10-28-22 | Islanders v. Hurricanes UNDER 6 | 6-2 | Loss | -125 | 6 h 28 m | Show
The Carolina Hurricanes ought to look fully recognizable to their fans when the team is seen again on home ice. Carolina is off to another strong start despite a lengthy road trip. The New York Islanders will try to disrupt that early trend when the teams meet for the first time this season Friday night in Raleigh, N.C. It has been more than two weeks since the Hurricanes played a home game, which came in their season opener. They went 3-1-1 on the road trip. |
10-28-22 | Bruins v. Blue Jackets OVER 6.5 | 4-0 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 24 m | Show
The Boston Bruins complete their second back-to-back in as many weeks when they travel to Ohio to face the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday night. Thursday's 5-1 home win over Detroit extended the Bruins' winning streak to four and improved their league-best record to 7-1-0. But it wasn't an average day. Brad Marchand returned from double hip surgery about a month early, scoring twice and adding an assist. The winger won't play Friday to help manage his load. "In no way, shape or form was Brad playing (on Friday)," general manager Don Sweeney said. "You've got to put the reins on him a little bit. ... He's just an incredibly impactful player in all facets of the game. We missed him." Meanwhile, the Bruins lost David Krejci to an upper-body injury and Jack Studnicka -- who has played just once this season -- was traded to Vancouver for goaltender Michael DiPietro and the rights to defenseman Jonathan Myrenberg during the game. |
10-28-22 | Toulouse v. RC Lens OVER 3 | 0-3 | Push | 0 | 2 h 54 m | Show
Heading into this encounter, Les Sang et Or have won two consecutive matches by a 1-0 score, defeating Marseille last weekend, while Toulouse has earned at least a point in each of their league fixtures this month, drawing Strasbourg 2-2 last Sunday. |
10-27-22 | Jets v. Kings OVER 6 | Top | 6-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 55 m | Show |
Los Angeles Kings coach Todd McLellan is beginning to like what he sees from his team. He'll look for more reasons to be optimistic when the Kings host the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night. Los Angeles played its best game of the season on Tuesday in a 4-2 win against the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning, ending a 10-game losing streak against the three-time defending Eastern Conference champions. |
10-27-22 | Heat v. Warriors UNDER 227.5 | 110-123 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 13 m | Show
Klay Thompson will get an opportunity to rebound from a rare embarrassing moment when the Golden State Warriors entertain the Miami Heat in San Francisco on Thursday night. Irritated by a poor shooting night, and like many teammates, a disparity in foul calls, Thompson came away the loser in a verbal encounter with Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker in the third quarter of the Warriors' road game on Tuesday. Thompson and Booker were nailed with technical fouls for their up-close-and-personal spat. Things appeared to be cooling down before Thompson didn't like something he heard from Mikal Bridges and rejoined an otherwise tame midcourt fray, drawing a second -- and ejection-prompting -- "T." The Suns went on to win the game handily, 134-105, after which Golden State standout Stephen Curry was surprisingly upbeat despite being held under 30 points for the first time this season. |
10-27-22 | Canucks v. Seattle Kraken OVER 6.5 | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 32 m | Show
The Seattle Kraken finally overcame their home jitters Tuesday, defeating the Buffalo Sabres 5-1 for their first victory at Climate Pledge Arena this season. The Vancouver Canucks would just like to find a way to win anywhere. The Canucks, who are winless in their first seven games (0-5-2) will look to snap that skid when they play Thursday night at Seattle. Vancouver's skid was extended Monday at home as they lost 3-2 to Carolina, giving up two goals 37 seconds apart early in the third period. J.T. Miller scored twice, and Thatcher Demko made 36 saves, yet the Canucks remained the NHL's only winless team and failed for an eighth consecutive time, dating back to last season, to give coach Bruce Boudreau his 600th career victory. |
10-27-22 | Oilers v. Blackhawks OVER 6.5 | 6-5 | Win | 100 | 6 h 20 m | Show
The Chicago Blackhawks responded to a brief stumble out of the blocks by going into a full-on sprint during their four-game winning streak. The Blackhawks aim to complete a perfect four-game homestand on Thursday when they host superstar captain Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers. Patrick Kane recorded his second straight two-point performance with a goal and an assist in Chicago's 4-2 victory over the Florida Panthers on Tuesday. The goal was the first of the season for Kane, who admitted he's enjoying the Blackhawks' start to this season as opposed to their 0-7-2 run to begin the 2021-22 campaign. |
10-27-22 | Mavs v. Nets OVER 224.5 | 129-125 | Win | 100 | 5 h 40 m | Show
When the Dallas Mavericks visited the Brooklyn Nets on March 16, they constantly frustrated Kevin Durant with double teams and then escaped with a two-point win on a game-winning 3-pointer by Spencer Dinwiddie against his former team. The Nets are off to a frustrating start after an eventful summer, and the Mavericks will attempt to make things difficult for them again when the teams get together Thursday night in New York. In the previous meeting, Dallas held Durant to 23 points and forced him to miss 12 of 20 shots. The Mavericks emerged with a 113-111 win when Dinwiddie hit the game-winning 3-pointer in front of Brooklyn's bench. |
10-27-22 | UL-Lafayette v. Southern Miss UNDER 43 | Top | 24-39 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 18 m | Show |
Teams battling to stay in contention in the Sun Belt Conference West Division clash when the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns take on the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles on Thursday night. The Ragin' Cajuns (4-3, 2-2) have won two in a row, including a 38-18 win over Arkansas State last Saturday. The Golden Eagles (4-3, 2-1), tied for second in the division, have won two in a row and four of five. Southern Miss is coming off a 20-14 victory at Texas State last weekend, after slipping past Arkansas State 20-19 the week before. |
10-27-22 | Wild v. Senators OVER 6.5 | Top | 4-2 | Loss | -113 | 5 h 45 m | Show |
The red-hot Ottawa Senators will look to complete a perfect homestand when they host the Minnesota Wild on Thursday. After losing their first two games (both on the road) of the season, Ottawa is unbeaten on home ice. The Senators are 4-0-0 heading into the final contest of their five-game homestand and have outscored opponents 22-11 during their four-game streak. Much of that damage has come in the third period, as the Senators have done an excellent job of closing out opponents. Over their last four games, the Senators have a 10-1 scoring edge in the final frame. Monday's game with the Dallas Stars was tied 1-1 after two periods, but Ottawa then scored the game's next three goals to pull away for the 4-2 win. |
10-27-22 | Red Wings v. Bruins OVER 6 | 1-5 | Push | 0 | 5 h 41 m | Show
The Boston Bruins have won three consecutive games to vault to the top of the NHL standings. They've done so in different ways, taking games to a shootout and overtime before a defensive-minded effort in closing out Tuesday's 3-1 win over Dallas. The Detroit Red Wings will be Thursday's visitors to Boston, where the Bruins are 5-0-0. "I didn't think (Tuesday) was a very good offensive game for us. I thought there were plays to be made that even our elite offensive players weren't seeing," Bruins coach Jim Montgomery said. "But our checking is really improving. We won with defense, and of course, Linus (Ullmark) was really good in the net again." Ullmark has won the last three games, but Jeremy Swayman could go back in goal as the Bruins start a back-to-back; they visit Columbus on Friday night. |
10-27-22 | Canadiens v. Sabres OVER 6.5 | 3-2 | Loss | -125 | 4 h 28 m | Show
The Buffalo Sabres find themselves in a better position than in recent seasons after winning three of four games on a trek through the Western Conference. Buffalo opens a four-game homestand against the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday night in a matchup of Atlantic Division teams trying to join the upper echelon. Less than 10 games into the new campaign, the Sabres are doing a better job of it so far. On a 10-day journey through the province of Alberta and the Pacific Northwest, Buffalo coach Don Granato's bunch managed to beat a pair of playoff clubs from last season -- the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames. They also split a pair against the Vancouver Canucks and Seattle Kraken. However, in the sandwich games of the trip, the club lost two defensemen -- Henri Jokiharju and Mattias Samuelsson -- and quickly had to call up Kale Clague and Lawrence Pilut for reinforcements. Paired with Casey Fitzgerald on Tuesday in Seattle, Pilut logged 14:50 of ice time and went minus-1 in his season debut. Pilut played 46 games with the Sabres from 2018-20 before going to the KHL for two seasons. Granato said Pilut and Clague, both left-handed shots, were key parts of their depth plans. |
