01-18-18 | Blues v. Senators OVER 5.5 | 4-1 | Loss | -104 | 9 h 56 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The St. Louis Blues snapped a three-game skid with a 2-1 OT triumph at Toronto two nights ago. I think they'll build on that momentum and defeat the Ottawa Senators in a high-scoring contest here Thursday night. The Sens have won three of their last four with each game going over the total. They've conceded 19 goals during that span though and the Blues have had plenty of success here at Canadian Tire Centre in recent years, including a 6-0 victory on their last visit. My selection is an 8* play on Over. |
01-16-18 | Golden Knights v. Predators OVER 5.5 | Top | 0-1 | Loss | -113 | 12 h 24 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* VEGAS @ NASHVILLE TOTAL The Vegas Golden Knights will visit the Nashville Predators Tuesday night, and I think we'll see plenty of action on the scoreboard. Nashville has had a full week off and over is 5-2-1 in its last eight games playing on three or more days rest while Vegas took a 3-2 OT loss against Edmonton on Saturday, and over is 9-2-2 in Golden Knights last 13 games playing on two days rest. The Golden Knights won the last meeting 3-0 home in Vegas earlier this month, but the lone encounter here at Bridgestone Arena back in December saw a total of seven goals. The Preds are averaging a healthy 3.47 gpg in front of the home town crowd and Vegas is giving up 3.30 gpg on the road. My selection is a 10* play on Over. |
01-15-18 | Sharks v. Kings -125 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -125 | 8 h 54 m | Show |
CALIFORNIA CRUSHER - SHARKS @ KINGS The LA Kings will be desperate to end a three-game slide and they'll be looking to avenge a 2-1 loss to the Sharks here at Staples Center on Dec. 23. They're still 11-7-3 in front of the home town crowd and the Sharks are just 3-14 in their last 17 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Motivation and revenge factor favor the Kings here. My selection is a 10* play on LA Kings. |
01-14-18 | Flames v. Hurricanes -115 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -115 | 3 h 35 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL POWER PLAY The Calgary Flames come to Carolina riding a six-game winning streak, each of the last three on the road. I'm not quite sure how much gas they've got left in the tank for this game though, and this looks like a more than fair price on the Hurricanes. Carolina has lost three of its last four, but it's worth noting that the Canes out-shot Washington 39-27 despite losing 4-3 their last time out. The Hurricanes are 10-4 in their last 14 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and the home team is 14-6-2 in the last 22 meetings in this series. My selection is a 10* play on Carolina Hurricanes. |
01-12-18 | Jets v. Blackhawks -106 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 54 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The Chicago Blackhawks will be seeking to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Minnesota here at United Center on Wednesday. They're 11-7-2 in front of the home town crowd and here they'll host a Winnipeg Jets side that is 1-8 in its last nine road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Winnipeg is coming off a 7-4 win at Buffalo, but taking on the Blackhawks at Chicago is a whole different story. My selection is an 8* play on Chicago Blackhawks. |
01-12-18 | Flames +110 v. Panthers | 4-2 | Win | 110 | 9 h 52 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The red hot Calgary Flames are aiming for a sixth consecutive win when they visit the Florida Panthers Friday night. They've played a tough schedule and are coming off a 5-1 win at Tampa Bay last night, but note that the Flames are 5-2 in their last seven games playing on no rest and 5-0 in their last five in the third game of a 3-in-4 situation. Under is 7-2 in Flames last nine road games and although they're expected to go with backup David Rittich in the crease, note that he has posted a solid 2.04 GAA through five games on the season. The Florida Panthers closed out a four-game road trip (and snapped a three-game slide) with a 7-4 triumph at St. Louis on Tuesday. They had however averaged just 2.17 gpg over their previous 12 games. The Flames have won the last three meetings, including a 4-2 triumph at Florida last February. I think they'll win a low-scoring contest tonight. My selection is an 8* play on Calgary Flames. |
01-12-18 | Flames v. Panthers UNDER 5.5 | 4-2 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 51 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The red hot Calgary Flames are aiming for a sixth consecutive win when they visit the Florida Panthers Friday night. My selection is an 8* play on Under. |
01-11-18 | Blue Jackets -135 v. Sabres | Top | 1-3 | Loss | -135 | 17 h 45 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL NO-BRAINER The Columbus Blue Jackets go for their third straight victory when they visit the skidding Sabres on Thursday night. Buffalo has dropped five in a row and it has allowed four of more goals in each of its last four games. The Sabres took a 7-4 beating by Dallas here at KeyBank Center Tuesday night and are just 3-11 in their last 14 games playing on one days rest and 1-5 in their last six games following a home loss of three or more goals. Columbus meanwhile last played Monday and is 23-7 in its last 30 games playing on two days rest. My selection is a 10* play on Columbus Blue Jackets. |
01-10-18 | Wild v. Blackhawks -116 | 2-1 | Loss | -116 | 12 h 24 m | Show
NHL POWER PLAY The Chicago Blackhawkws are coming off an 8-2 win at Ottawa Tuesday night while the Minnesota Wild took a 3-2 OT loss against Calgary. Over is 5-2 in Wild's last seven overall and 4-1-1 in their last six games following OT on the previous day. Over 6-1 in Blackhawks last seven overall and 13-4-3 in Blackhawks last 20 in the third game of a 3-in-4 days situation. Chicago is averaging 3.53 gpg home at United Center while Minnesota is giving up 3.64 gpg on the road. Blackhawks are 15-6 in their last 21 after scoring five goals or more in their previous game while the Wild are 3-15 in their last 18 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. My money is on Chicago to prevail in a high-scoring affair. My selection is an 8* play on Chicago Blackhawks. |
01-10-18 | Wild v. Blackhawks OVER 5.5 | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 23 m | Show
NHL POWER PLAY TOTAL The Chicago Blackhawkws are coming off an 8-2 win at Ottawa Tuesday night while the Minnesota Wild took a 3-2 OT loss against Calgary. My selection is an 8* play on Over. |
