I will give you a pick at the end of this blog, but I will preface it by saying this; this blog is going to be in large part an overall vent about the putrid 2020 Cowboys, and 2000’s Cowboys for that matter. I am writing this during the middle of the third quarter of the Cardinals vs. Cowboys game. I actually turned the game off in efforts to write this blog. Sitting here with my computer, my thoughts, and my full stomach of left over ice cream cake and peanut M&M’s.

The Cowboys continue to be one of the biggest let downs across professional sports, and I for one, am sick of it. You may hear an occasional fan that wears oversized shorts and a skin-tight backwards hat refer you back to the 1990’s to view true success, I am not them. At only 19 years old, I have witnessed 10 playoff games, just 3 of them ending in victory. I have witnessed it all, from bad defenses, to lackluster coaching, to hype trains that later get derailed, to the “our year” campaign. None of them have resulted in any level of remote success, being just 1 of 3 teams that have yet to compete in an NFC championship since their glorious, relic-like run in the 1990’s.
I am an extremely loyal fan and could probably answer you any question about the Dallas Cowboys since I was 8 years old. Since I can remember, and this is not just a reactive statement, this is the worst team I have ever watched, and I have never had pure hatred for any team, top to bottom, as I do this team.
Between just wasting the talent and contracts of superstars like Michael Gallup and Ceedee Lamb, to opting to pay Ezekiel Elliott, who frankly, is not a top 5 running back in the NFL and hasn’t been for quite some time, over Byron Jones. The decisions this front office has made have been puzzling, to say the least. And the narrative that the Cowboys are a “good drafting team” is easily debunkable when looking at their recent body of work.
My problem is not the injury bug that has unfortunately plagued the team this year. My problem is even at full strength, Dak, Jarwin, Tyron, Lael, Looney, Martin, Chido, Lee, and everything in between, this team still just is not that good. Don’t make any mistakes about it, Dak Prescott is a top 5 quarterback in the National Football League and to say anything else is lazy and downright incorrect.
And my bigger, less glaring problem is, this team may not be good for a long, long time. When you pay guys like Zeke and Jaylon Smith, and not Dak and Byron Jones, your franchise decided to take a turn and it was ultimately the wrong turn. Sometimes I just scratch my head at some of the contracts this team hands out opposed to the ones they could have handed out instead. And to top it all off, Dak’s price is going up due to the abysmal play of this offense. Pain. Pure pain.
Between the talent that is all style, the inept coaching, and awful front office decision making, this is the start to some very, very disappointing years for the Dallas Cowboys. I think this is only the beginning.

Since this is ultimately a gambling site, take the Cowboys total under, whenever it settles. This is a 4, maybe 5 win team.