10-27-22 | Olympiacos v. SC Freiburg UNDER 2.75 | 1-1 | Win | 100 | 1 h 54 m | Show
Freiburg will welcome Olympiacos to the Europa Park Stadium on matchday five of the UEFA Europa League on Thursday (October 27). The hosts have won their first four games and are atop the Group G standings. They have ensured at least a playoff spot and a point from this game will take them through to the knockouts. |
10-27-22 | Feyenoord v. Sturm Graz OVER 2.75 | 0-1 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 50 m | Show
Sturm Graz and Feyenoord will battle for three points in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday. The hosts come into the clash on the back of a goalless draw away to Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga over the weekend. |
10-26-22 | Bayern Munich v. Barcelona FC OVER 3.25 | 3-0 | Loss | -59.5 | 1 h 9 m | Show
The Champions League plays host to two of Europe’s biggest clubs once again tonight as familiar heavyweight foes Barca and Bayern clash at Camp Nou. The visitors are already through to the last 16 and can seal the top spot in Group C with a game to spare if they win again here, while a failure from Inter Milan to beat Viktoria Plzen in the early kick-off would also guarantee first place. That match at the San Siro also has huge stakes for Barcelona, who, after their last-gasp 3-3 draw with Inter on matchday four, need a massive favor from Plzen to avoid being eliminated from contention. However, the Czechs have lost every game in the competition to date so the chances are very strong that Xavi’s side will already be out by the time they take to the field in Catalonia. Barca will be desperate to avoid another stint in the Europa League, but their fate is out of their hands after a run of damaging results that included a 2-0 loss in Germany in September. |
10-26-22 | Rangers v. Napoli OVER 3 | 0-3 | Push | 0 | 1 h 6 m | Show
The Light Blues are out of Champions League qualification contention after suffering four defeats in four in the section. They've conceded 16 goals to date, scoring just one with those defeats including Liverpool hitting them for seven at Ibrox in the Battle of Britain, Ajax putting four past them in Amsterdam and Napoli scoring three times at Ibrox. |
10-25-22 | Golden Knights v. Sharks UNDER 6.5 | Top | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 8 h 5 m | Show |
The Vegas Golden Knights completed a three-game homestand Monday with a 3-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs, setting the stage for a record-setting night on Tuesday. When Vegas forward Phil Kessel takes ice against the host San Jose Sharks, he will became the NHL's all-time ironman. The 35-year-old veteran is set to break Keith Yandle's ironman record by skating in his 990th consecutive game when the two Pacific Division clubs play the first of four meetings. Slotting in Monday at right wing on a third line with left winger Michael Amadio and center Brett Howden, Kessel participated in his 989th consecutive game on Monday in a game that seemingly couldn't have been scripted better. After producing just one point, an assist, in his first six games with the Golden Knights, Kessel appeared to score on the first power play at 3:16 when he finished a two-on-one feed from Nicolas Roy as the Vegas crowd erupted. However, Toronto challenged for offside on William Karlsson, and the goal was denied. Yet 35 seconds after that, Roy tipped in his first tally, with Kessel earning an assist after putting the initial shot on goal. That didn't fit the narrative as well as the overturned marker -- it would have been the Wisconsin native's 400th of his outstanding career -- but the bigger moment was Kessel tying Yandle's milestone. |
10-25-22 | Sabres v. Seattle Kraken OVER 6.5 | 1-5 | Loss | -120 | 8 h 50 m | Show
The Buffalo Sabres look to complete a sweep of their four-game road trip Tuesday night when they visit the Seattle Kraken. The Sabres have been one of the hottest teams in the NHL out of the gate, winning four of their first five games. Three of those victories have come on their current road swing, as they outscored the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, and Vancouver Canucks by a combined 15-6. |
10-25-22 | Wild v. Canadiens OVER 6.5 | 3-1 | Loss | -115 | 5 h 47 m | Show
The Minnesota Wild continue a five-game road trip Tuesday night as they head north of the border to visit the Montreal Canadiens. The Wild kicked off their trip on Saturday with an overtime loss to the Boston Bruins. They rallied from a two-goal deficit to tie the score late in the third period before falling in the extra frame. Head coach Dean Evason liked the fact his club battled before ultimately taking the loss. |
10-25-22 | Coyotes v. Blue Jackets OVER 6.5 | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 4 h 18 m | Show
The Columbus Blue Jackets will shoot for their fourth win in five games Tuesday night when they host the reeling Arizona Coyotes. The Blue Jackets had started the season by being outscored 14-5 in dropping their first three games, but since then have found their offense. They have scored at least four goals in their past three wins, with the only blemish lately a 6-3 loss to the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday. Meantime, the Coyotes have opened the season by winning just one of five games and have allowed six goals in each of their losses -- each of which has been by at least three goals. Tuesday's game concludes Arizona's season-opening six-game road trip. Columbus is returning home after picking up its first road win in three tries this season. Sunday, five different Blue Jackets scored and Daniil Tarasov made 30 saves to pick up his first NHL win in a 5-1 victory over the New York Rangers. Zach Werenski, Andrew Peeke, Yegor Chinakhov, Eric Robinson, and Kent Johnson all scored, while Jakub Voracek and Jack Roslovic each added two assists, as did Liam Foudy, who was making his season debut after being sidelined with a shoulder injury he sustained in the preseason. Foudy was on the ice for a total of 13:23 and had a plus-2 rating. |
10-25-22 | Devils v. Red Wings OVER 6.5 | 6-2 | Win | 100 | 4 h 15 m | Show
True to the term, the Detroit Red Wings' special teams have made the start of the season special. Detroit will try to maintain its momentum when the New Jersey Devils visit on Tuesday. The Red Wings have not allowed a power-play goal in their first five games. Not coincidentally, they have yet to suffer a regulation loss. In their 5-1 victory over Anaheim on Sunday, they even prevented a goal when the Ducks had a two-man advantage in the first period. |
10-25-22 | Maccabi Haifa v. Paris Saint-Germain OVER 3.5 | 2-7 | Win | 100 | 1 h 58 m | Show
PSG can seal a spot in the last 16 with a win over Maccabi Haifa who sits in last place in Group H. The French team has yet to lose a match this season, and its dominance in the Champions League is no different. The powerhouse trio of Kylian Mbappé, Neymar, and Lionel Messi are continuing to mesh together and will prove difficult for Maccabi Haifa to handle. |
10-25-22 | Shakhtar Donetsk v. Celtic OVER 2.5 | 1-1 | Loss | -140 | 1 h 54 m | Show
Celtic vs Shakhtar Donetsk Prediction Celtic have put together a fine run of form in recent weeks and will look to carry on in the same vein to claim their first Champions League win of the season. However, they face a Shakhtar side who have enjoyed a decent campaign and could move into second place with all three points. |
10-25-22 | AC Milan v. Dinamo Zagreb OVER 2.5 | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 1 h 50 m | Show
AC Milan take on Dinamo Zagreb away tonight in a crunch tie in the Champions League as a win is critical. Milan are tied on points with the Croatian side hence need to jump up to fight with RB Salzburg on the final matchday. |
10-25-22 | Real Madrid v. RB Leipzig OVER 2.5 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 1 h 34 m | Show
With 10 points in 4 games, Los Blancos have secured their place in the Round of 16. They are most likely going to end up as the group winners, but still need at least a point to end up winners of Group F mathematically. Leipzig lie in second place in the group with six points, and will need a positive result should Shakhtar Donetsk defeat Celtic in the other Group F fixture. They will take motivation from the fact that Karim Benzema, Fede Valverde, and Luka Modrić have missed the trip to Leipzig. |
10-24-22 | Nets v. Grizzlies UNDER 234.5 | 124-134 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 47 m | Show
After their season-opening loss to the Pelicans, the Nets are now 13-18 (.419) since the beginning of last season against Western Conference opponents. Memphis, meanwhile, is 21-10 (.677) against Eastern Conference teams, which is the second-best non-conference record in that time, behind only Phoenix (25-5, .833).