01-09-18 | Flames v. Wild -135 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -135 | 16 h 50 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) Good spot to back the Minnesota Wild as they seek to bounce back from a 7-2 beating at Colorado. They're 5-0 in their last five games following a loss of three or more goals and 4-0 in their last four home games giving us our perfect 9-0 angle. The Calgary Flames meanwhile are due for a let down game after sweeping a three-game homestand. They've lost each of their last two on the road and they're 4-9 in their last 13 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. The Wild has earned at least a point in 12 of their last 13 games at Xcel Energy Center since Nov. 14, posting an 11-1-1 record in that span and 2-0 against Calgary on the season. My NHL Game of the Week is a 10* play on Minnesota Wild. |
01-07-18 | Panthers v. Blue Jackets -160 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 52 m | Show
SUNDAY NHL NO-BRAINER The Columbus Blue Jackets have struggled lately, but I think they'll get back on track here as they seek to bounce back from a 2-0 loss at Colorado on Thursday. They're 22-7 in their last 29 games playing on two days rest and 21-5 in their last 26 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400, which the Florida Panthers have with a poor 7-12-2 road record. The Panthers have mustered only three goals in back-to-back losses at Minnesota and Detroit, and Columbus' netminder Sergei Bobrovsky is 10-1-2 with a 2.02 goals-against average and .937 save percentage in previous meetings with the Panthers. The Panthers are 1-8 in the last nine meetings in Columbus. My selection is an 8* play on Columbus Blue Jackets. |
01-06-18 | Predators v. Kings -117 | 4-3 | Loss | -117 | 14 h 35 m | Show
LATE NHL NIGHTCRAWLER - PREDS @ KINGS The LA Kings are back home from a three-game trek through Western Canada which concluded with a 4-3 loss at Calgary Thursday night. The Kings are 7-2 in their last nine games playing on one days rest and 5-1 in their last six home games. Here they'll host the Nashville Predators who are coming off back-to-back losses, the most recent a 3-2 OT defeated at Arizona on Thursday. They're just 2-6 in their last eight overall and 1-4 in their last five road games. The Preds will have to do without their team leader Filip Forsberg who has been ruled out for four to six weeks with an upper-body ailment. My selection is an 8* play on LA Kings. |
01-06-18 | Wild v. Avalanche OVER 5.5 | Top | 2-7 | Win | 100 | 23 h 60 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) - MIKE'S TOP RATED 10* BEST BET The Colorado Avalanche enter this contest on a four-game winning streak. They're scoring 3.50 goals per game home at Pepsi Center on the season, and here they'll host a Wild side that has scored 11 goals during a two-game winning streak and 19 through its last five games. Minnesota is giving up plenty of goals on the road (3.48 gpg) and over is 11-5-2 in Wild last 18 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. The Avs are coming off a 2-0 triumph over Columbus and over is 17-5 in Colorado's last 22 after scoring two goals or fewer in its previous game. My NHL Game of the Week is a 10* play on MIN @ COL Over. |
01-06-18 | Blues -103 v. Flyers | 3-6 | Loss | -103 | 4 h 17 m | Show
SUPER EARLY NHL NO-BRAINER - BLUES @ FLYERS The St. Louis Blues are coming off a perfect three-game homestand, and I think they'll carry the momentum to Philadelphia Saturday afternoon. The Flyers are coming off a 6-4 triumph against the Islanders, but they've dropped four of their last six overall and four of their last five home games vs. a team with a winning road record. The Blues are a solid 11-7-2 on the road and seeking revenge for a 2-0 home loss to Philly back in November. My selection is an 8* play on St. Louis Blues. |
01-05-18 | Sharks -111 v. Senators | Top | 5-6 | Loss | -111 | 10 h 15 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL POWER PLAY The San Jose Sharks took an OT loss at Toronto last night. It's however worth noting that they're 5-0 in their last five games following OT on the previous day, and I think they'll have enough gas in the tank left to make a quick recovery with a victory here at Ottawa Friday night. The Sens are slumping big time, coming off back-to-back losses, scoring only one goal in the process and they've mustered only one win through their last seven games. My selection is a 10* play on San Jose Sharks. |
01-04-18 | Ducks +116 v. Oilers | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 19 h 39 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The Anaheim Ducks have heated up lately, entering this matchup with the Edmonton Oilers on a three-game winning streak, the most recent a 5-0 triumph at Vancouver Tuesday night. They're a perfect 8-0 in their last eight vs. a team with a losing record and the Oilers (17-20-2) fits the bill. Edmonton has lost four in a row, the last three at home, and it has lost both its last two games by a 5-0 score. Reigning Hart Trophy winner Connor McDavid (team-high 45 points) has gone three straight games without a point and netminder Cam Talbot has surrendered 18 goals and posted a mere .877 save percentage during the four-game losing streak. My selection is an 8* play on Anaheim Ducks. |
01-04-18 | Lightning -160 v. Canadiens | 1-2 | Loss | -160 | 17 h 9 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The NHL-leading Tampa Bay Lightning have opened a five-game road trip with a pair of victories by shutout, and I think they'll make light work of the Canadiens here at Montreal Thursday night. The Habs have managed just a total of four goals during a five-game slide and the only goal Tampa Bay netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy has permitted in his last four games was a power-play tally in the 3-1 victory Dec. 28 against Montreal. The Lightning are 3-0-1 in the last four head-to-head meetings with the Habs. My selection is an 8* play on Tampa Bay Lightning. |
01-04-18 | Islanders v. Flyers -120 | 4-6 | Win | 100 | 17 h 40 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The Philadelphia Flyers have lost four of their last five games, but only the last of those defeats came home at Wells Fargo Center as they took a 5-1 loss to Pittsburgh Tuesday night. They're 9-3 in their last 12 games following a home loss of three or more goals and looking good to bounce back here against a slumping Islanders side that has lost three straight overall and each of their last six on the road. The Flyers had won six of seven in the all-time series against the Isles prior to dropping both ends of a home-and-home set - each in overtime - in late November. Good spot for Philly to exact revenge tonight. My selection is an 8* play on Philadelphia Flyers. |
