06-18-23 | Hamilton -2 v. Toronto | Top | 14-32 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 17 m | Show |
Hamilton at Toronto 7:00 ET Tiger-Cats (-) over Argonauts- There is some thing really, really wrong here as the defending CFL Grey Cup Champions are underdogs in their season opener at home. Toronto was the last man standing in the CFL defeating Winnipeg 24-23 holding the powerful Blue Bombers offense to just 286 offensive yards in the championship game. Tigers-Cats have a game under their belt and was trashed by the same Blue Bombers last week. Take HAMILTON! |
06-18-23 | Rays v. Padres -136 | Top | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 6 h 28 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at San Diego 4:10 ET Padres over Rays- Tampa Bay is leading the MLB in lowest ERA and have scored the second most runs behind Texas. They are sending Yonny Chirinos (3-1, 2.35 ERA) to the mound are he has been outstanding in his limited action allowing just 24 hits in 38 innings. San Diego will send Joe Musgrove (4-2, 4.37) and his high-lite is that he has 47 strikeouts in 47 innings. The Padres are starting his hit which is long overdue. Take SAN DIEGO! |
06-17-23 | Rays v. Padres -111 | Top | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 19 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at San Diego 7:10 ET Padres over Rays- This one we should have thoughts about as the struggling Padres will send former Rays Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell (2-6, 3.78 ERA) who has been just a shell of himself since being removed in the 2020 playoffs. But, pitching against his former team will give him incentive as it was a bitter parting in 2021. Tampa Bay will start Zach Eflin (8-1, 2.97) who after seven years with the Phillies seems to have found himself this season. There is  trouble in Diego as the Rays are not only 22-6 against lefties but 6-1 in the last seven meetings. As bad as the Padres appear at times they are 6-1 after a loss. Take SAN DIEGO! |
06-17-23 | Edmonton Elks v. BC -7 | Top | 0-22 | Win | 100 | 17 h 5 m | Show |
Edmonton at British Columbia 7:00 ET Lions (-) over Elks- What we have come to see so far in  CFL play is that with offenses having only three downs to make a first down, teams with the better offenses have an even better chance for victory by bigger margins. Edmonton does not move the ball while l gaining just 275 total yards and with only 73 rushing. BC put up 25 points and 423 yards as an underdog (+2.5) against Calgary in their opener.  Elks are 2-8 ATS vs. the West and 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings. Take BRITISH COLUMBIA! |
06-17-23 | Pirates v. Brewers +108 | 0-5 | Win | 108 | 6 h 13 m | Show
Pittsburgh at Milwaukee 4:10 ET Pirates over Brewers- Pittsburgh who has surprised us all up to this point has now dropped four games in a row and will have their best (ace?) Mitch Keller (8-2, 3.41 ERA) who has won five of his past seven starts. Keller is 0-2 with a 3.98 ERA in four career starts against Milwaukee while the Pirates have gone 14-26 since winning 20 of their first 28 games. Left-hander Wade Miley (3-2, 3.67) is making his first start since going on the IL and is 5-5 with an ERA of 3.27 over 15 career starts against Pitt. Take MILWAUKEE!  |
06-16-23 | White Sox +120 v. Mariners | 2-3 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 29 m | Show
Chicago White Sox at Seattle 10:10 ET White Sox over Mariners- Both of these clubs have been a disappointment to their supporters this season and can only hope for a surge the rest of the season. The White Sox are starting to heat up despite their dreadful loss to the Dodgers last night after blowing a 4-0 lead. Chicago will send Michael Kopech (3-5, 4.03 ERS) who has deserved better fate allowing just 54 hits in 74 innings and believe me that is good, more than very good. Seattle will send rookie Bryan Woo (0-1, 10.80) to the hill and he does have 11 K’s in 6.2 innings. But, it is the White Sox tonight. Take CHICAGO! |
06-16-23 | Winnipeg -6.5 v. Saskatchewan | 45-27 | Win | 100 | 8 h 60 m | Show
Winnipeg at Saskatchewan 9:00 ET Blue Bombers (-) over Roughriders- The top offense in the CFL showed no signs of weakness in their 499 yard outing against Hamilton on June 9 and I expect more of the same here. The Bombers had a 233 yards gained advantage over the tigers-cats while the Roughriders were squeaking by Edmonton gaining only 314 total yards. Take WINNIPEG! |
06-16-23 | Blue Jays -141 v. Rangers | Top | 2-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 37 m | Show |
Toronto at Texas 8:05 ET Blue Jays over Rangers-  The odds makers must be messing with my head a bit as they insist on making the Blue Jays favored in difficult spots and they seem to always fall short when I was sucked in. I hate betting this team but i still believe that they are winners tonight. To start with Texas has fallen back of late dropping six of their last eight games and they will be facing Toronto’s top hurler in Kevin Gausman 5-3, 3.12 ERA) who is 4-2 with a 3.88 ERA against the Rangers in nine starts. Martin Perez (6-2, 4.67) will get the nod for the Rangers and he has had the best run support of all Texas pitchers while surrendering 87 hits in just 71 innings . Take TORONTO! |
06-16-23 | Yankees v. Red Sox -120 | 5-15 | Win | 100 | 7 h 35 m | Show
NY Yankees at Boston 7:10 ET Red Sox over Yankees- This will be just the second series between baseball’s bitterest of all rivalries as the Red Sox host the Yankees after taking 2-of-3 in last weekend’s series at Yankee Stadium. Tanner Houch (3-6, 5.23 ERA) gets the start for Boston and he has fared better against the Yankees than the rest MLB as he is 2-2 with a 2.41 ERA in 10 appearances against New York. The Bronx Bombers (not without Judge) will start Domingo German (4-34, 3.49) who is 3-2 with a 3.64 ERA against the Sox and he has allowed two runs or less in six of seven starts. But, it is the Red Sox that are 17-5 at home against teams with winning records. Take BOSTON! |
06-15-23 | Angels v. Rangers -129 | Top | 5-3 | Loss | -129 | 10 h 50 m | Show |
LA Angels at Texas 7:10 ET Rangers over Angels-  Okay, this one should be good as MKB will showcase its biggest attraction since Babe Ruth in Shohei Othani (5-2, 3.88 ERA) who has a legitimate shot before it is over to win both the Cy Young and MVP and it could possibly happen in the same season. But, I truly do not believe it is happening this  right now. He starts for the Angels tonight but his overall number from the hill are not as awesome as his a at the plate (leads majors with 21 home runs). The man that will attempted to cool Othani down is Nathan Eovaldi (9-2, 2.49) who will probably steal the CY tonight as he mows this Angels down. He has surrendered just 68 hits in 87 innings pitched. Rangers have the 2nd best record in baseball to Tampa Bay and they have scored the most runs, and more tonight off the hard throwing right-hander. Take TEXAS! |
06-15-23 | Pirates v. Cubs -1.5 | 2-7 | Win | 140 | 10 h 36 m | Show
Pittsburgh at Chicago Cubs 8:20 ET Cubs (-1.5) over Pirates- Chicago starter Marcus Stroman (7-4, 2.42 ERA) is having his best statistical season of his career as he leads the majors in quality starts with 12 and has held opponents to a .150 batting average and a 1.26 ERA in that span. Pittsburgh will send Johan Oviedo (3-5, 4.16) who is 1-2 with a 3.86 ERA against the Cubs while Stroman is looking to pick up his first career win (0-3) over the Pirates. Still, take CHICAGO! |
06-15-23 | Phillies -130 v. Diamondbacks | 5-4 | Win | 100 | 5 h 17 m | Show
Philadelphia at Arizona 3:40 ET Phillies over DBacks- Philadelphia is beginning to play like the team that won the NL Pennant last season and have won nine of their last 10 as their bats have come alive. The Phillies have scored 34 runs in their last four games and will be sending their No. 1 starter to the hill as Aaron Nola (5-5, 4.60 ERA) who gave up a season high for hits and runs in his last start and the outing before that he surrendered just one hit in eight innings. Arizona will send Ryan Nelson (3-3, 4.95) to the mound and he also carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning against Detroit his last time out. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
06-14-23 | Phillies +118 v. Diamondbacks | Top | 4-3 | Win | 118 | 10 h 3 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Arizona 9:40 ET Phillies over Diamondbacks- Liking to come back with the 15-3 Power Play winner we had yesterday and looking for Philadelphia to subdue this ratters. Arizona is a team of streaks as they had their six-game run stopped last night after taking down Phillie in Game 1 of this four game series. Tonight’s starter for the Dbcks Merrill Kelly (8-3, 2.94 ERA) is looking for his eighth straight winning decision and is 1-1 with a 1.98 ERA against the Phillies. The former Whiz-Kids are streaking themselves wining eight of their last 10. Ranger Saurez (1-2, 4.70) starts for the visitor and he has allowed just one run in each of his last two starts and gets the win here! Take PHILADELPHIA! |
06-14-23 | Yankees v. Mets -103 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 8 h 11 m | Show |