10-24-22 | Raptors v. Heat OVER 214.5 | 98-90 | Loss | -115 | 3 h 20 m | Show
Scottie Barnes, the reigning NBA Rookie of the Year, may be unavailable to play on Monday night when his Toronto Raptors visit the Miami Heat. Barnes suffered a right ankle sprain on Saturday night when the Heat beat the Raptors 112-109. He is listed as questionable. Monday night will be a rematch for these two teams after a scuffle during Saturday's game between Toronto's Christian Koloko and Miami's Caleb Martin. Both players were ejected in a sequence that started when Martin was trying to box out Koloko. Martin and teammate Nikola Jovic, who left the bench and joined the fracas, were each suspended one game for their roles and will sit out Monday's rematch. Koloko was not suspended but received a $15,000 fine for his actions. |
10-24-22 | Pacers v. 76ers UNDER 229 | 106-120 | Win | 100 | 3 h 44 m | Show
Through three games, the Philadelphia 76ers have far more questions than answers. That happens with an 0-3 start. Following season-opening losses to the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks and San Antonio Spurs, the Sixers suddenly face an interesting test when they host the Indiana Pacers on Monday. The Sixers, who entered the season with high expectations, were stunned 114-105 by the rebuilding Spurs on Saturday. |
10-23-22 | Ducks v. Red Wings OVER 6.5 | 1-5 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 7 m | Show
The Anaheim Ducks will look to end a four-game slide when they visit Detroit on Sunday afternoon. They are wrapping up a five-game road trip, which also included stops in New York, New Jersey, and Boston. Their losses to the Islanders, Rangers, and Devils came in regulation. The Ducks then dropped a shootout against the Bruins, 2-1, on Thursday. "We're obviously playing better," Ducks coach Dallas Eakins said. "Would have liked to have both points (on Thursday), but a small step in the right direction. "I thought our (penalty) killers did a great job. Our D was solid. It's been a sore point early, but a much better effort and much better detail." Anaheim's penalty killing has also improved, as it hasn't allowed a power-play goal in each of the last two games. |
10-23-22 | Ath Bilbao v. Barcelona FC UNDER 3 | 0-4 | Loss | -104 | 3 h 56 m | Show
This will be an emotion reunion for Athletic Bilbao manager Ernesto Valverde, who previously was at the helm for Barcelona, leading it from 2017 to 2020. Since taking over at Athletic for his third stint in June 2022, Valverde has helped Athletic Bilbao with its success, sitting in 6th place in the La Liga standings with a record of 5-3-2. |
10-23-22 | Napoli v. Roma UNDER 2.5 | 1-0 | Win | 102 | 2 h 60 m | Show
Napoli have been on an incredible run lately in all competitions. They get to this weekend with a 10-game winning streak that has them full of hope. It’s going to be challenging to continue at this pace, but they have enough weapons to stay dominant. Although their campaign has been fantastic so far, they can’t relax because Milan now shares that first place with their Saturday win against Monza. Also, Atalanta will play a bit earlier and with a victory they would take that top spot, so Napoli must be ready to handle some extra pressure. |
10-23-22 | Falcons v. Bengals UNDER 48.5 | 17-35 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 44 m | Show
The Cincinnati Bengals and Atlanta Falcons have both been surprising this season - for different reasons. The Bengals - last year's AFC champions - dropped their first two games and had to come from behind again to beat New Orleans last week to get to 3-3. The Falcons, despite low preseason expectations, improved to 3-3 with a win over the San Francisco 49ers and share the NFC South lead with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. One of the teams will move above .500 for the first time this season when they meet Sunday in Cincinnati. The Bengals have played from behind almost constantly, as was the case last week then they scored 10 points in the last 3:42 to rally past the Saints 30-26. The win, coupled with Baltimore's 24-20 loss to the New York Giants, moved the Bengals into a tie for first place in the AFC North. |
10-23-22 | Bucs v. Panthers OVER 39 | 3-21 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 40 m | Show
Brian Burns, a Pro Bowl defensive end who goes by the nickname "Spiderman," calls Tom Brady the Carolina Panthers' "arch nemesis." And for good reason. Brady is 4-0 against Carolina since joining the NFC South, averaging 279 yards passing per game with eight touchdown passes and one interception while helping the Bucs outscore the Panthers 150-63. But Brady and the Bucs' offense don't resemble the efficient unit of the previous two seasons. Tampa Bay (3-3) enters Sunday's game at division foe Carolina ranked 21st in offense, 20th in scoring and 32nd in rushing - some uncharacteristic numbers for a Brady-led offense. Brady spent part of last Sunday berating his offensive line, angered by Tampa Bay's ineptitude on offense during a 20-18 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. This week, he admitted the offense is far from a "finished product." Burns is hoping the Panthers (1-5) can take advantage - even though they won't have Christian McCaffrey on offense after he was traded to the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night. |
10-21-22 | Suns v. Blazers OVER 224 | 111-113 | Push | 0 | 7 h 19 m | Show
The Phoenix Suns opened the season with a stunning comeback victory against the team that eliminated them from last season's playoffs. Now the Suns shoot to make it two straight wins on Friday night when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers, who also won their opener. Phoenix trailed the Dallas Mavericks by 22 points in the third quarter on Wednesday before frantically charging back for a 107-105 home triumph. The game had makings of a continuation of last season's Western Conference semifinals when the Mavericks won the final two games by an average of 30 points to send the Suns home early. But this time, Phoenix got off the mat and newcomer Damion Lee made a tough 10-foot fallaway with 9.7 seconds left to give the Suns the victory. |
10-21-22 | Bulls v. Wizards OVER 221.5 | 100-102 | Loss | -115 | 4 h 23 m | Show
Two teams that opened with impressive road wins move on to the nation's capital when the Chicago Bulls visit the Washington Wizards on Friday night. DeMar DeRozan exploded for 37 points while Nikola Vucevic put up a 15-point, 17-rebound double-double as the Bulls traveled to Miami and surprised the defending Eastern Conference regular-season champs 116-108 on Wednesday. While Chicago was sampling the Southeast Division, the Wizards ventured into Central Division territory and took care of business against the Indiana Pacers, riding 23 points from Bradley Beal and 22 from Kyle Kuzma to a 114-107 triumph. The fast start is nothing new to either team. The Bulls won their first four games en route to a 26-10 start last season, while the Wizards used a 2-0 season debut as a springboard to a 10-3 start. Neither team had high expectations opening the new campaign. The Bulls are already down two key players, with Zach LaVine being eased into the season after suffering a left-knee injury last January while Lonzo Ball continues to struggle with the after-effects of a meniscus tear in his left knee. Neither was needed in the opener. Ayo Dosunmu and Alex Caruso jumped into the starting lineup with a combined 23 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and four steals, while Goran Dragic (12 points) and Coby White (10) provided backcourt depth. Coincidentally, the trip to Washington, D.C., for Dosunmu comes four days after he shared a Chicago stage with former president Barack Obama at an Obama Foundation event for high-schoolers. |
10-21-22 | Paris Saint-Germain v. AC Ajaccio UNDER 3 | 3-0 | Push | 0 | 1 h 37 m | Show
After Lille produced one of the shocks of recent seasons in the European game by pipping them to the post in 2020/21, PSG returned to the summit of the French game in 2022. Saint-Etienne are the record winners with 10 league titles in their illustrious history, but none since 1981. Marseille have won it nine times while Monaco, who are actually based in a foreign country making it a cross-border competition, eight-time champions. Nantes hold the record for the most consecutive matches without defeat (32) and also boast the least number of defeats in a single season (1) in 1994/95. |
10-21-22 | Empoli v. Juventus UNDER 3 | 0-4 | Loss | -135 | 0 h 28 m | Show
For Juventus, there’s one thing that still very much is out there for the taking. An actual winning streak against Serie A opposition. Yes, Juventus will be into a game on the 21st day of October looking to actually win a second consecutive matchup against a domestic opponent. That means they’ve gone the first 10 rounds of play without doing so — which really does tell you a lot about how Juve’s season has gone to date. But with Empoli rolling into the Allianz Stadium on Friday night, Juventus has another chance to win a second straight game against Serie A opposition just like they did right out of the gate, just like they did in early September, and just as they did coming out of the September international break in early October. |
10-20-22 | Jets v. Golden Knights OVER 6.5 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 8 h 8 m | Show
The Vegas Golden Knights will try to bounce back from the first loss of the Bruce Cassidy era night when they open a three-game homestand with a matchup against the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday. The Golden Knights began the season with three consecutive wins before taking a 3-2 road loss against defending Pacific Division champion Calgary on Tuesday. The Flames game was billed as a measuring stick for a Vegas team that missed making the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time in franchise history last season. "Well, I don't think we passed the test," Cassidy said. "Let's put it that way." The Golden Knights jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period but allowed a pair of power-play goals in a sloppy second period that saw them pick up six penalties. Mikael Backlund then scored the game-winner with 4:29 remaining in the third period when he cut in front of Jack Eichel and between defensemen Alec Martinez and Alex Pietrangelo to shovel in a Blake Coleman pass from in front of the crease. |
