01-29-21 | Blue Jackets v. Blackhawks +113 | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 23 m | Show
BLUE JACKETS VS BLACKHAWKS 8* NHL BOOKIE BU$TER The Blackhawks have only two wins in eight games, but both came home at United Center where they are undefeated on the season. For this game, they've had a day of rest unlike the Blue Jackets who are coming off a shootout win against Florida on Thursday. Blue Jackets are 1-5 in their last 6 games playing on 0 days rest. Blue Jackets are 1-6 in their last 7 in the third game of a 3-in-4 situation. Blue Jackets are 1-4 in their last 5 games as a road favorite. Blackhawks are 6-1 in their last 7 home games. Blackhawks are 5-2 in their last 7 games as a home underdog. Blue Jackets are 2-10 in the last 12 meetings in Chicago. 8* play on Chicago Blackhawks. |
01-28-21 | Ducks v. Coyotes -134 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 19 h 40 m | Show
DUCKS VS COYOTES 8* NHL BOOKIE BOMBER The Yotes have only two wins on the season and they've been shut out two games in a row. They lost the first contest of this two-game set 1-0 but outshot the Ducks 31-24. Desperation breeds motivation, and I think Arizona will be the hungrier team and get rewarded for it in this one. Home team is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings. 8* play on Arizona Coyotes. |
01-26-21 | Kings v. Wild -152 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -152 | 19 h 49 m | Show |
*MAJOR WAGER* NHL WEST GAME OF THE MONTH ~ 100% PERFECT 5-0 TOP PLAY RUN The LA Kings have won only two games this season. This looks like a great time to fade them, following a big effort in a 6-3 win over the Blues on Sunday. The Wild meanwhile will be looking to bounce back from a 5-3 loss at San Jose. Kings are 2-5 in their last 7 after scoring 5 goals or more in their previous game. Kings are 17-41 in their last 58 games as a road underdog. Wild are 5-0 in their last 5 after allowing 5 goals or more in their previous game. Kings are 1-7 in the last 8 meetings in Minnesota. 10* play on Minnesota. |
01-25-21 | Senators v. Canucks -142 | 1-7 | Win | 100 | 12 h 35 m | Show
SENS VS CANUCKS 8* NHL BOOKIE BU$TER The Sens have won just one of five games. They have allowed four goals or more in each of their last three games, and here they'll face a Vancouver team that has scored 11 goals through its last three games. Admittedly, both sides have had a rough start to the season, but the Nucks have enough talent to go on a run once in a while. The Senators are a notoriously poor road team. They are 11-41 in their last 52 games as a road underdog and 3-9 in the last 12 meetings in Vancouver. 8* play on Vancouver. |
01-24-21 | Sabres -118 v. Capitals | Top | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 15 h 43 m | Show |
*BIG BET ALERT* NHL EAST GAME OF THE MONTH - 10* TOP PLAY  The Buffalo Sabres are 1-3-1 on the season. All their losses have come to the Washington Capitals, most recently a 4-3 OT setback Friday night. The Caps are 3-0-2 on the season but four of their five games being decided by a single goal, and three have gone past regulation. The Caps will be shorthanded with star captain Alex Ovechkin, No. 1 goaltender Ilya Samsonov, forward Evgeny Kuznetsov and defenseman Dmitry Orlov all ruled out because of NHL COVID-19 protocols. I fully expect the Sabres to be the more motivated of the two sides in this one. 10* play on Buffalo. |
01-24-21 | Red Wings +118 v. Blackhawks | 2-6 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 27 m | Show
SUPER EARLY RED WINGS VS BLACKHAWKS MATINEE MASSACRE ~ 12:30 ET START The Blackhawks defeated Detroit 4-1 Friday night for their first win of the season. I like the Red Wings to earn a split of this doubleheader with a win today. The Hawks are struggling to create chances on 5-vs-5. Detroit outshot them 31-27, and if the Red Wings can just stay out of the penalty box and be more efficient on the man advantage themselves (0-for-5 in the first game) they'll win this one comfortably. 8* play on Detroit. |
01-23-21 | Lightning -158 v. Blue Jackets | 2-5 | Loss | -158 | 4 h 0 m | Show
EARLY 8* NHL BOOKIE BOMBER - MUST WIN This is juiced up, but I still like the price we get on the Lightning to remain undefeated after this game. They won the first game of this home-then-home in OT and controlled the game, outshooting the Jackets 37 to 25. Columbus has only one win on the season and has yet to score more than three goals in a game. The Lightning are averaging 4.3 gpg while allowing only 1.7 gpg. Blue Jackets are 5-16 in their last 21 games as an underdog. Lightning are 4-0 in the last 4 meetings. 8* play on Tampa Bay Lightning. |
01-22-21 | Oilers v. Maple Leafs -140 | Top | 2-4 | Win | 100 | 16 h 10 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* NHL NORTH GAME OF THE MONTH This looks like a great spot to back the Leafs to bounce back from a 3-1 loss to the Oilers in the opener of this home-then-home doubleheader. Toronto outshot the Oilers 26-21 in the first game and they own a winning record on the season (3-2-0) while Edmonton has a losing record (2-3-0). Toronto sniper Auston Matthews missed practice yesterday; "He just wasn't feeling great coming off the game," Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe said. "We'll have an update [Friday] morning." If Matthews plays, great. If not, I expect the rest of the Leafs to step it up a notch and take more responsibility in the absence of their best player, particularly coming off a loss. Oilers are 2-7 in the last 9 meetings in Toronto. The favorite is 12-3 in the last 15 meetings. 10* play on Toronto. |
01-21-21 | Devils v. Islanders -143 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 17 h 46 m | Show
8* NHL BOOKIE BU$TER The Islanders have won two of three on the season and shut out the Bruins last time out. They have yet to heat up on the power play, but this looks like a good time as any against a Devils side that has allowed four goals in three games a man down. Also note that they have had an extra day of rest compared to the Devils who are 2-10 in the last 12 meetings in New York. 8* play on New York Islanders. |
01-21-21 | Flyers v. Bruins UNDER 5.5 | 4-5 | Loss | -117 | 10 h 1 m | Show
FLYERS VS BRUINS 8* NHL TOTAL The Flyers have opened the season with three wins in four games, but here they'll face a triggered Boston team coming off a pair of losses. The Bruins are never easy to beat at TD Garden, and they have won 12 of the last 17 when hosting Philly. In addition to Boston winning the game, I also like it to go under the total. The Bruins games have seen five. three and one goals this season. They'll keep Philly in check. 8* play on UNDER. |
01-21-21 | Flyers v. Bruins -131 | Top | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 17 h 45 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* NHL PLAY OF THE DAY The Flyers have opened the season with three wins in four games, but here they'll face a triggered Boston team coming off a pair of losses. The Bruins are never easy to beat at TD Garden, and they have won 12 of the last 17 when hosting Philly. 10* play on Boston Bruins. |
01-20-21 | Oilers v. Maple Leafs -145 | 3-1 | Loss | -145 | 10 h 0 m | Show
OILERS VS MAPLE LEAFS 8* NHL BOOKIE BU$TER The Oilers are off to a poor start, and defense has been the main issue with 15 goals allowed in four games. Here they'll face a Toronto team that has scored 14 goals in four games, and not fewer than three in any game. The Leafs have gone an impressive 6-for-14 (43%) on the power play while Edmonton has been among the worst in the league, going only 2-for-18 with the extra attacker. The Oilers are a fade in my book until they show they've turned a corner. 8* play on Toronto. |
01-19-21 | Capitals +114 v. Penguins | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 8 m | Show
CAPS @ PENS 8* NHL BOOKIE BREAKER - GUARANTEED TO WIN The Pittsburgh Penguins opened this doubleheader with a 4-3 shootout triumph, their first win of the season. The Washington Capitals had opened the year with a pair of victories over Buffalo and are still undefeated in regulation. The Pens are struggling to create quality goalscoring opportunities, and I like the Caps to bounce back and take this one. 8* play on Washington. |
01-19-21 | Sabres v. Flyers -145 | Top | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 15 h 14 m | Show |
TOP-RATED 10* NHL PLAY OF THE DAY - MUST WIN The Buffalo Sabres are coming off a dominant 6-1 in Game 1 of this doubleheader for their first win of the season. The up to that point undefeated Flyers came out flat as a pancake without reigning Selke Trophy Winner Sean Couturier (out injured) and were outshot 37-22. I think the loss sets up a nice bounce back spot tonight. 10* play on Philadelphia Flyers. |
