12-29-18 | Nevada -9 v. Utah | 86-71 | Win | 100 | 14 h 42 m | Show
Nevada at Utah 2:00 ET 4* Wolf Pack (-) over Utes- Boy, are the days of Keith Van Horn over or what...I mean the Utes a double-digit or thereabouts at home against a conference Mountain West foe. A huge comedown for a Pac-12 power. Utah has upped the record to 6-5 by winning their last two against Florida Atlantic and Northern Arizona but has bad losses to Kentucky, BYU, Northwestern, Hawaii and Minnesota. It's a down year for Utah and they will be up against one of the best Nevada-Reno teams ever put together. It;s not just their 12-0 start as they have met every challenge a with win over Arizona State. Utes 5-0 Su at home against inferior opponents and just 2-3 ATS. Take NEVADA! |
12-29-18 | Florida v. Michigan -5.5 | 41-15 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 1 m | Show
Chip's Guaranteed 'Top-Rated' Peach Bowl (Mich/FL) Michigan vs Florida 12:00 ET Wolverines (-) over Gators- Many though Michigan was back among the 'elite' this season took a step in the wrong direction in their opener against Notre Dame and their crushing 62-39 defeat to Ohio State closing their season at 10-2. The 10 wins between losses were very impressive and the Wolves have had five full weeks to lick their wounds. Florida brings an offense that had over 500 yards in each of their last three games but will face a stop crew which is tops in the nation in total defense allowing just 262.5 yards per contest which includes surrendering 550 to the Buckeyes. These two have met twice in the past two seasons with Michigan winning and covering both and are 4-0 SU and ATS in the last four meetings. Take MICHIGAN! |
12-28-18 | Spurs +4 v. Nuggets | 99-102 | Win | 100 | 10 h 5 m | Show
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NBA 'Top-Rated' Megabucks Game San Antonio at Denver 9:00 ET Spurs (+) order Nuggets- The Spurs are playing with plenty of confidence as they have won 8-of-10 after a slow start and have scored 110 or more points in all eight wins. The first place Nuggets have dropped their last two and this is the second of back-to-back games as San Antonio won at home 111-103 using a 15-0 fourth quarter spurt to seal the victory. Although Denver is 7-0 ATS in their last seven home games they are just 7-20 ATS in the last 27 games at home and the Spurs are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
12-28-18 | Iowa State +3 v. Washington State | 26-28 | Win | 100 | 20 h 16 m | Show
Iowa State at Washington State 9:00 ET Cyclones (+) over over Cougars- After a fabulous regular season both straight-up (10-2) and ATS Washington State closed the year against rival Washington and were completely exposed. The Cougars had visions of the Rose Bowl right and front of them and they failed miserably getting out-gained by over 250 yards. The disappointment of missing out on a bowl with more stature will linger with Washington State. The Cougars averaged 38.3 points per game but will be up against the top-ranked defense in the Big-12 and Iowa State had to play a number of high-powered offense in conference play. Playing against a one- dimensional offense that was second to last (129th) in FBS rushing. Take IOWA STATE! |
12-28-18 | Mavs +4.5 v. Pelicans | 112-114 | Win | 100 | 9 h 11 m | Show
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NBA 'Top-Rated' Power Play Dallas at New Orleans 8:00 ET Mavericks (+) over Pelicans- Dallas just ended a six-game losing steak with a 122-119 home win over New Orleans Wednesday as this is the second of back-to-back contests. The Pelicans return home having lost their last five games and believe it or nor are 0-6 ATS on Fridays. The Pels are 11-5 straight-up at home including a 132-106 on December 5, but are just 8-8 ATS as hosts while the Mavericks are just 2-14 SU on the road but 7-9 ATS. New Orleans plays close losing 13 of their last 18 by a total just 19 points. Take DALLAS! |
12-28-18 | Bulls +5.5 v. Wizards | Top | 101-92 | Win | 100 | 8 h 17 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NBA 'Highest-Rated' Money Game Chicago at Washington 7:00 ET Bulls (+) over Wizards- The NBA doesn't mind these games between the leagues worst teams because one of these guys is forced no matter how bad they play to pick-up a win. Chicago is a young team that is looking to bet better on a daily basis whereas Washington is just a bunch of huge egos that just go through the motions half the time. The Wizards won 2-of-3 meetings last season but Chicago is 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Washington and 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall. The Bulls will have an added boost as Zach LaVine returns and Chicago has more heart and will desire and wins here. Take the BULLS! |
12-28-18 | Syracuse v. West Virginia +3 | Top | 34-18 | Loss | -115 | 17 h 32 m | Show |
West Virginia vs Syracuse 5:15 ET Mountaineers over Orange- West Virginia at one time was ranked in the Top-10 but as they do often they collapsed at the end of the season losing their final two games to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. The Mountaineers open as a virtual touchdown favorite but that changed drastic when quarterback Will Grier and their starting left tackle decided to abandon their teammates a save their soon to be pitiful careers. Syracuse won five of their final six games with that loss showing just who they really are as Notre Dame (Game of Year winner) crushed to Orange like they were making juice 36-3. West Virginia has had four weeks to prep and coach Dana Holgorsen says his playbook will be wide open as he uses two quarterbacks Jack Allison and Trey Lowe III. That will leave the Syracuse defense a bit confused. Look for the Mountaineers to suck it up and win here. The underdog is 4-1 ATS in the that five meetings. Take WEST VIRGINIA! |
12-28-18 | Auburn -3.5 v. Purdue | 63-14 | Win | 100 | 13 h 46 m | Show
Purdue vs Auburn 1:30 ET Boilermakers Tigers- Auburn who started the season with an upset win over Washington closed the year with their worst loss of the campaign losing to bitter rival Alabama 52-21. Purdue has come a long way but needs to win here to secure their first winning season since 2006-07. The Boilermakers are a virtual one-man team who are led by 5-9 Rondale Moore who finished the season with 2,048 all-purpose yards. The Tigers will counter with a stellar defense and quarterback Jason Stidham who will play despite already declaring for the NFL Draft. Auburn allowed less than 20-points per contest and will overpower Purdue. Take AUBURN! |
12-27-18 | Vanderbilt v. Baylor +4 | 38-45 | Win | 100 | 24 h 12 m | Show
Chip's Guaranteed 'Top-Rated' Texas Bowl Baylor vs. Vanderbilt 9:00 ET Bears (+) over Commodores- Vanderbilt enters this contest winning 3-of-4 while closing the season 5-0 ATS while Baylor took down Texas Tech 35-24 to qualify. Although these two clubs are both 6-6 the Commodores have a distinct statistical advantage but the Bears have one important intangibles, the Bears lead the nation in blocked kicks (seven) and most important this game is being played in Houston and the support for Baylor will be huge and they will be playing for the 'states' honor. Baylor needs turnover edge and gets it with inspired defense. Take BAYLOR! |
12-27-18 | Miami-FL -2.5 v. Wisconsin | Top | 3-35 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 36 m | Show |
Chip's Guaranteed 'Highest-Rated' Pin Stripe Bowl Miami vs Wisconsin 5:15 ET Hurricanes (-) over Badgers- Both these clubs were major disappointments not only to their fans but to their 'backers' as well. Miami was sitting pretty the first week of October at 5-1 and then dropped their next four until closing with a pair of easy wins over Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh going 2-4 ATS on the road. That same week Wisconsin was 5-1 and then went 3-4 the rest of the way but just 3-9 ATS. This is a rematch of lasts year's Orange Bowl when Wisconsin won outright in Miami 34-24 . The Hurricanes are just 1-7 in their last eight bowl games and it seems a bit strange for them to be favored here. I figure 'speed kills' and the Canes have plenty of it and may leave the lead footed Badgers holding their jocks. The Badgers just haven't had it this season. Take MIAMI! |
12-27-18 | Duke v. Temple -3 | 56-27 | Loss | -110 | 17 h 32 m | Show
Chip's Guaranteed 'Top-Rated' Independence Bowl Temple at Duke 1:30 ET Owls (-) over Blue Devils- Most of the people I speak with whose opinions I respect seem to think that Duke will bounce back from their final two losses to Clemson and Wake Forest, but they were outscored 94-13. After opening the season with outright losses to Villanova 19-17 and Buffalo 36-29 (we didn't realize how good the Bulls would turn out) they have won 8-of-10 and three straight entering this fray. The Blue Devils have been a winner on the post season going 3-1 straight-up and 4-0 ATS in their last four bowls while the Owls will have a new coach to work under after Geoff Collins left for Georgia Tech. There is something about Temple being favored here that makes me wonder why. Take TEMPLE! |
12-26-18 | Nuggets +4 v. Spurs | Top | 103-111 | Loss | -103 | 9 h 7 m | Show |
Denver at San Antonio 8:30 ET Nuggets (+) over Spurs- The Nuggets have emerged as one of the better teams in the NBA West with the Conferences best record at 21-10 and are coming off a132-111 beating at the hands of the L.A. Clippers. Now, although Denver has lost 11 straight times in San Antonio I expect them to rebound here (notice how I worked the rebound in) and play the over-rated Spurs tough. The Spurs had put together a decent spurt winning seven of eight before their loss at Houston Saturday night but, I am just not so I'm pressed with the Spurs team make-up. The coaching may be the same but the personnel is not...take DENVER! |
12-26-18 | Pelicans +2.5 v. Mavs | 119-122 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 51 m | Show