10-20-22 | Clippers v. Lakers UNDER 225.5 | 103-97 | Win | 100 | 7 h 1 m | Show
Kawhi Leonard plays in a game that matters for the first time in 16 months when the Los Angeles Clippers battle the host Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night. It will be the season debut for the Clippers. The Lakers opened with a 123-109 road loss against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday. The Clippers went 4-0 against the Lakers last season and have won the past seven meetings. Even though LeBron James and Anthony Davis will be on the floor for the Lakers, the presence of Leonard will be the focal point of the latest matchup between the crosstown rivals. Leonard tore his right ACL on June 14, 2021 during Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Utah Jazz. He underwent surgery a month later and missed the 2021-22 campaign. Leonard recently addressed the long period of rehabbing the knee. |

10-20-22 | Sabres v. Flames OVER 6.5 | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 58 m | Show
The Calgary Flames look to win four in a row to start the season for the first time in 13 years when they host the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday. Calgary last won four straight out of the gate in the 2009-10 season. The Flames rallied for their third straight victory on Tuesday, turning a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 triumph against the Vegas Golden Knights. "We've done a good job of doing the right things and finding ways to win," forward Tyler Toffoli said. Thursday's tilt is the second of an eight-game homestand and part of a stretch in which the Flames play 11 of their first 15 games of the season at home. While the results have come in the club's favor thus far, they know there's still plenty of room for improvement. |
10-20-22 | Hurricanes v. Oilers OVER 6.5 | 4-6 | Win | 100 | 7 h 37 m | Show
There has been some serious offense for the unbeaten Carolina Hurricanes in the opening week of the season. Their defense might be even better heading into Thursday night's game against the host Edmonton Oilers. Carolina's three goals allowed are the fewest through three games of a season in franchise history. "It's about our game," Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour said. "Let's not wait to see how the game is going to go. Play the right way is the key." Despite good play up and down the ice, sometimes it comes down to the goalie. That's what Brind'Amour saw for a stretch in the most recent game. |
10-20-22 | Canucks v. Wild OVER 6.5 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 5 h 18 m | Show
The Vancouver Canucks and Minnesota Wild share a common thread when they meet Thursday in Saint Paul, Minn. Both the Canucks and Wild are among the three NHL teams -- along with the San Jose Sharks -- without a win so far this season, a distinction that isn't sitting well in their hockey-crazed cities. Vancouver, in fact, is the first team in league history to lose four straight (0-3-1) after holding a multi-goal lead in each game. |
10-20-22 | Kings v. Penguins OVER 6.5 | 1-6 | Win | 100 | 5 h 14 m | Show
The Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday are returning home, where they have thrived, but they will be facing the Los Angeles Kings of the road. The Kings have won each of their three road games, against two home losses, and come to Pittsburgh off of a comeback 4-3 shootout win Tuesday at Nashville. That win -- which came in the second half of a back-to-back after a 5-4 overtime win Monday at Detroit -- spurred a lot of confidence for Los Angeles. |
10-20-22 | Capitals v. Senators OVER 6.5 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 5 h 33 m | Show
The depleted Washington Capitals look for their third straight win when they visit the Ottawa Senators Thursday night. The Capitals began the season with three forwards on the long-term injured list, including Nicklas Backstrom and Tom Wilson. Two more top-six forwards will be missing Thursday night. Evgeny Kuznetsov was suspended one game for high sticking Vancouver Canucks defenseman Kyle Burroughs in Monday's 6-4 win. He has been nursing an undisclosed injury but had three assists against Vancouver and should return Saturday versus the Los Angeles Kings. The new was far worse regarding Connor Brown. The forward, acquired from the Senators in the offseason to help cover Wilson's absence, left Monday's game with a lower-body injury and was placed on long-term injured reserve Wednesday. Connor McMichael, 21, who scored 18 points (nine goals, nine assists) in 69 games last season, will make his 2022-23 debut against the Senators. |
10-20-22 | Ducks v. Bruins OVER 6.5 | 1-2 | Loss | -113 | 4 h 23 m | Show
The Boston Bruins host the Anaheim Ducks in a Thursday night clash of two teams in the midst of a busy week. On Tuesday, Boston ran into a rested Ottawa team and fell 7-5 despite David Pastrnak and captain Patrice Bergeron posting a goal and two assists apiece. The game marked the second contest of a back-to-back and part of overlapping stretches of three in four nights for the Bruins. |
10-19-22 | Nuggets v. Jazz UNDER 225.5 | 102-123 | Win | 100 | 7 h 48 m | Show
When the visiting Denver Nuggets meet the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City on Wednesday night, it will not just be a game between teams on opposite sides of the Rocky Mountains. The 2022-23 season opener for both will be a matchup of teams on opposite ends of the expectations spectrum. The Nuggets are projected to contend for an NBA championship next spring. Two talented starters - Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. - are back from injuries and will join a talented cast led by two-time MVP Nikola Jokic. |
10-19-22 | Georgia State v. Appalachian State OVER 60 | 17-42 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 60 m | Show
Appalachian State was supposed to be the Sun Belt’s killer running team this year, and it’s turning out to be Georgia State. The Panthers can throw a little bit when they have to, but the veteran combination of backs and quarterback Darren Grainger are starting to take over. Army ran for more yards, but Georgia State was more effective on the ground in the 31-14 win. It ripped through Georgia Southern for 336 yards, and they’re combining it with a defense that takes the ball away by the truckload. |
10-19-22 | Wizards v. Pacers UNDER 227.5 | 114-107 | Win | 100 | 5 h 44 m | Show
After they both missed the playoffs last season and languished near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings, the Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards will start the climb back to respectability when they meet Wednesday night in a 2022-23 season opener at Indianapolis. Washington will begin its season looking to rebound from a disappointing 12th-place finish in the East a season ago. The Wizards opened the 2021-22 season 11-5 but went just 24-42 the rest of the way. One of the Wizards' offseason moves, made with the aim of returning to the postseason, was trading guards Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Ish Smith to Denver for Monte Morris and Will Barton. Morris posted career-best averages of 12.6 points and 4.4 assists per game a season ago while continuing to limit turnovers. He brings a more traditional point-guard presence for the Wizards to pair with standout scorer Bradley Beal in the backcourt. A three-time All-Star, Beal finished second in the NBA in scoring at 31.3 points per game during the 2020-21 season but saw his average dip to 23.2 in 2021-22, while playing in just 40 games because of a wrist injury. |
10-18-22 | Lakers v. Warriors UNDER 225.5 | Top | 109-123 | Loss | -110 | 24 h 33 m | Show |
The defending champion Golden State Warriors tip off their bid to repeat Tuesday night against an opponent that knows a little about going back-to-back when they host the Los Angeles Lakers in a nationally televised NBA opener. The Warriors had the third-best record in the Western Conference in the regular season before veterans Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Andre Iguodala led a 16-6 playoff run to their fourth title in eight years. Curry earned Western Conference Finals and NBA Finals Most Valuable Player honors, capping a season in which he overtook Ray Allen for the all-time lead in 3-pointers. The Warriors, who put together back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018, will begin their quest for five titles in nine years against the same opponent they saw on Opening Night a year ago. Last time, the game was played in Los Angeles, where Golden State ignited an 18-2 start to the season with a 121-114 victory. |
10-18-22 | Sabres v. Oilers OVER 6.5 | 4-2 | Loss | -140 | 8 h 3 m | Show
In their first two games this season, the Edmonton Oilers have dug themselves deep holes early then trying to find their way out. That's something they are looking to correct Tuesday night when they host the Buffalo Sabres. The Oilers have trailed by three goals after the first 21 minutes of each of their two games, most recently spotting four goals to the Calgary Flames in the first period Saturday and eventually losing 4-3. In their season opener against the Vancouver Canucks, they trailed 2-0 in the first period and were down by three less than a minute into the second before rallying for a 5-3 stunner, after a hat trick from Connor McDavid. "It's tough to come back every single night, so it's something we've definitely got to address," defenseman Cody Ceci said. "It seems like once we get going we're a good team, but you can't play from behind every single night. |
10-18-22 | Ducks v. Devils OVER 6.5 | 2-4 | Loss | -115 | 6 h 57 m | Show
