09-20-20 | Ravens -7 v. Texans | Top | 33-16 | Win | 102 | 103 h 6 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NFL) - SUNDAY FOOTBALL MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY The Houston Texans couldn't keep it close with the Chiefs at Arrowhead in their season opener, losing 34-20. They'll run into another powerhouse in Week 2, and I expect a similar outcome. The Baltimore Ravens are coming off a dominant 38-6 win over AFC North rival Cleveland. Sure, we don't know if beating the Browns actually have any merit yet, but the Ravens' offense sure was on point with 275 passing yards and three TD passes from Lamar Jackson and 107 rushing yards for the team. Patrick Mahomes had three touchdown passes against Hoston in the season opener, and Jackson should have plenty of success as well. Lay the points with the Ravens without hesitation. 10* play on Baltimore Ravens. |

09-20-20 | Yankees -1.5 v. Red Sox | Top | 2-10 | Loss | -115 | 5 h 2 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (MLB) - TOP RATED RUNLINE RIPPER MAJOR WAGER The New York Yankees are riding a season-high 10-game winning streak and they have covered the runline in all but two of those games. They put an 8-0 beating on the Red Sox on Saturday and here they'll get to tee of versus right-hander Tanner Houck (1-0, 0.00 ERA) who will make just his second career start. While Houck did a good job shutting down Miami through seven frames in his debut, taking on the Yankees is just a whole different animal. Rookie right-hander Deivi Garcia (2-1, 3.28 ERA) will take the ball for the Yankees, coming off back-to-back seven inning outings. The Yankees have won three of his previous four starts, covering the runline in all wins. 10* play on New York Yankees -1.5. |
09-20-20 | Brighton & Hove Albion v. Newcastle United | Top | 3-0 | Loss | -113 | 46 h 18 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (SOCCER) - TOP RATED EPL MAX PLAY Newcastle made some smart signings during the short break between seasons. England international striker Callum Wilson and midfielder Jeff Hendrick, both new for the season, scored the goals in their 2-0 win over West Ham last Sunday at the London Stadium. Brighton on the other hand opened the season with a 3-1 loss to Chelsea on Tuesday at the American Express Community Stadium. They did not only lose the game but also lost new signing midfielder Adam Lallana to an injury and he is unlikely to play in this one. Brighton took a lot of teams by surprise last season, but now teams know better what to expect. I like Newcastle to win. 10* play on Newcastle PK. |
09-19-20 | Yankees -1.5 v. Red Sox | Top | 8-0 | Win | 100 | 10 h 40 m | Show |
SATURDAY NIGHT MLB RUNLINE RIPPER TOP PLAY The New York Yankees are riding a nine-game winning streak after coming back from a four-run deficit to defeat Boston in extra innings on Friday. They have covered the runline in all but two of those nine triumphs and I like them to win big Saturday. Yankees southpaw J.A. Happ (1-2, 3.96 ERA) is 12-4 with a 2.95 ERA in 26 outings (25 starts) against the Red Sox. He held them to one run on three hits through 5 2/3 innings of a 4-2 Yankees win back in August. Chris Mazza (1-1, 5.57 ERA) will take the ball for Boston for his fifth career start. He faced the Yankees twice in the Bronx back in August, allowing a total of four runs on nine hits over 5 2/3 innings of work. Boston lost both games, 5-2 and 4-2. 10* play on New York Yankees -1.5. |
09-19-20 | Navy +7 v. Tulane | Top | 27-24 | Win | 100 | 28 h 7 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NCAAF) - NAVY @ TULANE TOP PLAY The Navy Midshipmen got absolutely obliterated in their season opener when they lost 55-3 to BYU, in what was expected to be a close, game closing as just a 1-point underdog. Navy had no physical practices and no hitting preparation for their season opener, but now with a game under their belt, I expect a much better performance from Navy. We can also note that the Midshipmen are 10-1-1 ATS in their last 12 games following a straight-up loss of more than 20 points. Tulane opened the season with an unconvincing 27-24 win as an 11.5-point favorite at South Alabama. A 14-0 fourth-quarter sealed the deal, but they were outplayed for three quarters and QB Keon Howard was just 14-of-30 passing for 191 yards and no touchdown passes. 10* play on Navy Midshipmen. |
09-18-20 | Nuggets v. Lakers UNDER 211.5 | Top | 114-126 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 10 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NBA) - NUGGETS VS LAKERS WCF GAME 1 TOP PLAY The Denver Nuggets held the Clippers to 96, 105, 98 and 89 points through the last four games of their Western Conference semi-finals series. The LA Lakers also stepped up defensively in their series with Houston, holding the Rockets to 102, 100 and 96 points through the last three games. Denver ranked second to last for pace during the regular season and will surely be looking to slow down the tempo in this one. Under is 6-0-2 in Nuggets last 8 overall. Under is 4-1 in Lakers last 5 overall. 10* play on UNDER. |
09-18-20 | Braves v. Mets UNDER 8.5 | Top | 15-2 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 13 m | Show |
BRAVES @ METS FRIDAY NIGHT MLB TOTAL TOP PLAY I think we will see a relatively low-scoring affair in this battle between left-handers. Mets' southpaw Steven Matz (0-4, 8.63 ERA) is having a tough year, but note that he is 6-2 with a 2.83 ERA in 14 starts against the Braves who are hitting just .233 against left-handers on the season. Atlanta lefty Max Fried (6-0, 1.98 ERA) is having a great year and he is 2-1 with a 3.00 ERA in 12 games (seven starts) against the Mets who are hitting right-hander better than left-handers. Under is 5-1 in Braves last 6 road games vs. a left-handed starter. Under is 5-2 in the last 7 head-to-head meetings at Citi Field. 10* play on UNDER. |
09-16-20 | Pirates v. Reds -1.5 | Top | 0-1 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 9 m | Show |
WEDNESDAY NIGHT MLB RUNLINE RIPPER TOP PLAY The Cincinnati Reds are riding a four-game winning streak and are going for the sweep of this four-game series on Wednesday. While they are making a series push for a playoff spot, the NL Central-worst Pittsburgh Pirates are heading in the opposite direction, entering this contest off seven consecutive losses. Cincinnati right-hander Luis Castillo (2-5, 3.44 ERA) is coming off a nine-inning complete game while allowing just two hits in a 3-1 win at St. Louis. He owns a 3.00 ERA in nine career starts against the Pirates who hand the ball to J.T. Brubaker. Brubaker (1-1, 5.34 ERA) was lit up for seven runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings of an 8-1 loss to Chicago White Sox last time out. This will be his first start against the Reds, who have scored 26 runs over their last four games. 10* play on Cincinnati Reds. |
09-15-20 | Heat v. Celtics -120 | Top | 117-114 | Loss | -120 | 20 h 7 m | Show |
HEAT VS CELTICS EC FINALS GAME 1 MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY The Miami Heat have looked dominant in the playoffs, but I'm still not sure they'll be able to keep it close with Boston. Not to take away anything from the Heat, but looking at their previous playoffs matchups they first defeated a depleted Pacers side, and something was just not right with the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks ever since entering the Orlando bubble. The Celtics had a tough series with Toronto but came through with a meriting Game 7 win on Friday. Sure, the series went the distance, but they've had plenty of time to rest and recover without losing a step. Miami has not played since Sep 8 when they knocked out the Bucks and might have lost the playoff mode mentality and cooled off during their week off from competitive games. Miami is scrappy, but Boston has more star power and I'm backing the Celtics to take Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. 10* play on Boston Celtics. |
09-14-20 | Braves -1.5 v. Orioles | Top | 1-14 | Loss | -109 | 9 h 8 m | Show |
MONDAY NIGHT MLB RUNLINE RIPPER TOP PLAY The Baltimore Orioles have dropped five of the bounce while the Atlanta Braves have won four of their last five. Braves' righty Touki Toussaint (0-1, 7.89 ERA) has admittedly had a poor start to the season, but note that Baltimore has scored just three runs over its last four games. Also, I think Toussaint will get plenty of run support from a motivated Braves lineup looking to make sure the team holds on to their lead in the NL East division. The Orioles on the other hand are pretty much out of the playoff race, sitting second to last in the AL East, 9.5 games behind leading Tampa Bay. Right-hander Jorge Lopez (1-0, 6.38 ERA) is struggling and gave up five runs on six hits in 4 2/3 innings against the Mets last time out. Here he'll face an Atlanta side that is hitting .277 against right-handers on the season. Braves are 7-1 in their last 8 road games and 12-2 in their last 14 interleague games vs. a team with a losing record. Orioles are 2-10 in their last 12 interleague home games vs. a team with a winning record. 10* play on Atlanta Braves -1.5. |
09-13-20 | Bucs +3.5 v. Saints | Top | 23-34 | Loss | -109 | 124 h 22 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NFL) - BUCS @ SAINTS MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY The New Orleans Saints are just 2-7 SU (1-8 ATS) in Week 1 dating back to the 2011 season. I think they're in for another tough season opener here against a Tampa Bay Buccaneers team with a new QB in Tom Brady at the helm and unretired tight end Rob Gronkowski, LeSean McCoy, and Leonard Fournette joining the ranks. They boasted the best rush defense in the NFL last season, and while they've consistently been one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL over the last two seasons, they've brought in reinforcements and should be better against the pass this year. Considering no fans in the Superdome, no preseason games, and the Saints' Week 1 record in recent season, I'm happy to take the road underdog in this contest. 10* play on Tampa Bay Buccaneers. |
09-13-20 | Alexander Zverev v. Dominic Thiem -5 | Top | 2-3 | Loss | -110 | 38 h 42 m | Show |
GAME OF THE YEAR (TENNIS) - TOP RATED US OPEN MAJOR WAGER Zverev was forced to battle back from a 2-0 set deficit against Carreno Busta in the sem-finals on Friday. He's had a day to recover, but I don't see him keeping it close here against Thiem who defeated a strong opponent in Medvedev in straight sets in their semi-final clash. Additionally, note Thiem's solid 7-2 record in head-to-head matchups. He defeated Zverev in four sets in Australian Open earlier this year and I think he'll win this one relatively comfortably. 10* play on Dominic Thiem. |
09-13-20 | Indians v. Twins UNDER 8 | Top | 5-7 | Loss | -100 | 5 h 39 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (MLB) - INDIANS @ TWINS TOTAL TOP PLAY The Minnesota Twins are going for the sweep on Sunday after winning the first two games of the series 3-1 and 8-4. The under is 39-16-3 in the last 58 meetings between these two clubs and I expect this to be another low-scoring affair. Minnesota righty Michael Pineda (1-0, 2.77 ERA) owns a 2.81 ERA in three career starts against the Indians who's 23-year-old right-hander Triston McKenzie (2-0, 2.57 ERA) will make his first career start against Minnesota. McKenzie has had a very encouraging rookie season with just 11 hits allowed while punching out 26 over his 21 innings of work. Additionally, both bullpens are among the best in baseball with Cleveland's in 4th with a 3.50 ERA and Minnesota's in 7th with a 3.69 ERA. 10* play on UNDER 8. |
