05-13-22 | Brewers v. Marlins UNDER 6.5 | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 7 h 16 m | Show
The Brewers and Marlins begin a three-game set here on Friday from Miami. The Brewers are 20-12 on the season and in first place in the NL Central. The Brewers Ace, Corbin Burnes will start today. Despite have just one win and two losses, he's pitched very well with a 1.86 ERA and 0.802 WHIP. The Miami Marlins are 14-17 after snapping a three game losing streak with a win at Arizona on Wednesday, 11-3. Pablo Lopez gets the start today Lopez is 4-1 on the season and has an excellent 1.25 ERA and 0.889 WHIP. Lopez has allowed no runs in four of his six starts this season. Two of the best pitchers on the mound today, I'll take the UNDER. |
05-12-22 | Astros v. Twins UNDER 8.5 | 5-0 | Win | 100 | 5 h 45 m | Show
We've seen a bit of a shift recently from the Unders that dominated early in the season to more even now that overs have been catching up. Still, one team that continues to produce great unders is this Houston club. They did it again for me last night night with a 5-0 shutout of the Twins. Their pitching has been amazing during this eight game win streak. They have allowed no runs their last two games and no more than two runs in any of their last eight games (four shutouts). Meanwhile, their hitting hasn't been great but good enough. Luis Garcia stars today for the Astros with a 2-1 record in five starts and a 3.45 ERA. He is coming off an excellent start that saw him go seven innings, allow two hits and two runs. The Twins had their three game win streak snapped last night by the Astros. They have struggled at times to score runs with just seven total runs scored over the last four games. Josh Winder toes the rubber today and has a 2-0 record in his two start. Winder has yet to allow a run in his 12 innings of work with just five total his, 15 KO's and just one BB. Winder should keep this one low scoring again and I will be on the UNDER again tonight. |
05-11-22 | A's v. Tigers UNDER 7.5 | 9-0 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 19 m | Show
The Oakland A's looked like they had got back on track after losing nine straight games. They had won two straight before losing last night to Detroit, 0-6. The Tigers continue to flounder a bit with the bats while the pitching has remained strong. Oakland starts Zach Logue here today with a 0-1 record in his only start and a 3.60 ERA. He pitched well enough to win, but got only one run of support from his team. The Tigers offense has also struggled. The six runs they got yesterday was more than their last five games combined. In fact, before yesterday the Tigers have not scored more than three runs in their last nine games and 12 of their last 13. The Tigers will start their prospect Joey Wentz today as he makes his MLB debut. The Tigers are getting thin on starters and Wentz is being brought up to fill a short term gap. Two poor hitting teams here today as I stick with the UNDER. |
05-10-22 | Royals v. Rangers UNDER 8 | 4-6 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 27 m | Show
The Kansas City Royals are just 9-17 on the season after dropping three of their last four games. The Royals scored just eight total runs in their three-game series with the Orioles. Brad Keller is 1-2 as he toes the rubber for the sixth time this year. Keller has a nifty 1.74 ERA and 0.839 WHIP. He's allowed just one run over his last 13 1/3 innings. Texas is 11-16 after losing yesterday's game to the Yankees 0-1. The Rangers have scored seven runs total over their last four games with all four of those going UNDER. Martin Perez will start today with a 0-2 record but nice 2.25 ERA. Perez has allowed just one run over his last three starts, 20 innings. That includes four walks and 13 KO's. Two poor hitting teams with two very strong starters. Take UNDER |
05-10-22 | Astros v. Twins UNDER 6.5 | 5-0 | Win | 110 | 9 h 2 m | Show
Houston has won seven straight games to improve to 18-10 on the season. During this win streak they have seen their total go under in six of the seven games. They have received stellar pitching, holding their last seven opponents to two runs or fewer. Justin Verlander goes today and he's once again on his game. Verlander is 3-1 in his five starts with a 1.93 ERA and 0.704 WHIP. He's been even better on the road with a 0.90 ERA and 0.650 WHIP in three starts. The Twins have improved to 18-11 with a three-game win streak. They have also received excellent pitching, allowing just four total runs in their three game sweep of the A's. Joe Ryan starts today for the A's. Ryan is 3-1 in his five starts with a 1.63 ERA and 0.831 WHIP. Both pitchers have been excellent, both teams pitching also excellent. I'm taking UNDER. |
05-10-22 | Red Sox v. Braves UNDER 7.5 | 9-4 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 43 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox look to snap a five-game losing streak here today as they sit at just 10-19 overall and in last in the AL East. The Sox offense has been pretty pathetic with just five total runs over their last four games. Garrett Whitlock will start today with a 0-1 record and nice 1.50 ERA in his three starts. The Braves have won two straight games as they look to get back to the .500 mark at 14-16 overall on the season. Kyle Wright is 3-1 in his five starts for the Braves with a 1.74 ERA and 0.968 WHIP. He's been even better at home with a 3-0 mark and 0.47 ERA. Don't look for many runs here today with these pitchers on the hill. Play UNDER. |
05-10-22 | Tigers v. A's UNDER 6.5 | 6-0 | Win | 105 | 3 h 10 m | Show
Early game on the schedule today has game one of their doubleheader between Detroit Tigers and Oakland A's. Detroit is only 8-20 on the season after losing six straight games, including last night's opening game of this series, 0-2. The Tigers have been shut out in two straight games and scored two runs or fewer in six straight games. Tarik Skubal goes today with a 1-2 record and 3.04 ERA. He's held two of his last three opponents to no runs. The A's are just 11-18 and finally broke their nine game losing streak with their win last night. The pitching has been very good, holding their last five opponents to four runs or fewer. Frankie Montas as been good with a 2-2 record in his six starts and a 3.44 ERA. He's been even better at home with a 2.84 ERA. He is coming off a seven inning effort vs Tampa Bay where he gave up four hits and no runs. I look for these teams to continue struggling to score here today. take the UNDER in game one. |
05-09-22 | Rays v. Angels UNDER 7.5 | 3-11 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 6 m | Show
Tampa Bay saw its six-game win streak snapped last night by Seattle, 1-2. The Rays took a 1-0 lead into the bottom of the ninth but got tied in the 9th and lost it in the 10th. The pitching has been very good for the Rays. Jeffrey Springs makes his second start of the season here tonight. Springs went 2 2/3 in his first game, allowing three hits and one run. The LA Angels lead the NL East division. It looks like a two game race with the Astros as no other team is above .500 mark. The Angels beat Washington last night, 5-4. That was their fourth win in their last five games. Their big acquisition in the offseason, Noah Syndergaard hasn't disappointed thus far with a 2-1 record in four starts and a 2.63 ERA and 0.958 WHIP. I look for this to be a low scoring contest here tonight. I'll take the UNDER. |
05-09-22 | A's v. Tigers UNDER 7 | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 7 h 39 m | Show
Two teams in desperate need of a win meet tonight. One of these teams will snap a losing streak while the other will continue with one. The Oakland A's have fallen on hard times, losing nine straight games to a 10-18 record. Paul Blackburn will start tonight and he's been their best with a 3-0 record in five starts and a 2.22 ERA with a 0.945 WHIP. Blackburn has allowed more than two runs in a start just one time and that was last game vs Tampa Bay where he gave up three runs. The Tigers have lost five in a row after the Astros swept a four-game series. The Tigers scored two runs or fewer in each of their four loss to the Astros. In fact, they have scored three runs or fewer in 10 of the last 11 games. Michael Pineda will start today with a 1-1 record in his three starts and a 3.77 ERA. He's been better at home with a 1-0 record in two starts and a 1.93 ERA. This looks to be another low scoring affair. Play UNDER. |
05-08-22 | Tigers v. Astros UNDER 8.5 | 0-5 | Win | 100 | 2 h 52 m | Show
The Detroit Tigers look to snap a four-game losing streak here today and avoid a four-game sweep at the hands of the Astros. Wily Peralta makes his first start today for the Tigers after working 8 1/3 innings in the bullpen and allowing no earned runs. Peralta will have to be very good because the Tigers haven't scored more than two runs in any of the last four games and not more than three in any of the last six. The Houston Astros have a six game winning streak on the line here today. Their pitching has been stellar, allowing two runs or fewer in six straight and seven of the last eight. Jake Odorizzi will make is 6th start today after going 2-2. He has a 4.15 ERA and at home a 3.68 ERA. With the low scores in both these teams games of late, I'll take the UNDER here today. |
05-06-22 | Rockies v. Diamondbacks UNDER 8.5 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 11 h 58 m | Show
The Colorado Rockies improved to 15-10 after winning two straight and five of their last six games. That includes last night's win over the Nationals, 9-7. They hit the road here today to start a series at Arizona Chad Kuhl takes the ball on the hill for the Rocks. Kuhl is 3-0 in his four starts with a nifty 1.90 ERA and 0.845 WHIP. Arizona has been surprisingly good this year in the toughest division in baseball with a 13-13 record. The D'backs are coming off a three-game sweep at Miami. Merrill Kelly gets the start today. Kelly has been very good with a 2-1 record and 1.27 ERA. Four of Kelly's five starts have gone under thanks to him allowing one run or fewer in four of those five starts. Two very good pitchers on the hill today and for me, I'll take the UNDER. |
05-03-22 | Angels v. Red Sox UNDER 8.5 | 0-4 | Win | 100 | 15 h 56 m | Show
The LA Angels are 15-8 and in 1st place in the AL West. The Angels are coming off a win on Sunday over the White Sox, 6-5. That makes them 8-1 over their last nine games. Noah Syndergaard gets the start today and is 2-0 in his three starts with a 2.12 ERA and 0.824 WHIP. The Boston Red Sox have dropped two straight to a 9-14 record. The Sox have received very good pitching, the problem is that haven't scored much either. They have a 2-10-1 O/U/P record over their last 13 games. Michael Wacha gets the start today. Wacha is 2-0 in his four starts with a 1.77 ERA and 0.935 WHIP. Two very good starters today should keep this score very low. Take UNDER. |