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NBA 'Top-Rated' Money Game New Orleans at Dallas 8:30 ET Pelicans (+) over Mavericks- Dallas who has been so good to 'us' this season buts has lost six straight while their opponent tonight the Pelicans have lost their last four. New Orleans has been in almost every game during their losing streak losing by one, three, four and five points going 1-3 ATS. They are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games when playing on two days rest and are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings including a dominating 132-106 win in the Smoothie Center. Mavericks outstanding point guard Dennis Smith Jr. has missed nine of the last 10 days and when he's out Dallas has trouble filling the void. Take NEW ORLEANS! |
12-26-18 | Wizards +5 v. Pistons | 95-106 | Loss | -104 | 7 h 29 m | Show
Washington at Detroit 7:00 ET Wizards (+) over Pistons- The Pistons were off to great start at 13-7 and it looked like new head coach Dwayne Casey was performing some of his Coach of the Year abilities. But, Detroit has dropped nine of their last 11 games including a home loss to Atlanta. Washington we all should know in falling apart daily as they are just 4-15 on the road both SU and ATS and are reshaping their roster on a weekly basis. Both these clubs have player personalities issues but the Wizards are 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings. Take WASHINGTON! |
12-26-18 | Minnesota +6 v. Georgia Tech | Top | 34-10 | Win | 100 | 30 h 8 m | Show |
Minnesota vs. Georgia Tech 5:15 ET Golden Gophers (+) over Yellow Jackets- The storyline here will surround the fact that Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson has stepped down and will be on the sideline for the final time with the Yellow Jackets. Johnson's triple-option has been among the NCAA rushing leaders perennially and as usual his team got better as the season wore on winning six of their last seven. Minnesota also needed a late push winning three of their final five to become bowl eligible including a final season 37-15 victory over Wisconsin. Although Minnesota will be with two outstanding defensive players they will overcome Tech's sudden attitude with the departure of Johnson. Take MINNESOTA! |
12-25-18 | Blazers +6.5 v. Jazz | 96-117 | Loss | -105 | 24 h 19 m | Show
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NBA 'Top-Rated' Power Play Portland at Utah 10:30 ET Trailblazers (+) over Jazz- Four days ago on Friday night the Jazz handed Portland their worst home loss is fifteen years as they knocked down 16-of-31 3-point attempts. That is the sole loss in the last five games for the Blazers who defeated the Mavericks 121-118 in overtime Sunday. If not for the revenge factor I might down grade this play as Portland ai 1-7 ATS in their last eight road games and they are just 1-4 ATS in their last five visits to Utah. Still, this is a spot fore incentive. Take PORTLAND! |
12-25-18 | 76ers +4 v. Celtics | Top | 114-121 | Loss | -102 | 19 h 27 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NBA 'Highest-Rated' Megabucks Philadelphia at Boston 5:30 ET 76ers (+) over Celtics- Although tBoston beat me or shall I say 'us' up pretty good their last time out I just don't think the Celtics have 'it' this season. Granted, they now have Gordon Hayward full time but he hasn't been able mesh in the way the brass had hoped. Philadelphia has some meshing issues of their own with the addition of Jimmy Butler and sometimes they might need two basketballs on offense. This is a series in which the Celtics have had the upper hand going 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings and are 4-0 the last for meetings in Boston including opening night a 105-87 Celtics romp. The Sixers have struggled on the road going 6-9 SU and 5-10 ATS while Boston at home is a mirror image at 10-5 SU and 9-6 ATS. But, I believe that Joel Embiid wants to make Christmas Day his persona showcase...take PHILADELPHIA! |
12-25-18 | Thunder +1.5 v. Rockets | 109-113 | Loss | -106 | 17 h 3 m | Show
Oklahoma City at Houston 3:00 ET Thunder (+) over Rockets- Oh how 'we' loved the Rockets at -6 against the Spurs Saturday night and they posted a 108-101 victory for 'us.' Now, after posting their first win of the season without Chris Paul (1-5) in the lineup and having won six of their last seven the are less than a field goal favorite. Oklahoma City had won four in-a-row until Sunday a 114-112 home loss to Minnesota but are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings against Houston. This line is telling me that the Rockets are in trouble. Take OKLAHOMA CITY! |
12-24-18 | Broncos v. Raiders +3 | Top | 14-27 | Win | 100 | 10 h 29 m | Show |
Denver at Oakland 8:15 ET Raiders (+) over Broncos- What a paradox as a team as 'dark and sinister' as the Raiders who will host this game in the 'Black Hole' on Christmas Eve. Oakland is in the running for the worst NFL record and the first draft pick and will be moving to Las Vegas (Stadium issues) but most likely will play next season in San Francisco. After rising up at home and defeating Pittsburgh the Raiders reverted back to form and were taken out 30-14 in Cincinnati last week. Denver meanwhile has dropped their last two to fall out of the AFC wild card hunt and will most likely end up in the middle of the pack. The home team is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings and gets it done here. Take OAKLAND! |
12-23-18 | Chiefs v. Seahawks +2.5 | 31-38 | Win | 100 | 25 h 7 m | Show
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NFL Power Play Winner Kansas City at Seattle 8:20 ET Seahawks (+) over Chiefs- Both these clubs had a shot at clinching a playoff spot last week but failed as the Seahawks went down to the Niners and the Chiefs were handled by San Diego. Kansas City may be 11-3 but they have struggled of late and I believe the absence of Karim Hunt has taken more out of them than most realize as they are 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven contests. They still lead the league in total yards behind Mahomes 4,543 passing yards and of course 45 tD passes. Seattle definitely was caught in a look-ahead position last week and will be more focused at home against the Chiefs. Seattle is 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games on field turf while KC is 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings. I know the Seahawks have their limitations but I also know they will be well prepared. Seahawks 4-1-1 ATS at home and win here. Take SEATTLE! |
12-23-18 | Bulls +1 v. Cavs | Top | 112-92 | Win | 100 | 7 h 9 m | Show |
Chicago at Cleveland 6:00 ET Bulls (+) over Cavaliers- These two clubs have are virtual mirror imagine of each other as they both share the NBA's worst record at 8-25 with the exact same home (5-12) and road records (3-12). It doesn't stop there as both clubs have lost seven of their last 10 and have little hope of much improvement this season. Chicago for some odd reason (considering LeBron played with the Cavaliers) is 26-9 ATS in the last 35 meetings including 17-4 ATS in Cleveland. The beat-goes-on...take CHICAGO! |
12-23-18 | Pelicans v. Kings +1 | 117-122 | Win | 100 | 7 h 3 m | Show
New Orleans at Sacramento 6:00 ET Kings (+) over Pelicans- New Orleans has become the 'mystery' team of the NBA with the likes of one of the most dominant players in the league in Anthony Davis as they started the year like a ball on fire even defeating the Kings 149-129 at the Smoothy Center the first week of the season. But, things have taken a negative turn as the Pelicans have lost 11 of their last 16 including losses in their last three games. Although New Orleans is 6-0 ATS in their games following an ATS loss but are just 8-18-1 ATS in the last 27 meetings in Sacramento. The Kings might again be without Marvin Bagley III allowing Buddy Hield to picked up the slack. Take SACRAMENTO! |
12-23-18 | Hornets +7 v. Celtics | 103-119 | Loss | -107 | 7 h 56 m | Show
Charlotte at Boston 6:00 ET Hornets (+) over Celtics- What a joke, Kyrie Irving is complaining that there is 'some selfish play out there and they need to share the ball more...' Boston has lost three in-a-row and at 18-13 seems to have misplaced their 'mojo.' Charlotte is just 4-8 SU on the road but as respectable 7-5 ATS but have had problems against the Celtics as they are 1-6-1 ATS in the last eight meetings including 0-3-1 ATS in the last four meetings in Boston. But, the Celtics who started Gordon Hayward for the first time in a month last time out as he went 3-13 from the floor are just 1-7 ATS in their last eight games against teams with winning records. Hornets qualify barley at 16-15! Take CHARLOTTE! |
12-23-18 | Bears v. 49ers +5 | Top | 14-9 | Push | 0 | 21 h 3 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NFC 'Highest-Rated' Megabucks Chicago at San Francisco 4:05 ET 49ers (+) over Bears- Having used the Niners last week as a Power Play Best Bet 'outright' winner over Seattle I have no problems coming back with them this week. The Bears are in the same position as a number of others that have failed in the same situation, the week after they have clinched a playoff spot (Rams, Saints, and Chiefs) they all were beaten and I expect the same to happen here. If a team isn't ready mentally it doesn't matter who they put out on the field and coming off a win against Aaron Rogers doesn't help. Chicago is 1-4 ATS in their last five games in San Francisco and this season all four of the Niners wins came at home. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
12-23-18 | Bucs +7.5 v. Cowboys | 20-27 | Win | 100 | 18 h 22 m | Show
Tampa Bay at Dallas 1:00 ET Buccaneers (+) over Cowboys- Dallas had reeled off five straight wins before being annihilated 23-0 at Indianapolis last week and they joined two other clubs that failed in their bid to clinch. Tampa Bay has dropped their last two after winning the previous two and are 4-1 ATS on the road in their series. But, make no mistake the Cowboys own all the trends 11-1 SU at home against the Bucs, they have the fourth ranked scoring defense while Tampa Bay's defense is 30th. Jameis Winston had a career low 157 passing yards last week without a touchdown his worst career performance start to finish. Tampa Bay is 3-3-1 ATS on the road and I give them more then a fair chance to get the money here. Take TAMPA BAY! |
12-23-18 | Jaguars +4 v. Dolphins | 17-7 | Win | 100 | 18 h 14 m | Show