NY Yankees at NY Mets 7:10 ET Mets over Yankees- The Yankees took the opener of this 2-game set at Citi Field as the Mets blew up with the umpires and on the field giving up a 4-run lead. The Yanks who usually are an all-or-nothing team from the plate and Tuesday all nine starters had hits and with two home runs. The aces of the staff for both clubs will start tonight with Gerrit Cole (7-1, 2.84 ERA) on the bump for the visitor and Justin Verlander (2-3, 4.85) on the hill for the Mets. Cole is 2-2 with a 6.75 in six career starts versus the Mets while Verlander is 9-7 with a 3.44 in 23 regular season starts against the Yankees. Mets are 5-2 in last five meetings at home. Take METS! |
06-13-23 | Phillies -126 v. Diamondbacks | 15-3 | Win | 100 | 11 h 15 m | Show
Philadelphia at Arizona 11:00 ET Phillies over Diamondbacks- Before the season began we had to write previews of the upcoming season and I stated the Arizona could show the most improvement but, I really never expected them to have the best record in the NL up to this point. So, now that they have the best record in the NL and immediately become a home underdog. Philadelphia will be starting Zack Wheeler (4-4, 3.91 ERA) and he had a no-hit bid end after 7.1 innings in his last start against Detroit . Despite yesterday’s loss the Phillies have won 7-of-9. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
06-13-23 | Panthers v. Golden Knights -167 | Top | 3-9 | Win | 100 | 19 h 29 m | Show |
Florida at Las Vegas 8:00 ET Golden Knights (ML) over Panthers- It is just the way it is this season in sports where the playoffs don’t bring much excitement to America excepting in the home  cities. Many have the let us get this over with attitude and like the Heat in Miami the Panthers will not survive in the desert. The anomie that Florida got this far defeating record points making Boston and being so close to elimination and like Miami their season with end after five games in the finals. The Golden Knights skate better and best just not fall into the Panthers taunting and rough play. They will try luring them in to fights and incur penalty minutes incur but the Knights must maintain their composure and they will win. Take LAS VEGAS! |
06-13-23 | Brewers +110 v. Twins | 5-7 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 16 m | Show
Milwaukee at Minnesota 7:45 ET Brewers over Twins- Milwaukee has now lost four straight games three of which came via a 3-game sweep by Oakland. Yes this As team just beat the Brewers three straight. The Brewers will send Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes (5-4, 3.36 ERA) to the hill and after a rocky start has settled down in his last three starts throwing 21 innings and allowing just eight hits. Minnesota will start Pablo Lopez (3-3, 4.25) who is 1-1 lifetime against the Brewers who have won four of the last five meetings. Take MILWAUKEE!  |
06-13-23 | Blue Jays -118 v. Orioles | Top | 6-11 | Loss | -118 | 9 h 42 m | Show |
Toronto at Baltimore 7:05 ET Blue Jays over Orioles- This seems a bit strange to me as Baltimore has the second best record in the AL behind Tampa Bay of course and yet they are underdogs at home to the Blue Jays who they hold a 10-game lead over. This seems even more bogus when you realize that the Orioles have won their last four games. To point out more oddities we see Baltimore going 20-12 at home while Blue Jays are just 18-17 on the road. Blue Jays are 5-2 at Baltimore in the last seven. Take TORONTO! |
06-12-23 | Marlins v. Mariners -114 | 1-8 | Win | 100 | 10 h 18 m | Show
Miami at Seattle  9:40 ET Mariners over Marlins- A couple of sea-farers here with one club exceeding expectations and the other like a low tide coming up short. Miami has won 12 of 15 and are 17-5 in one-run games. The Mariners were supposed to contend for the AL West Division but have yet to reach their so called potential. The Marlins will send lefty Jesus Luzardo (5-4, 3.79 ERA) to the bump and he is 2-0 with a 2.55 ERA in five4 appearances against the Sea-birds.Seattle will start Bryce Miller (3-3, 4.46) who was cruising along this season until having to face to Yankees and Ranges in consecutive starts and everything changed. Before those two outings where he gave up 15 earned runs in just seven innings to boost his ERA from 1.60 to where it is now. The Marlins line-up is certainly a step down from those two hitting clubs. Mariners are 13-3 at home against left-handed starters. Take SEATTLE! |
06-12-23 | Heat +9 v. Nuggets | Top | 89-94 | Win | 100 | 27 h 29 m | Show |
Miami at Denver 8:30 ET Heat (+) over Nuggets- It is Do or Die for the Heat with their 3-point shots as that is they only way they can stay alive against the Nuggets in Denver . The points are generous and well they should as them Mile High Guys look and play much better even at sea level (which after forty years is still not rising...Al Gore). From what i have seen I can not see the Heat winning this game but at the same time I believe that their intensity will be at the max. The South Beach boys have responded throughout most when little was expected of them and that is what I am expecting here. Although the 9-points or so is temping to take on a team that will be making their last salvo if eliminated. Take MIAMI! |
06-12-23 | Reds v. Royals -107 | 5-4 | Loss | -107 | 9 h 39 m | Show
Cincinnati at Kansas City 8:10 ET Royals over Reds- If Oakland can win five straight why can’t Kansas City win here, Zack Grienke (1-6, 4.59 ERA) who has had a stellar career is making what I assume is his farewell tour and the way he is throwing it should be...farewell. Grienkle is 8-2, with a 2.38 ERA in 14 career starts against Cincinnati with 13 of 14 quality starts. He will be opposed by Reds right-hander Luke Weaver (1-2, 6.27) who is mist a five-game winless streak and is facing his former team with who he has a 5.59 ERA against. Hold your breather and take...KANSAS CITY! |
06-11-23 | Saskatchewan v. Edmonton Elks -2.5 | 17-13 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 40 m | Show
Saskatchewan at Edmonton 7:00 ET Elks (-) over Roughriders- These were without question the worst teams in the West and the visiting Roughriders opened a 2.5 favorite and the line has swung 5-points to where the home Edmonton is now the 2.5-point favorite. A swing that in this time of the year is something to respect as information flows. A team that ha gone 0-16 SU and 3-13 ATS in their last 16 home games has been moved to the favorite. Elks 6.5 foot QB Taylor Cornelius is impossible to contain near the goal line. Take EDMONTON! |
06-11-23 | Reds v. Cardinals -115 | Top | 4-3 | Loss | -115 | 3 h 20 m | Show |
Cincinnati at St. Louis 2:15 ET Cardinals over Red(legs)- He is one of the more exciting and electric young hard throwers in the game and I am speaking of Hunter Greene (1-4, 3.92 ERA) of the former Redlegs now known as Reds. He has given up just a par hits in his last two starts and he gives up less hits than innings pitched but has issued too many free passes. St. Louis has been playing more like Dead-birds than Redbirds and will have future HOF hurler Adam Wainwright (2-1, 5.97) who in his eighteenth season is on the down side of his career (opponents are hitting .326 against him and surprisingly Cincinnati is the team that has tagged him with his most career loses as he is 11-17 with a 5.53 ERA in 40 lifetime appearances. One of those wins came this season and the Cardinals are 10-4 over the Reds in the last 14 meetings.Take ST. LOUIS! |
06-10-23 | Golden Knights v. Panthers -110 | Top | 3-2 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 60 m | Show |
Las Vegas at Florida 8:00 ET Panthers (ML) over Golden Knights- Okay, we all saw Vegas dominate the first two period in game 3 and yet end up an overtime loser. The key here is how the OT came about. The Golden Knights were on the brink of going up 3-0 in this series with a 2-1 lead late in the third period they had to be thinking just 2 more minutes and 17 seconds and we will be up 3-0 and that much closer to the Stanley Cup. Then the sudden crash as the Panthers tie it up and of course with Las Vegas now downtrodden and forlorn lose quickly in overtime. Oh what could have been, some spirits are low and some are high. Take the high. Take FLORIDA! |
06-10-23 | Red Sox +107 v. Yankees | 1-3 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 20 m | Show
Boston at New York Yankees 7:35 ET Red Sox over Yankees- No Aaron Judge, no Derek Jeter, no chance!Sorry to pull that out but it is true, as Judge goes, so goes New York and they have not won a thing since the Captains retirement. Boston is hanging on about that .500 number but when playing the Yankees every thing is more intense and they are up for the challenge. This hard to take considering I am a New Yorker at heart and Tanner Houch (3-5, 5.46 ERA) is taking the mound for the Red Sox and he is not so well good, but he is facing a team that can not get out of their own way and the league MVP is on the DL. Take BOSTON! |
06-10-23 | Ottawa +2.5 v. Montreal | Top | 12-19 | Loss | -110 | 16 h 1 m | Show |
