01-27-18 | Colorado +10.5 v. Arizona State | 66-80 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 35 m | Show
CBB BANKROLL BUILDER The Arizona State Sun Devils fell 80-77 in OT as an 8-point home favorite against Utah their last time out, and I think they're asked to cover too many points here when they host the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday. Note that Sun Devils are 1-8-2 ATS in their last 11 in Pac-12 play and 0-6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall. Colorado has been competitive lately covering the spread in three of its last four and six of its last eight. The Buffaloes actually outshot and outrebounded No. 12 Arizona despite losing 80-71 their last time out (still covered the 13-point spread), and I expect them to keep this a close game. My selection is an 8* play on Colorado Buffaloes. |

01-27-18 | Georgetown v. Creighton -12.5 | Top | 77-85 | Loss | -104 | 18 h 19 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (CBB) The Creighton Bluejays are a perfect 12-0 SU (8-3 ATS) home at CenturyLink Center Omaha this season, and I expect another big win when they host the Georgetown Hoyas Saturday night. Note that the Bluejays are 3-1 in their own building in this series, each triumph by 13 or more points, and they defeated Georgetown 90-66 on the road on January 6. The Hoyas have dropped three of their last four (0-3 ATS in the losses) following a 74-73 home loss to DePaul who who entered the game just 1-6 in league play. Creighton meanwhile will be amped up to play in front of the home crowd after back-to-back games on the road, the most recent a 68-63 victory at St. John's. Creighton is 13-4 ATS as a home favorite of 12.5 or more points through the last three seasons (4-1 ATS this season). My CBB Game of the Month is a 10* play on Creighton Bluejays. |
01-27-18 | Wizards v. Hawks +5.5 | Top | 129-104 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 45 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BOOKIE BREAKER The Atlanta Hawks lost a 121-110 decision at Charlotte on Friday night, but they're still in the midst of their best stretch of the season having won four of their last nine games. Atlanta beat the Wizards 113-99 on Dec. 27 and I think it'll stand up well tonight again. Note that the Hawks are 5-0 ATS in their last five games playing on no rest and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. The Wizards will finish a 10-night, five-game road trip here at Philips Arena Saturday night and have won only one of the previous four on their journey. The Wizards are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record and 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games overall. My selection is a 10* play on Atlanta Hawks. |
01-25-18 | Wizards v. Thunder -5.5 | Top | 112-121 | Win | 100 | 15 h 24 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BASKET BRAWLER The Washington Wizards have dropped three of their last four games and covered the spread in only one of their last nine. They took a 98-75 loss at Dallas on Monday and have now allowed 98 or more points in 18 consecutive games. This will be Washington's fourth straight on the road the Wizards are only 1-5 ATS after playing three consecutive road games this season. I predict another setback when they visit the Thunder at OKC Thursday night. The Thunder have won five in a row and they're 14-0 SU when all five of their normal starters -- Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Carmelo Anthony, Andre Roberson and Steven Adams -- play. Everything suggests a healthy Thunder side for tonight so I expect a solid outing from the hosts. The home team is 7-3-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings and Oklahoma City earned a 126-115 win at home last season. My selection is a 10* play on OKC Thunder. |
01-25-18 | Michigan +9.5 v. Purdue | 88-92 | Win | 100 | 6 h 5 m | Show
SUBSCRIBERS ONLY The Michigan Wolverines are 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 vs. Big Ten teams, and I think they'll give Purdue all it can handle here Thursday night, just like they did when they lost by just one point earlier this season. The Boilermakers can shoot the three-ball well, but Michigan has a solid perimeter defense. My selection is an 8* play on Michigan Wolverines. |
01-24-18 | Suns +7.5 v. Pacers | 101-116 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 11 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Phoenix Suns will be seeking to revenge a 120-97 home loss to the Pacers on Jan. 14. They're catching Indiana at a good time here at Bankers Life Fieldhouse Wednesday night with the Pacers just back from a five-game road trip which they concluded with a 94-86 win at San Antonio. Let down spot here, and we can note that the Suns are 6-2 ATS in their last eight road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings at Indiana. Under is 6-0 in Pacers last six overall and 6-1 in Suns last seven overall. Under is 4-0 in the last four meetings. My selection is an 8* play on Phoenix Suns. |
01-24-18 | Bulls +6 v. 76ers | Top | 101-115 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 9 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BEST BET The Chicago Bulls have covered the spread in six straight games, and I think they'll give the Philadelphia 76ers a tough game here at Wells Fargo Center Wednesday night. Philly is coming off a 105-101 loss as a 3-point favorite at Memphis on Monday and the Sixers are a disastrous 1-8 ATS off an upset loss as a favorite this season. The 76ers are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games vs. a team with a winning % below .400 while the Bulls are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Chicago has covered the spread in five of the last six encounters and has won seven straight in Philadelphia. My selection is a 10* play on Chicago Bulls. |
01-22-18 | 76ers v. Grizzlies +3.5 | 101-105 | Win | 100 | 12 h 43 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Philadelphia 76ers have won seven of their last eight following consecutive wins over Toronto, Boston and Milwaukee. I would not be surprised to see them come out flat here at Memphis Monday night though. The 76ers focused their attention on the hometown Eagles on Sunday, canceling a scheduled practice in order to take an earlier flight to Memphis. "We're going to enjoy this with the city of Philadelphia," coach Brett Brown announced. "Stuff like this doesn't come around very often. So on behalf of our team, we say, like the rest of the city: Go Eagles." The Grizzlies have won nine straight from Philadelphia dating to December 2012 and took both meetings last season while holding the Sixers to an average of 95 points. Memphis has played well lately here at FedExForum, winning four straight home games straight up and going 5-0-1 ATS in its last six. My selection is an 8* play on Memphis Grizzlies. |
01-22-18 | Bulls +6.5 v. Pelicans | 128-132 | Win | 100 | 12 h 43 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK Both the Chicago Bulls and the New Orleans Pelicans have won four of their last five games overall, but the Pelicans are just 1-4 ATS in their last five at home while the Bulls are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 road games (winning six of the last 10 straight up). Chicago opened a three-game road trip with a 113-97 triumph at Atlanta Saturday night and I think it'll keep this a close game in a relatively low-scoring affair. We can note that the Bulls are 12-3-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings in New Orleans. The Pelicans have scored scored at least 111 points in each of their wins during a 5-2 stretch but the books have over-adjusted and set the total too high for this contest IMO. My selection is an 8* play on Chicago Bulls. |
01-21-18 | Pacers v. Spurs -6 | Top | 94-86 | Loss | -105 | 15 h 12 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BOOKIE BREAKER The San Antonio Spurs have traded wins and losses through their last 11 games following an 86-83 setback at Toronto on Friday. They shot just 34.1 percent from the floor in that contest and I think they'll bounce back with a big outing here in front of the home fans. San Antonio has been rock solid home at AT&T Center all season with a 19-2 SU record (15-5-1 ATS). The Spurs are 6-0 ATS in their last six games following a straight up loss and 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. The Indiana Pacers have dropped the last two games at Portland and Los Angeles while scoring just 86 points in each. Such anemic offense won't cut it here against a Spurs team that averages 107.0 ppg in its own building. My selection is a 10* play on San Antonio Spurs. |
01-21-18 | Miami-FL v. NC State +1.5 | Top | 86-81 | Loss | -105 | 4 h 43 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* CBB BANKROLL BUILDER The Miami-Florida Hurricanes are coming off back-to-back losses against Duke and Clemson, and this looks like another tough matchup agianst a solid NC State side. The Wolfpack are coming off a 72-63 triumph against Wake Forest on January 18 to improve to 12-1 (5-1 ATS) home in PNC Arena. The Hurricanes have not played since Jan. 15 and this just might be too much rest. "They're playing great and we've got our hands full," Miami coach Jim Larranaga told the Miami Herald ahead of Sunday's game. "They'll certainly be the favorite, playing in front of 19,000 fans. ... It's a real challenge for us." It sure is, and I expect the home town crowd to carry NC State to a victory. My selection is a 10* play on NC State Wolfpack. |
01-20-18 | Warriors -4 v. Rockets | 108-116 | Loss | -107 | 11 h 9 m | Show
WARRIORS @ ROCKETS BEST OF THE WEST The Houston Rockets are coming off a 116-98 win against Minnesota Thursday night. James Harden returned from a hamstring injury that cost him seven games but was not sharp with only points on 3-of-15 shooting in 26 minutes. Here they'll take on the Golden State Warriors who are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings at Toyota Center and defeated the Rockets 124-114 their last visit on January 4. Golden State matched a franchise record with their 14th consecutive road victory on Wednesday, and I don't see the Warriors look past Houston here. My selection is an 8* play on Golden State Warriors. |
