11-26-21 | Tennessee Tech +23 v. Tennessee | 69-80 | Win | 100 | 2 h 57 m | Show
Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles are 2-3 S/U and 2-2 ATS on the season. The Eagles are coming off a win over Lipscomb, 88-77, covering the 2.5-point line. Tech is 0-2 S/U and 2-0 ATS on the road. They have covered at UT Chattanooga and Memphis on the road. Tennessee is 3-1 S/U and 2-2 ATS. They are coming off a win over North Carolina, 89-72 as a 3-point favorite. Their only loss coming at home to Villanova, 53-71 as a 2-point dog. Tech get 22.5-points and really this game has much more meaning for Tech since this is a big game for them and a bump in the road for Tennessee. I'll take the big points here today with Tennessee Tech. |
11-24-21 | Memphis -2.5 v. Virginia Tech | 69-61 | Win | 100 | 9 h 16 m | Show
NIT Season Tip Off from Brooklyn, NY has evening action between Memphis and Virginia Tech. Both these teams come into tonight's contest undefeated. The Memphis Tigers are 4-0 S/U and 2-2 ATS on the season. The Tigers are coming off a win over Western Kentucky, 74-62, but failed to cover the 14.5-point line. Virginia Tech is 5-0 S/U and ATS on the season, though they have yet to face competition of tonight's level. The Hokies have yet to be a favorite of fewer than 11-points with four of their games 19-points or more. Now they are a dog against a much higher class opponent. I don't believe this Tech team is all that good and tonight should prove it. Play Memphis. |
11-24-21 | VCU v. Syracuse -5 | 67-55 | Loss | -107 | 5 h 45 m | Show
Battle 4 Atlantis College Tourney action here today from Atlantis Grand Island has Virginia Commonwealth taking on Syracuse. The VCU Rams are 2-2 S/U and ATS on the season. They are coming off a loss at home to UT Chattanooga on Saturday, 54-56 as a 3.5-point favorite. They will take on Syracuse in the opening round of this tourney. The Orange are 2-1 S/U and 1-2 ATS thus far and coming off a Saturday loss to Colgate, 85-100 as a 11.5-point favorite. The Orange will want to get that taste out of their mouths when they play VCU here today. VCU saw their season end early as they had to withdraw from the NCAA tournament due to Covid issues. I look for VCU to have a hard time cracking this Syacuse zone defense here today. I'll lay the points with Syracuse. |
11-24-21 | Vermont v. Appalachian State +5 | 65-63 | Win | 100 | 3 h 41 m | Show
Gulf Coast Showcase final round action has Vermont taking on Appalachian State today from Estero, FL. The Vermont Catamounts are 4-2 S/U and 2-3 ATS on the season. They are coming off a win last night to Evansville, 58-49. This will be their third game in three nights after losing to Oakland in round one of the tournament, 61-63. The will face a Appalachian Moutaineers team that is 3-3 S/U and 1-4 ATS on the season. The Mountaineers are coming off a win over Akron in the tourney, 57-45 as a 2-point dog. They lost in the opening round to Delaware, 68-75 as a 3-point dog. These tournaments are very tough on teams and test their depth as this is the only time of the year they play three games in three nights. I'll take the points in what I expect to be a tight contest. Play App St. |
11-24-21 | Loyola-Chicago +2.5 v. Michigan State | 61-63 | Win | 100 | 1 h 11 m | Show
Early action today from the Battle 4 Atlantis first round from Atlantic Paradise Island has Loyola Chicago taking on Michigan St. The Loyola Ramblers off to a fast start at 4-0 S/U and 2-2 S/U. The Ramblers have had a few days off before this tourney after beating Illinois Chicago on Saturday, 80-63. The Ramblers have been at least 18-point favorites in every game thus far. So today's 2.5- point dog line will come as a bit of shock to them. Then again, they are moving up in grade against Big 10 foe Michigan St. The Spartans are 3-1 S/U and ATS this season. They lost their opening game to Kansas 74-87 and since have beaten Western Michigan, Butler and Eastern Michigan, all by at least 19-points. Should be a great game, I'm going to take Loyola here though. |
11-23-21 | Nuggets v. Blazers -6.5 | 100-119 | Win | 100 | 9 h 17 m | Show
The Denver Nuggets look to stay above the .500 mark today as they travel to Portland to take on the Blazers. The Nuggets are 9-8 S/U and 7-10 ATS on the season. They are just 2-5 S/U and ATS on the road and being outscored by a 102.0-108.9 margin. The Nuggets have lost four straight games both S/U and ATS. Their last win came against these Blazers on Nov 14th at home, 124-95. Portland is also 9-8 S/U and 8-9 ATS on the year. The Blazers are much better at home where they are 8-1 S/U and 7-2 ATS and outscoring their visitors by a 116.1-104.9 margin. The Blazers have won three straight games both S/U and ATS. I look for Portland to continue their home dominance against a struggling Denver team tonight. Play Portland. |
11-23-21 | Fordham v. Delaware -6.5 | 71-81 | Win | 100 | 7 h 43 m | Show
Gulf Coast Showcase from Estero FL here today. The Fordham Rams look to build on their most recent game, a win over Akron, 63-43. That snapped a two-game losing skid. The bad spot on the resume is a home loss to Maryland Eastern Shore, 73-75 as a 12.5-poing favorite. The Delaware Blue Hens are 3-1 and after losing their opening game of the season to Davidson they have rattled off three straight wins. The Hens are 2-2 vs the number. The Hens are laying 6.5 here today. They have played much better competition and played much better. I'll take Delaware. |
11-23-21 | Heat -9.5 v. Pistons | 100-92 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 22 m | Show
The Miami Heat off to a very good start at 11-6 S/U and 12-5 ATS on the season. The Heat haven't been great on the road with a 5-5 S/U and 6-4 ATS mark, but are still outscoring their hosts by a 108.7-105.1 margin. The Heat are coming off a loss at Washington last game, 100-103 as a 2.5-point favorite. That loss snapped a four game win streak. As for Detroit, new year, same old song. The Pistons are 4-12 S/U and 7-9 ATS overall. They are 2-7 S/U and 4-5 at home and being outscored by a 99.7 to 107 ppg average. The Pistons have lost two in a row and are coming off a loss to the Lakers, 116-121, though they did cover the 7-point line. Heat just too good and while this is a lot to lay on the road, I have no confidence in the Pistons. Play Miami. |
11-23-21 | George Mason +3.5 v. Nevada | 69-88 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 14 m | Show
The George Mason Patriots have looked pretty good to start the season at 4-2 S/U and ATS. They started 4-0 before dropping their last two games, including last night vs Washington, 74-77. Tonight, they play a team they would normally never play in Nevada. This game will be played in Sioux Falls, North Dakota. Nevada is still smarting from their defeat last night by South Dakota State, 75-102 as a 2.5-point dog. The Wolf pack opened the year with a win over Eastern Washington and have since dropped four straight games and are 1-3 vs the number in that span. Defense has been the issue, as they have allowed 73 or more points in all five games for an average allowed of 84.4 ppg. Now they have to lay around 5-points to a very good GM team? I don't think so, I'll take Mason and even look for an outright win. |
11-23-21 | Wisconsin v. Houston -7.5 | Top | 65-63 | Loss | -105 | 4 h 13 m | Show |
MAUI Invitational Second round action has the Wisconsin Badgers taking on the Houston Cougars. The Badgers beat the Texas A&M Aggies in the first round yesterday, 69-58 and covering the 3-point line. Wisconsin is now 3-1 S/U and 2-2 ATS on the season. The Badgers shooting has not been good, hitting over 40% from the field in just one of four games. The defense is good as it is always, holding opponents to just 53.3 ppg on the season. Houston had little trouble with Butler in the opening round, 70-52, covering the 10-point spread. The Cougars are 4-0 S/U and 3-1 ATS on the season. In fact, they have won their last games by 18 (Butler), 20 (Virginia) and 27 (Rice). All impressive wins. They are holding their opponents to just 55 ppg and scoring 74.8 ppg. Always tough in these tournaments playing back to back games as they are today. Houston is just too good on offense and almost equal on defense. I'll lay the points in what I believe won't be a close game. Play Houston. |
11-22-21 | Providence +1.5 v. Northwestern | 77-72 | Win | 100 | 9 h 46 m | Show
A pair of 4-0 teams meet tonight in the Legends Classic first round from Newark, NJ. Providence is not only 4-0 S/U but 2-2 vs the number. They are coming off a win over New Hampshire, 69-58 as a 13.5-point favorite. The Friars have shot 51% from the field or better in three of their four games. They have also held their opponents to 39% or less in three of four games. Northwestern is 4-0 S/U and 3-1 ATS. The Wildcats are coming off a win over Farleigh Dickinson, 82-46, as a 24.5-point favorite. They Cats have shot really well from 3-point arc, 33% or better in all games. Should be a great game, but I'll take the Friars in this one. Take Providence. |
11-22-21 | College of Charleston +16.5 v. Oklahoma State | 66-96 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 14 m | Show
The College of Charleston Cougars are 3-1 S/U and ATS as they head to Oklahoma State for tonight's contest. The Cougars are coming off their first loss of the season last time out against North Carolina, 83-94, but covered the 12.5-point dog line. The Cougars have outrebounded three of their four opponents so far. The Oklahoma State Cowboys are 4-1 S/U and 3-2 ATS so far. The Cowboys one loss came in a big upset by Oakland, 55-56 as a 17-point favorite. They are coming off a win in their last game over NC State, 74-68 as a 4.5-point favorite. The Cougars getting 16 points here should be enough for them to come in under that number. take the dog, play College of Charleston. |
