The Ohio Bobcats are going to look to keep things rolling on the road against the UMass Minutemen.

The Minutemen will look to continue to stay competitive in this one, however, they will be looking to finally notch that elusive first win of 2017.
Ohio Bobcats
The Ohio Bobcats needed overtime to defeat the Eastern Michigan Eagles last week on the road. Which was expected, two solid, equally matched teams going at it to give us a good ball game.
The Ohio Bobcats have been a pretty solid program throughout the years. Since 2009, Ohio has had a winning record in seven of those eight years with the other year being a .500 record.

This year is looking like yet another solid season for the Bobcats as they have started off the 2017 campaign at 3-1.
Statistically, they are a solid bunch gaining 413 total yards on offense and they are 55th in the nation in defensive total yards.
If you want a player to watch out for look for Junior halfback A.J. Ouellette in this one.
He’s rushed for over 100 yards in his last two games – which were competitive games – and if this one is close, look for Ouellette to go over the century mark for a third straight week.
UMass Minutemen
We talked about the UMass Minutemen just a couple of weeks ago. We talked about how they are a program that are more on an upward trajectory.
Not in terms of win-loss, but in terms of spread and outright competitiveness. We said they’d cover against Temple and they did and against the Tennessee Volunteers they easily covered. I don’t know what the pick was since I didn’t cover the game, but either way UMass covered again.
Not only did they cover, but that was a one possession game against a power-5 SEC team in the Volunteers on the road. So, hats off to UMass.

They get to come back home to face the Ohio Bobcats and we’ll see if they can notch their first win of the year.

Free Week 5 NCAA Football Pick
The key in this one is to monitor the status of starting quarterback Andrew Ford for UMass. He left last week’s game with a head injury and if he is unable to play, I would load up on Ohio to cover.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Ohio -8.5
Obviously, UMass isn’t the most talented team in the nation and losing their starting quarterback won’t help matters at all. With it being a head injury, I’m assuming he won’t play, so my pick will be to take the Bobcats in this one.
