The Bowl Season kicks off on December 15th with a few nice games. In this game it’s the Cure Bowl from Camping World Stadium between the Tulane Green Wave and Lousiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns.

This is the first meeting between the two teams since 2016 when Tulane came out ahead 41-39.
Tulane Green Wave
The Tulane Green Wave got out to a slow start to the season, but a strong finish winning four of the last five games, led to a bowl game. The only loss during that stretch was to a Houston team that just overmatched them talent wise.
The biggest difference for the Green Wave from the beginning of the season is just how well they played during the 4th quarter of games.
The Green Wave isn’t a great offensive team averaging 25.7 points per game but the defense stepped up late to have success.
The big question coming into this game for the Green Wave is who will be starting at the quarterback position. Jonathan Banks has missed the last four games and it’s unclear if he will be able to go in this game.

If he can’t go it will be Justin McMillian who has thrown for 1159 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions. Whoever is starting in this game, is going to need to be careful to not turn the ball over.
h3>Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns
On the other side of this matchup is the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns who also had a strong finish to their season winning three of the last four games.
The only loss during that stretch was against Appalachian State and even though they lost 11 points, they still did a good job keeping themselves in a game.
For the Ragin’ Cajuns, it’s all about the offensive side of the ball. So far this season they are averaging 32.5 points per game and it’s a good thing because the defense has not been good.
[dfads params=’groups=219&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
At quarterback they are led by Andre Nunez who has thrown for 2136 yards, 19 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He has played well this year, but the interceptions are concerning.
With the way their defense has played, it’s probably going to take a near perfect game from Nunez.