11-22-21 | Harvard -4.5 v. Siena | 69-72 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 15 m | Show
The Harvard Crimson is 3-1 S/U and 2-0 ATS so far this season. They are coming off a win over MIT, 98-52. Their last board game was a win at Albany, 60-53 as a 6.5-point favorite. This might have been a nice test for the Crimson tonight, however Seina is 0-4 S/U and ATS on the season. The Saints are coming off a loss at Georgetown, 65-83 as 15.5-point dogs. They have yet to be a favorite in a game. Again here tonight, they are the dog on their home court to Harvard. This Siena team lost by 20 points at home to Delaware and I believe Harvard is better then they are. I'll lay the points with Harvard. |
11-22-21 | Ohio State v. Seton Hall -2 | 79-76 | Loss | -115 | 5 h 15 m | Show
Opening round of the Fort Myers Classic Beach Division here tonight has Ohio State taking on Seton Hall. Ohio State is 3-1 S/U and 1-3 ATS on the season. The Buckeyes are coming off their first loss of the year at Xavier, 65-71 as a 2.5-point favorite. The Buckeyes had their worst shooting performance as they hit just 37.7% from the field and had eight fewer rebounds. Seton Hall is 3-0 S/U and ATS to start the season. The Pirates are coming off a huge win over Michigan, 67-65 as a 8-point road dog. The Pirates look to be the real deal and I look for them to beat their second straight Big-10 team here tonight. Play Seton Hall. |
11-21-21 | Knicks v. Bulls -5 | 103-109 | Win | 100 | 9 h 59 m | Show
The New York Knicks in the 2nd of a back-to-back spot here tonight. The Knicks won, but didn't cover last night at home against Houston, 106-99. However, they trailed for almost all the first three quarters of that game. The Knicks have been hit and miss lately, going 2-3 the last five and 4-6 their last 10. They have to face a Chicago Bulls team that is 11-5 S/U and ATS on the season. The Bulls played Friday at Denver and came away with the win, 114-108 as a 1-point road dog. That was their third win and cover in their last four games. The Knicks have to be tired after a tough battle last night and then hitting the road for today's contest. Good spot here for the Bulls. Play Chicago. |
11-21-21 | Villanova +3.5 v. Purdue | 74-80 | Loss | -110 | 2 h 5 m | Show
Hall of Fame Basketball Tip off Finals today from Uncasville, CT has 3-1 Villanova taking on 4-0 Purdue for the crown of this tourney. Villanova could easily be 4-0 if they didn't collapse at the end of their game at UCLA back on Nov 12 and then lose in OT. Still, the Cats are 3-1 S/U and 2-2 ATS. Purude does come into this final undefeated at 4-0 S/U and 3-1 ATS on the season. They are coming off a win over North Carolina, 93-84. They also have wins over Wright St, Indiana St and Bellarmine. The Boilermakers have scored at least 90 points in all four games. This looks to be one of the best games of the day with two top 10 ranked teams facing off. I'll take the couple of points though. Take Villanova. |
11-20-21 | UC San Diego -3.5 v. CS Sacramento | 71-56 | Win | 100 | 11 h 53 m | Show
San Diego comes into today's contest with a 3-0 S/U and 2-0 ATS record. They are coming off a win over SD Christian, 97-60. They have a big win over Cal on opening night, 80-67 as a 14.5-point dog. Then they came right back with another big win over George Washington, 75-55 as a 1-point dog. Sacramento State is 2-1 S/U and 1-1 ATS on the season. They opened with a win over William Jessup, 89-59 and then lost at Utah, 56-89 as a 18.5-point dog. They came back on Monday with a win over Cal Poly SLO, 58-57 as a 5-point dog. San Diego is outscoring their opponents by a 84-60.7 margin. San Diego right now looks to be much better with bigger wins on its resume. I'll take the visitor in this one and lay the points. Play San Diego. |
11-20-21 | Hornets v. Hawks -6.5 | 105-115 | Win | 100 | 9 h 57 m | Show
Charlotte Hornets having a decent season at 10-7 both S/U and ATS. The Hornets are one of the few teams that are averaging in the high numbers with a 112.8 ppg average and 113.6 ppg allowed average. Those numbers are even a bit higher allowed on the road where they average 111.3 and allow 115.6 ppg. The Hornets bring a five-game win streak into today's contest at Atlanta, but S/U and ATS. They are coming off a win at home over Indiana, 121-118 as a 1-point dog. The Hornets hit the road here today after a four-game home stand. The road wasn't kind in their last trip, going 1-4 S/U and ATS. Atlanta Hawks are 7-9 S/U and 6-10 ATS on the season. The Heat are about even in scoring with 109 ppg for and 109.5 ppg against. After a stint that saw the club go 0-6 both S/U and ATS they have now won and covered their last three. They have also been scoring with 120, 129 and 110 points in those three games. The team has done well at home with a 6-1 S/U and ATS record in seven games. They have also outscore their visitors by a 115-7 - 104 margin. I look for the Hawks to continue their winning ways at home. Play Atlanta. |
11-19-21 | Mavs v. Suns -8.5 | 104-112 | Loss | -103 | 9 h 53 m | Show
The Dallas Mavericks are 9-5 S/U and 6-7-1 ATS on the season. The Mavs have been outscored though, 104.5 to 105.6 overall. The Mavs and Suns just played on Wednesday with the Mavs losing 98-105, but covering the 8-point spread. Today, they look to be without one of their best players in Luka Doncic, who is doubtful with an ankle injury. Doncic averages 24.9 ppg this year. The Suns improved to 11-3 on the season with that win over the Mavericks. Phoenix started the season 1-3 and have now won 10 straight games and are 7-3 ATS during that spread. I look for the Suns to take this second game too, an with Doncic likely out they should get the cover in this one. Play Phoenix. |
11-19-21 | Florida International -5 v. Green Bay | 63-60 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 44 m | Show
The Florida International Golden Panthers are 2-1 S/U and 1-1 ATS after three games. The Panthers are coming off a win and cover over Ball State, 73-60 as a 1.5-point favorite. They also played Georgia, losing 51-58 as a 6.5-point dog, narrowly missing the cover. They play a Wisconsin Green Bay Phoenix team that is still looking for their first win of the season against three losses. The Phoenix lost to Indiana State in their opener, 77-81 as a 2.5-point dog. Then lost at Wiscosin, 34-72 as a 21-point dog and then lost last time out to UNC Greensboro, 58-60, but covering the 10-point dog line. This is not a very good Green Bay team and today they will find it difficult to get that first win against a very good FIU club. Play FIU. |
11-19-21 | Pacers v. Hornets -1 | 118-121 | Win | 100 | 6 h 52 m | Show
The Indiana Pacers are just 6-10 S/U and 8-8 ATS to start the season. The Pacers have lost two straight games on this two-game road trip. They are coming off a loss at Detroit, 89-97 as a 6.5-point favorite. The Pacers are now 2-8 S/U and 4-6 ATS on the road and being outscored by a 103.6 - 107.2 margin. The Charlotte Hornets bring a four game S/U and ATS win streak into today's game and have improved to 9-7 S/U and ATS overall. They are 5-2 S/U and ATS at home and outscoring their opponents, 113.4 to 110.4 on their home court. Charlotte looks to be the team with the momentum and playing much better. I'll take the home team here. Play Charlotte. |
11-19-21 | Marquette +5 v. West Virginia | 82-71 | Win | 100 | 6 h 44 m | Show
College tournament action here today as the Marquette Golden Eagles look good out the gate with a 4-0 S/U and 2-2 ATS mark. The Eagles have won and covered the least two games against ranked Illinois, 67-66 as a 8-point dog and then over Ole Miss, 78-72 as a 3.5-point dog. The will face a 3-0 West Virginia team here today. The Mountaineers opened with a win over Oakland, 60-53 as a 17.5-point favorite, then beat Pitt 74-59 as a 17-point favorite and then last game beat Elon, 87-68 as a 14-point favorite. This will be the first game for WVA away from home. Marquette getting 5.5-points here today. I'll take that on a neutral court. |
11-19-21 | Weber State -9.5 v. Ball State | 85-74 | Win | 100 | 4 h 13 m | Show
Weber State Wildcats are 3-0 S/U and 2-0 ATS to start their season. They opened with a win over Western St College and then had two nice wins over Duquesne, 63-59 and then last game over U Mass, 88-73. Ball State is just 1-2 S/U and 0-3 to start their season. They opened with a loss at GA Southern, 71-82, then lost at home to Neb-Omaha and Fla Intl, failing to cover all three spreads. Ball State is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 Friday games and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 overall games. They are also 4-11 ATS in their last 15 as a dog. Weber is 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games overall and 12-5 ATS in their last 17 as a favorite. I'll lay the points here with Weber State. |
11-19-21 | Bradley v. Colorado State -13 | 60-66 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 46 m | Show
The Bradley Braves are 1-2 S/U and 0-2 ATS to start the season. They opened with losses to South Dakota State, 65-81 as 9-point dog, then to Howard, 64-76 as a 12.5 point favorite. They won last time out vs Missouri S&T, 92-66. Colorado State is 3-0 S/U and 1-0 ATS to start their season. They opened with a win and cover over Oral Roberts, 109-80, then beat Arkansas Pine Bluff, 91-71 and last game over Peru State, 88-62. CSU has dominated all three games this season and looked stacked with returning players including on one of the best in the Mountain West, Isaiah Stevens. Bradley won't stand much of a shot against this high scoring CSU team today. Play Colorado State. |
11-18-21 | Marquette +3.5 v. Ole Miss | 78-72 | Win | 100 | 7 h 49 m | Show
