Cardinals vs. Rams Gameday
The Arizona Cardinals visit the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 PM ET on FOX. This Week 6 NFC West matchup features two teams trying to recover from disappointing starts.
Arizona is 1-4 under first-year head coach Mike LaFleur. The Cardinals have dropped four straight since winning their season opener.
Los Angeles enters at 2-3 under Sean McVay.
The Rams have been far more productive offensively, but their record shows that yardage alone hasn’t been enough.
LaFleur previously worked under McVay as the Rams’ offensive coordinator. He now returns to face his former team with Nathaniel Hackett directing Arizona’s offense.
McVay’s Rams are trying to rebound from a difficult overtime defeat. Los Angeles has moved the football consistently but hasn’t turned that production into enough victories. Its home-field advantage will be important against a struggling division opponent.
Both teams need a win to improve their NFC West position.
Week 6, Arizona Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Rams, we’re all hoping a great game is in store.

Rams Stats
Los Angeles leads the NFL with 424.4 offensive yards per game. The Rams have accumulated 2,122 total offensive yards through five contests. Their passing attack has produced 1,585 net yards.
Puka Nacua recorded 138 receiving yards and a TD against Buffalo. He remains a major part of McVay’s passing attack.
Kyren Williams has rushed for 343 yards and four TD’s.
Los Angeles has the personnel to move the football, but finishing drives remains a priority.
The Rams have allowed 1,426 total offensive yards, an average of 285.2 per game. Opponents have generated only 825 net passing yards.
Los Angeles has recorded eight defensive sacks and four interceptions. Its secondary has generally limited opposing passing attacks, although the Bills found ways to score in the previous game.
Myles Garrett remains on injured reserve following surgery. McVay said his practice window would not open this week. Tight end Davis Allen also missed Wednesday’s practice with a foot injury.
Cardinals Stats
Arizona has generated 1,506 total offensive yards through five games. The Cardinals have recorded 1,117 net passing yards and 458 rushing yards. Their offense has struggled to sustain drives against stronger opponents.
Trey McBride has 42 receptions for 308 yards and three TD’s. Michael Wilson provides another target in Arizona’s passing game.
The Cardinals average 21.6 points per contest.
Arizona has allowed 1,817 total offensive yards. Opponents average 32.4 points per game.
The Cardinals have registered 11 defensive sacks and three interceptions. Those plays haven’t prevented opponents from consistently reaching scoring territory.
Running back Jeremiyah Love missed Wednesday’s practice with an ankle injury. Safety Wydett Williams Jr. remained in concussion protocol, while Andrew Wingard was sidelined with a knee issue. Their availability remains subject to later injury reports.
Cardinals vs. Rams QB Matchup
Matthew Stafford has thrown for 1,572 yards and nine TD’s through five games. The Rams QB has also been intercepted six times. His passing production remains central to McVay’s offense.
Stafford threw for 383 yards and three TD’s against Buffalo. He repeatedly challenged coverage downfield during the overtime defeat.
His protection will be important against Arizona’s pass rush.
Jacoby Brissett counters for the Cardinals with 1,110 passing yards and nine TD’s. He has also thrown five interceptions.
Brissett passed for 292 yards and three TD’s against Detroit. Arizona needs that production to come earlier in games rather than after falling behind. The Cardinals have struggled to establish an efficient passing rhythm.

Stafford has the stronger supporting cast.
The Rams can attack Arizona’s coverage with multiple receiving options. Stafford must still avoid forcing throws when defenders take away his first read.
Brissett faces a Los Angeles secondary that has generally limited passing yardage. He needs better protection and more dependable early-down execution. The Cardinals cannot afford to rely on difficult third-down conversions throughout the afternoon.
Arizona Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Rams bottom line: Los Angeles has the stronger passing attack and more dependable defense, while Arizona must improve its offensive execution to challenge its division rival.
Arizona Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Rams Football Betting Trends

- Plus, the Cardinals have gone over the total in 3 of their last 4 away games.
- Arizona has struggled straight up as an underdog, winning only 1 of their last 4 games in that situation.
- The Rams have excelled against the spread after a loss, covering in their last 3 games.
- Los Angeles has been successful straight up at home, winning 6 of their last 8 games.
- Additionally, the Rams have been consistent in games where they are favorites, with the total going over in their last 3 games in this role.
Cardinals Rams Free Pick: UNDER 52
Here is my Cardinals Rams free pick: I’m taking the Under. Los Angeles is a substantial favorite, but I don’t see enough reliable scoring from Arizona to justify this number. The Cardinals have been forced to chase games, and that hasn’t made their offense particularly efficient. The Rams can win this matchup without turning it into a shootout.
A lead would allow McVay to become more selective with his play-calling.
That’s where I see the value in the total.
I’m betting Arizona’s offensive limitations matter more than the Rams’ ability to pile up yards.
Los Angeles has a strong enough secondary to challenge Brissett’s shorter passing game. If Arizona can’t consistently extend drives, the Cardinals will have a hard time contributing the points this total requires. Field position becomes important when one offense is struggling to finish possessions. There is risk here because Arizona’s defense has been giving up too many touchdowns.
A few short fields could push this game toward the Over quickly.
But I’m not asking the Cardinals to shut down Stafford.
I’m asking Los Angeles to control the game and make Arizona earn its scoring opportunities.
A comfortable Rams victory doesn’t automatically produce 53 points, especially if the Cardinals spend much of the afternoon struggling to finish drives.
The Rams can handle their business without doing all the scoring for both teams.
I’ll take Cardinals Rams Under 52.