01-03-18 | Blackhawks v. Rangers -143 | Top | 5-2 | Loss | -143 | 18 h 36 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* MIDWEEK MAJOR WAGER (NHL) The Blackhawks closed out last year with five straight games away from Chicago, and they'll open 2018 on the road as well before playing eight of their next nine home in United Center. I think it's a major chance they'll look past the New York Rangers here Wednesday night. The Rangers are coming off a 3-2 overtime win over Buffalo in the Winter Classic on New Year's Day. They've been extremely hard to beat home at Madison Square Garden lately, winning 13 of their last 16 home games. The Blackhawks meanwhile have managed only one victory over the last five games and have dropped seven of their last nine away from home. They're 2-10 in their last 12 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and we can note that netminder Corey Crawford is back on injured reserve for the second time this season. My selection is a 10* play on New York Rangers. |
01-02-18 | Panthers v. Wild -135 | 1-5 | Win | 100 | 15 h 52 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The Florida Panthers closed out 2017 with five straight victories (the last four at home), but I think they'll open the new year with a loss here at Minnesota. The Panthers are just 7-10-2 on the road this season and the Wild are among the strongest home teams in the NHL at 12-4-2. They've won seven of the last eight home at Xcel Energy Center and the Wild will no doubt be angry and ready to bounce back from a 3-0 loss at Nashville on Dec. 30. My selection is an 8* play on Minnesota Wild. |
01-02-18 | Sharks v. Canadiens -108 | 4-1 | Loss | -108 | 15 h 37 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The Montreal Canadiens will be eager to play in front of the home fans and desperate for a win after closing out 2017 with seven straight games on the road and four consecutive losses. The San Jose Sharks had a three-game winning streak come to an end when they were shut out in a 6-0 loss at Dallas on New Year's Eve. The Sharks are just 1-5 in their last six road games and the home team is 16-5 in the last 21 meetings with the Habs. My selection is an 8* play on Montreal Canadiens. |
01-02-18 | Capitals v. Hurricanes -110 | Top | 5-4 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 3 m | Show |
NHL 3-PACK The Carolina Hurricanes had won four in a row before taking a 3-2 loss at St. Louis on Dec. 30. They are not getting much respect here despite entering the new year with a 10-4-2 home record and clinching all five of their home games in December. They'll host a Capitals team coming off back-to-back victories home at Washington, but the Caps have dropped three straight on the road and they were held scoreless in the last two. Home team is 5-1 in the last six meetings. My selection is a 10* play on Carolina Hurricanes. |
12-31-17 | Blackhawks v. Flames UNDER 6 | 3-4 | Loss | -115 | 22 h 24 m | Show
LATE NIGHT NHL NO-BRAINER I think the crowd will be massively disappointed if it's expecting fireworks here at the Saddledome on New Years Eve. The Calgary Flames are coming off a 2-1 loss at Anaheim, and they've been involved in several low-scoring affairs lately with seven of their last eight going under the total. They'll host a Chicago Blackhawks team which has seen the under/over go 6-2-1 in its last nine overall and 10-2-1 in its last 13 against a team with a losing record. To wrap it up; note that under is 12-3-1 in the last 16 head-to-head meetings. My selection is an 8* play on Under. |
12-31-17 | Maple Leafs v. Golden Knights -133 | Top | 3-6 | Win | 100 | 18 h 36 m | Show |
EARLY TOP RATED 10* NHL POWER PLAY The Vegas Golden Knights are almost unbeatable home at T-Mobile Arena, going 15-2-0 for the season. They've had two days rest as they enter this matchup with the Toronto Maple Leafs riding a six-game winning streak, with the last two coming on the road. The Maple Leafs meanwhile will play their third game in four nights and fifth straight on the road. Toronto has a winning road record for the season but it has lost five of its last seven away from home. My selection is a 10* play on Vegas Golden Knights. |
12-30-17 | Canadiens v. Panthers UNDER 5.5 | Top | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 11 h 54 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL TOTAL POWER PLAY The Florida Panthers are coming off four straight victories, allowing a total of only six goals during that stretch. Under is 6-2 in Panthers last eight overall and here they'll host a sputtering Canadiens team that has lost three straight contests while scoring just one goal in each game. This will be the Habs third game in four nights and under is 11-3-1 in their last 15 in the third game of a 3-in-4 days situation. Under is 4-1-4 in the last nine meetings at BB&T Center. My selection is a 10* play on Under. |
12-29-17 | Flames v. Ducks -130 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 24 m | Show
LATE NIGHT NHL NO-BRAINER The Calgary Flames took a 3-2 shootout loss at San Jose last night, and this looks like a tough spot to take on the Ducks in the Duck Pond on no rest. These teams met early in the season at Calgary where the Flames beat the Ducks 2-0. Anaheim has however completely owned the Flames on home ice for quite some time, winning 29 of its last 30 home games against them! The Ducks took a 4-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday, but good news is the fact that former Selke Trophy winner Ryan Kesler made his return from injury. We can also note that the Ducks are 5-1 in their last six games following a home loss of three or more goals. The Flames have scored two goals or fewer in six of their last seven games, going 2-3-2 in that stretch, and I don't think they'll keep up with the Ducks tonight. My selection is an 8* play on Anaheim Ducks. |
12-29-17 | Penguins v. Hurricanes -119 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 16 h 44 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) The Pittsburgh Penguins are coming off a 5-4 shootout victory over Columbus on Wednesday, but they will have four players sidelined here at Carolina Friday night. The Penguins were already without defenseman Kris Letang and got hit with injuries to right winger Bryan Rust, defenseman Chad Ruhwedel and goaltender Matt Murray in Wednesday's win. The Pens have had a disappointing season, particularly on the road and they're just 4-10 in their last 14 road games, including 0-4 in their last four road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The Carolina Hurricanes are a solid 9-4-2 home at PNC Arena on the season, winning each of their last five. The Pens and the Canes enter this contest tied in points, but Carolina has played two fewer games and so it sits one spot ahead of the seventh-place Penguins in the Metropolitan Division. This is the first of four meetings this season, with the first three meetings coming within a four-week span. The Pens have owned the series in recent seasons winning seven straight matchups, but the Canes will smell blood here and I think they'll get the job done in front of the home fans in Raleigh. My NHL Game of the Week is a 10* play on Carolina Hurricanes. |
