Andy Dalton 2020 New Team?
The Bengals own the #1 Overall pick are poised to pick LSU QB Joe Burrow to be their next franchise quarterback. That means Andy Dalton could be looking for a new home for the 2020 campaign. Here is a look at the teams with the best odds on landing Andy Dalton and what I think the most plausible option is.

The first wave of NFL free agency and off-season acquisitions are done, but there is still plenty of big name moves to be made. Although Andy Dalton isn’t the most prominent name on the trade block, there are some that still believe he holds value. Whether as a backup or a starter, Dalton is still a capable NFL quarterback.

Joe Burrow will be the new man in Cincinnati, barring any unforeseeable circumstances. Will the Bengals be able to trade Dalton and receive some compensation in return? Or will no team want to take his daunting contract? I asses that here.
Jacksonville Jaguars +175
As of now, the Jaguars have the best odds to sign Dalton, which surprises me. If the Jaguars are going to bring in another arm to compete with Gardner Minshew, I don’t think it would be Andy Dalton. Rather Cam Newton or Jameis Winston makes more sense, in my opinion.
His contract mixed with lack of ability would make him unappealing for the Jaguars. Therefore, I don’t see him playing in Jacksonville next season.
Los Angeles Chargers +200
The Chargers are moving on from Phillip Rivers, but I doubt it will be by way of Andy Dalton. They have claimed trust in Tyrod Taylor and if they decide to bring in an arm to compete with him, there are more appealing options than Dalton. Taylor is a cheaper and possibly better stepping stone to another franchise QB.
New England Patriots +750
Tom Brady is gone and Bob Kraft said he, “had a plan.” I doubt that will be by way of Andy Dalton. Maybe, as a last ditch resort? If all else fails? Then yeah, maybe.
Washington Redskins +750
The Redskins drafted Dwayne Haskins in the 1st round last year and have the second pick in this years draft. If they don’t think Haskins is their franchise guy, they will probably find him in the draft.
Miami Dolphins +850
Just like the Chargers and Jaguars, if the Dolphins want to bring someone in to compete for the starting job, there are more appealing options than Dalton. If the Jags and Chargers get the top options, maybe he ends up with the Dolphins.
Cincinnati Bengals +1000
This is interesting and has a ton of value. What are the chances no one wants to trade for Dalton? Even if a team wants his services, his contract is a thick one. The Bengals could hang on to him to aid the growth of Joe Burrow.
THE VERDICT: Cincinnati Bengals +1000
This is not just the value pick, I think it is the right pick. Dalton probably isn’t going to start next season and there won’t be a team willing to pay that money for a backup. The Bengals could at least use him and may have hims start the first few weeks while they let Burrow get accustomed to NFL life. The Jags, Chargers, and Dolphins would be the only other three teams that I would bat an eye at.