Ottawa at Montreal 7:00 ET RedBlacks (+) over Alouettes- Well, we are going to find out tonight if the CFL plays to the same tune as the NFL and most other football. Here we have Montreal at Home having gone to the playoffs three straight years hosting an Ottawa football team that hasn’t made the playoffs in any of those three years. So, what is the deal...my issue even in a league where you can score a one-point play that with those two resumes why is the home team favored by less the a field goal. Obviously the odds-maker believe that the RedBlacks have a shot at winning this contest outright. I will be happy with an ATS win. Take OTTAWA |
06-10-23 | Astros v. Guardians -130 | 6-4 | Loss | -130 | 9 h 6 m | Show
Houston at Cleveland 6:10 ET Indians (oops, I did it again) over Astros- This is all about Triston McKenzie (0-0, 0.00 ERA) who has pitched in only game this season a start at Minnesota where he struck out 10 Twins in five innings allowing just one hit recording 10. He was electric in that game and I can’t pass him up here. Houston has been the best team on the planet for a number of tears now but Triston is out of this world an will  it will be a hard landing for he Astros! J.P. France (1-1, 3.44) get the nod for our spaceman and they have lost his last three starts. Take CLEVELAND!  |
06-10-23 | Dodgers v. Phillies -105 | Top | 9-0 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 10 m | Show |
LA Dodgers at Philadelphia 7:05 ET Phillies over Dodgers- The problem for me here is that I really like the Dodgers Bobby Miller (2-0, 1.06 ERA) who just shut down the Yankees allowing only one hit in six innings and he received a no decision. Miller was the LA No. 1 draft pick in 2020 and that was his third MLB appearance and to date in 17 innings he has surrendered only nine hits with 16 strike outs and only four walks. Aaron Nola (5-4, 4.30) is considered as the Philadelphia (Megabucks winner yesterday 5-4) workhorse and has had mixed results having failed to post a winning season since 2019. Although his numbers do not necessarily show it but he has been throwing really well lately allowing just one hit in seven innings his last time out and he has only given up 67 hits in 82 innings on the year. The Phillies have won six straight and are 37-17 in their last 54 home game while the Dodgers are 2-6 in their last eight road games. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
06-10-23 | Mets v. Pirates +116 | 5-1 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 35 m | Show
Chip’s FREE MLB Winner New York Mets at Pittsburgh 4:05 ET Pirates over Mets- New York never really thought that this 31-year old starter from Japan would be the Mets leading winner with five at any time in the season. Kodai Senga (5-3, 3.75 ERA) is tied with Jason Verlander for most Mets wins and he is off his worst and shortest start of the year lasting just 2.2 innings against the Blue jays surrendering four hits and five walks before given the rest of the night off. The Pirates will send Yohan Odviedo (3-4, 4.29) and he is off his best outing this season. But, the storyline here is the Muts are hurting and just can not win and they are 5-17 in their last 22 road games. Talk has already started about Showalter job security. Take PITTSBURGH! |
06-09-23 | Nuggets v. Heat +3.5 | Top | 108-95 | Loss | -109 | 11 h 19 m | Show |
Denver at Miami 8:30 ET Heat (+) over Nuggets- The problem for Miami is that when they get beat they look so bad. When watching them go down you begin to wonder how they got to where they are right now. But, the thing is to remember is that no team is as bad as they look and that they are still professionals and respond in kind.I expect a maximum effort from the Heat tonight and for this game to stay within the margin one way or another. Take MIAMI! |
06-09-23 | Hamilton v. Winnipeg -5 | 31-42 | Win | 100 | 22 h 31 m | Show
Hamilton at Winnipeg 8:30 ET Blue Bombers (-) over Tiger-Cats- Winnipeg fell short of completing  the Gray Cup Hat-trick and will have two-time Most Outstanding Player Zach Collaros quarterbacking and he threw for 4,183 yards last season while sitting out two games. Hamilton had the number one rushing defense in the CFL last season and added QB Bo Levi Mitchell to perk up the offense...it won’t be enough. Take BLUE BOMBERS! |
06-09-23 | Dodgers v. Phillies -101 | Top | 4-5 | Win | 100 | 9 h 23 m | Show |
LA Dodgers at Philadelphia 7:10 ET Phillies over Dodgers- The Phillies have been playing like they still are hung over from a World Series that they really had no shot at winning. The Dodgers although a comfortable 9-games over .500 just do not appear to me to be a championship team. They are 16-17 on the road while the Phils are at least 17-10 at home and will have Ranger Suarez who picked up his first victory in his last start his fifth and this will make tow-in-a-row. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
06-08-23 | BC v. Calgary -3 | 25-15 | Loss | -107 | 18 h 1 m | Show
BC Lions at Calgary 9:00 ET Stampeders (-) over Lions- In so many ways this is so the CFL, the opener pits two teams who played their final of two preseason games against each other. These two clubs are rated so closely that they both have win totals of 9.5. BC led the CFL in total offense last season and defeated Calgary last week 25-22 as an underdog at home as Lions QB Vernon Adams Jr. went 12-for 12 against a defense of future cuts. Although BC led the CFL in total offense and passing yards last season and had a better defense statistically they are not in a good spot here. It is not to be in the opener...This seems like a home and home series. Take CALGARY! |
06-08-23 | Golden Knights v. Panthers -118 | Top | 2-3 | Win | 100 | 17 h 55 m | Show |
Las Vegas at Florida 8:00 ET Panthers over Golden Knights- Las Vegas is surely the better team as they have show so far setting Finals records in scoring. Florida who was the lowest of all seeds and must try and intimidate and bully the better skating Knights. That did not work in either of the two games  in Las Vegas but now in their home ice the blow to the chops might have more impact. The Panthers will do what they do best and that will frustrate and opponents....take FLORIDA! |
06-08-23 | Orioles v. Brewers -102 | Top | 6-3 | Loss | -102 | 3 h 48 m | Show |
Baltimore at Milwaukee 2:10 ET Brewers over Orioles- Baltimore has dropped three straight and are in danger of getting swept for the first time this season. The Orioles have lost four of their last six games and will start  Kyle Bradish (2-2, 4.13 ERA) who has never faced the Brewers. Milwaukee will send Colin Rea (3-3, 4.94) who is seeking his fourth straight win.  The Orioles are 0-4 in inter-league road games against winning teams and are 0-7 their last seven in the Brew City and the Brewers are 5-1 in their Last six. Take MILWAUKEE! |
06-07-23 | Nuggets v. Heat +2.5 | Top | 109-94 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 18 m | Show |
Denver at Miami 8:30 ET Heat (+) over Nuggets- It was in 1966 the the Monkeys, the British rock group led by teen idol Davy Jones sang their hit song ‘I’m a believer’ and it has taken me up until now to become a true believer in the Heat. To start with it seems that Miami really does not began to play until they are facing at least a 15-point deficit and more then likely in the second half. When Pat Riley stepped down many said he choose Eric Spoelstra to coach because he would make Riley look better as a head coach and now it is being said that he is the best coach in the NBA. Maybe he is, but that hasn’t stopped the public from playing Denver like no one else is playing in the game. Take MIAMI! |
06-07-23 | Orioles v. Brewers -136 | Top | 2-10 | Win | 100 | 10 h 40 m | Show |
Baltimore at Milwaukee 8:40 ET Brewers over Orioles- Now that Baltimore is getting the attention the deserve I will be looking to fade them more often as they become popular with public. Milwaukee staged a late 4-3 comeback as Tuesday’s Megabucks Brewers were a winner and they are 29-4 when scoring four runs or more and just 4-24 when they do not. The Orioles will start Dean Kramer (6-2, 4.43 ERA) who has never faced the Brewers while the home team will start former Cy Young Award winner Corbin Burnes (4-4, 3.75) who has just one career start against the Brewers a no decision. Baltimore is just 4-11 in inter-league games against opponents with winning records and they are 0-6 in their last six games in the Brew City and 1-8 in their last nine meetings. Take MILWAUKEE! |

06-06-23 | Orioles v. Brewers -124 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 9 h 40 m | Show |
Baltimore at Milwaukee 7:40 ET Brewers over Orioles- Baltimore has developed into one of the more exciting club with their youth taking control after years of futility. The Orioles are an amazing 20-10 on the road and have won eight of 10 series played away from Camden Yards and have the third best record in all of MLB. Kyle Gibson (7-3, 3.89 ERA) has won his last three starts for the O’s but is just 1-2 with a 5.67 ERA in seven career starts against Milwaukee. Veteran Freddy Peralta (5-5, 4.62) gets the nod for the Brewers and he is 4-2 with a 3.38 ERA at home and the Orioles are 0-5 in their last five meetings at Milwaukee. Take MILWAUKEE! |