The New Jersey Devils have been slow out of the chute, so coach Lindy Ruff turned up the temperature heading into Tuesday's game against the visiting Anaheim Ducks. The Devils started the season with back-to-back 5-2 losses to the Philadelphia Flyers and Detroit Red Wings, prompting Ruff to put the Devils through a long fast-paced practice on Monday. "Practice with a purpose," New Jersey center Nico Hischier said afterward. "We practiced on stuff we think we can do better in games, so it's more natural for us, and that's what we do. It's 80 more (games) to go. We're definitely on a new day (Tuesday) and a new game day." The Ducks started the season with an impressive 5-4 come-from-behind win in overtime against the visiting Seattle Kraken on Wednesday, but have dropped the first two games of their five-game road trip. After a very one-sided 7-1 loss to the New York Islanders on Saturday night, the Ducks played better against the New York Rangers on Monday, but still lost 6-4. The Ducks are 7-for-13 on the penalty kill so far this season, and goalie John Gibson has allowed five goals through the first two periods in each of the past two games. Both times he was replaced by Anthony Stolarz, who will likely make his first start of the season against the Devils. |
10-18-22 | Ath Bilbao v. Getafe CF OVER 2 | 2-2 | Win | 100 | 1 h 8 m | Show
Getafe will entertain Athletic Bilbao at the Estadio Coliseum Alfonso Pérez in their mid-week La Liga clash on Tuesday. The home team has endured a slow start to their league campaign and is in 16th place in the table after nine games. They are winless in their last three but avoided a loss last time around after playing out a goalless draw against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday. Bilbao is also without a win in their last two games and fell to just their second defeat of the campaign last time around. Antoine Griezmann scored the winning goal in the 47th minute for Atletico Madrid to inflict a 1-0 defeat on Athletic. They slipped to fifth place in the standings following the loss and will be looking to return to winning ways. |
10-17-22 | Broncos v. Chargers OVER 45.5 | 16-19 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 36 m | Show
Justin Herbert has shown he has been able to bounce back from a serious injury. Whether Russell Wilson can do the same has turned into the leading storyline for Monday night's game. Herbert's Los Angeles Chargers will host Wilson and the Denver Broncos in prime time in an AFC West matchup. Even though there remain nearly three months of the regular season to be played, both quarterbacks have already experienced their share of adversity. Wilson received an injection last Friday for a strained muscle near his throwing shoulder. The platelet-rich plasma injection was used to treat a strained latissimus dorsi on his right side. It is the large, flat muscle on the back that stretches to the sides and behind the arms. Wilson sustained the injury during an Oct. 2 loss at Las Vegas and then played through it on a short week when the Broncos lost 12-9 in overtime to Indianapolis. For the second straight year and fourth time in his 11-year career, Wilson is on a team that is 2-3 after five games. His 82.8 passer rating is 12th in the AFC along with a completion rate of only 59.4%, hardly what the Broncos' new ownership group expected when they gave Russell a $245 million contract extension. Even though Wilson and the Broncos have struggled under first-year coach Nathaniel Hackett, Chargers boss Brandon Staley remains leery of what Wilson can do. |
10-17-22 | Avalanche v. Wild OVER 6.5 | 6-3 | Win | 100 | 5 h 48 m | Show
The celebration on opening night was special for the Colorado Avalanche, but they found out 24 hours later that winning a title means getting every opponent's best game. Colorado won convincingly in its season opener, which included a banner-raising event and the debut of goaltender Alexandar Georgiev, but then host Calgary took it to the defending champs the next night. The Avalanche have had a few days to brush off that 5-3 loss to the Flames and next will take on Central Division rival Minnesota. The Wild are 0-2 amid a four-game homestand to open their season. Colorado and Minnesota developed a rivalry over the past 20 years that made for some good playoff matchups, but the Wild have not played up to the same level as the Avalanche. They have allowed seven goals in each of their losses. Netminder Marc-Andre Fleury heard boos when he was pulled after allowing four goals in Saturday night's loss to the Los Angeles Kings. In two games, Fleury has an 8.37 goals-against average and just a .776 save percentage. |
10-17-22 | Canucks v. Capitals OVER 6 | 4-6 | Win | 100 | 4 h 51 m | Show
While the Washington Capitals finally earned their first victory of the season, the search continues for the Vancouver Canucks as they visit the nation's capital on Monday night. Though superstar Alex Ovechkin is without a goal through the first three games for just the second time during his illustrious 18-year career (it also happened in 2012-13), Washington won 3-1 over Montreal on Saturday after losing to Boston and Toronto earlier in the week. T.J. Oshie had a goal with an assist and Darcy Kuemper stopped 21 of 22 shots as all the game's scoring came in the second period. |
10-17-22 | Penguins v. Canadiens OVER 6.5 | 2-3 | Loss | -135 | 4 h 45 m | Show
The Pittsburgh Penguins will look to make it three straight wins to start the season when they visit the Montreal Canadiens on Monday. Pittsburgh has won each of its first two games of the season against the Arizona Coyotes and Tampa Bay Lightning, each by 6-2 scores. "They're a proud group," Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said. "They have an appetite to win. To a man, the core group of players that have been here, they're hungry to win. "We talk about it with our players all the time: It's a daily endeavor. It doesn't happen by accident. You've got to go out and earn it in this league every day. Nothing's inevitable. We have good players, but a lot of teams have good players. It takes more than good players to win. You need a certain level of commitment, and I think our guys display that." Monday's game will mark the return of Jeff Petry to his former home. The Canadiens traded the veteran defenseman, along with forward Ryan Poehling, to Pittsburgh after seven seasons and a change in Montreal. |
10-17-22 | Coyotes v. Maple Leafs OVER 6.5 | 4-2 | Loss | -130 | 4 h 38 m | Show
The Toronto Maple Leafs will be going for their third consecutive victory Monday night, while the visiting Arizona Coyotes will be trying for their first of the season. After dropping their season opener to the Canadiens in Montreal on Wednesday, the Maple Leafs have won the first two games of a four-game homestand. Most recently, they defeated the Ottawa Senators 3-2 on Saturday night on Justin Holl's goal at 18:05 of the third period. The Coyotes, who are opening the season with a six-game road trip, lost their second straight to open the season Saturday, 6-3 to the Boston Bruins. Ilya Samsonov has played in goal for both of Toronto's wins. Opening-game starting goaltender Matt Murray (groin) was put on long-term injured reserve and will be out about four weeks after being injured during Saturday's morning skate. Murray had been scheduled to start on Saturday against his former team. Samsonov took his place and made 26 saves. "(Samsonov) looked really calm and settled in the net," Toronto coach Sheldon Keefe said. "You could tell he grew from one start to the next. That's what you are looking for is for a guy to get comfortable. Not expecting to start, but it changes your day, your plans, and all those kind of things, but it didn't look like he missed a beat, so that was good to see." |
10-17-22 | Inter Miami v. New York City FC UNDER 2.5 | 0-3 | Loss | -100 | 3 h 6 m | Show
Inter Miami CF has a shot at winning its first-ever Major League Soccer Cup playoff game since entering the league as an expansion team in 2020. NYC — aka the Pigeons — enter the matchup as the reigning MLS Cup champions and the betting favorites, but Inter Miami, co-owned by soccer icon David Beckham, has a great storyline, and some analysts are picking the Herons to win. |
10-16-22 | Cowboys v. Eagles UNDER 42.5 | Top | 17-26 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 29 m | Show |
Jason Peters is ready to return to Philly and play in front of some bleeping idiots. His endearing words toward the fans, of course. A nine-time Pro Bowl pick and two-time All-Pro, Peters built a Hall of Fame-worthy career at left tackle for the Eagles that included a spot on the NFL's Team of the Decade for the 2010s. He missed out, though, on the biggest moment in franchise history when he suffered a torn ACL during the 2017 season and missed the Super Bowl. Peters still earned a Super Bowl ring but his performance never quite rebounded to an elite level. He spent last season with Chicago and signed this season with the Cowboys - you know, the Eagles' most-hated rival. Peters comes back for a pretty big game: The Eagles are 5-0 and the only undefeated team in the NFL. The Cowboys (4-1) have won four straight. The Eagles can take a two-game lead on the defending division champions with a victory on Sunday night. Philadelphia is 5-0 for the third time in franchise history. The Eagles started 7-0 in 2004 when they finished 13-3 in the regular season before falling in the Super Bowl to New England, and began 6-0 in 1981 but dropped their first playoff game. The Linc will be rowdy -- and Peters will be ready. |
10-16-22 | Bills v. Chiefs OVER 54.5 | 24-20 | Loss | -110 | 5 h 39 m | Show
In one of the wildest playoff games in NFL history, the Bills and Chiefs traded the lead three times and scored 25 points in the final 2 minutes of regulation, including a 13-second field-goal drive by Kansas City to force overtime that folks in Buffalo are still trying to live down. The Chiefs went on to win that game in January, ending Buffalo's season at Arrowhead Stadium for the second consecutive year, and leaving Josh Allen and the rest of the heartbroken Bills counting the days until Sunday. That's when they get another shot at the team that's becoming their nemesis. |
10-16-22 | Cardinals v. Seahawks OVER 50.5 | 9-19 | Loss | -108 | 4 h 21 m | Show
Considering where the rest of the teams stand in the NFC West five games into the season, Seattle coach Pete Carroll sounded almost appreciative that no one has run away with the division. That seems unlikely to continue. Which adds a little bit more importance to what happens on Sunday when the Seahawks host the Arizona Cardinals, with one team guaranteed to be sitting in the division basement afterward. |
