We have now seen bad Cleveland and pretty good Cleveland. We have also been bad Washington an pretty good Washington.
I feel pretty confident that Cleveland has the higher ceiling and floor but I guess we will see on the field too this week..
Different momentum for these teams though after what we saw last week.
Washington Football Team
Washington beat Philly in week one and then lost to Arizona in week two. 1-1 is a solid start but they probably should have lost both games. Their offense is among the worst in the league.
People are lauding Dwayne Haskins for not turning the ball over. That is certainly a good thing but he also doesn’t make many big plays. Some of that has to do with the talent around them but he is not elevating anyone.
Antonio Gibson was drafted in the third round to be a versatile pieces of the offense. I don’t think anyone saw him leading the team in rushing, but that is what we are getting so far.
The running game was just OK anyway but it will be set back by not having Brandon Scherff available. He is a key piece of the interior line.
The injury to CB Kendall Fuller looms large right now. They are going to need some people to cover this week for sure.
Cleveland Browns
Cleveland looked so bad in their first game against Baltimore that they needed a sharp performance in week 2, especially on offense.
Baker Mayfield gets a lot of attention but really this is a running team. They are second in the league in rushing and Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt are the best duo in the league.
Mayfield was actually outplayed last week by rookie Joe Burrow but the Browns had the game in hand the whole time so it might not have looked that way.
If Cleveland was playing a team with a half decent offense I would be more worried but I think their defense can hold up this week.
Cleveland is really suffering from injuries at defensive end for this one. Maybe Washington surprises if they can’t get a pass rush going.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Cleveland -7
I was on Washington in week one and even though I got the win I think it was a little lucky. Probably not going back in that direction any time soon. Don’t like this spot at all. Cleveland can pound the running game to salt the win away.