09-12-20 | Newcastle United +0.25 v. West Ham United | Top | 2-0 | Win | 104 | 31 h 42 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (SOCCER) - TOP RATED EPL MAJOR WAGER West Ham is coming off a decent preseason, defeating Ipswich, Wycombe and Brentford before losing to Bournemouth last time out. Newcastle opened their preseason with a pair of wins over Crewe and Barnsley but has dropped its last two, to Middlesbrough and Stoke. Still, I like Newcastle to give the Hammers all they can handle here in their Premier League season premiere. While West Ham has had a quiet transfer window, Newcastle has been all the more active, most notably bringing in Callum Wilson, Jamal Lewis, and Ryan Fraser. Wilson has scored 22 EPL goals in his last two seasons with Bournemouth and he has seven career goals against West Ham. Additionally, note that Newcastle went undefeated against the Hammer last season, earning a 3-2 here at the Olympic Stadium and a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture at home. 10* play on Newcastle +0.25. |
09-12-20 | UL-Monroe v. Army -21.5 | Top | 7-37 | Win | 100 | 13 h 5 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEN (NCAAF) - UL-MONROE VS ARMY MAJOR WAGER This will be the UL Monroe Warhawks' season opener while the Army Black Knights have a game under their belt already after routing Middle Tennessee 42-0 last weekend. The Warhawks' defense ranked No. 127 in the nation last season and have had their preparations interrupted by COVID-19 outbreaks within the program, losing precious time to prepare for Army's triple-option offense. Additionally, UL Monroe will be replacing long-time quarterback Caleb Evans with sophomore Colby Suits who will be making his first career start on Saturday, facing a sturdy defense coming off a shut out game ... The Warhawks are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games in September and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog. The Black Knights are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games in September. 10* play on Army Black Knights. |
09-12-20 | Orioles +1.5 v. Yankees | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 11 h 59 m | Show |
SUPER EARLY ORIOLES @ YANKEES MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY The New York Yankees swept a doubleheader against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday. Still, they've won only five of eight meetings on the season and I like the value we get backing Baltimore on the runline on Saturday. The Yankees have lost each of left-hander Jordan Montgomery's last three starts. Montgomery (2-2, 5.72 ERA) allowed nine runs (eight earned) over nine innings in those games, and while not many Baltimore hitters have seen Montgomery before, note that they are hitting a solid .275 off southpaws on the season. The Orioles counter with rookie right-hander Dean Kremer (1-0, 1.50 ERA) who will make his second career start. He held the Yankees to one run with seven Ks through six innings of a 5-1 win on September 6. The Yankees offense is inconsistent with designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton on the 10-day IL with a hamstring injury and right fielder Aaron Judge out with a calf injury. 10* play on Baltimore Orioles. |
09-11-20 | Celtics -125 v. Raptors | Top | 92-87 | Win | 100 | 20 h 51 m | Show |
CELTICS VS RAPTORS GAME 7 MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY The Toronto Raptors stayed alive with a hard-fought win last time out to force a deciding Game 7 of this Eastern Conference semifinal series. Sure, the defending champs have been here before, they know what it's all about and they have a point to prove that they can repeat with Kawhi Leonard, but I like the hungry Celtics to come through in this one. Note that of Toronto's wins, the first came by one point, the second by seven, and the third after double-overtime. Looking at the stats, the Celtics have been the dominant team throughout the series, and of particular interest is the fact that they have held a rebounding edge in every single game, even the losses. In a scrappy Game 7, I'm happy to take the team that dominates the boards. 10* play on Boston Celtics. |
09-11-20 | Tigers v. White Sox -1.5 | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -135 | 14 h 13 m | Show |
FRIDAY NIGHT MLB RUNLINE RIPPER TOP PLAY The Detroit Tigers split a couple of games at St. Louis on Thursday. They're in a tough spot here following a double-header, and they'll face a White Sox side which will send its ace Lucas Giolito to the mound. Giolito (4-2, 3.29 ERA) has not been at his best in his last two outings, but note that the White Sox have won his last four starts and covered the runline each time. He faced the Tigers last month and held to three hits through seven scoreless innings of a 9-0 win. The Tigers counter with rookie right-hander Casey Mize (0-1, 6.75 ERA). This will be his fifth career start overall and second against the White Sox. Back on August 19, Mize was tagged wtih three runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings of a 5-3 loss to the White Sox. This is the third time the White Sox are a home favorite of -200 or more this season. They won the previous two games 10-3 and 4-0. 10* play on Chicago White Sox -1.5. |
09-10-20 | Lakers -5 v. Rockets | Top | 110-100 | Win | 100 | 14 h 15 m | Show |
LAKERS VS ROCKETS THURSDAY NIGHT NBA TOP PLAY The Los Angeles Lakers dropped the series opener against Portland in the first round, but their opponent didn't stand much of a chance from that point on. This Western Conference semifinals series with the Houston Rockets looks to shape up the way with the Lakers pulling away in the fourth quarter of the last two games to take a 2-1 lead in the series. Lebron James, Anthony Davis, and Rajon Rondo combined for 83 of the team's 112 points last the time out, and the Lakeshow has really started to make the most of their size advantage, particularly on defense with few uncontested looks for the Rockets. I think the Lakers will come through with a third straight win and cover here in Game 4. 10* play on Los Angeles Lakers -5. |
09-09-20 | Dodgers -1.5 v. Diamondbacks | Top | 6-4 | Win | 100 | 17 h 52 m | Show |
LATE NIGHT MIDWEEK MASSACRE - MLB TOP PLAY The 31-12 Los Angeles Dodgers have a +99 run differential on the season while the 15-28 Arizona Diamondbacks have a -43 run differential. D'Backs righty Taylor Clarke (1-0, 2.96 ERA) gave up three runs on two hits and one walk in three innings of an 11-2 loss to the Dodgers back in August. Clarke owns a weak 27-15 K/BB ratio on the season while Dodgers' left-hander Clayton Kershaw owns a 41-6 K/BB ratio. Kershaw (5-1, 1.50 ERA) has held the D'Backs to four hits over 11 2/3 scoreless innings across two starts on the season and the D'Backs are batting only .213 against southpaws. The Dodgers have won all but one of Kershaw's seven starts in 2020, and they have covered the runline in all those wins. 10* play on Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5. |
09-09-20 | Raptors v. Celtics UNDER 210 | Top | 125-122 | Loss | -108 | 11 h 55 m | Show |
GAME OF THE YEAR (NBA) - RAPTORS VS CELTICS MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY This might look like a low number at first glance, but note that through the first five games of this series, the most points scored were 107 points. These two division rivals know each other very well, and both have proven themselves more than capable of playing lockdown defense. The over/under is 24-32-2 in the NBA playoffs so far. Celtics won the last game 111-89 and the under is 18-7-1 in Raptors last 26 games following a straight-up loss of more than 10 points and 5-1 in their last 6 games as an underdog. Under is 10-1 in Celtics last 11 overall. 10* play on UNDER 210. |
09-08-20 | Yankees v. Blue Jays -109 | Top | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 14 h 13 m | Show |
YANKEES VS BLUE JAYS BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY The New York Yankees have dropped five on the bounce and seven of their last eight after taking a 12-7 beating here at Sahlen Field on Monday. The Blue Jays are trending in the opposite direction with five wins in their last seven games, and I think they'll have the edge again here Game 2 of the series. Yankees' left-hander J.A. Happ (1-1, 4.68 ERA) was knocked around for four runs on eight hits in five innings at New York Mets last time out. The Jays are likely to give him trouble as well as they're batting .270 against southpaws on the season. Taijuan Walker (3-2, 3.26 ERA) will take the ball for Toronto. Walker has held Boston and Baltimore to a combined two runs over 11 2/3 innings of work since coming over from Seattle. He'll be pleased to know that both Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton once again will be missing from the Bronx Bombers lineup. Yankees are 1-7 in their last 8 games as a road underdog and 1-8 in their last 9 vs. a team with a winning record. Blue Jays are 9-3 in their last 12 games as a favorite and 7-2 in their last 9 vs. a team with a winning record. 10* play on Toronto Blue Jays. |
09-08-20 | Heat -2.5 v. Bucks | Top | 103-94 | Win | 100 | 16 h 22 m | Show |
HEAT VS BUCKS BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY The Milwaukee Bucks fought off elimination with a 118-115 OT win in Game 4. They did so largely without injured star Giannis Antetokounmpo as other players stepped up their game, but I don't see them being able to do it two games in a row. "We're gonna forget about it and move on -- and learn," Heat All-Star Jimmy Butler said after Game 4. "You learn from stuff like this, and how fragile this thing is and how you can't take any of this for granted. How you can't just walk into a game and expect to win." The Heat have proven themselves to be the hotter team here in the bubble and Antetokounmpo (sprained right ankle) is expected to be a game-time call for Tuesday's Game 5. No team in the NBA has never come back from a 3-0 playoff series deficit to win, and with or without Giannis, I think the Bucks will be packing their bags tonight. 10* play on Miami Heat -2.5. |
09-07-20 | Celtics -1 v. Raptors | Top | 111-89 | Win | 100 | 13 h 39 m | Show |
CELTICS VS RAPTORS GAME 5 BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY The Toronto Raptors have clawed themselves back into this series with back-to-back wins to tie it at two apiece. I think it's worth noting though that the Celtics would've had a 3-0 lead after three games if not for a buzzer-beater 3-pointer which might've negatively affected them in Game 4. I like the Celtics to bounce back and retake the lead. The main difference last time out was that the Celtics shot just 20% (7-of-35) from behind the arc while Toronto made 17-of-45 (39%), but I expect the Celtics to shoot the ball better tonight. "We just really missed," Celtics PG Kemba Walker said. "We missed a lot of open ones that we know we can make. Like I said, we gotta make them. We have to make shots. When guys get shots, when guys are open, we gotta knock them shots down." 10* play on Boston Celtics. |