01-20-18 | Florida v. Kentucky -3 | Top | 66-64 | Loss | -105 | 20 h 23 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (CBB) The No. 16 Kentucky Wildcats will seek to bounce back from a 76-68 loss at South Carolina. They managed to blow a 14-point second-half and personal fouls (32 to be exact) was the main culprit. They're still perfect 11-0 in their own building and I think they'll make the Florida Gators pay here Saturday night. Florida is coming off an 88-73 rout of Arkansas, but Kentucky has won six of the last seven meetings, the most recent a 76-66 home triumph last year. Kentucky has covered the spread in each of the last four meetings here in Rupp Arena. The Wildcats have played four of the last five on the road and they'll be angry coming off a let down game and eager to put on a show in front of the home fans. My selection is a 10* play on Kentucky Wildcats. |
01-20-18 | Thunder +4 v. Cavs | Top | 148-124 | Win | 100 | 17 h 53 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* THUNDER @ CAVS NBA NO-BRAINER The Cleveland Cavaliers are a mess and had lost four straight before posting a 1-point win over the lowly Orlando Magic on Thursday. They're 1-12 ATS through their last 13 games overall, 3-23 ATS in their last 26 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and 5-15-1 ATS in their last 21 games playing on one days rest. The OKC Thunder are coming off three straight triumphs and have had two days rest since a 114-90 drubbing of the Lakers Wednesday night. They're 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games playing on two days rest and will no doubt be ready to take advantage of the slumping Cavs after losing four of the last five in the series. My selection is a 10* play on OKC Thunder. |
01-19-18 | Suns v. Nuggets -8.5 | 108-100 | Loss | -107 | 19 h 57 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Phoenix Suns have dropped five of their last six SU and they're just 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight games overall. Tonight they'll visit the Denver Nuggets who are 7-0 ATS in the last seven meetings in the series and defeated Phoenix 134-11 here at Pepsi Center earlier this month. Denver is coming off a 109-104 loss at LA Clippers and the building will be rocking as the crowd help their Nuggets bounce back from that defeat. The Nuggets are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 Friday night games while the Suns are 2-6 ATS in their last eight Friday games. Phoenix took a 118-11 loss at Portland its last time out and allowed the Trail Blazers to shoot 50.5 percent from the field and 48.6 percent from 3-point range. Denver is averaging 109.5 ppg home at Pepsi Center (compared to 106.1 ppg season average overall) and I expect the home team to punish this weak Phoenix D and win by double digits. My selection is an 8* play on Denver Nuggets. |
01-19-18 | Illinois v. Wisconsin -4 | 50-75 | Win | 100 | 11 h 18 m | Show
CBB 3-PACK The Wisconsin Badgers are desperate for a win after three straight setbacks. This looks like a great spot to end the skid though as they host the Illinois Fighting Illini who enter this contest on a four-game losing streak. Wisconsin has held four straight opponents to 64 points or fewer before giving up 78 at Purdue its last time out, but Illinois has yet to win on the road and is averaging only 70.3 ppg away from home compared to a 78.1 ppg average overall. Illinois is 0-6 in Big Ten action and has lost 11 straight meetings with the Badgers. Under is 24-7 in Fighting Illini last 31 overall. Under is 4-0-1 in Badgers last five overall. Under is 4-0 in the last four meetings. My selection is an 8* play on Wisconsin Badgers. |
01-19-18 | Wizards v. Pistons +1.5 | 122-112 | Loss | -109 | 18 h 58 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Detroit Pistons have won only two of their last eight games, but they're 4-2 ATS through the last four and held the Raptors close at Toronto on Wednesday. They're 5-1 ATS in their last six games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and look good to pick up the W here against a Washington side that has failed to cover the spread in seven straight games. Washington is 8-22 ATS as a favorite this season. Detroit is 14-7 ATS as and underdog. The Wizards are allowing an average of 114.3 points during a six-game stretch and here they'll face a Pistons side looking to avenge a 109-91 beating it took at Washington back in December. The Pistons are 13-6 ATS in revenge spots this season. My selection is an 8* play on Detroit Pistons. |
01-19-18 | Spurs v. Raptors -5 | Top | 83-86 | Loss | -115 | 17 h 59 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA The Toronto Raptors snapped a two-game losing streak with a 96-91 triumph over Detroit here at Air Canada Centre on Wednesday. They're 16-3 SU (11-8 ATS) in their own building this season, and here they'll host a Spurs team that is just 11-14 (9-15-1 ATS) on the road. This will be the Spurs third straight road game and they've had a tough schedule lately, playing seven of nine games since new year away from home. They will be without Rudy Gay (right heel bursitis), Manu Ginobili (right thigh contusion) and Kawhi Leonard (right quadriceps tendinopathy) for this contest. The home team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings in the series and the Raptors will be seeking revenge for a 101-97 loss at San Antonio earlier this season. They're 9-5 ATS in revenge spots this season. My selection is a 10* play on Toronto Raptors. |
01-19-18 | Indiana v. Michigan State -14.5 | Top | 57-85 | Win | 100 | 9 h 9 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* CBB The No. 9 Michigan State Spartans have lost two of their last three and took an 82-72 beating as a 9.5-point favorite against Michigan their last time out. The Spartans will no doubt enter this contest angry and motivated, and I think they'll make Indiana pay the price. We can note that the Spartans are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games following a double-digit loss at home and 20-6 ATS in their last 26 home games. The Indiana Hoosiers meanwhile are just 2-6 ATS in their last eight on the road and in a let down spot following a 66-46 pounding of Northwestern their last time out. ' My selection is a 10* play on Michigan State Spartans. |
01-18-18 | Pacers +3.5 v. Blazers | Top | 86-100 | Loss | -105 | 21 h 56 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* PACERS @ BLAZERS BOOKIE BREAKER The Indiana Pacers carry a three-game winning streak into Portland Thursday night and they've opened a five-game road swing by defeating Phoenix and Utah by a combined 38 points. The Pacers are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 road games. They'll have a one day rest advantage over the Blazers and seeking to avenge a 114-96 loss home in Indiana back on October. They're 11-6 ATS in revenge spots this season.  Portland is coming off a 118-111 win over Phoenix Tuesday night, but it had lost three in a row prior to that and is still 0-4 ATS in its last four games. The Trail Blazers are 6-12 ATS in their 18 home games this season and 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 games playing on one days rest. My selection is a 10* play on Indiana Pacers. |
01-18-18 | Michigan -3.5 v. Nebraska | Top | 52-72 | Loss | -107 | 12 h 11 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* CBB NO-BRAINER The Michigan Wolverines have won nine out of their last 10 games. They defeated Michigan State 89-72 as a 9.5-point underdog on Jan. 13 their last time out on the road and have covered the spread in each of their last four road games. Michigan just barely beat Maryland its last game overall, but showed good grit and mentality as it rallied back from a 10-point deficit in the 2nd half. I like the Wolverines to come out more composed and focused from the get-go here and continue their winning ways as they visit the Nebraska Cornhuskers Thursday night. Nebraska has split its last four games and the Wolverines have won 10 straight meetings, the most recent a dominant 93-57 triumph last year. My selection is a 10* play on Michigan Wolverines. |
01-17-18 | Jazz v. Kings +4.5 | 120-105 | Loss | -106 | 12 h 1 m | Show
NBA 5-PACK The Sacramento Kings have lost five straight and nine of their last 10, but I think they'll keep it close here against a Utah Jazz side that has struggled lately as well. The Jazz have won just two of their last 10 games and they're 4-15 over their last 19. Utah has struggled on the road all season long and enter this contest with a 4-18 SU (8-14 ATS) record. They're 2-11 ATS in their last 13 road games vs. a team with a losing home record and 7-15-2 ATS in the last 24 meetings with the Kings. My selection is an 8* play on Sacramento Kings. |
01-17-18 | Warriors v. Bulls +9.5 | 119-112 | Win | 100 | 10 h 3 m | Show
NBA 5-PACK The Golden State really did a number on the Chicago Bulls with 143-94 romp at home in the first encounter this season on November 24, 2017. This is a clear let down spot for Golden State though, coming off a 118-108 win at Cleveland on Monday night and with the Houston Rockets on deck. We can also note that the Warriors are just 4-10-1 ATS in the last 15 meetings in Chicago. The Bulls connected on 16 3-point field goals in Monday's 119-111 triumph over Miami and aim for a fourth consecutive victory. Guard Zach LaVine is limited to 20 minutes per game since his return from knee surgery but is still averaging 16 points, 3.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds. He poured in 18 points in 20 minutes against the Heat. The Bulls are a solid 12-1 ATS in their last 13 games following a straight up win and 12-3 ATS in their last 15 games playing on one days rest. Over is 7-2 in Warriors last nine overall and 6-0 in Bulls last six home games. Let down spot for the Warriors, and I'm well happy to take the points on the home team in this matchup as I think they'll cover the spread in a high-scoring contest. My selection is an 8* play on Chicago Bulls. |
01-17-18 | Villanova v. Georgetown +13.5 | 88-56 | Loss | -108 | 8 h 43 m | Show
CBB BANKROLL BUILDER The Villanova Wildcats are 16-1 SU for the season but just 1-3 ATS in their last four games. Tonight they'll visit the Georgetown Hoyas who are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall and looking to bounce back with a respectable outing at home after taking a 74-61 beating at Seton Hall their last time out. Georgetown is allowing just 69.9 ppg, on par with Villanova's 69.6 ppg allowed per game. The Wildcats obviously have a massive edge offensively, but the motivation to do more than necessary to just get the W here must be low. My selection is an 8* play on Georgetown Hoyas. |