12-28-17 | Flames v. Sharks -115 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 12 h 36 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The San Jose Sharks blanked the Kings 2-0 their last time out. The Calgary Flames have struggled to score lately and here it'll face one of the best defensive teams in the NHL with the Sharks ranking 2nd in the league in goals against. The Flames are 9-4-1 on the road this season but only 1-4 in their last five road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The Sharks have won five of their last six home in the Shark Tank and the home team is 4-1 in the last five meetings in this series. I expect the Sharks to take care of business here Thursday night. My selection is an 8* play on San Jose Sharks. |
12-28-17 | Blackhawks -134 v. Canucks | 2-5 | Loss | -134 | 11 h 9 m | Show
NHL 3-PACK The Chicago Blackhawks entered the Christmas break on a two-game losing streak, and I think they'll be determined to end the skid when they visit the Vancouver Canucks Thursday night. The Nucks have lost four straight and eight of their last nine (1-7-1), including five of their last six games here at Rogers Arena, so the home ice advantage is minuscule. As for a longer term trend, they're 6-25 in their last 31 home games! Chicago will have to do without Corey Crawford for at least the next three days as he was placed on injured reserve Wednesday. Anton Forsberg (1-4-3, 3.13 GAA) is expected to start the next three games and I expect the skaters to step up their game to help him out. The Nucks have also been hit hard with injuries after losing Sven Baertschi and Bo Horvat earlier this month for at least a month each. Blackhawks are 4-1 in the last five meetings. My selection is an 8* play on Chicago Blackhawks. |
12-28-17 | Bruins v. Capitals -123 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 42 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL The Boston Bruins enter this contest on a five-game winning streak, but four of those were home at TD Garden and I think they're about to run into some serious trouble here at Washington Thursday night. The Caps will finally play home at Capital One Arena again following a four-game road trip. They'll be desperate for a win after losing the final three contests and note that Washington is still a perfect 6-0-0 at home this month. The Caps have won their last five games against the Bruins here at home and the last 11 games in the series overall. My selection is a 10* play on Washington Capitals. |
12-23-17 | Jets v. Islanders -117 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 12 h 8 m | Show |
SUPER EARLY TOP RATED 10* NHL - JETS @ ISLANDERS The New York Islanders have suffered back-to-back losses to Detroit and Anaheim home at Barclay Center, but they're still an impressive 10-3-2 at home on the season. I think they'll give the home fans something to cheer for today. The Islanders enter this contest ranked 2nd in the league in scoring at 3.51 gpg and even better 4.19 gpg at home. Winnipeg has struggled to score on the road all season long and it has dropped seven of its last eight on the road. The Islanders have won four of the last five head-to-head meetings. My selection is a 10* play on New York Islanders. |
12-22-17 | Canadiens v. Flames UNDER 5.5 | Top | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 16 h 22 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL POWER PLAY (TOTAL) The Calgary Flames are coming off a 2-1 victory over St. Louis. They've been involved in several low-scoring games lately with over/under 4-1 in their last five games. Under is 5-1 in Flames last six after scoring two goals or fewer in their previous game and they have given up only 13 regulation goals over the past eight contests overall. Tonight the Flames will host a Montreal Canadiens team that put a 7-5 beating on the Canucks in Vancouver three days ago, but such offensive outbursts have been few and far between for the Habs. They had scored only a total of eight goals through their last five games prior to that and under is 8-1-1 in Canadiens last 10 when their opponent allows two goals or fewer in their previous game. My selection is a 10* play on Under. |
12-21-17 | Blues v. Oilers -128 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 14 h 19 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL MONEYLINE MONEYMAKER The St. Louis Blues have lost four of their last five games and scored only a total of four goals during that stretch. They took a 2-1 loss at Calgary last night and this will be their fourth game in six nights ( Blues are 2-5 in their last seven in the last game of a 4-in-6 situation). Here they'll face an Edmonton Oilers team on the rise, coming off solid triumphs against Minnesota and San Jose to make it three in its last four contests. Edmonton has been dealing with injuries to its blueliners but Adam Larsson returned from an upper-body injury in Monday's win against the Sharks and Andrej Sekera is slated to make his season debut here against the Blues following knee surgery. Edmonton had won four straight head-to-head meetings before dropping the first two encounters with St. Louis this season. This looks like a good spot to back the Oilers to get back on track in the series. My selection is a 10* play on Edmonton Oilers. |

12-21-17 | Ducks v. Islanders -144 | 5-4 | Loss | -144 | 9 h 44 m | Show
NHL NO-BRAINER The New York Islanders are strong home at Barclays Center and enter this matchup with the Anaheim Ducks with a 10-3-1 home record for the season. They had won four straight encounters with the Ducks before taking a 3-2 loss at Anaheim back in October. I like them to get revenge tonight. Anaheim opened a six-game road swing with a 3-1 win at St. Louis, but it has lost three straight games since and this will be the Ducks third game in four nights. They're 5-16 in their last 21 games playing on one days rest and 0-7 in their last seven in the third game of a 3-in-4 situation. The Islanders will be looking to bounce back from a 6-3 home loss against Detroit, and they're 10-2 in their last 12 games following a loss of three or more goals. My selection is an 8* play on NY Islanders. |
12-20-17 | Blues v. Flames -116 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 20 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL NO-LIMIT NIGHT PLAY The St. Louis Blues opened their four-game road trip with a 4-0 loss at Winnipeg, the second time in their last four games they've been blanked. They've scored only a total of three goals through their last four contests and I think they're in for another tough matchup here at Calgary Wednesday night. The Flames are coming off a solid 6-1 triumph and Vancouver Sunday night and they're 12-3 in their last 15 games playing on two days rest. Calgary is just 8-10 here at Scotiabank Saddledome, compared to going 9-7 on the road and it needs to start performing better in its own building. The Flames defeated the Blues 7-4 here on Nov. 13 and I'm counting on the them to do it again. My selection is a 10* play on Calgary Flames. |
12-19-17 | Lightning -138 v. Golden Knights | 3-4 | Loss | -138 | 14 h 46 m | Show