09-07-20 | Yankees v. Blue Jays UNDER 9 | Top | 7-12 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 50 m | Show |
YANKEES VS BLUE JAYS TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The New York Yankees are struggling to put runs on the board without injured Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. Over their last four games, the Bronx Bombers have scored just a total of six runs and here they'll come up against left-hander Hyun Jin Ryu who's having a terrific year. Through his last six starts, Ryu (3-1, 2.51 ERA) has allowed a total of just four earned runs. The Yankees counter with left-hander Jordan Montgomery (2-2, 5.76 ERA) who was lit up for four runs on five hits while recording just two outs before getting chased off the mound last time out. He is however 2-0 with a 2.33 ERA in four career outings (three starts) against Toronto. Under is 9-2-1 in Yankees last 12 games as a road underdog and 5-1 in their last 6 games vs. a left-handed starter. Under is 4-1-1 in Blue Jays last 6 games as a home favorite. 10* play on UNDER 9. |
09-06-20 | Padres -110 v. A's | Top | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 14 h 0 m | Show |
PADRES VS ATHLETICS MLB TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The San Diego Padres had won four of five including a 7-0 win over Oakland on Friday prior to an 8-4 loss to the A's yesterday. Oakland had scored just five runs through a three-game slide prior to that win and I like the Padres to bounce back in the finale of this three-game set on Sunday. Oakland righty Mike Fiers (4-1, 4.86 ERA) has posted a 6.46 ERA in three home starts on the season. The current Padres roster has a .327 batting average over 60 at bats against him. San Diego righty Garrett Richards (1-2, 4.63 ERA) is 1-0 with a 2.82 ERA in four away starts in 2020. Richards has this A's roster limited to a .242 batting average over 58 at bats. 10* play on San Diego Padres. |
09-06-20 | Bucks v. Heat -127 | Top | 118-115 | Loss | -127 | 12 h 14 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NBA) - BUCKS VS HEAT MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY I really thought the Milwaukee Bucks would show their teeth and edge their way back into the series with a win in Game 3. Instead, they once again folded in the fourth quarter, and I just don't see any other outcome than a Miami sweep now. The Milwaukee players and coaches surely must know that history is against them and looked absolutely deflated and helpless after the most recent setback. The Heat on the other hand must feel invincible but also know they have to be cautious to not let anything disturb their momentum.  Heat are 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 20-8 ATS in their last 28 playoff games as a favorite. Bucks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog. 10* play on Miami Heat. |
09-05-20 | White Sox -1.5 v. Royals | Top | 5-3 | Win | 100 | 19 h 58 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (MLB) - TOP RATED MAJOR WAGER The Chicago White Sox are 10-1 SU (9-2 against the runline) as road favorites in 2020. They defeated the Kansas City Royals 7-4 Friday night and I like the White Sox to get another win Saturday. The Royals are losers of five straight and the team has lost each of tonight's starter, left-hander Kris Bubic's (0-4, 5.46 ERA), six starts on the season. He'll face a White Sox side that has the second-best batting average against left-handers this season (.304). The White Sox counter with Lucas Giolito (3-2, 3.14 ERA) who has recorded 34 Ks through 21 innings of work over his last three starts, all Chicago wins. Giolito owns a 6-2 record and 2.75 ERA in 12 career starts against Kansas City. 10* play on Chicago White Sox -1.5. |
09-05-20 | Raptors v. Celtics +1 | Top | 100-93 | Loss | -109 | 19 h 45 m | Show |
RAPTORS VS CELTICS SATURDAY NIGHT NBA TOP PLAY The Toronto Raptors looked dead certain to fall down into a 3-0 hole before OG Anunoby hit a buzzer-beater 3-pointer for a 104-103 victory last time out. Still, one could easily argue that the Raptors didn't deserve to win that game, and I like the Celtics to come back and claim Game 4 of this best-of-seven series. The Celtics have great confidence in themselves and have even claimed we have yet to see them play their best basketball. "We have a really competitive group. We have a really intrinsically motivated group," said Boston coach Brad Stevens. "... We were on the unfortunate end of a tough loss last night. So you lick your wounds, you're feeling whatever emotions you're feeling, and then you move on." 10* play on Boston Celtics +1. |

09-04-20 | Rockies v. Dodgers -1.5 | Top | 6-10 | Win | 100 | 16 h 5 m | Show |
LATE NIGHT RUNLINE RIPPER MLB TOP PLAY The Los Angeles Dodgers have won 16 of their past 17 home games against the Rockies and Colorado right-hander Antonio Senzatela (3-1, 3.22 ERA) was lit up when the team lost 11-3 to LA here at Dodger Stadium last month. Senzatela is 2-3 with a hideous 7.04 ERA in eight career appearances (six starts) against the Dodgers who counter with right-hander Dustin May (1-1, 2.83 ERA) who held Colorado to one run on two hits in five innings on Aug 22. The Dodgers are 8-2 SU (7-3 against the runline) as home favorites of -200 or more when facing a right-handed starter. 10* play on Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5. |
09-04-20 | Bucks -5 v. Heat | Top | 100-115 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 4 m | Show |
BUCKS VS HEAT NBA TOP PLAY OF THE DAY It is pretty much now or never for the Milwaukee Bucks as another loss would put them in a 3-0 hole and just one game away from elimination. I like the Bucks to step up their game to come through to win and cover the spread. They lost the last game by only two points despite shooting a lowly 28% (7 of 25) from beyond the arc while Miami shot 37.8% (17 of 45). Both teams shot around 38% from 3-point range during the regular season and the Bucks should come out laser-focused and determined tonight. 10* play on Milwaukee Bucks. |
09-03-20 | Nuggets v. Clippers OVER 223 | Top | 97-120 | Loss | -107 | 15 h 26 m | Show |
NUGGETS VS CLIPPERS GAME 1 MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY The Denver Nuggets defeated the Utah Jazz 80-78 in Game 7 of their first-round series a couple of days ago. That was one of only two contests to go under the total in that series, and I think we'll see a high-scoring affair when they take on the LA Clippers in the opener of round 2. The Clippers showed they can score in their first-round series with Dallas, averaging 126.6 ppg. Four of six games went over the total, and while they were clutch offensively, the Mavs showed the Clips are vulnerable on the defensive end. The Nuggets have the weapons to hurt them in Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. The last two head-to-head meetings have both seen 230+ points, most recently a 124-111 Clippers win in the Orlando bubble on Aug 12. 10* play on OVER 223. |
09-02-20 | Thunder v. Rockets UNDER 216.5 | Top | 102-104 | Win | 100 | 11 h 21 m | Show |
THUNDER VS ROCKETS WEDNESDAY NIGHT NBA BEST BET The Houston Rockets and the Oklahoma City Thunder have combined for 204 points in each of the last two games of the series. The scoring has gone down significantly, which shouldn't come as a surprise as teams tend to step up defensively deep into close series, and it doesn't get any deeper or closer than this Game 7 of this Western Conference first-round playoff series. I expect another low-scoring affair. Under is 5-2 in Rockets last 7 games as a favorite. Under is 48-21-1 in Thunder last 70 games as an underdog. 10* play on UNDER 216.5. |
09-02-20 | Rangers v. Astros -1.5 | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -111 | 16 h 49 m | Show |
LATE NIGHT MLB RUNLINE RIPPER TOP PLAY I like the Houston Astros to win against the runline as a sizable home favorite over the Texas Rangers on Wednesday. Texas left-hander Kolby Allard (0-3, 6.50 ERA) has lost each of this last three starts with a total of 12 runs allowed over just nine innings of work. He figures to be in for another tough one here as the Astros have a .282 batting average (7th) off southpaws on the season. Cristian Javier (3-1, 3.77 ERA) will take the ball for Houston. The team has won four of his six starts, and three of those four by at least two runs. He's been lights out home at Minute Maid Park, compiling a 2-0 record with a 1.96 ERA over four outings (three starts). Rangers are 3-12 in their last 15 overall and 1-8 in their last 9 games vs. a right-handed starter. Astros are 43-14 in their last 57 games vs. a left-handed starter and 51-17 in their last 68 games as a home favorite. 10* play on Houston Astros -1.5. |
09-02-20 | Avalanche v. Stars OVER 6 | Top | 4-1 | Loss | -114 | 10 h 52 m | Show |
AVS VS STARS GAME 6 MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY Each of the first five games of the series has seen seven goals or more. The average is a bloated 8.6 goals per game, and I just don't see either team slowing down. The Avs fought off elimination with a 6-3 win last time out but will of course be in the same situation again. Virtually all goalies have struggled in this series, and we can note that Avs No. 1 netminder Philipp Grubauer has been missing since sustaining a lower-body injury in Game 1 of the Western Conference Second Round. Colorado will have to rely on its high-octane offense to stay alive, and I expect to see both teams keep scoring fast and easy. 10* play on OVER 6. |
09-01-20 | Islanders -119 v. Flyers | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -119 | 10 h 24 m | Show |
ISLANDERS VS FLYERS NHL MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY The New York Islanders enter this contest with a 3-1 lead in the series. A win here would see them advance to the Eastern Conference finals, and I think they'll get the job done tonight. The Isles have outscored Philadelphia 13-7 through the first four games and their special teams have had an edge with Philadelphia yet to score on the power play. The Isles only setback in the series so far was an OT loss in Game 2, a game they still won the shots 34-31. Additionally, the Islanders have had Philadelphia's number in recent seasons going 7-2-1 in the last 10 head-to-head matchups. Sure, the Flyers will be fired up as they have their backs against the wall, but at this price, I'm well happy to back the better team to close out the series. 10* play on New York Islanders. |
09-01-20 | Nationals v. Phillies -140 | Top | 0-6 | Win | 100 | 11 h 19 m | Show |