05-03-22 | Yankees v. Blue Jays UNDER 8 | 9-1 | Loss | -115 | 15 h 52 m | Show
The NY Yankees continue to be the hottest team in baseball with 10 straight wins to lead the AL East with a 17-6 record. The Toronto Blue Jays are right on their heals with a 15-9 record. You have to go back to April 21 for the last Yankees loss. The Yankees took game one of this series on Monday with a 3-2 win, in what figured to be a low scoring game. Alek Manoah starts for the Jays here today. Manoah is 4-0 in his four starts with a 1.44 ERA and 0.880 WHIP. He is coming off his best start of the season, seven innings against the Red Sox whee he allowed just three hits and no runs. The Yankees will start Jameson Taillon who is 1-1 in his four starts with a 3.26 ERA. He hasn't allowed more than two runs in any of his starts this year. Great pitching matchup with the two best teams in the AL East. Take the UNDER. |
05-03-22 | Twins v. Orioles UNDER 7 | 7-2 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 50 m | Show
The Minnesota Twins took game one of their series with the Orioles on Monday, 2-1. That makes three wins in a row for the Twins who improved to 14-9. The Twins play in the AL Central, a division where they are the only team with a winning record. Joe Ryan starts today with a 3-1 record in his four starts. Ryan has a 1.17 ERA with a 0.696 WHIP. In addition, Ryan has pitched 13 straight scoreless innings with just three total hits, two walks and 14 KO's. The O's dropped to 8-15 with their loss on Monday night. They have also lost six of their last seven games. Bruce Zimmermann has been their best starter this year with a 1-1 record, 0.93 ERA and 1.190 WHIP. He's allowed no runs in three of his four starts this year. Two great pitchers matchup here today and runs should be at a premium. Play UNDER. |
05-02-22 | Braves v. Mets UNDER 7 | 5-2 | Push | 0 | 9 h 10 m | Show
The Atlanta Braves are just 10-13 to start th season after losing two straight games in Texas. The Braves are chasing a very good Mets team in the NL East, now six games back of New York in the standings. Max Fried gets the start today for the Braves. Fried is 2-2 in his four starts with a 3.00 ERA. Fried has been very good of late, allowing just one earned run over his last 13 innings with no walks and 12 KO's. The Amazing Mets are 16-7 after taking two of three from the Phillies. Christ Bassitt has a nice 3-1 record in four starts this year. Bassitt also has a 2.25 ERA and 0.917 WHIP. He is coming off an excellent start where he allowed no runs over six innings to the Cardinals. Look for a top pitching clash here today. I'll take UNDER. |
05-02-22 | Yankees v. Blue Jays UNDER 8.5 | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 7 m | Show
The NY Yankees continue their red-hot streak here today as they begin their series with the Blue Jays. The Yanks have won nine straight games and lead the AL East by 1 1/2 games over the Blue Jays. That makes this series an early season big one to see how the teams matchup when they are both playing well. Jordan Montgomery starts today with a 0-1 record and 2.70 ERA. Montgomery allowed three runs in his opening season game and since they, just three total runs over 16 2/3 innings. The Blue Jays have won two straight games and are right on the Yankees heals. Ross Stripling gets the start today with no record in three starts and a nifty 2.77 ERA. In two home starts he has a 1.00 ERA and 0.778 WHIP. This looks to be the marquee game of the day and for me, I'll take UNDER with these good pitchers. |
05-01-22 | Mariners v. Marlins UNDER 6.5 | 7-3 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 60 m | Show
Seattle looks to snap a four-game losing streak here today as they play their final game of this series with the Marlins. The Mariners have lost both the first two games after Saturday's setback of 1-3. Logan Gilbert looks for his fourth win of the season here today. Gilbert has been the best the M's have had with a 3-0 record after four starts and a blazing, 0.40 ERA and 0.850 WHIP. He gave up one run in his first start and since has allowed no runs over 17 2/3 innings. Meanwhile the Marlins have rattled off seven straight winners to improve to 12-8. They also get one of their best on the hill today in Sandy Alcantara who is 2-0 with a 1.78 ERA in four starts. Two excellent and hot pitchers here today and I'll look for this game to go UNDER. |
05-01-22 | Astros v. Blue Jays UNDER 7.5 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 3 h 57 m | Show
The Houston Astros look to stay above the .500 mark here today in their final game of this series with the Blue Jays. The 11-10 Astros had their four-game win streak snapped on Saturday by the Jays, 1-2. That makes four of the last five games that have gone UNDER. Framber Valdez gets the start today. Valdez is 1-1 in his four starts with a 3.14 ERA. Surprisingly, Valdez has pitched better on the road where he has a 0.57 ERA in his three starts. The Toronto Blue Jays are 14-8 and in 2nd place in the AL East behind the Yankees. Kevin Gausman is 1-1 with a 2.19 ERA this season in his four starts. He also has a nice 1.013 WHIP and has not allowed a walk all season to go with his 35 KO's. Should be a lot of swing and misses in this game with these pitchers going. I'll take the UNDER. |
04-30-22 | Red Sox v. Orioles UNDER 8 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 7 h 54 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox improved to 9-12 with their win over the Orioles on Friday in game one of their series, 3-1. That makes three straight games that the Red Sox have allowed just one run to their opponent. Nathan Eovaldi gets the start today for the Sox. Eovaldi is 1-0 in his four starts with a 3.32 ERA and 1.108 WHIP. The Orioles are 6-14 and now have a five game losing streak. Spenser Watkins will make his fourth start today with no record. Watkins has no record with a 2.77 ERA and 1.231 WHIP. Both pitchers are very good and the Orioles have had issue scoring runs this year. I'll take the UNDER. |
04-30-22 | Twins v. Rays UNDER 7.5 | 9-1 | Loss | -118 | 4 h 60 m | Show
The Minnesota Twins had their seven game win streak snapped last night at Tampa Bay in the first game of their series with the Rays, 1-6. They are 11-9 now and the only team in the AL Central with a winning record. In fact, all the other teams are at least four games below the .500 mark. Chris Archer will start today with no record in three starts. Archer has pitched well though, posting a 3.18 ERA and 1.324 WHIP. He hasn't allowed more than two runs in any of his three starts. The Tampa Bay Rays are 12-8 after winning three straight and five of the last six games. They have held five of their last six opponents to two runs or fewer. Shane McClanahan gets the start today with a 1-1 record and 2.45 ERA. He has allowed just five walks while recording 31 KO's. Both teams have excellent pitching and I'll be playing the UNDER here today. |
04-28-22 | Diamondbacks v. Cardinals UNDER 7.5 | 3-8 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 32 m | Show
The Arizona Diamondbacks are 8-11 on the season after winning their last two games against the Dodgers. The D'backs will send Humberto Castellanos to the hill today. Castellanos is 1-0 in his two starts with a 2.00 ERA and 1.000 WHIP. He's allowed two runs over his 9 innings of total work, five hits, four walks and six KO's. St Louis is 10-7 on the season after snapping a three game win streak on Wednesday, 10-5, over theM Mets. They scored more runs on Wednesday then their last three games combined. The Cardinals have been a good under team though, with a 7-2 O/U record their last nine games. Dakota Hudson starts today with a 1-1 record and 3.95 ERA over his three games. Hudson is coming off an excellent start where he gave up no runs to the Reds over 6 2/3 innings with just two hits. I'm taking the UNDER here this evening. |
04-27-22 | Red Sox v. Blue Jays UNDER 9 | 7-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 34 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox look to snap out their four game losing streak. They have also lost six of their last seven games. Michael Wacha will get the start today. Wacha is 1-0 with a 1.88 ERA over his 19 1/3 innings of work. Wacha has been the one bright spot for the Red Sox this year. Conversely, the Blue Jays have been very good at 12-6 and in 1st place in the AL East. Ross Stripling starts for the Jays who is 0-0 in his two starts with a 3.38 ERA. Stripling should do well against this struggling Red Sox team and Wacha should keep the game close. I'll take the UNDER. |
04-26-22 | Orioles v. Yankees UNDER 8 | 8-12 | Loss | -120 | 6 h 27 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles had their modest 2-game win streak snapped last night in the final game of their series with the Angels, 6-7. The Baltimore bats have come alive finally, scoring 20 runs over the last four games. That more runs then they scored in the previous nine games. Jordan Lyles is 1-1 with a 3.52 ERA this year for the O's. Lyles has been one of their better pitchers. He had a rough start in game one, allowing five runs. However, his last two games he has only give up one run over 10 1/3 innings of work. The NY Yankees have won three straight and five of the last six to improve to 10-6 on the season. The pitching staff has been excellent with the Bullpen having just a 2.44 ERA and at Yankee stadium that goes down to just 1.85 ERA. Luis Severino will get his fourth start for the Yankees tonight. Severino is 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA, four walks and 14 KO's in his 13 innings of work. With two good pitchers and a very good Yankees pen, I'll take the UNDER here today. |
04-25-22 | Dodgers v. Diamondbacks UNDER 9 | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 9 h 23 m | Show
The NL West is arguably the best division in baseball with the Dodgers, Giants and Padres all contenders to go to the World Series. The Dodgers and Giants both have 11 wins while the Padres and Rockies have 10. The Diamondbacks, well they have the misfortune of being in this division and have just six wins. The Dodgers once again have excellent starters and a great bullpen. They have held their last five opponents and 11 of the last 12 to three runs or fewer each game. Walker Buehler will start today at 1-1 on the season after three starts. Buehler has a 4.02 ERA and 1.468 WHIP. He has yet to allow more than three runs in any of his three starts. The D'backs are not one of the better hitting teams in the league, but they have scraped together six wins. At least three of those wins as +1.50 or higher underdogs. Merrill Kelly starts today and he's pitching great for the D'backs. Kelly has a 1-0 record after three starts with a 0.59 ERA and 1.174 WHIP. Kelly has allowed just one run over 15 1/3 innings with six walks and 18 KO's. For me, Kelly should keep this game low scoring and that is a good UNDER play for me tonight. |