10-16-22 | Jaguars v. Colts UNDER 41.5 | 27-34 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 29 m | Show
Indianapolis Colts coach Frank Reich understands the ramifications of Sunday's high-stakes bout. With the Jacksonville Jaguars taking Round 1 of this biannual rivalry, Indy needs to settle the score for a legitimate shot at the larger prize - its first AFC South title since 2014. And Reich, a boxing analogy fan, fully expects his team to fight. "It's a big deal. It's a division game, they beat us up pretty bad last time, I think we all understand," he said. "This is about us taking a step and proving we are making the progress we want to make." It's not been the kind of start Reich or anyone else around Indianapolis envisioned. The Colts (2-2-1) have allowed a league-high 21 sacks and are averaging a league-low 13.8 points. New quarterback Matt Ryan has 11 fumbles, one short of his single-season career high, and last year's NFL rushing champion Jonathan Taylor hasn't rushed for more than 71 yards since Week 1. Worse yet, Indy is 0-2-1 in division play as it begins the second half of its six-game rotation this weekend. Yet somehow, Indy finds itself one-half game behind division-leading Tennessee, with a rematch against the Titans looming in Week 7. Yes, the Colts know something needs to change. Recently, the Jaguars (2-3) have delivered the knockout blows. They've won four of six in this series, eliminating the Colts from the playoffs in last season's stunning finale and logging the NFL's first shutout this season with a a 24-0 victory in Week 2. The Colts haven't forgotten. |
10-16-22 | Vikings v. Dolphins UNDER 45 | 24-16 | Win | 100 | 1 h 25 m | Show
Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel views adversity as an opportunity. His top two quarterbacks, Tua Tagovailoa and Teddy Bridgewater are in concussion protocol. The Dolphins have lost two straight after starting 3-0. And Miami will start a rookie quarterback Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings (4-1). McDaniel, in his first head coaching job, said there's no time to feel sorry for himself. |
10-16-22 | Patriots v. Browns OVER 43 | 38-15 | Win | 100 | 1 h 22 m | Show
Jacoby Brissett looks back fondly on his rookie season with New England, where he was thrust into a starting job, was schooled in the Patriot Way as one of Tom Brady's understudies and won a Super Bowl. Bill Belichick traded him the following year. "My welcome to the NFL moment," he said this week with a laugh. At least it wasn't his last one. Brissett may experience some flashbacks Sunday against a New England team with a current QB situation similar to the one it had in 2016 as Belichick brings the Patriots (2-3) in to face the Browns (2-3), whose season seems at a crossroads in Week 6. After being drafted in the third round by New England, Brissett rocketed up the depth chart and started the season's first two games for Belichick when Brady was suspended by the NFL for the "Deflategate" scandal and Jimmy Garoppolo got hurt. Although he was only there one season - he got traded to Indianapolis the following year - Brissett remains grateful for the early opportunity to play for arguably the best coach and with the greatest quarterback in NFL history. |
10-16-22 | Bucs v. Steelers OVER 46.5 | 18-20 | Loss | -110 | 1 h 18 m | Show
Tom Brady, by his own estimation, has faced the Pittsburgh Steelers "a lot." Just never quite like this. And it's not just Brady's jersey that'll be different this time around when he walks onto the Acrisure Stadium (formerly Heinz Field) turf for the first time on Sunday as a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It's the team on the other side of the line of scrimmage, too. The Ben Roethlisberger-led version of the Steelers that Brady played so often with so much on the line during his long run in New England is long gone, replaced by a group that is hurting physically and mentally. Dropping four straight games and being on the wrong end of the franchise's worst loss in 33 years - as Pittsburgh was last week in Buffalo - will do that. |
10-15-22 | Oklahoma State v. TCU UNDER 69 | 40-43 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 30 m | Show
The usual October showdown between the two highest-ranked teams in the Big 12 has finally arrived. It's just not the matchup most fans predicted. Hardly anyone expected No. 8 Oklahoma State and No. 13 TCU both to be unbeaten going into their contest on Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas, but that is the case in what is the first top-15 showdown in the conference this year. Oklahoma State's success to this point is not the biggest surprise. The Cowboys (5-0, 2-0 Big 12) began the season ranked No. 12 after nearly making the College Football Playoff last year. The Cowboys already have one road win over a ranked Texas school. They earned a 36-25 victory at then-No. 16 Baylor on Oct. 1. As has traditionally been the case, the offense has been the biggest reason for Oklahoma State's success. The Cowboys are averaging 46.4 points and 469.4 yards per game thus far and are led by quarterback Spencer Sanders, who has completed 61.5 percent of his passes for 1,394 yards and 12 touchdowns with two interceptions. Sanders is also second in rushing with 241 yards for Oklahoma State, which is coming off a 41-31 home win over Texas Tech. |
10-15-22 | Nottingham Forest v. Wolverhampton Wanderers OVER 2.25 | 0-1 | Loss | -113 | 18 h 32 m | Show
The Under-18s head coach was handed a baptism of fire in the senior dugout as Wolves traveled to Chelsea last weekend, and no surprises were sprung at Stamford Bridge, as Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic, and Armando Broja found the back of the net in a routine 3-0 win for the Blues. While the powers-that-be work around the clock to find their new head coach, Wolves continue to languish in the bottom three of the table and sit in 18th place with just six points to their name, but Southampton is only one clear in 17th and could be overtaken this weekend. It does not take a mastermind to pinpoint the root of Wolves' struggles this season, with the Molineux club only finding the back of the net three times in their nine Premier League games - four fewer than the next two most profligate sides in Forest and Aston Villa. The hosts' three recent defeats to Chelsea, West Ham United, and Manchester City ended with a total of eight goals shipped and none scored, but the champions are the only team to get the better of Davis's men at Molineux this term, and Forest have been going through their own reshuffle ahead of this game. |
10-15-22 | Bayer Leverkusen v. Eintracht Frankfurt UNDER 3 | 1-5 | Loss | -118 | 6 h 51 m | Show
Bayer Leverkusen remain third in the Bundesliga table with 55 points from 31 games. They will be looking to pick up back-to-back wins on Monday as they target a spot among Europe's finest next season. Eintracht Frankfurt's domestic struggles continued last weekend as they played out a 2-2 draw against Europe-chasing Hoffenheim. However, they returned to winning ways in midweek, beating West Ham 2-1 in the first leg of the semifinals of the UEFA Europa League. |
10-15-22 | Crystal Palace v. Leicester UNDER 2.5 | 0-0 | Win | 103 | 15 h 9 m | Show
Struggling Leicester City faces another test in the Premier League when Crystal Palace visit the King Power Stadium on Saturday (kick-off, 12.30 pm). Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers is under pressure after a run of one win and seven defeats in nine league games have left his side bottom of the table on four points. Palace is five places and five points above Leicester after Sunday’s 2-1 win over Leeds United at Selhurst Park, but have yet to win away this term and have not beaten the Foxes in the past six meetings, losing on each of their previous three visits. |
10-14-22 | Dodgers v. Padres OVER 7 | 1-2 | Loss | -120 | 11 h 17 m | Show
It was last spring that San Diego Padres players first promised their fans a postseason home game. Now the Padres are guaranteed not just one, but two home playoff games after tying the best-of-five National League Division Series 1-1 with a 5-3 win Wednesday over the host Los Angeles Dodgers. Game 3 is Friday night with right-hander Tony Gonsolin (2022 postseason debut; 16-1, 2.14 ERA regular season) starting for the Dodgers against Padres left-hander Blake Snell (0-0, 5.40 ERA postseason; 8-10, 3.38 ERA regular season). While the Dodgers are 19-5 when Gonsolin starts this season -- and 2-0 against the Padres -- the All-Star's two-inning appearance against Colorado on Oct. 3 was his only outing over the final seven weeks of the regular season due to a right forearm strain. Snell, meanwhile, needs to regain the form he had at the end of the regular season. He posted a 2.19 ERA in 14 starts after the All-Star break, with 105 strikeouts in 78 innings. But he allowed two runs on four hits and six walks in just 3 1/3 innings in the Padres' only wild-card round loss to the New York Mets. Both bullpens could be active early. For the Dodgers, that includes another starter returning from injury in Dustin May, who was limited to six starts due to arm and lower back problems. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said May is available for up to four innings and 60 pitches. He didn't say what the limit is on Gonsolin. Roberts said he chose Gonsolin over Tyler Anderson for Game 3 because his full bullpen will be available after Thursday's day off. Anderson will start Saturday night's Game 4. |

10-14-22 | Hoffenheim v. Schalke 04 UNDER 3 | 3-0 | Push | 0 | 2 h 51 m | Show
Only Stuttgart's and VfL Bochum's dismal form below them is keeping the Bundesliga 2 champions out of serious hot water, although Schalke's club management have demanded an "improved performance against Hoffenheim in all respects" after their 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Bayer Leverkusen last weekend. In normal circumstances, a defeat of that nature to Leverkusen would be no disgrace for a team expected to be fighting against relegation, but Die Werkself headed into the meeting in the relegation zone themselves having only won one of their opening eight games. Yet, with former Liverpool and Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso in the BayArena home dugout for the first time, they completely dominated Schalke, who managed just two shots across the entire match as goals from Moussa Diaby and Paulinho sandwiched a Jeremie Frimpong brace during the rout. Clearly, head coach Frank Kramer is under significant pressure to improve performances and results quickly, otherwise he could find himself out of a job with the threat of an instant return to Germany's second tier increasingly looming for his side. |