01-16-18 | Pelicans v. Celtics -4.5 | Top | 116-113 | Loss | -102 | 23 h 2 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NBA) The red hot Boston Celtics are aiming for an eighth consecutive win when they host the New Orleans Pelicans Tuesday night. Boston has held five teams under 100 points during that stretch and defeated the 76ers 114-103 at London, England on Thursday. Sure, heavy traveling, but they've had plenty of time to recover and I think the line set for this contest favors Boston big time. The Pelicans are coming off a 123-118 OT triumph at New York on Sunday, but it must have cost a lot of energy after a late rally. They're 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 and only 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings with the Celtics who usually step it up in the big games and are 12-5-1 ATS in their last 18 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. My NBA Game of the Week is a 10* play on Boston Celtics. |
01-16-18 | Georgia v. LSU -4 | 61-60 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 48 m | Show
CBB 3-PACK The LSU Tigers had won back-to-back games as road underdogs at Texas A&M and Arkansas prior to taking a 74-66 beating by Alabama here at Pete Maravich Assembly Center their last time out. They were due for a let down game, but still a very disappointing result and I think they'll come out fully focused and ready to rock here against the Georgia Bulldogs who have lost back-to-back games, scoring only 56 and 57 points in the defeats. Georgia is averaging only 63.2 ppg away from home and the Bulldogs are 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Under is 5-0 in Georgia's last five overall. Under is 5-0 in Tigers last five overall. My selection is an 8* play on LSU Tigers. |
01-16-18 | Central Michigan v. Ball State -6.5 | Top | 76-82 | Loss | -113 | 10 h 49 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* CBB PLAY OF THE DAY The Ball State Cardinals have lost two of their last three and took a 73-58 beating at Western Michigan their last time out. They're however 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a straight up loss and look good to bounce back with a big performance here against Central Michigan. The Chippewas have lost three straight and have allowed close to 86 ppg during the skid. They are 1-8 ATS in their last nine games following a straight up loss and 2-10 ATS in their last 12 vs. Mid-American teams while the Cardinals are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 vs. Mid-American sides. Ball State is holding opponents to a solid 66.0 ppg at home, it won two meetings with Western Michigan by an average of 12 points last year and is 13-3-2 ATS in the last 18 meetings as a home team. My selection is a 10* play on Ball State Cardinals. |
01-15-18 | Kings v. Thunder -11.5 | Top | 88-95 | Loss | -105 | 18 h 47 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BOOKIE BREAKER (LATE START) The Oklahoma City Thunder snapped a three-game skid with a 101-91 triumph over Charlotte on Saturday. I look for them to take this matchup with the Sacramento Kings Monday night seriously and go for the kill to build some momentum. Sacramento has lost four straight and seven of its last eight, failing to cover the spread in each loss and getting beaten by double-digits five times during that span. The Kings took a 126-105 beating on Saturday and surrendered 247 total points in consecutive losses to the Los Angeles Clippers in a home-and-home set through their last two contest. We can also note that they're just 3-9-2 ATS in their last 14 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 7-12-3 ATS on the road overall this season. OKC will be seeking revenge for an eight-point loss at Sacramento back in November. Russell Westbrook has been averaging close to a triple double over his last five games and the Thunder are not shy to pile up the points home at Chesapeake Energy Arena.  My selection is a 10* play on OKC Thunder. |
01-15-18 | Spurs v. Hawks +7.5 | 99-102 | Win | 100 | 7 h 25 m | Show
NBA AFTERNOON ATS ANNIHILATOR The San Antonio Spurs cruised to a 112-80 home rout of Denver on Saturday while the Atlanta Hawks took a 110-105 loss against Brooklyn here at Philips Arena Friday night their last time out. The Hawks are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games following a straight up loss and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. I think they'll give Spurs all they can handle here as San Antonio is in a let down spot following its blowout of Denver and Spurs are only 8-14-1 on the road this season.  My selection is an 8* play on Atlanta Hawks. |
01-14-18 | Blazers v. Wolves -5.5 | Top | 103-120 | Win | 100 | 22 h 36 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10 NBA BOOKIE BREAKER This looks like a great spot to back the Minnesota Timberwolves as they look to finish off a sweep of a five-game homestand and run their home winning streak to eight straight when they host the Portland Trail Blazers Sunday night. They have won their past four games by an average of 18 points and had held seven straight opponents under 100 points before Friday's 118-108 triumph against the Knicks. "There's going to be nights in which you don't shoot the ball great," Minnesota coach Tom Thibodeau said. "If you defend and you rebound and you don't turn it over, you'll still be in position to win. You should be able to win with your defense. Those are some good signs. But we got another team coming in Sunday that can put a lot of points on the board. We need to be ready." Thibodeau knows that Portland is a dangerous opponent, so he'll surely have the team fired up here against a Northwest division rival. This contest will mark the finale of a four-game road trip for the Blazers who are coming off back-to-back losses (despite getting Damian Lillard back in the lineup), the most recent a 119-113 setback at New Orleans on Friday. The Timberwolves are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games and the Blazers are just 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. My selection is a 10* play on Minnesota Timberwolves. |

01-14-18 | Houston v. East Carolina +17 | Top | 65-49 | Win | 100 | 9 h 10 m | Show |
EARLY TOP RATED 10* CBB BANKROLL BUILDER The East Carolina Pirates took a 95-60 beating by Wichita State their last time out. I think they'll keep it a lot closer here when they host the Houston Cougars Sunday afternoon. East Carolina is 8-1-2 ATS in its last 11 games after allowing more than 90 points in their previous game and 10-4 ATS in its last 14 games following a straight up loss. Houston is in a let down spot after putting up more than 100 points in a blowout win against Tulsa its last time out and only 2-5 ATS in its last seven after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. The Cougars broke the league record with 18 3-pointers in Thursday's win against Tulsa but note that the Pirates lead the league in 3-point shooting defense at 31.2 percent. My selection is a 10* play on East Carolina. |
01-13-18 | Nuggets v. Spurs -7.5 | Top | 80-112 | Win | 100 | 11 h 34 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NBA) The Nuggets defeated Memphis 87-78 home at Denver last night. Very tough spot here when they visit the Spurs in San Antonio on no rest. The Spurs meanwhile have had a day off since an embarrassing 93-81 loss at LA Lakers on Thursday. Spurs off a double-digit loss and scoring just 78 points? Gregg Popovich will no doubt have his team fired up for this contest.  San Antonio PG Tony Parker should be ready to play on here Denver after sitting out three games with a sprained right ankle. "I could have played tonight," Parker said after the loss to the Lakers. "But you know the Spurs, they are going to just be cautious."  Denver is just 7-15 SU (8-12-2 ATS) on the road this season, and the Spurs are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 home games vs. a team with a losing road record and 12-3-2 ATS in their last 17 games playing on one days rest. The Spurs went 3-0 against the Nuggets last season and the favorite is 6-0 ATS in the last six meetings in the series. My NBA Game of the Week is a 10* play on San Antonio Spurs. |
01-13-18 | Florida v. Ole Miss +4.5 | Top | 72-78 | Win | 100 | 10 h 12 m | Show |
SUPER EARLY TOP RATED 10* GATORS @ REBELS BOOKIE BREAKER The Mississippi Rebels have now dropped two of their last three after taking an 85-70 beating as a 12-point dog at Auburn their last time out. They have yet to win a true road game this season but earned wins in each of their first two conference home games and are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games vs. a team with a winning road record. I think they'll give the Florida Gators all they can handle here at The Pavilion at Ole Miss Saturday afternoon. The Gators are enjoying a six-game winning streak, including a perfect 4-0 record in conference play, but they're 1-9 ATS in the last 10 meetings with Ole Miss and the under is 13-3 ATS in the last 16 encounters. My selection is a 10* play on Ole Miss Rebels. |
01-12-18 | Rockets v. Suns +7.5 | Top | 112-95 | Loss | -115 | 14 h 39 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* LATE NIGHT NBA BOOKIE BREAKER The Phoenix Suns will be looking to avenge an embarrassing 142-116 home loss against the Houston Rockets back in November. They've had plenty of time to prepare for this matchup since beating Oklahoma City 114-110 on Sunday, and they're a solid 5-2-1 ATS in their last eight home games. The Rockets are still without the league's leading scorer in James Harden (32.3 points per game) who is sidelined with a hamstring injury. They're only 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall and 7-16-1 ATS in their last 24 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record. My selection is a 10* play on Phoenix Suns. |
01-12-18 | Knicks v. Wolves -9 | 108-118 | Win | 100 | 10 h 51 m | Show
NBA HARDWOOD HAMMER The New York Knicks have lost four of their last five and eight of their last 10 overall. They're just 4-14 (7-11 ATS) on the road this season and here they'll run into the red hot Minnesota Timberwolves who are gunning for a fourth straight victory (beating both Cleveland and OKC) and have held seven straight opponents below 100 points. The Knickerbockers are averaging only 103.6 points per game (99.1 ppg on the road) while the Wolves are averaging a healthy 109.9 ppg home at Target Center. My selection is an 8* play on Minnesota Timberwolves. |