TUESDAY MONEYLINE MASSACRE TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Washington Nationals are struggling with losses in six of their last seven games. That includes an 8-6 setback in the opener of this series on Monday, and I think the Nats' hardship will continue tonight. Nats left-hander Patrick Corbin (2-2, 3.82 ERA) has decent season numbers and held Philly to a pair of runs on seven hits in six innings home in Washington last week, but his numbers are worse on the road than at home. Just like tonight, Corbin was opposed by Aaron Nola in that contest. Nola  (3-2, 3.00 ERA) held the Nats to two runs over seven innings of the 3-2 Phillies' win. Nola is 2-1 with a 2.05 ERA in four home starts on the season and Phillies are 6-0 in their last 6 games as a home favorite while Nationals are 1-5 in their last 6 games as a road underdog. 10* play on Philadelphia Phillies. |
09-01-20 | Celtics v. Raptors -111 | Top | 102-99 | Loss | -111 | 10 h 34 m | Show |
CELTICS VS RAPTORS NBA TOP PLAY OF THE DAY We won with the Boston Celtics in the opener of this best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal series, but I'm switching side for Game 2 as the 112-94 Celtics win should have the reigning champions Toronto Raptors all the more fired up for tonight's contest. The Raptors shot just 36.9% from the field and 25.0% from 3-point range in the opener, but as we all know, this team is a lot better than that. These two Atlantic Division rivals know each other inside and out and I would not be surprised to see the teams trade wins and losses throughout the series to culminate in a deciding Game 7.  The Raptors are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games following a straight-up loss and 24-9-1 ATS in their last 34 games following an ATS loss. 10* play on Toronto Raptors. |
08-31-20 | Indians -1.5 v. Royals | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -130 | 12 h 31 m | Show |
MONDAY MLB RUNLINE RIPPER TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Cleveland Indians had won four on the bounce before closing out last week with a 7-2 loss at St. Louis. Bounce back time for the Tribe here against the Kansas City Royals who have dropped three of their last four and six of their last eight. Kansas City right-hander Brad Keller (3-1, 2.08 ERA) had three starts of the scoreless variety before getting lit up for five runs in four innings of a 9-3 loss at St. Louis last time out. Are the wheels about to come off after his sensational start to the year? Either way, outdueling Cleveland right-hander Shane Bieber (6-0, 1.35 ERA) won't be an easy task, and it's worth noting that Bieber has been even more fierce on the road (1.30 ERA) than at home (1.50 ERA). Bieber punched out 14 through six scoreless innings against the Royals July 24, and I think he'll lead the Tribe to a comfortable win tonight. 10* play on Cleveland Indians -1.5. |
08-30-20 | Avalanche v. Stars OVER 5.5 | Top | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 6 h 55 m | Show |
AVS VS STARS NHL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The first three games of the series have seen eight, seven, and 10 goals respectively. The Avs have been scoring boatloads of goals since going into the bubble and the Stars have also played way looser than they did during the regular season. Over is 6-0 in Avalanche last 6 overall. Over is 4-0 in Stars last 4 overall. 10* play on OVER 5.5. |
08-30-20 | Marseille +108 v. Brest | Top | 3-2 | Win | 108 | 15 h 8 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (SOCCER) - LIGUE 1 MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY Brest have opened the season with a 4-0 loss to Nimes. Here they'll face a Marseille team that finished last season 2nd in the league and they boasted an impressive 8-2-4 away record, including going undefeated in their last eight road games. Home advantage means very little now with no spectators in the stands, and I expect the better team in Marseille to come through with a win in their first game of the season. 10* play on Marseille. |
08-30-20 | Celtics +2.5 v. Raptors | Top | 112-94 | Win | 100 | 14 h 10 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NBA) - CELTICS VS RAPTORS MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY The Eastern Conference semifinal series between Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors will finally get underway Sunday after several days' delay. Both teams made light work of their opponent in the first round, but it's tough to draw any conclusions from those contests as both opponents were shorthanded. That being said, I was particularly impressed with how the Celtics took care of a difficult Philly team and they won three of four against the Raptors during the regular season, including a 122-100 victory in the Orlando bubble on Aug. 7. 10* play on Boston Celtics. |
08-29-20 | Giants +128 v. Diamondbacks | Top | 5-2 | Win | 128 | 16 h 15 m | Show |
GIANTS @ DIAMONDBACKS MLB TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Arizona Diamondbacks had lost eight straight games before taking the opener of this three-game series on Friday. I think they'll be back to their losing ways tonight. Arizona right-hander Luke Weaver (1-4, 7.77 ERA) has had a rough start to the season. In his last start, Weaver gave up two runs on five hits in 5 2/3 innings of a 7-1 loss at San Francisco. Just like tonight, he was opposed by Giants right-hander Trevor Cahill (0-0, 1.64 ERA) who held the D'Backs to one run on one hit over 5 1/3 frames on the mound. The Giants rank 11th in the major leagues with 4.95 runs per game and they are batting .250 off right-handers (11th). The D'Backs are averaging 4.58 runs per game (23rd) while batting .248 off right-handers. Both bullpens rank in the bottom third for ERA, but the Giants have a small advantage. 10* play on San Francisco Giants. |
08-29-20 | Lightning v. Bruins +100 | Top | 3-1 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 47 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) - EARLY LIGHTNING VS BRUINS BEST BET The Boston Bruins defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 in the opener of this series, but they've dropped back-to-back games since. Last time out they took a 7-1 beating, but I like the Bruins to bounce back with a win to tie the series again. The teams are a lot more evenly matched than the result in the last contest would suggest, and the Bruins will be the team with a chip on their shoulders and a point to prove. 10* play on Boston Bruins. |
08-26-20 | Islanders -101 v. Flyers | Top | 3-4 | Loss | -101 | 3 h 3 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) - ISLES VS FLYERS MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY The New York Islanders opened this Eastern Conference playoffs series with a 4-0 win. Netminder Semyon Varlamov has been a wall lately and has not allowed a goal over his last 136 minutes in the crease. He is 7-2-1 with a 2.71 GAA in previous meetings with Philly. Philadelphia looked dominant in the round-robin portion of the playoffs but needed six games to get past Montreal in the last round and scored only a total of 11 games in the series. The Islanders on the other hand are clicking and had no trouble lighting up the lamp in their series against Washington or against Philly in Game 1 of this series. I like the Isles to keep dominating on both ends of the end tonight. 10* play on New York Islanders. |
08-26-20 | Pirates v. White Sox -1.5 | Top | 3-10 | Win | 100 | 10 h 18 m | Show |
EARLY PIRATES @ WHITE SOX MLB TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Chicago White Sox came through for us as a runline favorite on Tuesday as they opened this three-game series with a 4-0 win. They have now won eight of their last nine and covered the runline each of those wins, and I like the White Sox to do it again today with Dallas left-hander Keuchel on the mound. Keuchel (4-2, 2.65 ERA) is coming off eight innings of one-run ball at Wrigley Field in a game where the White Sox routed the Cubs 10-1. Only a handful of players on the current Pirates roster have any experience against Keuchel who has been excellent at Guaranteed Rate Field this season, giving up only five runs in three home starts. Trevor Williams (1-4, 3.70 ERA) takes the ball for Pittsburgh. The team has lost four of his five starts on the season and failed to cover the runline in each loss. To be fair, Williams has not been all that bad, but the Pirates' bullpen is unreliable at best and has posted a 5.25 ERA on the season. Jose Abreu is 3-for-5 off and Tim Anderson is 2-for-5 with a home run off Williams who has posted a 5.40 ERA in three road starts on the season. Pittsburgh ranks near the bottom of the league for runs scored while the White Sox have a top 10 offense. Let's roll with the white hot White Sox for a second straight day. 10* play on Chicago White Sox -1.5. |
08-26-20 | Zenit Petersburg -139 v. Dinamo Moscow | Top | 0-1 | Loss | -139 | 5 h 50 m | Show |
TOP RATED SOCCER PLAY OF THE DAY Zenit St. Petersburg have opened the season with four straight wins and an impressive 10-2 goal differential. Dinamo Moscow have opened the season with two wins, a draw and loss and a meager 4-2 goal differential. Last time out, Dinamo took a loss to Arsenal Tula who were without a win up until that point. Additionally, they were shut out in a 0-0 draw at home against bottom-feeder Rotor Volgograd on Aug 15 (Volgograd's only point on the season), while Zenit defeated that same Volgograd team 2-0 on the road in their season opener. Last but not least, Zenit have won each of the last three head-to-head meetings (7-0 goal differential). 10* play on Zenit St. Petersburg. |
08-25-20 | Jazz v. Nuggets OVER 220.5 | Top | 107-117 | Win | 100 | 18 h 9 m | Show |
JAZZ VS NUGGETS NBA TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The first four games of this series have seen the totals closing in the range of 214-216 points with all but one of those games going over the number. The bookmakers have made a fairly big adjustment for Game 5 Tuesday night, but I still think we'll see another shootout in this one. The Nuggets are in desperation mode heading into the contest 3-1 down in the series. They've struggled defensively and know they need to put up plenty of points to have a chance of winning. Denver has not had an answer on how to stop Utah guard Donovan Mitchell who has had two 50-point games in the series, but the good news is that the Nuggets own PG Jamal Murray came out in Sunday's 129-127 loss, finishing with 50 points. Over is 8-2 in Jazz last 10 overall. Over is 4-1 in Jazz last 5 games as a favorite. Over is 8-1 in Nuggets last 9 games as an underdog. 10* play on OVER 220.5. |
08-24-20 | Twins v. Indians UNDER 8.5 | Top | 3-2 | Win | 110 | 17 h 40 m | Show |
MONDAY NIGHT MLB TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY The Cleveland Indians are averaging 4.03 runs per game and they are hitting .215 off right-handers. Minnesota right-hander Kenta Maeda (3-0, 2.27 ERA) fanned 12 through eight innings of one-run ball against Milwaukee last time out, and he limited Minnesota to one hit over six scoreless frames in a 3-0 win on August 1. Aaron Civale (3-2, 2.91 ERA) will toe the slab for the Tribe. Civale held Pittsburgh to one run on five hits in a complete game last time out. He owns a 2.65 ERA in three career starts against Minnesota. Under is 18-9-1 in Minnesota games on the season and 19-7-1 in games involving Cleveland. 8* play on UNDER. |
08-24-20 | Marlins v. Nationals -115 | Top | 11-8 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 60 m | Show |