01-18-21 | Blue Jackets -159 v. Red Wings | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 57 m | Show
SUPER EARLY JACKETS @ RED WINGS 8* MLK DAY BOOKIE BU$TER The Detroit Red Wings are 1-1 after splitting a couple of decisions with Carolina. They were however outshot in both contests by a wide margin, Columbus is 0-2 with a pair of losses to Nashville, but the team has averaged 37 shots on goal. "I'm looking at some of the encouraging stuff we did (Saturday)," Columbus head coach John Tortorella said. "We developed 25 scoring chances. Do we need to clean up some stuff? Sure, but I'm encouraged by a lot of different things with our hockey club." Blue Jackets are 21-6 in the last 27 meetings. 8* play on Columbus. |
01-17-21 | Capitals v. Penguins -120 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 4 h 15 m | Show |
*MAJOR WAGER ALERT* NHL GAME OF THE WEEK - 10* TOP PLAY Good spot to back the Pens to pick up their first win of the season here in their home opener after dropping two games at Philadelphia. They take on a Washington team perhaps a bit too comfortable for their own good coming off wins against Buffalo. Last time out, the Penguins were held to two goals, but they are 15-6 in their last 21 after scoring two goals or fewer in their previous game. 10* play on Pittsburgh Penguins. |
01-15-21 | Penguins v. Flyers -101 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 7 h 36 m | Show
PENGUINS @ FLYERS 8* NHL BOOKIE BREAKER The Flyers opened the season with a dominant 6-3 win over Pittsburgh. They outshot the Pens 34-25 while going 2-for-3 on the power play, and is there really any reason to believe that we'll see a different result in this one? Flyers are 24-9 in their last 33 home games. Penguins are 2-8 in their last 10 road games. Home team is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings. 8* play on Philadelphia Flyers. |
01-14-21 | Sharks v. Coyotes -123 | 4-3 | Loss | -123 | 14 h 43 m | Show
SHARKS @ COYOTES 8* NHL BOOKIE BU$TER The Coyotes have arguably the best netminder duo in the league in Darcy Kuemper and backup Antti Raanta. The Sharks on the other hand do not even have a real ace, and their No. option Martin Jones posted a 4-11-2 record with 3.18 GAA on the road last season. The goaltending situation alone is enough to warrant a play on Arizona. 8* play on Arizona Coyotes. |
01-14-21 | Canucks v. Oilers -120 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 14 h 35 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK OILERS Interesting situation as the Nucks and the Oilers will clash on back-to-back nights. They combined for eigth goals last night, and that was with Holtby and Koskinen in net. We might see the backups between the pipes for this one, and I expect another high-scoring affair. In addition to the over, I also like Edmonton to avenge last night's 5-3 loss. 8* play on Edmonton Oilers. |
01-14-21 | Canucks v. Oilers OVER 5.5 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 14 h 35 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK OILERS OVER Interesting situation as the Nucks and the Oilers will clash on back-to-back nights. They combined for eigth goals last night, and that was with Holtby and Koskinen in net. We might see the backups between the pipes for this one, and I expect another high-scoring affair. In addition to the over, I also like Edmonton to avenge last night's 5-3 loss. 8* play on OVER. |
01-13-21 | Canucks v. Oilers -125 | 5-3 | Loss | -125 | 20 h 4 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK - NUCKS @ OILERS The Canucks are 2-6 in the last eight meetings in Edmonton, and I think their struggles continue against a more talented Oilers side. The Oilers a lot of offensive firepower while the Nucks lack depth on the forward side. 8* play on Edmonton Oilers. |
01-13-21 | Canadiens v. Maple Leafs -130 | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 17 h 5 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK - HABS @ LEAFS The Habs look stronger than last season, but so does Toronto as well after adding Joe Thornton, Zach Bogosian, Wayne Simmonds, T.J. Brodie, Jimmy Vesey, Alexander Barabanov and Mikko Lehtonen. Their experience in combination with the already existing talent in this Leafs team will be interesting to watch. Home team is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings 8* play on Toronto Maple Leafs. |
01-13-21 | Penguins v. Flyers -112 | 3-6 | Win | 100 | 32 h 58 m | Show
PENGUINS @ FLYERS 8* NHL OPENING NIGHT BOOKIE BREAKER The Penguins have an old core of players. While experience is important, I think they'll need a couple of games to get back in the tempo. The Flyers have a younger team and should come out with more energy. Flyers are 21-7 in their last 28 games as a home favorite. Flyers are 23-9 in their last 32 home games. Penguins are 1-4 in their last 5 games as a road underdog. Home team is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings. 8* play on Philadelphia Flyers. |
09-28-20 | Lightning -165 v. Stars | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 15 h 6 m | Show
LIGHTNING VS STARS STANLEY CUP FINALS GAME 6 BOOKIE BU$TER The Tampa Bay had Dallas by the ropes after reeling off three straight wins since dropping the opener of the Stanley Cup Finals. The Stars managed to stay alive and force a Game 6 with a 3-2 double OT win last time out, but they're still in a very tough spot as Tampa needs just one more win to lift the cup. Tampa captain Steven Stamkos will miss the rest of the playoffs, but note that the Lightning have never lost a series in which they have held a 3-1 lead and they are a perfect 6-0 following a loss in the playoffs this season. I just think this is too much of an uphill battle for the Stars and I don't see them surviving another game. 8* play on Tampa Bay Lightning. |
09-23-20 | Lightning -150 v. Stars | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 8 h 42 m | Show
LIGHTNING VS STARS STANLEY CUP FINALS GAME 3 POWER PLAY The Tampa Bay Lightning lost Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals, but they bounced right back to tie the series with a 3-2 win in the second game. It seemingly took a game for them to figure the Stars out and they looked a lot more comfortable than the scoreline would suggest last time out. The Stars aggression won them the first game, but it cost them in Game 2 as the Lightning were sharper on special teams, going 2-for-4 on the man advantage while killing off four of five penalties. I like the Lightning with the momentum here in Game 3. 8* play on Tampa Bay Lightning. |
09-21-20 | Stars v. Lightning -141 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 52 m | Show
STANLEY CUP FINALS GAME 2 BOOKIE BLA$TER The Dallas Stars won the first game of the Stanley Cup Finals, but I like the Lightning to bounce back and even the score with a win in Game 2. They outshot the Stars 36-20 but just couldn't find the net. The Lightning are 46-17 in their last 63 games following a loss of 3 or more goals and there is no way they'll get caught off guard by the Stars two games in a row. 8* play on Tampa Bay Lightning. |
09-15-20 | Islanders v. Lightning OVER 5 | 2-1 | Loss | -130 | 6 h 27 m | Show
ISLANDERS VS LIGHTNING GAME 5 BANKROLL BUILDER The over/under is 2-1-1 through the first four games of the series. Both teams have had plenty of shots on goals in virtually all games and the netminders must be starting to wear down. The Islanders will be desperate for a win as they'll be knocked out and heading home in case of a loss. They'll be throwing everything they got at the Lightning and I expect this game to fly over the total. Over is 7-2-1 in Islanders last 10 playoff games as an underdog and 5-2-1 in their last 8 games playing on 1 days rest. 8* play on OVER. |
09-08-20 | Stars v. Golden Knights -147 | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 7 h 27 m | Show
STARS VS KNIGHTS WESTERN CONF FINALS GAME 2 BOOKIE BLA$TER The Dallas Stars won Game 1 of the Western Conference finals by scoring the only goal in the contest. They had lost six of the last seven head-to-head matchups with Vegas prior to that win and I like the Knights to get back to their winning ways against Stars to tie this series at 1-1. Getting shut out can't sit right with Vegas who normally has no problem putting its opponent's goalie under pressure and eventually light up the lamp. I'm counting on the Knights to bounce back and don't mind laying the juice. 8* play on Vegas Golden Knights. |
09-07-20 | Islanders +134 v. Lightning | 2-8 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 0 m | Show