01-12-18 | Marquette v. Butler -4.5 | Top | 83-94 | Win | 100 | 9 h 19 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* CBB BOOKIE BASHER The Butler Bulldogs are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 home games and they need a win here after sitting at just 2-3 in conference play. They've lost three straight since defeating No. 1 Villanova, and this looks like a good spot against a Marquette team that is due for a let down game coming off a blowout triumph (84-64) against No. 15 Seton Hall. Butler has won five of the six meetings since Steve Wojciechowski took over Marquette in 2014 and the Bulldogs are 7-2-1 ATS int he last 10. My selection is a 10* play on Butler Bulldogs.  |
01-11-18 | Montana v. CS Sacramento +9 | 78-66 | Loss | -105 | 16 h 24 m | Show
CBB 3-PACK The Sacramento State Hornets look like a solid underdog when they host the Montana Grizzlies Thursday night. Montana has won seven of its last nine and covered the spread in each game during that stretch while Sacramento State has lost four of five and took an 82-67 beating as a 10.5-point dog at Eastern Washington its last time out. Recent results have led to the bookmakers over-adjusting the spread for this matchup. Note that the Hornets are 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine games following a ATS loss and 16-5 ATS in their last 21 vs. Big Sky opponents. My selection is an 8* play on Sacramento State. |
01-11-18 | Stanford v. Washington State +2.5 | 79-70 | Loss | -115 | 15 h 18 m | Show
CBB 3-PACK The Washington State Cougars look like a solid underdog when they host the Stanford Cardinal Thursday night. Stanford is coming off a 77-76 upset win against USC, but this will be its first road game since Dec. 3 and the Cardinal are 0-5 ATS in their last five road games following three or more consecutive home games. Washington State is 9-2 ATS in its last 11 home games and in desperate need of a win after opening league play with three straight losses. My selection is an 8* play on Washington State. |
01-11-18 | Cavs v. Raptors +3.5 | 99-133 | Win | 100 | 8 h 13 m | Show
CAVS @ RAPTORS HARDWOOD HAMMER The Toronto Raptors have no doubt had this game circled since the schedule came out, as they'll seek revenge for getting swept by the Cavs in the Eastern Conference semifinals last spring. Cleveland has dropped six of its last nine games and took a 127-99 beating at Minnesota on Monday while the Raptors are among the hottest teams in the NBA, despite having a five-game overall winning streak and a 12-game home surge come to an end with a 90-89 loss to the Miami Heat on Tuesday. Cavaliers are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games overall and 0-7 ATS in their last seven road games. Raptors are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 vs. Eastern Conference rivals. My selection is an 8* play on Toronto Raptors. |
01-11-18 | Samford v. The Citadel +5 | 107-91 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 19 m | Show
CBB 3-PACK The Citadel Bulldogs look like a solid underdog when they host Samford Bulldogs Thursday night. Citadel took a 109-92 loss at Wofford its last time out but should do much better here at McAlister Field House, taking on a Samford team that is 1-6 ATS on the road this season and due for a let down game after putting an 85-71 beating on Western Carolina its last time out. Citadel is 4-3 SU at home while Samford is 1-7 ATS in its last eight road games vs. a team with a winning home record. My selection is an 8* play on Citadel. |
01-10-18 | UNLV -8.5 v. Air Force | 81-76 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 26 m | Show
CBB 3-PACK The Air Force Falcons took an 86-75 loss against Nevada on Saturday, their fifth loss in six games. Here they'll face a UNLV Runnin' Rebels team desperate for a win, entering this contest 12-2 overall on the season but only 1-2 in Mountain West play. They fell 85-78 as a 9-point home favorite against Utah State their last time out but should have more success here against an Air Force team that averages only 64.0 ppg while UNLV is scoring 88.7 ppg on average. My selection is an 8* play on UNLV Rebels. |
01-10-18 | Pelicans v. Grizzlies +1.5 | 102-105 | Win | 100 | 11 h 49 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Memphis Grizzles need a win after back-to-back losses against the Clippers and the Wizards. They're 4-1 ATS in their last five games and will enter this contest well rested, last playing on January 5. The Pelicans on the other hand will play on only one days rest following a 112-109 triumph over Detroit home in New Orleans. They're 1-4 ATS in their last five games and 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings with Memphis. We can also note that Pelicans' star big man Anthony Davis left Monday's win over Detroit with an ankle injury and is considered doubtful, and Memphis center Marc Gasol should dominate the game with Davis out. Under is 14-6 in Grizzlies last 20 home games and 11-2 in their last 13 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game (they gave up 102 against Washington their last time out). Under is 4-0 in Pelicans last four road games and 6-2 in Pelicans last eight road games vs. a team with a home winning % of less than .400. Under is 9-2 in the last 11 meetings in Memphis. I expect Memphis to prevail in a low-scoring affair. My selection is an 8* play on Memphis Grizzlies. |
01-10-18 | Oklahoma State +3.5 v. Kansas State | 82-86 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 22 m | Show
CBB 3-PACK The Oklahoma State Cowboys snapped a two-game losing streak with a 96-87 victory at Iowa State in overtime Saturday afternoon. They're still just 1-2 in conference play and I think they'll be determined to put up a good fight here at Kansas State Wednesday night. Note that Oklahoma State is 9-2 ATS in its last 11 road games vs. a team with a winning home record while the Wildcats are 0-6 ATS in their last six home games. Kansas State is coming off back-to-back losses to No. 2 West Virginia and at No. 8 Texas Tech and will be without starting point guard Kamau Stokes who left Saturday’s loss to the Red Raiders with a foot injury. My selection is an 8* play on Oklahoma State Cowboys. |
01-10-18 | Jazz v. Wizards -7 | Top | 107-104 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 13 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BASKET BRAWLER The Washington Wizards took a 110-103 loss against Milwaukee in the opener of their five-game homestand on Saturday. That was the second night of a back-to-back, but they'll be well rested for this matchup with the struggling Jazz and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games following a straight up loss. We can also note that the Wizards will be seeking revenge for an embarrassing 116-69 loss at Utah last month. The Jazz have lost three straight, six of seven and 13 of their last 16. They're only 1-5 ATS in their last six road games and 0-5 ATS in their last five road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. The Wizards are averaging 110.2 ppg home at Capital One Arena and the Jazz are giving up 107.2 ppg on average away from home, way over their 101.7 ppg allowed overall. My selection is a 10* play on Washington Wizards. |
01-09-18 | Ole Miss +9 v. Auburn | 70-85 | Loss | -102 | 11 h 25 m | Show
CBB HARDWOOD HAMMER The Auburn Tigers have opened SEC play with a pair of wins over ranked opponents and they're 14-1 overall on the season, but the Mississippi Rebels are 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings with Auburn and they've not lost to the Tigers since 2012. I expect Ole Miss to put up a good fight here at Auburn Arena Tuesday night. The Rebels are coming off a 64-58 triumph over the by then 13-1 Mississippi State and average 30.1 points per game from the bench on the season. Their depth will keep them in this game. My selection is an 8* play on Ole Miss Rebels. |
01-09-18 | Blazers +8.5 v. Thunder | 117-106 | Win | 100 | 12 h 12 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Oklahoma City Thunder are back home from a three-game road trip, but it's just a brief stop before hitting the road for another two games. They took a 114-100 beating at Phoenix their last time out and I think points will come fast and easy for both teams here when they host the Portland Trail Blazers Tuesday night. Portland is coming off a 111-110 triumph over San Antonio and three of its last four games have gone over the total. The Blazers will be without point guard Damian Lillard but OKC will be without defensive stopper Andre Roberson for the fourth consecutive game with left patellar tendinitis. The Trail Blazers are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 road games and 10-4 ATS as an underdog this season. The Thunder are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 home games and 11-24 ATS as a favorite on the season. My selection is an 8* play on Portland Trail Blazers.  |
01-09-18 | Heat v. Raptors -5 | 90-89 | Loss | -108 | 10 h 51 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Toronto Raptors just barely beat the Nets at Brooklyn last night, winning 114-113 in overtime. Do we need to worry about tired legs for Toronto tonight. Well, note that the Raptors are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games when their starting 5 players combine for more than 160 minutes of the previous day, so I would say no. The Miami Heat are overrated here coming off four straight victories, but they've failed to cover the spread in each of the last two. The home team is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings and I expect the Raptors to get the job done. My selection is an 8* play on Toronto Raptors. |
01-08-18 | Hawks v. Clippers -4 | Top | 107-108 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 46 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* LATE NIGHT NBA BOOKIE BREAKER The Atlanta Hawks took a 132-113 beating at LA Lakers Sunday night, and this looks like a very tough spot to take on the Clippers on no rest. The LA Clippers have had a day off since a 121-105 loss to Golden State, and they'll be hungry for win coming off a pair of setbacks following a four-game winning streak. Blake Griffin has entered the NBA's concussion protocol after taking an elbow to the head in the loss to the Warriors. He is not expected to play Monday, but I think the rest of the team will come together (at least for this game) without the All-Star forward. Clippers are 11-3-1 ATS in their last 15 games overall and 6-1 ATS in their last seven when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game. We can also note that this is the second time this season the Clippers are a home favorite hosting an opponent playing on no rest, and they crushed Phoenix 130-88 in such a spot back in October. My selection is a 10* play on LA Clippers. |
