The Pittsburgh Panthers visit the Boston College Eagles on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill. Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET on ESPN2. The Week 7 matchup puts two ACC programs with very different starts opposite each other.
Pat Narduzzi’s Panthers are 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the ACC. Pittsburgh suffered its first loss last weekend after winning its opening five games.
The Panthers are looking for their sixth consecutive ACC road victory.
Pittsburgh has the stronger record, but Boston College gets its chance against a Panthers offense adjusting at quarterback.
Bill O’Brien’s Eagles are 2-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play. Boston College has lost two straight and returns from its bye week.

McKenzie presents a different problem because of his running ability. Pittsburgh’s defense has been excellent against conventional rushing attacks, but defending a mobile QB requires more discipline.

Boston College’s offensive line is the biggest concern for this wager.
I want points from both sides, not a Pittsburgh blowout that depends on one quarterback carrying the scoreboard.
The Eagles have the advantage of an extra week to prepare, and their offensive approach should reflect it. Pittsburgh’s secondary can be attacked, particularly when the D gets caught chasing plays underneath.
One or two explosive gains could change the scoring pace quickly.
I’m looking for a game that gets into the 20s on both sides. A 28-20 finish is enough, and the Eagles don’t need to win to help cash this ticket. The number is still playable at 43.5, so Over 43.5 is the bet.