04-25-22 | Red Sox v. Blue Jays UNDER 8 | 2-6 | Push | 0 | 7 h 50 m | Show
AL East clash here today has the 7-9 Boston Red Sox taking on the first place Toronto Blue Jays who are 10-6. The Jays are tied with the Yankees for first and have won two straight and four of the five games. They conclude their four game series here tonight and are guaranteed at least a split. Jose Berrios will start his four game here tonight for the Jays. Berrios is 1-0 with a 6.35 ERA and 2.030 WHIP. After a couple of rough starts, Berrios calmed down in game three with six innings of work and only one run. The Boston Red Sox have two in a row and four of their last five. Nathan Eovaldi starts tonight and is 1-0 after three starts with a 3.68 ERA. Eovaldi is coming off his best start too, going 4 2/3 innings and allowing one run. Both pitchers have a excellent start to build off of and tonight I look for the UNDER. |
04-25-22 | Giants v. Brewers UNDER 7 | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 6 h 53 m | Show
The SF Giants have won three games to improve to 11-5 on the season and just behind the Dodgers for the NL West lead by a 1/2 game. The Giants once again have one if not the best pitching staff in baseball, Thy have held Washington to just six total runs and won all three games. Now today they play at Milwaukee to play just one game. The Giants start Sam Long who will likey only go a few innings today. Long has one start and that was just two innings with two hits and no runs. The Brewers have improved to 10-6 after winning two straight games and seven of the last eight. Their Ace, Corbin Burnes goes today. Burnes is 1-0 in his three starts with a 2.37 ERA and 0.789 WHIP. This looks like a great pitching day in Milwaukee. I'll take UNDER. |
04-23-22 | Orioles v. Angels UNDER 8.5 | 5-4 | Loss | -104 | 7 h 55 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles have scored more runs in the last two games (9) then they have in the last four games combined. In fact, the O's have been held to two runs or fewer in nine of their 14 games. Yet, they have won two of their last three games. Spenser Watkins will go today and he has no record in his two starts. Watkins has a terrific ERA of 2.25 over his eight innings of work and a 1.250 WHIP. His one drawback is that he's allowed more walks (4) then he has KO's (2). The Angels had their modest 2-game win streak snapped last night by the O's. They are tied for the most wins (8) in the AL West. One time NY Met, Noah Syndergaard starts tonight and he's been in dominant in the AL as he was in the NL. Sydergaard has a 2-0 record, 1.59 ERA, 0.794 WHIL and has five KO's with two walks. I don't expect Baltimore to get much here tonight against Syndergaard so I'll take the UNDER. |
04-22-22 | Orioles v. Angels UNDER 8.5 | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 7 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles dropped to 4-9 on the season after losing last night at Oakland, 4-6. That game also marked the first time all season that an Orioles game had gone OVER the total. The O's are now 1-11-1 O/U/P on the year. The biggest problem for the O's is the last of hitting. They have scored 3 runs or fewer in 10 of their 13 games this season. Their highest scoring output was just five runs. Bruce Zimmermann will start today. Zimmermann has no record after two starts and he has yet to allow a run over his nine innings of work with four walks and 10 KO's. With the O's lack of hitting and Zim on the mound today, this is an UNDER play for me. |
04-22-22 | Orioles v. Angels UNDER 8.5 | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 3 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles dropped to 4-9 on the season after losing last night at Oakland, 4-6. That game also marked the first time all season that an Orioles game had gone OVER the total. With the O's lack of hitting and Zim on the mound today, this is an UNDER play for me. |
04-22-22 | White Sox v. Twins UNDER 7.5 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 8 h 36 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox look to stay above .500 tonight when the take on the Twins in game one of their three-game set from Minnesota. The Sox have lost four straight games after losing last night at Cleveland, 3-6. They have not scored more than three runs in any of their last seven games. Micheal Kopech gets his third start tonight. Kopech has a 1.00 ERA over nine innings, allowing one run, three hits, four walks and eight KO's. The Twins have sputtered to a 5-8 mark through 13 games. Though they did win last night to salvage a game in their series with the Royals, 1-0. Like the Sox, this team has not hit well at all, scoring one run over their last two games and four runs over the last three games. Bailey Ober is 1-1 in his two starts as he take to the hill tonight for start number three. Ober has a 3.27 ERA over his 11 innings, allowing eight hits, four runs, three walks and seven KO's. With these two poor hitting teams and two decent pitchers I'll take the UNDER. |
04-22-22 | Red Sox v. Rays UNDER 8.5 | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 37 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox have dropped below the .500 mark after losing two straight games and three of their last four. The Sox, like so many other teams, not hitting the ball much early in the season. They have score five runs over their last three games and have five under games in their last six games. Michael Wacha gets the start tonight with no record after two starts. Wacha has pitched well, but is a victim of poor hitting as he has just a 0.96 ERA in his two starts with a 0.857 WHIP. The Tampa Bay Rays are 7-6 overall this season and have lost two of their last two games and three of the last four. Again, a victim of poor hitting, the Rays have scored three runs or fewer in each of their last four games. They have also gone under in five of the last six games. I'm not going to change until I see teams start hitting better. Take the UNDER. |
04-21-22 | Twins v. Royals UNDER 8 | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 1 h 15 m | Show
The Minnesota Twins are just 4-8 after 12 games. The Twins have lost two straight games in this series with the Royals. They are also 1-4 their last five games. Joe Ryan starts today for the Twins. Ryan is 1-1 after two starts with a 2.70 ERA and 1.100 Whip. The Royals got back to the .500 mark after taking the first two games in this series. Zack Grienke will get his third start of the season for the Royals. Grienke is 0-0 with a 2.45 ERA and 1.081 WHIP. This looks to be another low scoring game with two decent pitchers on the hill. I'll take the UNDER |
04-21-22 | White Sox v. Guardians UNDER 8 | 3-6 | Loss | -115 | 2 h 10 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox look to snap a 3-game losing streak here today as they take on the Cleveland Guardians in the final game of their three-game set. The White Sox have scored two total runs in this series. In fact, the Sox have not scored more than three runs in any of the last six games. Dylan Cease will look to get the Sox back winning today. Cease is 2-0 in his two starts with a 1.69 ERA and 0.937 ERA. Cease has 16 KO's and just five walks. The Cleveland Guardians are 6-5 on the season and have won two straight games after a three-game losing streak. The Indians will start Zach Plesac who is 0-1 in his two starts with a 1.64 ERA and 1.00 WHIP. Plesac has seven KO's and just one walk on the season. Two very good pitchers and poor hitting White Sox team is the recipe for an UNDER. |
04-20-22 | Giants v. Mets UNDER 7 | 5-2 | Push | 0 | 5 h 47 m | Show
The SF Giants hot streak has had a hose turned on it after playing the Mets. The Giants have dropped two straight and now are 7-4 on the season. They lost to the Mets in game one yesterday, 4-5 and then lost the 2nd game of the DH, 1-3. Today they send Carlos Rondon to the hill. Rondon is 1-0 in his two starts with a 1.50 ERA and 0.750 WHIP. The Mets are truly amazing with a 9-3 record. Every starting pitcher on the staff has an ERA of 2.50 or under. This is a team filled with great pitching. They send Chris Bassitt to the hill today. Bassitt is 2-0 with a 0.75 ERA and 0.667 WHIP. Two great pitchers today should mean a excellent under chance. |
04-20-22 | Orioles v. A's UNDER 8 | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 4 h 43 m | Show
The Baltimore Orioles are 3-8 to start this new season. The Orioles lack of offense is really showing. They have scored two runs or fewer in five of their last six games and seven of their last nine games. No wonder they have been a great under play for bettors with six straight going under and and 0-1-10 o/u/p on the season. Jordan Lyles will start today. He's 0-1 after two starts with a 5.23 ERA and 1.742 WHIP. Oakland is 7-5 after winning the first two games against the Orioles. Daulton Jefferies will start today with a 1-1 record and 1.93 ERA. Don't expect Baltimore to score much here today if anything. I'll stick with the UNDER. |
04-19-22 | Giants v. Mets UNDER 6.5 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 10 m | Show
Two of the best pitching staffs in baseball meet today in New York as the Mets host the San Francisco Giants in a doubleheader. The Giants are 7-2 and have won five straight games with three of those five going UNDER. Their pitching staff has allowed two runs or fewer in all five of those wins. In fact, they have give up more than two runs just twice the entire season. Logan Webb starts here in game 2 for the Giants. Webb has two starts under his belt and has pitched great in both, allowing just one earned run in each game. That makes him with a 1.29 ERA over 14 innings with nine hits and 10 KO's and just one walk. The Mets are 7-3 (before game one) on the season and like the Giants they don't allow many runs. They have held three opponents scoreless this season and seven of their 10 opponents have scored three or fewer runs. Max Scherzer will toe the rubber here in game two for the Mets. Scherzer is 2-0 in his two starts with a 3.27 ERA and 1.091 WHIP. Scherzer allowed just one run his last start at Philadelphia over five innings with seven KO's and three walks. I'll take the UNDER also in game two. |