10-13-22 | Washington Commanders v. Bears OVER 39.5 | Top | 12-7 | Loss | -110 | 87 h 44 m | Show |
This is a simple formula. Both teams have been under team over the years. It's been three seasons since both teams combined made over bettors a profit. Bets on the under are exactly what the books are anticipating and that's exactly what's happening early on with this number falling a point to 39.5. Don't take the bait. |
10-13-22 | Rangers v. Wild UNDER 6 | Top | 7-3 | Loss | -103 | 11 h 31 m | Show |
The New York Rangers take their Broadway show on the road where they will meet the host Minnesota Wild on Thursday in St Paul, Minn. The Rangers got their 2022-23 season started on the right note with a 3-1 victory over the reigning Eastern Conference champion Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday in New York. Mika Zibanejad led the way for the home side as he tallied a pair of goals while firing a whopping nine shots on goal as part of his hefty 23:13 of ice time. Both of Zibanejad’s markers came on special teams, one short-handed and one on the power play. |
10-13-22 | Capitals v. Maple Leafs OVER 6.5 | 2-3 | Loss | -125 | 10 h 13 m | Show
It was never Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe’s intent to have goaltender Ilya Samsonov take on his former team — the Washington Capitals — in his debut. But that’s exactly what is scheduled to happen on Thursday. The Maple Leafs will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing 4-3 loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday night. The Capitals will also be aiming to respond after a 5-2 loss to the Boston Bruins on Wednesday. The Leafs acquired Ilya Samsonov just two days after the Capitals elected not to tender the goaltender a qualifying offer to retain his rights. Instead, Washington moved on by acquiring defending Stanley Cup-winning goaltender Darcy Kuemper this summer. Given the back-to-back games, it’s expected that Charlie Lindgren will be in goal for Washington against Toronto, according to Washington Capitals website reporter Mike Vogel. |
10-13-22 | Baylor v. West Virginia UNDER 55 | 40-43 | Loss | -110 | 86 h 52 m | Show
After a poor showing in Austin, the bye week couldn't have come at a better time for West Virginia. Not only were they able to use the bye to fix some things but also get healthy as a handful of players suffered injuries during the loss to Texas. Falling behind 28-0 in the first half just simply can't happen again. That was a team that looked unprepared and failed to adjust when they saw a defensive front that they weren't expecting. Digging yourself a hole against the defending champs is a spot you don't want to be in. Jumping out to a 7-10 point lead by half will give WVU a chance to overcome any defensive issues/miscues in the second half. |
10-13-22 | Sheriff v. Real Sociedad OVER 2.5 | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 6 h 29 m | Show
FC Sheriff are currently at the top of the Moldovan National Division and have been impressive on the domestic front this season. The away side edged Dinamo-Auto to a 1-0 victory over the weekend and will need to work hard to win this fixture. Real Sociedad, on the other hand, is in sixth place in the La Liga table at the moment and has been fairly inconsistent this season. La Real defeated Villarreal by a 1-0 scoreline in their previous game and will be confident ahead of this match. |
10-13-22 | Arsenal v. Bodo Glimt UNDER 3 | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 4 h 23 m | Show
Arsenal should come out as a winner in this game. Bodo/Glimt will not make the task easy though - their fans were brilliant at the Emirates Stadium, and they will be in full voice in a packed-out Aspmyra Stadion. On the pitch, the Norwegians played valiantly, especially in the second half of the match. The Gunners should have enough quality on the pitch to continue their unbeaten run, but it wouldn't be surprising to see an upset on the cards. |
10-12-22 | FC Porto v. Bayer Leverkusen UNDER 2.75 | 3-0 | Loss | -52.5 | 3 h 33 m | Show
We're heading into Matchday 4 of the Champions League group stage, and Porto will be playing Bayer Leverkusen at 3 p.m. ET Wednesday, Oct. 12 at BayArena. Porto won 2-0 against Bayer Leverkusen last Tuesday. With half the group stage already in the books, Porto (three points) is in second place in Group B behind Club Brugge (nine points), while Bayer Leverkusen (three points) is in third place in the group. Porto wants a win to keep them out of last. Bayer Leverkusen wants a win to keep them out of last. |
10-11-22 | Golden Knights v. Kings OVER 5.5 | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 42 h 56 m | Show
Realistically, this was never going to be a particularly fun offseason for fans of the Vegas Golden Knights. Evgenii Dadonov, Max Pacioretty, and Dylan Coghlan, traded off for essentially nothing, were necessary casualties for a club still contending with salary cap issues that prioritized retaining Reilly Smith. But the announcement of Robin Lehner missing the 2022-23 season due to hip surgery was a blow that no one saw coming. Until I know what the Golden Knights goaltending is going to look like I must bet the over |
10-11-22 | Padres v. Dodgers UNDER 7.5 | Top | 3-5 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 58 m | Show |
For their latest playoff appearance, the Los Angeles Dodgers prepped with one of the best regular seasons in baseball history, sending them racing downhill into a meeting with a familiar foe. The Dodgers' 10th playoff appearance in 10 seasons begins Tuesday in Game 1 of the National League Division Series when they play host to the San Diego Padres. In an impressive showing during the NL wild-card round, the Padres took down the 101-win New York Mets. "There's going to be a lot of emotions," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. "It's going to be exciting, not only for players and fans, it's going to be a very intense series." The Dodgers set a franchise record for regular-season victories (111) and are just the seventh club in baseball history to win as many as 110 games. Of the previous six clubs to do it, five advanced to the World Series and three won a title. The most recent to do so were the 2001 Seattle Mariners, who won 116 games but fell to the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series. |
10-11-22 | Lightning v. Rangers OVER 5.5 | 1-3 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 55 m | Show
The New York Rangers can move on from a 2022 playoff elimination at the hands of Tampa Bay by continuing their recent regular-season success against the Lightning. In a rematch of the Eastern Conference finals, the Rangers will aim for their fourth straight regular-season victory over the visiting Lightning in Tuesday night's season opener in New York. New York posted 110 points last season, then beat Pittsburgh and Carolina, each in seven games, to meet Tampa Bay for a shot at the Stanley Cup Final. The Rangers won the first two games of that series, but the Lightning answered with four straight wins to make a third consecutive Stanley Cup Final appearance before their quest for back-to-back-to-back titles ended in a loss to Colorado. Now, the focus is on the present for a Rangers team that hasn't made back-to-back playoff appearances since a seven-year run from 2011-17. New York, which returns most of its major contributors from last season, took all three regular-season games from the Lightning in 2021-22. |
10-11-22 | Guardians v. Yankees OVER 6.5 | 1-4 | Loss | -120 | 7 h 2 m | Show
The New York Yankees ascended to an American League East title by leading the majors with 254 homers, including 62 by slugger Aaron Judge. The Cleveland Guardians rose to the top in the AL Central by finding other ways to win while ranking 29th with 127 homers. On Tuesday, two differing offenses converge at Yankee Stadium when the Yankees host the Guardians in the opener of the American League Division Series. The Yankees started strong, getting to 64-28 at the All-Star break, and then slumped for about six weeks before heating up down the stretch. They ended by going 20-9 as Judge hit 11 home runs in his final 30 games and also batted .380 (38-for-100). Judge is entering his sixth postseason with the Yankees and final one before hitting free agency. So far, he is a .230 hitter (31-for-135) with 11 homers and 22 RBIs in 35 playoff games. |
10-11-22 | Mariners v. Astros OVER 6.5 | 7-8 | Win | 100 | 3 h 42 m | Show
Houston Astros right-hander Justin Verlander spent the majority of the second half of the regular season doing his best to deflect the onslaught of praise heaped upon his shoulders, instead focusing squarely on what matters most: how he would perform in the postseason. Verlander (18-4, 1.75 ERA) is the frontrunner to win his third American League Cy Young Award thanks to a remarkable bounce-back campaign after Tommy John surgery limited him to one start over the 2020 and '21 seasons. But of greater significance to Verlander and the Astros is his status as their No. 1 starter in the AL Division Series against the Seattle Mariners, set to begin Tuesday. Verlander is scheduled to make his 31st career postseason start Tuesday. He has experienced the highs of postseason success and the lows of playoff failures, all of which have served as a prologue to him leading another exceptional Astros staff. Despite this, expectations remain hard to quantify. |
10-10-22 | Raiders v. Chiefs UNDER 51.5 | Top | 29-30 | Loss | -105 | 16 h 21 m | Show |
Derek Carr has had a passer rating of under 100.0 in each of his last 11 games (including playoffs), the longest streak of his career. He had never previously gone more than seven straight games without a triple-digit rating.