01-07-18 | Knicks v. Mavs -4.5 | Top | 100-96 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 2 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BOOKIE BREAKER The New York Knicks are just 3-14 SU on the road for the season. This will be their third straight away game and sixth of seven since Dec. 27. Kristaps Porzingis complained how tired he was earlier this week and a 107-103 overtime loss in Miami on Friday won't have helped in that regard. Great spot to fade the Knickerbockers here as they're likely to look ahead to a pair of days rest before taking on Chicago. The Dallas Mavericks will be desperate for a win after opening a four-game homestand with losses against Golden State and Chicago. The Mavs are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games. My selection is a 10* play on Dallas Mavericks. |
01-07-18 | Missouri State -4.5 v. Illinois State | Top | 68-72 | Loss | -107 | 11 h 16 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (CBB) The 13-3 Missouri State Bears have reeled off four straight victories, the most recent a 62-55 triumph over Northern Iowa. They're 3-0-1 ATS during their winning streak and 7-1 ATS in their last eight road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. Today they'll visit Illinois State Redbirds who are 4-2 SU but just 1-3 ATS at home at Redbird Arena. The Redbirds are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. My CBB Game of the Week is a 10* play on Missouri State Bears. |
01-06-18 | Cavs -9 v. Magic | Top | 131-127 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 24 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BASKET BRAWLER The Cleveland Cavaliers have dropped their last five road games and took a 102-88 loss at Boston on Wednesday. This looks like a good spot to get back on track and feast on a lowly Magic side though. Orlando has lost three in a row after taking a 116-98 beating by the Rockets here at Amway Center Wednesday night. The Magic have covered the spread only once through their last eight games and they're 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games playing on two days rest. Cleveland is expected to have point guard Isaiah Thomas available for his second game of the season. He scored 17 points in 19 minutes off the bench in a 127-110 win over Portland on Tuesday. The Cavs are 15-5-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings and 8-1 ATS in the last nine meetings at Orlando. My selection is a 10* play on Cleveland Cavaliers. |
01-06-18 | Alabama +3.5 v. Georgia | 46-65 | Loss | -115 | 3 h 45 m | Show
SUPER EARLY BAMA @ GEORGIA CBB BOOKIE BREAKER The Alabama Crimson Tide will be looking to bounce back from a 76-75 loss at Vanderbilt when they visit the Georgia Bulldogs Saturday afternoon. They're still 4-1 ATS in their last five road games vs. a team with a winning home record and I think they'll put up a good fight here against the Georgia Bulldogs. Home court has not been much of a factor in recent meetings with the road team going 6-2 ATS the last eight in this series. My selection is an 8* play on Alabama Crimson Tide. |
01-05-18 | Jazz v. Nuggets -6.5 | 91-99 | Win | 100 | 20 h 42 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Home team is 7-0 ATS in the last seven meetings between the Utah Jazz and the Denver Nuggets, and that's a trend I expect to continue here Friday night. The Denver Nuggets closed out 2017 with a pair of losses, but they opened the new year with a convincing display in their 134-111 triumph over Phoenix on Wednesday. The Nuggets are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games following a straight up win of more than 10 points and 24-10 ATS in their last 34 games after scoring more than 125 points in their previous game. The Utah Jazz meanwhile have gone a month without a winning streak as they've lost four of their last five games and 11 of their last 14. They're 0-4 ATS in their last four road games vs. a team with a winning home record and took a 107-83 beating here in the Mile High City the day after Christmas.  My selection is a 10* play on Denver Nuggets. |
01-05-18 | Knicks v. Heat -5 | 103-107 | Loss | -107 | 19 h 42 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Miami Heat have won five of seven and nine of their last 13 following a 111-104 triumph over Detroit on Wednesday. They'll be looking to avenge a 115-86 loss at New York back in November, and this looks like a great time to take on the road weary Knicks. The Knickerbockers took a 121-103 loss at Washington on Wednesday night to drop to 3-13 on the road for the season. They're relying heavy on star forward Kristaps Porzingis, but he managed only 16 points against the Wizards, including just two points after halftime. "I'm so tired right now," Porzingis told the New York Post after the game. "I have one day to rest my legs and play better (against the Heat). My selection is an 8* play on Miami Heat. |
01-05-18 | Elon +5 v. Northeastern | 60-72 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 23 m | Show
CBB 3-PACK The Elon Phoenix have reeled off three straight victories, including underdog wins against Indiana State and Towson. Here Elon will visit the Northeastern Huskies who took a 71-70 loss as 5-point favorite against Hofstra their last time out. They're 0-6 ATS in their last six games vs. a team with a winning straight up record, and last season's two meetings with Elon were decided by a combined three points. My selection is an 8* play on Elon Phoenix. |
01-05-18 | NC-Wilmington +9.5 v. Towson | 71-89 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 22 m | Show
CBB 3-PACK The UNCW Seahawks will pay a visit to the Towson Tigers Friday night, and I think the visitors are getting way too many points to pass up on. Towson is coming off four straight defeats, and while the Tigers will be desperate to put an end to the skid home at SECU Arena tonight, keep in mind that this is primarily a defensive team which rarely blows the socks off its opponents. UNC Wilmington will be filled with confidence and looking to build on a 20-point victory over Drexel its last time out. The underdog is 15-2 ATS in the last 17 meetings and UNCW won 83-78 straight up as a 9.5-point underdog last season. My selection is an 8* play on UNC Wilmington Seahawks. |
01-03-18 | Suns v. Nuggets -11.5 | 111-134 | Win | 100 | 10 h 10 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Phoenix Suns recorded a 104-103 home win over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday, but I think they'll struggle here playing on no rest in high altitude in Denver. The Nuggets will be looking to open the new year with a victory after closing out 2017 with back-to-back defeats to Philadelphia and Minnesota. The Nuggets will be well rested and they're 35-15-2 ATS in their last 52 games playing on three or more days rest. We can also note that they've covered the spread in six straight meetings with the Suns. Over is 4-0 in the last four meetings and I expect Denver to prevail in a high-scoring affair. My selection is an 8* play on Denver Nuggets. |
01-03-18 | Pacers v. Bucks -7.5 | Top | 101-122 | Win | 100 | 19 h 21 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA ATS ANNIHILATOR The Indiana Pacers have gone into a tailspin, losing four straight games and failing to cover the spread in each of their last five. They took a 107-90 beating by Minnesota on New Year's Eve, and might once again be playing without leading scorer Victor Oladipo (knee). I predict another blowout loss when they visit Central Division rival Milwaukee Bucks Wednesday night. The Bucks were coming off back-to-back triumphs over Minnesota and OKC before falling to Toronto in OT on New Year's Day. It was still an impressive performance from this Bucks team which has covered the spread in three straight games. Bucks are 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a straight up loss. My selection is a 10* play on Milwaukee Bucks. |
01-03-18 | Clemson v. Boston College +5 | 74-70 | Win | 100 | 9 h 11 m | Show
CBB 3-PACK The Boston College Eagles had won five straight before coming up just one point short as 15.5-point underdog against ninth ranked Virginia on Saturday. They defeated Duke 89-84 in their ACC opener so there's no doubt that this Boston College team is a dangerous opponent. Here the Eagles will face a Clemson Tigers side that has won eight in a row and possibly due for a let down game. The Eagles are 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games vs. a team with a winning road record and I expect them to keep this a close contest until the very end. My selection is an 8* play on Boston College Eagles. |
01-03-18 | Ole Miss v. Georgia -3.5 | 60-71 | Win | 100 | 9 h 54 m | Show
CBB 3-PACK The Georgia Bulldogs lost by just five points as a 9.5-point underdog at Kentucky their last time out. They're 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a straight up loss and looking good to win and cover the spread here against the Ole Miss Rebels who grinded out a 74-69 victory over the Gamecocks at home in their SEC opener. They're however just 2-6 ATS in their last eight games following a straight up win and 2-7 ATS in their last nine games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. My selection is an 8* play on Georgia Bulldogs. |
01-02-18 | Spurs v. Knicks +4.5 | Top | 100-91 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 25 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BOOKIE BREAKER The New York Knicks took a 119-107 loss at San Antonio on December 28 but bounced back with a triumph at New Orleans two days later to end a four-game skid. They're looking to exact revenge on the Spurs here at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night, and I'm well happy to take the points on the home team in this contest. The Knicks have a .500 record overall on the season, but they're 15-6 SU and ATS in front of the home fans and we can note that the Spurs have a losing SU record away from home while going 6-12 ATS. My selection is a 10* play on NY Knicks. |