LATE NIGHT NHL - LIGHTNING @ VEGAS The Vegas Golden Knights have been tough to beat in their own building all season going 13-2-0 home at T-Mobile Arena. I think they're in for a tough matchup here though when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning Tuesday night. The Lightning are top of the league with a 24-6-2 record, and they've not had any trouble to play on the road entering this game with an 11-4-1 record away from home. Tampa has taken the first three contests on its current four-game road trip that will conclude here in Vegas. The Lightning should have Andrei Vasilevskiy back in net after resting him in Saturday's 6-5 triumph at Colorado. Vasilevskiy is 5-0-0 record with a .944 save percentage so far this month. Vegas has done extremely well in front of the home fans, but Tampa Bay (currently on a seven game winning streak) is just on another level. My selection is an 8* play on Tampa Bay Lightning. |
12-19-17 | Capitals v. Stars -115 | Top | 4-3 | Loss | -115 | 20 h 14 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (NHL) The Washington Capitals travel to Dallas riding a three-game winning streak and they've won seven of their last eight, but I'm confident they'll come up short here at American Airlines Center Tuesday night. The Stars concluded a promising four-game road trip with back-to-back losses and will be looking to help Ken Hitchcock earn his 800th career coaching win in front of the home fans tonight instead. Stars are 10-3 in their last 13 home games and they've had plenty of time to rest and recover since Saturday's OT loss at Philadelphia. The Stars have owned the Caps in recent seasons, winning 17 of the last 21 encounters. My money is on that trend to continue. My NHL Game of the Month is a 10* play on Dallas Stars. |
12-19-17 | Wild +102 v. Senators | 6-4 | Win | 102 | 12 h 37 m | Show
NHL NO-BRAINER The Ottawa Senators are coming off back-to-back triumphs against the Rangers and the Habs, but they're still only 3-12 through their last 15 games. The Minnesota Wild had won four in a row before setbacks against the Oilers and the Blackhawks in their last two games. They took a 4-1 beating at Chicago on Sunday, but it's worth noting that the Wild are 6-1 in their last seven games following a loss of three or more goals and 13-8 after losing back-to-back games since the start of the 2016/2017 season. My selection is an 8* play on Minnesota Wild. |
12-18-17 | Sharks v. Oilers -130 | Top | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 11 h 4 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL POWER PLAY The San Jose Sharks have earned at least a point in each of their last six games, but they're likely to have to do without their leading scorer Logan Couture (head) when they visit the Edmonton Oilers Monday night. The Oilers have alternated wins and losses through their last nine games, so statistically they should be due for a loss here coming off a 3-2 triumph at Minnesota on Saturday. They're however 4-1 in the last five meetings with the Sharks, and I think they'll start this three-game homestand with a victory. My selection is a 10* play on Edmonton Oilers. |
12-18-17 | Ducks v. Devils -122 | 3-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 34 m | Show
DUCKS @ DEVILS BANKROLL BUILDER The New Jersey Devils are 18-9-3 on the season, but they're still not getting much respect from the bookmakers. I think we're getting an excellent price on the Devils here when they host the Anaheim Ducks Monday night. Anaheim look to extend its point streak to eight contests, but this is a tough spot for the Ducks, playing their third road game in a row after splitting a pair of decisions at St. Louis and Washington. New Jersey on the other hand continues a six-game homestand that began Friday with a 5-2 triumph over Dallas, and they've won 12 of the last 16 matchups with the Ducks home at Prudential Center. My selection is an 8* play on New Jersey Devils. |
12-16-17 | Stars v. Flyers -120 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 19 h 22 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL POWER PLAY I expect fatigue to become an issue for the Dallas Stars here as they'll play their third game in four nights and on no rest following a 5-2 setback at New Jersey last night. They'll come up against a Philadelphia Flyers team that is looking to improve on a five-game winning streak, conceding just a total of eight goals during that stretch. The Stars have won four of the last five meetings overall but only two of the last seven here at Wells Fargo Center. My selection is a 10* play on Philadelphia Flyers. |
12-15-17 | Sharks -137 v. Canucks | 3-4 | Loss | -137 | 10 h 12 m | Show
LATE NIGHT NHL NO-BRAINER The San Jose Sharks will play for the second time in two nights when they visit the Vancouver Canucks Friday night. I still think they'll get the better of this Nucks side that took a 7-1 loss to Nashville on Wednesday, and they're just 5-22 in their last 27 home games. The Sharks won 3-2 at Calgary last night despite giving netminder Martin Jones the night off. He'll be back between the pipes tonight, and I expect him to lead the Sharks to another triumph. My selection is an 8* play on San Jose Sharks. |
12-15-17 | Kings v. Rangers UNDER 5.5 | Top | 2-4 | Loss | -118 | 10 h 38 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL POWER PLAY (TOTAL) The Los Angeles Kings have been lights out lately, but they saw their eight-game winning streak come to a halt with a 5-1 setback in New Jersey on Tuesday. Under is 3-0-1 in Kings last four after allowing five goals or more in their previous game and 3-0-2 in their last five following a loss of three or more goals. I expect the Kings to put prioritize defense in this game. The New York Rangers have scored a total of just three goals through their last two games. My selection is a 10* play on Under. |
12-14-17 | Blackhawks v. Jets -126 | 5-1 | Loss | -126 | 17 h 19 m | Show
3-PACK The Winnipeg Jets beat the Chicago Blackhawks four times in five games last season. They're a rock solid 10-0-1 in their past 11 home games after dropping two of their first three home games this season and snapped a three-game skid with Monday’s impressive 5-1 victory over Vancouver. “Coming home and playing in front of this crowd every night is pretty amazing,” Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers told reporters after scoring one of four unanswered goals. The Chicago Blackhawks had lost five straight before reeling off three consecutive triumphs home at United Center, but they're not quite as dangerous on the road. My selection is an 8* play on Winnipeg Jets. |
12-12-17 | Hurricanes v. Golden Knights -143 | 3-2 | Loss | -143 | 13 h 58 m | Show
