03-24-18 | Florida State v. Michigan -4.5 | 54-58 | Loss | -105 | 12 h 44 m | Show
Taking MICHIGAN here. Man on man. What an absolute crap run I have had the last 2 weeks. I can't catch a break. Faves collapse and can't hold on to covers. Dogs get rolled. I know there would have to be an adjust to the norm after the 71% run 2 weeks prior. But barely 40%. Not acceptable on any levels. Going to what we do and just grind it out with the remaining games across college basketball. - So the WOLVERINES. What do you want me to say here? Doesn't matter since my results have not been what I have wanted. Also liked Liberty and Loy-Chi, my free video pick today. But I will just play the one game as things are not where I want them. 4* Money Maker MICHIGANÂ |

03-23-18 | Syracuse v. Duke -11.5 | Top | 65-69 | Loss | -104 | 97 h 13 m | Show |
Taking DUKE tonight. First. Just because we are having a GOM doesn't me bet the house. We rate the plays. So adding a Game of the Week, Month, Year to it just means to play it for an extra unit or 2. We aren't like some cappers who when they lose a few games in a row and are down 400 Dimes or whatever, we don't say. only time this year we put out a 1000 Dime play. It wins. Capper fake math has him up 600 dimes, but he's 1-7 or some crap. So we are on the BLUE DEVILS. What a crap game by Sparty and Izzo. Not what I wanted or hoped for playing on them Sunday. If anytime is going to exploit this zone and short bench, it will be Duke. Already with a 60-44 win under the belts over the Orange. Hats off to them for winning 3 games in 5 days. But the PAC 12 was garbage. I thought TCU would knock them off, but we didn't have an official play. As for that Michigan State game. Holy cow. Offensive rebounds 26-4! 8-37 from 3. Take it to the rack already! They had a walk-on play 6 minutes last game. Zero depth. I said it last game with MSU, and I will say it here. This should be a 15-20 point game. Duke isn't going to shoot 26% from the floor. Sparty may have been too young to take advantage of Syracuse. Blue Devils won't make that mistake. Duke was upended last year by 7 seed South Carolina who went an improbable Final Four run. 2012 lost to Lehigh in First Round, next year Elite 8. 2014 lost to Mercer First Round, next year National Champs. So, off an early exit, I expect the Final Four run. They know this team. They know their zone defense. They will exploit the Orange weaknesses. 10* Money Bomb DUKE BLUE DEVILS |

03-23-18 | Clemson v. Kansas -4.5 | 76-80 | Loss | -109 | 79 h 11 m | Show
Taking KANSAS. Lost a brutal beat with them over the Hall. I think the Hall is better than Clemson. They crushed Auburn, but that team had been playing over their heads a bit. Had lost 3 of 5 coming into SEC tourney. Lost in SEC Tourney. Had to battle Charleston. And were a no-show in Round 1. Clemson has struggled at times since Grantham has been out. I think this line is a bit short since the Tigers rolled and the final score in Kansas was a bit tight. Jayhawks can shoot. I've seen Clemson struggle to score 60. 4* Money Maker KANSAS JAYHAWKSÂ |
03-22-18 | Florida State +6 v. Gonzaga | 75-60 | Win | 100 | 32 h 42 m | Show
Taking FLORIDA STATE tonight. Had the Zags in a miracle cover and FSU was a game that I liked, but didn't have a real strong opinion on. X had been in some close games and pulled the rabbit out of the hat many times, so I thought the Noles could pull it out. So here we are in the Sweet 16. This Zags team isn't 1999-2001. Where they were double digit seeds getting to 3 straight Sweet 16s and an Elite Eight. As a 1-4 seed, they have gotten past the Sweet 16 exactly twice - last years National Championship Game and Elite 8 in 2015. 7 previous times a 1-4 seed. Eliminated 3 times in the 2nd Round (1,2,3 seeds) Twice in this round (3,4 seed) , Elite 8 as a 8 in 2015, and last year 1 seed NC Game. What I see is a team that is more hunter than hunted. Noles role 10 deep and have guys who have size and can crash the glass. That is normally a big edge to the Zags. But I think they way that FSU stormed back, it shows the type of overall team this is. With no one true star, it is a true, blue-collar, grind it out team. That being said. I think this should be a back and forth type game. Getting enough points here that even if the Zags leads balloons to 10, the back-door is open enough for us to squeeze in. 4* Money Maker FLORIDA STATEÂ |
03-22-18 | Texas A&M +3 v. Michigan | 72-99 | Loss | -108 | 70 h 2 m | Show