06-05-23 | Brewers v. Reds -122 | Top | 0-2 | Win | 100 | 9 h 21 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Cincinnati 7:10 ET Redlegs over Brewers- The way things have been going in baseball the past five days I believe it is best to just stay with the A-Play the single strongest play I see on the MLB board today. The meeting seems to be a bit askew with the price as Milwaukee is looking for a 4-game sweep and come up an be underdog to a rookie, left-hander Andrew Abbott (0-0, 0.00) who is making his MLB debut. The Brewers will go with 14 year veteran Julio Teheran (1-1, 0.82 ERA) who make just one appearance in 2022 and only 12 stats the last three seasons. In his career Teheran is 3-4 with a 4.14 ERA in nine career starts against Cincinnati and the Brewers are 2-5 in their last seven against lefties. I know the Reds are not so good but this young hurler started in Double-A and has risen quickly through the system to the bigs. Take CINCINNATI! |
06-04-23 | Heat v. Nuggets -8.5 | Top | 111-108 | Loss | -108 | 19 h 22 m | Show |
Miami at Denver 9:00 ET Nuggets (-) over Heat- In all three of their previous playoff series No. 8 seed Miami was able to get a jump on the No. 1 Bucks, No. 5 Knicks and No. 2 Celtics in the opening game of the series and that put tremendous pressure on the home clubs. They felt ambushed in a way and that is not something Denver has to worry about. After crushing Phoenix in their final two games of the series the Nuggets swept the Lakers and won their seventh straight over the Heat in Game One. I am sure to hear how Miami will make adjustments and the Game-1 loser is covering with the zigzag concept is they play...well not so fast. Let us take a closer look at this Heat club. To start with they are just 3-9 ATS following a loss by 10 points or more. And I have more, Miami is 9-26 ATS in the lat 35 overall meetings and 0-4 ATS at Mile High. Finally, they are 4-14 ATS in their last 17 with 2 days rest while the Nuggets are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games on two days rest and we will rest with the Nuggets are 8-3 last 11 at home. Plus they really are a lot better and hungry. Nuggets can shoot the ball and the other side not so much, as they already shot their load in the last three anomalies. Take DENVER! |
06-04-23 | Orioles v. Giants -105 | Top | 8-3 | Loss | -105 | 6 h 22 m | Show |
Baltimore at San Francisco 4:05 ET Giants over Orioles- It took 58 games but the Giants have scratched and clawed all the way back to reached .500 at 29-29. Yesterday’s Power Play win with SF should be repeated here Sunday as a Megabucks winner with San Francisco sending Anthony DeScalafani (4-4, 3.48 ERA) to the bump against Baltimore’s Tyler Wells (3-2, 3.29). Wells has been truly amazing allowing just 40 hits in 63 innings pitched all in 11 appearances giving up more than four hits only three times. Traveling west has not been a good experience for the Orioles as they are 4-10 against the NL West and the Giants are 5-2 in their last seven inter-league games. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
06-04-23 | Blue Jays v. Mets -127 | 6-4 | Loss | -127 | 4 h 41 m | Show
Toronto at New York Mets 1:40 ET Mets over Blue Jays- Every once in a while a pitcher comes up with a itch that is difficult to describe and for Kodai Senga (5-3, 3.44 ERA) his ‘Ghost Forkball’ as he joins Fernando Valenzuela, Bruce Sutter and Yu Darvish among a few others. His opponent pitching for Toronto will be Yusei Kikuchi (6-2, 4.47) and immigration has hit MLB with a pair of Japanese starters taking the mound. Both of these hurlers are over 30 years old with the Mets Senga a rookie against the Blue Jays Kikuchi who is in his sixth year and has yet to have a winning season. Take NEW YORK METS! |
06-04-23 | Rays v. Red Sox +112 | 6-2 | Loss | -100 | 4 h 45 m | Show
Tampa Bay at Boston 1:35 ET Red Sox over Rays- The aura of the Rays is starting to tarnish a bit as they lost their opportunity to go undefeated this season. But, they are still one of the toughest line-ups to deal with from top to bottom with putting the bat on the ball by keeping it in play as well as leading the MLB in home runs. Tampa Bay has dropped 3-of-5 and will send rookie Tai Bradley (3-2, 3.60 ERA) to the hill and he is off his best performance of the season shutting down the Cubs in a 1-0 victory. Boston will start Tanner Houck (3-4, 5.30) who won his first three decisions the last of which came on April 20 and it has been the long ball that has done him in surrendering seven dingers in just 53 innings. The Rays are just 5-11 in their last 16 road games against teams with winning records and 1-4 in their last five games at Boston while the Red Sox are 5-1 versus the AL East.Take BOSTON! |
06-03-23 | Orioles v. Giants -126 | 0-4 | Win | 100 | 12 h 1 m | Show
Baltimore at San Francisco 10:05 ET Giants over Orioles- Baltimore continues to amaze and win coming off a 3-2 win over the Giants last night and are now 15-games over .500. San Francisco continues to tread water and fell 1-game under the break even mark losing last night. The Orioles will start Kyle Bradish (2-1, 3.89 ERA) who is coming off a home town effort against the Angels allowing one run in 6.2 innings. The Giants will start veteran Alex Cobb (4-2, 3.05) who pitched three years as an Oriole going 7-22, since and before and he is 7-2 with a 2.17 ERA in 13 appearances against the O’s. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
06-03-23 | Yankees v. Dodgers +108 | Top | 6-3 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 19 m | Show |
New York Yankees at LA Dodgers 7:10 ET Dodgers over Yankees- I love when these two iconic baseball powers meet as the video of yesteryear will be shown over again with Don Larson, Reggie Jackson, Don Newcome and a slew of others in black and white footage (except Reggie). New York will send undefeated and Cy Young candidate Gerrit Cole (6-0, 2.93 ERA) to the hill and he has been racked for five earned runs in each of his last two starts but was bailed out by a load of Aaron Judge homers. The Dodgers will send rookie Michael Grove (0-1, 8.44) out against what is not such a formidable line-up even with whiff artist Stanton back. Somehow it is LOS ANGELES! |
06-03-23 | Blue Jays v. Mets +105 | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 6 h 19 m | Show
Toronto at New York Mets 4:10 ET Mets over Blue Jays- It was just about two years ago when Mets starter Trevor Megill (5-3, 4.67 ERA) made his first MLB start and it was a 3-0 win as he shut down Toronto on two hits in six scoreless innings. Last night former Mets pitcher Chris Bassitt shut New York down for 7.2 innings. The Blue Jays as we have seen before just do not seem to be as good as more people expected or hoped. Mets has their eight game home winning streak stopped last night and will start a new one today. Take NEW YORK! |
06-02-23 | Orioles v. Giants -151 | 3-2 | Loss | -151 | 11 h 11 m | Show
Baltimore at San Francisco 10:15 ET Giants over Orioles- This seems to be an awful high price to have to pay to back a .500 team against Baltimore who is off to their best start (35-21) since the glory years. But, San Francisco after a slow start to the season has played better ball of late going 17-12 in May while the Orioles keep singing with some of the best young talent in the AL starting to mature as players. Dean Kramer (5-2, 4.58) has had great offensive support while his counterpart from the Giants Logan Webb (4-5, 2.75) has thrown better with less results. What this price is telling me is that Webb who won his last five starts will contain the Orioles offense...and for how long before the bullpen takes over. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
06-02-23 | Mariners -105 v. Rangers | Top | 0-2 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 2 m | Show |
Seattle at Texas 8:05 ET Mariners over Rangers- Both clubs will be sending out their best of this season in a battle between a pair of right-handers as the Rangers send Jon Gray (5-1, 2.81 ERA) to the bump and Seattle will direct Luis Castillo (2.69) to the mound. It pains me to play against Texas as I posted them to be the surprise winner (that is one reason I hate making preseason predictions having to pay against my self.) Â What I see is the home club being given no advantage (by the odds-makers) here when they are a far superior club. Last season the Mariners went 14-5 against Texas including 73 in the Lone Star State. This line is just too short...Take SEATTLE! |
06-02-23 | Cardinals -136 v. Pirates | 5-7 | Loss | -136 | 8 h 3 m | Show
St. Louis at Pittsburgh 7:05 ET Cardinals over Pirates- These two ball clubs started the season in different fashions as the Pirates were hot and St. Louis was not and off to their worst start since 1914 and now things are beginning to level off. Pittsburgh got out fast and at one time were 11-games over .500 by winning 20 games in April and then started 1-11 in May. The Cardinals are coming off their first two day break since September 1978 (can that be right...yup! The Red Birds are starting Jack Flaherty (3-4, 4.81 ERA) who has found his tempo after a show start to the year but is 9-1 with a 2.57 ERA lifetime against Pittsburgh. Take ST. LOUIS! |
