The first-round playoff series between the fifth-seeded Orlando Magic and fourth-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers returns to Ohio with the series knotted at 2-2. Orlando took care of business winning both home matches including the 112-89, Game 4 victory.

The teams split the regular season series each winning twice. Last season the Cavaliers swept the four-game regular season series and also hold the all-time record between the clubs with 65 victories in 126 matches.

Shaq’s joking aside, the Wagner brothers have been incredible in the series especially once the Magic returned to Florida. In Game 4, Paolo Banchero struggled to score (4-14) but Franz stepped up offering a huge double-double of 34 points and 14 rebounds.
Given the low-scoring nature of this series, any 30-point game feels like 50 points!
Reinserting Wendell Carter Jr. into the starting rotation also paid dividends while Jalen Suggs continues to be a beast defensively.

I keep returning to the end-of-season game that Cleveland purposely punted and my gut said then (as it does now) it was a poor decision. It screams upper management didn’t trust their roster to beat every matchup.
Now that the series is down to a best-of-three I wonder whether that choice will impact the Cavs players’ performance knowing your franchise wasn’t all-in on this version of the team.
A series doesn’t start until someone wins on the road my gut said that happens in Game 5.