ISLANDERS VS BOLTS EASTERN CONF FINALS GAME 1 BOOKIE BLA$TER The Tampa Bay Lightning are way overpriced here in the opener of the Eastern Conference Finals IMO. I would not be surprised to see a slow start for the Bolts as they've not been in action since August 31 while the Isles have had two days rest since defeating Philly 4-0 in Game 7 of their Eastern Conference semi-finals series. The Isles are scrappy, and I think they'll take the Bolts by surprise tonight. The Islanders are 7-3 in their last 10 playoff games as an underdog and they won two of three meetings during the regular season. 8* play on New York Islanders. |
09-04-20 | Canucks +1.5 v. Golden Knights | 0-3 | Loss | -132 | 8 h 6 m | Show
CANUCKS VS KNIGHTS NHL BOOKIE BLA$TER The Vancouver Canucks have won two on the bounce to force a win-or-go-home Game 7 in this series against the Vegas Golden Knights. With the momentum favoring the Nucks, I think we're getting a great price backing Vancouver on the puckline. Vegas has struggled to solve rookie goalie Thatcher Demko who has made 90 saves over the last two games. He's been exactly the x-factor the Nucks needed to battle themselves back in the series, and even though Vegas is a hefty favorite once again in this one, I think it will go down to the wire. 8* play on Vancouver Canucks +1.5. |
09-04-20 | Stars v. Avalanche -118 | 5-4 | Loss | -118 | 4 h 43 m | Show
STARS VS AVS GAME 7 MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Colorado Avalanche have the momentum in this series after winning three of the last four to force a win-or-go-home Game 7 showdown. The Stars players must be frustrated after already squandering two opportunities to close out the series and their heads might not be in the right place at the moment. The Avs went into the series as favorites, and I like them to seal the deal as they've picked up the pace after giving Dallas a head start in the series. 8* play on Colorado Avalanche. |
09-02-20 | Avalanche v. Stars OVER 6 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -114 | 10 h 52 m | Show |
AVS VS STARS GAME 6 MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY Each of the first five games of the series has seen seven goals or more. The average is a bloated 8.6 goals per game, and I just don't see either team slowing down. The Avs fought off elimination with a 6-3 win last time out but will of course be in the same situation again. Virtually all goalies have struggled in this series, and we can note that Avs No. 1 netminder Philipp Grubauer has been missing since sustaining a lower-body injury in Game 1 of the Western Conference Second Round. Colorado will have to rely on its high-octane offense to stay alive, and I expect to see both teams keep scoring fast and easy. 10* play on OVER 6. |
09-01-20 | Islanders -119 v. Flyers | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -119 | 10 h 24 m | Show |
ISLANDERS VS FLYERS NHL MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY The New York Islanders enter this contest with a 3-1 lead in the series. A win here would see them advance to the Eastern Conference finals, and I think they'll get the job done tonight. The Isles have outscored Philadelphia 13-7 through the first four games and their special teams have had an edge with Philadelphia yet to score on the power play. The Isles only setback in the series so far was an OT loss in Game 2, a game they still won the shots 34-31. Additionally, the Islanders have had Philadelphia's number in recent seasons going 7-2-1 in the last 10 head-to-head matchups. Sure, the Flyers will be fired up as they have their backs against the wall, but at this price, I'm well happy to back the better team to close out the series. 10* play on New York Islanders. |
08-30-20 | Avalanche v. Stars OVER 5.5 | Top | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 6 h 55 m | Show |
AVS VS STARS NHL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The first three games of the series have seen eight, seven, and 10 goals respectively. The Avs have been scoring boatloads of goals since going into the bubble and the Stars have also played way looser than they did during the regular season. Over is 6-0 in Avalanche last 6 overall. Over is 4-0 in Stars last 4 overall. 10* play on OVER 5.5. |
08-29-20 | Lightning v. Bruins +100 | Top | 3-1 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 47 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) - EARLY LIGHTNING VS BRUINS BEST BET The Boston Bruins defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 in the opener of this series, but they've dropped back-to-back games since. Last time out they took a 7-1 beating, but I like the Bruins to bounce back with a win to tie the series again. The teams are a lot more evenly matched than the result in the last contest would suggest, and the Bruins will be the team with a chip on their shoulders and a point to prove. 10* play on Boston Bruins. |
08-26-20 | Islanders -101 v. Flyers | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -101 | 3 h 3 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) - ISLES VS FLYERS MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY The New York Islanders opened this Eastern Conference playoffs series with a 4-0 win. Netminder Semyon Varlamov has been a wall lately and has not allowed a goal over his last 136 minutes in the crease. He is 7-2-1 with a 2.71 GAA in previous meetings with Philly. Philadelphia looked dominant in the round-robin portion of the playoffs but needed six games to get past Montreal in the last round and scored only a total of 11 games in the series. The Islanders on the other hand are clicking and had no trouble lighting up the lamp in their series against Washington or against Philly in Game 1 of this series. I like the Isles to keep dominating on both ends of the end tonight. 10* play on New York Islanders. |
08-24-20 | Stars v. Avalanche OVER 5.5 | 5-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 24 m | Show
STARS VS AVS MONDAY NIGHT NHL NO BRAINER The Dallas Stars claimed the opener of this Western Conference semifinal series with an upset 5-3 win. I expect to see another high-scoring affair here in Game 2. Dallas has scored a total of 12 goals through its last two games while Colorado has scored 17 goals through its last three. Each of the Avs last four games have seen at least six goals and odds are the winner of this contest will have to light up the lamp at least four times. 8* play on OVER 5.5. |
08-23-20 | Canucks v. Golden Knights OVER 5.5 | Top | 0-5 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 14 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) - CANUCKS VS KNIGHTS MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY The Vancouver Canucks have scored a combined 10 goals through the last two games to clinch their best-of-seven first round series against the Blues. I like the fifth-seeded Nucks' offense to keep them in the opener of this series with the No. 1 ranked Vegas Golden Knights. Both teams are offensively-minded and Vegas is shooting the puck more than any team in the NHL (34.5 shots per game). They'll also come in well-rested and we can note that the over is 6-0 in Golden Knights last 6 games playing on three or more days rest. 10* play on OVER. |
08-22-20 | Stars v. Avalanche -163 | 5-3 | Loss | -163 | 19 h 32 m | Show
STARS VS AVALANCHE WC SEMI-FINALS BANKROLL BUILDER The Colorado Avalanche have looked terrific and only needed five games to get past Arizona in the last round. They probably could've/should've got it done in three games as they outshot the Yotes 51-21 in their Game 3 loss. With a 14-2 goal differential over the final two games of the series, it's hard to find an argument NOT to back the Avs here against a Dallas side that didn't look all that impressive against Calgary. The Stars seven unanswered goals to come back from a three-goal deficit to clinch the series in Game 6 will fool some bettors that Dallas is actually on the Avs level, but I'm not falling for it. Lay the juice with Colorado. 8* play on Colorado Avalanche. |
08-20-20 | Stars v. Flames +110 | 7-3 | Loss | -100 | 14 h 37 m | Show
STARS VS FLAMES THURSDAY NIGHT MONEYLINE MASSACRE Big time desperation mode for the Calgary Flames who would be eliminated by a loss Thursday night. A win on the other hand would set up a deciding Game 7, and I like the Flames to come through with a big outing when they need it the most. Four of the previous five games in the series have been decided by one goal (the one that didn't was a 2-0 Flames win), so it's not like the Stars have dominated the series. I have no doubt that the value is on the underdog fighting for its postseason life in this matchup. 8* play on Calgary Flames. |