Jacksonville at Miami 1:00 ET Jaguars (+) over Dolphins- At 7-7 the Dolphins are still alive in the AFC wild card hunt and they get to host the reeling Jaguars who are 1-5 SU and 1-4-1 ATS on the road. But, my first thoughts are 'who will be quarterbacking who? Miami should start Ryan Tannehill who was sacked nine times last week in Minnesota but Jacksonville didn't have a quarterback when Blake Bortles was starting anyway. The Jaguars have gone with Cody Kessler and have scored 13, 9 and 6 points in their last three games yet the Dolphins are a meager favorite and they are 1-9 SU in their last 10. Miami is 6-1 SU and ATS at home and this number is way too low no matter who is quarterbacking. Take JACKSONVILLE! |
12-23-18 | Vikings v. Lions +7 | 27-9 | Loss | -135 | 18 h 6 m | Show
Chip's 'Guaranteed' Money Game Winner Minnesota at Detroit 1:00 ET Lions (+) over Vikings- Although Chicago has clinched the division the disappointing Vikings at 7-6-1 are very much alive in the NFC Wild Card hunt with a half-game lead for the final spot. There is no question what Minnesota's game plan will be as they record 10 sacks against the Lions on Nov. 4 and nine last week against Miami. Detroit of course will look to get the ball out of Matt Stafford's hand as quickly as possible. Often the trouble with that for the Lions is that Stafford sometimes will just 'bail' and throw up 'jump balls.' The inconsistent Vikes are 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games following an ATS win. Somehow, it's the Lions...take DETROIT! |
12-22-18 | Kansas v. Arizona State +4 | 76-80 | Win | 100 | 21 h 50 m | Show
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NCAA 'Top-Rated' Money Game Kansas at Arizona State 9:00 ET Sun Devils (+) over Jayhawks- No. 1 and undefeated (10-0) Kansas comes to Tempe off a 36-point home win over South Dakota 89-53 and this will be their first true road game. Arizona State meanwhile took to the road undefeated 7-0 but dropped 2-of-3 and are 0-3-1 ATS in their last four and returning home to face the Jayhawks. The Sun Devils won the last meeting at Kansas 95-85 as a 12-point underdog are are 5-0 straight-up at home. Get spot for Arizona State. Take the SUN DEVILS! |
12-22-18 | Ravens +4.5 v. Chargers | Top | 22-10 | Win | 100 | 23 h 7 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' Money Game Winner Baltimore at L.A. Chargers 8:20 ET Ravens (+) over Chargers- There are a few what I consider 'key' factors that are supporting my position on the contest. To start with the Chargers have already clinched a playoff spot and that has been a death nil the next time out for teams that clinched I.e.-Rams, Pats, Saints and Chiefs all lost after clinching a spot. Just in general with L.A. Coming off ending a nine-game losing streak against Kansas City there has to be a feeling of satisfaction, inflated ego and contentment, all this plays into the Ravens hands. The underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last five as well as the road team 4-1 ATS in last five meetings. This will be a match of strengths as Baltimore will try and control the ball on the ground averaging over 200 yards since Lamar Jackson took over at QB. But, LA's strength is their rushing defense and Melvin Gordon on offense as well as a seasoned Phil Rivers at QB. The clinching in the clincher. Take BALTIMORE! |
12-22-18 | Spurs v. Rockets -5 | 101-108 | Win | 100 | 9 h 48 m | Show
San Antonio at Houston 8:00 ET Rockets (-) over Spurs- Houston is once again without Chris Paul as he will be sidelined for a few weeks with a hamstring pull and that doesn't bode well for the Rockets as they are 0-5 SU and ATS without Paul in the lineup. San Antonio has finally put it together having won their last three and seven of their last eight going 7-1 ATS and yet the are an underdog to a weakened Rockets squad. The Spurs have won their last five games by 26, 39, 27, 38 and 25 points and yet they are a substantial dog here. This doesn't make sense. Take HOUSTON! |
12-22-18 | Bucks v. Heat +3 | Top | 87-94 | Win | 100 | 9 h 43 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Miami 8:00 ET Heat (+) over Bucks- Two of the 'hotter' clubs matchup in Miami where the Heat host the Bucks who have won four straight including a convincing 120-107 win at Boston last night. Miami, meanwhile has lost their best player in Goran Dragic who will be out for two months or more and have managed a season high three-game win streak. After falling behind 10-1 to the Celtics last night the Bucks stormed back for their win and will be floating on 'cloud nine' so I don't expect full focus here. But, key here is that Milwaukee is 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings and 0-4 ATS in their last four in Miami. Defense has been the key for the Heat as they have held the Bucks to 88.3 points per game. Take MIAMI! |
12-22-18 | Seton Hall v. Maryland -8 | 78-74 | Loss | -105 | 17 h 27 m | Show
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NCAA 'Top-Rated' Power Play Seton Hall at Maryland 5:50 ET Terrapins (-) over Pirates- Maryland has had the advantage of a heavy does of home games and are 7-1 straight-up but are just 2-5-1 ATS as hosts. Seton Hall is on a four game wins streak which including a win over Kentucky and are 4-1 straight-up away from home. The Terrapins have struggled against the Big East going 5-12 ATS in the last 17 meetings. But, Maryland has had 11 days off and will be 'chomping' so to speak on the Hall. Already a tough defensive team they will have a huge rebounding advantage where they lead the Big Ten in rebounding margin at plus-12.3 while Seton Hall is among the worst in the Big East at minus-1.9. The line is generous and for good reason...Terrapins smother the Pirates. Take MARYLAND! |
12-22-18 | North Carolina v. Kentucky +2.5 | Top | 72-80 | Win | 100 | 17 h 18 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NCAA 'Highest-Rated' Megabucks Kentucky vs North Carolina 5:15 ET Wildcats (+) over Tar Heels- Without a doubt this selection will be 'against the gain' for so many reasons starting with Kentucky's 3-9-2 ATS record against the Tar Heels. Both No. 9 North Carolina and the No. 19 Wildcats are 8-2 with KU coming in at 4-6 ATS while NC is 5-3-2 ATS. Kentucky opened their season getting pounded by Duke 118-74 (the largest KU loss ever) and only a 1-point loss at Seton Hall is their only blemish since going 8-1. NC was 'our' Highest-rated' Megabucks winner last week over Gonzaga and this week they fall to the Wildcats. Carolina has a 24-15 series lead but the Cats are 5-3 since John Calipari to the reins. Take KENTUCKY! |
12-22-18 | Houston +6.5 v. Army | 14-70 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 48 m | Show
Chip's 'Guaranteed' Dollar General Bowl Winner Houston vs Army 3:30 ET Cougars (+) over Black Knights- This game has to be strictly a lay-down by the Cadets if you believe the stats and trends surrounding this matchup. The Army comes into the Armed Forces Bowl on an eight game winning streak including a season ending win over Navy. I am a bit surprised the 'price' of this game is as cheap as it is as Houston which was weak defensively as it was will be without four defensive line starters as All-American Ed Oliver will skip the game to prepare for the NFL draft and Jerard Carter, Payton Turner and Isaiah Champers are injured. Army leads the nation in time of possession at almost 39 minutes a game and that is a cause for concern but the Cadets have already won the games that they wanted last time out defeating Navy. Take HOUSTON! |

12-22-18 | Connecticut +6.5 v. Villanova | 58-81 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 21 m | Show
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NCAA BK Early-Bird Winner Connecticut vs Villanova 12:30 ET Huskies (+) over Wildcats- The defending National Champion Wildcats have dropped their last two including last weeks 'cover' against the Jayhawks and have had a week to get it together. Connecticut now has Danny Hurley as head coach and he of course is looking for guard play first and that's good because the Huskies will need someone to counter-balance the Wildcat's Phil Booth who had 21 versus Kansas. UCONN the overachievers are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 games against the Big East but are just 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine meetings with Villanova who is 35-16 ATS in their last 51 tries. It doesn't matter here...take CONNECTICUT! |
12-21-18 | Jazz +2 v. Blazers | 120-90 | Win | 100 | 11 h 39 m | Show
Utah at Portland 10:00 ET Jazz (+) over Trailblazers- Portland has ripped off three straight wins and 'covers' and 5-of-7 and are an impressive 12-4 SU at home (11-5 ATS). Utah hopes that their win over Golden State Wednesday will catapult their play as they are 4-0-1 when playing on one-days rest but are 1-5 ATS in their last six meetings in Portland. This contest features a pair of exciting guards in Damon Lillard and Donovan Mitchell that are both worth paying to see especially if they got head-to-head. Lillard averaged 33 points in four games against the Jazz last season and leads the NBA in second half scoring this year. But, Utah's defense will be the difference. Take UTAH! |
12-21-18 | Bucks +1.5 v. Celtics | Top | 120-107 | Win | 100 | 9 h 44 m | Show |
Milwaukee at Boston 8:00 ET Bucks (+) over Celtics- How things have changed in the odds-makers eyes since the 2018 NBA playoffs when Boston was pounding the rest of the league. The Celtics and Milwaukee met in last year's post season and Boston was favored by 5-points and now are favored by less than a 3-point bucket. This gets more of my attention as we see the Bucks are 0-6 ATS in their last six trips to Boston and 2-9 ATS in the last 11 meetings. With these obvious trends the 'price' should be getting larger not smaller. Take MILWAUKEE! |
12-21-18 | Hawks +3 v. Knicks | 114-107 | Win | 100 | 8 h 22 m | Show
Atlanta at New York 7:30 ET Hawks (+) over Knicks- These two bottom feeders have are a combined 16-47 record straight-up and two of those wins came against each other. New York is 2-0 in the pair of meetings this season winning 126-107 at Madison Square Garden in the opener as a 4-point favorite. This time around the Knicks are a smaller favorite although as they have a better overall record but have lost three straight and eight of their last nine. Atlanta who is 1-7-1 ATS in their last nine road games are 3-8 ATS in the last 11 meetings. The numbers just don't add up. Take ATLANTA! |