Shriner's Children Classic opening round here today. The Marquette Golden Eagles are off to a fast 3-0 start. They opened with a win over SIU Edwardsville, 88-77, losing to the 21-point number. Then they beat New Hampshire, again failing to cover the 12.5 point line. Finally, last game out they beat No 10 ranked Illinois, 67-66 and covered as a 8-point dog. The Ole Miss Rebels are 2-0 S/U and 1-1 ATS. They opened with a win over New Orleans, 82-61, but failed to cover the 23-point line. Last game they won and covered against Charleston Southern, 93-68. Marquette coming off that amazing win over highly ranked Illinois. On a neutral floor I'm sticking with Marquette. Â Â Â Â |
11-17-21 | Arkansas-Little Rock +13.5 v. Loyola Marymount | 63-82 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 53 m | Show
The Arkansas Little Rock Trojans are 3-0 S/U to start the season and 1-0 AS. The Trojans are coming off a win over Arkansas Baptist, 91-60 and Champion Baptist before that, 115-51. Their one test was a narrow win over Southern Illinois, 69-66 as a 6.5-point dog. The Loyola Marymount Lions are 1-1 after losing to UT Chattanooga to open the season 64-75 as a 7-point favorite. They are coming off a win over Arizona Christian, 75-67. Neither outing very impressive for this Lions team. I'll take the visitor here tonight. Play Arkansas Little Rock. |
11-17-21 | Lakers v. Bucks -9 | 102-109 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 1 m | Show
Lebron James continues to be out for the Lakers as they make the trip East to take on the Milwaukee Bucks tonight. The Lakers are 8-7 S/U and 5-10 ATS on the season. They are being outscored overall 109.8 to 112.5 on the season. The are 1-2 both S/U and ATS on the road and being outscored 110 to 116.3 per game. The defending Champion Bucks have struggled to a 6-8 S/U and ATS record this year. They have lost two straight games including last time out at Atlanta, 100-120. The Bucks return home after a five game road trip in which they went 2-3 both S/U and ATS. The Lakers are 4-9-1 ATS in their last 15 road games and 5-13 ATS their last 18 games overall. The Bucks are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games as a favorite. With James out still and the Lakers making the long Eastern trip, I'll take the Bucks tonight. |
11-17-21 | George Mason +9.5 v. Maryland | 71-66 | Win | 100 | 6 h 53 m | Show
A pair of 3-0 teams meet here tonight as Maryland hosts George Mason. The George Mason Patriots are not only 3-0 but have covered all three spreads. They opened with a win over Stony Brook, 74-52, then beat Penn, 87-66 and last game over Morgan State, 90-53. The Patriots have shot at least 50% from the field in each game and over 45% from the 3-point line in their last two games. Maryland is also 3-0, but just 1-2 vs the number. They are coming off a win over Vermont, 68-57, just covering the 9-point line. Unlike Mason, they have shot 36.7% vs Vermont and 37.5% vs George Washington. They play a very good George Mason team here today and are laying right around 10-points. Their field goal shooting has me concerned though. I'll take the points in this one. Play George Mason. |
11-17-21 | Drexel -1 v. St. Joe's | 78-75 | Win | 100 | 6 h 52 m | Show
The Drexel Dragons are 1-1 beating Neumann College 103-74 and then losing last game at Syracuse, 60-75 as a 15.5-point dog. Syracuse shot great from the field, 55.6% and 50% from 3-point arc. St Josephs Hawks are 2-0 coming into tonight. The Hawks have two softball wins on their resume, 69-67 over Maryland Eastern Shore and 80-60 over Mount St Marys. They covered against St Marys but didn't against Eastern Shore. The latter a 24.5-point favorite and they won the game by just 2-points. Can't put a lot of stock in St Joe's early wins, especially the one they were 24.5-point favorites. This is a team that was 5-15 last year and 11-41 in the two years under HC Billy Lange. Drexel made the NCAA last year and have Wynter back this year. I'll take Drexel here tonight. |
11-16-21 | Seton Hall +8.5 v. Michigan | 67-65 | Win | 100 | 6 h 6 m | Show
The Seton Hall Pirates put their perfect 2-0 record on the line as they travel to Big 10 Powerhouse Michigan tonight. The Pirates have had an easy go of it thus far with blowout wins over Fairleight Dickinson, 93-49 and then Yale, 80-44. They are also 2-0 ATS in those two games. The test comes tonight at Michigan. The 4th ranked Wolverines are also 2-0 S/U and 1-1 ATS. They beat Buffalo to open the season, 88-76, but just failed to cover the 12.5-point line. Last game they won easily against Prairie View A&M, 77-49 as a 23.5-point favorite. The Pirates should be taken lightly as they rank 35th in the Kenpom power rankings. This Pirates team also has experience and depth which they will need tonight. The Pirates will be able to run bodies in and out of the game and I fully expect them to hang with the Wolverines. Play Seton Hall. |

11-16-21 | St. Louis v. Memphis -10.5 | Top | 74-90 | Win | 100 | 7 h 31 m | Show |
The St Louis Billikens are 3-0 to start their season and 2-0 ATS. They haven't really played anyone of significance yet with wins over Central Arkansas, Harris Stowe and their last game over Eastern Illinois, 86-44 as a 21-point favorite. The will face the 11th ranked Memphis Tigers tonight who are 2-0 S/U and 1-1 ATS on the season. The Tigers opened with a win over Tennessee Tech and then last time out beat NC Central, 90-51 as a 28.5-point favorite. St Louis Freshman Gibson Jimerson has been a early bright star, averaging 18.7 ppg through the first 3 contests. Memphis has aspirations of a long trip through the NCAA's this year. This Tigers teams is expected to be one of the best defensive teams in the nation this year. This Memphis team looks to be a early favorite in the country to win and win big. Yes, St Louis is undefeated, however they haven't faced a dynamic team like Memphis yet. This is just too much quality for the Billikens. Play Memphis. |
11-16-21 | Warriors +3.5 v. Nets | 117-99 | Win | 100 | 5 h 10 m | Show
The Golden State Warriors look to be the early surprise team at 11-2 S/U and 9-4 ATS on the season. The Warriors are coming off only their 2nd loss of the season at Charlotte, 102-106. That snapped a 7 game win streak both S/U and ATS. The Warriors are 3-1 S/U and 2-2 ATS on the road. They are outscoring their hosts 112-106 in the four games. The Nets are 10-4 S/U and 7-7 ATS on the season. The Nets have won three straight and covered two of those. They are 4-2 S/U and 3-3 ATS at home and outscoring opponents 105.2-100.7. This looks to be a great game, but I'll take the points with the Warriors who can win this outright. |
11-16-21 | Austin Peay v. IUPU Ft Wayne -7 | 60-65 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 31 m | Show
The Austin Peay GOvernors take their 1-1 record on the road to Indiana Purdue-Fort Wayne here tonight. The Governors opened the season with a slim win over Martin Methodist, 86-79. They were outshot from both the field and 3-point line in that contest. Last time out they went to Southern Illinois and lost badly, 55-73 as a 13.5-point dog, again getting outshot 39% to 57%. The defense has been horrible thus far and if they hope to compete tonight they will have to improve. IUPU-Fort Wayne is 1-0 after beating a overwhelmed Earlham College, 103-54. This will be their first real test tonight for the Mastodons. Austin Peay is 0-6 ATS in their last six road games while the Mastodons are 4-1 ATS overall their last five games. I don't like this Austin Peay defense, even against a poor opponent they played poorly. I'll lay the points tonight with Fort Wayne even though they only have one game played. Play IUPFW |
11-15-21 | Furman v. Belmont -6 | 89-95 | Push | 0 | 8 h 14 m | Show
The Furman Paladins bring a 2-0 record into this evenings contest at Belmont. The Palidins pulled off the big upset win in their last game over Louisville in OT, 80-72. This followed their win over NCU-Greenville, 118-66. Furman shot 42.9% from three-point arc vs Louisville and held the Cardinals to just 36.2% overall shooting and 24.1% 3-point shooting. The Belmont Bruins are 1-1 to start the season. They lost their opener to Ohio U, 80-92 as a 4-point home favorite. Then followed with a win over Evansville, 81-43 as a 14-point favorite. Furman is only 2-8 ATS in their last 10 road games and 0-8 ATS in their last eight game after a ATS win. Have to throw out that NCU Greenville game as everyone scores 100+ against that team. The Louisville win was a resume builder, but the fact that the Cardinals were just horrible and still forced OT is something to think about. I don't like Furman on the road and Belmont will build on their last win. Play Belmont. |
11-15-21 | Pelicans v. Wizards -4.5 | 100-105 | Win | 100 | 6 h 23 m | Show
New Orleans Pelicans won for just the second time this season in their last game at home over Memphis, 112-101. That makes them 2-12 S/U and 6-8 ATS on the season. They are 1-6 S/U and 2-5 ATS on the road, getting outscored 97.7 to 111.4 on the year. Meanwhile the Wizards are off to an excellent start at 9-3 S/U and 8-3-1 ATS. They are 5-1 S/U and 3-3 ATS at home. The Wizards have covered the last five meetings with the Pelicans in Washington and are 9-3 ATS the last 12 meetings overall. Don't see Washington having much trouble today with the Pelicans. Play Washington in a blowout. |
11-15-21 | Celtics v. Cavs +2.5 | 98-92 | Loss | -103 | 6 h 23 m | Show
The Boston Celtics look to get back to the .500 mark here tonight at Cleveland. The Celtics are 6-7 S/U and 6-6-1 ATS on the season. They are 4-4 and 4-3-1 ATS on the road this year. They just played Cleveland on Saturday, losing 89-91 as a 1.5-point road favorite. The Cavs are not proving to be the pushover everyone expected, at least thus far. The Cavs are 9-5 S/U and 10-3-1 ATS on the season. They are 5-3 S/U and 4-1-1 ATS at home and outscoring their visitors by a 100.5 to 97.7 margin. Pretty much same line as Saturday. If the Cavs can keep this game slow and a half court game, then I see the same outcome. Play Cleveland. |