01-01-18 | Bucks v. Raptors -6 | Top | 127-131 | Loss | -105 | 15 h 10 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA NEW YEAR'S DAY DESTROYER The Toronto Raptors had won 12 of 13 before taking back-to-back losses at Dallas and Oklahoma City last week. They came back by putting a 111-98 beating on Atlanta on Friday, and I think they'll bring down the hammer on Milwaukee Bucks here on New Year's Day. Note that the Raptors are a solid 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a straight up win of more than 10 points. The Milwaukee Bucks are coming off back-to-back victories against Minnesota and Oklahoma City, but this is a tough spot on the road following the New Year celebrations. Note that the Bucks are just 1-8-3 ATS in their last 12 against Eastern Conference foes and 3-7-2 ATS in their last 12 games following a straight up win. My selection is a 10* play on Toronto Raptors. |
12-31-17 | Georgia +10 v. Kentucky | Top | 61-66 | Win | 100 | 18 h 7 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (CBB) The Georgia Bulldogs have already recorded three victories against 2017 NCAA tournament qualifiers, and I think they'll give the Kentucky Wildcats all they can handle on New Years Eve. Kentucky has a lot of talent and aims for its fourth consecutive regular-season SEC title, but the Wildcats are in a let down spot after mauling in-state rival Louisville 90-61 on Friday. Georgia meanwhile will be well rested with plenty of time off since its 84-66 rout of Temple on Dec. 22. My CBB Game of the Week is a 10* play on Georgia Bulldogs. |
12-31-17 | Bulls +7 v. Wizards | Top | 110-114 | Win | 100 | 16 h 10 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA ATS ANNIHILATOR The Washington Wizards took down the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day, only to lose at the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. They're in a similar spot here coming off an impressive 121-103 triumph over Houston. The Wizards are only 1-5 ATS in its last six games following a straight up win and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games vs. a team with a losing straight up record. Chicago has proven extremely hard to beat lately both straight up and against the spread. The Bulls enter this contest riding a three-game winning streak and they'll be looking to close out the year as winners of 11 of their last 13 games. They're 13-2-1 ATS in their last 16 games overall and the road team is 14-6 ATS in the last 20 meetings with the Wizards. My selection is a 10* play on Chicago Bulls. |
12-30-17 | Cavs -3.5 v. Jazz | 101-104 | Loss | -105 | 13 h 35 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Cleveland Cavaliers are coming off back-to-back losses, first a 99-92 setback at Golden State on Christmas Day followed by a 109-95 loss to Sacramento on Wednesday. They'll no doubt head into this contest angry and hungry for a win. "Sometimes, when you're winning as much as you're winning, you have slippage," Cleveland guard Dwyane Wade told reporters. "We've had some slippage, and we've got to figure out a way to nip it in the bud before it becomes: 'We in a rut, and we've got to get ourselves back out of it.'" As a bonus we can note that today is LeBron James' 33rd birthday, and you better believe the team wants to celebrate him with a victory. I think the Cavs will bounce back against a Utah side that took a 126-101 loss at Golden State on Wednesday. The Jazz have now lost three in a row and 10 of their last 12. My selection is an 8* play on Cleveland Cavaliers. |
12-30-17 | Wichita State -10 v. Connecticut | Top | 72-62 | Push | 0 | 5 h 35 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* CBB ATS ANNIHILATOR The Wichita State Shockers (10-2) look like a solid road favorite at Connecticut Huskies (7-5) Saturday night. This will be their first American Athletic Conference game, and there's no doubt they'll be pumped up for it. "Obviously you want to make a good first impression," Shockers sophomore guard Landry Shamet told the Wichita Eagle about their nationally televised AAC debut. "But we’re approaching this like we would with any other good teams we’ve played. We just look at it like we have another good team we have to go try and beat." The Huskies are 1-3 SU in their last four contests, 2-7 ATS overall on the season and 0-3 ATS home at XL Center. They're averaging 70.0 ppg and there's just no way they'll keep up with this Shockers team that averages 85.8 ppg. My selection is a 10* play on Wichita State Shockers. |
12-29-17 | Colorado +3.5 v. Oregon State | 57-76 | Loss | -105 | 14 h 34 m | Show
CBB 3-PACK The Colorado Buffaloes and the Oregon State Beavers will open their Pac 12 action Friday night with an identical 8-4 record. The Colorado Buffaloes have dropped four of their last six following a 6-0 start to the season. They have however won four of the last five meetings with the Oregon State Beavers and I expect them to put up a good fight here at Gill Coliseum Friday night. Colorado has yet to win a true road game, but the Beavers are just 1-6 ATS at home on the season. My selection is an 8* play on Colorado Buffaloes. |
12-29-17 | Washington +11 v. USC | 88-81 | Win | 100 | 13 h 60 m | Show
CBB 3-PACK The Washington Huskies and the USC Trojans will clash in the Pac 12 opener for both teams Friday night. The Huskies have won eight of their last nine games and I think they'll give the Trojans all they can handle here. They're great at hustling their opponent and lead the Pac-12 and rank 15th nationally with 9.3 steals per game, which can be compared to the Trojans' 4.8 steals per game. USC is coming off three consecutive triumphs, but the last two haven’t been very impressive, just barely beating Middle Tennessee St. and a come-from-behind victory against New Mexico State on Christmas Day. This looks like too many points to cover for the home team. My selection is an 8* play on Washington Huskies. |
12-29-17 | Pacers v. Bulls -3 | Top | 107-119 | Win | 100 | 18 h 33 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BUCKET BREAKER The Chicago Bulls are without a doubt one of the league's hottest teams as they into this Central Division matchup with the Indiana Pacers home at United Center Friday night. The Pacers have won each of the last three meetings, including a 98-96 victory at Indiana on Dec. 6, but Chicago is 9-2 since forward Nikola Mirotic returned from facial fractures one game after the loss in Indiana. The Pacers are coming off back-to-back losses, most recently a 98-94 home loss to the Mavericks on Wednesday. Leading scorer Victor Oladipo missed the contest due to a knee injury and he has already been ruled out for this one. Bullsare 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 games overall and the home team is 13-6 ATS in the last 19 meetings in this series. My selection is a 10* play on Chicago Bulls. |
12-29-17 | Baylor +6.5 v. Texas Tech | 53-77 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 29 m | Show
CBB 3-PACK The Baylor Bears (10-2) and the Texas Red Raiders (11-1) are both entering Big 12 play with impressive records. The Bears are 13-5 ATS in their last 18 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and I think taking the points on the visitors is the right play here. Texas Tech lost just once during non-conference play to a veteran Seton Hall team, but I'm still not convinced its defense will hold up here against the Bears. Note that Baylor has scored 99 points or more in three of its last five games. My selection is an 8* play on Baylor Bears. |
12-28-17 | Knicks v. Spurs -11.5 | Top | 107-119 | Win | 100 | 11 h 17 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA ATS ANNIHILATOR The New York Knicks can compete with just about anyone home at Madison Square Garden, but it's a completely different story on the road where the Knickerbockers are just 2-11 SU (4-9 ATS). They'll play on no rest here after falling 92-87 at Chicago last night, and the Knicks will be facing one of the absolute strongest home teams in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs going 16-2 SU (12-5-1 ATS) home at AT&T Center. The Spurs have had a days rest since beating Brooklyn 109-97 on Dec. 26 when Kawhi Leonard delivered 21 points in a season-high 26 minutes. He has played in just five games after suffering a quadriceps injury prior to the campaign and his return is a massive boost for San Antonio. The Spurs are 7-0-1 ATS in their last eight games playing on one days rest and 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. My selection is a 10* play on San Antonio Spurs. |
12-27-17 | Grizzlies v. Lakers -2.5 | Top | 109-99 | Loss | -110 | 22 h 31 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA GAME OF THE WEEK The Memphis Grizzlies are in a tough spot here, playing on no rest after a tight loss at Phoenix last night. The LA Lakers have lost six of their last seven, but they've had a days rest since losing to Minnesota here at Staples Center on Christmas Day, and they're 7-1 ATS in their last eight playing on one days rest. The Grizzlies have failed to cover the spread in each of their last five games and they're 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400. Home team is 5-0 ATS in the last five meetings and I'm confident this is a supreme situation to back the Lakers. My selection is a 10* play on LA Lakers. |
12-26-17 | Kings v. Clippers -5 | 95-122 | Win | 100 | 21 h 4 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The LA Clippers had won two in a row before taking a 115-112 loss at Memphis their last time out. Clippers guard Austin Rivers is red hot and has set a career high in scoring in consecutive games with 36 in an upset win at Houston on Friday and then 38 in the loss to the Grizzlies. I think they'll get back in the winners circle when they host the Sacramento Kings Tuesday night. Sacramento had also won two straight before recently falling 108-99 to San Antonio on Saturday. This will be tough mentally to play on the road the day after Christmas, and we can note that the Clippers are 7-1-1 ATS in their last nine games overall. My selection is an 8* play on LA Clippers |
12-26-17 | Raptors v. Mavs +5 | 93-98 | Win | 100 | 18 h 48 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Toronto Raptors will try to extend their winning streak to seven straight victories when they visit the Dallas Mavericks Tuesday night. The Mavs have lost two straight five of their last six, but I think they'll make a stand here. The motivation will be low for the visitors, on the road just after the Christmas celebrations facing a non-conference opponent that owns the worst record in the West. The Mavericks are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games playing on two days rest. My selection is an 8* play on Dallas Mavericks. |