04-19-22 | Giants v. Mets UNDER 7 | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 50 m | Show
Two of the best pitching staffs in baseball meet today in New York as the Mets host the San Francisco Giants in a doubleheader. The Giants are 7-2 and have won five straight games with three of those five going UNDER. Their pitching staff has allowed two runs or fewer in all five of those wins. In fact, they have give up more than two runs just twice the entire season. Alex Cobb starts tonight after winning his opener over the Padres. Cobb went five innings and allowed just four hits and two runs to go with 10 KO's. The Mets are 7-3 on the season and like the Giants they don't allow many runs. They have held three opponents scoreless this season and seven of their 10 opponents have scored three or fewer runs. Tylor Megill makes his third start of the season tonight with a 0.00 ERA. He's gong 10 1/3 innings, allowed just six hits and no runs to go with no walks and 11 Ko's. Great matchup on the mound here tonight. Wouldn't be surprised by a 1-0 finish. I'll take the UNDER here in game one. |
04-18-22 | Angels v. Astros UNDER 9 | 3-8 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 36 m | Show
The LA Angels have won three straight games, taking three of four from the Rangers in their series. Now they play at Houston as they sit at 6-4 overall. The Angels will start Michael Lorenzen here today. Lorenzen had an excellent first start, going six innings against the Marlins and allowing just two hits and one run over six innings. In addition, he struck out seven and walked none. The Astros play their first home game of the season after losing two of three at Seattle. The Astros have been a very good under team this year despite going over on Sunday. They are now 3-6 O/U on the season. Luis Garcia starts tonight after going four innings in his opener vs the D'backs. Garcia allowed just two hits and no aruns in a fine performance. I'm looking for this one to get back on the UNDER train tonight. |
04-17-22 | Astros v. Mariners UNDER 7.5 | 2-7 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 25 m | Show
The Houston Astros snapped a two-game losing streak on Saturday with a win over the Mariners, 4-0. The Astros have not been a big hitting team this year, scoring over four runs just one time in their eight games. It's not surprising then that they are 2-6 Over/Under on the short season. Jose Urquidy starts today and had a fine first start. Urquidy went five innings in his first start against the Angels, allowing just four hits and one run. The Mariners dropped to 4-5 on the season with their loss on Saturday. Like the Astros, they have been a good under team going 3-6 O/U on the season. The pitching has been solid, allowing more than four runs just one time. Matt Brash gets the start today. Brash went 5 1/3 innings in his first start against the White Sox, allowing four hits and two runs as he got hit with the loss. Again, two good under teams with two decent pitchers on the mound. I'll take under. |
04-17-22 | Yankees v. Orioles UNDER 8.5 | Top | 0-5 | Win | 100 | 3 h 38 m | Show |
The Yankees improved to 5-4 on the season with their win a Baltimore on Saturday, 5-2. They teams have split the first two game so this series with the rubber match here today. Both games have gone under the total. In fact, The Yankees lack of hitting and decent pitching has resulted in seven of their nine games this year going UNDER the total. Nestor Cortes starts today. He pitched well in his first start against Toronto, going 4 1/3 innings and allowing three hits and no runs. The Orioles are just 2-6 this season and like the Yanks they have been a dead under team with a 0-7-1 O/U/P record. Only The team has scored two runs or fewer in six of their eight games. Bruce Zimmermann starts for the O's after a excellent opening start. Zim went 4 innings and allowed just three hits and not runs to the Brewers. This one looks like another dead under play today. |
04-16-22 | Astros v. Mariners UNDER 7.5 | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 10 h 34 m | Show
The Houston Astros have lost two straight games after winning four of their first five of the season. They dropped Thursday's game to the D'backs, 2-3 and then yesterday's game to the Mariners, 1-11. The Astros had give up 14 runs total in their first six games before allowing 11 runs to Seattle yesterday. Justin Verlander will get his second start of the season today. Verlander took the loss in his opener to the Angels, 0-2, going five innings and allowing three hits and one run. Seattle looks to make it three straight wins here today after dropping four in a row. The Mariners started their fist seven games on the road before returning home yesterday. Chris Flexen went five innings in his first start, allowing five hits and three runs as he took the loss to the Twins. Both pitchers are quality and this one should be very low scoring. I'll take the UNDER. |
04-15-22 | Astros v. Mariners UNDER 8.5 | 1-11 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 23 m | Show
The Houston Astros are off to a 4-2 start to their season after dropping their last game on Wednesday, 2-3 to the Diamondbacks. Aside from one game where they scored 13 runs vs the Angels, this team has scored more than two runs once and more than 3 runs once. They have also gone under in five of their six games. Jake Odorizzi will toe the rubber today, going four innings and allowing six hit and two runs in his first game. The Seattle Mariners are 3-4 after starting the season 2-0. They have received some very good pitching as they have given up more than four runs just twice in their seven games. They have seen five of their seven games go under. Marco Gonzalez will start for the M's. Gonzales lost his opening game to the Twins, 4-10, allowing six of those runs in just two innings. I expect Gonzales to improve today now that has a start under his belt. Both teams have been under teams so far. I'm sticking with that here today. Play the UNDER. |
04-15-22 | Diamondbacks v. Mets UNDER 8 | 3-10 | Loss | -105 | 2 h 27 m | Show
Early game on the schedule today has the Arizona Diamondbacks taking on the Mets. Arizona has struggled to a 2-4 start to their season and that isn't good considering they play in arguably the best division in baseball, the NL West. The D'back won their opening game, then dropped four straight before winning on Wednesday against the Astros, 3-2. Zach Davies gets the call to the mound today for the D'backs. Davies pitched well in his opener and got a no decision for his effort. Davies went five innings, allowed four hits and two runs against the Padres which the D'backs eventually lost, 2-5. The NY Mets are off to a nice 5-2 start and have to be considered a favorite to win the division. The Mets are a great pitching team, in fact all five starters have a ERA of 3.27 or less this year. Today's starter, Chris Bassitt went six strong innings in his opening game against the Nationals. Bassitt allowed just three hits and no runs to go with eight KO's and one walk. I don't see the D'back light hitting team getting much today if not shut out entirely. Take the UNDER. |
04-14-22 | Braves v. Padres UNDER 8 | 1-12 | Loss | -120 | 9 h 29 m | Show
The Braves and Padres begin a four game set here today in San Diego. The Braves are 3-4 to start their season, splitting four games with the Reds and then dropping two of three to the Nationals. Charlie Morton makes his second start after a nice 5 1/3 inning performance against the Reds. Morton got the win as he allowed just two hits and two runs. The Padres dropped to 4-3 after losing two of their three games in San Franciso. The Padres were held to just seven total runs in the series. The Padres have received excellent pitching with the exception of the 13 runs they allowed to the Giants in one game. The have also gone under in five of their seven games thus far. Joe Musgrove makes his second start after a nice 6 inning, five hit and 2 run performance against thee D'Back. Both pitchers are very good and I like the UNDER here today. |
04-14-22 | Phillies v. Marlins UNDER 8 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 59 m | Show
The Philadelphia Phillies are 3-3 to start the season. After a 3-1 start they dropped their last two games to the Mets. They have a 2-3-1 O/U record. Kyle Gibson gets his second start after a beauty in game one. Gibson went seven strong innings against the A's, allowing just two hits and not runs to go with 10KO's and No Walks. The Marlins are 1-4, losing their last three games. The Marlins offense has not been good, scoring over three runs just one time and that was an opening day loss to the Giants, 5-6. They have gone under in their last four games as the pitching as been strong. Sandy Alcantara went five innings in the opener, allwoing three hits and two earned runs. Both pitchers are very good and the way the Marlins are hitting I'll take under in this game. |
04-13-22 | Mariners v. White Sox UNDER 9 | 4-6 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 22 m | Show
The mariners are 2-3 after starting the season 2-0. They dropped the last two of their series with the Twins and then lost the opener of this series with the White Sox, 2-3. They have gone under in four of their five games with good pitching and not much hitting by the Mariners. The White Sox are 3-1 on the season and 2-2 over/under. Robbie Ray starts for the M's. He had a very good start to the season, going seven innings and allowing just three hits and one run to the Twins. Dallas Keuchel makes his first start of the season for the White Sox. Keuchel was 9-9 last season with a 5.28 ERA. I like today's game to go under with the Mariners poor hitting and good pitching. Take UNDER. |
04-13-22 | Brewers v. Orioles UNDER 8 | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 8 m | Show
The Brewers off to a slow start this season at 1-3 after dropping two of three at the Cubs and then losing their opening at Baltimore, 0-2. The Brewers have been shut out in two of their four games thus far. The Brewers will return to their Ace here today in Corbin Burnes. Burnes has one start this year and he has no record with a 5.40 ERA in the team's opening game against the Cubs. Burnes went five innings and allowed four hits and three runs with three walks - not a performance we have been accustomed to from Burnes. Baltimore got its first win of the season in this opener against the Brewers. The O's got swept at Tampa Bay in the three game series, scoring a total of four runs. John Means will start today. Means had a very good start vs the Rays, going four innings and allowing just one run with five KO's and one walk. Today runs look to be at a premium with Burnes on the hill. I'll take Under. |