06-01-23 | Heat v. Nuggets -8.5 | Top | 93-104 | Win | 100 | 10 h 24 m | Show |
Miami at Denver 9:00 ET Nuggets (-) over Heat- Being in the Mile High City should cool off this Miami team who have been blazing hit in every big game situation in the entire playoffs. Denver who has been sitting around for what seems like an eternity is the polar opposite of the Heat and will force the tempo into a pace Miami will try and avoid. The key for the Nuggets is to hit their usual shots and do not allow the Heat pressure to affect them. Â Straight up, I think Nikola Jokic is just too big and powerful for the Heat defense. Miami has been through a grinding run and are just 4-12 ATS in their last 16 games with just two days rest and they are 1-5 ATS in their last six meetings in Denver and 9-25 ATS in the last 34 meetings overall. Take DENVER! |
06-01-23 | Guardians v. Twins -134 | Top | 6-7 | Win | 100 | 9 h 6 m | Show |
Cleveland at Minnesota 7:40 ET Twins over Watch Dogs- With the season almost a third of the gone Cleveland finally had an offensive output yesterday that was a high for hits (17) and runs (12). This for the clubs that has had the best of the AL Central for some time now. Minnesota who is barely over .500 and lead the Central will start Pablo Lopez (3-3, 4.11 ERA) who pitched once against the Indians when he was with Miami and picked up a win. Cleveland will send Tanner Bibee (1-1, 2.88) who can toss the ball at nearly 100 MPH and allowed only one run last time out against St. Louis in seven innings. Former Tribesman are just 3-8 in their last 11 road games and jus 2-7 in their last nine after scoring five runs or more the previous game. Take MINNESOTA! |
05-31-23 | Angels v. White Sox -128 | Top | 12-5 | Loss | -128 | 10 h 16 m | Show |
LA Angels at Chicago White Sox 2:10 ET White Sox over Angels- I am loving this side from so many angles that they can not help but intersect. Yesterday, going with ole reliable and a main stay when in need of a slump buster we played against the Angels and won out only game since Saturday (1-5)and it was Chicago over these impostors. Chicago was expected to contend for the AL Central but find themselves 11 games under .500. LA has dropped 4-of-5 after winning 4-straight at home. The White Sox have shown some life lately winning five of six against right-handed starters and will have Lance Lynn (4-5, 5.83 ERA) has won his last three starts and has picked up the pace. The woeful Angels will sent Jaime Barria (1-2, 1.55) who is making his thirteenth appearance but just his second start. Take WHITE SOX! |
05-30-23 | Yankees v. Mariners -130 | Top | 10-2 | Loss | -130 | 10 h 24 m | Show |
New York Yankees at Seattle 9:40 ET Mariners- over Yankees- With so many weak spots in their line-up the Yankees have become virtually a ‘as Judge goes so go the Yankees’. The Pride of the Yankees (no he didn’t say that) Aaron Judge hit a pair of home runs and robbed the Mariners of another in the field yesterday will be what Mariners right-hander Logan Gilbert (3-2, 3.60 ERA) will have to contend with. New York will send out Nestor Cortes (4-2, 5.30) who although has a winning record has not be anywhere as effective as he was last season. Plus the Mariners are 13-3 in their last home starts against left-hand starters. Take SEATTLE! |
05-30-23 | Angels v. White Sox -136 | 3-7 | Win | 100 | 9 h 53 m | Show
LA Angeles at Chicago White Sox 8:10 ET White Sox over Angels- Chicago’s Lucas Giolito (3-4, 3.98 ERA) is coming off his shortest outing of the year getting routed by Detroit last Tuesday issuing seven base-on-balls. LA ended a three-game losing streak with a 6-4 in over the White Sox Sunday who have dropped four-of-five. The Angels will start Tyler Anderson (2-0, 4.81) who is 0-0 with a 6.52 ERA in two starts against Chicago. Take WHITE SOX! |
05-30-23 | Twins -110 v. Astros | 1-5 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 52 m | Show
Minnesota at Houston 8:10 ET Twins over Astros- With Jose Altuve back in the lineup Houston is beginning to look like themselves once again as his recent contribution was a grand slam on Monday only to have the bullpen falter late. Minnesota has been one of the bigger surprises in the AL and currently lead the Central Division by two-games. The Twins will send out their ace to the mound in Joe Ryan (7-1, 2.21 ERA) who has worked at least six innings in all nine starts. Houston starts Brandon Bielak (1-2, 3.55) who will be making his first appearance against the Twins. Take MINNESOTA! |
05-29-23 | Yankees v. Mariners -125 | Top | 10-4 | Loss | -125 | 12 h 23 m | Show |
NY Yankees at Seattle 7:10 ET Mariners over Yankees- neither of these two clubs have reached expectations as of yet although they are both starting to play better baseball. Seattle has won six of their last seven and the Yankees have moved to nine games over .500 after a poor start to the season. New York always seems to be in the middle of something and Domingo German (2-3, 3.75 ERA) who has had issues on and off the field is off a 10-day suspension for using too much sticky-stuff and is making his first start since May 16. The Mariners will send rookie Bryce Miller (3-1, 1.15) who has not allowed more than four hits in any of his five MLB starts. Anthony Rizzo the Yankees only .300 hitter will be out after getting hit in the head in a collision with Fernando Tatis Jr. Take SEATTLE! |
05-29-23 | Heat v. Celtics -7 | Top | 103-84 | Loss | -110 | 23 h 39 m | Show |
Miami at Boston 8:30 ET Celtics (+) over Heat- Okay, here comes the rub, I totally expect Boston to win this game as I posted them at 7/1 to win the series after falling behind 0-3. We had the Game 6 Megabucks winner Boston 104-103 on the ‘Money Line’ -140 and as I expected it came down to the final buzzer and we were lucky enough to win outright while avoiding the non-cover favorite point spread loss. The position that I personally am in with the series bet +700 I should without a doubt take the points and cover my original action and have a 7.5-point middle or even take the Heat on the money line...but I just do not believe Miami is the winner. Now, while the betting public is taking them at a 3-to-1 clip I find it difficult to even play my middle. Instead I am going to let it ride (love that movie) because it has not happened in 150 other tries and because the money has been wrong every game this series. Aside from the final four minutes Jimmy Butler looked either hurt of too tired to carry this team any longer. Celtics are 9-3 ATS after an ATS loss. I never thought that I would have the favorite here, and I though that the Heat would come to play and make it a battle to the final whistle. But, now, with all the pressure on Miami we will see why they were seeded EIGHTH! Take BOSTON!  |
05-29-23 | Angels v. White Sox -128 | 6-4 | Loss | -128 | 11 h 37 m | Show
LA Angels at Chicago White Sox 8:10 ET White Sox over Angels- Baseball is such a long season and many of those who don’t perform well in April have time so set things right and so be it with Chicago’s starter Michael Kopech (3-4, 4.24 ERA) who had a 7.01 ERA in April and is 3-1 with a 1.99 ERA since. The impostor Angels will send righty Griffin Canning (3-2, 4.95) who defeated the White Sox in his only start against them in 2019. The Angels were shutout last time out and I would not be surprised if it happened again today. Take WHITE SOX! |
05-29-23 | Twins v. Astros -118 | 7-5 | Loss | -118 | 6 h 22 m | Show
Minnesota at Houston 4:10 ET Astros over Twins- Interesting pitching match-up here as Minnesota will send right-hander Sonny Gray (4-0, 1.82 ERA) to the hill and he has been outstanding this season but is just 4-4 in 11 career starts against Houston. The Astros will start rookie right-hander J.P. France (1-1, 3.43) and is making his first start against the Twins and has had three quality starts out of the four that he has made. Twinkies have dropped eight of their last 12 overall and are slipping fast in the AL Central. The Astros are 9-3 in their last 12 against right-handers and 7-2 in the last nine meetings. . Take HOUSTON! |
05-28-23 | Red Sox +110 v. Diamondbacks | Top | 2-4 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 6 m | Show |
Boston at Arizona 4;10 ET Red Sox over Diamondbacks-  Boston has won the first two games of this series as they have held Arizona to just three runs in 2-1 and 7-2 losses. Both of these clubs have played better than most expected and have shown decent profits for backers.Tanner Houck (3-3, 4.99 ERA) will get the start for the Red Sox and he has dropped three straight decisions after opening the season 3-0 and has not won since April 20 a span of six starts. The D’Backs send Merrill Kelly (5-3, 2.99) to the rubber who has won four straight decisions. The Red Sox have won 13 of 16 meetings and Arizona is 8-17 in 25 home inter-league games. Take BOSTON! |
05-27-23 | Celtics -142 v. Heat | Top | 104-103 | Win | 100 | 19 h 35 m | Show |