12-25-17 | Rockets -4.5 v. Thunder | 107-112 | Loss | -110 | 107 h 21 m | Show
XMAS DAY NBA 3-PACK The Oklahoma City Thunder have finally found some kind of consistency, coming off four straight victories. I think they're about to run into trouble here though when they host a Houston Rockets team looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses to first the Lakers, and most recently a 128-118 loss as a 10-point favorite against the Clippers. Note that the Rockets are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a double-digit loss at home and 7-1 ATS in their last eight road games. The Thunder meanwhile are 1-7 ATS in their last eight home games and 4-12 ATS in their last 16 games overall. OKC is overrated because of the trio of Carmelo Anthony, Paul George and Russell Westbrook. They do not have the depth to compete with a squad like the Rockets. My selection is an 8* play on Houston Rockets.  |
12-25-17 | Wizards v. Celtics -5 | 111-103 | Loss | -110 | 105 h 51 m | Show
XMAS DAY NBA 3-PACK The Boston Celtics have been inconsistent lately, but they're coming off a 117-92 triumph against the Bulls and I think they'll make it two in a row when hosting the Washington Wizards on Christmas Day. The Wizards took a 119-84 beating at Brooklyn on Friday before bouncing back at home against the injury-ravaged Orlando Magic. The Wizards are however 4-10 ATS in their last 14 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. These two teams really don't like each other so motivation won't be an issue for either side, but the home cookin' is strong in this series and the Wizards are 0-9 ATS in the last nine meetings in Boston. My selection is an 8* play on Boston Celtics.  |
12-25-17 | Cavs v. Warriors -6.5 | 92-99 | Win | 100 | 103 h 35 m | Show
XMAS DAY NBA 3-PACK The Golden State Warriors were held to a season-low 81 points and 3-for-27 3-point shooting by Denver in a home loss Saturday night. They had won 11 straight prior to that setback, and I think they'll show up here for this marquee matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers. This will be the third consecutive year those teams battle it out on Christmas Day, with the home team winning both times. Home team is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in the series overall. The Cavs failed to cover the spread in a 115-112 home win against Chicago their last time out and only 1-5 ATS in their last six games. I really like the fact that we get the Warriors off a loss here. They'll be looking to make things right in front of the home fans. My selection is an 8* play on Golden State Warriors. |
12-23-17 | Wolves v. Suns +7.5 | 115-106 | Loss | -102 | 18 h 15 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Minnesota Timberwolves are coming off back-to-back triumphs against Portland and Denver, but I think they're about to run into trouble at Phoenix Saturday night. The Sun are coming off a 97-95 win against Memphis and they've covered the spread in four of their last five games. The Wolves are two games clear at the top of the Southeast Division and probably just looking forward to get home for Christmas Eve before taking on the Lakers at LA the next day. The Suns are just 5-12 SU at home on the season but 19-7-1 ATS in their last 27 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. Timberwolves are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of less than .400. My selection is an 8* play on Phoenix Suns. |
12-23-17 | Clippers v. Grizzlies -4.5 | 112-115 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 16 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The LA Clippers defeated the Rockets 128-118 as a 12-point dog at Houston Friday night. They'll visit the Memphis Grizzlies here on no rest, and I like the home team as the shorthanded Clippers surely will struggle with their lack of depth. Both teams are banged up, but the Clippers are in an obvious let down spot while Memphis is in dire need of a win after losing three straight and eight of its last nine. The Grizzlies won 113-104 at LA back in November, and it will be tough for the Clippers to get revenge tonight. My selection is an 8* play on Memphis Grizzlies. |
12-23-17 | Bulls +7 v. Celtics | 92-117 | Loss | -103 | 17 h 44 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Chicago Bulls had literally been unbeatable since getting Nikola Mirotic back in the lineup prior to a setback at Cleveland their last time out. Losing 115-112 at Cleveland is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of though, and they're still a perfect 9-0 ATS through their last nine games. The Boston Celtics have completely fallen apart lately and coming off back-to-back losses to the Heat and the Knicks. They're 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven games and in a look ahead spot with a date with the Wizards coming up on Christmas Day. Let's roll with the Bulls. My selection is an 8* play on Chicago Bulls. |
12-23-17 | Nets v. Pacers -10 | 119-123 | Loss | -110 | 16 h 41 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Brooklyn Nets upset the Wizards at Washington Friday night, winning 119-84 at home. I think they'll struggle on the road at Indiana here though, as they'll be playing on no rest against a Pacers team that has had two full days off since beating the Hawks at Atlanta by double digits on Wednesday. Pacers are 24-9 ATS in their last 33 games playing on two days rest and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400. Nets are 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings and 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings in Indiana. My selection is an 8* play on Indiana Pacers. |
12-23-17 | Tennessee v. Wake Forest +1.5 | Top | 79-60 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 54 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* SUPER EARLY CBB BOOKIE BREAKER The Wake Forest Demon Deacons have won six in a row following a 1-4 start to the season. I think they'll give the visiting Tennessee Volunteers more than they can handle here Saturday afternoon. The Vols took a 78-73 loss against UNC on Dec 17 and won by only five points as a 16-point favorite against Furman three days later. They shot just 37.1 percent against Furman while Wake Forest is coming off a terrific 51% shooting performance against Coastal Carolina its last time out. The Demon Deacons have shot above 50 percent in each outing during the winning streak. The Demon Deacons are 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 home games and 10-1 ATS in their last 11 Saturday games. Wake Forest officials have made efforts to try to draw a big pre-holiday crowd, and I think the home court advantage will prove to be worth a lot here in this afternoon game. My selection is a 10* play on Wake Forest Demon Deacons. |
12-22-17 | Clippers v. Rockets -11.5 | Top | 128-118 | Loss | -104 | 18 h 3 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (NBA) The Houston Rockets had won 14 straight, more often than not in blowout fashion, prior to taking a 122-116 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday. I have no doubt they'll get back to their winning ways with a big outing when they host the LA Clippers Friday night. The Clippers put an end to a three-game skid with a 108-95 home triumph against Phoenix on Wednesday, but they had averaged only 89 ppg through three consecutive losses on the road prior to that. The Clip Show are averaging only 99.5 ppg on the road for the season (compared to 103.5 ppg overall) while the Rockets are averaging an amazing 116 ppg home at Toyota Center. Houston's Chris Paul will this game against his former team due to injury, but the Clippers will be even worse for wear playing without three starters (Beverley, Gallinari, Griffin).  My NBA Game of the Month is a 10* play on Houston Rockets. |
12-21-17 | Celtics v. Knicks +4 | Top | 93-102 | Win | 100 | 10 h 9 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BASKET BRAWLER The Boston Celtics coughed up a big lead for a second straight game when they fell 90-89 to Miami Wednesday night. They'll play on no rest here at New York the following night and are just 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games playing on back-to-back nights. The New York Knicks are 14-5 SU and ATS home at Madison Square Garden on the season and they expect to have star forward Kristaps Porzingis back in the lineup after missing the last two games due to knee soreness. The Knicks will be well rested and looking to bounce back from a dreadful performance in Monday's 109-91 loss at Charlotte. They had won four straight prior to that setback and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games following a straight up loss. My selection is a 10* play on NY Knicks. |
12-20-17 | Kansas State v. Washington State +10 | Top | 68-65 | Win | 100 | 15 h 39 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* LATE NIGHTCRAWLER - KSU @ WSU The Kansas State Wildcats have done just enough to win pretty much the whole season and they're 1-6 ATS through their last seven games. I think they're asked to cover way too many points again when they visit the Washington St. Cougars Wednesday night. The Cougars were coming off three ugly losses but defeated IUPUI their last time out. Washington State was 8-for-20 from behind the arc in that contest and ranks fifth nationally in made 3-pointers at 11.7 per game. The Cougars are never truly out of a game with shooting like that and Kansas State just gave up 11 3-pointers against SEMO. The Wildcats are coming off three straight games home at Friel Court and they're just 6-14-2 ATS in their last 22 road games following three or more consecutive home games. My selection is a 10* play on Washington State Cougars. |
12-20-17 | Grizzlies v. Warriors -10 | 84-97 | Win | 100 | 13 h 41 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Golden State Warriors have lost only six games all season, and one of those setbacks came at Memphis on Oct. 21 when the Grizzlies defeated the Warriors 111-101. I expect the Warriors to show up to avenge that defeat with a blowout victory here against the banged up Grizzlies who have lost 17 of their last 19 games. Golden State has some injuries as well and Steph Curry is expected to miss this game, but it has plenty of depth and Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson have been able to carry the team of late. Grizzlies are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record. Warriors are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. My selection is an 8* play on Golden State Warriors. |