MARLINS VS NATIONALS MLB MONEYLINE MASSACRE The Washington Nationals and the Miami Marlins will close out a five-game series Monday night. The Nats put a 9-3 beating on Miami on Sunday and I think they'll come through with another win here. This is mostly a fade of Marlins' starter Pablo Lopez (2-1, 2.42 ERA) who is 0-2 with an 8.87 ERA in five career starts against the Nationals. Juan Soto is 5-for-11 with a pair of home runs off Lopez. Washington starter has faced the Fish once (last year), in a contest where he allowed just three hits and one run in five innings. Nationals are 14-4 in their last 18 home games vs. a team with a winning record. 10* play on Washington Nationals. |
08-23-20 | Canucks v. Golden Knights OVER 5.5 | Top | 0-5 | Loss | -115 | 11 h 14 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) - CANUCKS VS KNIGHTS MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY The Vancouver Canucks have scored a combined 10 goals through the last two games to clinch their best-of-seven first round series against the Blues. I like the fifth-seeded Nucks' offense to keep them in the opener of this series with the No. 1 ranked Vegas Golden Knights. Both teams are offensively-minded and Vegas is shooting the puck more than any team in the NHL (34.5 shots per game). They'll also come in well-rested and we can note that the over is 6-0 in Golden Knights last 6 games playing on three or more days rest. 10* play on OVER. |
08-23-20 | Raptors v. Nets UNDER 217.5 | Top | 150-122 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 53 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NBA) - RAPTORS VS NETS MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY The Raptors have played lockdown defense since allowing the Nets to shoot 47 percent from the field in a 134-110 Toronto win in Game 1 of this best-of-seven first-round playoff series. The last two games have seen 203 and 209 points respectively, and I expect another relatively low-scoring affair here in Game 4. The Raptors need only one more win to clinch the series, so why not come up with a massive effort today to maximize the rest until the next round? The Nets entered the Orlando bubble banged up, and it's not surprising to see them running out of steam, especially against the Raptors high-intensity defense. Under is 9-3 in Raptors last 12 overall. Under is 9-2 in Raptors last 11 Conference Quarterfinals games. Under is 4-1 in Nets last 5 Conference Quarterfinals games. 10* play on UNDER 217.5. |
08-23-20 | Tigers v. Indians -1.5 | Top | 7-4 | Loss | -130 | 6 h 58 m | Show |
SUPER EARLY MLB TOP PLAY OF THE DAY - RUNLINE RIPPER The Cleveland Indians have won 21 of the last 22 meetings with the Detroit Tigers. They've covered the runline in their two triumphs in this series and I expect another blowout win for the Tribe in the series finale on Sunday. Tigers' southpaw Tarik Skubal (0-1, 18.00 ERA) made his major leagues debut earlier this week, as he gave up four runs on seven hits in only two innings of a 10-4 loss to the Chicago White Sox. Cleveland right-hander Carlos Carrasco (2-2, 3.71 ERA) has struggled with his command in recent outings, but he owns solid career numbers against Detroit (11-8, 3.56 ERA, 29 appearances). 10* play on Cleveland Indians -1.5. |
08-22-20 | Red Sox v. Orioles +114 | Top | 4-5 | Win | 114 | 18 h 29 m | Show |
RED SOX VS ORIOLES SATURDAY NIGHT MLB TOP PLAY The Boston Red Sox are coming off three straight wins, but they have still cost backers more money than pretty much any other team in baseball this season. The Baltimore Orioles on the other hand have had a much better start to the season than anyone could've expected, and I like the price we get on the Orioles to end an ugly six-game skid with a win tonight. Right-hander Alex Cobb (1-2, 3.76 ERA) will toe the slab for Baltimore. He had four solid starts under his belt before getting knocked around by Toronto last time out. In his season debut, Cobb limited Boston to one run through 5 1/3 innings of a 7-2 win. Left-hander Martin Perez (2-3, 4.07 ERA) will take the ball for the Red Sox. Perez was tagged with three runs on two hits and three walks in three innings of a 6-3 loss to the Yankees last time out. In his season debut, Perez surrendered five runs (four earned) in five innings against Baltimore. Perez has an ugly 17-14 K/BB ratio over 24 1/3 innings on the season. The Orioles own a solid .278 (6th) batting average against southpaws and I think they'll get to Perez early. That would be bad news for Boston as its bullpen ranks as one of the worst in baseball. 10* play on Baltimore Orioles. |
08-22-20 | Rockets -3 v. Thunder | Top | 107-119 | Loss | -107 | 17 h 51 m | Show |
ROCKETS VS THUNDER NBA TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Oklahoma City Thunder enter Game 3 of this Western Conference quarter-finals series in an 0-2 hole. They've tried different approaches to counter Houston's small-ball without much success, and I expect to see another Rockets win tonight. While OKC has a significant edge when it comes to size, it just can't keep up defensively which spells big trouble as the Rockets have plenty of talented shooters looking to pounce on every open look they get. James Harden finished the last game with 21 points and nine assists, and Houston is even more dangerous than usual when "the Beard" shares the ball with his teammates. Admittedly it is tough to win three in a row in any playoffs series, but the Rockets have not given us any reason to doubt them (they're even playing defense!) and I'll back them again. 10* play on Houston Rockets. |
08-21-20 | Clippers -4.5 v. Mavs | Top | 130-122 | Win | 100 | 21 h 25 m | Show |
CLIPPERS VS MAVS NBA TOP PLAY OF THE DAY This best-of-seven NBA playoffs series is tied at 1-1 following a strong 127-114 win for the No.7 Dallas Mavericks in the last game. I like the second-seeded LA Clippers to bounce back with a big outing tonight. The Clippers have had the Mavs number most of the season winning four of five meetings. They didn't take care of the ball last time out, but I don't see this normally so solid Clippers side commit that many turnovers two games in a row. Clippers are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a straight up loss of more than 10 points and 35-16 ATS in their last 51 games following a straight up loss. Mavericks are 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 games following a straight up win of more than 10 points. 10* play on Los Angeles Clippers. |
08-21-20 | Phillies v. Braves UNDER 8 | Top | 2-11 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 20 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (MLB) - TOP RATED MAJOR WAGER TOTAL The Phillies Aaron Nola (2-1, 2.05 ERA) fanned eight through seven shutout innings of three-hit ball against the Mets last time out. He has allowed just a pair of runs through his last three starts and he has 37 Ks through 26 1/3 innings of work on the season. Nola owns a .82 ERA in 19 career starts against the Braves who counter with Max Fried (3-0, 1.24 ERA). The 26-year-old southpaw has allowed only four runs through 29 frames in 2020 and both of his last two starts have been of the scoreless variety. 10* play on UNDER 8. |
08-20-20 | Indians v. Pirates UNDER 8 | Top | 2-0 | Win | 100 | 11 h 42 m | Show |
THURSDAY NIGHT MLB TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Cleveland Indians have been money for under backers all season as they're 17-6-1 to the under in 2020. Shane Bieber (4-0, 1.30 ERA) has been one of the best pitchers in baseball and he's knocking out hitters left and right with 40 Ks through 28 2/3 innings of work. He figures to have another good game here against a Pittsburgh team that ranks dead last in the MLB with only 3.91 runs/9 innings. Cleveland is only marginally better with its 4.00 runs/9 innings, and Pittsburgh righty Trevor Williams (1-3, 3.98 ERA) is a decent enough pitcher for me to comfortably back the under in this contest. 10* play on UNDER. |
08-20-20 | Thunder v. Rockets -2.5 | Top | 98-111 | Win | 100 | 7 h 18 m | Show |
THUNDER VS ROCKETS NBA TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Houston Rockets closed out the regular season with three consecutive losses, but they switched back on when it really mattered to defeat the OKC Thunder 123-108 in Game 1 of this Western Conference first-round playoff series. I like Houston to come through with another dominant performance to win Game 2 as well. The Thunder couldn't figure out a way to stop the Rockets' small and quick lineup in the first meeting of the series, and I don't see them having more success in this one. Russell Westbrook is out with a strained right quadriceps, but the Rockets have plenty of shooters to pick up the slack. Rockets are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games following a straight-up win of more than 10 points and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 Conference Quarterfinals games. 10* play on Houston Rockets. |
08-19-20 | 76ers v. Celtics -4.5 | Top | 101-128 | Win | 100 | 14 h 46 m | Show |
76ERS VS CELTICS NBA TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Boston Celtics won the opener of this Eastern Conference best-of-seven playoffs series 109-101 on Monday without even playing all that great. The Sixers bench outscored Boston's, but they lack outside threat without superstar Ben Simmons and the Celtics did a decent job containing Joel Embiid in the paint. While Boston can focus on shutting down Embiid, the Sixers have no such luxury as the C's have plenty of playmakers. Tonight Boston will have to without Gordon Hayward (sprained ankle), and while he is at risk of missing the rest of the series I expect Boston's bench to up its game and pick up the slack. Philly has now lost four of its last five games, and while only the most recent one really mattered it's certainly not a positive trend. The Celtics on the other hand are 5-1 in their last six and I'm happy to keep riding the hotter Celtics to win and cover tonight. 10* play on Boston Celtics. |
08-19-20 | Blue Jackets v. Lightning UNDER 5 | Top | 4-5 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 35 m | Show |
SUPER EARLY BLUE JACKETS VS LIGHTNING BEST BET The first four games of this series have seen an average of 4.25 goals per game with no more than five goals in any single game. I expect another low-scoring affair here as the Columbus Blue Jackets need to make something happen, entering this game 3-1 down in the series. That might be easier said than done though; while Columbus owns the fourth-best scoring defense in the NHL, its offense is one of the worst at only 2.6 goals scored per game. Tampa owns the No. 1 offense with an average of 3.5 gpg, but I don't see the Lightning taking many chances in this one. 10* play on UNDER 5. |
08-18-20 | Blazers v. Lakers -5.5 | Top | 100-93 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 55 m | Show |