12-21-18 | BYU -12 v. Western Michigan | 49-18 | Win | 100 | 19 h 35 m | Show
Western Michigan vs Brigham Young 4:00 ET Cougars (-) over Broncos- Western Michigan closed the season with a 28-21 win over N. Illinois and after what I saw out of the Huskies Tuesday beating them is no big deal. Before that the Broncos had lost three in-a-row after winning six straight. It's been an up and down season for BYU as well as they replaced their senior quarterback Mangum with a freshman that has them 3-3 but closed the year 4-0 ATS but, the Cougars are 0-4 ATS in their last four Bowl games. Many of the players from Utah wanted to play in a warm weather bowl but its back to Boise for the second year in a row and the second time this season. BYU dropped a 21-16 on Nov. 3 as an 11-point dog, this time they get the money as the favorite. Take BYU! |
12-20-18 | Mavs +3.5 v. Clippers | Top | 121-125 | Loss | -109 | 12 h 8 m | Show |
Dallas at L.A. Clippers 10:30 ET Mavericks (+) over Clippers- After quick starts to the season these two are moving back to the pack as Dallas has lost their last three straight-up and are 0-4 ATS in their last four while Los Angeles dropped their last four, seven of their last nine and are 1-6 ATS in their last seven. The Clippers started 15-6 and were leading the West while the Mavericks had won 12 of 15 before their recent slide. Although the Clippers have won the last three meetings the Mavs are 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven meetings. After 10 season's in Los Angeles center DeAndre Jordan returns to the Staples Center with the Mavericks and The Clippers will be without Lou Williams again. Take DALLAS! |
12-20-18 | Marshall v. South Florida +3.5 | 38-20 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 54 m | Show
Marshall vs South Florida 8:00 ET Bulls (+) over Thundering Herd- How about this, South Florida is virtually playing a bowl game at home on a five game losing streak. I don't think I have seen a bowl matchup where any team has lost their last five games straight-up. Playing at Raymond James Stadium was no advantage for the Bulls this season as they were 1-5 ATS including 0-4 ATS in the last four. Marshall who was kind enough to 'lay-down' against Virginia Tech so that the Hokies became bowl eligible. But, the thundering Herd are not to be taken lightly as they are 6-0 ATS in their last six bowl games, but 0-7 ATS in their last seven on Thursdays. The Bulls will have much of their lost (to injury) firepower back getting them back to who they were when they were 7-2. Take SOUTH FLORIDA! |
12-20-18 | Texas Tech +10.5 v. Duke | 58-69 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 6 m | Show
Texas Tech vs Duke 7:00 ET Red Raiders (+) over Blue Devils- Not that they need it but Duke and coach Mike Krzyzewski use the games they play at Madison Square Garden as a recruiting tool as they are 38-14 all time in this venue saying 'It's every kids dream to play in the Garden.' Texas Tech ranked No. 11 and are 10-0 with the nation's top defense allowing just 51.2 points and holding opponents to 32.2 percent field goals allowed. The Red Raiders are not just a flash in the pan as they were along with Duke in the NCAA's Elite Eight last season. This should be a tight low scoring affair as Tech forces 11.5 turnovers per game and while the Blue Devils lead the nation with 8.1 blocks per contest. Take the points...take TEXAS TECH! |
12-19-18 | Warriors v. Jazz +3 | 103-108 | Win | 100 | 11 h 35 m | Show
Golden State at Utah 9:00 ET Jazz (+) over Warriors- It appears the Warriors have righted the ship with the return of Stephen Curry and have won their last two and six of their last seven and are tied with Denver for the most wins in the west. The Jazz are three-games under the break-even mark but with the return of leading scorer Donavan Mitchell are looking to make up some ground at home as they have played only 11 of 30 games at home. Utah is 4-0 ATS I the last four meetings and they are in a good spot here. Take the JAZZ! |
12-19-18 | UCLA v. Cincinnati -8.5 | 64-93 | Win | 100 | 6 h 12 m | Show
UCLA at Cincinnati 9:00 ET Bearcats (-) over Bruins- These two opened the gridiron season with a Bearcats (+10) outright win over the Bruins in LA and now it is the hardwood boys chance to garner some revenge for their school mates. The ugly truth is that the PAC-12 has fallen competitively in virtually all major sports (save women's volleyball) and although at 7-3 UCLA is respectable they are not among the elite. Cincinnati meanwhile has been a 'comer' as they are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall. 'We' have had plenty of lucky with and against the Bearcats posting Miss St. 70-59 breaking Cincy's nine-game win streak. UCLA lost to Belmont on Saturday after defeating Notre Dame, With Ohio State up next in Chicago the Bruins could get caught peeking. Cat's allow just 57.6 points and win here. Take CINCINNATI! |
12-19-18 | Nets v. Bulls +2 | Top | 96-93 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 40 m | Show |
Brooklyn at Chicago 8:00 ET Bulls (+) over Nets- Like I said before Brooklyn's win last night over the Lakers, 'Break-up the Nets!' They have won six straight games and are favored on the road for what seems like the first time since forever, This win streak comes on the heels of an eight game win streak as they are off of their 115-110 over the Lakers to go 3-0 on their home stand. Jim Boylen Chicago's 'new' coach is 2-5 since taking over but is pleased with the Bulls competitive nature although they have lost 11 of 13. With the way Brooklyn is playing along with Chicago's talent level the 'line' here is very shallow. Consider the Nets are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings makes this look too inviting. Take CHICAGO! |
12-19-18 | Ohio v. San Diego State +3 | Top | 27-0 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 8 m | Show |
Ohio vs San Diego State 8:00 ET Aztecs (+) over Bobcats- Okay, 'we' have some issues about this game with Ohio from the Mid-American Conference being favored. As it is, the MAC has had one of the worst bowl results than any other conference even worse than the Big-Ten and have already lost with Northern Illinois this time around. San Diego State who at one time was 6-1 has lost their last three and five of six and are 1-6 ATS in their last seven contests. The Aztecs were beset with injuries to key personal who have returned for this contest. Ohio who runs the ball for the most part will be up against the Aztecs defense that ranks fourth nationally in rushing defense. Take SAN DIEGO STATE! |
12-19-18 | Spurs v. Magic +1 | 129-90 | Loss | -103 | 9 h 48 m | Show
San Antonio at Orlando 7:00 ET Magic (+) over Spurs- At 16-15 the Spurs have won five of their last six but have been inconsistent the entire season and are off of a huge 123-96 win over Philadelphia after losing to Chicago at home on Saturday. Orlando returns home after a pair of wins in Mexico City against the Bulls and Jazz and is just 6-8 straight-up at home while San Antonio is just 4-10 SU on the road. The Magic are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games against teams with a road winning percentage of 40 or less and they are 5-2 ATS against the Spurs in the last seven meetings. Take ORLANDO! |
12-18-18 | Mavs +5 v. Nuggets | Top | 118-126 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 56 m | Show |
Dallas at Denver 9:00 ET Mavericks (+) over Nuggets- Don't look now but it is the Nuggets that own the best record in the west as they have won 10 of their last 12 including their last three as they host the Mavericks who have dropped their last two. Those two losses followed as span of 12 wins in 15 games. Dallas is capable and although they have lost four straight at Denver they are a rejuvenated team this season. The Paradox is that the Nuggets are 6-0 ATS in their last six home games but Dallas is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings. It's a spot for the Mavericks to buck the Nuggets. Take DALLAS! |
12-18-18 | Buffalo v. Syracuse -3.5 | Top | 71-59 | Loss | -103 | 10 h 12 m | Show |
Buffalo at Syracuse 7:00 ET Orange (-) over Bulls- Boy, does this match-up have an odd look. Here, is SUNY Buffalo (10-0) undefeated and ranked No.15 while floundering Syracuse (7-3) is reeling after losing outright 68-62 as a 10-point favorite against Old Dominion. In that loss the Orange blew a 13-point lead and were outscored by 16 in the second half. Buffalo dropped an 81-74 decision at Syracuse last season and claimed that they had a better team. Well, they will not be able to sneak up on the orange tonight. Take SYRACUSE! |
12-18-18 | Wizards v. Hawks +3.5 | 110-118 | Win | 100 | 9 h 21 m | Show
Washington at Atlanta 7:30 ET Hawks (+) over Wizards- A pair of bottom feeders pair up at the State Farm Arena Atlanta but Washington was our Sunday Power Play winner 128-100 over the LA Lakers and that came on the heels of a 4-game losing streak. I really don't think this Wizards team is very good and I hate their make-up (team personality). When 'we' win with them I consider it a blessing and when they lose it is expected. So far, 'we done good.' Atlanta could end up the NBA's worst before the season is over but with Washington's road performance to date 4-12 SU and ATS we will take the points. Take the HAWKS! |
12-18-18 | Lakers v. Nets +3 | Top | 110-115 | Win | 100 | 9 h 14 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers at Brooklyn 7:30 ET Nets (+) over Lakers- Break up the Nets...Brooklyn in the '50s used to cry about breaking up the New York Yankees and now it is the Nets who dominate the floor winning five straight and ready to take on LeBron James and the Lakers. To start with we have to understand the NBA player's psych as they travel the country week in and week out. But , some times they only get to visit their favorite destination a limited number of times and the Los Angeles Lakers don't make it to NYC that often. For a team that has had Brooklyn's number in recent seasons this is a very short 'number,' they aren't giving the Lakers much room although they are 12-3-3 ATS in their last 18 visits to Brooklyn. Hangover city for LA or we don't have a chance. Take the NETS! |
