The Grey Cup championship game will be played on Sunday in Toronto, seeing the Ottawa Redblacks, led by veteran QB Henry Burris, take on the favoured Calgary Stampeders squad.
Kickoff is set for 3:00 PM with Burris matching up against the incumbent QB Bo Levi Mitchell, who led the CFL in passing TDs this season.
Calgary Stampeders
The Stamps boast the best offense in the CFL entering the Grey Cup finals, with two superstars leading the charge (pun intended) in Bo Levi Mitchell at Quarterback, and Jerome Messam at Running back.

Bo Levi Mitchell led the CFL in passing TDs with 32 during the regular season, a 68.0% completion percentage and finished second in total passing yards with 5,385, just 169 yards behind the leader, Mike Reilly.
Mitchell did so without having a Wide receiver in the top-9 in yards, with his top target, Marquay McDaniel, earning 1,074 yards.
McDaniel is joined by DaVaris Daniels, who led the team in receiving TDs with 9, a mark that tied him for fifth best in the league.
The offense features the best running back in the league this year, Jerome Messam, who led the CFL in both rushing yards and TDs.
On the season, Messam rushed for 1,198 yards and 11 TDs, averaging 5.8 YPC- which is the second best amongst running backs. This helped the
Stamps have the best average yards per first down, at 7.1.

The Stamps defense features the league-leader in sacks, Charleston Hughes, who registered 16 during the regular season, two more than the next best mark.
He’s joined by Jamar Wall in the backfield, who had four INTs which was good for a tie for fourth place. As a whole, the
Stamps defense allowed the fewest points in the league this season with an incredible 369. For reference, the next best team, the Montreal Alouettes, allowed 415.
Ottawa Redblacks
As mentioned, Ottawa is led into the Grey Cup game on the back of their veteran QB, Henry Burris, and his 229 career CFL starts.
Burris, now 41, is one of the best of his generation and considered an all-time CFL great, as he sits third all-time in passing yards behind the likes of legends Anthony Calvillo and Damon Allen.
In his career, Burris has throws for 63,227 yards along with 379 TDs.
Knowing that this very well could be his last dance, Ottawa will be looking to facilitate Burris going out on top.
The Redblacks ranked second in the league in total yards this season, actually finishing first in total passing yards but just sixth in points.
The main difference between Ottawa and Calgary is the red-zone efficiency, where Ottawa ranked 6th overall at 48.3% and the Stamps had the third-best mark at 57.8%. Capitalizing on their opportunities will be essential if Ottawa wants to claim the title.

The Redblacks’ defense was middle-of-the-pack for the most part this season, finishing 6th in total points allowed with 498.
They finished 5th in Sacks (42), 8th in pass knockdowns (50), and 7th in Forced Fumbles (15), but did have the third best interception mark with 16.
They will face a tough test holding down the league’s best offence from Calgary.
CFL Betting Trends:
- Bo Levi threw the most TDs this season with 32
- Running back Jerome Messam had the second best YPC with 5.8
- The Stamps averaged 5.6 more points-per-game than the Redblacks, but allowed 129 fewer total points
- Henry Burris sits 3rd all-time in CFL passing yards with 63,227
- Calgary went 15-2-1 this season, Ottawa had a mark of 8-9-1
4* Free CFL Betting Prediction: Calgary -9.5
The main difference between Ottawa and Calgary is the red-zone efficiency, where Ottawa ranked 6th overall at 48.3% and the Stamps had the third-best mark at 57.8%.
Capitalizing on their opportunities will be essential if Ottawa wants to claim the title, but that will be difficult against a stingy Calgary defense.
Grey Cup Free Score Prediction: Calgary 35 – Ottawa 24
Holding an edge on both sides of the ball, I expect the Mitchell-led Stampeders to put up points against a mediocre Ottawa defense, while seeing their defense hold Burris and the Redblacks in check.
Messam will provide a dual-threat offensive attack, and ultimately the better team squashes the story from the Nation’s capital.