Taking TEXAS A&M. I was going to take these guys last week, and like a dummy left them off my card. And they roll. I think they get the W again tonight. I would really like it if the team as a whole could make their FTs. But Michigan is in the same boat. Where I think this game is won is in the paint. Aggies crash the boards and that will be the difference maker tonight. 4* Money Maker TEXAS A&M |
03-22-18 | Loyola-Chicago v. Nevada -1.5 | 69-68 | Loss | -107 | 69 h 19 m | Show
Taking NEVADA here. Yep. Last week I was all in on Cincy to crush these guys. Looked good for about 32 minutes. But for those who have followed all season, I said this Nevada squad could make a deep NCAA run. The loss of Drew hurts their depth. And I though that Cincy would really wear them down. But that shows the type of makeup these guys have. Love me some Loy-Chi. Had them in Round 1. Needed a miracle there, and another after that to get here. It is tough going against them simply because their defense is so good and, NEVER fouls. Go look this up. I don't think they had a guy foul out all year! So, Loy-Chi needs a pair of last second buckets to get here. Nevada needs a pair of double digit, the last one really epic, comebacks to get here. Should be a dandy as Nevada loves to push the tempo and Loy-Chi slows things down. 4* Money Maker NEVADAÂ |
03-22-18 | Coyotes v. Hurricanes -1.5 | 5-6 | Loss | -100 | 7 h 18 m | Show
Taking CAROLINA. Can't lay nearly 200 with the Hurricanes. Not laying 2-1 really in any spot. I will roll the Puck Line. Arizona in a B2B spot off a win in Buffalo. This spot screams let down just based on the body clock aspect. 4* Puck Line Money CAROLINA HURRICANESÂ |
03-21-18 | Utah v. St. Mary's -6.5 | 67-58 | Loss | -110 | 11 h 57 m | Show
Taking ST MARYS. Had these guys in the first 2 rounds of the NIT. Not backing away now. Just couldn't pull away from Washington last game. Huskies shot 55% with 2 guys just on fire (14-21 FG). But new game, new foe. Utah another PAC 12 team. You know we are not high on the PAC 12. So they beat LSU who isn't a good team. Think this line is a bit low off the Utes 24pt win, and the Gaels playing the Huskies close. Mary's winning the NIT. Remember, as much as they are snubbed from the NCAAs. This is still a WCC Mid-Major team. Winning the NIT is a big deal. This isn't some CBB blue-blood, ala Louisville, getting snubbed and then laying an egg vs a tough small school. 4* Money Maker ST MARYSÂ |
03-21-18 | Jackson State +1.5 v. North Texas | 68-90 | Loss | -106 | 23 h 17 m | Show
Taking JACKSONVILLE STATE. This is a pretty solid group. Good defense. Crash boards. 5-1 their last 6, with that loss to NCAA rep Murray State. This North Texas team is a nice story. 8-22 last year! Did a free pick last week and took them +12 and they won by 13 on the road over South Dakota. They had lost 7 of 8 heading into the CIT. It is very tough going against a team that has topped 90 in their last 2 games. But they faced a disinterested South Dakota team. Then got Mercer who traveled 1800 miles to Phoenix. Then another 1000 miles to NT. Yeah. That isn't a haul for a small school. This is basically a day trip drive from Central Arkansas where JSU put down the hammer on an offense averaging 80ppg (80-59). If this game is close, NT will have 1 guy on the court who has any shot at making FTs. Give me the road warriors here. 4* Money Maker JACKSONVILLE STATEÂ |
03-20-18 | Stars v. Capitals -1.5 | 3-4 | Loss | -100 | 8 h 15 m | Show
Taking CAPITALS and going PUCK LINE. You can lay the -140. But I am going for the 2-1 payday. In fact, I think you can get +210 if you look. So Stars on a terrible road trip, 0-3-2 and lost their starting goalie Sunday. Caps off their own 6-3 loss. They get back in the win column tonight. 4* PL Money WASHINGTON CAPITALSÂ |
03-20-18 | Raptors v. Magic +10 | 93-86 | Win | 100 | 8 h 10 m | Show
Taking the MAGIC here. Oh no. Raptors just had their 11 game win streak snapped at home by the Rockets. They will want to really come out strong tonight. Absolutely. And they might. But what do we have here? A Game of the Week NBA date tomorrow night in Cleveland - Look. Raptors better than Orlando. But even if Toronto gets out to a comfortable lead, are they playing hard all game here? This is a prime 'back-door' opportunity for the home pups. 4* Money Maker ORLANDO MAGICÂ |
03-20-18 | Penn State v. Marquette -2.5 | 85-80 | Loss | -102 | 8 h 18 m | Show
