Bills vs. Raiders Gameday
The Buffalo Bills visit the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Allegiant Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 PM ET on CBS. This Week 6 AFC matchup features two teams trying to strengthen their positions in the playoff race.
Buffalo enters at 4-1 under Joe Brady. The Bills have won both road games and remain one of the AFC’s strongest offensive teams.
Las Vegas is 3-2 under Klint Kubiak.
Buffalo has the stronger record, but both teams have defensive weaknesses capable of changing this matchup.
The Raiders return home after consecutive losses and are 1-1 at Allegiant Stadium. Kubiak needs a response after a disappointing performance in New England.
Buffalo has the advantage in quarterback mobility and offensive balance. The Bills are also dealing with a short preparation week following Monday night’s overtime victory.
Allegiant Stadium provides an indoor playing environment.
Week 6, Buffalo Bills vs. Las Vegas Raiders, we’re all hoping a great game is in store.

Raiders Stats
Las Vegas averages 26.4 points and 335.6 offensive yards per game. The Raiders have generated 1,268 gross passing yards through five contests, with their passing attack producing considerably more than the ground game. Their rushing offense has managed only 410 yards.
Brock Bowers leads the receiving corps with 24 catches for 312 yards and three TD’s. The tight end practiced fully Thursday despite dealing with a knee injury.
Ashton Jeanty has contributed 291 rushing yards.
Las Vegas has dangerous receiving options, but its offensive line has struggled to provide consistent protection.
Defensively, the Raiders allow 25.8 points and 377 yards per game. Their inability to consistently stop opposing rushing attacks has been a major weakness.
Las Vegas has surrendered 703 rushing yards through five games. The defense has recorded 13 sacks and generated 10 takeaways. Maxx Crosby continues to provide significant pressure off the edge.
Jalen Nailor was limited Thursday while recovering from a concussion.
Bills Stats
Buffalo averages 32.8 points and 396.2 offensive yards per game. The Bills have generated 790 rushing yards, giving them one of the league’s more productive ground attacks. Their ability to establish the run has helped keep opposing defenses off balance.
James Cook III leads Buffalo with 532 rushing yards and five TD’s. His production has been a major factor in the team’s offensive success.
Buffalo has scored 164 points through five games.
Defensively, the Bills allow 28.2 points and 388.6 yards per contest. Opposing offenses have been particularly effective attacking their secondary.
Buffalo surrenders 280.4 passing yards per game. The defense has struggled to consistently prevent explosive completions. Coordinator Jim Leonhard needs better execution from his coverage unit.
DJ Moore and Ed Oliver did not practice Thursday, while Joshua Palmer remained limited.
Bills vs. Raiders QB Matchup
Buffalo QB Josh Allen has thrown for 1,249 yards and seven TD’s through five games. He has also been intercepted four times. His ability to extend plays creates additional problems for opposing defenses.
Allen has contributed 239 rushing yards and eight rushing TD’s. His mobility makes him dangerous even when passing protection breaks down.
Las Vegas must account for his running ability near the goal line.
The Raiders counter with Kirk Cousins, who has passed for 1,269 yards and 12 TD’s against four interceptions. Cousins remains the expected starter despite rookie Fernando Mendoza making his NFL debut late in the loss to New England.
Cousins has demonstrated the ability to distribute the football accurately when given protection. His effectiveness decreases when opposing pass rushers consistently disrupt the pocket.

Buffalo will look to pressure Cousins with Greg Rousseau and Deone Walker. Both defenders have demonstrated an ability to disrupt opposing passing plays.
Las Vegas counters with Crosby, who has consistently pressured opposing quarterbacks. The Raiders need him to prevent Allen from settling into a comfortable passing rhythm.
Both QB’s have produced strong passing numbers, but their styles differ significantly. Allen can escape pressure and create additional rushing opportunities, while Cousins depends more heavily on timing and protection. Offensive-line execution will be important for both teams.
Buffalo Bills vs. Las Vegas Raiders bottom line: Buffalo has the stronger offensive balance, while Las Vegas possesses enough passing talent to challenge a Bills defense that has struggled against the pass.

Bills Raiders Free Pick: Over 53.5
Here is my Bills Raiders free pick: I’m betting Over 53.5. Buffalo is playing on a short week after an overtime shootout in Los Angeles. That’s a demanding turnaround for a defense already having trouble getting stops.
Las Vegas has covered four of its first five games, and its offense has been productive enough to contribute to this total. The Raiders don’t have to win outright to help cash an Over ticket.
My biggest concern is the Raiders’ offensive line.
I’m betting the scoring opportunities outweigh the protection problems in this matchup.
Buffalo’s defense has been vulnerable after opponents establish their passing rhythm. Cousins doesn’t need to dominate; he needs to move the chains and finish enough possessions to keep the scoreboard moving. That’s a reasonable assignment against this secondary.
The Bills also have to avoid the turnovers that have crept into their offense recently. Giving away possessions is one way to kill a good Over.
There is one scenario I don’t want: Buffalo builds an early lead and spends the second half bleeding the clock. But Las Vegas has enough passing talent to keep the Bills throwing rather than sitting on the football. A competitive game works considerably better for this number.
I’m not paying extra for a Buffalo side that has defensive problems of its own. The total gives me room to capitalize on both offenses.
Give me Bills Raiders Over 53.5. Two capable quarterbacks, questionable defensive execution and a fast indoor track are enough to get my money.