Boston at Miami 8:30 ET Celtics (-) over Heat- I said before I posted my NBA Game of Year winner in Game 5 with Boston I suggested that if they win Game 5 the series will go seven games. Now, the Celtics are favored on the road at Miami and the Heat return home with the pressure of the entire playoffs mounts as they do not want to have to return to Boston. The Celts are still in the we have nothing else to lose mode and that is dangerous. I am afraid of a gaff win by the Celtics but they are the side. Take BOSTON! |
05-27-23 | Cardinals v. Guardians +100 | Top | 2-1 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 33 m | Show |
St. Louis at Cleveland 7:10 ET Scalpers over Cardinals- Cleveland the defending AL Central Champions are struggling under .500 due to their lack of offensive output which is at 3.46 runs per game. These boys playing by the Erie are still alive because of a bullpen that is the fifth best in the majors allowing just 3.38 runs per nine innings. St. Louis also a Central Division Champion will start Jack Flaherty (3-4, 5.29 ERA) and he is 0-1 with a 5.00 ERA in nine innings against the former tribe. Rookie Tanner Bibee (1-1, 3.81) will get the nod for the home club and get the win here. Take CLEVELAND! |
05-27-23 | Giants +110 v. Brewers | 3-1 | Win | 110 | 7 h 53 m | Show
San Francisco at Milwaukee 4:10 ET Giants over Brewers- San Francisco is playing their best baseball of the season and have won nine of the past 11 including a pair of wins over the Brewers to start this series. Milwaukee who leads the NL Central by a half-game have dropped six of their last 10 overall and are 0-4 in their last four games against the NL West and the Giants have won 4-of-5 meetings. .The red-hot Jints are 8-1 in their last nine starts against right-handers. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
05-27-23 | Rangers +116 v. Orioles | 5-3 | Win | 116 | 7 h 2 m | Show
Texas at Baltimore 4:10 ET Rangers over Orioles- The AL West leading Rangers will start Andrew Heaney (3-3, 4.13 ERA) who is off his best outing of the season not allowing an earned run in six innings against Colorado. Texas has scored in double-digits more than any other MLB team and they will most likely need those runs as Heaney has a lifetime ERA of 9.51 going 1-3. The Orioles will, tart Dean Kremer (5-1, 4.61) who has struggled against the Rangers throwing to a 5.79 ERA. Rangers are 5-1 in last six road games and get it done here. take TEXAS! |
05-26-23 | Nationals v. Royals -113 | 12-10 | Loss | -113 | 9 h 11 m | Show
Washington at Kansas City 8:10 ET Royals over Nationals- Here is another game that ‘Don’t make sense’...Kansas City who aside from Oakland is just a triple-A team dressed in drag as an MLB impostor. The Royals will start right-hander Jordan Lyles (0-8, 7.15 ERA) who is 0-3 with a 5.71 ERA in 12 appearances against Washington and his ERA is the highest among starters and he has surrendered a MLB high 14 home runs. So, with one of the worst pitchers in baseball on the hill the Royals are favored. Smells fishy...take KANSAS CITY! |
05-26-23 | Padres -109 v. Yankees | Top | 5-1 | Win | 100 | 8 h 12 m | Show |
San Diego at New York Yankees 7:10 ET Padres over Yankees- I feel like there is something up with this game as in reality the Padres are favored in New York. We are talking about an underachieving San Diego then that was expected to give the West a run for their money but they have disappointed everyone with their play. The Yankees are 15-5 in their last 20 games but have dropped their last two and being an underdog at home makes no sense. The Padres will start Joe Musgrove (1-2, 6.75 ERA) who is facing the Yankees for the first time. New York will start Randy Vasquez who is making his MLB debut and was 1-5 with a 4.85 ERA in AAA ball. Take SAN DIEGO! |
05-26-23 | White Sox -136 v. Tigers | 12-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 56 m | Show
Chicago White Sox at Detroit 6:40 ET White Sox over Tigers- Chicago who was expect to contend for the AL Central title find themselves 10 games under .500 and still trail the division leader by only six game in the weakest division in MLB. The White Sox will start Lance Lynn (3-5, 6.28 ERA) who has had a pair of quality starts after a horrendous start to the season. He is 7-3 with a 3.39 ERA in 11 career starts against the Tigers who will start Joey Wentz (1-4, 7.45). Wentz has been routed in his last two starts and hasn’t made it out of the third inning. The White Sox who lost to Detroit yesterday are 4-0 after a loss while the Tigers are 2-6 following a win. Pale Hose 7-2 in their last nine games in the Motor City and 44-20 in the last 64 meetings overall. Take CHICAGO WHITE SOX! |
05-25-23 | Heat v. Celtics -8.5 | Top | 97-110 | Win | 100 | 19 h 21 m | Show |
Miami at Boston 8:30 ET Celtics (-) over Heat- All’s I can say is, if Boston wins here ...watch out! AM I thinking of the 2004 Red Sox who were down 3-0 to the Yankees and had just lost at home 19-3 and no one gave them a chance...they won and yes I have thoughts of that and they are not pleasant (Yankees fan). Knowing that 0-3 teams in NBA playoff series are 0-150 and after posting a Highest-Rated Megabucks winner with the Celtics I am coning right back with my strongest side of the season. The number is huge and Miami is catching most of the money and from what we have seen rightly so. But, other than the Game 4 line adjustment the odds maker makes the Celtics the same as Game 1. If the Celts have as much confidence in themselves as the odds makers..they win. Take BOSTON! |
05-25-23 | Mets v. Cubs -120 | Top | 10-1 | Loss | -120 | 18 h 1 m | Show |
New York Mets at Chicago Cubs 7:40 ET Cubs over Mets- Kyle Hendricks is making his first start of the season and he could not have picked a better mound opponent in the Mets Carlos Carrasco (0-2, 8.89 ERA) who has surrendered 19 hits and 18 runs in 18.2 innings. New York is 2-7 in their last nine road games against right-handers and 1-8 in the last nine against the NL Central. Mutts are also 9-24 in the last 33 meetings and 20-43 at Chicago...OVERKILL! Take CICAGO CUBS! |
05-24-23 | Astros v. Brewers -103 | Top | 0-4 | Win | 100 | 2 h 55 m | Show |
Houston at Milwaukee 1:10 ET Brewers over Astros- Houston had their eight game winning streak stopped yesterday as they were shutout after hitting five home runs on Monday in a 12-2 Megabucks win. Baseball is such an in and out game where teams go from one extreme to another such as going from being hot and on win streaks to ice cold. The Astros will send Brandon Bielak (1-1, 2.88 ERA) to the mound and the Brewers will use Adrian Houser (0-0, 3.07) Â who is 1-0 with a 1.42 ERA on two career appearances. The Brew Crew is 7-2 against the AL West and have dominated Houston at home 39-15 in the last 54 meetings. Take MILWAUKEE! |
05-23-23 | Celtics +2 v. Heat | Top | 116-99 | Win | 100 | 12 h 39 m | Show |
Boston at Miami 8:30 ET Celtics (+) over Heat- I know what I said about Miami having more ‘Mojo’ than Austin Powers and they went out and absolutely destroyed the Celtics in a Game 3 romp that put them ahead 3-0 in the series. So, at this point everyone is in shock and Boston doesn’t have a clue how to change things the media is killing their rookie coach and looking to dissect the club. At 0-3 no team in NBA history has ever come back (0-150) to win the series and I would image the Celtics down to a man are bewildered and embarrassed. That second thing going a long way among professionals and Boston is that. This time around the Heat are favored and maybe that might too much for them to carry. I always take points but this is do or die for the Celtics and winning the game is all that counts for them here on out. Oh...I can not believe it...take CELTIC PRIDE! |

05-23-23 | Mets v. Cubs +100 | Top | 2-7 | Win | 100 | 10 h 10 m | Show |
New York Mets at Chicago Cubs 7:40 ET Cubs over Mets- The Mets are starting to pay off for owner Steve Cohen who has a blank check when it comes to signings as they have won their last five games. New York had won just six of 22 games before their current winning streak started. Â Chicago opened the season 11-6 but have gone 9-20 since including dropping eight of their last 14 at home and they just completed a 2-7 road trip. Burt, the Cubs are going with Drew Smyly (4-1,2.86 ERA) and he is 2-0 with a 2.21 ERA in four career starts against the Mutts. Take the CUBS! |
05-23-23 | Blue Jays +125 v. Rays | 20-1 | Win | 125 | 9 h 54 m | Show
Toronto at Tampa Bay 6:40 ET Blue Jays over Rays- The Real Deal and the Impostor meet in Tampa here as the Rays defend home field wit the best record in the majors. Toronto is such a hoax and still continues to lose in their division and this season they are 5-13 versus the AL East. The Blue Jays will send out Jose Berrios (3-4, 4.61 ERA) who has the distinction of being the first pitcher the defeat the Rays when they started their torrid hot streak (13-0). Jays are 4-1 in the last five meetings. Take TORONTO! |
05-22-23 | Nuggets v. Lakers -3 | Top | 113-111 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 46 m | Show |