04-13-22 | Padres v. Giants UNDER 7.5 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 6 h 48 m | Show
Early afternoon game here in the NL West as the Giants host the Padres. The NL West looks to be one of if not the best division in baseball with these two teams and the Dodgers. The Padres are 4-1 after losing their opening game of the season to the D'back they have won four straight games. The pitching has been awesome, allowing to runs or fewer in three of five games. Sean Manaea will start for the Padres with a 1-0 record in one start with a 0.00 ERA and 0.14 WHIP. Manaea was nearly perfect in his opening start, going seven innings against the D'backs. He allowed no runs and no hits over those seven innings with seven KO's and one Walk. The Giants are 2-2 after four games, losing the opener of this series last night, 2-4. They have gone under in three of their four games. The offense hasn't been good of late, scoring six runs over the last three games. Logan Webb looked excellent in his start vs the Marlins, going six innings and allowing just one run and five hits. Two excellent pitchers and two great bullpens. I'll take UNDER. |
04-11-22 | Padres v. Giants OVER 8.5 | Top | 4-2 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 16 m | Show |
The San Diego Padres opened the season in fine form by taking three of four games in Arizona. The final on Sunday had them blowout the D'backs, 10-5. The Giants had a much more difficult series with the pesky Miami Marlins. While they took two of three from Miami, all three games where decided by just one run and Friday's game the Giants had to come from behind to win in extra innings. Nick Martinez takes the hill for the Padres today. Martinez returns to the MLB after four seasons in Japan where he starred for the Fukuoka Hawks, posting a 1.62 ERA last season. His last year in the MLB came in 2017 where he went 17-30 with a 4.77 era in four seasons with the Rangers. Alex Wood toes the rubber for the Giants. Wood had a very good season last year in his first with the Giants, posting a 10-4 record and 3.83 ERA. I'm not sold on Martinez back in the US after what wasn't a very good stint in his last try. I'll take the OVER here today. |
04-10-22 | Marlins v. Giants UNDER 8 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 14 m | Show
Both first two games in this series have been nail biters, with the Giants taking game one 6-5 in 10 innings. The Marlins beat the Giants on Saturday, 2-1 in a great pitchers duel. Both pitching staffs had 14 KO's in Saturday's contest. Trevor Rogers will start for the Marlins. Rogers was 7-8 last season with a very good 2.64 ERA and 1.15 WHIP. The Giants will turn to Anthony DeSaclafani who was 13-7 last year with a 3.17 ERA and 1.09 WHIP. Both starters are very good, both pens are good, this looks like a UNDER to me. |
04-10-22 | Mariners v. Twins UNDER 8.5 | 4-10 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 20 m | Show
The Mariners and Twins play the third game of their four game set here on Sunday. Seattle has won both games, 2-1 on Friday and 4-3 yesterday. Both games going under as both teams getting fine pitcher performances. The M's will send Marco Gonzales to the hill today. Gonzales had a fine campaign last season at 10-6 with a 3.96 ERA and 1.17 WHIP. The Twins will send Bailey Ober to the hill in search of that first win of the season. Ober was 3-3 last year with a 4.19 ERA and 1.20 WHIP. So far runs have come at a premium in this series and I don't see that changing here today. I' sticking with the UNDER. |
04-08-22 | Mariners v. Twins UNDER 8 | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 3 h 14 m | Show
This game was supposed to be played yesterday, but was postponed due to bad weather. Seattle was a surprise team last year, finishing second in the AL West and barely missing the postseason after winning 90 games. Lefthander Robbie Ray starts for the Mariners today. The 10-year veteran begins his first year as a Mariner after a 13-7 season last year with the Blue Jays. The Twins have nowhere to go but up after finishing last in the division last year. Both these teams had issue scoring runs last year. Both these teams were also good under teams at the end of last year. I'm going to take the UNDER in what looks to be a cold Minnesota day. |
10-30-21 | Astros v. Braves OVER 8.5 | 2-3 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 9 m | Show
World Series game 3 was the first game to go under. Game one was a push, game two was the over and game three under. Tonight, Zack Greinke goes for the Astros. Greinke made his first start in a month when he started vs the Red Sox in the ALCS. However, he went only 1 1/3 innings and allowed one hit and that was a two-run home run. With Charlie Morton out for the rest of the World Series, the Braves look like they are turning to Jess Chavez here tonight. Chavez has only been in four games since September and those were just openers when he did start. He started in LA in the NLCS and went one inning and gave up no runs. If he goes tonight it will be another 1 to 2 inning outing. I'll take the OVER tonight as the one looks to go to the pens early. Play OVER. |
10-27-21 | Braves v. Astros OVER 8.5 | Top | 2-7 | Win | 100 | 6 h 13 m | Show |
The Braves took game one of the World Series here on Tuesday night, 6-2. The total was a push for the over/under players. Tonight, the Astros looks to salvage one of the two home games. For me, I'm returning to the total here tonight. The Astros held to their lowest total so far in the playoffs last night. They have been a big scoring team in these playoffs, so this was unusual. Tonight, Max Fried takes the hill for the Braves. He's been very good, but had one of his worst outings last time out in the NLCS vs the Dodgers, going just 4 2/3 innings and allowing eight hits and five runs. Jose Urquidy will counter for the Astros, He also is coming off a poor start vs the Red Sox in the ALCS, going just 1 2/3 innings and allowing five earned runs and five hits. I don't expect the Astros to be held in check every game here and tonight I look for a higher scoring contest. Play the OVER. |
10-23-21 | Dodgers v. Braves OVER 8 | 2-4 | Loss | -120 | 2 h 24 m | Show
There is still life in the Dodgers. Chris Taylor hit three homes to power the Dodgers to a big win in game five and keep them alive. Officially they still haven't announced a starter here today. It looked to be Max Scherzer, but mayber he'll be held out and they will be do the opener again and see how the flow of the game goes. If they are ahead it might be the bullpens game. IF they are tied or close, we could see Scherzer come in. They would love to hold him back, get a win today and then start him in game seven. But what good is he if you lose today. The Dodgers finally settled late on Saturday on Walker Buehler. He is coming off a rough start against Atlanta, going just 3 2/3 innings with four runs allowed. The Braves counter with Ian Anderson who has pitched well of late, going 4-0 with a 3.89 ERA. I'm going to take the OVER here tonight. |
10-22-21 | Red Sox v. Astros OVER 8.5 | Top | 0-5 | Loss | -115 | 19 h 21 m | Show |
Boston has their backs against the wall here on Friday as they face elimination in the ALCS. They trail the Houston Astros 2-3 as we play games 5 and 6 in Texas. The Astros took the last two games in Boston by a combined 18-3 score, with both game just getting over. The Red Sox will turn their best pitcher of late, Nathan Eovaldi. Eovaldi won the Wild Card game over the Yankees and then had a no decision in his one Tampa Bay start and beat the Astros. He's allowed six runs in his 15 2/3 innings of work in the playoffs. Houston will start Luis Garcia who faced off against Eovaldi in their last game. He only went one inning and allowed two hits and five runs, one of those a grand slam. He's now allowed 10 runs in just 3 2/3 innings of playoff work. I'm going to stick with what's worked and that's the OVER. |
10-21-21 | Braves v. Dodgers OVER 8 | 2-11 | Win | 100 | 7 h 23 m | Show
I'm very surprised at how the LA Dodgers have performed in this NLCS. It almost appears that the Giants series just took everything out of them. They have lost that excellent pitching they have had all year and even into the Wild Card and NLDS series. They have made errors and mental base running errors too. Now they are down 1-3 in this series as the Braves won again on Wednesday, 9-2. LA Likely will go with a opener here tonight so they are undecided at this moment. Max Fried goes for the Braves and I have been high on him all season long. The Dodgers will need some coaching overahaul during the offseason I'm afraid as Roberts just isn't the right fit for a team of this magnitude. He was quick to pull Scherzer when he was in a 1-1 game but left in Urias when he obviously was having problems. Those kinds of decisions will get this game OVER tonight. |
10-20-21 | Astros v. Red Sox OVER 9.5 | 9-1 | Win | 100 | 6 h 19 m | Show
If had a ticket on the UNDER 10 in yesterday's game you might still be shaking your head this morning. Going into the 9th inning these teams were tied 2-2 and was playing like a dead under. However, the Astros put up a 7-spot on the board in the top half of the inning to get the game over. They also tied the series at 2-2. Framber Valdez starts today after a horrid start last Friday vs the Red Sox. Valdez went just 2 2/3 innings, allowed six hits and three walks for three runs. He'll face Chris Sale who he faced in last Friday's contest. Sale didn't fare much better, also going 2 2/3 innings, allowing five hits and one run. I've been on the over in this series and I'm sticking with that here today. Play Over. |
10-19-21 | Astros v. Red Sox OVER 10 | Top | 9-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 33 m | Show |
If you didn't know better you might think that the Boston Red Sox know what pitches the Houston Astros pitchers are throwing. Well, that could very well be the case as some are saying the Astros pitchers are tipping their pitches before throwing them. IT sure looks that way since the Red Sox once again pounded the ball with their their grand slam in just three games with the Astros on Monday night. The Red Sox taking a 2-1 lead in this series with a 12-3 Monday win. That makes 21 runs by the Red Sox in just the last two games. For me, I've been on the OVER in all three games and all three have been winners. Zack Greinke makes his first start for the Astros tonight since September 19th. That could be good or bad and I believe it's the latter and not former. Nick Pivetta toes the rubber for the Sox with a 9-8 record and 4.50 ERA. I'm sticking with what's working. Take the OVER. |