08-20-20 | Islanders v. Capitals OVER 5 | 4-0 | Loss | -125 | 7 h 29 m | Show
ISLANDERS VS CAPITALS THURSDAY NIGHT TOTAL The Washington Capitals came back from a two-goal deficit to defeat the NY Islanders 3-2 and stay alive in the series last time out. They're still at risk of elimination, and I think they'll try and impose their superior offense on the Isles early in this one which should make it a high-scoring game. Only one of the last seven head-to-head meetings has seen fewer than five goals, and the Islanders power play should be ready to click into gear after going 0-for-10 over the last 10 games. 8* play on OVER 5. |

08-19-20 | Hurricanes +135 v. Bruins | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 55 m | Show
HURRICANES VS BRUINS BANKROLL BUILDER The Boston Bruins mounted a late third-period comeback to defeat Carolina 4-3 last time out and take a 3-1 lead in the series. I like the price we get on the Canes to stay alive and extend the series with a win tonight. While they've been outshot in every game, the Hurricanes have certainly kept it close when it comes to lighting up the lamp, with two of the three losses coming by just a goal, one of them in double overtime. Boston is the better team, but the betting value is on Carolina. 8* play on Carolina Hurricanes. |
08-19-20 | Blue Jackets v. Lightning -171 | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 3 h 14 m | Show
SUBSCRIBERS ONLY The first four games of this series have seen an average of 4.25 goals per game with no more than five goals in any single game. I expect another low-scoring affair here as the Columbus Blue Jackets need to make something happen, entering this game 3-1 down in the series. That might be easier said than done though; while Columbus owns the fourth-best scoring defense in the NHL, its offense is one of the worst at only 2.6 goals scored per game. Tampa owns the No. 1 offense with an average of 3.5 gpg, but I don't see the Lightning taking many chances in this one. Additionally to the under, I also like Tampa Bay to win and close out the series. They have shown themselves capable of winning games behind their defense alone, and I don't see the Jackets extending the series. 8* play on Tampa Bay Lightning. |
08-19-20 | Blue Jackets v. Lightning UNDER 5 | Top | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 35 m | Show |
SUPER EARLY BLUE JACKETS VS LIGHTNING BEST BET The first four games of this series have seen an average of 4.25 goals per game with no more than five goals in any single game. 10* play on UNDER 5. |
08-18-20 | Capitals v. Islanders -110 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 37 m | Show |
CAPITALS VS ISLANDERS MONEYLINE MASSACRE TOP PLAY I backed the Washington Capitals and lost in Game 3 of this series. Now I'm shamelessly switching sides to back the NY Islanders to complete the sweep and move on to the Eastern Conference semifinals. While I thought that Caps would show some grit and pride, it has just not happened. They've been outshot and outplayed in just about every game and are 0-3 down despite the Isles going only 1/14 on the power play. The Caps meanwhile have scored only two even-strength goals in the series, and I don't see any other outcome than another Islanders win. 10* play on New York Islanders. |
08-16-20 | Flyers -130 v. Canadiens | 1-0 | Win | 100 | 11 h 31 m | Show
FLYERS VS HABS SUNDAY NIGHT NHL POWER PLAY The Philadelphia Flyers might have felt a little bit too comfortable after defeating the Montreal Canadiens in the opener of this best-of-seven playoffs series. You better believe they'll be wide awake more focused for this contest after taking a 5-0 beating in Game 2. The Flyers were undefeated in the bubble prior to that loss, and I fully expect the better team to bounce back and retake the series lead. 8* play on Philadelphia Flyers. |
08-16-20 | Stars -117 v. Flames | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 2 m | Show
STARS VS FLAMES NHL DAYTIME DESTROYER The Dallas Stars trail the Calgary Flames 2-1 in this Stanley Cup playoff opening-round series following a 2-0 loss on Friday. They were controlling the game and outshot the Flames 35-23, but simply couldn't find the net despite four chances to play with a man advantage. This is a huge game as another loss would put the Stars in a big hole, and I expect the better team to come through with a win today. 8* play on Dallas Stars. |
08-16-20 | Capitals -105 v. Islanders | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -105 | 2 h 56 m | Show |
SUPER EARLY CAPS VS ISLANDERS NHL BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY The Washington Capitals just might be the most motivated and desperate team on Sunday's slate of games from the NHL playoffs. They're 2-0 down in the series despite scoring the opening goal in each of the first two games, but the Caps should have enough experience on their roster to let if affect their morale in a negative way. The Islanders on the other hand are in a potential flat spot as they must feel pretty good about themselves and maybe just a bit too comfortable. Look for Washington to respond and edge its way back into the series with a win early Sunday afternoon. 10* play on Washington Capitals. |
08-15-20 | Avalanche v. Coyotes UNDER 5.5 | Top | 2-4 | Loss | -130 | 15 h 48 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) - TOP RATED MAJOR WAGER TOTAL The first two games of this series have stayed under the posted total, and I see no reason why that shouldn't be the case again here in Game 3. Playing on back-to-back days could help slow down the tempo even further Under is 4-0 in Avalanche last 4 games playing on 0 days rest and 16-5 in their last 21 games as a favorite. Under is 5-0 in Coyotes last 5 games playing on 0 days rest. 10* play on UNDER 5.5. |
08-14-20 | Stars v. Flames -101 | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 21 m | Show
LATE NIGHT STARS VS FLAMES MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Dallas Stars tied up this best-of-seven opening-round set at 1-1 with a win Thursday night. This sets up a great spot to back the Flames to regroup and retake the lead tonight. "It's great to be able to play tomorrow and put this one behind us," captain Mark Giordano said. "Listen, it was 4-4 with a minute left. I thought a lot of guys deserve a lot of credit for getting us back into that game late, but it didn't go our way at the end." Calgary was certainly in the game and rallied back from deficits multiple times yesterday. It will be tough for Dallas to be the sharper team two games in a row, particularly playing with no rest on to back-to-back nights. 8* play on Calgary Flames. |
08-14-20 | Islanders v. Capitals -118 | 5-2 | Loss | -118 | 12 h 22 m | Show
ISLANDERS VS CAPITALS FRIDAY NIGHT BOOKIE BA$HER The Washington Capitals won only one of two games in the round-robin tournament and came out flat in a 4-2 loss in the opener of this first-round playoffs series with the NY Islanders. The Isles have been playing playoff hockey since the beginning of the month and defeated Florida in five games to make it through the qualifying round, but I like Washington here in Game 2 of this series. The Caps should be more up to speed now and need to show more urgency after going a game down. Capitals center Nicklas Backstrom was injured early in Game 1 and has been ruled out for this contest. Let's see his teammates rally around him and put up a much better effort tonight. 8* play on Washington Capitals. |
08-14-20 | Canadiens v. Flyers -140 | 5-0 | Loss | -140 | 2 h 58 m | Show
HABS VS FLYERS NHL DAYTIME DESTROYER The Philadelphia Flyers won the opener of this best-of-seven Eastern Conference first-round series 2-1, and I think they'll take a 2-0 lead with another win today. They have a solid edge on both ends of the ice and goaltender Carter Hart, who made 27 saves in Wednesday's victory, is a tough nut to crack for a Montreal offense that ranks only 19th in the league with 2.9 goals per game. The Habs spent a lot of energy to beat Pittsburgh in the qualifying round, and might even have issues to recharge mentally after that series upset. 8* play on Philadelphia Flyers. |
08-13-20 | Flames v. Stars -105 | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 53 m | Show
FLAMES VS STARS NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE I like the Dallas Stars to bounce back from a 3-2 defeat to the Calgary Flames in the opening game of this best-of-seven Stanley Cup playoffs opening round series. The Stars are so much better than they've shown in recent games, and I really expect them to click into gear here, coming into the matchup a game down. There is a good reason why the Stars are the higher seed, and I expect them to show it here. 8* play on Dallas Stars. |