12-18-18 | Northern Illinois +3 v. UAB | 13-37 | Loss | -130 | 19 h 23 m | Show
Northern Illinois vs Alabama- Birmingham 7:00 ET Huskies (+) over Blazers- When one looks at the history and the trends surrounding it becomes difficult to justify 'my' side. But here we go Both teams won their conference championships but the Mid-American has proven fruitless in bowls games as exampled by these Northern Illinois Huskies who are 0-5 ATS in the last five bowl games and are 0-4 ATS in December. This would make me think that the weather in that part of the country drives teams indoors this time of the year and they lose conditioning and the outdoor feel of the games. But, there is a glimmer of light as UAB is 0-4 ZATS in their last four games on grass. But, here's what it comes down to for me. Three years ago Alabama Birmingham was out of college football and now the are the feel good story making a bowl in just their second year back and everyone is proud of their C-USA champions but it ends here. The Huskies even in ATS losses have bowl routines that the Blazers haven't experienced. Take NORTHERN ILLINOIS! |
12-17-18 | Saints v. Panthers +6.5 | Top | 12-9 | Win | 100 | 10 h 29 m | Show |
New Orleans at Carolina 8:15 ET Panthers (+) over Saints- Carolina's year has been a 'Tale of Two Seasons.' It was five short weeks ago the halfway point in the season and the Panthers were riding high on the arm and legs of Cam Newton and they have lost five straight four of which were on the road. New Orleans has already clinched the division and is battling the Rams for the conference lead. Carolina will close the season at New Orleans and will need to start here first. They are 5-1 SU at home and the underdog is7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings. Take the PANTHERS! |
12-17-18 | Kings v. Wolves -8 | Top | 105-132 | Win | 100 | 9 h 3 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NBA 'Top-Rated' Megabucks Sacramento at Minnesota 8:05 ET Timberwolves (-) over Kings- Hey wots-up with this...I would think with the way Sacramento is playing not just covering the spread but dominating their opponents, the Kings have already won the first two meetings both In Sacramento 141-130- and 121-110 so this will be the Wolves first crack at them as hosts. The Kings have won six of their last seven with the only loss was bowing to the Warriors but are 7-1 ATS in the last eight and yet they are a heavy underdog against a Minnesota team that has lost four in-a-row. Sacramento is 0-5 ATS playing with no rest and they are off of a win at Dallas Sunday. Add the Minnesota is 4-1 ATS in their last five home games. If Smells like payback to me!...Take the TIMBERWOLVES! |
12-17-18 | Jazz +5.5 v. Rockets | 97-102 | Win | 100 | 9 h 56 m | Show
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NBA 'Top-Rated' Vegas Hotline Utah at Houston 8:00 ET Jazz (+) over Rockets- It has taken about 25 games but it appears that the Rockets are starting to find their 'sea legs' as they have put together three straight wins going 3-0 ATS. Utah who 1-3 in their last four games has already defeated Houston twice this season winning by 11 and 27 points. The Jazz 2017-18 Rookie of the Year Donovan Mitchell is back after missing four games with an assortment of injuries and his offensive contribution is key to the Jazz offense. Utah is glad to be back at sea level as their trip (Saturday) to Mexico City proved to be a shooting nightmare shooting 31% from the floor. Once again it is UTAH! |
12-17-18 | Suns +1.5 v. Knicks | Top | 128-110 | Win | 100 | 9 h 41 m | Show |
Phoenix at New York Knicks 7:00 ET Suns (+) over Knicks- With the return Devin Booker of the Suns have won back-to-back games for the first time this season following a 10-game losing streak. Phoenix who is 0-5 ATS in their last five road games will be without Trevor Ariza who was traded over the weekend but are 6-2 ATS in their last eight trips to Madison Square Garden. If you consider the points allowed (+3) for the home court advantage the odds-makers are rating the Suns higher than the Knicks. This 'line' would have Phoenix favored if this game was played on a neutral site. Take the SUNS! |
12-17-18 | Arizona State v. Vanderbilt +1.5 | 65-81 | Win | 100 | 7 h 26 m | Show
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NCAA Top-Rated' Megabucks Arizona State at Vanderbilt 7:00 ET Commodores (+) over Sun Devils- No. 20 Arizona State keep digging huge holes for themselves and have managed to win after trailing in three games by 16, 18 and 18 in comeback wins. Vanderbilt should be well rested and ready to play as they have had the past 12-days off for final exams. The Commodores needed the time to adjust to the loss of guard Darius Garland but still score 84 points per game. Although ASU is 4-0 in past meetings the Sun Devils are just 2-8-2 ATS in their last 12 games on the road. Take VANDERBILT! |
12-16-18 | Eagles +14 v. Rams | 30-23 | Win | 100 | 22 h 42 m | Show
Philadelphia at L.A. Rams 8:20 ET Eagles (+) over Rams- Hey, haven't we seen this before, I mean it's about Nick Foles once again as he replaced Carson Wentz for the struggling Eagles. Last December Philadelphia went to LA in week 15 and took the Rams out 43-35 but as of now Los Angeles is undefeated (6-0) at home and are off losing at Chicago last Sunday. The Eagles lost a heartbreaker in Dallas where all the key calls and plays went the Cowboys way. The Rams have already clinched the West and they do not seem inclined to run up the score if capable but they are 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings and 1-4 AST against Philly in Los Angeles. Too many points... Take the EAGLES! |
12-16-18 | Lakers v. Wizards +2.5 | Top | 110-128 | Win | 100 | 7 h 22 m | Show |
L.A. Lakers at Washington 6:00 ET Wizards (+) over Lakers- The Wizards have lost four straight and haven't won since their mini 3-game winning streak when the defeated such powerhouses as Atlanta, Brooklyn and New York. The Lakers after a slow start have won seven of their last nine and they are off last night's 128-100 romp over Charlotte where both LeBron James and Lonzo Ball had triple-doubles. That is the first time teammates had triple-doubles in the same game in 36 years. Washington just pulled off a trade and acquired Trevor Ariza from the Suns and he should help with their 3-point shooting currently at 32.8%. Considering that L.A. Is 12-5-1 in their last 18 meetings in Washington this line is way too low. Looks like a 'come-get-me' to me. Take WASHINGTON! |
12-16-18 | Patriots v. Steelers +3 | Top | 10-17 | Win | 100 | 45 h 30 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' AFC Game of Year (9-1 90%) New England at Pittsburgh 4:25 ET Steelers (+) over Patriots- Pittsburgh had a shaky start to the season opening 1-2-1 and then reeled off six straight wins to take command at 7-2-1. But, since then, they have dropped three straight and now hold just a half-game lead over the charging Ravens. New England of course is still steady and it took a freaky last play of the game touchdown to beat them last week in Miami. Tom Brady always seems to be at his best when up against 'name' quarterbacks and is 5-0 the last five meetings including twice last season and has 25 TD's and only four interceptions in 10 career games against Pittsburgh. Find and good, but, the Steelers are 8-1 ATS at home as an underdog off a loss. New England is just 3-4 SU and ATS on the road go down here. Take PITTSBURGH! |
12-16-18 | Seahawks v. 49ers +4 | Top | 23-26 | Win | 100 | 18 h 49 m | Show |
Seattle at San Francisco 4:05 ET 49ers (+) over Seahawks- Now let me step back and get a good look at this scenario. From what I've seen out of Seattle the past four weeks is nothing but wins and 'covers.' the Seahawks are 8-1-1 ATS in their last 10 games including a 43-16 beatdown of San Francisco two weeks ago at home. The Niners have struggled once again although they gone the outright win over Denver last week they are were 1-5 ATS in the pervious six. Then I look at the series between these two and see the Seahawks with nine straight wins and wonder why this line opened so low and got lower. With Kansas City up at home next week Seattle will get caught peeking. Take SAN FRANCISCO! |
12-16-18 | Dolphins v. Vikings -7.5 | 17-41 | Win | 100 | 15 h 35 m | Show
Miami at Minnesota 1:00 ET Vikings (-) over Dolphins- If I see another disgusting play as we are all aware of Minnesota's short-comings. But, circumstances dictate a 'play' on them. Having lived in south Florida and even have season tickets for the Dolphins (Nick Sabin era) I am acutely aware of how intense it games in Miami when the Patriots arrive and year after year this is the biggest game on the schedule and they have done well, Last week of course with the 'Miami Miracle' the Dolphins have been riding high all week and them some. At 7-6 that was Miami second straight win while the Vikings fell flat on Monday night at Seattle. It's time for Minnesota the 'Cowboy-up' and beat a team with a winning record as they are 0-4 in their last four chances. Although Miami has won the past three meetings they are in a low point mentally for this contest while the Vikings will be highly motivated. Take MINNESOTA! |
12-16-18 | Cowboys v. Colts -3 | 0-23 | Win | 100 | 14 h 14 m | Show
Dallas at Indianapolis 1:00 ET Colts (+) over Cowboys- 'How about them Cowboys'...after opening the season 3-5 they are one win away from the NFC Division crown. Since acquiring Amari Cooper including a bye week Dallas has gone 5-1 and most say he is the difference in the offense, but remember the defense isn't too bad either. The Cowboys are third in the NFL in run defense while Indianapolis is eighth. The 'Boys have won the last three meetings and are 4-0 ATS in their last four following a win. Take the COLTS! |
12-15-18 | Cincinnati v. Mississippi State -3 | 59-70 | Win | 100 | 10 h 49 m | Show