11-14-21 | Idaho State +4 v. Seattle University | 51-77 | Loss | -110 | 19 h 28 m | Show
11-13-21 | Texas +7.5 v. Gonzaga | 74-86 | Loss | -109 | 12 h 32 m | Show
Battle of ranked teams here as No 5 Texas takes on top Ranked Gonzaga from the Great Northwest tonight. Texas gets the opportunity to show just how good they are tonight against the nation's top ranked team. If there is a game that Texas can catch Gonzaga sleeping a bit, this is the one early in the season. This Texas team is excellent on defense and they will need it against one of the best scoring teams in the nation. This early, I'll take a good defensive team like Texas in this spot. Take the points. |
11-13-21 | UTEP +7.5 v. New Mexico State | 71-77 | Win | 100 | 10 h 3 m | Show
Rivalry game here tonight in the I-10 Battle has UTEP taking on New Mexico State from Las Cruces. UTEP opened the season with a win over Western New Mexico, 85-57. New Mexcico State also opened with a win over UC Irvine 62-51. UTEP has a new coach in Joe Golding. Golding led led Abilene Christian to a NCAA tournament last year. NM State always a good defensive team, it's on offense they need to find more points. They averaged just 71.1 ppg last year. The Aggies return three starters, but also lost some bench production too. I like this new coach for UTEP and will take the points with his new team tonight. Play UTEP. |
11-12-21 | Villanova +3.5 v. UCLA | 77-86 | Loss | -108 | 10 h 16 m | Show
UCLA gets tested early as they host Villanova at Pauley Pavillion tonight. Both these teams are ranked in the top 5 in the country. Villanova opened with an easy winner over Mount St Mary's, 91-51 while UCLA had little trouble with Cal Bakersfield, 95-58. Villanova lost leading scorer Jeremiah Robinson-Earl to graduation but return plenty of talent on this team. UCLA is one of the best shooting teams in the nation. They are also one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the nation. They hit on 13-of-27 from three point land vs Bakersfield. This will be a high scoring affair tonight as both teams can shoot lights out. I'll take the dog in this one. Play Villanova. |
11-12-21 | UL - Lafayette -3 v. Southern Miss | 66-45 | Win | 100 | 6 h 24 m | Show
Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns opened their season on Tuesday with a win at home over West Florida, 81-47. The defense was outstanding, holding West Florida to just 27.3% from the field an 21.1% from 3-point arc. The Ragin' Cagins his 47.9% from the field though they need to improve on free throws, hitting just 45.5%. The play at Southern Miss tonight. The Golden Eagles got a win on Tuesday at home over William Carey, 81-57. One big problem for the Eagles is they got outrebounded 43-76. My numbers tonight show ULL a bigger favorite then what he have right now. I'll take ULL against a Southern Miss team that doesn't look to have a very good season. Play ULL |
11-12-21 | Northern Colorado -2.5 v. Hawaii | 81-78 | Win | 100 | 8 h 8 m | Show
Both these play their second games of the season tonight in Hawaii as the Warrior Rainbows host the Northern Colorado Bears. On Wednesday, the Bears beat Pacific, 67-65 and Hawaii beat Hawaii-Hilo, 97-67. No Colorado finished last year at 11-11 (6-8 in conference). Hawaii has had a winning record in each of their last five seasons, but that might a tall hill to climb this year as they will be without their top two scorers from last year in Justin Webster and James Jean-Marie. Both those players transferred out of Hawaii after last season. NO Colorado has all it's top players back from last year. Both teams will have to see about conditioning after playing last night. I am taking Northern Colorado as they have more returning talent back this year. |
11-11-21 | Pacers v. Jazz -10 | 111-100 | Loss | -107 | 10 h 17 m | Show
The Indiana Pacers are off to a 4-8 S/U and 6-6 ATS start this season. The Pacers are coming off a loss at Denver, 98-101 as a 3-point favorite. They will play their fourth road game on this Western swing tonight at Utah. Problem is that the Pacers played last night in Denver, which is high altitude, and now plays in Salt Lake City which is also high altitude. Back-to-back is enough to take something from a team, let alone the altitude. Utah is 8-3 S/U and 7-4 ATS on the season. The Jazz had last night off after beating Atlanta on Tuesday, 110-98. That snapped a two-game losing streak for the Jazz. I like this situation here tonight as the Jazz had the night off and get the Pacers in the 2nd of a back-to-back spot. Take Utah. |
11-11-21 | Air Force +8 v. South Dakota | 53-59 | Win | 100 | 4 h 37 m | Show
Early action here on the Thursday college hard court as Air Force takes on South Dakota. This non-conference game opens the season for both teams. Air Force was just 5-20 in Joe Scott's first year as head coach. South Dakota was 14-11 last year and lost in the Summit League semi-finals to North Dakota State. These clubs have met two times in the past with Air Force taking both those games. Air Force is not known for offense as they play a ball-control game with lots of movement. South Dakota is the better team here, but if Air Force can play their normal ball control and keep the score lower, they will cover this spread. Play Air Force. |
11-10-21 | Heat -4 v. Lakers | 117-120 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 45 m | Show
The Miami Heat off to a good start this season at 7-3 S/U overall and ATS. The Heat are coming off a loss at Denver last time out, 96-113. The Heat are even in scoring this season at 101.1- 101.5 overall. They are outscoring opponents on the road though, 109.4-104.2 this season. The LA Lakers are 6-5 S/U and 3-8 ATS on the year. They snapped a two-game losing streak last time out, 126-123 over Charlotte, covering the 2-point line. The Lakers ongoing injury saga continues tonight with F Anthony Davis probable and F Lebron James out (abs). Also hurting, G Rajon Rondo is questionable. This looks to be the them for the Lakers this year and for me, I'll take the Heat to win this one going away tonight. Play Miami. |
11-10-21 | Thunder +4 v. Pelicans | 108-100 | Win | 100 | 8 h 44 m | Show
Oklahoma City Thunder are 3-6 S/U and 5-4 ATS on the season. The Thunder have won two straight games S/U and three straight vs the number. They are coming off a win over San Antonio, 99-94 as a 3.5-point dog. New Orleans Pelicans are the big disappointment of the season thus far. The Pelicans are just 1-10 S/U and 4-7 ATS on the season. They last won back on October 25th at Minnesota, 107-98. The are being outscored 100.5-112.3 overall and 105-5-113.8 at home. The Pelicans will be without Zion Williamson tonight who has a foot injury. They may also be without forward Brandon Ingram, who is questionable with a hip injury and has averaged 23 ppg in his six games this year. Yet, here they sit a 4-point favorite. Go figure that one out. I'll take the points in this game and look for OKC to win outright. |
11-10-21 | William & Mary v. Wake Forest -15 | 59-77 | Win | 100 | 7 h 32 m | Show
William & Mary Tribe play their opening game of the season on the road tonight at Wake Forest. The Tribe are coming off a 7-10 season and 4-6 conference mark. Wake also coming off a poor season that saw the Demon Deacons go 6-16 overall. Will & Mary returns four starters and added senior Brandon Carrol who averaged 11.3 ppg last year for Florida Southern. The Tribe will need to improve on their three-point shots as they ranked 291st in the nation from beyond the arc last year. Wake had to endure a full month off between games last year due to Covid. That can put a hinder into anyone's game. The roster has nine new players, which could be good after such a dismal season last year. They do return Davien Williamson who averaged 12.9 ppg last year. Don't know what to fully expect from this Wake team yet, but I'm going to take them here tonight against a William & Mary team that returns players but to a losing team. Take Wake Forest. |
11-09-21 | Blazers +3 v. Clippers | 109-117 | Loss | -107 | 9 h 20 m | Show
The Portland Trailblazers are 5-5 S/U and 4-6 ATS on the season. They have won two straight games and are coming off a win over the Lakers, 105-99 as a 5.5-point favorite. The Blazers already faced the Clippers once this season back on October 25 where they lost at LA, 86-116 as a 3-point dog. The Clippers are 5-4 S/U and ATS on the season. After starting the season 1-4 they have won four straight games. They are coming off a home win over Charlotte, 120-106. The Clippers are just 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games. I'm going to take the dog here today as the Blazers look for that first road win. Play Portland. |
11-09-21 | Towson -2 v. Albany | 77-56 | Win | 100 | 6 h 12 m | Show
First meeting ever between these basketball teams. Albany Great Danes are led by Antonio Rizzuto who was the America East All Defensive team player. Albany has a new coaching staff and really a new team with nine new players suiting up for the purple and gold. Not a lot to go with here in opening games but Alabany looks to be a team that will take time for both coaches and players to get used to each other. I'm going to take Towson here on opening night. |
11-09-21 | Southern Illinois -5.5 v. Arkansas-Little Rock | 66-69 | Loss | -111 | 5 h 12 m | Show
Full schedule of action today to tip-off College Hoops season. Tonight, Southern Illinois Salukis take on the Little Rock Arkansas Trojans. SIU was 12-14 last season while Little Rock was 11-15. SIU started 7-0 last year in non-conference games but then faltered once they got into conference. I look for the Salukis to be much improved this year in a conference that is crowded with some good teams. They have 2020 Freshman of the Year Marcus Domask back and a very good backcourt. Look for this version of the SIU team to be a lot better. Play Southern Illinois. |