10-18-21 | Astros v. Red Sox OVER 9 | 3-12 | Win | 100 | 20 h 59 m | Show
This ALCS best of seven returns to Boston for game three here on Monday. So far this series has pretty much been just what I thought it would be, a high scoring match. Both games have gone over thus far, with Houston winning game one 5-4 and losing game two, 5-9. Jose Urquidy will start for the Astros today. Urquidy is 8-3 on the season and has a 3.62 ERA. He hasn't started since October 3 vs Oakland, so this will be his first postseason start. Eduardo Rodriquez will go for the Sox, with a 12-9 record this year and 4.79 ERA. He did pitch against Tampa Bay in the ALDS and went five innings and allowed two runs. He hasn't pitched all that well at Fenway, going 4-4 in 14 starts with a 5.78 ERA. I'm sticking with what has worked for me in this series. Take the OVER. |
10-15-21 | Red Sox v. Astros OVER 8.5 | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 5 h 24 m | Show
The Boston Red Sox shocked everyone with a win in the ALDS over the team with the best record in the A.L. this year, Tampa Bay. After losing game one of the ALDS to the Rays, 0-5, they reeled-off three straight wins, scoring 26 runs in the process. Houston advances to the ALCS after beating the White Sox in four games. They also had a big hitting series with 31 runs over their four wins. Houston starts Framber Valdez here tonight in game one. Valdez was 11-6 this season with a 3.30 ERA. He's been slightly worse of late, going 3-2 with a 4.17 ERA over his last seven starts. Chris Sale gets the start for the Red Sox. Sale was 5-1 in his 10 starts with a 4.12 ERA. He wasn't very good in his four road starts where he went 0-1 with a 7.37 ERA. He allowed four hits and five runs to the Rays in the ALDS, going just one inning. I look for both teams to continue their big hitting ways in this series too. Play the OVER. |
09-23-21 | Dodgers v. Rockies UNDER 10.5 | 7-5 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 21 m | Show
Dodgers dropped to 2-games back of the Giants with a loss last night to Colorado coupled with the SF win at San Diego. The Dodgers will send their best and red-hot starter Max Scherzer to the hill. Scherzer has been amazing, allowing just two total runs over his last six starts. His ERA over his last seven starts, a paltry 0.57 with a team record 7-0. The Rockies will start their best pitcher here today in Kyle Freeland. Freeland is 6-8 on the season with a 4.50 ERA. He's been slightly better of late with a 3-2 record and 4.21 ERA. He's also coming off a six inning, no run performance against Washington. Bad spot here for Freeland going up against the hottest pitcher in baseball. I'll take the UNDER. |
09-21-21 | Mariners v. A's OVER 8.5 | 5-2 | Loss | -114 | 9 h 9 m | Show
While the Seattle Mariners and Oakland A's are pretty much done for the AL West title, both teams still in the hunt for a Wild Card. Right now, the A's are 4th in the Wild Card race, 2-games back, while the Mariners are fifth at 3-games back. So it's a jumble between all five teams in the Wild Card with three teams missing out. Marco Gonzales starts today for the M's with a 8-5 record and 3.98 ERA. He's been slightly worse on the road where he is 4-3 with a 4.39 ERA. The A's will send Paul Blackburn to the hill. Blackburn is 1-2 in his six starts with a 4.94 ERA. I don't expect either starter to be very effective tonight. I'll just take the OVER in this one. |
09-21-21 | Astros v. Angels OVER 9 | 10-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 7 m | Show
Houston has a comfortable 7-game lead in the AL West over the Oakland A's and 8-games over the Mariners. They have won seven of their last 10 games and two in a row. They face the fourth place Angels today who are on a four-game losing streak and have also lost seven of their last 10 games. Jose Urquidy starts for the Houston and is having a fine season with a 7-3 record and 3.38 ERA. He's been better of late, going 3-0 with a 2.78 ERA in his last seven starts. In fact, he hasn't allowed over two runs in any of his last six starts. Packy Naughton makes only his fourth start for the Angels. Naughton is 0-2 with a 5.56 ERA. Naughton won't likely be around long, going past the fourth inning just once thus far and that was five innings. The Astros should score at will here today and may get this game over by themselves. Play the OVER. |
09-21-21 | Pirates v. Reds UNDER 9 | 6-2 | Win | 100 | 6 h 9 m | Show
The Cincinnati Reds still have a shot at that 2nd Wild Card spot. They trail the Cardinals by three-games for that playoff position. The Padres are one game back of the Reds and the Phillies 1.5-games back. So these games against the last place Pirates are important. Mitch Keller starts today for the Pirates with a 4-11 mark. He has a overall ERA of 6.14, but has been much better of late. Keller has a 4.80 ERA over his last seven starts and allowed six runs over his last 16 innings. Tyler Mahle will toe the rubber for the Reds. Mahle is 12-5 with a 3.58 ERA. He's been better of late, going 3-2 with a 3.02 ERA over his last seven starts. I'm going to take the UNDER here today with two decent starters. |
09-20-21 | Rangers v. Yankees UNDER 8.5 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 7 h 55 m | Show
If the NY Yankees hope to make the postseason they will have to better then they have of late. The New York Yankees are now 1.5-games back of that final Wild Card playoff spot in the American League. They have lost two straight games and are 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Yankees will look to get a bit closer on the back of today's young start, Nestor Cortes. Cortes is 2-2 on the season with an overall 2.70 ERA. What impresses me is that in his 11 starts he's allowed three runs or fewer in 10 of those outings. And, in that other start, just four runs. Today, the Yankees will face Rangers starter A.J. Alexy who is 2-0 in his two starts with a 0.00 ERA. Alexy has look excellent, allowing just two total hits over his 11 innings with five walks and 11 KO's. I'm impressed with both these young starters and if they hold form this game will be an under. Play UNDER |
09-19-21 | Indians v. Yankees UNDER 8.5 | 11-1 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 1 m | Show
The Yankees have now dropped to 9-games back of the Rays in the AL East and 4th overall in the division. They are just a 1/2 game back in the Wild Card race so they need to win. The Indians are 11 games back in the AL Central and 10 back in the Wild Card. Eli Morgan starts for the Indians. He's had a tough season at 2-7 and a 6.03 ERA. However, his six starts on the road haven't been bad at 1-1 with a 3.31 ERA. Gerrit Cole goes the Yankees. Cole is 15-7 with a 2.75 ERA. He's allowed just four runs over his last five starts (27 2/3 innings). Don't see Cleveland getting much if anything here today. Play the UNDER. Â Â Â |
09-17-21 | Phillies v. Mets UNDER 7.5 | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 21 m | Show
The Phillies and Mets both fighting for that last NL Wildcard slot. The Phillies in better position though as they are just 2.5-games back of St Louis while the Mets are 5-games back. The Phils are 3-games back of the Braves for the NL East lead while the Mets are 5.5-games back. The Mets will try to snap a 3-game losing skid here tonight. They will send All-Star pitcher Taijuan Walker to the hill. Walker is 7-9 overall with a 4.24 ERA. He's been better at home with a 4-3 record and 3.41 ERA in 13 starts. Philly will send Zack Wheeler to the mound. Wheeler is 13-9 on the season with a nifty 2.86 ERA. He's allowed only one run over his last two starts (12 2/3 innings). I look for this game to be a close, low scoring affair. Take UNDER. |
09-15-21 | Yankees v. Orioles UNDER 10 | Top | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 4 h 3 m | Show |
The Yankees have been slumping and it's seen them fall from 2nd to tied for 3rd with the Blue Jays in the AL East. They are in a dog fight for one of those AL Wildcard spots with the Jays and Red Sox. The Yankees start Nestor Cortes today who is 2-2 in his 10 starts with a nifty 2.85 ERA. He's allowed more than three runs just one time in his 10 starts. John Means will toe the rubber for the O's with a 5-7 record and 3.42 ERA. Means has allowed two runs in each of his last three starts and that includes against these Yankees on Sept 3 in a 3-4 no decision. Both pitchers are very good and should keep this score in check. Play the UNDER. |
09-14-21 | Marlins v. Nationals OVER 8.5 | 2-8 | Win | 100 | 2 h 29 m | Show
Miami Marlins are 6-4 in their last 10 games and look to extend their win streak to two games here tonight. The Marlins beat the Nationals on Monday night, 3-0. The will send Jesus Luzardo to the hill tonight. Luzardo is 4-6 on the season with a 6.25 ERA. He's been way worse on the road, posting a 0-2 record and a 9.64 in three away starts. The Nats will counter with Erick Fedde tonight. Fedde is 6-9 with a 5.31 ERA. He's been slightly worse of late with a 6.03 ERA and 2-2 record. Both starters likely not around long in this one. I'll take the OVER. |
09-09-21 | Royals v. Orioles UNDER 8.5 | Top | 6-0 | Win | 107 | 7 h 18 m | Show |
The Kansas City Royals look to snap a 2-game losing streak here tonight against the Baltimore Orioles. These teams play the fourth game of their set with the Royals taking game one and then losing the next two. Carlos Hernandez will start tonight for the Royals. Hernandez is 4-1 in his eight starts with a 3.11 ERA. He's been good in his two road starts, going 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA. John Means starts today for the O's with a 5-6 record and 3.47 ERA. Means has not allowed more than three runs in any of his last three starts. I like this game to go under the total tonight. Play UNDER. |
09-03-21 | Twins v. Rays OVER 9 | 3-5 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 10 m | Show
The AL Central last place Minnesota Twins take on the AL East leading Tampa Bay Rays here tonight. The Twins lost both games of their 2-games series with the Cubs and have split their last six games. The Rays saw their 9-game winning streak come to an end against the Boston Red Sox. They lost the last two games to the Sox as they still lead the Yankees by 6.5-games in the LA East. The Twins start Randy Dobnak tonight. Dobnak is 1-3 in his five starts with a 6.25 ERA. Michal Wacha starts for the Rays. Wacha is 2-4 on the season with a 4.93 ERA. He's been slightly worse of late, going 0-2 over his last seven starts with a 6.48 ERA. I'm going to take the OVER here today. |
09-02-21 | Brewers v. Giants UNDER 7.5 | 1-5 | Win | 100 | 4 h 12 m | Show