Taking MARQUETTE. These guys really thriving in the NIT. The cozy home court is a real advantage. They put up 101 against Oregon last game. This place is going to be crazy. It doesn't even hold 4 thousand fans. This is their practice court. They know every nook and cranny of the rim. Penn State a bit better on the defensive side of things. But I think the crowd will really make things difficult for PSU. 4* Money Maker MARQUETTE |
03-19-18 | Western Kentucky +4 v. USC | 79-75 | Win | 100 | 33 h 13 m | Show
Taking WESTERN KENTUCKY tonight. We faded away on USC in their opening game and nearly cashed a huge double digit dog as an out-right winner in double OT. What has changed? USC is without their 2 best players. Will there be a huge crowd tonight? I have no clue. What did they have for that Ashville game? 2 thousand people. WKU is a good team. They are highly motivated. Where is the motivation for SC? Best player sits out tournament so he doesn't hurt his NBA stock. 2nd place and in Conference Championship Game. But worse schools in conference play get the nod. WKU, fresh outta C-USA with 25 wins is looking for scalps to hang in their mid-major trophy room. These guys knocked off Purdue on a neutral. Lost a tough one to Nova 66-58. Beat a good, healthy SMU team on a neutral. Lost at Wiscy by point, a tough venue. Do we have to talk about the poor PAC 12. After SMU lost to WKU, a week later they belted this SC bunch 72-55. Will probably be grabbing +160 ML on the Hilltoppers also. 5* Best Bet WESTERN KENTUCKYÂ |
03-19-18 | Washington v. St. Mary's -10.5 | 81-85 | Loss | -102 | 33 h 3 m | Show
Taking ST MARYS. We had these guys at home and they did exactly what I thought they would do. I said it would be an easy 20pt win. Well it was 44. Now they get Washington. What better way to get a new conference interested in you then destroying one of their teams. The talk is Zags and Mary's, maybe BYU to Mountain West. But the PAC 12 was a joke as they had 2 teams in the play-in round. Arizona was bounced by Buffalo, and USC went to double OT vs NC Asheville (another Winner for us)- Look Mary's is a Top 25 program playing win a chip the size of the Pacific Northwest on their shoulders. Washington scored a win as they got a lucky home game instead of traveling to Boise. Then Boise beat them in a practice game. You knew they were going to come out strong. Washington was trucked by Gonzaga 97-70, at home. Gaels going for their 30th win at home. I see another 20pt blowout in the making. 4* Money Maker ST MARYS GAELSÂ |
03-19-18 | Utah Valley -1 v. San Francisco | 73-78 | Loss | -105 | 32 h 19 m | Show
Taking UTAH VALLEY. You know I am down on SF. Had Colgate in the first round of CBI action over the Dons. Cashed the cover there, but really wanted the outright win. Valley a good little WAC squad. They beat Grand Canyon twice. New Mexico State. They opened at Kentucky and Duke back to back on the road. They went 6-6 in their other road games. I don't where you play. Winning on the road is tough for college teams. Just think the Wolverines do everything just a bit better than San Fran does. 4* Money Maker UTAH VALLEYÂ |
03-18-18 | Nevada v. Cincinnati -8 | 75-73 | Loss | -108 | 17 h 2 m | Show
Taking CINCINNATI. I had Nevada last game. Sweated out an OT win. Have to say. Go look at that box-score. 4 guys with more than 40 minutes. 6 players used. If Wolf Pack had Drew, I think they are a different team. But we saw them get beat up by San Diego State in 2 of their last 3 games including a 17 pt mauling in the MWC Championship. That was 55-25 at the half for those keeping score at home - Cincy is a tough, defensive team. Better than the Aztecs. And better than Nevada. Not sure how the legs hold up during the second half in this one. 4* Money Maker CINCINNATI BEARCATS as a side note- we go 1-2 yesterday. Barely cashing the Zags, and just missing Kansas. Could have been 2-1, or 0-3. Should be at worse 8-6, maybe 9-6 with Davidson or even 10-6 if you caught So Dak State since Thursday. As much as I want to put out Miss St, Butler, A&M, Oregon, Herd, FSU and UMBC - I put out a 2-2 Friday ticket and missed this dog wagon. Looks like a solid NIT Monday and the Sweet 16 awaits. Let's close 2-0 and get ready for a new week. |
03-18-18 | Syracuse v. Michigan State -9 | 55-53 | Loss | -108 | 14 h 22 m | Show
Taking MICHIGAN STATE. Alright. 3rd game in 5 days for the Orange. I expect Spartans to attack a bit more than TCU and Arizona State. Let's be honest. You combine those 2 teams and they aren't Michigan State. Syracuse with zero depth. I can't see how this doesn't turn into a 15pt win for Sparty. 78-59, 60-44, 76-60.. Losses to NC, Duke and Kansas this year by the Orange. At 30-4, that is who Michigan State is. That is where is expect this game to end up. 4* Money Maker MICHIGAN STATE |