11-08-21 | Hawks v. Warriors -3.5 | 113-127 | Win | 100 | 9 h 60 m | Show
The Golden State of old looks to have returned after a few down years. The Warriors are 8-1 S/U and 6-3 ATS on the season. They have covered four streak games and blowout out their last four opponents by 13, 41, 21 and 22 points. They have a 5-1 home record and have covered four of those. They are also outscoring opponents on their home floor by a 113.2-97.2 margin. The Atlanta Hawks are just 4-6 overall on the season and 3-7 vs the spread. They are playing the third game of a west coast swing that saw them lose at Utah on the 4th 98-116 and then at Phoenix on Saturday, 117-121. Yet here are the Warriors just a 3.5-point home favorite tonight. I don't understand this line at all. I'm taking the Warriors. |
11-08-21 | Heat -1.5 v. Nuggets | 96-113 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 59 m | Show
The Miami Heat have gotten off to a excellent start at 7-2 S/U and ATS. They are coming off a big win over Utah, 118-115 as a 2-point favorite. The Heat are outscoring opponents 111.7 - 100.2 this season. They are doing well on the road too, 3-1 S/U and ATS and outscoring home teams 112.8 - 102.0. Denver finally back above the .500 mark with their win over Houston last game, 95-94 as a 11.5-point favorite. The Nuggets have failed to cover the spread in three straight games. The Heat are now 10-2-1 their last 13 games as a favorite and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 road games. I like Miami here tonight. |
11-06-21 | 76ers v. Bulls -3.5 | 114-105 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 49 m | Show
Eastern Conference clash here today as Philly hits the road to play in Chicago. The Sixers have won five straight games and covered four straight. They are coming off a road win at Detroit last game, 109-98 as a 4.5-point road dog. One of those games included a home win over the Bulls, 103-98, covering the 2.5-point home line. Philly hit 43% from the 3-point arc in that contest and still only won by five points. The Chicago Bulls are 6-2 S/U on the season. Their last game was that loss at Philly. Their only other loss coming at the hands of the Knicks. The Bulls laying just 3 or 3 1/2 points here today. I'll take Chicago in what shouldn't be close. Play Chicago |
11-05-21 | Pelicans v. Warriors -9.5 | Top | 85-126 | Win | 100 | 10 h 59 m | Show |
The New Orleans Pelicans have struggled greatly thus far, going 1-8 out of the shoot. The Pelicans have lost five straight and are 2-3 vs the number. They are coming off a 99-112 loss at Sacramento on Wednesday. They have been outscored 103.2-111.2 on the season. Their one win came on the road at Minnesota back on Oct 25th, 107-98. They will face a Golden State team that is 6-1 S/U to start the season. They are also 4-3 ATS. The Warriors are coming off a win over Charlotte, 114-92. The Warriors have been very good and New Orleans has struggled. The Pelicans will also be without F Zion Williamson and F Brandon Ingram is questionable. I'll lay the points with the Warriors. |
11-04-21 | Celtics v. Heat -6.5 | Top | 95-78 | Loss | -103 | 10 h 59 m | Show |
The Boston Celtics play their third game in four nights as they travel to Miami tonight to play the Heat. The Celtics won last night at Orlando, 92-79. That win snapped a three game S/U and ATS losing streak. The Celts haven't done well with no rest between games, evidenced by their 4-9 ATS record that last 13 in that situation. They are also 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall and 2-5 ATS their last seven road games. The Heat are off to a great start, 6-1 S/U and ATS on the season. They have won five straight games and are coming off a blowout of Dallas on Tuesday, 125-110. They have outscored their last three opponents by 15, 26 and 15 points. They are also 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 games when installed as the favorite. The Heat have also covered seven of the last 10 in this series with the Celtics. Everything points to one side in this game, the Heat. |
11-03-21 | Hawks +5 v. Nets | 108-117 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 15 m | Show
The Atlanta Hawks are 4-3 S/U and 3-4 ATS so far this season. They are coming off a win at home over Washington on Monday, 118-111 as a 5.5-point favorite. The Hawks are narrowly outscoring opponents this year, 107.9-106.6 overall. The will face the Brooklyn Nets tonight who are still without star Kyrie Irving. The Nets are coming off a win on Sunday over Detroit, 117-91 as a 12-point favorite. It was the teams second win in row, as they sit at 4-3 S/U and 3-4 ATS on the season. The Nets are about even in scoring as they average 104.6 ppg on offense and in defense. Nets haven't been scoring like they did last year and now they have to cover a 5-point spread against a good Hawks team. I'll take the points in this one. Play Atlanta. |
11-01-21 | Wizards v. Hawks -5.5 | 111-118 | Win | 100 | 8 h 58 m | Show
The Washington Wizards hit the road tonight to face the Atlanta Hawks. The Wizards are 5-1 S/U and ATS on the season. The Wizards have won and covered three straight games including their last game at home over Boston, 115-112 as a 2-point chalk. They have outscored opponents 112.7 - 108.5 this season. They also beat Atlanta on the 28th of October, 122-111 at home as a 3-point dog. The Hawks are off to a 3-3 S/U and ATS on the season. They have lost two straight games, including last time out at Philly, 94-122 as a 3.5-point dog. The Hawks are just outscoring opponents, 106.2 - 105.8 overall. Atlanta has been much better at home though where they are 23-8 ATS in their last 31 games. They are also outscoring opponents at home, 117.5 - 95.5 this year. I look for the Hawks to get some payback tonight against the Wizards. Play Atlanta. |
11-01-21 | Spurs +3 v. Pacers | 118-131 | Loss | -104 | 7 h 29 m | Show
The San Antonio Spurs have started the season with a 2-4 S/U and 4-2 ATS record thus far. They are coming off a win at Milwaukee, 102-93 as a 7-point dog that snapped a four game losing streak. The Spurs are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games and 20-8-1 ATS in their last 29 games as a road dog. They are also 9-3-1 ATS in their last 13 games playing on 1 day rest. The Pacers one of the disappointing teams this year at just 1-6 S/U and 2-5 ATS on the season. They are coming off a loss at home to Toronto, 94-97 as a 2.5-point favorite. It's been a rough start for the Pacers. They could be without shooting guard Malcom Brogdon tonight who is questionable with a hamstring injury. Brogdon has averaged 23.4 ppg through five games. With or without Brogdon, they shouldn't be laying points until they can win games outright. Play San Antonio. |
10-29-21 | Clippers v. Blazers -2.5 | 92-111 | Win | 100 | 12 h 38 m | Show
The LA Clippers are just 1-3 S/U and 2-2 ATS to start the season. They are coming off a loss at home to Cleveland, 79-92 as a 8-point favorite. It was also their season low in scoring, just 79 points. They had season lows in shot percentage, 35.6% and 22% from 3-point. Portland is 2-2 S/U and ATS after winning at home against Memphis on Friday, 116-96. The Blazers have a +4 point differential thus far, but that number goes up to +15 in their home games. The Clippers are +2 in point differential and -2 on the road. Short line here tonight with the Blazers at home. I'll lay the points with the host in this one. Play Portland. |
10-29-21 | Kings -2 v. Pelicans | 113-109 | Win | 100 | 10 h 38 m | Show
The Sacramento Kings are 2-2 after winning on Wednesday at Phoenix, 110-107 as a 8-point dog. The Kings opened the season with a win at Portland, 124-121 and then lost their next two home games between last night's win. The New Orleans Pelican are just 1-4 S/U and 3-2 ATS to start the season. The Pelican lost their first three games before they won at Minnesota, 107-98. They are coming off at loss at home to the Hawks, 99-102, but covered the 5-point dog spread. The Kings are now 10-1 ATS in their last 11 road games. The Kings seem to be playing better on the road right now. I'll take the Kings tonight. |
10-28-21 | Knicks +1.5 v. Bulls | 104-103 | Win | 100 | 8 h 8 m | Show
The NY Knicks look to improve on their 3-1 record here tonight as they travel to Chicago to take on the Bulls. The Knicks are coming off a win at home over Philadelphia, 112-99. The Knicks have a +9.0 point differential thus far on the young season. The Bulls are a perfect 4-0 S/U and ATS on the season as they enter play tonight. However, two of those wins came against Detroit and one against Toronto, both those teams having terrible seasons last year. Tonight will be their first true test of the young season. Some may read more into this 4-0 Bulls start then I think it's worth. Sure they are holding teams to just over 95 ppg, but again, look at the quality of those teams. I think the Knicks are the better team and they prove it here tonight. Play New York. |
10-28-21 | Hawks -2.5 v. Wizards | 111-122 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 8 m | Show
The Atlanta Hawks off to a nice start to the season at 3-1 S/U and 2-2 ATS. The defense has played well, allowing just 97.8 ppg thus far. They are coming off a win at New Orleans, 102-99, though they failed to cover the 5-point favorite line. The Washington Wizards also 3-1 S/U and ATS on the season. The Wizards lone loss coming at Brooklyn, 90-104. They bounced back last game with a win at Boston last night, 116-107. They now have to play their second of a back-to-back spot here tonight. That's always tough in the NBA. Not happy about laying 2 or 3 points on the road with the Hawks, but they are good enough to cover that, especially with the Wizards playing a tough road game last night. Play Atlanta. |
