So which Studs are locks for a stellar game this weekend? Let’s take a look at the top 5 QB plays for Week 8 of the Fantasy Football season.
1. Tom Brady, Patriots
Brady is the obvious top dog here – he has eclipsed 300 yards passing in four of his first six games, he leads the NFL in TDs with 16 and he’s only thrown 1 interception.

Against an improving but still sketchy Miami defense I expect Tom Terrific to pick his spots and dink-and-dunk his way to yet another huge week. 300 yards and 3 TDs is as safe a projection as there is right now.
2. Aaron Rodgers, Packers
Rodgers is locked up with the best defense in the NFL in Denver and may have some trouble finding his receivers. Am I worried – heck no! Rodgers is about as good a game manager as anyone has seen in the history of the game – if it’s there, he’s going to take it! He’s only thrown five TDs combined the last three games but coming out of his bye with a healthy Devante Adams, my guess is that he busts out. Forget Denver’s defense, this is Aaron Rodgers we are talking about!

3. Carson Palmer, Cardinals
Carson Palmer and the Cards visit Cleveland this week where they should have a ton of success. Palmer has been sensational all year and is in the midst of the MVP chatter already. With weapons like Larry Fitzgerald, John Brown and Michael Floyd, I am expecting another huge game against the Browns whose defense has left something to be desired all season long. Carson has gone over 300 yards 4 times already this year – I like him to make it five on Sunday with 2-3 TDs along the way.
4. Philip Rivers, Chargers
How good has Philip Rivers been? He has gone over 330 yards passing in four straight games and hasn’t thrown less that 2 TDs per game over that span. This week he faces a terrible Baltimore secondary that is a shadow of what Rivers has been matched up with so far this year. Rivers has weapons all over the field and he is definitely making the most of it. He is a virtual lock for 300 yards passing this week to go along with 2-3 TDs.

5. Cam Newton, Panthers
It’s time to start giving Cam his due! Despite average weapons especially in the passing game Cam has his team undefeated – and now he gets to face a pretty bad Indianapolis defense – one that has been torched all season long. He’s good for 225-250 yards passing with 1-2 TDs this week but should add 50+ yards on the ground and another TD. He is the Red Zone rushing threat- he has a rush TD in four of his last five games. Cam made good defenses like Seattle and Philadelphia look ordinary – imagine what he’ll do against Indy!