10-10-22 | Mallorca v. Elche OVER 2 | 1-1 | Push | 0 | 11 h 11 m | Show
Elche are currently rooted to the bottom of the La Liga standings and have struggled to cope with the top flight this season. The hosts suffered a 2-1 defeat against Rayo Vallecano in their previous game and will need to bounce back this week. Mallorca, on the other hand, are in 12th place in the league table at the moment and have been inconsistent so far this season. The away side suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Barcelona last week and has a point to prove in this fixture. |
10-10-22 | Aston Villa v. Nottingham Forest UNDER 2.5 | 1-1 | Win | 100 | 9 h 7 m | Show
It is a crucial match for both sides with Forest looking to move out of the drop zone after five straight defeats. For Villa meanwhile, they are just two points from the drop zone, and a win would put them in the top-10. Steven Gerrard's men are so far winless on the road and are yet to kick-start their campaign after winning just two of their first eight games. Matty Cash is expected to return from his hamstring injury, while Leon Bailey is a doubt after picking up a minor muscle injury. |
10-10-22 | Lazio v. Fiorentina UNDER 2.5 | 4-0 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 3 m | Show
The clash in question will see lowly Fiorentina play host to high-flying Lazio. Starting with the former, Fiorentina, all told, have endured a disappointing campaign to date. Despite adding to their squad in high-profile fashion courtesy of the additions of the likes of Luka Jovic, Dodo and Pierluigi Gollini over the summer, the Viola have stuttered to wins in just two of their eight fixtures thus far. A 1-0 defeat at the hands of Atalanta in their return to action post-international break last weekend, in turn, leaves Vincenzo Italiano’s troops sitting in a lowly 13th in the Serie A table. It is perhaps worth noting, though, that Monday’s hosts did at least manage a return to winning ways in midweek, courtesy of a 3-0 downing of Scottish outfit Hearts in the Europa Conference League. |
10-10-22 | Ottawa v. Montreal UNDER 47.5 | 24-18 | Win | 100 | 7 h 15 m | Show
A CFL team chasing a .500 record for most of the season, the Alouettes (7-7) can both clinch a playoff spot and a home post-season game with a Thanksgiving Day victory over the visiting Ottawa Redblacks (3-11). The Alouettes face a Redblacks team with an altered sideline. Coach Paul LaPolice was fired following a 34-19 loss to the B.C. Lions on Sept. 30. Special teams coordinator Bob Dyce assumed the interim role with four games remaining in the regular season. Redblacks quarterbacks coach Will Arndt will be calling the plays at Percival Molson Stadium. “The greatest thing that I want to do is that I want to make sure the players are in a position to be successful,” Dyce said. “I don’t want to rush into anything. I know we’re on a short time frame but I want to do things right for these four games. |
10-09-22 | Nashville SC v. Los Angeles FC OVER 3 | 1-0 | Loss | -120 | 8 h 59 m | Show
LAFC has already secured the title for the best team during the regular season; consequently, they've won the Supporters' Shield. Although the club has achieved this feat in two of the last four years, Los Angeles has not been able to translate this into an MLS Cup trophy. With stars such as Carlos Vela, Gareth Bale, Giorgio Chiellini, and Cristian Tello, anything less would be a colossal failure. Meanwhile, Nashville SC is fighting to get a home playoff game in the Western Conference. They have to win and wait for LA Galaxy to lose or tie at Houston in order to claim that 4th place. Also, if Nashville SC is defeated by Los Angeles FC, Gary Smith's team could be surpassed by Portland and Minnesota in the table. |
10-09-22 | Bears v. Vikings OVER 44 | 22-29 | Win | 100 | 4 h 9 m | Show
The Minnesota Vikings have staked out a favorable position through the first quarter of their season by winning three of four games amid predictable growing pains with new playbooks and play callers on both sides of the ball. Just because Kirk Cousins worked with coach Kevin O'Connell before didn't mean the offense was going to instantly click, even with Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, and Dalvin Cook at its disposal, but I think this is the week when you start to see more of what you expected. |
10-09-22 | Texans v. Jaguars OVER 43 | 13-6 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 14 m | Show
The Jacksonville Jaguars are on a streak of streaks. Last week, they lost at Philadelphia to extend their NFL record skid of consecutive losses to NFC teams to 18. The week before, they ended an 18-game road losing streak with a victory at the Los Angeles Chargers. In Week 2, they won their eighth straight at home against Indianapolis. Next up: Jacksonville (2-2) has a chance to end an eight-game slide against Houston (0-3-1) on Sunday. Winning would be another sign of progress for a franchise that's endured double-digit losses in 10 of the last 11 seasons and finished last in the AFC South in each of the previous four years. |
10-09-22 | Villarreal v. Real Sociedad UNDER 2.5 | 0-1 | Win | 100 | 4 h 54 m | Show
Real Sociedad will host Villarreal at the Estadio Anoeta in La Liga on Sunday (October 9), looking for their third consecutive league win. After winning only twice in their opening five games, La Real have won their last two - a 2-0 defeat of Espanyol followed by a pulsating 5-3 win over Girona. The Basque country outfit are on a four-game winning run across competitions, winning 2-0 at Sheriff in the UEFA Europa League in midweek. |
10-09-22 | Liverpool v. Arsenal UNDER 3 | 2-3 | Loss | -100 | 2 h 24 m | Show
When Liverpool last visited Emirates Stadium for a league game, they were 15 points clear of Arsenal and pushing for a historic quadruple. A lot has changed in the seven months that followed that game last season. The Gunners enter Sunday’s match 11 points clear of Liverpool, knowing that a win will take them back to the top of the table. Following a turbulent start to the season, Liverpool currently sits 10th with just two wins from their last five matches. The two clubs are on opposite ends of their evolution journeys. While Jürgen Klopp’s bandwagon appears to have hit a dead-end after six years, Arsenal has turned a corner under Mikel Arteta and his young squad seems to be restoring glory to Islington. Arsenal’s resurgence under Arteta is reminiscent of Klopp’s early years at Liverpool: Exciting additions who hit the ground running, players returning from the brink to become vital cogs, and the reawakening of a fanbase that had become disillusioned with the club. |
10-08-22 | Real Madrid v. Getafe CF OVER 2.5 | 1-0 | Loss | -108 | 5 h 42 m | Show
Real Madrid visit Getafe without key stars Thibaut Courtois and Karim Benzema. Both of them should be more than ready to face Barcelona in El Clasico next weekend but in the meantime Los Blancos will have to take care of business without them. Real Madrid predicted XI: Lunin, Vazquez, Militao, Rudiger, Mendy, Tchouameni, Modric, Camavinga, Valverde, Vinicius, Rodrygo. Getafe predicted XI: Soria, Suarez, Djene, Duarte, Alvarez, Iglesias, Aleña, Algobia, Arambarri, Mayoral, Unal. Real Madrid have the better team even and Carlo Ancelotti might give some rest to starters like Carvajal, Alaba or Kroos. Los Blancos need to keep increasing their confidence ahead of El Clasico, as their momentum has decreased a little since the last FIFA break. Rodrygo will replace Benzema in the center of the team’s offensive line as he did while the Frenchman was injured, so Ancelotti and his staff will surely hope to see him performing at a high level once again. |
10-08-22 | Paris Saint-Germain v. Reims OVER 3 | 0-0 | Loss | -135 | 4 h 14 m | Show
The Paris team is coming off a tie that really did not leave their fans very satisfied. Although they were playing away against the other Group H leaders, PSG was expected to win that UEFA Champions League Matchday 3 game without any major problems. However, it did not happen that way: it was a 1-1 draw, so now they will seek to recover and continue at the top of Ligue 1. Their rivals are a team in dire need of points and in a relegation zone, which, as always, can be something in their favor since obviously, it is not a team that has had good performances; or against because they also tend to be teams that defend well, and seek to make a difference with a counterattack. It will be interesting to see if Reims will be able to contain PSG. |
10-08-22 | Tottenham Hotspur v. Brighton & Hove Albion UNDER 2.5 | 1-0 | Win | 105 | 2 h 52 m | Show
Tottenham Hotspur look to get back to winning ways once again as they make a trip to the Amex Stadium to take on Brighton and Hove Albion. Spurs aren’t exactly striking fear into the hearts of opponents right now after settling for a scoreless draw in Germany against Eintracht Frankfurt midweek. As supporters get a little restless, Heung-Min Son and Antonio Conte specifically have been calling for patience and calm as the squad figures out their issues in attack and try to find the form that saw them putting teams to the sword down the stretch last season. Brighton are just three points behind Spurs and have a new boss in Roberto De Zerbi, replacing Graham Potter who has taken over the manager’s box at Chelsea. Conte is quite familiar with his fellow countryman and the tactical matchup should be a good one. Spurs need to get some momentum in this busy month before the World Cup break hits. There’s no reason it can’t start today. |
10-08-22 | Hawks v. Bucks OVER 223 | Top | 118-109 | Win | 100 | 1 h 19 m | Show |
The first of two preseason games against the Milwaukee Bucks could not have gone any better for the Atlanta Hawks. All-Star point guard Dejounte Murray fit right in with his new teammates, and the team defense was unrecognizable compared to last year. Of course, it was just one preseason game. So we should be careful about counting our chickens before they hatch. Especially given the fact that the Bucks took a different approach to the exhibition game compared to the Hawks. For example, their starting unit averaged 22 minutes. |
10-08-22 | Juventus v. AC Milan OVER 2.25 | 0-2 | Loss | -55 | 2 h 30 m | Show
AC Milan host Juventus at a sold-out San Siro this evening as Stefano Pioli’s men look to bounce back from a heavy loss in the midweek against Chelsea FC in the Champions League. Milan will welcome back Theo Hernandez who will also wear the captain’s armband but Pioli is set to bench quite a few players and the experiment will be a risky one. |
10-07-22 | Colorado State v. Nevada OVER 44 | 17-14 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 1 m | Show
Norvell’s former team is playing better than the current one. The Wolf Pack might be struggling, but they were able to get the ground game going early on against New Mexico State and Texas State and there shouldn’t be a problem against the Rams. It won’t be anything scintillating, but the Nevada lines will outplay the Colorado State fronts in a relatively even game for four quarters. |
10-07-22 | UNLV v. San Jose State UNDER 51.5 | 7-40 | Win | 100 | 2 h 50 m | Show
UNLV QB Doug Brumfield finished with 233 yards passing and rushed for a TD in a 31-20 win last Friday vs. the New Mexico Lobos. The Rebels trailed 17-0 in the 2nd quarter before scoring 24 unanswered points, but still failed to cover the full-game spread as 14-point favorites. UNLV is 4-1 against the spread (ATS) this season. San Jose State covered the spread as a 2.5-point favorite in a 33-16 win at the Wyoming Cowboys Saturday. Spartans QB Chevan Cordeiro threw for 314 yards and 1 TD and rushed for 2 more in their Mountain West Conference opener. Cordeiro went 21-of-37 passing as San Jose State improved to 3-1 ATS on the season. |