10-24-21 | Magic v. Knicks -11.5 | 110-104 | Loss | -107 | 8 h 53 m | Show
Orlando off to another bad start to a season after just two games. The Magic are 0-2 both S/U and ATS. They lost their opener to the Spurs, 97-123 and then played the Knicks on Friday and lost 96-121. Now they turn right around and face the Knicks again, this time in New York. The Knicks are off to a 2-0 start both S/U and ATS. In addition to their win over Orlando, they started the season with a 138-134 road win at Boston and covered the two-point chalk line. The Magic are just 7-18-1 ATS in their last 26 overall games. The Knicks are 22-8 ATS in their last 30 games as a home favorite. I look for a New York blowout here tonight. |
10-22-21 | Spurs +7.5 v. Nuggets | 96-102 | Win | 100 | 8 h 16 m | Show
Both these teams opened the season with wins. The Spurs opened with an easy win at home over Orlando, 123-97 while Denver won at Phoenix, 110-98. The Spurs have been a very good road team dating back to last season, 14-6-1 ATS in their last 21 road games. The Nuggets are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. Not a lot to go on this early, but after watching the Spurs win the other night, I'll take them here plus the points. Take San Antonio. |
10-21-21 | Clippers v. Warriors -3 | 113-115 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 25 m | Show
The Golden State Warriors opened their season at the Lakers a few nights ago and while they trailed for three quarters they made a huge run in the 4th quarter to pull away for the win. The Warriors outscored the Lakers in the 4th quarter 38-29 en route to their win, 121-114 and the cover. This just kept up where they left off last year. The Warriors are now 7-0 ATS over their last seven games. The Clippers have played well too, finishing last year on a 7-3 ATS run their last 10 games. This series is usually high scoring with 16 of the last 27 going over the total. I really liked the way the Warriors looked in their win over the Lakers. They may be showing they are a team to contend with once again in the Pacific division. Take Golden State here tonight. |
10-20-21 | Wizards v. Raptors -2.5 | 98-83 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 60 m | Show
The Washington Wizards open the season on the road as they travel to Toronto to take on the Raptors. The Wizards were beaten in the playoffs in five games to the Philadelphia 76ers. Meanwhile, Toronto finished out of the playoff picture last year in 12th place. The Raptors have won nine of the last 10 in this matchup. Both teams going through changes from last year's version of their club. Washington dumped most of their veteran players for younger ones. Early in the season it's hard to get a handle on teams, but I like the Raptors here in this spot tonight. Play Toronto. Â Â Â Â |
07-14-21 | Suns v. Bucks -4 | Top | 103-109 | Win | 100 | 23 h 24 m | Show |
Game four of the NBA Finals as the Milwaukee Bucks look to even this series at 2-2 here on Wednesday. The Bucks made some adjustments in game three and they paid off big. Milwaukee won game three 120-100. The Bucks fell behind 25-28 after one quarter but used a 35-17 2nd quarter to get the lead and cruised the rest of the way. I expect the Suns to be more focused here on Wednesday. However, I still believe Milwaukee will win this game, though not by the game three margin. Home court means a lot in this series and this one is looking more and more like a 7-game series. I'll take the Bucks here today. Play Milwaukee Bucks. |
07-01-21 | Hawks +2 v. Bucks | 112-123 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 14 m | Show
The NBA Eastern Conference finals have the Milwaukee Bucks hosting the Atlanta Hawks. Game five here tonight sees this one all tied up at 2-2 after the Hawks took game four, 110-88. Now tonight the Bucks could be without their best player, Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was downgraded to doubtful tonight. Antetokounmpo averages 28.1 points per game. The Hawks could also miss their best player in Trae Young. Young is questionable tonight with an ankle injury. Bucks are still a favorite, though a slight 2-point chalk. For me, with Antetokounmpo likely out I'll have to take the few points with the Hawks. Play Atlanta. |
06-30-21 | Suns v. Clippers +1 | Top | 130-103 | Loss | -115 | 10 h 5 m | Show |
Game 6 of the Western Conference Championships tonight have the LA Clippers once again looking to stave off elimination and the Phoenix Suns trying to get to the NBA Finals. LA likes living on the edge, having trailed 1-3 in three straight playoff series. Yet again they won when down and forced another game. The Clippers will be without Kawhi Leonard again tonight, something they have had to learn to live with. Once again this should be a good defense contest. The Clippers have dominated on the glass and they will need to limit Phoenix 2nd chance shots again tonight. I am going to take the Clippers here tonight, even without Leonard. They seem to have a knack of making big comebacks and I'm looking for another here tonight. Play the Clippers. |
06-27-21 | Bucks v. Hawks +4.5 | Top | 113-102 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 4 m | Show |
After stealing game one against the Milwaukee bucks, the Atlanta Hawks had a horrid game two, losing 91-125. Now they return to their home court State Farm Arena for game three with the series tied 1-1. The Bucks put together a complete game two, something we haven't seen from them in these playoffs. Good news for the Hawks is that whether they lost by 1-point or 25-points, it's still just one loss and they are tied in the series. This is a key game for Atlanta as they need to stop the team they saw in game two. Atlanta really needs this game as they have to put that last game behind them. Nate McMillan has this team playing well and I believe he will have them ready for a great effort here tonight. Getting 4.5 points is a nice bonus. Take the points with the home Hawks here tonight. |
06-26-21 | Suns v. Clippers +1 | Top | 84-80 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 41 m | Show |
The Clippers look to even this series here tonight, trailing 1-2 in this best of seven Western Conference Championship. The Clippers lost games one and two at Phoenix and bounced back in game three with a win 106-92. The Clippers have covered two of their three with the Suns and six of their last seven games overall. It looks like the Clippers will once again be without Kawhi Leonard who is still nursing that knee injury. The Clippers proved last game they can win vs the Suns without Leonard in the lineup. I look for the Clippers to event he series here tonight. Play LA Clippers. |
06-24-21 | Suns v. Clippers +1.5 | 92-106 | Win | 100 | 10 h 33 m | Show
The Phoneix Suns look to put the LA Clippers on the edge of extinction in these playoffs with game 3 here tonight at the Staples Center. The Suns took games one and two in Phoenix. For the Clippers, this is just deja vu all over again. The Clippers have trailed 0-2 in both their previous playoff series. The problem this time is that Kawhi Leonard is out and that's a big difference. The Clippers just came up short in game two, losing 103-104 at Phoenix. The failure of the Suns to cover that game was their first non-cover in the last nine games. Tonight, the Suns welcome back Chris Paul, who had missed the previous games with Covid Protocols. Clips on the ropes here again tonight. Do they have another miracle comeback in them again? I think they have to put it all together tonight or they will be going home. Play LA Clippers. |
06-22-21 | Clippers +5 v. Suns | Top | 103-104 | Win | 100 | 10 h 21 m | Show |
The Clippers look to even their series tonight with the Phoenix Suns at 1-1 after dropping game one of the series, 114-120. Paul George did his part for the Clippers, hitting seven, 3-point shots for 34 total points. The Sun won despite playing without one of their stars in Chris Paul. The Clippers have covered four of their last five overall games while the Suns are 25-10 ATS at home their last 35 games. Kawhi Leonard remains out for the Clippers tonight as does Chris Paul for the Suns. I'll take the Clippers to bounce back here in game two tonight. Play Clippers. |
06-20-21 | Hawks +7 v. 76ers | 103-96 | Win | 100 | 10 h 49 m | Show
The Sixers forced this game seven here on Sunday as they look to advance in the playoffs. The Sixer blew 18-point leads in back-to-back games so they have no one to blame but themselves. The Hawks blew a half time lead in game six or they wouldn't even need this game today. The Hawks now need a upset win on the road to advance. Star players on both teams are having up and down series from game to game. So who will show up today is the question. With the Sixers showing they have trouble holding big leads, I'll take the generous points with the Hawks here in game seven. Play Atlanta. |
06-19-21 | Bucks v. Nets -1.5 | 115-111 | Loss | -109 | 8 h 59 m | Show
Game 7 here today between the Bucks and the Nets from Brooklyn. The Bucks staved off elimination at home in a game 6 blowout win, 104-89. The Nets won the first two games of this series and then have lost three of the last four games. However, the Nets have not lost at home and today they are just a 1 1/2 to 2 point favorite so they need to do little more than win. The Nets will have to win without one of their Big Three in the lineup. Kyrie Irving looks to miss this game with an ankle injury. Even without Irving, I like the Nets to hold home court and win the series today. Play Brooklyn. |
06-18-21 | Jazz -2 v. Clippers | 119-131 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 4 m | Show