BLAZERS VS LAKERS TUESDAY NIGHT NBA TOP PLAY The eighth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers might give the No. 1 seed LA Lakers some trouble in this opening-round Western Conference series, but I do like the Lakers to show their class in Game 1. The whole Lakers team, and their key players, in particular, will be well-rested while the Blazers haven't had the luxury to afford to rest anyone during their red hot eight-game bubble run to the playoffs. One must wonder how much gas is left in the tank for Damian Lillard who has been outstanding in Florida. Additionally, while this will be the Lakers' first playoff appearance in seven years, the current roster has plenty of postseason experience.  10* play on Los Angeles Lakers. |
08-18-20 | Capitals v. Islanders -110 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 37 m | Show |
CAPITALS VS ISLANDERS MONEYLINE MASSACRE TOP PLAY I backed the Washington Capitals and lost in Game 3 of this series. Now I'm shamelessly switching sides to back the NY Islanders to complete the sweep and move on to the Eastern Conference semifinals. While I thought that Caps would show some grit and pride, it has just not happened. They've been outshot and outplayed in just about every game and are 0-3 down despite the Isles going only 1/14 on the power play. The Caps meanwhile have scored only two even-strength goals in the series, and I don't see any other outcome than another Islanders win. 10* play on New York Islanders. |
08-18-20 | Mariners v. Dodgers OVER 9.5 | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -100 | 13 h 16 m | Show |
MAJOR WAGER ALERT - TUESDAY MLB TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Seattle Mariners 11-9 on Monday. I think runs will come fast and easy for both teams again here in Game 2 of the series. Mariners' left-hander Marco Gonzales (2-2, 3.97 ERA) gave up four runs on seven hits in five innings at Texas last time out. I don't like his chances of slowing down a Dodgers team that has averaged 8.2 runs per game through a six-game winning streak. The Mariners have struggled to score runs this season but yesterday's outing was promising. Here they get a look at Tony Gonsolin (0-0, 0.00 ERA) who has yet to allow a run this season, but that's over a small sample of 8 2/3 frames. Over is 9-2-1 in Mariners last 12 road games vs. a right-handed starter. Over is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings. 10* play on OVER 9.5. |
08-17-20 | Nets v. Raptors UNDER 222 | Top | 110-134 | Loss | -110 | 15 h 33 m | Show |
NETS VS RAPTORS NBA TOTAL PLAY OF THE DAY We have seen plenty of high-scoring games in the Orlando bubble, but the Toronto Raptors' games have consistently been an exception to the rule. The Raptors had played seven straight unders prior to a 125-121 win over Philadelphia in their last regular-season game, and I expect the final score of this contest to stay under the posted total. The Raptors own the No. 1 scoring defense in the NBA allowing only 106.5 ppg, and scoring won't come easy for a Brooklyn team without several of its key pieces. 10* play on UNDER 222. |
08-16-20 | Brewers v. Cubs -124 | Top | 6-5 | Loss | -124 | 11 h 51 m | Show |
BREWERS VS CUBS BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY The Milwaukee Brewers have won two on the bounce after dropping the opener of this four-game series with the Chicago Cubs. I do however like the Cubs to come back and tie the series with a win Sunday afternoon. The Cubs hand the ball to veteran left-hander Jon Lester (2-0, 1.06 ERA) who is off to a splendid start to the season, and he owns a 2.97 ERA in 11 career stars Milwaukee. The Brewers turn to right-hander Josh Lindblom (1-0, 5.68 ERA) who surrendered four runs on seven hits in four innings against the Minnesota Twins last time out. This will be his first career start against the Cubs, and his two bullpen appearances against them are not of much relevance. The Cubs are 10-2 as a favorite this season and 3-1 off a loss. Milwaukee on the other hand is just 2-6 off a win. 10* play on Chicago Cubs. |
08-16-20 | Indians v. Tigers UNDER 9.5 | Top | 8-5 | Loss | -112 | 4 h 34 m | Show |
MLB 3-PACK - TOTAL TOP PLAY OF THE DAY The Cleveland Indians are 16-5 to the under on the season. I predict that Sunday's matchup with the Detroit Tigers will be another relatively low-scoring affair. Cleveland right-hander Adam Plutko (1-1, 2.45 ERA) is off to a hot start to the year and Michael Fulmer showed some promise last time out when he tossed three scoreless innings against the White Sox. Fulmer owns a 6.62 ERA in eight career starts against the Indians, but we shouldn't see all that much of his as he's on a pitch count while recovering from Tommy John surgery. Detroit's bullpen is top 10 in baseball with a 3.51 ERA, and Cleveland's is top five with a 2.88 ERA. 10* play on UNDER 9.5. |
08-16-20 | Capitals -105 v. Islanders | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -105 | 2 h 56 m | Show |
SUPER EARLY CAPS VS ISLANDERS NHL BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY The Washington Capitals just might be the most motivated and desperate team on Sunday's slate of games from the NHL playoffs. They're 2-0 down in the series despite scoring the opening goal in each of the first two games, but the Caps should have enough experience on their roster to let if affect their morale in a negative way. The Islanders on the other hand are in a potential flat spot as they must feel pretty good about themselves and maybe just a bit too comfortable. Look for Washington to respond and edge its way back into the series with a win early Sunday afternoon. 10* play on Washington Capitals. |
08-15-20 | Mariners v. Astros -1.5 | Top | 1-2 | Loss | -109 | 19 h 19 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (MLB) - TOP RATED MAJOR WAGER ALERT The Houston Astros have come alive with wins in three of their last four games. They've scored boatloads of runs during that stretch, and here they get a chance to tee off versus Nick Margevicius (0-0, 3.24 ERA), who has done the majority of his appearances this season as a reliever. Cristian Javier (1-1, 4.02 ERA) will take the ball for Houston. He was roughed up by Oakland last time out, but had back-to-back solid starts under his belt prior to that. Javier's 16-4 K/BB ratio over 15 2/3 innings is impressive, and I think he'll do enough versus this inconsistent Seattle side. 10* play on Houston Astros -1.5. |
08-15-20 | Avalanche v. Coyotes UNDER 5.5 | Top | 2-4 | Loss | -130 | 15 h 48 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) - TOP RATED MAJOR WAGER TOTAL The first two games of this series have stayed under the posted total, and I see no reason why that shouldn't be the case again here in Game 3. Playing on back-to-back days could help slow down the tempo even further Under is 4-0 in Avalanche last 4 games playing on 0 days rest and 16-5 in their last 21 games as a favorite. Under is 5-0 in Coyotes last 5 games playing on 0 days rest. 10* play on UNDER 5.5. |
08-15-20 | Grizzlies v. Blazers -5.5 | Top | 122-126 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 23 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NBA) - TOP RATED MAJOR WAGER The Memphis Grizzlies are just 2-6 in Orlando and only barely made the play-in tournament with a 119-106 win over Milwaukee in the last regular-season game. They'll face a red hot Portland side that has won six of eight, and while Memphis defeated Portland in the first round of games in the bubble back on July 31, I don't think it'll stand much of a chance here. The Blazers are firing on all cylinders, and the Grizzlies do not have any player that can match the output of Damian Lillard who has been absolutely outstanding in recent games.  Trail Blazers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games as a favorite. Grizzlies are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog.  10* play on Portland Trail Blazers -5.5. |
08-13-20 | Orioles v. Phillies OVER 9.5 | Top | 11-4 | Win | 100 | 17 h 29 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (MLB) - TOP RATED MAJOR WAGER TOTAL The Baltimore Orioles and the Philadelphia Phillies failed came one run short of pushing the score over the posted total yesterday, but I think they'll get the job done in Thursday's finale of this three-game set. Baltimore righty Tom Eshelman (0-0, 3.68 ERA) was not at his very best when he allowed two runs on five hits with two Ks in four innings against the Nats last time out. He has pitched only 7 1/3 through his two starts on the season, and when Eshelman is done he'll hand over the ball to a bullpen that ranks 19th in the league with a 4.41 ERA. Still, Baltimore's relievers have been sharper than the Phillies who wank dead last across the major leagues with a 10.19 ERA! Philadelphia starter Jake Arrieta (1-1, 2.45 ERA) has had a solid start to the year, but the Orioles have shown they can get to just about any pitcher this year. Last but not least, note Baltimore's .307 batting average and .386 on-base percentage in day games this season, both the best marks in baseball.  10* play on OVER. |
08-13-20 | Mavs v. Suns -7 | Top | 102-128 | Win | 100 | 6 h 9 m | Show |
THURSDAY AFTERNOON NBA BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY TESTS 7-3 RUN The red hot Phoenix Suns have won seven straight games in the Orlando bubble. They need an eighth straight and a loss for either Portland and Memphis to earn a spot in the play-in game. Memphis plays before Phoenix while Portland plays the last game, so even if Memphis wins its game, Phoenix will still have every reason in the world to win this one and hope that the Blazers lose later. The Mavs on the other hand are locked into the seventh seed in the Western Conference playoffs and I would not be surprised if they give their key pieces the night off here to stay healthy and fresh for the postseason. 10* play on Phoenix Suns. |
08-12-20 | Coyotes v. Avalanche UNDER 5.5 | Top | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 13 h 16 m | Show |
YOTES VS AVS WEDNESDAY NIGHT NHL TOTAL TOP PLAY The Colorado Avalanche played two low-scoring games against Dallas and St. Louis before taking a 4-3 OT loss to Vegas in their last game in the round-robin tournament. While they are one of the highest-scoring teams in the league I think this will play out like the first two games. The Arizona Coyotes are certainly a defense-first kind of team, and both sides will be wary of giving up the first goal. The Coyotes own the 3rd best scoring defense in the NHL with only 2.6 goals allowed per game while Colorado ranks 6th with 2.7 gpg allowed. 10* play on UNDER. |
08-12-20 | A's +106 v. Angels | Top | 8-4 | Win | 106 | 17 h 48 m | Show |
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON MLB BOOKIE BLA$TER TOP PLAY *Pick and write up made prior to the ending of Tuesday's matchup I like the value we get on the Oakland Athletics with Chris Bassitt (1-0, 1.08 ERA) on the mound. The 31-year-old right-hander has allowed no more than one run in his previous three starts on the season with Oakland winning each game. That includes four shutout innings in a 3-0 win against the Halos in his season debut. The Angels hand the ball to Griffin Canning (0-2, 3.14 ERA) who took the loss in that contest after giving up three runs on four hits through 4 2/3 frames. With 10 walks allowed through 14 innings on the season, it would be an understatement to say that Canning has struggled with his command. Last time out, he gave up four runs on three hits and six walks in 3 2/3 innings against Texas. 10* play on Oakland Athletics. |
