Although Joel Embiid won’t have to deal with Mitchell Robinson and often excels in New York, I like the Knicks to come out on banner night and ride the wave of emotion at MSG to the win.
Nick Nurse has a real challenge on his hands as the 76ers should excel by pushing the pace, but will need to play in more of a half court offense when the big guy is on the court. That marriage will take time to develop.
New York also has the major advantage of consistency versus the 76ers, who are integrating not one but two new players and will need the first 20 games to build that natural chemistry.