Game six here in the Western Conference Semifinals as the Utah Jazz look to stave off elimination at LA and force a game seven back in Utah. The Jazz opened this series with a pair of wins at home then went to LA and lost both in blowout losses. They returned home where they lost game five, 111-119. It's always about injuries and tonight there are a few key ones. The Jazz have guard Donovan Mitchell (ankle) who is listed as questionable for this game. The Clippers look to be without Kwahi Leonard tonight who has a knee injury. The Clippers won game five without Leonard and look to have to do so again tonight. Jazz are a one-point road favorite here tonight. I look for them to win this game and force that game seven. Leonard's loss will be hard for the Clippers to survive for a second straight game. Play Utah. |
06-17-21 | Nets v. Bucks -5.5 | 89-104 | Win | 100 | 33 h 60 m | Show
This best of seven semifinal series has the Nets up 3-2 after taking game five on Tuesday night, 114-108. The Nets played without two of their big three stars and were trailing at the half but rebound behind 49 points from Kevin Durant. Tonight, Nets guard Kyrie Irving is now questionable with an ankle injury. James Harden looks to be back here tonight. Nets head coach Steve Nash could give some of his oft injured stars some extra time off here in game six with the thought of returning home and having fresher players for a game seven on their home court. Either way, I look for Milwaukee to take game six here tonight on their home court. Play Milwaukee. |
06-14-21 | Jazz +5 v. Clippers | 104-118 | Loss | -104 | 10 h 18 m | Show
The Clippers look to even this best of seven series here tonight in LA at 2-2. After a pair of loss in Utah, the Clipper had a blowout win in game three over the Jazz at the Staples Center. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George combined for 65 points in game three for the Clippers. The line here tonight has moved to Clippers -5 points. For me I feel this is a bit too high as the Jazz can win this one outright. I'll take the points with the visitors here today. Play Utah. |
06-13-21 | Nets -1.5 v. Bucks | 96-107 | Loss | -115 | 28 h 1 m | Show
The Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks had a rare low scoring affair in game three as neither team looked very sharp in the Bucks win, 86-83. The Bucks didn't get the cover though as most numbers were 3.5 on Milwuakee. Still, the Bucks were lucky to survive as they trailed 83-80 last in the fourth before take a 84-83 lead with 11 seconds left. A Nets three-point miss led to a pair of foul shots and the final 86-83 Milwaukee win. Sunday the Nets could have James Harden back who has not played since the opening minute of game one with a hamstring issue. The oddsmaker must expect Harden back as the Nets went from a 3.5 dog to a 2-point favorite here in game four. I didn't like the way the Bucks have looked in any of the three games. With or without Harden I'm on the Nets here in game four. Play Brooklyn. |
06-11-21 | Suns v. Nuggets -1.5 | 116-102 | Loss | -107 | 10 h 31 m | Show
The Denver Nuggets in desperate need a win here in game three as the venue returns to the Mile High City. It's been two blowout victories for the Suns thus far, including Wednesday night's 123-98 mismatch. Chris Paul has been the catalyst for the Suns in the playoffs, with 26 assists and just one turnover in the first two games of this series. The Nuggets MVP Nikola Jokic has been excellent, averaging 23 points and 11 points through the first two games. However, after Jokic, there hasn't been much help. Home court can definitely help and the Nuggets know they can't go down 0-3 and have any chance. This is their best effort game right here. Play Denver. |
06-11-21 | 76ers v. Hawks +1.5 | Top | 127-111 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 11 m | Show |
This Eastern Conference series moves to Atlanta tonight for game three as the Hawks look to take 2-1 advantage and hold home court against the Sixers. The Sixers rebounded from their game one loss at home with a 118-102 win in game two. The Hawks find themselves a 1.5 point home dog here tonight. Atlanta has been a good covering team at home, going 25-13 and 20-6 ATS over their last 26 at home. Philly forward Joel Embiid always seems to be the focal point with his injuries. Embiid is questionable with a knee injury tonight. The Hawks have only trailed at the half in one playoff game and that was game two vs Philly. This is a team that gets out of the gate fast and I look for that again here tonight. This Hawks team very good at home and I'll take them as a short home dog. Play Atlanta. |
06-10-21 | Clippers +3.5 v. Jazz | Top | 111-117 | Loss | -110 | 14 h 32 m | Show |
6/10 07:00 PM PT / 10:00 PM ET |
06-08-21 | Clippers v. Jazz -4 | 109-112 | Loss | -110 | 13 h 3 m | Show
The LA Clippers had to survive seven games to advance to this stage of the playoffs. Dallas turned out to be much more difficult then the Clippers might of thought as they lost three home games and faced two elimination games. Now they have to face the top seed in the West, Utah. The Jazz have the third best defense in the league thanks to Rudy Gobert, likely the top defensive player in the league. The Clippers will have to do a better job defensively or Utah will kill them from 3-point arc, as Dallas did. Dallas allowed the second fewest 3-point attempts in the league and that could be an issue for a Clippers team that doesn't drive the paint all that much. A lot of questions should be answered here in game one. For me, I'll take the Jazz against a Clipper team that was very inconsistent. Play Utah. |
06-08-21 | Hawks v. 76ers -5.5 | Top | 102-118 | Win | 100 | 10 h 28 m | Show |
The Philadelphia 76ers look to even this best of seven series at 1-game apiece here on Tuesday. The Hawks stole game one in Philly and now can at least know they go back to Atlanta tied at worse. The big question here in game two is the health of Sixer's Joel Embiid. It was Trae Young that stole the show in game one, scoring 35 points and having 10 assist. Embiid played game one and played well with 39 points and nine rebounds, though he was only on the floor for 38 minutes. Officially, Embiid is questionable tonight with that bad knee. Despite being way down, the Sixers showed heart in coming back to make the final more respectable and after sleepwalking through most of game one, I expect to see a different Philly team here in game two. Look to see a different attitude starting this game tonight. Play Philadelphia. |
06-07-21 | Nuggets v. Suns -5 | 105-122 | Win | 100 | 9 h 4 m | Show
Game one the NBA Western Semifinals here as the Suns host the Nuggets tonight. The Nuggets got past the stubborn Trailblazers while the Suns downed defending Champion LA Lakers. The Nuggets are led by star player Nikola Jokic who had a great first round. Michael Porter also emerged as a breakout player in their first round series. The Suns will rely more on Devon Booker in this series as Chris Paul has been banged-up but should play tonight. And of course the Nuggets again will be without star player Jamal Murray who is out for the rest of the playoffs with a ACL injury. This is going to be a tough series, one that could easily go seven games. Tonight, Booker leads the way for the Suns as they cover game one. Play Phoenix. |
06-07-21 | Bucks +1 v. Nets | Top | 86-125 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 33 m | Show |
Game two in the NBA 2nd round between the Bucks and Nets as Milwaukee looks to even the series at 1-1 before returning home for game three. The Nets took game one, 115-107 in a low scoring game for two of the highest scoring teams in the NBA. The line has dropped from game one as the Nets now a 1.5-point favorite and the total at 234.5 in this Eastern Conference Semifinal. One big loss for the Nets is that of James Harden. Harden pulled up lame in the opening minute of game one with a hamstring issue and will not play here in game two. Both these teams have been hot with Brooklyn winning 10 of the last 11 and the Bucks going 12-2 their last 14. I don't expect the Bucks offense to be flat like it was in game one as they scored 12 fewer points then their season average. Even with their poor shooting they weren't too far off in game one. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 34 points and 11 rebounds. I fully expect a big rebound game here tonight out of the Bucks, especially with Harden on the shelf for this one. Play Milwaukee. |
06-03-21 | Nuggets v. Blazers -5 | Top | 126-115 | Loss | -103 | 19 h 43 m | Show |
It took two OT periods, but the Denver Nuggets took game five, 140-147 as Denver is one game away from the series win. The Nuggets had numerous leads of 9-points or more in game five including the first OT, but Portland kept coming back and back. The Nuggets even led by 20-points in the 2nd quarter, only to see the Blazers rally. Denver continues to be without Jamal Murray who is done for the rest of the playoffs. Portland has their back to the wall here tonight and I like them to respond and even the series at 3-3. Play Portland. |
06-02-21 | Mavs v. Clippers -7 | Top | 105-100 | Loss | -113 | 9 h 56 m | Show |
It looked like the Dallas Mavericks were going to walk away with this series after taking both games 1 and 2 in LA. Then the series moved to Dallas where the Clippers returned the favor, stealing games 3 and 4 on the Mavs home court. Now we go back to the Staples Center all tied at 2-2. Dallas could be without Luka Doncic who is battling a neck injury. Doncic looks like he could play tonight, but how effective he will be remains to be seen. With Doncic hurting in game four the Mavs offense sputtered. Leonard has been great for the Clippers this playoff series. These teams are slower paced teams and that remains so in the playoffs. Still, the seven points may look like a lot for the Clippers to lay here tonight. But not for me, with Doncic likely not near 100% and the Clippers riding a two-game win streak I'll take them here tonight. Play LA Clippers. |