Cincinnati at Mississippi State 8:30 ET Bulldogs (-) over Bearcats- Last Saturday I told you all that the Bearcats were the side against Xavier and 'we' had a winner, this week we flip side. Cincinnati is 9-1 and not ranked in the Top-25 while Mississippi State is 8-1 and ranked No. 17. Why has Cincinnati been overlooked in this regard? Is it simply because they aren't all that good to start with. The Bulldogs are the first ranked team for Cincy this season and the quality of their opponent might cause a bit of shock and maybe awe. These two clubs have met three times and the Bearcats won and covered in each as a favorite. This time the rolls are reversed and so is the result. Last season the Bearcats won easily 65-50 as Dogs' star Lamar Peters went 0-11 including 0-7 from 3-point range. That will not happen again! Take MISSISSIPPI STATE! |
12-15-18 | Browns v. Broncos -2.5 | Top | 17-16 | Loss | -107 | 31 h 23 m | Show |
Cleveland at Denver 8:20 ET Broncos (+) over Browns- Okay, here we go...I kept hearing that the Browns are closing in on a playoff spot despite their 5-7-1 record. A mighty improvement over the past few years as they finally dumped their 'dead-weight' coach Hue Jackson who is now helping with the dismantling of the Bengals. Denver is also in the mix after three straight wins but the loss to the Niners last week have them is dire need of a win here. A win last week for Cleveland was their third in four games but they have followed five wins by going 1-4 ATS the next time out. Denver is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings...take the BRONCOS! (PS- Don't miss Chip's AFC Game of the Year (9-1 90%) on Sunday! |
12-15-18 | Celtics v. Pistons +2.5 | Top | 104-113 | Win | 100 | 8 h 48 m | Show |
Boston at Detroit 7:00 ET Pistons (+) over Celtics- Boston is riding a season high eight-game win streak as the enter the Motor City while the Piston have busted a valve and has lost their last six after a 4-game win streak. The Celtics have already defeated Detroit twice this season by and average of 11.5 points and the are 6-0 ATS in their last six meetings in Detroit. With all these trends the direction these two clubs are headed this is a 'bogus' line. Take DETROIT! |
12-15-18 | Gonzaga v. North Carolina -2.5 | Top | 90-103 | Win | 100 | 8 h 29 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NCAA 'Highest-Rated' Megabucks Gonzaga at North Carolina 7:00 ET Tar Heels (-) over Bulldogs- Gonzaga has been impressive at 9-1 with wins over Duke, Arizona Washington and Creighton while their lone loss was to Tennessee on a neutral floor. The Bulldogs loss to the Vols dropped them out of the college top spot in the nation and Kansas moved in to No. 1. North Carolina has a pair of losses to Texas and to No. 5 Michigan. One thing that happens often in college or even professional sports is after a team has their 'mojo' disrupted it takes them a game or two to regain their momentum and confidence. Two season's ago the Tar Heels got the best of Gonzaga in the Final-4 Championship game 71-65 and will do it again as Roy Williams has criticized his team's effort of late and I'm sure they will respond here. Take NORTH CAROLINA! |
12-15-18 | Arizona State v. Georgia +3.5 | 76-74 | Win | 100 | 7 h 25 m | Show
Arizona State at Georgia 6:00 ET Bulldogs (+) over Sun Devils- No. 20 Arizona State is leading scorer is freshman guard Luguentz Dort who is 6-4 215 pounds and looks like he should be playing linebacker for the Sun Devils in the Las Vegas Bowl. Dort is from Haiti and believes soccer says soccer is his first love and I would like to see him kick the ball around a bit today against a Georgia defense that only allows 38% shooting from the field. ASU has 'covered' just two of 11 road games goin 2-7-2 ATS. The Sun Devils went dark in the second half their last time out as the surrendered a 16-point lead to Nevada. Just apply a little pressure boys and you can win this one outright. Take GEORGIA! |
12-15-18 | Texans v. Jets +7 | 29-22 | Push | 0 | 28 h 40 m | Show
Houston at New York Jets 4:30 ET Jets (+) over Texans- After starting the season 0-3 the Texans reeled off nine straight wins before being upended by the Colts 24-21 last Sunday but still hold a 2-game lead over Indianapolis in the AFC South. New York ended a streak of their own last Sunday as they ended a six-game slide by coming from behind to defeat Buffalo 27-23. The Jets Sam Darnold was 16-of-24 for 170 yards last week and New York is beginning to expand his play calling. Houston who has played three straight home games will find conditions in New York a but testy. Note that the underdog is 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings and the Jets are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings. Take NEW YORK J-E-T-S! (PS- Don't miss Chip's AFC Game of the Year (9-1 90%) on Sunday! |

12-15-18 | Arizona State +6.5 v. Fresno State | Top | 20-31 | Loss | -110 | 28 h 49 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' Las Vegas Bowl Winner Arizona State vs. Fresno State 3:30 ET Sun Devils (+) over Bulldogs- Fresno State enters Las Vegas winners of their last three and nine of 10 including the Mountain West Championship overtime 19-16 win over Boise State. With seven wins and a trip to a bowl game most are surprised Herm Edwards was able to pull off a successful first season at Arizona State and they enter with four wins tin their last five. Normally, I'm concerned about the MWC's ability to stay with the Pac-12 but the Sun Devils have been a piece of cake for the inferior conference going 1-6 ATS in the last seven meetings. ASU's leading receiver will skip this game and that will put the ball in the hands of All Pac-12 running back Eno Benjamin who had 277 carries for 1,524 yards. Take ARIZONA STATE! |
12-15-18 | Villanova +7.5 v. Kansas | Top | 71-74 | Win | 100 | 18 h 46 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NCAA BK Early-Bird Winner Villanova at Kansas 12:00 ET Wildcats (+) over Jayhawks- No. 1 Kansas will host the defending National Champion Villanova Wildcats and are look for revenge after the 95-79 beating inflicted bu the Wildcats in last year's semi in the Final-4. Villanova is off a loss to Big-5 rival Penn their first loss in the series in 25 games and in part, the Wildcats issues in that loss might be keyed to the fact that they were looking ahead to this contest. Kansas is 4-0 at home but is just 1-3 ATS but will be without center Udoka Azuibuike and that will weaken their interior. Villanova is 15-6 ATS in their last 21 games and will come to play here. Take the WILDCATS! |
12-14-18 | Raptors v. Blazers +4 | Top | 122-128 | Win | 100 | 11 h 0 m | Show |
Toronto at Portland 10:00 ET Trailblazers (+) over Raptors- Toronto leads the NBA in wins with 23 and are off a win against their nearest competitor Golden State (19 wins) 113-99 on Wednesday. Portland has dropped their last two games, 7-of-10 and after a 10-3 start is reeling as they have won just five of their last 15 games. The status of the Raptors Kawhi Leonard who has missed the past two games doesn't hurt the balance of this Toronto squad that is well balanced. Although the Raptors has swept the two-game series in each of the last three seasons they are just 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Portland. Take the TRAILBLAZERS! |
12-14-18 | Pacers +4.5 v. 76ers | 113-101 | Win | 100 | 8 h 16 m | Show
Indiana at Philadelphia 7:30 ET Pacers (+) over 76ers- The drama that clings to the 76ers can not be good as their star players Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Jimmy Butler are having difficulties understanding their role. Indiana on the other hand has won five straight and after an 11-game absence Victor Oladipo has returned as the Pacers trail the 76ers by just a half-game. Philadelphia is off of a 127-124 loss at Brooklyn when they sent the Nets to the foul line 43 times. Jimmy Butler is questionable once again and their chemistry has yet to jell. Add that the Pacers are 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings and 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Philadelphia. Take INDIANA. |
12-13-18 | Chargers +3.5 v. Chiefs | Top | 29-28 | Win | 100 | 11 h 3 m | Show |
San Diego at Kansas City 8:20 ET Chargers (+) over Chiefs- Over the years we have had numerous opportunities make money in big games with the Chargers and they always seem to have fallen short. At 10-3 Los Angeles (Don't I mean San Diego) has become a formidable for for the AFC leading Chiefs. Kansas City is undefeated at home at 6-0 but just 3-3 ATS while the Chargers are 5- straight and AATS on the road. Although LA is 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings the road team is 6-1 ATS and it is time for Philip Rivers take up when it counts and show the young phenom Mahomes what a veteran can do. Take the CHARGERS! |
12-13-18 | Lakers v. Rockets -5 | 111-126 | Win | 100 | 10 h 15 m | Show
L.A. Lakers at Houston 8:00 ET Rockets (-) over Lakers- After winning just two of their first seven games the Lakers have won 15 of their last 20 and six out of their last seven. Houston on the other hand has struggled the entire season to date and just broke a three game losing streak with a huge comeback home win over Portland after three straight road losses. The Rockets have dominated this series winning the last three and 19 of the last 25 meetings including 5-of-6 as hosts. Take HOUSTON! |
12-12-18 | LSU +3 v. Houston | 76-82 | Loss | -100 | 9 h 16 m | Show
L.S.U. At Houston 9:00 ET Tigers (+) over Cougars- No. 22 Houston is 8-0 and 15-5-2 ATS in their last 22 games overall while Louisiana State is 1-7 ATS in their last 11 road games and 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight overall. Add that the Cougars have 21 won straight home games and yet this 'price' in very inviting and that's the rub. The Tigers are part of the SEC and that conference has dominated Houston going 9-3 ATS in the last 12 meetings and the underdog is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings. Take L.S.U.! |
12-12-18 | Blazers +3 v. Grizzlies | Top | 83-92 | Loss | -104 | 9 h 10 m | Show |
Portland at Memphis 8:00 ET Trailblazers (+) over Grizzlies- A pair of clubs off losses with Portland dropping their last two and six straight on the road (0-6 ATS) while Memphis stumbled at Denver Monday night. The Grizzlies after a quick start have lost six of nine while the Blazers have lost seven of their last 10. Memphis will have a hampered Mike Conley who injured his hamstring against the Nuggets is expected to play but his effectiveness is to be questioned. The Memphis offense has slowed down a bit scoring less than 100 points in five of their last six games. Take PORTLAND! |
