NFL Divisional Futures
When it comes to betting on the AFC South Futures Odds – 2025/26, there’s one truth that’s held up for years — nothing in this division ever feels secure. The Texans are early favorites, but three other teams are one good stretch from flipping the narrative. Jacksonville’s still dangerous, Indy is loaded with upside, and Tennessee’s lurking in spoiler mode.
This division has seen its share of chaos — and there’s no reason to think that’ll change now. If you’re betting on the 2025-2026 AFC South Futures Odds, forget the headlines — it’s about who stays healthy and catches fire late. Right?
AFC South Division History & Past Dominance
While the AFC South might not carry the prestige of other divisions, it’s been sneaky competitive since its formation in 2002. Early on, Peyton Manning and the Colts ruled the division, winning seven of the first eight titles. Meanwhile, the Titans and Jaguars each had their moments, though both often played second fiddle.
Back in the 1999 season, Tennessee reached the Super Bowl (as a member of the AFC Central), falling just one yard short in one of the most iconic finishes ever. Jacksonville, in contrast, made its deepest playoff run in 2017 — coming within a quarter of knocking off the Patriots in the AFC title game.
Lately, things have shifted again. Houston’s youth movement is paying off fast, and they come in hot after a playoff win and a monster rookie campaign from C.J. Stroud. Jacksonville is still in the mix, although their second-half fade in 2024 raised some real questions.
The Colts are quietly building something interesting behind Anthony Richardson, while Tennessee is clearly resetting — but dangerous in the underdog role.
So yes, the AFC South Futures Odds are tight — and rightfully so.

Houston Texans AFC South Futures Odds – 2025/26
Houston has reached exactly 10 wins each of the last two seasons as they continue their ascent under DeMeco Ryans. C.J. Stroud had a bit of a down year by his standards in an offense that seemed poised to explode before injuries to Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell.
Couple those injuries with poor offensive line play and the Texans were just never able to get to the next level to compete with those top teams in the AFC. Defensively, they were among the league’s elite thanks to a dominant pass-rush anchored by edges Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson, along with a ball-hawking secondary.
All-in-all, the Texans may be one of the shakier divisional favorites in the AFC, making this an interesting division for bettors looking for longer odds.
Re-finding their deep passing game will be key for this team to take a step forward, but weakness on the offensive line may stall those efforts once again.
Jacksonville Jaguars AFC South Futures Odds – 2025/26
The Jaguars have been one of the bigger disappointments in the NFL since drafting Trevor Lawrence first overall in 2021. Once considered a franchise-savior as a clear-cut top pick, now we’re entering the territory where we need to figure out if Lawrence truly is a difference-maker, or if he’s not much of a needle mover at the position after all.
The Jaguars went out and got a head coach who will be able to help them figure that out pretty quickly in Liam Coen, the former Buccaneers offensive coordinator who helped Baker Mayfield put together a 40+ touchdown season last year.
They also added a very intriguing weapon with the No. 2 overall pick this year in the dynamic Travis Hunter, who will play on both sides of the ball this year, but predominantly on offense.
The Jaguars have one of the easiest schedules in the league this year and could be a team to make some noise out of the AFC South.
Indianapolis Colts AFC South Futures Odds – 2025/26
The Colts are at a crossroads as a team that could really go off the rails this year. Head coach Shane Steichen looked like an offensive mastermind coming over from Philadelphia after a solid first year with the team.
But last year was more underwhelming and now the team finds itself with a conundrum at quarterback.
Anthony Richardson, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, completed fewer than half his passes in 2024. He has a huge arm and can run the ball as well as any quarterback, but they just have not been able to put it all together with him.
Now the team may turn to Daniel Jones at quarterback to help save their season, and possibly Steichen’s job.
The roster is largely built to win now, and there are some impressive players at the skill positions, but if you can’t get quarterback right, then none of it matters.
Tennessee Titans AFC South Futures Odds – 2025/26
Brian Callahan’s first season as the head coach of the Titans could have gone very differently if not for a slew of critical turnovers by Will Levis, who went down as one of the most turnover prone quarterbacks in recent history.
Instead, the team earned the No. 1 overall pick in a forgettable season. Now they look to rebuild around Cam Ward, reinforcing his supporting cast with helpful pieces in the skill positions, and an improved offensive line.
The Titans by virtue of their awful year last season, also have one of the easiest schedules in the entire league. The arrow is firmly pointed up for this team.
All in all, they should be able to get past their win total of 5.5, but I think they’re still a year or two away from being able to compete for a division title, even in the AFC South.