06-01-21 | Blazers v. Nuggets -2 | 140-147 | Win | 100 | 8 h 19 m | Show
Game five of this Western Conference playoff matchup between the Portland Trailblazers and the Denver Nuggets. The series is tied at 2-2 as the Nuggets host this pivotal game five. The Blazers won game four to tie the series in a blowout victory, 115-95. The Nuggets will need a more inspired effort here on Tuesday. With Jamal Murray out until next season, that means the role players need to step up their efforts. Denver couldn't play much worse then they did in game four, hitting a dismal 29% from the 3-point arc and 34% overall from the field. Michael Porter was the person Denver looked for to pick up the Murray void and that didn't happen. Porter had just three points in game four in his 22 minutes of action. I'm taking Denver to bounce back here before the home crowd on Tuesday. They know what needs to be done and it has to be done tonight. Play Denver. |
06-01-21 | Celtics v. Nets -12.5 | 109-123 | Win | 100 | 5 h 22 m | Show
Bad blood spilled over into the stands in the last game between these teams with the fan and Kyrie Irving getting into some post play fun. That could come back into tonight's game as the venue returns here to Brooklyn after a Nets blowout at the TD Garden in game four, 141-126. The Nets shot 57.8% from the field and 59% from the 3-point stripe. The Nets can wrap up this series here tonight as they lead 3-1 in the best of seven match. The Celtics will be without guard Jaylen Brown who is out with a wrist injury. Center Robert Williams was downgraded to doubtful with a ankle injury as was Kemba Walker also downgraded to doubtful with a knee injury. WIth all the hurts going on with Boston and the Nets flying high after game three, this has all the markings of blowout win and series clicher by the Nets. Play Brooklyn. |
05-31-21 | Jazz -5.5 v. Grizzlies | Top | 120-113 | Win | 100 | 10 h 34 m | Show |
Memphis stole game one of this best of seven series in Utah and since then it's been all Utah as they now lead 2-1 and have regained home court advantage. Tonight's game could be the end for the Grizzlies. A Utah win means the Jazz return home with a 3-1 lead and likely the end to this series. While the Jazz started slow in game one they came back late to make it close. Then the Jazz won games two and three by double-digits. The Jazz leading scorer in Donovan Mitchell missed game one but returned in game two and that made a world of difference. Memphis has played well, but I'm afraid not well enough. I'm going to take the Jazz vs the spread (-5.5 points) and also lay the -2.20 on the Money Line with the Jazz. |
05-29-21 | Jazz v. Grizzlies +5.5 | Top | 121-111 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 2 m | Show |
Memphis stole game one of this best of seven series from the Jazz in Utah, 112-109. However, the Jazz pounded them back in game two, scoring 141 points en route to a 141-129 victory. The Grizzlies did whittle that down to just two points before the Jazz pulled away late. Memphis plays their first game of this series at home tonight and they are getting 5 or 5 1/2 points. The Grizzlies have covered their last five home games as a dog. This Grizzlies team won't go down without a fight and while the odds are against them to win the series, I believe they will cover a lot of these spreads. I'm taking Memphis on their home court plus the points tonight. Play Memphis. |
05-28-21 | Knicks +5 v. Hawks | Top | 94-105 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 1 m | Show |
This best of seven series heads South to Atlanta with both teams having gained a win in New York. The Knicks need to find a way to defend Hawks guard Trae Young who has scored 62 points and hit over 51% from the field. The one thing the Knicks have is depth as the Hawks lack that experience coming off the bench. The Knicks have played well on the road, going 23-13 ATS this year. They have also covered nine of their last 11 road games against teams with a winning record. The Knicks have still done well vs the Hawks, going 15-5-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings and 18-7-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings at Atlanta. Take the Knicks plus the points here in game three. |
05-27-21 | Suns +7.5 v. Lakers | 95-109 | Loss | -110 | 12 h 48 m | Show
This best of seven series is now tied at 1-1 after the Lakers took game two. This might be the most evenly matched series in the NBA playoffs. Chris Paul got hurt for the Suns in game one and that was a big issue as he played just 23 minutes in game two. With the day off the Suns are hoping Paul can get healthy for game three here. Paul will play here tonight but how healthy is he? This series looks to be a seven-game series as both teams are toss-ups in a game-to-game issue. For me the points look to be the way in this series and I'm going to take the Suns plus the points here on Thursday, hoping also that Paul will be back to full strength. Play Phoenix. |
05-27-21 | Bucks v. Heat +2 | Top | 113-84 | Loss | -113 | 17 h 45 m | Show |
The Miami Heat have their collective backs against the wall as they return to Miami here on Thursday down 0-2 in this best of seven series. If they have any hope to make this a series they need a win here in game three. The Bucks blew out the Heat in game two, opening up a huge lead and never looking back. They led by 26 points at the end of the first quarter. Jimmy Butler has also struggled in the first two games of this series. Butler was 4-for-22 in game one and 4-for-10 in game two. Butler not playing a leadership role in this series thus far. The Heat coaches will have to put a fire under the Heat here tonight if they hope to avoid doing down 0-3 in this series. I'll take a shot as the Heat play for some pride after the demolishing they took in game two. Miami in a situation where it's now or never. Play Miami here in game 3. |
05-24-21 | Heat +4.5 v. Bucks | 98-132 | Loss | -100 | 10 h 52 m | Show
Game 2 of this best of seven series between the Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks. The Heat lost game one, but it took OT from the Bucks to take it 109-107. The Heat got the cover though as a 4.5-point dog. Here again tonight the oddsmaker has installed the Bucks as a 4.5-point favorite. Game one was filled with some impressive defense and neither team really held big leads. Miami's Jimmy Butler made the buzzer-beater to send the game to OT, though Butler did struggle offensively hitting just 4 of 22 from the field for 17 total points. I look for another strong defensive game here on Monday. I took the points in game one and I'll do that again here in game two. Play Miami. |
05-22-21 | Heat +5 v. Bucks | Top | 107-109 | Win | 100 | 63 h 38 m | Show |
Milwaukee likely will remember being bounced from the buble last year in the playoffs by the Miami Heat. The Bucks own a 2-1 record over the Heat this season. However, Heat star Jimmy Butler was missing in both of those losses. Miami had an excellent March, going 11-4-1 ATS. Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo struggled this year vs the Heat, averaging just 16.7 ppg. I expect a very close series here as the Heat seem to dial up the temperature in the postseason. Milwaukee not as good as last year either. I'll take the points here in game one. Play Miami. |
05-19-21 | Spurs +4.5 v. Grizzlies | 96-100 | Win | 100 | 8 h 35 m | Show
Both teams limped into this Western Conference play-in game tonight. The Grizzlies got dismantled by Stephen Curry and the Warriors last game, 101-113. The loss snapped a five game win streak by the Grizzlies. The Spurs look to snap a four-game losing streak here tonight. They lost back-to-back games to the Suns their last two games. The Spurs have been a great road team this year, going 14-6-1 ATS in their last 21 away games. They are also 4-0 ATS their last four time they have got two days rest. The Grizzlies are 0-4 in their last four games as a home favorite. They are also 1-4 ATS in their last five overall. I'm going to take the points here with the Spurs as I look for them to win this game outright. Play San Antonio. |

05-14-21 | Pelicans +1 v. Warriors | 122-125 | Loss | -115 | 5 h 34 m | Show
Coming down to the last few games in the NBA regular season. The New Orleans Pelicans in desperate need to win out if they hope to even make 10th place and a play-in game. They sit in 11th place, two games back of the Spurs. The Warriors have have clinched a play-in berth as they sit in 8th place, tied with the Grizzlies for 9th. Other than 8 or 9th place the Warriors are pretty much set. Maybe that's why Stephen Curry will miss tonight's game, though he is listed with an injury. The Pelicans will also be without one of their stars in Zion Willamson, who has a finger injury. Forward Brandon Ingram is questionable for the Pelicans with a ankle injury. Despite the injuries, this game has more meaning to the Pelicans who can still make the postseason. Take New Orleans. |

05-13-21 | 76ers v. Heat -2 | 94-106 | Win | 100 | 8 h 37 m | Show
The Philadelphia 76ers look to have the East best record tied up as they sit in 1st place, 1.5 games ahead of second place Brooklyn. The Miami Heat are in 5th place tied with the Knicks and just a half game back of the Hawks. So the Heat have a lot more on the line here tonight then do the Sixers. The Sixers' Joel Embiid is questionable tonight with an illness. The Heat guard Jimmy Butler is also questionable with an eye injury. Philly is coming off a loss at Indiana on Tuesday, 94-103. The loss snapped a 7-game winning streak. Miami has won three straight and six of the last seven games. They have also covered three in row and six of seven. I expect Butler to play tonight as the Heat have more to do before the end of the regular season. Play Miami. |