12-12-18 | Celtics v. Wizards +4 | 130-125 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 7 m | Show
Boston at Washington 7:00 ET Wizards (+) over Celtics- This will be a match-up of walking wounded as both clubs will hardly be at full strength. Boston pulled off a win in New Orleans Monday without Kylie Irving, Gordon Hayward, Al Horford, Aron Baynes and Guerschon Yabusele (his loss was crucial) with Irving and Hayward being day-to-day but the rest will once again be MIA. Washington who trailed by 26 points in their most recent loss were without John Wall (day-to-day) and Otto Porter. The Celtics have won six straight going 6-0 ATS while Washington has dropped their last two but are 4-0 ATS in their last four home games. The price seems a bit short and 'we'll' take the WIZARDS! |
12-12-18 | Bucks v. Pacers +2.5 | 97-113 | Win | 100 | 8 h 4 m | Show
Milwaukee at Indiana 7:00 ET Pacers (+) over Bucks- Indiana enters this contest off four straight wins going 3-0 ATS in their last three winning three straight at home. Milwaukee is off a pair of wins the second of which was Monday night 108-92 as they played without Giannis Anteokounmpo who had a sore neck but is expected to return tonight. The Pacers have been playing without their start Victor Oladipo who has missed 11 consecutive games in which Indiana is 7-4 straight-up but he did return to practice Tuesday. The Bucks posted a 118-101 home win over the Pacers in mid-October and I expect as reversal here. Take INDIANA! |
12-11-18 | Colorado v. New Mexico +5 | Top | 78-75 | Win | 100 | 9 h 27 m | Show |
Colorado at New Mexico 9:00 ET Lobos (+) over Buffaloes- The trends the surround this contest is urging this to be a 'no-play' and you will see what I mean as the Lobos are 0-7-1 ATS in their last eight against the Pac-12 and Colorado is 19-41-1 ATS in their last 61 games on the road. The Buffaloes are 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS in their last five and while New Mexico has dropped their last two getting blown out by St. Mary's and New Mexico State going 1-4 ATS in their last five. The Buffs won (-7.5) 75-57 as hosts last year and I expect the most solid reason I can give is that turn-about-is-fair-pay. Nah, Lobos light-up 3-pointers tonight...take NEW MEXICO! |
12-11-18 | Blazers v. Rockets -6.5 | Top | 103-111 | Win | 100 | 9 h 50 m | Show |
Portland at Houston 8:00 ET Rockets (+) over Trailblazers- The Houston Rockets have lost seven of their last nine games and have 14 losses this season which is just three shy of all the losses they accumulated last season. The issue with the Rockets is no longer the presence of Carmelo Anthony but their lack of defense (29th) and meager contribution by the bench which is dead last (28.2) in NBA scoring. Portland opened the year with a 104-85 in a game they never trailed. Portland has won their last two after losing six of their previous seven and but have lost seven of the last nine meetings including the win this season. The Trailblazers have struggled on the road trail losing their last four and are just 4-8 ATS allowing 115.2 points per contest. It is time for the Rockets to take off and blast Portland here. Take HOUSTON! |
12-10-18 | Vikings +3 v. Seahawks | Top | 7-21 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 3 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' MNF 'Highest-Rated' Winner Minnesota at Seattle 8:15 ET Vikings (+) over Seahawks- A month ago the Seahawks appeared 'dead in the water' as they were under .500 at 4-5, but, they have managed to win their last three games to put themselves back in the playoff hunt. Even with their loss last night the Rams have the division clinched and Seattle is scraping for a Wild Card spot. At 6-5 Minnesota has a half-game lead over Philadelphia, Washington and Carolina and have alternated wins and losses the last five games. The Vikings have struggled against 'better' competition as they are 1-7 ATS in their last eight against teams with winning records. Seattle has won the last four meetings but Russell Wilson is trowing for a career low 226 yards a game. Take MINNESOTA! |
12-10-18 | Kings v. Bulls +3 | Top | 108-89 | Loss | -115 | 9 h 39 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NBA Vegas Hotline Best Bet Sacramento at Chicago 8:00 ET Bulls (+) over Kings- This 'price' seems a bit too inviting as the Kings enter the Windy City favored by less than a field goal against a team that has on only six of 27 games and are off their worst loss in franchise history 133-77 to Boston. Sacramento has made huge strides this season with the addition of Marvin Bagley III to work with center Willie Cauley-Stein and shooting guard Buddy Hield. The Kings who are playing their fourth straight road game are 12-3-1 ATS in their last 16 meetings at Chicago. But, the Bulls had a closed door players only meetings after they were booed off the floor in during their 56 point loss. Bulls gore the Kings here. Take CHICAGO! |
12-10-18 | Jazz +5.5 v. Thunder | 113-122 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 7 m | Show
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NBA Money Game Best Bet Utah at Oklahoma City 8:00 ET Jazz (+) over Thunder- Both clubs are off losses as Oklahoma City lost at Chicago 114-112 Friday their third straight road game and the Jazz were trashed at San Antonio last night 110-97 ending a two-game win streak. Despite the defeat Utah is 9-8 on the road and actually allows less points on the road than at home while the Thunder are 9-3 SU and 7-5 ATS at home. Utah has struggled at OKC going 4-12-1 ATS in their last 17 trips. I don't like that stat but the Jazz are in position to win here. Take UTAH! |
12-10-18 | Pistons +8.5 v. 76ers | 102-116 | Loss | -109 | 7 h 12 m | Show
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NBA Power Play Best Bet Detroit at Philadelphia 7:00 ET Pistons (+) over 76ers- This is the fourth meeting of the season already between these two with the 76ers up 2-1 with the Pistons win coming in the first meeting 133-132 over time. After five straight wins Detroit has now lost four in-a-row including Sunday's 116-108 to New Orleans while Philadelphia has won five of six as well as six of the last seven meetings. Tonight Detroit will have Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond matching up against Jimmy Butler and Joel Embiid. This time out the Pistons show up in force. Take the PISTONS! |
12-09-18 | Rams v. Bears +3 | Top | 6-15 | Win | 100 | 33 h 40 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' Games of Year (8-1 89%) L.A. Rams at Chicago 8:20 ET Bears (+) over Rams- A month ago the Rams were dropped for the ranks of the unbeaten by New Orleans and everybody decided that the Saints were the best team in the NFC. Well, three wins latter and Los Angeles is atop the NFC and has clinched the NFC West Division crown for the second straight year. Last week Chicago mounted a second half comeback against in New York but fell in overtime 30-27 to the Giants with Chase Daniels at the helm ending a five-game win streak. It appears Mitch Trubisky will be back running the Bears offense and will be opposed by Jared Goff. With the Rams having already clinched I believe that that believe they will be totally focused but I think not. Important game of Chicago who are 6-2 ATS against the rams in the last eight meetings and they are 6-0-1 ATS at home against a team with a winning record while LA is 0-3-1 ATS against teams with winning records. Take CHICAGO! |
12-09-18 | Hornets v. Knicks +6 | 119-107 | Loss | -102 | 9 h 26 m | Show
Charlotte at New York 7:30 ET Knicks (+) over Hornets- New York has now lost their last three and five of their last six after Brooklyn took them apart at Madison Square garden last night 112-104. Charlotte meanwhile is coming off a Friday win against Denver snapping a 3-game losing streak but have struggled on the road going 3-8 straight-up and they are favored here. Even tho the home team has won the last seven meetings the Hornets are 0-4 ATS in their last four meetings in New York and 1-6 ATS in the last seven meetings overall. Take the KNICKS! |
12-09-18 | Steelers -9.5 v. Raiders | 21-24 | Loss | -109 | 21 h 30 m | Show
Chip's 'Guaranteed' AFC Heavy Hitter Winner Pittsburgh at Oakland 4:25 ET Steelers (-) over Raiders- Sorry to start this off with a cliché but, For the Steelers 'this is just what the Doctor ordered.' Pittsburgh has dropped their last two contests and had a miracle comeback win against the Jaguars three weeks ago or it would be three. Oakland has also lost their last two but that is to be expected as they are 2-10 and headed for the No. 1 draft pick. Unless, Tomlin has his troops completely 'lay-down' this is little change for the Raiders both SU and ATS. It isn't a lack of effort it is a total lack of talent aside for quarterback Derek Carr. But, Carr is fragile and going down easily and the Oakland receivers need handles on the ball as they drop just about everything. Their defensive secondary compares to the Giants in the inability to cover receivers (who can 'cover' now a days?) and put little pressure on opposing quarterbacks and that spells doom with Big Ben having time to find his talented receivers. Pitt is 4-1 on the road while the Raiders are 1-4 at home. Don't be afraid here, lay it! Take PITTSBURGH! |
12-09-18 | Tennessee +3.5 v. Gonzaga | Top | 76-73 | Win | 100 | 5 h 9 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NCAA Megabucks Winner Tennessee vs. Gonzaga 3:00 ET Volunteers (+) over Bulldogs- Top ranked and undefeated Gonzaga seeks their tenth straight win to open the season are a fine 7-2 ATS. At 6-1 Tennessee is ranked No. 7 and return 11 of 13 players and have already had one big game experience when they surrendered a nine-point second half lead to Kansas. This game is at a neutral site in Phoenix and the Volunteers are 1-1 on neutral sites while Gonzaga is 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS. Tennessee is 4-4 straight-up when playing the No. 1 ranked team in the national. Take TENNESSEE! |
