Guards
Damian Lillard, POR (vs LAC), $9.1 DK
On a short slate kinda night, there’s no reason to not pick Damian Lillard—especially when he’s going up against a Clippers defense that is 29th out of 30 this season when defending the guard position in DFS.
Lillard had an off night on Tuesday—and we predicted as much! Did you go with CJ McCollum, per our recommendation?
This time around, we’re telling you NOT to fade this top-tier floor general.
Jaylen Brown, BOS, (@ PHX) $4.8k DK
Jaylen Brown is no bum. Yes, he falls into the shadow of Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum, Gordon Hayward and even Al Horford, but he’s not a bad player.
Which makes it crazy to us that he’s just $4.8k against a Phoenix Suns squad that’s going to give up plays left and right on Thursday night.
Take Brown as a low-risk, high-reward option.

Forwards
Paul George, OKC (@ HOU), $9.1k DK
Paul George is an easy pick here. If Russell Westbrook sits, the No. 1 option becomes that much more clear against a Rockets defense that has struggled mightily this season. If Russ plays, he’s still a solid No. 2 in the same scenario.
Regardless, you won’t feel the pain taking him at $9.1k. The latter is still a safe play, while the former makes him someone impossible to fade.
Carmelo Anthony, HOU (vs OKC), $5.3 DK
Carmelo Anthony is looking for revenge here. No, not the vengeful kind—as crazy as that sounds. He’s looking to prove he could’ve played in OKC’s system (and rotation). And that’s important context—but what’s even more important is knowing that he’s also trying to prove he can play off the bench, which he’s done to a high degree recently in Houston.
Those two factors combined should make him an easy high-upside choice on a short-slated Thursday.
Centers
Jusuf Nurkic, POR (vs LAC) $6.6k DK
Jusuf Nurkic is always going to be vulnerable, in the sense that he could put up a bad performance out of nowhere. That’s the risk you take with a big who is slightly out of shape and slightly content with a brand new contract.
Against the Clippers, however, Turkic should carry all of his momentum into the contest. LAC has its own secret weapon on Boban, who would be a reasonable option here if you decided to spend bigger bucks at the guard or forward position.
But in this scenario, we’re taking Nurk.

One last thing. Remember… at the end of the day if you can’t afford to gamble online OR play at Draft Kings and Fan Duel then STOP. We know most DFS players need action, heck we do too, so just bet what you can afford.
Don’t go chasing money in high dollar GPP’s. Stick to cash games, and try to play on bigger slates. Avoid those night time 2 games slates. Your bankroll will thank us later.
