The Kentucky Wildcats are travelling to Columbia this week to take on the Missouri Tigers in this SEC East showdown. The Wildcats have had a great year so far, especially by Wildcat Football standards.
Even though the Tigers are down this year, this one could still have serious implications in the division.

Kentucky has won four of their last five games, three of which were against SEC opponents.
They defeated the Mississippi State Bulldogs in a 40-38 thriller last week. Missouri is on a three-game losing streak, including a shocking 51-45 home loss to Middle Tennessee State.
Kentucky Wildcats
For the first time in recent memory, the Kentucky Wildcats are in 2nd place in the SEC East in Week 9. They started the season in predictable fashion, losing their first two but came alive after that.
They come into this one on a two-game winning streak, including last week’s very impressive win over Mississippi State.

The Kentucky offense is based around a very strong running game that averages 197.0 yards per game.
Running back Stanley Williams leads the team with 690 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Junior quarterback Stephen Johnson is not asked to do much but has been efficient.
He only has 920 yards passing with five touchdowns to two interceptions.
Missouri Tigers
Not much was expected of the Tigers this year. It is their first season without coach Gary Pinkel who had led the team for the previous 14 years.
They are currently 2-5 and last place in the SEC East. Their only two wins came against Eastern Michigan in Week 2 and Delaware State in Week 4.
The Tigers come into this one on a three-game skid.

A bright spot of the Mizzou season has been quarterback Drew Lock.
He has thrown for 1,995 yards with 16 touchdowns and six interceptions.
Missouri’s 304.6 passing yards per game is 19th in the nation. However, the most important statistic for a quarterback is wins, and he does not have those on his resume.
That may be due to the fact that they are usually playing from behind, and he has to try to dig them out of holes.
The defense allows 29.7 points per game, which is tied for 80th nationwide.

Free Week 9 NCAA Football Prediction
Kentucky probably is not good enough to remain in second place in the East for the rest of the season, but they are better than most experts thought.
They have already won three SEC contests and their two conference losses were to #1 Alabama and #14 Florida.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Kentucky +4.5
On the other hand, Missouri has more talent than their 2-5 record suggests. They definitely could win this one, but they have yet to show that they can translate all that talent into wins.