The San Francisco Giants have given up first place in the NL West to the Dodgers. The Giants are now a half game back of the Dodgers. The Giants can thank a four-game losing skid for the drop. The Giants offense has gone South too, with just five total runs over their last games. The Brewers have taken the first three games of this four-game set with dominating pitching. Eric Lauer starts today for the Brewers with a 4-5 record and 3.20 ERA. He's been better of late, going 2-2 with a 2.04 ERA. The Giants will try and stop their skid with one of their best pitchers in Logan Webb. Webb is 8-3 on the season with a 2.67 ERA. He's been great at home with a 5-09 record and 1.75 ERA. I can't play the Giants, but I do like the UNDER here tonight. |
08-31-21 | Braves v. Dodgers UNDER 7.5 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 21 m | Show |
The Dodgers edge ever closer to the Giants for 1st place in the NL West. LA is now 1.5 games back after beating Atlanta on Monday. The Dodgers have won seven of their last 10 games. The Atlanta Braves are still in 1st place in the AL East, 3.5 games ahead of the Philadelphia Phillies. The Braves are the only team in the East with a positive differential number of +90. The Dodgers are a MLB best +211 run differential. Charlie Morton starts today for the Braves with a 12- record and 3.54 ERA. He's been slightly better on the road where he is 7-2 with a 2.94 ERA. The Dodgers will start Walker Buehler who is 13-2 on the season with a nifty 2.02 ERA. He's been great of late, going 3-1 with a 1.13 ERA over his last seven starts. Tough side to call here, so I'll stick with the total. Play UNDER. |
08-28-21 | Giants v. Braves UNDER 9 | 5-0 | Win | 100 | 19 h 22 m | Show
The SF Giants have been hot, but the Dodgers even hotter. The 1st place Giants have seen their lead in the NL West shrink to just 1.5-games after losing to the Braves in game one of their set on Friday, 5-6. That loss snapped a five game win streak for the Giants. The Braves are also in 1st place in the their division, the NL East. They lead the Phillies by 6-games. The Braves had won nine-games in a row before they ran into the NY Yankees buzzsaw. The Yankees took both games vs the Braves so it was nice to get back to the winning ways here last night over the Giants. The Giants will start Logan Webb. Webb is 7-3 on the season with a nifty 2.87 ERA. He's been even better of late, going 3-0 with a 1.91 ERA over his last seven starts. The Braves will start Huascar Ynoa tonight. Ynoa is 4-3 with a nice 2.95 ERA. His home ERA is slightly better at 2.15. I like both these teams to be in a pitcher's battle tonight. I'll take the UNDER. |
08-28-21 | Cardinals v. Pirates UNDER 8.5 | Top | 13-0 | Loss | -106 | 19 h 7 m | Show |
The Cardinals and Pirates play game three of their set here tonight from Pittsburgh. The Pirates took game one on Thursday, 11-7 and the Cards took last night's game, 4-3. Adam Wainwright starts for the Cardinals tonight. Wainwright is 12-7 with a 3.10 ERA. He's been very good of late, posting a 5-1 record and 1.76 ERA and 0.843 WHIP over his last seven starts. The Bucs will start Steven Brault who is 0-2 in his four starts but has a nice 1.93 ERA. All four of Brault's games have gone UNDER. I like both these pitchers here tonight and I will take the UNDER. |
08-20-21 | Braves v. Orioles OVER 10 | 3-0 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 39 m | Show
The Atalanta Braves are in 1st place in the NL East, thanks in big part to their six-game win streak and winning nine of their last 10 games. Today, they play an IL Game against the worst team in the junior circuit. Baltimore is just 38-82 on the season and has lost 15 straight games. Max Fried gets the start for the Braves with a 10-7 record and 3.86 ERA. He's been even better of late, going 5-2 with a 2.36 ERA over his last seven starts. Keegan Akin still looking for his first win of the year for the O's with a 0-7 record in his 10 starts. He has a lofty 9.29 ERA and as hard as it is to believe it's even worse of late with a 0-6 record and 12.67 ERA over his last seven starts. Take this game over in what should be a wide open affair. |
08-18-21 | Red Sox v. Yankees OVER 10 | 2-5 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 28 m | Show
The Red Sox have lost two straight games and that has dropped them to 5-games back of the Rays in the AL East. The Yankees 5-game win streak has moved them into a 2nd place tie with the Yankees and 1 percentage point ahead of them though both teams are 5-back in the race. Nick Pivetta starts for the Red Sox with a 9-5 record and 4.20 ERA on the season. Andrew Heaney will counter for the Yankees. Heaney is 7-8 on the season with a 5.78 ERA. He's been slightly worse of late, going 3-2 with a 6.51 ERA over the last seven games. The Yankees have taken that 2nd Wild Card spot away from the Red Sox, at least for now. I look for a high scoring game here today. Play the OVER. |
08-18-21 | Blue Jays v. Nationals OVER 9 | 5-8 | Win | 100 | 4 h 29 m | Show
Interleague action here on Wednesday has the Toronto Blue Jays taking on the Nationals from Washington DC. The Blue Jays are dropping in the AL East, losing six of their last 10 games has them now 9-games back in the division. The Jays lost to the Nationals on Tuesday, 6-12. Toronto has gone over in five of their last six games. Jose Berrios starts for the Jays today. Berrios is 8-6 with a 3.52 ERA on the season. Josiah Gray starts for the Nationals. Gray is 0-1 in his three starts with a 3.15 ERA. Washington is 8-1-1 O/U in their last 10 games as a home dog. These teams have gone over three times in their last four meetings with one pushing. I'm taking the OVER here today. |
08-13-21 | Cubs v. Marlins UNDER 7.5 | 10-14 | Loss | -120 | 7 h 55 m | Show
The Chicago Cubs cleaned house at the trade deadline and it shows, now having lost eight straight games and 18.5-games back of 1st place Milwaukee. The Marlins are in last place in the NL East, 12-games back of the Phillies. The Marlins lost two of three to the Padres, taking the final game last night 7-0. Adbert Alzolay will start for the Cubs with a 4-12 record and 4.71 ERA. He's 1-7 on the road this year with a 5.06 ERA. However, he's did come off a very good start vs the White Sox, allowing just two runs over 6 2/3 innings. Jesus Luzardo will start for the Marlins. Luzardo is 2-4 in his eight starts with a 6.69 ERA. He's been better at home with a 2-2 record and 4.95 ERA. The Cubs offense has not been good since losing their biggest offensive stars. Despite two poor starters, I'm going to take the UNDER here tonight. Play UNDER. |
08-09-21 | Yankees v. Royals OVER 10 | Top | 8-6 | Win | 100 | 4 h 19 m | Show |
The Yankees trying to get back into the AL East race, now trail 1st place Tampa Bay by 6.5 games. They have won eight of their last 10 games, but so have the Rays. He's slightly worse on the road where he is 3-3 with a 5.27 ERA. Carlos Hernandez will start for the Royals. Hernandez is 2-1 in his four starts with a 3.57 ERA. He is 1-1 at home with a 4.26 ERA. |||||||
08-07-21 | Angels v. Dodgers UNDER 8.5 | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 10 h 4 m | Show
Freeway series here has the LA Angels at Chavez Ravine to take on their cross-town rivals, LA Dodgers. Can't say both teams having same success this year. The Angels are in 4th place in the AL West with a 56-54 record. They have won four straight games though. The Dodgers are 65-45 and in 2nd in the NL West, 4-games back of the Giants. The Angels will start Jaime Barria who is 2-0 in his only two starts this year. Barria has allowed just two runs over 13 2/3 innings for a 1.32 eRA and 0.805 WHIP. The Dodgers will start Julio Urias who is 13-3 on the season with a 3.40 ERA and 3.88 ERA at home this year. If Barria pitches the way he has in his first two starts, this has the makings of a excellent pitcher's duel tonight. I'll take the UNDER between these two starters. Play UNDER. |
08-04-21 | Orioles v. Yankees OVER 9.5 | 3-10 | Win | 101 | 5 h 27 m | Show
The Yankees have won seven of their last 10 games and still sit 6-games back of the Rays in the AL East. They demolished the Orioles on Tuesday, 13-1 after losing the opening game of the set, 1-7. The Orioles are last in the division, 25-games back. They also have the worst run differential in the AL with a -143 runs. Matt Harvey starts today with a 6-10 season record and 6.20 ERA. Jameson Taillon will go for the Yanks with a 7-4 record and 4.11 ERA. Both starters have been doing good lately, but I'm still going with the OVER as both pens are suspect. Play OVER. |
07-31-21 | A's v. Angels UNDER 10.5 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 5 h 48 m | Show
The Oakland A's win over the Angels on Friday extended their win streak to three games. They still trail the Houston Astros by 5.5-games. The Angels have lost two straight games and are 12.5-games back of the Astros. Cole Irvin starts for the A's with a 7-9 record and 3.62 ERA. He's been better of late, going 3-2 with a 3.46 ERA over his last seven starts. Jaime Barria will toe the rubber for the Halos. Barria has only one start and that was a win last week at Minnesota where he allowed four hits and two runs over seven innings. Good first start for Barria. In fact, both these pitchers look very good. I'm taking the UNDER tonight. |
07-30-21 | Rockies v. Padres UNDER 8.5 | 9-4 | Loss | -106 | 9 h 38 m | Show
The Colorado Rockies looking towards next year as they sit 20.5-games back of the Giants in the West. The Rockies have lost two straight and six of their last 10 games. They will face the 3rd place Padres. The Padres have a excellent 60-55 record that would be good for 1st place in most divisions, but in the NL West it's 3rd place, 5.5-games back. Colorado starts Jon Gray who is 6-6 on the season with a 3.76 ERA. The Padres counter with Ryan Weathers, who is 2-1 in 12 starts with a 3.02 ERA. Both pitchers are good and I'll be on the under tonight. Play UNDER. |

Interleague action today has the St Louis Cardinals playing at the Cleveland Indians. The Cardinals are 51-50, finally climbing back over the .500 mark. They have won seven of their last 10 games. The Cleveland Indians may be in 2nd in the AL Central, but they trail first place Chicago by 9.5-games. Kwang-Hyun Kim will start for the Cards. Kim is 6-5 on the season with a 2.88 ERA. HE's been even better of late with a 5-1 mark and 1.88 ERA. The Indians will start Zach Plesac. Plesac is 5-3 on the season with a 4.30 ERA. Neither pitcher is one I expect to be around much past the 5th inning here today. I'll take the over and look for runs scored today. Play OVER. |