08-11-20 | Braves +1.5 v. Yankees | Top | 6-9 | Loss | -130 | 11 h 43 m | Show |
TUESDAY NIGHT MLB RUNLINE RIPPER TOP PLAY I think we are getting terrific value on the Atlanta Braves (11-7) on the runline as an underdog when they visit the New York Yankees (10-6) Tuesday night. The Bronx Bombers are not playing good baseball at the moment, coming off back-to-back losses and dropping four of their last five. Tonight they'll hand the ball to left-hander Jordan Montgomery (1-1, 5.59 ERA) who gave up five runs in four innings of a 5-4 loss to the Phillies last time out. Atlanta starter Touki Toussaint (0-0, 6.08 ERA) is coming off a couple of solid outings since getting lit up in his season debut. Last time out he struck out nine through 6 2/3 innings of three-run ball against Toronto. The Braves are 11-5 in their last 16 games vs. a left-handed starter and I think they'll get to Montgomery. 8* play on Atlanta Braves. |
08-11-20 | Blazers -2.5 v. Mavs | Top | 134-131 | Win | 100 | 9 h 9 m | Show |
BLAZERS VS MAVS NBA BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY The Portland Trail Blazers will be playing their third game in four nights. As they're battling for one of the two play-in game spots they have no other option than to go all-in every night though, and I think they'll have enough gas left in the tank to beat Dallas. The Mavs are coming off a 136-132 OT win over Milwaukee, but they have dropped three of five in the Orlando bubble and while Dallas has a chance of the No. 5 seed in the West, in reality, it wouldn't change much. At this point in the season motivation means almost everything, and that gives Portland the edge in this contest. 10* play on Portland Trail Blazers. |
08-10-20 | Diamondbacks v. Rockies -130 | Top | 12-8 | Loss | -130 | 16 h 38 m | Show |
MONDAY NIGHT BALLPARK BLOWOUT TOP PLAY The Colorado Rockies fell to 11-4 on the season after taking 5-3 loss to the Mariners on Sunday. They have bounced back to win the next game after the previous setbacks and I like them to do it again here against an Arizona team that is just 6-10 on the season. D'Backs lefty Robbie Ray (1-2, 9.45 ERA) has had an abysmal start to the season. Last time out he gave up six runs in just five innings. He served up three home runs in that contest has allowed six homers on the season. Last year, he posted a 4.38 ERA in three starts covering 12 1/3 frames here at Coors Field. C Colorado counters with Jon Gray (0-1, 3.31 ERA) who's had a decent start to the year despite getting roughed up by the Giants in his most recent start. Last season, Gray was 6-2 with a 3.46 ERA here at Coors Field and he posted a 3.31 ERA in three starts against Arizona. The Rockies are 7-0 in their last 7 games vs. a left-handed starter and the Diamondbacks are 2-10 in their last 12 games as a road underdog. 10* play on Colorado Rockies. |
08-10-20 | Thunder v. Suns -5 | Top | 101-128 | Win | 100 | 13 h 7 m | Show |
MONDAY AFTERNOON NBA BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY The Phoenix Suns are the only undefeated team in the NBA bubble with five straight wins. They almost certainly have to win their remaining three contests to have any shot of making a play-in game, and I think they'll keep rolling here when taking on Oklahoma City Monday night. The Thunder are in a dogfight with Houston and Utah for the 4-6 seeds in the West, but note that they have traded wins and losses through their five games in the bubble. With OKC coming off a 121-103 win over Washington on Sunday, I think they'll come out flat here playing on no rest. 10* play on Phoenix Suns. |
08-09-20 | Rockets -5 v. Kings | Top | 129-112 | Win | 100 | 13 h 7 m | Show |
ROCKETS VS KINGS SUNDAY NIGHT NBA TOP PLAY The Sacramento Kings have dropped four of five games in the bubble and their chances of making the playoffs are now slim to none. They've been atrocious on the defensive end which will spell trouble against a Houston team that ranks second in the league for points per game. The Rockets are 3-1 in the bubble and still have plenty of motivation to keep racking up wins as they are jostling for the 3-6 seeds in the West. Russell Westbrook and Eric Gordon have been ruled out, but Harden shouldn't need much help to put the Kings away. 10* play on Houston Rockets. |
08-09-20 | Indians v. White Sox UNDER 7.5 | Top | 5-4 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 8 m | Show |
INDIANS VS WHITE SOX - NIGHT NIGHT BASEBALL BEST BET The Cleveland Indians are 14-2 to the under on the season and I think runs will come a premium for both sides once again in this matchup with the Chicago White Sox. White Sox righty Lucas Giolito (1-1, 5.17 ERA) has recovered nicely since getting knocked around in his season debut. In his two most recent starts, Giolito has allowed only two runs on eight hits with 15 Ks through 12 innings of work. Cleveland counters with Shane Bieber (3-0, 0.83 ERA) who has been one of the hottest pitchers in baseball.  10* play on UNDER. |
08-08-20 | Orioles v. Nationals -1.5 | Top | 5-3 | Loss | -100 | 17 h 57 m | Show |
SATURDAY NIGHT BALLPARK BLOWOUT TOP PLAY The Washington Nationals musted only four hits when they took an 11-0 beating by the hands of the Baltimore Orioles on Friday. The defending World Series champions have had a disappointing start to the year, but I think they'll bounce back with a big win in Saturday's matchup with the O's. Tom Eshelman (0-0, 2.70 ERA) will take the ball for Baltimore. This will be his first start after tossing 3 1/3 innings out of the bullpen in a 4-0 loss to Miami on August 5. Last season, Eshelman posted a 6.50 ERA through 10 appearances (four starts) covering 36 innings of work. The Nats counter with Austin Voth (0-1, 3.60 ERA) for his second start of the season after giving up three runs (two earned) in five innings against Toronto in his season debut. Last season, Voth posted a solid 3.30 RA through nine outings (eight starts) with 44 Ks through 43 2/3 frames. That includes six innings of one-run ball in an 8-1 Nationals victory over Baltimore. While Voth is far from an ace, this is just a good spot to back the Nats to bring their bats to get the job done following Friday's beatdown. 10* play on Washington Nationals. |
08-08-20 | Golden Knights v. Avalanche -107 | Top | 4-3 | Loss | -107 | 14 h 0 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (NHL) - MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY ALERT The Vegas Golden Knights and the Colorado Avalanche are both heading into the weekend perfect 2-0-0 in the Edmonton bubble. They will consequently square off for the top seed in the Conference on Saturday, and I like the Avs to be the team to come through. While Vegas can match up with Colorado on the offensive end, the Avs have a pretty significant edge defensively. Note that the Knights have allowed a total of seven goals in their games against St. Louis and Dallas and netminder Marc-Andre Fleury went 0-2 with a 7.13 GAA against Colorado during the regular season. Colorado has allowed only one goal in the bubble and shut out the Stars last time out. Last but not least, this will be the third meeting of the season, with Colorado winning the first two 6-1 and 7-3. 10* play on Colorado Avalanche. |
08-08-20 | Clippers v. Blazers +4.5 | Top | 122-117 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 18 m | Show |
SUPER EARLY CLIPPERS VS BLAZERS BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY The Portland Trail Blazers have been playing well in the bubble, winning three of four outright while compiling a 3-0-1 ATS record. The Blazers are still on the outside looking in on postseason play in 2020 and must keep pushing the pedal to the metal as long as they can. As for the LA Clippers, they have alternated wins and losses through their first four games in Orlando. With a playoff spot already locked up, this is not surprising considering the Clippers situation. They don't want to push their key pieces too much, risking fatigue/injuries but also want to see enough effort to keep the momentum for the playoffs. Last time out they put a 126-11 beating on Dallas. The Clippers are 2-7 ATS in their last nine games following a straight-up win of more than 10 points and I would not be surprised if they came out a bit flat in this one. 10* play on Portland +4.5. |
08-07-20 | Thunder -3.5 v. Grizzlies | Top | 92-121 | Loss | -110 | 16 h 54 m | Show |
GAME OF THE MONTH (NBA) - TOP RATED MAJOR WAGER ATS The Memphis Grizzlies are slumping at the worst possible time and have yet to win a game in the NBA bubble. With four games to play, they are now only ½ game ahead of Portland for the No. 8 seed in the West and will face three title contenders from the East on deck following this contest. The demoralized Grizzlies can't like their chances of making the postseason, and I think their slump will continue here against a hot Oklahoma City Thunder team beat the LA Lakers last time out. While OKC is already guaranteed to make the playoffs, it is still battling Utah and Houston for the 4th seed in the West. They have won two of three in Orlando (could easily be 3-0) and I'm more than happy to take the better team with positive momentum to cover the small spread as a favorite. Thunder are 13-4 ATS in their last 17 games following a straight up win of more than 10 points. Grizzlies are 0-4 ATS in their four games in the bubble. 10* play on Oklahoma City Thunder. |
08-06-20 | Golden Knights -110 v. Blues | Top | 6-4 | Win | 100 | 19 h 1 m | Show |
NHL MAJOR WAGER ALERT - KNIGHTS VS BLUES BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY The Vegas Golden Knights are 16-5-1 under head coach Peter DeBoer, including a white hot 12-2-0 over their last 14. They opened the Western Conference Round-Robin with a come-from-behind 5-3 win over Dallas and a win here would see them tied for points with the Colorado Avalanche at the top of the standings. The Blues on the other hand took a demoralizing last-second loss to the Avs in their Round-Robin opener, and I think they'll struggle to bring the intensity needed to compete with the Knights. 10* play on Vegas Golden Knights. |
08-06-20 | Twins -1.5 v. Pirates | Top | 5-6 | Loss | -118 | 12 h 37 m | Show |
SUPER EARLY TWINS @ PIRATES BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY The Pittsburgh Pirates are going nowhere slow as they enter the finale of this three-game series with a 2-10 record. I think they'll continue to mail it in here against a white hot Minnesota Twins team that has compiled the exact opposite record of 10-2. Twins' righty Kenta Maeda (2-0, 1.64 ERA) has had a terrific start with the Twins, recording 12 strikeouts with just five hits and two runs allowed over 11 innings of work. The Pirates counter with JT Brubaker (0-0, 0.00 ERA) for his first start of the season, in place of Mitch Keller who is on the injured list. It's tough to know where we have Brubaker as a starter. He has tossed five scoreless innings as a reliever on the season, but I don't see him slowing down the Twins' hot bats. Pittsburgh has scored more than three runs only once during its current seven-game skid, and I expect the Twins to win this one comfortably. 10* play on Minnesota Twins -1.5. |
08-05-20 | Cubs -1.5 v. Royals | Top | 6-1 | Win | 100 | 16 h 54 m | Show |