12-09-18 | Ravens +7 v. Chiefs | 24-27 | Win | 100 | 19 h 8 m | Show
Baltimore at Kansas City 1:00 ET Ravens (+) over Chiefs- Kansas City may have slowed down 'covering' the spread but they still are on a record setting scoring pace and they be face the NFL's No. 1 defense in the Ravens who surrender just 281 yards per game. The Chiefs are scoring a NFL-best 37 points per game Baltimore's starter Joe Flacco has missed the last three games and rookie Lamar Jackson has taken over a won all three and will start Sunday. With Jackson's fleet feet Baltimore has run for over 200 yards in each game with Jackson making a major contribution from the QB spot. Kansas City is 5-0 SU at home but the road team is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings. Take BALTIMORE! |
12-09-18 | Saints v. Bucs +10 | 28-14 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 31 m | Show
Chip's 'Guaranteed' Vegas Insider (11-3 78%) Winner New Orleans at Tampa Bay 1:00 ET Buccaneers (+) over Saints- Can lightening strike twice for the Buccaneers who opened the season with a 48-40 win over the Saints in New Orleans. After that loss the Saints reeled off 10 straight wins before their 13-10 loss at Dallas where they were shut out in the first half. In the Buc's week one win it was Ryan Fitzpatrick who started at quarterback for the suspended Jameis Winston and threw for 417 yards. 'Fitzmagic' is calling Uber to ride the bench as 'America's Bad-boy' will be back under center. After a four interception and two fumble performance against the Giants a 38-35 loss, Winston has zero turnovers with four TD's in the last two games both wins. The Bucs have won the last two meetings and know they can win here. Take TAMPA BAY! |
12-09-18 | Giants v. Redskins +3 | Top | 40-16 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 22 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NFC Megabucks Winner New York Giants at Washington 1:00 ET Redskins (+) over Giants- A few short weeks ago the Redskins had a two-game lead and were running away with the NFC East and now after three straight losses and a plethora of injuries that are and underdog at home to a 4-8 New York Giants team. For Washington the answer is Mark Sanchez who will make his first start since 2015 and the third different quarterback to start for the Redskins in the past four weeks. New York has won 3-of-4 and is off a home overtime win over Chicago. I expect a heavy dose of Adrian Peterson to protect Sanchez's limited knowledge of the offense. This may not be so bad with the porous Giants defensive line and their strong defense putting pressure on Eli Manning how will get nervous feet. The underdog is 11-5 n the last 16 meetings and now without Beckham to Giants drop another notch. Take WASHINGTON! |
12-08-18 | Wolves +2.5 v. Blazers | Top | 105-113 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 51 m | Show |
Minnesota at Portland 10:00 ET Timberwolves (+) over Trailblazers- Portland's quick start has all but been wiped out as they lost six of seven before trouncing the Suns 108-86 as a 12.5-point favorite at the Moda Center. Minnesota on the other hand after slow start and the trade of Jimmy Butler has changed their fortunes as they have won their last two and six of seven. These two have played twice already each holding serve on their home court with the Blazers winning by 30-points 111-81 as a 5.5-point favorite on Nov. 4. Tonight, they opened -1.5 and that is a huge difference. Consider this Minnesota is 6-19-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings in Portland and are 13-37-1 ATS in the last 51 meetings. Yet, tonight, they opened at 1.5-points. The Trailblazers have been in a funk and beating Phoenix at home is hardly anything that will fix these problems. This one 'stinks'...take TIMBERWOLVES! |
12-08-18 | Lakers +2 v. Grizzlies | 111-88 | Win | 100 | 9 h 41 m | Show
L.A. Lakers at Memphis 8:00 ET Lakers (+) over Grizzlies- 'We' played against LA with out Megabucks winner last night as they bowed to San Antonio 133-120 blowing a 15-point lead in the process. Memphis has won 3-of-4 including their 107-103 win at New Orleans last night. The Grizzlies have completely turned things around from last season but this season they are still just 1-6 ATS in the second of back-to-back games. Los Angeles is playing much better basketball after a shaky start and they had won four straight before last night's collapse. Tonight, led by 'King James' the Lakers close the deal. Take LOS ANGELES! |
12-08-18 | Nets +2.5 v. Knicks | 112-104 | Win | 100 | 8 h 15 m | Show
Brooklyn at New York 7:30 ET Nets (+) over Knicks- Brooklyn had lost seven in a row most results coming down to the final buzzer and last night they managed to win a close one beating Toronto 106-105 while the Knicks are off a Thursday loss to Boston 128-100. Although these two have similar records it appears that it is the nets that are up and coming while New York just flounders year after year. Brooklyn is 7-6 ATS in the road while the Knicks are 4-7 straight-up. Brooklyn has struggled at Madison Square Garden going 1-7 ATS in their last eight subway rides into Manhattan. Still, the Nets play better defense and are hungrier. Take BROOKLYN! |
12-08-18 | Georgetown v. Syracuse -10.5 | 71-72 | Loss | -108 | 5 h 19 m | Show
Georgetown at Syracuse 3:30 ET Orange (-) over Hoyas- Both of these former Big East rivals enter this fray on four game win streaks with the Hoyas off of a win 88-78 over Liberty while Syracuse is off of a pair wins over Northeastern and Ohio State. Georgetown is up to their old tricks as they are 7-1 SU in their last eight but a horrid 2-11 ATS in their last 13 games overall. When they win the scrap bye and when they lose they get crushed. Patrick Ewing will be out foxed by Jim Boeheim and the Orange run away with this one. Take SYRACUSE! |
12-08-18 | Navy +7 v. Army | Top | 10-17 | Push | 0 | 47 h 1 m | Show |
Navy vs. Army 3:00 ET Midshipman (+) over Cadets- As an 'Army' man (drafted) I always felt a pang every year as the Navy with superior talent just ran roughshod over the Cadets time and again winning 14 straight in the series and many of them not even close. This time around the roles are reversed as it is the Army that is 9-2 and riding a seven game win streak while the Navy is 3-9 and off a loss to Tulane and 8-of-9. It has been eons since The Army has been this kind of favorite in this game. The Knights are favored by a solid touchdown and ranked No. 25 with a ground attack that produces over 300 yards per game, only Georgia Tech averaged more. The Navy has lost 12 straight away from home but are No. 3 nationally in rushing at 288.5 yards a game. The Midshipman's defense has been questioned but and rightfully so surrendering 35 points per games but, their level of competition is stronger then the Army's Ivy league fare. Although, this season the Knights defeated both mutual opponents while Navy lost to both Hawaii and Air Force. Still, this is ARMY/NAVY...take a hungry dog! Take NAVY! |
12-08-18 | Louisville v. Indiana -4.5 | Top | 67-68 | Loss | -110 | 4 h 28 m | Show |
Chip's 'Guaranteed' NCAA Megabucks Winner Louisville at Indiana 2:30 ET Hoosiers (-) Cardinals- Louisville has won their last three and are 4-0 ATS in their last four as they are considered the visitor although this game is at Madison Square Garden and Indiana is considered the home team. The Hoosiers have won four of their last five including their last two but had lost five straight ATS until their 64-62 win as a 3-point dog at Penn State. That makes a pair of two-point wins back-to-back and that strengthens character. The Cardinals have won three straight after a pair of losses to Tennessee and Marquette the last one a 86-41 beatdown of Central Arkansas, hardly a good workout. Louisville has been favored the last four meetings and the last time the Hoosiers were favored in the they won by 15 points. Take INDIANA!  |
12-08-18 | Xavier v. Cincinnati -7 | 47-62 | Win | 100 | 4 h 7 m | Show
Xavier at Cincinnati 2:00 ET Bearcats (-) over Musketeers- This one is just too much for me. Is there something wrong with Xavier that I am not aware of, or are the Bearcats that good. Ah there is something wrong with the Musketeers as they will be without one starter because of a concussion and the other is questionable. Let me start by saying that it doesn't matter the sport that when I support the U. of Cincinnati I get hosed one way or another and its virtually the opposite when I support Xavier I'm more often a winner. Enough of that...these two are bitter rivals as my main 'Progressive' man tells me (a Musketeer pugilist) that Xavier is just not up to snuff this year. This is I mean about the Bearcats they are 6-20 ATS against the Big East and often I have expected them to rise to the occasion only to fall short. So, why today, why shOuld the win here? I coulD say the home team is 8-1 ATS in the last nine meetings and the favorite is 8-2 ATS, but what I see is that Xavier have been the dominate favorite but when the Bearcats are favored by seven or more they have won by 20 and 15 points. Cincinnati on an 8-game run goes to nine! Take CINCINNATI! |
12-07-18 | Lakers v. Spurs | 120-133 | Win | 100 | 10 h 12 m | Show
L.A. Lakers at San Antonio 8:30 ET Spurs over Lakers- This game to me will say a lot about the Spurs! 'We' have don't quite well playing against them to date but at some time they will be in a spot where they need it and 'we' need it and tonight is one of those night. To start with this is the second of back-to-back meetings, the Lakers won in Los Angeles 121-113 Wednesday as LeBron James took over in the final quarter scoring 14 straight points and 42 overall. San Antonio has lost four of five with three of the losses by 30-points or more. Oddly enough this in the fourth and final meeting of the of the season with the Spurs winning the first two. But, as I mentioned earlier this is a pivotal game for San Antonio to gather the troops LaMarcus Aldridge, Rudy Gay and dear I say, DeMar (The Hoax) DeRozan (God, I hate that guy!) But, I more than like the Spurs to respond as professionals and win here. If you have to lay -120 or anything close on the 'money line,' I would. Take SAN ANTONIO! |