08-13-20 | Hurricanes +125 v. Bruins | 3-2 | Win | 125 | 20 h 2 m | Show
HURRICANES VS BRUINS NHL BOOKIE BLA$TER The Boston Bruins won the opener of this first-round playoffs series 4-3 in double OT on Wednesday. They were no doubt the better team and controlled the better part of the game, but I like the Carolina Hurricanes to bounce back and tie the series with a win tonight. Note that the Canes were coming off a seven-day layoff while the Bruins were playing on three days rest, so I'm not surprised that the Bruins were the hotter team yesterday. Now Carolina should be up to speed again, and that combined with the motivation/desperation of being a game down in the series I think the price warrants a wager on the Hurricanes in this one. 8* play on Carolina Hurricanes. |
08-12-20 | Canadiens v. Flyers -155 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 13 h 15 m | Show
WEDNESDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Montreal Canadiens deserve a lot of credit for beating the Pittsburgh Penguins in four games in the qualifying round. That being said, I think they'll come up short here in Game 1 of this first-round playoff series against the Philadelphia Flyers. Philly earned the top seed in the East after winning all three games in the round-robin tournament. An impressive feature considering the opponents was Boston, Washington, and Tampa Bay. The Flyers gave up one goal in each game, and this should be too big of a step up in competition for the Habs who caught Pittsburgh off guard. 8* play on Philadelphia Flyers. |
08-12-20 | Coyotes v. Avalanche UNDER 5.5 | Top | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 13 h 16 m | Show |
YOTES VS AVS WEDNESDAY NIGHT NHL TOTAL TOP PLAY The Colorado Avalanche played two low-scoring games against Dallas and St. Louis before taking a 4-3 OT loss to Vegas in their last game in the round-robin tournament. While they are one of the highest-scoring teams in the league I think this will play out like the first two games. The Arizona Coyotes are certainly a defense-first kind of team, and both sides will be wary of giving up the first goal. The Coyotes own the 3rd best scoring defense in the NHL with only 2.6 goals allowed per game while Colorado ranks 6th with 2.7 gpg allowed. 10* play on UNDER. |
08-12-20 | Hurricanes v. Bruins UNDER 5.5 | 3-4 | Loss | -138 | 2 h 44 m | Show
SUPER EARLY CANES VS BRUINS NHL TOTAL This game was supposed to be played yesterday but was postponed due to Columbus Blue Jackets and Tampa Bay Lightning's five-overtime marathon here at Scotiabank Arena. The early start won't be beneficial for the offenses as it might take the players a period or so to wake up, and I expect to see a sleepy, low-scoring affair. |
08-12-20 | Hurricanes v. Bruins -125 | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 2 h 43 m | Show
SUBSCRIBERS ONLY This game was supposed to be played yesterday but was postponed due to Columbus Blue Jackets and Tampa Bay Lightning's five-overtime marathon here at Scotiabank Arena. The early start won't be beneficial for the offenses as it might take the players a period or so to wake up, and I expect to see a sleepy, low-scoring affair. |
08-11-20 | Flames v. Stars -108 | 3-2 | Loss | -108 | 13 h 44 m | Show
FLAMES VS STARS NHL POWER PLAY The Dallas Stars have won seven of the last nine head-to-head matchups with the Calgary Flames. I predict more success for the Stars here in the opening round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Calgary is getting a bit too much respect for beating up on the Jets in four games in the qualifying round. Winnipeg was shorthanded and while the Stars went only 1-2 in round-robin play, the playoff format is more suitable to defensively strong teams like them (2nd in the NHL for goals allowed). Sure Calgary has more momentum, but it also had to put in more effort through its four qualifying games than Dallas in its three round-robin games. I expect the Stars to come alive and show their class. 8* play on Dallas Stars. |
08-09-20 | Blue Jackets v. Maple Leafs -155 | 3-0 | Loss | -155 | 13 h 7 m | Show
BLUE JACKETS VS MAPLE LEAFS NHL POWER PLAY With only four minutes to go in Friday's matchup, the Columbus Blue Jackets were cruising to a 3-0 triumph which would have clinched the series. An unprecedented Leafs comeback saw them tie the game and score the winner in overtime to force this deciding Game 5. This is a tough spot for the stunned Columbus players who must've thought they had booked their ticket to the next round already. I expect Toronto to take advantage of the momentum and come through with another win.  8* play on Toronto Maple Leafs. |
08-08-20 | Golden Knights v. Avalanche -107 | Top | 4-3 | Loss | -107 | 14 h 0 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (NHL) - MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY ALERT The Vegas Golden Knights and the Colorado Avalanche are both heading into the weekend perfect 2-0-0 in the Edmonton bubble. They will consequently square off for the top seed in the Conference on Saturday, and I like the Avs to be the team to come through. While Vegas can match up with Colorado on the offensive end, the Avs have a pretty significant edge defensively. Note that the Knights have allowed a total of seven goals in their games against St. Louis and Dallas and netminder Marc-Andre Fleury went 0-2 with a 7.13 GAA against Colorado during the regular season. Colorado has allowed only one goal in the bubble and shut out the Stars last time out. Last but not least, this will be the third meeting of the season, with Colorado winning the first two 6-1 and 7-3. 10* play on Colorado Avalanche. |
08-07-20 | Canucks v. Wild -115 | 5-4 | Loss | -115 | 13 h 21 m | Show
LATE NIGHT CANUCKS VS WILD NHL MONEYMAKER The Minnesota Wild have their backs against the wall as they face elimination after taking a 3-0 loss to the Canucks Thursday night. They went 0-for-7 on the power play, and I expect more focus on the special teams in this one. They lost as a favorite yesterday, but note that they're still a solid 6-2 in their last eight games as a favorite. 8* play on Minnesota Wild. |
08-07-20 | Islanders v. Panthers +109 | 5-1 | Loss | -100 | 2 h 50 m | Show
SUPER EARLY ISLANDERS VS PANTHERS BOOKIE BA$HER The Florida Panthers faced elimination in Wednesday's Qualifying Round matchup with the NY Islanders but managed to stay alive with a 3-2 victory. I think they'll come through again and extend the series to a deciding Game 5. The Panthers went 2-for-5 with a man advantage on Wednesday and they have converted on 21.2% of their power play opportunities on the season, which can be compared to the Islanders 17.4% conversion rate. Do not underestimate the desperation from a team down in the series, and the loss last time out might very well have flustered the Isles. 8* play on Florida Panthers. |
08-06-20 | Golden Knights -110 v. Blues | Top | 6-4 | Win | 100 | 19 h 1 m | Show |
NHL MAJOR WAGER ALERT - KNIGHTS VS BLUES BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY The Vegas Golden Knights are 16-5-1 under head coach Peter DeBoer, including a white hot 12-2-0 over their last 14. They opened the Western Conference Round-Robin with a come-from-behind 5-3 win over Dallas and a win here would see them tied for points with the Colorado Avalanche at the top of the standings. The Blues on the other hand took a demoralizing last-second loss to the Avs in their Round-Robin opener, and I think they'll struggle to bring the intensity needed to compete with the Knights. 10* play on Vegas Golden Knights. |
08-06-20 | Capitals v. Flyers UNDER 6 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 9 h 59 m | Show
CAPITALS VS FLYERS TOTAL BOOKIE BA$HER The Philadelphia Flyers and the Washington Capitals have plenty of offensive firepower at their disposal, but they're both also capable of locking it down defensively. Philadelphia opened its Eastern Conference round-robin action with a 4-1 win over Boston while Washington is coming off a 3-2 SO loss to Tampa Bay. The Caps had to do without top scorer John Carlson due to an undisclosed injury, and his situation remains uncertain for this game. Neither team managed to light it up last time out, and I think this will be a tight and relatively low-scoring affair. 8* play on UNDER 6. |
