We have reached week nine of the college football season and this is an AAC showdown.
In this one, the South Florida Bulls make the trip to Greenville to take on the East Carolina Pirates. Both of these teams are sitting with a 3-4 record.
South Florida Bulls
To say the South Florida Bulls have been a big disappointment this year might be an understatement. When Charlie Strong was hired the hope was that he could help this team compete for a conference title.

Coming into this game they have won two of the last three games but the loss was an ugly one. In their last game they took on Navy who is a good team, but the offense really struggled scoring only three points and that led to a 32 point loss.
At quarterback the Bulls have used a couple of different guys but as of late it’s been Jordan McCloud who is getting the playing time.
So far this season he has thrown for 674 yards, eight touchdowns, and six interceptions. In this game he needs to make smart decisions and not turn the ball over.
In this game the Bulls need to get a rhythm going with the offense. If the offense struggles they are going to have issues winning this game.
East Carolina Pirates
On the other side of this matchup is the East Carolina Pirates who are improving and they are actually sticking with some of the best teams in the conference.

In their last game against UCF they lost by 13 points which is still a lot but that is a lot better than what they have done in years past.
The big problem for the Pirates is they really haven’t beaten a good team yet, so it’s hard to know exactly how good this team is. The Bulls aren’t great but if the Pirates are able to pull out a win, that would be their biggest win of the season.
On the season they are giving up 25.8 points per game which is 57th in the league. If they want to come away with a win this game the defense is going to need to step up.
If they can make life tough on the Bulls offense that would go a long ways in getting the Pirates to come away with a big victory.

Free Week 9 NCAA Football Pick
I think the wrong team is favored in this game, and the home team is going to find a way to get it done in this game.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Pirates +2
The Chippewas will run up the score and the Bulls won’t keep up. I like the Chippewas on the money line but take the points just to be safe.