LATE NIGHT NHL NO-BRAINER The Vegas Golden Knights have made the most of home ice advantage here in their inaugural season, going 11-2-0 home at T-Mobile Arena. Tonight they'll take on a Carolina Hurricanes team that is 0-2-2 on its current six-game road trip and has lost six straight away from home (0-3-3). Vegas could have its No. 1 goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury back in the crease for this contest, but no matter the netminder I still like the Knights to come through. We can also note that Carolina took a 3-2 loss at Anaheim last night and this will be its third game in four nights. The Knights will also play their third game in four nights but they've had a day off since Sunday's 5-3 win at Dallas. My selection is an 8* play on Vegas Golden Knights. |
12-12-17 | Senators v. Sabres -104 | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 10 h 46 m | Show
TUESDAY 3-PACK The two worst teams in the Eastern Conference will clash at KeyBank Center Tuesday night when the Buffalo Sabres host the Ottawa Senators. Ottawa has lost four straight and 11 of its last 12 while Buffalo has lost two in a row and 13 of its last 15. We can however note that the Sabres are 1-0-2 in their last three games, with a win at Colorado and OT losses at Chicago and St. Louis. Nothing to be ashamed of at all. Ottawa meanwhile has been shut out in three of its last four defeats and this will the finale of a demanding seven-game road trip. As the clincher; Ottawa hasn't beaten Buffalo in regulation in over two years with the Sabres riding an eight-game point streak (6-0-2) in the series after winning four of five meetings last season. My selection is an 8* play on Buffalo Sabres. |
12-11-17 | Capitals +110 v. Islanders | 1-3 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 43 m | Show
NHL POWER PLAY The Washington Capitals are coming off four straight home victories, and I think they'll ride that momentum to another triumph when they visit the Islanders at Barclays Center Monday night. The Islanders return home from a four-game road trip that concluded with their third straight loss, a 3-1 setback at Boston on Saturday. They've lost just twice in front of the home fans this season, but the red hot Caps will be too much to handle here. My selection is an 8* play on Washington Capitals. |
12-07-17 | Jets -116 v. Panthers | Top | 4-6 | Loss | -116 | 11 h 10 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL POWER PLAY (PERFECT 11-0 ANGLE) The Winnipeg Jets suffered a humbling 5-1 loss at Detroit, Tuesday night, but they're still on an impressive 9-3-1 run over the last 13 games and I think they'll bounce back with a big performance at Florida Thursday night. Note that the Jets are 4-0 in their last four games following a loss of three or more goals and 7-0 in their last seven after scoring two goals or less in their previous game´giving us a perfect 11-0 angle to work with. The Florida Panthers have lost three straight games and they lost starting netminder Roberto Luongo to injury in Monday's shootout loss to the New York Islanders. They're just 2-7 in their last nine home games. My selection is a 10* play on Winnipeg Jets. |
12-05-17 | Ducks v. Golden Knights UNDER 5.5 | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 22 h 52 m | Show
SUBSCRIBERS ONLY Over/under is 2-14-3 in the Ducks' first game of a back-to-back set dating back to the start of the 2016/2017 season. This trend alone makes this worth a wager. My selection is an 8* play on ANA @ LV Under. |
12-05-17 | Ducks v. Golden Knights -132 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 22 h 1 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) The Vegas Golden Knights are 10-2-0 home at T-Mobile Arena, and I predict more success in front of the home town crowd when they host the reeling Anaheim Ducks Tuesday night. Vegas is coming off a 3-2 overtime win over the last place Coyotes on Sunday night, an important victory as it put an end to a three-game slide. Here the Knights will host a Ducks team that is short on confidence, having lost back-to-back games and six of its last seven. We can also note that this is the final stop on a six-game road trip for the Ducks, and they would be excused for looking ahead to tomorrow's matchup with Ottawa at home. My NHL Game of the Week is a 10* play on Vegas Golden Knights. |
12-02-17 | Oilers +130 v. Flames | 7-5 | Win | 130 | 11 h 2 m | Show
LATE NIGHT NHL POWER PLAY I think we're getting some great value on Edmonton Oilers as they visit Calgary Flames for another edition of the Battle of Alberta Saturday night. The Oilers will be looking to rebound from a disappointing 6-4 home loss to Toronto, and Calgary just might be the perfect opponent as they've won five straight head-to-head meetings with the Flames. Calgary is coming off a 3-0 win against Arizona but the Flames are only 4-10 in their last 14 after allowing two goals or fewer in their previous game. My selection is an 8* play on Edmonton Oilers. |
11-30-17 | Kings +113 v. Capitals | 5-2 | Win | 113 | 8 h 23 m | Show
NHL POWER PLAY The LA Kings look like good value here at Washington Thursday night. They've bounced back from a horrific stretch and head to Capital One Arena off back-to-back wins against Anaheim and Detroit. Kings are 11-3 in their last 14 vs. Eastern Conference teams and 10-3 in the last 13 meetings with the Caps who have won three straight games. We can however note that the Caps have not played since Nov. 25, and too much rest is not a good thing for this team which is 3-9 in its last 12 games playing on three or more days rest. My selection is an 8* play on LA Kings. |
11-29-17 | Jets -125 v. Avalanche | 2-3 | Loss | -125 | 13 h 31 m | Show
NHL CA$H COW The Winnipeg Jets are coming off a resounding 7-2 rout of Minnesota on Monday, and I think they'll keep rolling when they visit the Colorado Avalanche Wednesday night. The Avs have had plenty of success home at Pepsi Center this season entering this contest with a 7-2-1 home record, but they took a 3-2 home loss to Calgary on Saturday and we can note that the Avs are just 3-15 in their last 18 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. The red hot Jets are 7-4-2 on the road for the season and they've won seven of their last nine games overall. As far as the probable netminders; Jets Connor Hellebuyck is 2-1 with a 1.35 GAA in previous meetings with Colorado while Semyon Varlamov is 11-8-2 with a 2.64 GAA against Winnipeg. Jets are 15-4 in their last 19 vs. Western Conference. Avalanche are 9-42 in their last 51 vs. Western Conference. Jets have won five of the last seven meetings. My selection is an 8* play on Winnipeg Jets. |
11-28-17 | Stars v. Golden Knights -110 | Top | 3-0 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 36 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* LATE NIGHT NHL POWER PLAY I like the Vegas Golden Knights to improve on their already impressive 9-1-0 home record when they host the Dallas Stars Tuesday night. The Stars are coming off a solid 6-4 home win against the Flames on Friday night, but they're just 3-8-1 on the road for the season and they average just 2.17 goals per game on the road. We can also note that they're 3-11 in their last 14 after scoring five goals or more in their previous game. The Golden Knights have won five straight games overall following a 4-2 road win over the Coyotes on Saturday night and they're scoring a magnificent 4.40 goals per game home at T-Mobile Arena. My selection is a 10* play on Vegas Golden Knights. |