08-05-20 | Avalanche -127 v. Stars | Top | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 14 h 55 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) - TOP RATED MONEYLINE MAJOR WAGER The Colorado Avalanche are coming off a 2-1 win over St. Louis while Dallas took a 5-3 loss to Vegas in its first game of the Western Conference round-robin. The Stars may have gotten the better of Colorado all four times during the regular season, but I like Colorado in tonight's matchup. The Avs are averaging 3.37 goals per game and their offense is right up there with the best in the league while Dallas is averaging a paltry 2.58 goals per game. Now, the Stars do of course have a clear defensive edge, but I think both teams will play relatively relaxed and let the offense dominate the game. Avalanche are 8-2 in their last 10 playoff games as a favorite and 11-3 in their last 14 games following a win. The Stars are in a tailspin with seven straight losses (dating back to pre-covid). 10* play on Colorado Avalanche. |
08-04-20 | Blue Jackets +130 v. Maple Leafs | 0-3 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 4 m | Show
BLUE JACKETS VS MAPLE LEAFS NHL POWER PLAY The Columbus Blue Jackets claimed the opener of this best-of-five Eastern Conference qualifying series with a 2-0 win on Sunday. Toronto is the No. 8 seed while Columbus the No. 9 seed which suggests a small gap in talent, and I strongly disagree that the Leafs should be this big of a favorite in this one. While Toronto is the better offensive team, the Jackets have an edge on the defensive end and I think they'll be able to punish a Toronto team that is likely to push things too much, playing from behind and all that.  Blue Jackets are 9-3 in their last 12 after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game and 6-2 in their last 8 playoff games as an underdog. Maple Leafs are 1-6 in their last 7 after allowing 2 goals or less in their previous game. 8* play on Columbus Blue Jackets. |
08-03-20 | Canadiens v. Penguins -125 | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 45 m | Show
HABS @ PENGUINS NHL POWER PLAY The Montreal Canadiens won the opener of this best-of-five series 3-2 in OT. I like the Pittsburgh Penguins to bounce back and tie up the series tonight. The Pens have a tendency of bouncing back big after defeats and taking a loss to the lowest seed in the Eastern Conference qualifying round can't sit right with them. Note that the Penguins outshot Montreal 41-35 in the opener and they went only 1-for-7 on the power play. The first game was an anomaly. The Pens make things right tonight. 8* play on Pittsburgh Penguins. |
08-03-20 | Rangers v. Hurricanes -135 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 2 h 34 m | Show
SUPER EARLY RANGERS VS. HURRICANES BANKROLL BUILDER The New York Rangers won all four regular season meetings with the Carolina Hurricanes, but the Canes stepped up when it really mattered and claimed Game 1 of this best-of-five series. Can the Rangers make the necessary adjustments to come back and tie up the series today? I don't think so. Rangers' rookie netminder Igor Shesterkin was held out in Game 1 and might miss this contest as well. While the Rangers have a veteran backup in Henrik Lundqvist, it's still a blow to their already shaky defense. The Hurricanes are 18-5 in their last 23 playoff games as a favorite and I'm backing the favorite to take a 2-0 lead in the series. 8* play on Carolina Hurricanes. |
08-02-20 | Flyers +120 v. Bruins | 4-1 | Win | 120 | 318 h 10 m | Show
FLYERS @ BRUINS NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Boston Bruins preparations for the restart could have been better with several players missing practices due to Covid-19 quarantines, among them David Pastrnak and Ondrej Kase. Meanwhile, there have been no such reports from the Flyers camp. Boston deserves to be a favorite home at TD Garden, but all things considered, I think the value on Philly in this particular matchup. 8* play on Philadelphia Flyers. |
08-01-20 | Blackhawks +135 v. Oilers | 6-4 | Win | 135 | 15 h 15 m | Show
BLACKHAWKS VS OILERS SATURDAY AFTERNOON NHL MONEYMAKER I like the Chicago Blackhawks here in this Game 1 of the Stanley Cup qualifiers best-of-five series. The break is likely to have benefitted the Chicago Blackhawks veterans old legs more than the Edmonton Oilers' young guns who probably didn't need a break. Additionally, we can note that Chicago has won two of three head-to-head meetings on the season. 8* play on Chicago Blackhawks. |
08-01-20 | Rangers v. Hurricanes -125 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 1 h 58 m | Show
SUPER EARLY RANGERS @ HURRICANES BREAKFAST BANKROLL BUILDER I like the price we get on the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 1 of their best-of-five Qualifying Series round against the New York Rangers. The Rangers went 4-0 vs. the Hurricanes in the regular season, but while they have proven themselves capable of scoring goals, they struggle big time on the defensive end of the ice conceding 3.14 gpg on the season. In a matchup like this where you don't know where the teams stand following the long hiatus, I'm going with the better blueliners and stronger defensive fundamentals. Rangers are 2-5 in their last 7 postseason games as an underdog. Hurricanes are 17-5 in their last 22 postseason games as a favorite. 8* play on Carolina Hurricanes. |
03-08-20 | Avalanche -157 v. Sharks | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 14 h 5 m | Show
LATE NHL MIDNIGHT MASSACRE *BAILOUT PLAY* The Colorado Avalanche will be looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses after dropping a 6-3 decision to Vancouver at home last time out. They're 5-0 in their last five games following a loss of three or more goals and 7-1 in their last eight games as a road favorite. The San Jose Sharks meanwhile are in a tough spot following a 2-1 overtime loss to Ottawa on Saturday. They're 1-5 in their last six games following OT on the previous day and this will be their third game in four nights; they're 2-14 in their last 16 in the third game of a 3-in-4 situation. 8* play on Colorado Avalanche. |
03-08-20 | Golden Knights -110 v. Flames | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 4 m | Show
VEGAS @ CALGARY POWER PLAY The Vegas Golden Knights have dropped two of their last three following a disappointing 4-0 loss at Winnipeg on Friday. They're 6-0 in their last six after scoring two goals or fewer in their previous game and still a red hot 9-2 in their last 11 overall. As for the Calgary Flames, while they're riding a three-game winning streak, not that they're just 7-20 in their last 27 games as a home underdog. The favorite is 6-0 in the last six head-to-head meetings, and I think we're getting a good price on Vegas as a short road favorite. 8* play on Vegas Golden Knights. |
03-06-20 | Golden Knights -133 v. Jets | 0-4 | Loss | -133 | 10 h 43 m | Show
LATE NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Vegas Golden Knights are arguably the hottest team in the NHL with nine wins in their last 10 games. They'll be looking to avenge a 4-3 OT home loss to Winnipeg from back in November, and this looks like a favorable time with the Jets dropping four of their last six games. 8* play on VEGAS. |
03-03-20 | Maple Leafs -152 v. Sharks | 2-5 | Loss | -152 | 15 h 6 m | Show
LATE NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE *BAILOUT PLAY* The San Jose Sharks have answered a five-game slide with back-to-back wins over New Jersey and Pittsburgh. I think they'll find it tough to make it three in a row though as they'll face a Toronto team that is coming off three consecutive wins. Both teams have had two days off since their last game, but while the Sharks are just 1-7 in their last 8 games playing on two days rest the Leafs are a solid 25-9 in their last 34 games playing on two days rest. No team has a higher goals-per-game average than the Leafs, and the Sharks are allowing a poor 3.2 goals per game (25th). 8* play on Toronto Maple Leafs. |
03-01-20 | Flyers -110 v. Rangers | Top | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 4 h 20 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) - FLYERS @ RANGERS *TOP PLAY* The Philadelphia Flyers will enter Madison Square Garden looking for a sixth straight win. They'll face a NY Rangers team which had been almost equally hot with five straight triumphs prior to a 5-2 loss at Philadelphia Friday night. I think that loss took a lot of air out of this Rangers team, and they've had big troubles solving the Flyers lately dropping eight of the last nine meetings. I think the price is right to back the visitors in this one. 10* play on Philadelphia Flyers. |
02-27-20 | Capitals -138 v. Jets | 0-3 | Loss | -138 | 12 h 7 m | Show
THURSDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Washington Capitals will be looking to take down the Jets for the second time in three nights after defeating Winnipeg 4-3 in a shootout Tuesday night. They're 44-20 in their last 64 in the second game of a home-and-home situation and 28-13 in their last 41 games as a road favorite. The Jets meanwhile are just 6-18 in their last 24 games as an underdog, 1-8 in their last nine games as a home underdog and 2-5 in their last seven in the second game of a home-and-home situation. Winnipeg enters this contest on a three-game losing streak and I don't think it'll be able to keep up with the Caps despite the home-ice advantage. 8* play on Washington Capitals. |
02-25-20 | Oilers -146 v. Ducks | 3-4 | Loss | -146 | 25 h 34 m | Show
LATE NIGHT OILERS @ DUCKS POWER PLAY The Edmonton Oilers are a solid 18-12-2 away from home on the season and 7-3 in their last 10 road games. Here they'll face a Ducks side that has dropped five of its last six games overall, four of those home in the Duck Pond. On Sunday, Anaheim fell 6-5 to Vegas in OT and it is 6-22 in its last 28 games playing on one day of rest. It sits near the bottom of the division while the Oilers are challenging Vegas for the top spot, and I expect an easy win for the visitors in this one. 8* play on Edmonton Oilers. |
02-23-20 | Oilers -134 v. Kings | Top | 4-2 | Win | 100 | 13 h 23 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Edmonton Oilers are in need of a win after dropping back-to-back games, most recently a 5-3 home loss to Minnesota. They're 9-3 in their last 12 after allowing five goals or more in their previous game and I like the price we get on the Oilers at LA on Sunday. The Kings have played fairly well lately with three wins in their last five games, but this is a tough spot following a 2-1 OT loss to Colorado on Saturday. With the Kings 5-11 in their last 16 games following OT on the previous day and 2-6 in their last eight home games, I'll recommend fading the home team in this one. 10* play on Edmonton Oilers. |
02-21-20 | Red Wings v. Islanders -1.5 | 1-4 | Win | 100 | 10 h 39 m | Show
FRIDAY NIGHT NHL PUCKLINE PUNISHER The New York Islanders are a hefty favorite in this Friday night matchup with the Detroit Red Wings, but I think they'll prove well worth the money and rout the visitors. Detroit is coming off a 4-3 win over Montreal, but it had been outscored 16-5 through a four-game skid prior to that, losing each of the last three games by at least three goals. Here the Wings will face an Islanders team desperate to put an end to an 0-4 road trip behind it as the team seeks to remain in the playoff picture. The Islanders are 14-6 in their last 20 games as a home favorite and they've won seven of the last 10 head-to-head meetings with Detroit, including an 8-2 triumph last month. 8* play on NY Islanders. |
02-19-20 | Rangers +117 v. Blackhawks | 6-3 | Win | 117 | 9 h 33 m | Show
WEDNESDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Chicago Blackhawks have dropped six of their last seven games, most recently a 3-2 setback at Winnipeg on Sunday. Returning home to United Center is no guarantee for success as the Hawks are just 12-12-4 in their own building on the season, and they'll host a Rangers team that is 14-11-2 on the road. The Rangers had won four straight (three of them on the road) before taking a 3-1 home loss to Boston last time out. They're 4-1 in their last five games as an underdog and I really like the price we get on the visitors in this matchup. 8* play on New York Rangers. |
02-18-20 | Maple Leafs v. Penguins -132 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 11 h 13 m | Show |
NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE *TOP PLAY* The Penguins are a solid 21-5-4 at home on the season and they've won 10 of the last 14 matchups with the Leafs at Pittsburgh. Toronto is 16-13-1 on the road but 3-8 in its last 11 games as a road underdog. This is a tough spot for the Maple Leafs who have played a lot of hockey lately, and we can note that they are 2-11 in their last 13 in the third game of a 3-in-4 situation and 0-8 in their last 8 in the fourth game of a 4-in-6 situation. While Toronto has split its last six games, Pittsburgh is coming off a pair of dominant outings and I like the Pens to get the job done in this one. 10* play on Pittsburgh Penguins. |
02-17-20 | Capitals v. Golden Knights OVER 6.5 | Top | 2-3 | Loss | -100 | 13 h 59 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED WASHINGTON @ VEGAS TOTAL The Washington Capitals are coming off a pair of low-scoring affairs, but they're stil 36-21 to the over on the season and I feel confident that goals will come fast and easy for both teams in this matchup. The Vegas Golden Knights registered a 1-0 victory over the NY Islanders last time out but they're 7-2 to the over in their last nine home games. Over is 5-0 in the last five meetings. 10* play on OVER. |
02-16-20 | Blackhawks v. Jets -135 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 23 h 60 m | Show
SUNDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Winnipeg Jets are 4-2-1 over their last six games. They're coming off back-to-back home losses to NY Rangers and San Jose but are still 8-3 in their last 11 games as a home favorite. Here they'll host a Chicago Blackhawks team that headed into Saturday's matchup with the Flames off five straight defeats. The Hawks have lost seven of the last nine matchups with the Jets, and playing on no rest won't do the Hawks any favors in this one. I fully expect the home team to skate away with this game. 8* play on Winnipeg Jets. |
02-16-20 | Blue Jackets v. Devils UNDER 5.5 | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -125 | 8 h 4 m | Show |
SUNDAY NIGHT NHL TOTAL BOOKIE BREAKER *TOP PLAY* The Columbus Blue Jackets took a 3-1 loss to the NY Rangers Friday night. Four of their last five have gone under the total, and I predict a tight low-scoring affair when they visit the New Jersey Devils Sunday night. The Devils took a 5-2 loss to Carolina last time out, but that was with Louis Domingue in net. Mackenzie Blackwood will be back in net for this one, and he's been red hot this month with two shutouts and just one goal allowed in three starts. As for Columbus, its netminder Elvis Merzlikins has held opponents to a total of six goals in his last five starts. Under is 7-1 in Devils last 8 Sunday games. Under is 5-1 in Blue Jackets last 6 Sunday games. 10* play on UNDER. |
02-16-20 | Ducks v. Canucks -154 | 5-1 | Loss | -154 | 9 h 51 m | Show
SUNDAY AFTERNOON NHL BANKROLL BUILDER The Vancouver Canucks have been sneaky good this season and enter Sunday top of the Pacific Division. The Nucks have picked up the majority of their points at home (19-6-3 at Rogers Arena) and they're 8-1 in their last nine games as a home favorite. I think they'll pick up a rather comfortable win here against the Anaheim Ducks who are 11-16-4 on the road and coming into this contest off back-to-back losses after getting shut out in a 6-0 loss to Calgary Thursday night. Vancouver has had an additional day of rest since defeating Chicago 3-0 Wednesday night and it is 5-0 in its last five games playing on three or more days rest. 8* play on Vancouver Canucks. |
02-14-20 | Sharks v. Jets UNDER 6.5 | Top | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 17 h 20 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (NHL): MIKE'S BEST TOTAL FOR FEBRUARY The San Jose Sharks took a 6-2 loss to Calgary lats time out, and they've scored just 13 goals through their last five games, six of those in win over Edmonton. The Winnipeg Jets took a 4-1 home loss to the Rangers on Tuesday and are scoring just 2.73 gpg at home on the season. At the same time, they've played decent defense lately allowing only 2.4 gpg over their last five contests. The Sharks average 2.41 gpg on the road and under is 9-3 in Sharks last 12 road games and 12-5-1 in Jets last 18 games as a home favorite. Last but not least, this will be the third meeting of the season with the first two going under the total, both Jets wins at San Jose (3-2 & 5-1). 10* play on UNDER. |
02-13-20 | Rangers v. Wild -131 | Top | 4-3 | Loss | -131 | 20 h 45 m | Show |
TOP RATED NHL PLAY OF THE DAY The Minnesota Wild have won four of their last five following an impressive 4-0 triumph over Vegas Tuesday night. They're one of the stronger home teams in the league at 17-8-4 home at Xcel Energy Center where they average 3.24 goals per game and converting at a 27% clip of their power play opportunities. Additionally, the Wild have stepped up their game on the defensive end lately with just nine goals allowed through their last five overall. The visiting New York Rangers have played well lately with five wins through their last seven games. All but two of those seven games were at home though, and I think they'll come up short against a Rangers team that is 13-6 in its last 19 games as a home favorite. 10* play on Minnesota Wild. |