WEDNESDAY NIGHT MLB BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY The Chicago Cubs are winners of five on the bounce and eight of their last nine. They have covered the runline in the majority of those triumphs, and I like them to put a big beating on the Kansas City Royals tonight. Royals' right-hander Kris Bubic (0-1, 4.50 ERA) has just major league start under his belt when he gave up three runs (two earned) in four innings of a loss to the White Sox on August 1. He'll be opposed by Cubs' lefty Yu Darvish (1-1, 2.70 ERA) who knocked out seven through six scoreless innings of two-hit ball against Pittsburgh last time out. In five career starts against the Royals, Darvish is 2-1 with a 2.34 ERA. The Cubs are top 10 in the major leagues with their 5.20 runs per game while Royals are in the bottom third with 3.64 rpg. I'm counting on the red hot Cubs obliterate the Royals in this one.  10* play on Chicago Cubs -1.5. |
08-05-20 | Avalanche -127 v. Stars | Top | 4-0 | Win | 100 | 14 h 55 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NHL) - TOP RATED MONEYLINE MAJOR WAGER The Colorado Avalanche are coming off a 2-1 win over St. Louis while Dallas took a 5-3 loss to Vegas in its first game of the Western Conference round-robin. The Stars may have gotten the better of Colorado all four times during the regular season, but I like Colorado in tonight's matchup. The Avs are averaging 3.37 goals per game and their offense is right up there with the best in the league while Dallas is averaging a paltry 2.58 goals per game. Now, the Stars do of course have a clear defensive edge, but I think both teams will play relatively relaxed and let the offense dominate the game. Avalanche are 8-2 in their last 10 playoff games as a favorite and 11-3 in their last 14 games following a win. The Stars are in a tailspin with seven straight losses (dating back to pre-covid). 10* play on Colorado Avalanche. |
08-05-20 | Nuggets v. Spurs +3.5 | Top | 132-126 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 10 m | Show |
NUGGETS VS SPURS NBA BOOKIE BLA$TER TOP PLAY The San Antonio Spurs are making a serious push for the playoffs and had won back-to-back games in the NBA bubble prior to a 132-130 loss to the 76ers last time out. This Spurs team is scrappier than most people thought, and I think they'll give the Denver Nuggets all they can handle in this matchup. Denver is banged up and pretty much just looking to get out of the regular season as healthy as possible. The Nuggets did bounce back to defeat OKC in OT last time out after losing their first game in the bubble to Miami, but I just don't see them caring much about this contest, particularly considering how shorthanded they are. Note that Will Barton and Gary Harris have both already been ruled out for Wednesday’s game, while Jamal Murray is questionable. Look for a healthier and more motivated Spurs team to at the very least cover the spread and possibly win outright. 10* play on San Antonio Spurs. |
08-04-20 | Suns v. Clippers OVER 230 | Top | 117-115 | Win | 100 | 13 h 21 m | Show |
SUNS VS CLIPPERS TUESDAY AFTERNOON BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY The Phoenix Suns are one of the few teams still undefeated in the NBA bubble following impressive wins over Washington and Dallas. They are still a long-shot to make the playoffs, but they've certainly not given up. The LA Clippers are looking to defend their No. 2 seed in the West with Nuggets, Rockets and Thunder, but I think the motivational advantage goes to Phoenix. All that being said, I have my eyes on the total in this one. Both teams rank inside the top-10 for pace of play and in the top half for offensive efficiency. Additionally, the Clippers have been red hot from behind the arc and Phoenix is also capable of lighting it up from deep. 10* play on OVER 230. |
08-04-20 | Pirates v. Twins -1.5 | Top | 3-7 | Win | 100 | 12 h 30 m | Show |
SUPER EARLY PIRATES @ TWINS - BREAKFAST BANKROLL BUILDER The Minnesota Twins finished a run short of covering the runline in a 5-4 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday. Tough game as they put themselves in a situation where they had to battle back from a four-run deficit, but I think they'll come through with a more decisive win today. Pittsburgh righty Joe Musgrove (0-2, 4.76 ERA) has allowed three runs through 5 2/3 frames in each of his first two starts in 2020. He has already served up a total of four homers, which could turn into a big issue here against a Twins team that ranks third in the league with 16 home runs on the season. Jose Berrios (0-2, 7.00 ERA) will take the ball for the Twins for his second start. He pitched five innings of two-run ball Thursday in a loss to the Indians and I have no doubt he'll be able to shut down a Pirates team that averages only 3.33 runs per game. 10* play on Minnesota Twins -1.5. |

MAJOR WAGER ALERT - MONDAY NIGHT MLB RUNLINE RIPPER I love the Atlanta Braves in this Monday night matchup with the NY Mets. Sure, Mets' right-hander Jacob deGrom (0-0, 1.64 ERA) is one of the best pitchers in the major leagues, but Mets' bullpen and ranks near the bottom of the leagues with its 6.69 ERA. Braves' righty Mike Soroka (0-0, 1.59 ERA) is also a terrific pitcher, and Atlanta is averaging 5.83 runs per game which can be compared to the Mets' 3.89 runs per game.  This is the series finale of a four-game set of which Atlanta has won the first three. While I do like their chances of winning this one outright, I think we're getting an insurance run at a cheap price. 10* play on Atlanta Braves +1.5. |

08-03-20 | Grizzlies v. Pelicans -4 | Top | 99-109 | Win | 100 | 19 h 46 m | Show |
MONDAY NIGHT NBA BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY The New Orleans Pelicans have had a day of rest and contemplation since taking a 126-103 beating by the Clippers in their first match in the NBA Bubble on Saturday. I like them to come back with a vengeance, facing a Memphis team that will be playing on no rest after scrapping with the Spurs on Sunday. While Memphis has a strong ATS record on no days rest, playing on no rest without being up to speed this early following the long hiatus is a tough ask. I'm happy to take the fresher legs in this contest. 10* play on New Orleans Pelicans. |

08-02-20 | Kings +2.5 v. Magic | Top | 116-132 | Loss | -105 | 18 h 20 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (NBA) - KINGS @ MAGIC MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY Here we have a nice motivational advantage for the Sacramento Kings who are near desperation mode after opening the two-week seeding restart with a 129-120 loss to the Spurs. The Kings in a dogfight for the No.8 seed in the West, and with so many teams involved they can't afford to drop many games to at the very least position themselves for a play-in game. The Orlando Magic are in a much better situation in the East, sitting seventh and with a 6.5 game gap down to No. 9 Washington. Additionally, they are in a potential flat spot following a 128-118 win over Brooklyn. Kings are 5-0-1 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog and 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings with Orlando. 10* play on Sacramento Kings. |

08-02-20 | Verona v. Genoa -156 | Top | 0-3 | Win | 100 | 14 h 56 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (SOCCER) - TOP RATED SERIE A MAJOR WAGER Genoa will be fighting for their Serie A life here while Verona are sitting pretty in the middle of the table, entering the last round of play with nothing more than pride to play for. Genoa are in 17th place, just above the relegation zone, only one point ahead of 18th-place Lecce who have a home game against Parma. I do not think Genoa can count on Lecce dropping points, so I expect them to do everything in their power to get the win here. Of Genoa's mere nine wins on the season, six of them have been earned home at Stadio Luigi Ferraris. 10* play on Genoa. |

08-01-20 | Red Sox v. Yankees -1.5 | Top | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 18 h 13 m | Show |
GAME OF THE WEEK (MLB) - RED SOX @ YANKEES MAJOR WAGER TOP PLAY The New York Yankees have as expected been one of the best teams in baseball and enter this contest with a 5-1 record. For this one, they'll hand the ball to former ace Masahiro Tanaka (2019: 11-9, 4.45 ERA) for his season debut and I think he should be able to shut down a Red Sox side that has averaged only 3.4 runs per game since putting up 13 in its season opener. The Red Sox hand the ball to Zach Godley (2019: 3-5, 6.39 ERA) who struggled through most of last season. Godley is coming off four scoreless innings of relief versus the New York Mets, but this stacked Yankee lineup is a completely different animal than the Mets. The Yankees won the series opener 5-1 and I think they'll win this one by at least two runs as well. 10* play on the NY Yankees -1.5 |

08-01-20 | Heat v. Nuggets +1 | Top | 125-105 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 31 m | Show |
SUPER EARLY HEAT VS NUGGETS BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY The Denver Nuggets defeated the Heat 109-89 back in November. While that might as well have been a lifetime ago, I still think they have an edge here in the two teams' first game back since the Covid-19 pandemic put the NBA season on hold. Admittedly, the Heat have an advantage on the perimeter but the Nuggets should dominate the interior. Backing a team relying on its sharpshooting following an extended hiatus is a risky business, and I'm counting on the Nuggets to grind down their opponent with their size and squad depth in this one. 10* play on Denver Nuggets. |

07-31-20 | Kings -3 v. Spurs | Top | 120-129 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 3 m | Show |
KINGS VS SPURS FRIDAY NIGHT NBA TOP PLAY This looks like a good spot to back the Sacramento Kings who sit 3.5 games out of the No. 8 seed in the West, 1.5 games ahead of the Spurs. San Antonio will have to do without power forward LaMarcus Aldridge down the stretch as he has undergone season-ending shoulder surgery, and I would not be surprised to see the Spurs tanking. Spurs have been one of the worst teams in the NBA so far with a 25-37-1 ATS record. I'm happy to roll with the Kings in this one. 10* play on Sacramento Kings. |

07-30-20 | Mariners v. Angels -1.5 | Top | 8-5 | Loss | -100 | 17 h 50 m | Show |
THURSDAY NIGHT MLB BOOKIE BREAKER TOP PLAY I like the LA Angels to win this one in dominant fashion. Seattle left-hander Marco Gonzales (0-1, 6.23 ERA) was knocked around for four runs (three earned) in 4 1/3 innings of work against Houston in his season debut. Mike Trout is 12-of-28 off Gonzales and the Angels are 6-1 in their last seven home games vs. a left-handed starter. Dylan Bundy (1-0, 1.35 ERA) takes the ball for the Halos, looking to build on a solid season debut when he held the A's to one run on three hits with seven Ks through 6 2/3 innings of a 4-1 win. Only five players on this Seattle roster has seen Bundy before, and he has held them to a combined .228 batting average over 34 at bats. Additionally, we have seen a total of 29 runs through the first two games and I think we'll see plenty of fireworks in this one as well. 10* play on LA Angels -1.5. |