11-27-17 | Wild v. Jets -120 | Top | 2-7 | Win | 100 | 15 h 16 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (NHL) MIKE'S MONDAY MAJOR WAGER ALERT The Winnipeg Jets are back home from a four-game road trip which ended with a 4-0 loss at San Jose on Saturday, their first shutout loss of the season. They're 6-2 in their last eight games overall, 13-3 in their last 16 home games and 17-4 in their last 21 games playing on one days rest. The Minnesota Wild are coming off a 6-3 loss at St. Louis and they've lost three of their last five games. Netminder Devan Dubnyk is going through a rough time and has conceded 18 goals through his last four starts. The Jets have won both previous meetings on the season and five of the last seven meetings overall. My NHL Game of the Month is a 10* play on Winnipeg Jets. |
11-22-17 | Jets +117 v. Kings | 2-1 | Win | 117 | 14 h 28 m | Show
LATE NHL MIDNIGHT MASSACRE The Winnipeg Jets' four-game winning streak came to an end as they took a 5-3 defeat at Nashville Monday night. Note that they're 14-2 in their last 16 games playing on one days rest, and I think they'll get back to their winning ways at LA Wednesday night. The Kings have lost five of their last six games and star netminder Jonathan Quick has lost each of his last five starts. He surrendered three goals in less than 12 minutes in Sunday’s loss at Vegas, and the Kings are struggling at the other end of the rink as well scoring two goals or fewer in five of their last six games. Jets are 12-3 in their last 15 vs. Western Conference. Kings are 1-6 in their last 7 vs. Western Conference. My selection is an 8* play on Winnipeg Jets. |
11-21-17 | Oilers v. Blues -145 | Top | 3-8 | Win | 100 | 15 h 4 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL POWER PLAY The St. Louis Blues look like a solid home favorite when they host the Edmonton Oilers Tuesday night. Edmonton has lost four of its last five games and reigning Hart Trophy recipient Connor McDavid missed Monday's practice with an illness. He might play but will probably not be 100%. The Blues are coming off a three-game trip through western Canada which included a 4-1 beatdown of the Oilers at Edmonton. They're 9-2 in their last 11 home games and 10-3 in the last 13 meetings with the Oilers at St. Louis. My selection is an 10* play on St. Louis Blues. |
11-19-17 | Kings -106 v. Golden Knights | 2-4 | Loss | -106 | 9 h 5 m | Show
NHL POWER PLAY The Vegas Knights are 7-1-0 home at T-Mobile Arena, but I think they're doomed to take their second home loss when they host the LA Kings Sunday night. The Kings snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-0 win against Florida last night. Playing on no rest shouldn't affect the Kings that much though, and their defense is ranked 2nd in goals allowed, giving up just 2.42 gpg on the season. Solid D is a great recipe for success on the road, and the Kings are indeed 6-2-0 away from home. Vegas has lost six of its last 10 games following a red hot start, and I think they'll come up short here against a quality Kings team. My selection is an 8* play on LA Kings. |
11-16-17 | Blues +105 v. Oilers | Top | 4-1 | Win | 105 | 14 h 37 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL POWER PLAY The St. Louis Blues are coming off back-to-back losses to the Islanders and Calgary, but note that they're 12-5 after two losses in a row since the start of the 2016/2017 season. They'll have a rest advantage, playing on two days of rest while the Oilers will be playing on one days rest and this will be their fourth game in six nights. Edmonton beat Vegas 8-2 its last time out and might be in for a letdown game here. The Blues have won six of the last eight meetings at Edmonton, and I think they'll put an end to their current losing streak with a win at Rogers Place tonight. My selection is a 10* play on St. Louis Blues. |
11-15-17 | Rangers +116 v. Blackhawks | Top | 3-6 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 22 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL GAME OF THE WEEK The red hot New York Rangers look like great value when they visit the Chicago Blackhawks Wednesday night. The Rangers had a terrible start to the season, but they travel to United Center on a six-game winning streak during which they've beaten both Tampa Bay and Florida on the road. The Blackhawks meanwhile have dropped three of their last four and took a 7-5 beating by New Jersey their last time out, despite closing as a -200 favorite. Their star netminder Corey Crawford was chased off the ice after conceding six and we can note that the Blackhawks are 5-12 in their last 17 after allowing five goals or more in their previous game. Rangers are 35-16 in their last 51 when their opponent allows five goals or more in their previous game. The value here is clearly on the dog. My NHL Game of the Week is a 10* play on New York Rangers. |
11-14-17 | Canucks v. Kings UNDER 5.5 | 3-2 | Win | 100 | 12 h 18 m | Show
LATE NIGHT NHL TOTAL The LA Kings are a big home favorite when they host the Vancouver Canucks Tuesday night, but they've dropped three of their last four games as they've struggled to find the net. They're however still one of the best defensive units in the NHL, conceding just 2.41 goals per game this season, and netminder Jonathan Quick has a stellar 1.61 GAA and .939 SV% in 32 career matchups with the Canucks. Vancouver has also lost three of its last four games and mustered just one goal through its last two. Under is 15-5-3 in Canucks last 23 vs. a team with a winning record. My selection is an 8* play on Under. |
11-13-17 | Blues -110 v. Flames | 4-7 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 26 m | Show
NHL POWER PLAY The Calgary Flames are 4-2 during their seven-game homestand, but I think they'll come up short when they host the St. Louis Blues here in the finale Monday night. The Blues have an impressive 13-4-1 record overall this season and they're 6-2-1 on the road. They took a 5-2 beating by the Islanders on Saturday, but the Blues are 9-3 in their last 12 games following a loss of three or more goals and I expect a much better performance tonight. Note that the Blues are averaging a healthy 3.11 goals on the season and Calgary's netminder Mike Smith is just 4-14 with a 3.52 GAA in previous meetings with St. Louis. My selection is an 8* play on St. Louis Blues. |