02-12-20 | Blackhawks v. Canucks -139 | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 21 m | Show
WEDNESDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Chicago Blackhawks have dropped five of their last six games, and here they'll be playing on no rest following a 5-3 loss at Edmonton Tuesday night. The Vancouver Canucks snapped a four-game skid with a 6-2 win at Nashville on Monday to improve to 18-6-3 home at Rogers Arena on the season. The Nucks are 7-1 in their last 8 games as a home favorite, 11-3 in their last 14 vs. Western Conference teams and 7-2 in the last nine meetings with Chicago. 8* play on Vancouver Canucks. |
02-10-20 | Lightning -105 v. Blue Jackets | Top | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 12 h 0 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED MONEYLINE The white-hot Tampa Bay Lightning travel to Ohio riding a six-game winning streak, and I think they'll extend it with a triumph over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Columbus is 12-2-1 since New Year, but it has won only three of its last five while scoring a total of just nine goals during that stretch. Such anemic offense won't cut it against a Tampa Bay side that ranks second in the league for goals scored while boasting the fifth-best power play percentage. The Blue Jackets are one of the better teams in the league on the defensive end, but this is a less than ideal spot as they'll be playing their third game in four nights and I don't see them stopping the Lightning who are 18-2-1 since December 23rd. 10* play on Tampa Bay Lightning. |
02-04-20 | Oilers v. Coyotes -115 | Top | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 17 h 29 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (NHL): BEST NHL MONEYLINE FOR FEBRUARY I like the Arizona Coyotes to end a five-game slide and come through with a win when they host the Edmonton Oilers Tuesday night, particularly, as the visitors might feel a bit too good about themselves after winning four of their last five and defeating Calgary 8-3 on the road last time out. The Yotes have had two days off since a disappointing 3-2 shootout loss to Chicago and they're 5-0 in their last five games playing on two days rest. With motivation and urgency favoring the home team, I think this is a no brainer spot to back Arizona. 10* play on Arizona Coyotes. |
02-01-20 | Blues -150 v. Jets | 2-5 | Loss | -150 | 7 h 14 m | Show
SATURDAY NIGHT NHL NO BRAINER The St. Louis Blues and the Winnipeg Jets will both be playing on no rest, but I think this situation favors the visiting Blues. Winnipeg has lost five straight following a 2-1 loss at Boston last night. It has been outscored 22-8 during the slide and the team has not had much of a home-ice advantage all season (11-12-2). The defending Stanley Cup champion St. Louis Blues meanwhile are 14-9-4 on the road, and even though they're 1-3-1 in the last five games following a 4-2 setback at Edmonton on Friday, there's too much quality in this team to not turn it around shortly. Blues are 7-1 in their last 8 games playing on 0 days rest and 12-4 in their last 16 games as a favorite. Jets are 1-4 in their last 5 games playing on 0 days rest and 0-7 in their last 7 games as a home underdog. 8* play on St. Louis Blues. |
01-31-20 | Lightning v. Ducks +177 | 4-3 | Loss | -100 | 20 h 14 m | Show
LATE FRIDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MONEYMAKER The Anaheim Ducks are just 20-25-9 on the season, but they have been playing better lately with three wins in their last four games. Here they host a Tampa Bay Lightning team that has traded wins and losses over its last six games, and as the team is coming off a 4-2 win at LA a loss here is not out of the question. This is a fairly tough spot for the Lightning who have been on the road since January 16, and I would not be surprised to see them look past the Ducks with a more interesting matchup with Vegas on deck. The Ducks are not a pushover home in the Duck Pond (12-9-3) and the price warrants taking a position on the home team in this one. 8* play on Anaheim Ducks. |
01-29-20 | Lightning v. Kings +1.5 | 4-2 | Loss | -145 | 17 h 13 m | Show
WEDNESDAY NIGHT NHL PUCKLINE PUNISHER The Los Angeles Kings have picked up 11 of their 18 wins home at Staples Center. They host the Tampa Bay Lightning Wednesday night, and while an outright win might a tough ask, I like the Kings to keep it within a goal. Tampa Bay took a 3-2 OT loss at Dallas Monday in its first game back from the All Star festivities, and on the season it is a shocking 1-8 SU in games following a game where it went past regulation. The Kings are 4-4 in games where their opponent went past regulation last time out, with three of those four losses being one-goal affairs. 8* play on LA Kings +1.5. |
01-21-20 | Penguins v. Flyers +116 | 0-3 | Win | 116 | 9 h 44 m | Show
PENGUINS @ FLYERS NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Pittsburgh Penguins are winners of six of their last eight, but I think they're in for a tough one at Philadelphia Tuesday night. The Flyers are a solid 16-4-4 home at Wells Fargo Center on the season and they've won seven of their last nine home games. Additionally, they've had two days of rest since defeating LA Kings 4-1 while the Penguins will be playing their fourth game in six nights and the Flyers will be seeking revenge for a 7-1 loss at Pittsburgh on October 29. 8* play on Philadelphia Flyers. |
01-18-20 | Stars v. Wild +104 | 0-7 | Win | 104 | 24 h 9 m | Show
LATE NIGHT STARS @ WILD MONEYLINE MASSACRE Minnesota has dropped six of its last eight games, but it defeated Tampa Bay as a home underdog on Thursday and I like the price we got on the Wild when hosting Dallas on Saturday. The Stars have lost two of their last three after taking a 4-1 loss as a -200 favorite against Buffalo last time out. The lone win during that stretch came in OT and they're 2-7 in their last 9 games as a road favorite and have lost five of the last seven meetings with the Wild at Xcel Energy Center. Minnesota is solid at home (12-5-4) and should be well up for this home game against a division rival. 8* play on Minnesota Wild. |
01-17-20 | Lightning v. Jets +121 | Top | 7-1 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 3 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL): MIKE'S TOP RATED MONEYLINE The Winnipeg Jets have dropped six of their last seven home at Bell MTS Place, but I absolutely love the price we get on the Jets when they host Tampa Bay Friday night. Note that the Lightning will be playing on no rest (and third game in four nights) after taking a 3-2 loss at Minnesota on Thursday while the Jets have had two full days to recover from a 4-0 triumph over Vancouver. The home team is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings and the underdog is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings. 10* play on Winnipeg Jets. |
01-16-20 | Flames v. Maple Leafs -154 | 2-1 | Loss | -154 | 20 h 43 m | Show
THURSDAY NIGHT NHL MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Toronto Maple Leafs snapped a three-game skid with a 7-4 win against New Jersey on Tuesday. They're 7-2 in their last nine games following a win and look good to make it two in a row here against a Calgary team that was shut out in a loss at Montreal last time out and has scored just eight goals through its last four games. The Leafs own one of the highest-scoring offenses in the league and they've won six of the last seven when hosting Calgary. 8* play on Toronto Maple Leafs. |
01-13-20 | Flames v. Canadiens -105 | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 7 m | Show
SUBSCRIBERS ONLY The Montreal Canadiens snapped an ugly eight-game losing streak with a 2-1 overtime win at Ottawa on Saturday. Goals have been extremely hard to come by for the Habs lately and here they'll face a Calgary team that has allowed a total of six goals through its last three games. Under is 6-1-1 in Flames last 8 games as a road favorite and 18-6-3 in their last 27 when their opponent scores 2 goals or less in their previous game. Under is 6-1 in Canadiens last 7 overall. Under is 4-1-1 in the last 6 meetings. Additionally, I think Montreal will be desperate to build on its win last time out while Calgary could be in a letdown spot following five straight victories. 8* play on Montreal Canadiens. |
