite some eighth run explosiveness from the Diamondbacks. Dodgers led 3-1 in the 8th before the D'backs rallied for four runs and the eventual win. Not usual for the Dodgers bullpen to give up leads in the late innings. Julio Urias had a solid first outing, going five innings allowing five hits and one run in a no decision to the Giants. Luke Weaver didn't do well in his first start, going just 3 1/3 innings and allowing seven hits and six runs. Dodgers have gone under in six straight now. Arizona is 1-6 O/U in their last seven games. I like the UNDER here tonight. Play UNDER. |
08-01-20 | Indians v. Twins UNDER 8.5 | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 17 m | Show
The Cleveland Indians shut down the Minnesota bats on Friday, 2-0. Both teams right at the top of the AL Central now. Both teams also doing well pitching as the Twins have allowed just 23 runs in seven games and the Indians have allowed 19 runs. The Twins have the biggest run differential in the AL at +17. Carlos Carraso is 1-0 for the Indians, going six innings and allowing two runs in his win over the Royals. Kenta Maeda, acquired from the Dodgers, also won his opener. Maeda went five innings and allowed two runs to the White Sox. Both these pitchers are good and both teams have not allowed many runs. I'm taking UNDER. |
07-31-20 | Dodgers v. Diamondbacks UNDER 9.5 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 11 h 43 m | Show |
Dodgers off to a nice 5-2 start to the season. Their pitching staff has been all the hype that has been laid upon it thus far. But the hitting has really come alive with the addition of Mookie Betts to the leadoff spot. The Dodgers have 37 runs over seven games and have allowed just 17 runs. The D'Backs are just 2-5 and have scored just 20 runs over their seven games while allowing 35. The Dodgers should have little trouble keeping the weak hitting D'backs down in this one. Take the UNDER. |

07-31-20 | Astros v. Angels OVER 9 | 9-6 | Win | 100 | 10 h 14 m | Show
The Astros are just 3-3 to start the season, but they are tied for first as no team in the AL West has more than three wins. They have lost Verlander and it looks like some teams (Dodgers) are doing some head hunting at the same time. The Astros have 33 runs scored, tied for 2nd best in their division. They are the only team in the West that has a plus run differential (+8). The LA Angels are just 2-5 to start the season and have allowed 37 runs over seven games. The pitching has been fair while the hitting has been above average. I'm taking this game over as neither pitching staff is wowing me at this point. Play OVER. |

07-31-20 | Mets v. Braves OVER 10.5 | 10-11 | Win | 100 | 8 h 14 m | Show
Mets have suffered season ending injuries to their starting pitching and that will hurt this team that was once starter rich. The Mets are 3-4 thus far and allowing 36 runs (9 more then they have scored) so we see already that pitching is an issue. The Braves are 4-3 and have scored 35 runs in their seven games, which is tops in the NL East. This early I'm looking at the over in this contest as the pitching still looking to catch up to the hitting. Play OVER. |

07-31-20 | Red Sox v. Yankees OVER 10.5 | 1-5 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 8 m | Show
The rivalry renews here, even in this shortened season. The Yankees have disappointed at this juncture with a 4-1 record. A bit surprised that all the big bats they have on this club have produced just 26 runs over five games, but that's still over a 5 run per game average. The Red Sox are 3-4 and it looks like they sorely miss Mookie Betts in that leadoff spot to produce runs. The Sox have scored 36 runs, but they have allowed 38 runs. Yankees might have a feast on this Red Sox pitching. I'm taking the OVER. |