07-25-21 | Tigers v. Royals OVER 10 | Top | 1-6 | Loss | -104 | 3 h 36 m | Show |
The Detroit Tigers have lost two straight, including Saturday's game to the Royals. Still, they are 7-3 their last 10 games. The Royals have now won four straight games, still 16-games back in the AL Central. The Tigers will start Tarik Skubal today with a 6-7 record and 4.25 ERA. He's been a bit worse on the road with a 5.45 ERA. Daniel Lynch will go for the Royals. Lynch is 0-2 in his three starts with a 15.73 ERA. Not sure how much longer they will go with this guy the way he's pitching. However, for me, this means a great over play today. Take OVER. |
07-24-21 | White Sox v. Brewers UNDER 7 | 1-6 | Push | 0 | 8 h 37 m | Show
The Chicago White Sox are cruising in the AL Central, now 9-games ahead of 2nd place Cleveland. The Sox have one of the best run differentials in baseball with a +118. They play an IL Game here tonight at Milwaukee. The Brewers also find themselves in a comfortable situation, 6.5 games in the lead in the NL Central. The Sox will start Carlos Rondon today. Rondon having a fine season with a 8-3 record in 16 starts with a nifty 2.14 ERA. Rondon has allowed just one run over his last two starts (13 innings). Corbin Burnes will start for the Brewers. Burnes is 5-4 on the season with a 2.06 ERA and even better 1.86 ERA in his last seven starts. He's allowed three total runs over his last four starts (27 1/3 innings). Should be a great pitcher's duel here tonight. Play the UNDER. |

The Mets are in 1st in the NL East, four-games up on 2nd place Philly. The Jays will start Hyun-Jin Ryu. Ryu is 9-5 on the season and a bright spot for the Jays. He has a solid 3.32 ERA and 3.21 road ERA. He's only allowed one run over his last two starts (12 innings). The Mets start All-Star Taijuan Walker. Walker is 7-3 on the season with a 2.99 ERA and 1.75 home ERA. Both pitchers are very good and for me, I'll take this one to go UNDER. |

The Tampa Bay Rays are knocking on the door of first place Boston, now trailing the Red Sox by just 1-game. The Rays have the best run differential in the division with +87 runs. The Cleveland Indians have lost two straight games and now trail the White Sox in the AL Central by 9-games. The Tribe, soon to be Guardians, have a -26 run differential. The Rays will start Drew Rasmussen. Rasmussen makes his second start of the season and had a 9.00 ERA in his first start, just two innings against Washington allowing two runs. Cleveland will counter with Jean Carlos Mejia. Mejia looking for his first win, sitting 0-5 on the season with a 8.80 ERA. Two bad pitchers here with good hitting teams. Take the OVER. |
07-13-21 | American League v. National League OVER 10.5 | Top | 5-2 | Loss | -120 | 21 h 13 m | Show |
All Star game here on Tuesday from Colorado after last year's game was cancelled due to the abbreviated Covid-19 season. There will be missing players from this game. Most notably are Dodgers' Mookie Betts, as he's citing injuries that he's battled as the reason. Also missing, all the Astros players, including Altuve, Correa, Brantley and Pressly. Most of the Astros will opt out likely because of recent cheating allegations against Houston. That will make the Astros the only team in MLB with no players attending the Mid-season classic. Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom will also opt out of the All-Star game. Still, there will be plenty of players and action. Last year's game was a 4-3 AL win. The AL has dominated this series, especially of late as they have won seven straight. They have also been lower scoring games with only the 2018 game getting more than nine runs (8-6 AL win). Despite the lower scoring games in recent years I'm going with the OVER here today. This also has one of the highest totals in recent memory, a 10 1/2 or 11 on this game. Expect to see a higher scoring game on Tuesday. Play the OVER. |

07-11-21 | Reds v. Brewers UNDER 7 | 3-1 | Win | 100 | 3 h 19 m | Show
NL Central contest here today between division leading Milwaukee Brewers and 2nd place Cincinnati Reds. The Reds trail Milwaukee by 5-games. They closed the gap by winning two straight games and eight of their last 10 while the Brewers are just 5-5 over their last 10 games. Luis Castillo goes today for the Reds. Castillo is just 3-10 on the season with a 4.81 ERA. However, he's pitched much better of late, posting a 2-2 record and 2.00 and 0.956 WHIP over his last seven starts. In fact, he has not allowed more than three runs in any of those starts. Brandon Woodruff will toe the rubber today for the Brewers. Woodruff is 7-4 in his 17 starts with a nifty 2.10 ERA and 0.783 WHIP. Both these pitchers have been very good and I'm taking the UNDER today. Play UNDER. |

07-08-21 | Tigers v. Twins OVER 9.5 | 3-5 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 7 m | Show
The Detroit Tigers have won seven of their last 10 games and climbed past KC into 3rd in the AL Central, though they are still 11.5-games back of the White Sox. The Twins remain in last in the division after losing their last two games and seven of the last 10. They are now 15.5-games out of 1st place. Tarik Skubal starts for the Tigers tonight. Skubal is 5-6 on the season with a 4.44 ERA and slightly worse 5.67 road ERA. JA Happ will toe the rubber for the Twins. Happ is 4-4 on the season with a 6.09 ERA and has a 6.88 ERA over his last seven games. Both pitchers coming off poor starts and as such I'm taking the over here tonight. Play OVER. |

07-06-21 | Cardinals v. Giants UNDER 8.5 | 6-5 | Loss | -113 | 9 h 14 m | Show
The St Louis Cardinals have dropped to 4th in the NL Central with a 42-43 record, now 9-games back of the Brewers. The Cardinals won yesterday and have won six of their last 10 games but still have a -39 run differential this season. The Giants cling to a slim 1/2-game lead over the Dodgers as both clubs lost last night. The Giants are 53-31 and have a run differential of +104 runs. Adam Wainwright will start today for the red birds. Wainwright is 6-5 in his 16 starts with a 3.49 ERA and worse 5.35 road ERA. However, he has been pitching well of late, posting a 4-1 record and 2.93 ERA over his last seven starts. Johnny Cueto will start for the Giants. Cueto is 6-4 in his 13 starts with a 4.00 ERA. At home he's been good, posting a 5-2 record and 2.81 ERA. Both pitchers do well in their current spots and I look for a lower scoring contest here tonight. Play UNDER. |

07-04-21 | Twins v. Royals OVER 10 | 6-2 | Loss | -115 | 2 h 24 m | Show
AL Central matchup here today as the Kansas City Royals host the Minnesota Twins. The Royals are in 4th in the division with a 35-47 record and while they have won two straight, that is on the heels of a 8-game losing streak. The Twins are in last in the division with a 33-48 record and have lost five straight and seven of their last 10 games. Kenta Maeda starts for the Twins with a 3-3 record in his 12 starts and a 5.72 ERA and 6.29 road ERA. Brad Keller will toe the rubber for the Royals. Keller is 6-8 in his 17 starts with a 6.67 ERA and 7.97 home ERA. Neither pitcher should be around long in this one. Look for lots of runs. Play the OVER. |

07-04-21 | Padres v. Phillies OVER 9 | 11-1 | Win | 100 | 1 h 30 m | Show
The San Diego Padres have dropped back to 4.5-games behind the San Francisco Giants in the NL West. The Padres have lost three straight games. The Phillies have won two straight games and are four back of the NY Mets in the NL East. The Mets are the only team in the East with a winning record. The Padres will start Blake Snell who has a 5.29 ERA this season. Snell has been great at home, posting a 3-0 record in his seven starts with a 1.43 ERA. However, on the road that number is 0-3 with a 10.36 ERA. The Phillies will start Vincent Velasquez who is 3-2 in his 12 starts with a 3.99 ERA. Valasquez is coming off a very nice start, allowing no runs and just two hits over seven innings vs the Marlins. The way Snell has pitched on the road I look for lots of runs in this game. Play the OVER. |

06-28-21 | Cubs v. Brewers UNDER 7.5 | 4-14 | Loss | -117 | 10 h 14 m | Show
The Cubs and Brewers are battling for the lead in the NL Central. The Cubs trail the Brewers by 3-games after losing three straight while the Brewers have won five straight. They hope to take a bite out of that lead here tonight. Kyle Hendricks will start for the Cubs. Hendricks is 10-4 in his 15 starts with a 3.84 ERA. Hendricks has allowed no runs over his last 12 innings with 12 KO's and two BB's. The Brewers start Freddy Peralta who is 7-2 in his 14 starts with a 2.16 ERA and an even better 1.62 home ERA. Peralta has not allowed over two runs in any of his last eight starts. Looks like a low scoring game here on Monday. Play UNDER. |
06-27-21 | Nationals v. Marlins UNDER 6.5 | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 4 h 36 m | Show
Reason: The Washington Nationals have climbed their way back into the NL East race, now in 2nd place just 5-game back of the Mets. The Marlins have won two straight, but they are still in last place with a 33-43 record. The Nats will start Max Scherzer today. Lots of trade rumors swirling around Scherzer, but you wonder if those will persist now that the Nats are back in the race for the division. Scherzer is 6-4 on the season with a 2.19 ERA. He's allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last nine starts. Miami will counter with Sandy Alcantara. Alcantara is 4-6 in his 16 starts with a 2.84 ERA and slightly better 2.19 home ERA. Alcantara has allowed just three total runs over his last four starts (30 1/3 innings). He also goes deep into games, with at least eight inning pitched in four of his last six games. Should be a good pitchers duel here today. I'm taking UNDER. |

06-27-21 | Phillies v. Mets UNDER 7.5 | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 4 h 36 m | Show
The NY Mets have opened up a 5-game lead in the NL East. They have done this despite winning just five of their last 10 games. The only team who has done better has been the Nationals and they have moved into 2nd place. The Phillies have dropped to fourth place in the division thanks to a 3-7 mark their last 10 games. Philly will turn to Zack Wheeler today to get things going. Wheeler is 5-4 in his 15 starts with a 2.36 ERA. He has a slightly better 2.04 road ERA and 2-2 record. Wheeler has been very consistent, allowing three runs or fewer in each of his last nine starts. The Mets turn to Marcus Stroman today. Stroman is 6-5 in his 15 starts with a 2.32 ERA. He's been better at home with a 1.96 ERA. Like Wheeler, Stroman has not allowed more than three runs in any of his last seven starts. Both pitchers are good and that should keep this one lower scoring. Play UNDER. |