12-20-17 | Heat v. Celtics -8 | 90-89 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 59 m | Show
NBA 3-PACK The Boston Celtics almost blew a 19-point lead at Indiana on Monday but managed to score the winner in the dying seconds of the game. I don't think they'll make the same mistake again and instead roll from start to finish here when they host the Miami Heat Wednesday night. Miami is coming off a 110-104 loss at Atlanta and has covered the spread in only three of its last four games. Miami center Hassan Whiteside (knee) did not travel with the team to Boston and guard Goran Dragic missed Monday's loss due to an elbow injury. The teams have split the first two meetings of the season with the Heat winning the last encounter 104-98 home at Miami, putting an end to the Celtics 17-game winning streak. Boston will no doubt be looking for revenge tonight, and I expect the Celtics to show up for this game. My selection is an 8* play on Boston Celtics. |
12-19-17 | Georgia Tech +4.5 v. Georgia | 59-80 | Loss | -104 | 11 h 31 m | Show
CBB 3-PACK The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets' guard Josh Okogie missed the first eight games of the season due to a suspension and a finger injury but scored 19 points in 28 minutes in a 79-54 home victory over Florida A&M on Sunday. The Yellow Jackets are averaging only 65.6 ppg, but they should do better from here on with Okogie back on the floor. The Georgia Bulldogs had scored 70+ points through four straight victories before taking a 72-62 loss at Massachusetts their last time out. Over is 7-1 in Bulldogs last eight home games. I think the total is set way too low here, and I expect the Yellow Jackets to put up plenty of points and hang in there until the end. My selection is an 8* play on Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. |
12-19-17 | South Carolina v. Clemson -7 | 48-64 | Win | 100 | 8 h 29 m | Show
CBB 3-PACK The Clemson Tigers beat the South Carolina Gamecocks 62-60 on the road last season, and they're coming off an impressive 71-69 win as a 6.5-point dog against Florida. They're averaging 78.9 ppg on 50.2 percent shooting from the field. Their 59 percent clip on 2-point field goals ranks ninth in the country. The Gamecocks just barely got by Coastal Carolina their last time out, winning 80-78 as a 15-point favorite and they allowed their opponent to shoot 46 percent from the field. My selection is an 8* play on Clemson Tigers. |
12-18-17 | Texas-Arlington v. Creighton -12 | 81-90 | Loss | -125 | 10 h 56 m | Show
SUBSCRIBERS ONLY The Creighton Bluejays are perfect 6-0 home at CenturyLink Center this season, and their only losses this campaign have come against Gonzaga and Baylor. I think they'll make light work of the UT Arlington Mavericks Monday night. Creighton beat UMES 87-36 as a 36.5-point favorite on Friday while UT Arlington recorded an 86-65 win at Texas Rio Grande Valley on Saturday. Starting point guard Erick Neal is questionable for the Mavs tonight, which would be a huge blow as their two seniors – Kevin Hervey and Neal are running the offense. Creighton has a terrific offense, ranked 9th in the nation for scoring offense and 10th in field goal percentage. My selection is an 8* play on Creighton Bluejays. |
12-18-17 | Suns v. Mavs -6.5 | 97-91 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 46 m | Show
NBA ATS ANNIHILATOR The Dallas Maverick have played competitive basketball lately despite winning only three of their last 10 games. They're 7-2-1 ATS during that span and just barely lost to the Spurs (98-96) on Saturday after coughing up an 11-point lead in the final four-plus minutes. Tonight they'll host a Phoenix Suns team that snapped a six-game losing skid with a come-from-behind 108-106 win as a 12-point dog at Minnesota on Saturday. Let down spot for the Suns here, and my money is on the Mavs. My selection is an 8* play on Dallas Mavericks. |
12-18-17 | Charlotte +3 v. East Carolina | 69-50 | Win | 100 | 8 h 1 m | Show
CBB BOOKIE BREAKER The Charlotte 49ers are losers of four straight, and coach Mark Price lost his job after a 64-50 setback at Chattanoga on Dec. 10. "We’re trending in the wrong direction," 49ers athletics director Judy Rose said. Rose also said she didn’t see the 49ers playing hard for Price, particularly in the defeat at Chattanooga, when Charlotte managed just two offensive rebounds. Assistant Houston Fancher has been named the interim coach, and the 49ers hope to get the same effect as East Carolina got after its own coaching change, winning three straight under Michael Perry. I think the coaching change will give Charlotte a boost, and I'm taking the points on the visitors in this matchup. My selection is an 8* play on Charlotte 49ers. |
12-16-17 | Mavs +8.5 v. Spurs | Top | 96-98 | Win | 100 | 21 h 34 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BASKET BRAWLER Tough spot for the San Antonio Spurs who took a 124-109 beating at Houston last night. They're 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games playing on no rest. The Dallas Mavericks are still not winning many games, but they're 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games and defeated the Spurs 95-89 at home earlier this week to improve to 6-1 ATS in the last seven head-to-head meetings. My selection is a 10* play on Dallas Mavericks. |
12-16-17 | Virginia Tech +6 v. Kentucky | 86-93 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 14 m | Show
CBB BANKROLL BUILDER The Virginia Tech Hokies lead the country with an average of 96 points per game on 55% shooting, and I think they'll give the Kentucky Wildcats all they can handle here on Saturday. The Wildcats have been asked to cover too big spreads more often than not this season while Virginia Tech has done extremely well against the spread, and it is 10-2 ATS in its last 12 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. My selection is an 8* play on Virginia Tech Hokies. |
12-15-17 | Jazz v. Celtics -5.5 | Top | 107-95 | Loss | -108 | 11 h 24 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BOOKIE BREAKER The Boston Celtics opened the week with a 108-85 loss at Chicago without Kyrie Irving (quadriceps), but he was back for Wednesday's 124-118 win over Denver and left the hardwood with 33 points. The Utah Jazz are struggling, coming off four straight defeats and they've failed to cover the spread in each of the last three. Celtics are 9-3-2 ATS in their last 14 home games and 18-6-2 ATS in their last 26 games playing on one days rest. Jazz are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 road games and 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games playing on one days rest. Boston has won eight straight head-to-head meetings with the Jazz home at TD Garden, going 6-0-2 ATS during that stretch. My selection is a 10* play on Boston Celtics. |
12-15-17 | Clippers v. Wizards -9 | 91-100 | Push | 0 | 8 h 7 m | Show
NBA HARDWOOD HAMMER The LA Clippers opened their road trip with a 106-95 win over the Magic Wednesday night for their third straight win, but I think they're about to run into some serious trouble in the nations capital tonight. The Wizards are coming off a 93-87 home win over the Grizzlies Wednesday night as they welcomed All-Star point guard John Wall (knee) back from injury. Los Angeles has been forced to play without starters Patrick Beverley (knee), Blake Griffin (knee) and Danilo Gallinari (hip) for quite some time and has guard Austin Rivers ruled out for this contest with a concussion. Good revenge spot for the Wizards after taking a 113-112 loss at LA on Dec. 9. My selection is an 8* play on Washington Wizards. |

12-14-17 | Lakers +10 v. Cavs | 112-121 | Win | 100 | 17 h 27 m | Show
3-PACK The Los Angeles Lakers are on fire and they were oh so close to make it three wins in a row before dropping a 113-109 decision at the New York Knicks in overtime on Tuesday. Tonight they'll visit a Cleveland Cavaliers team that is going for its 16th win in 17 games, but the Cavs have just covered the spread in two of their last seven games overall and they're 3-15 ATS in their last 18 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400. My selection is an 8* play on Los Angeles Lakers. |

12-14-17 | Pistons -3.5 v. Hawks | 105-91 | Win | 100 | 17 h 53 m | Show
3-PACK The Detroit Pistons will try to end a seven-game slide when they visit Atlanta Thursday night. The schedule has not been kind though, and I think they'll get the better of the Hawks tonight. Atlanta has covered the spread in four straight and six of its last seven games and I think the linemakers have overreacted to that fact, not giving the Hawks enough points tonight. Detroit beat Atlanta 111-104 at home on Nov. 10 and I predict a similar result in favor of the Pistons in this encounter. My selection is an 8* play on Detroit Pistons. |

12-12-17 | Lakers v. Knicks -3.5 | Top | 109-113 | Win | 100 | 12 h 22 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BASKET BRAWLER The L.A. Lakers have opened their four-game road swing with back-to-back upset triumphs at Philadelphia and Charlotte, but I think they're due for a let down game at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night. The Knicks have won just one game on the road this season, but they are a solid 12-5 SU and ATS in front of the home town crowd. We can also note that they're 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games vs. a team with a losing road record and 6-1 ATS in their last seven against teams from the Western Conference. My selection is a 10* play on New York Knicks. |

12-11-17 | Raptors -5.5 v. Clippers | Top | 91-96 | Loss | -105 | 19 h 30 m | Show |
TOP RATED 10* NBA BOOKIE BREAKER The Toronto Raptors are coming off a 102-87 triumph at Sacramento on Sunday, their sixth straight victory and they've averaged 117 ppg during that stretch. They're 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games playing on no rest and I don't think they'll have any trouble with the Clippers at L.A. here Monday night. The Clippers snapped a four-game losing streak with a dramatic win over Washington on Saturday, but they're hampered by injuries and just 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games overall. My selection is a 10* play on Toronto Raptors. |