Denver at LA Lakers 8:30 ET Lakers (+) over Nuggets- Unlike Boston the LA Lakers did not quit in their Game 3 loss to Denver the issue with team is that they just were not and are not good enough. Yes, Denver is just better and has more depth along with better shooters. In Game e the Lakers actually had a 12-point lead at one point and a one-point lead with seven minutes to go before the Nuggets closed them out. No NBA team has ever comeback from a 3-0 deficit to win the series but to gain a win here is not out of the question. Take LA LAKERS! |
05-22-23 | Astros -112 v. Brewers | Top | 12-2 | Win | 100 | 10 h 13 m | Show |
Houston at Milwaukee 7:40 ET Astros over Brewers- What I see here is a Cy Young Award winner Corbin Burnes (3-2, 3.86 ERA) an underdog at home and tat rises questions. Burnes has been inconsistent at best and surrendered the most hits in any start this season, last time out giving up eight hits in six innings in a 3-0 loss to St. Louis. The Astros will start Cristian Javier (4-1, 3.25) and he has allowed just 39 hits in 53 innings pitched with 59 strikeouts. Astros are 6-1 in seven inter-league against right-handed starters. Take HOUSTON! |
05-22-23 | Blue Jays +100 v. Rays | 4-6 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 4 m | Show
Toronto at Tampa Bay 6:40 ET Blue Jays over Rays- Tampa bay has fallen...fallen to 20-games over .500 and are now 21-4 at home after a record start 18-1 start. Toronto who every year is thought to be a contender and end up pretenders will start former As and Mets starter Chris Bassitt (5-2, 3.05 ERA) who is having one of his better seasons. Tampa Bay who has seen its mojo slip of late will start Trevor Kelly (0-1, 7.50) who longest outing has been just two innings and he has just six inning of work on the year. The Blue Jays are 4-1 versus the Rays in the last five meetings. Take TORONTO!  |
05-21-23 | Celtics v. Heat +3.5 | Top | 102-128 | Win | 100 | 21 h 32 m | Show |
Boston at Miami 8:30 ET Heat (+) over Celtics- The hits just keep comes if you dare to pay against the Heat team as their ‘Mojo’ is stronger than Austin Powers. Now, they are at home and are underdogs again to a team that just does not seem to be in sync. as a matter of fact Boston looks like all the other playoff teams that had to plat Miami. The Heat had to beat the Bulls after losing a play-in game to Atlanta and then the let Milwaukee win one game and the Knicks a pair and now Boston who may not win one game. But, Karma, is hard to overcome and if the Celtics pull it off here... Take MIAMI! |
05-21-23 | Dodgers v. Cardinals +140 | 5-10 | Win | 140 | 5 h 39 m | Show
LA Dodgers at St. Louis 2:15 ET Cardinals over Dodgers- It took 34 games for St. Louis to post 10 wins and they have since turned things around and now they have won ten games out of 13. Jack Flaherty (3-4, 5.24 ERA) finally showed his previous form after a rocky start to the season. Los Angeles will go with future Hal of Fame lefty Clayton Kershaw (6-3, 2.41) who also has regain his form but is up against a team that is 10-4 at home against left-handed starters and the Dodgers are 1-6 in their last seven road games against  right-handed starters. Take ST.LOUIS! |
05-21-23 | Brewers +130 v. Rays | 6-4 | Win | 130 | 4 h 5 m | Show
Milwaukee at Tampa Bay 1:40 ET Brewers over Rays-Â The Tampa bay road has hit some speed bumps of late as they have cooled of a bit after their record setting start but they are still 21-3 at home. Milwaukee has had some trouble scoring runs at times but are 9-3 in 12 inter-league games against left-handers and are 23-10 in their last 33 inter-league games. The Rays have won just three of the last 10 meetings and fall short here. Take MILWAUKEE! |
05-21-23 | Cubs v. Phillies -107 | 1-2 | Win | 100 | 4 h 3 m | Show
Chicago Cubs at Philadelphia 1:35 ET Phillies over Cubs- Baseball is a game of streaks and Philadelphia is not playing unless they are streaking one way or another. Chicago will start left-hander Justin Steel (6-1, 2.44 ERA) who is streaking on his own. Steele opened the year with 14 straight starts allowing two runs or fewer but has hit a sang in his last two starts. Like I had said about the Phillies, they had a 4-game winning streak, then a six game losing streak, followed by five wins and then five losses before Saturday’s win. So, it is a new winning streak that they started. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
05-19-23 | Marlins v. Giants -113 | Top | 3-4 | Win | 100 | 11 h 20 m | Show |
Miami at San Francisco 10:15 ET Giants over Marlins- A pair of clubs that for the most part are considered also-rans this season have the current MLB longest win streak with the Marlins having won their last three and so have the Giants. Miami will start Cy Young winner Sandy Alacantra (1-4, 4.91 ERA) who is having a tougher time this season and he is 1-2 lifetime against San Fran. Anthony DeSclafani (3-3, 3.06) who make his MLB debut with Miami is 2-2 with a 2.47 ERA in six career starts against his former team. Giants are 9-3 in last 12 versus Marlins in last 12 games as hosts. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
05-19-23 | Red Sox v. Padres -137 | 6-1 | Loss | -137 | 10 h 29 m | Show
Boston at San Diego 9:40 ET Padres over Red Sox- San Diego ($-1,222 )be it baseball or even football seems to be a city with a pair of over-rated professional teams that the public loves and the player gets crushed. The Padres will be without Manny Machado and will start veteran Blake Snell (1-5, 4.61 ERA) while Boston will counter with James Paxton (0-0, 3.60) In 12 career starts against the Red Sox Snell is 7-3, 2.59 ERA. Take SAN DIEGO! |
05-19-23 | Heat v. Celtics -8.5 | 111-105 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 6 m | Show
Miami at Boston 8;30 ET Celtics (-) over Heat- The moment Game 1 ended I said aloud to anyone that would listen that I will not play against this team (Miami) again as they just have the right kind of mojo that teams ride out to championships. I was a serious as I could be...then I started to recall some history. I know that it was not Indians or the Guardians for that matter that threw the tea overboard as it was the Knicks that defeated the Heat in Game 2 after a home loss in Game 1. And it was Boston with a win over Philadelphia after a Game 1 home loss. As a matter of fact the Game 1 home loser is 20-1 ATS or something very similar to Game 2. Honest, the number is ridiculous and it is like 6-0 this season post season alone. Hate it but must lay-it. Take BOSTON! |
05-18-23 | Lakers v. Nuggets -5.5 | Top | 103-108 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 37 m | Show |
LA Lakers at Denver 8:30 ET Nuggets (-) over Lakers- The Lakers shot 67% in the second half come back in Game One and stole the money in a game that they were never in until Jokic stopped playing after the third quarter. So, that left many with the impression that the Lakers are ready for Game Two and the Zig-zag people will come wit the Game One outright loser and I don’t see it that way. To me, LA was the winner as they got the money and tonight they fall short. The Lakers are 4-10-1 ATS in their last 15 trips to the Mile High City and the Nuggets are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games as hosts overall. Take DENVER! |
05-18-23 | Dodgers v. Cardinals +145 | 8-16 | Win | 145 | 9 h 58 m | Show
LA Dodgers at St. Louis 7:45 ET Cardinals over Dodgers- The Dodgers current hot streak of winning 15 of 18 started with a 3-game sweep of St. Louis at the end of April. The Cardinals were off to their worst start (10-24) since the early 1900’s but have won eight of their last 10. LA will start Julio Urias (5-3, 3.61 ERA) who has pitched just one inning against the Cardinals and that was in 2018. St, Louis will start Adam Wainwright (0-0, 7.20) who is making his third start of the season. In 16 career starts Wainwright is 7-6 with a 2.79 ERA in 19 appearances and 16 starts. Cards are 41-18 in their last 59 starts against left-handed starters.Take ST. LOUIS! |
05-17-23 | Heat v. Celtics -7.5 | Top | 123-116 | Loss | -115 | 17 h 12 m | Show |
Miami at Boston 8:30 ET Celtics (-) over Heat- Boston who once again is a heavy favorite for the series and of course Game 1 and once again we have eighth-seeded Miami the working man’s underdog survivor surprising everyone. The Celtics do not want to start this series as they did the last because a loss off the top to this clubs will only give them more confidence and put added pressure on them selves. Jimmy Butler has been a force to contend with and Bam Adebayo is no slough. but, the Celtics focus will run as deep as their talent. These two split four games this season each winning a pair on their home floor. The Celts are 10-4 ATS in last 14 home games and 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games against teams with winning records. Take BOSTON! |
05-17-23 | Guardians v. White Sox -127 | 2-7 | Win | 100 | 10 h 51 m | Show
Cleveland at Chicago White Sox 8:10 ET White Sox over Erie Lakers- Both of these clubs are just killing their backers as Cleveland at 19-22 was an early favorite to win the Division with the White Sox adding competition. But, Chicago is already minus $1,286 and the Watch dogs minus $947. There is good reason they are where they are and it is because they have one thing in common. It is a No. 29 ranking and for the visitor it is runs scored per game 3.96 and for the White Sox it is their pitching with  5.986 ERA. That is sort of a wash but the Sox are beginning to show signs of life and the Cleveland starter is a putrid 0-4 and can not win here. Take CHICAGO WHITE SOX! |
