Jameis Winston 2020 New Team?
Jameis Winston is a free agent for the first time since being the number 1 overall pick in 2015. The Buccaneers just signed Tom Brady, so the likelihood of Winston wanting to return as a backup is slim. Where will Winston sign? There are a few teams that need a new mean under center and WInston could suffice their needs. Lets look at the odds of teams that will sign Winston.

The first wave of NFL free agency and off-season acquisitions are done, but there is still plenty of big name moves to be made. Jameis Winston will be looking for a new home in 2020 after the Buccaneers decided to sign Tom Brady. There are a few intriguing options for Jameis, some as a starter and some as a backup.

I am here to assess the odds of each team that may sign Winston and the probability that they will make a move on the stat stuffing, turnover machine.
Jacksonville Jaguars +200
As of now, the Jaguars have the best odds to sign Winston, which may be surprising to some. Many think that Minshew is a capable starter and can man the offense after the team decided to move on from Nick Foles. But, there is a glaring possibility that the Jags would want to bring in an accomplished NFL arm to compete for the starting job.
I think Winston would be willing to compete for a job and this is one, quite frankly, I think he would win.
New Orleans Saints +325
I understand the logistics of the Saints, but do not agree with it. I doubt Winston will be willing to forfeit two years (possibly more) of his prime to sit behind Drew Brees and possibly get the starting role once Brees retires.
I would stay away from this line.
Miami Dolphins +350
The Dolphins traded for Josh Rosen last off-season in a move that they hoped would land them a franchise quarterback. After his underwhelming 2019 campaign, there is a good chance the Dolphins are looking for another QB to add to their improved roster.
Although the physical logistics would be appealing for Winston, I think if the Dolphins are set with adding a quarterback, it will come by way of the 5th overall pick in this years draft. However, they may have to trade up to get their guy and if they are unable to do so, I am a fan of Winston landing in Miami.
Denver Broncos +550
Drew Lock was a premium pick in last year’s draft and I would be shocked to see them go after Winston.
New England Patriots +750
The Patriots said they “have a plan.” Knowing how the Patriots and Bob Kraft operates, I would be surprised to see their master plan with Jameis Winston manning the offense.
Pittsburgh Steelers +1000
Although I do enjoy the value here, once Big Ben decides to hang his cleats up, I would imaging Pittsburgh would be looking for youth to fill the position. Again, this would be a team Winston would be willing to be a backup for and take a paycut. I don’t see that happening.
Los Angeles Chargers +1500
The Chargers lost Phillip Rivers and will be looking to fill the QB void, but chances are they will roll with backup QB Tyrod Taylor. If they want to bring in another arm to compete, this is a great value play.
THE VERDICT: Miami Dolphins +350
This is contingent on the Dolphins making a trade to land them a high pick to land either Joe Burrow or Tua. I see them being unable to do so and signing Winston. Would they be willing to settle for one Justin Herbert? If the Dolphins are able to make a trade, take the Chargers +1500.