11-08-17 | Lightning v. Sharks -118 | Top | 5-1 | Loss | -118 | 17 h 60 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL GAME OF THE WEEK The Tampa Bay Lightning are tied for the 2nd best record in the NHL this season, but they're far away from home when they visit San Jose Sharks Wednesday night and I think they'll take a loss here against the red hot Sharks. The Lightning have hardly impressed through their last two games, splitting a pair of post-regulation decisions with Columbus and the Rangers. The Sharks meanwhile have won four in a row to improve to 7-2 since an 1-3 start to the season. They've won each of the last three home in the Shark Tank, and conceded a total of just six goals during their current four-game winning streak. The Sharks won each of the last three meetings, including a 2-1 triumph in San Jose last season, and six of the past eight overall. They're 10-3 in the last 13 meetings at SAP Center. My NHL Game of the Week is a 10* play on San Jose Sharks. |
11-07-17 | Kings -105 v. Ducks | 4-3 | Win | 100 | 12 h 38 m | Show
LATE NIGHT POWER PLAY The LA Kings have dropped two of their last three games after opening the season a blistering 9-1-1. The Anaheim Ducks are in an even worse position though having lost three straight games while scoring just a total of five goals in the process, and I think they're in for another defeat tonight. Anaheim has struggled to score goals all season, and here it'll face the best defensive team in the NHL with the Kings allowing just 2.2 goals per game. My selection is an 8* play on LA Kings. |
11-06-17 | Jets +126 v. Stars | 4-1 | Win | 126 | 11 h 34 m | Show
NHL POWER PLAY The Winnipeg Jets defeated the Dallas Stars 5-2 last week and they've now won each of the last five head-to-head meetings. I think they'll make it six in a row Monday night. The Jets saw a three-game winning streak come to an end with a 5-4 OT loss against Montreal on Saturday, a very disappointing defeat as they held a 4-2 lead with 10 minutes left in the third. Expect more focused Jets tonight. The Stars are coming off a 5-1 win against Buffalo but we can note that they're just 2-9 in their last 11 after scoring five goals or more in their previous game. The price is right to back the visiting Jets. My selection is an 8* play on Winnipeg Jets. |
11-05-17 | Devils +166 v. Flames | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 12 h 17 m | Show
NHL POWER PLAY The New Jersey Devils have started the season strong, going 9-3-0 through their first 12 games. They had won three straight prior to a 6-3 loss at Edmonton Friday, but I like the price we get on the Devils to bounce back and win here at Calgary two days later. Note that the Devils are 5-1 in their last six games following a loss of three or more goals. The Flames are coming off a pair of 2-1 triumphs against Washington and Pittsburgh, but they're struggling to score goals scoring two goals or fewer in regulation in each of their last seven games. They can't lean on netminder Mike Smith every game and the Flames have a losing record home in the Saddledome on the season. My selection is an 8* play on New Jersey Devils. |
11-04-17 | Penguins v. Canucks +124 | 2-4 | Win | 124 | 10 h 53 m | Show
NHL POWER PLAY This is a tough spot for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the finale of a five-game road trip (also their third game in four nights). They're 1-2-1 through the first four games of the trip and here they'll face a Vancouver Canucks side desperate for a home win after dropping back-to-back games to Dallas (2-1 OT) and New Jersey (0-2) despite out-shooting both opponents by a wide margin. I think the price is right to back the home team in this contest. My selection is an 8* play on Vancouver Canucks. |
11-03-17 | Predators v. Ducks -102 | Top | 5-3 | Loss | -102 | 16 h 58 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* LATE NIGHT NHL POWER PLAY - NSH@ANA This is a huge matchup for the Anaheim Ducks. They'll seek revenge for getting knocked out by the Nashville Predators in six games in last season's Western Conference final, and they're catching Nashville at a good time with the Preds losing four of their last five games. The Predators are 2-8 in their last 10 road games and 2-4-1 on the road for the season. The Ducks are always hard to beat home in the "Duck Pond", and Wednesday's 3-1 home loss to Toronto should just add to the motivation. My selection is a 10* play on Anaheim Ducks. |
11-02-17 | Stars v. Jets -107 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 13 h 10 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) - MIKE'S THURSDAY MAJOR WAGER ALERT Both the Winnipeg Jes and the Dallas Stars are coming off back-to-back wins. The Jets have however won four straight head-to-head meetings and I really like the home team to be the team to keep the winning streak going Thursday night. This contest marks the finale of a five-game road trip for the Stars, and we can note that they're 0-3 in this particular situation over the last three seasons. Winnipeg has played excellent D lately allowing just one goal in regulation in each of their last four games. Netminder Connor Hellebuyck will start Thursday vs. the Stars, and he's 6-0-1 with a 1.91 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage on the season. The Jets are a solid 9-2 in their last 11 home games while the Stars are 5-21 in their last 26 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. My NHL Game of the Week is a 10* play on Winnipeg Jets. |

10-27-17 | Avalanche v. Golden Knights -119 | Top | 0-7 | Win | 100 | 15 h 59 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NHL POWER PLAY The Vegas Golden Knights could not have asked for a better start, entering Friday with a 7-1 SU record. Star netminder Marc-Andre Fleury is out injured but Oscar Dansk has been brought up and is 2-0 with a 2.43 GAA in two career games (one start). He made 29 saves in Tuesday's 4-2 win against the Blackhawks and here he'll face an Avs team that has averaged just 2.20 gpg on the road this season. Hardly a surprise as Colorado was one of the worst teams on the road last season. This is Vegas' last game before heading out on a six-game road trip, and I think they'll say good bye to the home town crowd with another spectacular performance. My selection is a 10* play on Vegas Golden Knights. |

10-26-17 | Red Wings v. Lightning UNDER 5.5 | 2-3 | Win | 105 | 17 h 52 m | Show
NHL POWER PLAY The Detroit Red Wings have lost five straight and scored just a total of nine goals during that stretch. They'll no doubt have their work cut out for them here at Amalie Arena Thursday night, facing a Tampa Bay team that has allowed just a pair of goals through its last three games. Lightning netminder Andrei Vasilevskiy has posted a 2.22 GAA on the season and he's 4-0 with a 1.82 GAA in his career against the Red Wings. The Lightning are second in the league at 4.10 goals per game while the Red Wings are in the bottom third at 2.6 goals per game. Detroit goalie Jimmy Howard has a solid career GAA of 2.21 in 12 career games against the Lightning though, and I think he'll do his part to keep this a low-scoring game. My selection is an 8* play on Under. |