05-17-23 | Rays v. Mets -116 | 7-8 | Win | 100 | 9 h 58 m | Show
Tampa Bay at New York Mets 7:10 ET Mets over Rays- Oh no not again...these guys are so over-rated as the spend and win at all cost Mets are floundering below .500 and sinking deeper day by day.New York saw their best hurler get knocked aground by Tampa bay and what makes anyone think they will not have their way with whoever New York throws at them. But the Mutts are starting a complete stranger in Kodai Senga (4-2. 4.14 ERA) their 30-year old rookie from Japan. Rays sending sacrificial lamb Josh Fleming to the wolves and the locals will take advantage. take NEW YORK METS! |
05-16-23 | Phillies -111 v. Giants | 3-4 | Loss | -111 | 10 h 49 m | Show
Philadelphia at San Francisco 9:45 ET Phillies over Giants- Philadelphia is hoping to stretch and claw their way back into the NL race but have dropped their last two game after a five-game winning streak ended by going 0-22 with runners in scoring position the past two games. The Phillies will hand the ball to their most consistent starter Zack Wheeler (3-2, 3.80 ERA) who is 2-2 with a 3.54 ERA lifetime in eight starts against the Giants. San Fran will start Alex Cobb (3-1, 1.70) who has the lowest ERA in the NL among starting pitchers. Phillies are 7-3 against reams with losing records and the Giants are 1-6 in their last seven starts against right handed throwers. Take PHILADELPHIA! |
05-16-23 | Lakers +6.5 v. Nuggets | Top | 126-132 | Win | 100 | 24 h 34 m | Show |
LA Lakers at Denver 8:30 ET Lakers (+) over Nuggets- I find it so difficult to play against Denver as they are that good and so under-rated. Last year Jamal Murray was out and the Nuggets fell short. This year with a healthy Murray they look like the team to beat. LA well, what is there to say other than that if AD and LeBron can work together as they have, their inside game is tough to to beat.Think of all the Finals experience James has and then realize Denver has never been to the NBA Finals. The Nuggets have had their way against LA as hosts going 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven. But, this one will be close at the final buzzer. Take the LA LAKERS! |
05-16-23 | Guardians v. White Sox +108 | 3-8 | Win | 108 | 8 h 7 m | Show
Cleveland at Chicago White Sox 8:10 ET White Sox over Watch Dogs- The White Sox who were expected to contend for the AL Central find themselves 14-games under .500 with little offensive output. Cleveland is to start Shane Bieber (3-1, 2.61 ERA) who has made 17 starts against Chicago and is 8-4 with a 2.64 ERA while The White Sox will go with Lance Lynn (1-5, 7.51. Lynn needs to turn it around in a hurry as he has allowed 11 home runs in just 44 innings after posting 10 of 11 winning seasons. Cleveland is just 3-7 following a win and are 1-4 on the road while the White Sox are 5-2 following a loss. Take WHITE SOX! |
05-16-23 | Rays v. Mets -151 | Top | 8-5 | Loss | -151 | 7 h 25 m | Show |
Tampa Bay at New York Mets 7:10 ET Mets over Rays- New York has struggled against the dregs of baseball going just 4-9 in their last 13 games, all against sub .500 teams. Tampa Bay of course has the best record in MLB and just split a four-game series against the Yankees. The Rays will send left-hander Jalen Beeks (1-2, 5.40 ERA) to the mound who has not pitched more than two innings in any of his 10 appearances. The Mets will start Justin Verlander (1-1, 2.25) who in making his home debut for New York. The Muts as they are being called in New York are 55-27 in their last 82 games following a loss and with this price being as high as it is makes me believe the Mets are good here tonight. Take NEW YORK METS! |
05-15-23 | Twins +107 v. Dodgers | 8-9 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 8 m | Show
Minnesota at LA Dodgers 10:00 ET Twins over Dodgers- Minnesota is leading the AL Central and is playing their third straight series against NL teams having won the home series against the Padres and Cubs scoring a record 29 runs in the three-game series. The Twins will start Pablo Lopez (2-2, 3.47 ERA) and he is 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA against the Dodgers and LA will start former hard thrower Noah Syndergaard (1-3, 6.12) who has seen better days. LA is off a 3-game sweep of SoCal rival San Diego and will be caught resting on their laurels. Take MINNESOTA! |
05-15-23 | Reds -118 v. Rockies | 8-9 | Loss | -118 | 9 h 44 m | Show
Cincinnati at Colorado 8:40 ET Reds over Rockies- What draws me to this side is that a sub-500 team is favored on the road with a win-less pitcher. Hunter green (0-3, 3.69 ERA) gets the start for the Redlegs and he has lost his only career start against the Rockies allowing four runs and six hits in four innings walking four. Colorado will send Connor Seabold (1-0, 4.56) who is 27 years old and won his first MLB decision against the Pirates last Tuesday. The Reds are 4-1 in their last five following a loss while the Rockies are 3-10 at home against a team with a losing record.Take CINCINNATI! |
05-15-23 | Brewers v. Cardinals +106 | Top | 1-18 | Win | 106 | 8 h 55 m | Show |
Milwaukee at St. Louis 7:45 ET Cardinals over Brewers- After their worst start since 1940 St. Louis has now won six of seven and I expect that positive momentum to continue today as Jack Flaherty (2-4, 6.18 ERA) takes the hill. Flaherty who is 3-7 with a 4.92 ERA against the Brewers is off to a horrid start to the season. Milwaukee will start Freddy Peralta (4-2, 3.32) who has had three straight quality starts but is just 3-4 with a 5.94 ERA in 13 career appearances. The Brewers are 1-5 in their last six road games wile the Cardinals are 6-1 in their last seven overall. Red Bird have turned it around and continue to win. Take ST. LOUIS! |
05-14-23 | Cardinals -120 v. Red Sox | Top | 9-1 | Win | 100 | 16 h 20 m | Show |
St. Louis at Boston 7:10 ET Cardinals over Red Sox- Who said that they were the Dead-Birds? It was not me or was it, oh yeah the Cardinals came to life in the ninth inning Saturday to ruin my free podcast play of the Red Sux. You know what I am thinking...I believe St. Louis has come to life after a horrid start (10-24) but have won five of six this week. In baseball when a team is hot they are hot and it does not matter who is pitching Miles Mikolas (1-1, 5.40 ERA) or who is out. Boston knows about streaks as they just had a seven game win streak but have now lost four of five. The Red Sox will send out Cory Kluber (2-4, 6.29) who has seen better days and should be seed for the Red Birds. and Blo-sux are 0-7 in inter-league play at home. Take ST. LOUIS!  |
05-14-23 | 76ers +6.5 v. Celtics | Top | 88-112 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 35 m | Show |
Philadelphia at Boston 3:30 ET Celtics (- ) over 76ers- All year long I insisted that Joel Embiid deserved the MVP and was glad to see him win it but at the same time I was saying that I thought the Celtics were the beat team I saw this season. So, you see where I’m coming from...the 76ers have a history of not winning when put in this position and James Harden, well when does he show up. The thing here is that both The Beard and Joel can have great nights and they can still get beat. The skeptics will once again be after Doc Rivers throat because the Celtics are 10-3 ATS against teams with winning records and 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings with the Sixers. Take BOSTON! |
05-14-23 | Astros v. White Sox +119 | 4-3 | Loss | -100 | 11 h 24 m | Show
Houston at Chicago White Sox 2:20 ET White Sox over Astros- I know that the White Sox are not so hot but all teams run hot and cold and as far as Houston is concerned they are just hanging around until their biggest of all their players returns form a figure injury. I have watched the Astros and they don’t seem to be playing with the usually intensity. It will return when Altuve gets back and till then fade these guys. Take WHITE SOX! |
05-13-23 | Astros v. White Sox -115 | Top | 1-3 | Win | 100 | 8 h 43 m | Show |
Houston at Chicago White Sox 7:15 ET White Sox over Astros- The White Sox have been the biggest disappointment in all of LMB action this season as they are already 14 games under .500 and a minus -1,398 on simple one hundred dollar wagers per game. Chicago will start Dylan Cease (2-2, 5.59 ERA) who has struggled against Houston going 0-3 with a 5.15 ERA. Houston will start Brandon Bielak (0-1, 4.15) who is making just his second start in three seasons. Take WHITE SOX! |
05-13-23 | Braves v. Blue Jays -120 | 2-5 | Win | 100 | 3 h 18 m | Show
Atlanta at Toronto 3:05 ET Blue Jays over Braves- Many believe that these tow could possible meet in the World Series but I just do not see Toronto as having what it takes to win.Pitching has been their weak spot and today they will start the big addition to their hopes and Jose Berrios (3-3, 4.91 ERA) is expected to help the staff. Atlanta will start Bryce Elder (3-0, 1.74) who has not allowed runs in four of his seven starts but today falters. Take BLUE JAYS! |