03-17-18 | Ohio State v. Gonzaga -3.5 | 84-90 | Win | 100 | 27 h 0 m | Show
Taking GONZAGA. Zags blew a late 12pt lead to hold on in Round 1. OSU was tied at 70 before a couple 3s and fouls to pull away. But I can get behind the small faves here. Buckeyes took 40 3 point shots Thursday, 40! 86-59 was the final in the PK80 back in November. Zaga looked pretty good. I can see the, we'll get our revenge angle a bit. I just disagree. I had South Dak State vs these guys in Round 1. I though they over-achieved all year. Penn St beat them 3 times. I am sure that game film is floating around somewhere. Along with their own 27pt victory tape. 12pt road loss to Michigan - 14pt loss to NC on a neutral - 14pt loss to Clemson - 1pt OT loss to Butler on neutral. Not that high on Butler, but still a tournament team. 3 double digit losses to high caliber foes. Clemson healthy at the time. I had Nova over the Zags when they played in NY. Florida was playing insane when they won in OT. 2pt road loss at SD State. Not a bad loss. That is a tough foe. A 3pt loss to St Mary's who, while ranked in the Top 25, somehow didn't make the NCAAs. I just think that Gonzaga is the better team. 4* Money Maker GONZAGAÂ |
03-17-18 | Seton Hall v. Kansas -4.5 | Top | 79-83 | Loss | -106 | 32 h 50 m | Show |
Taking KANSAS. Ok. Maybe this is a huge square play. I know that Kansas has had some bad let-downs before. But they have been to the Elite 8 the last 2 years. They were knocked off by Wichita, who, at 30-4 was pretty good under-seeded team in 2015. The loss in 2014 to Stanford is bad, I get it. -But It isn't like we are laying a huge number here. I get you wanting to back the Hall. This line looks a bit short to me, but that is also based on the name on the uniforms. Seton Hall beat UL on the road, over Texas Tech at MSG. People remember them playing Nova to a 69-68 OT loss a couple weeks ago. Lost by 12 at Xavier. They lost to Butler in the Big East tournament, but had beaten them in the final game of the regular season a few days before. They had a nice game vs NC State. But I see some chinks in the armor. As I said. A 12 point road loss to X, 16pt loss at Nova. Lost by 17 at Creighton. Lost by 20 at Marquette. The lost by 6 at Rutgers! You can say. Hey they won 4 of 5 heading into the BE Tourney. Well, we move the bar and we see a 4 game losing streak before 3 wins and you have 5-6 heading into NC State, 6-6 now. Kansas had won 5 straight before dropping their regular season finale. Then they win by 14, 16 and 11 in the Big 12 tournament. I don't think they take half the first half off here like the Penn game. But they did manage to win by 16. If we get a full game of Azubuike, I think we win by double digits going away. But I like him sitting out the B12 Tourney and only playing 3 minutes in Round 1. Shows the other guys they can win without a key player. The last 2 years in Round 2, Kansas beat 9 seed Michigan State 90-70 and 9 seed Uconn 73-61. 5* Best Bet KANSAS JAYHAWKSÂ |
03-17-18 | Loyola-Chicago v. Tennessee -5 | Top | 63-62 | Loss | -103 | 8 h 21 m | Show |
Taking the VOLS today. So, I have these guys in my Final Four. I think they are that good. I will say that we got lucky cashing our Loy-Chi in Round 1. Not sure they get every break in this spot. We also cashed Tennessee on Thursday. Steady effort all around. The rough grind of the Miami game might wear down the Ramblers. Look. I like these guys. But I think that Tenn is going to just be too much for them. I get it is tough not to like a team shooting 50% from the field. And we look back at the win over the Gators fondly. A bad seed for them, probably should have been an 8. But they lack the sexy name. Vols should control the defensive glass. I think people forget that Tenn beat the Boilermakers early. Lost a tough to Nova, up 12 at half. Maybe the OT win over Purdue the day before caught up with them (Nassau). They lost a tough one at home to NC. I think this is the best team the Ramblers have faced. But this is not the best team Tennessee has faced. It's going to be close. But I think we pull away for the 10pt win. 8* Sure Shot TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERSÂ |
03-16-18 | New Mexico State +5 v. Clemson | 68-79 | Loss | -108 | 54 h 26 m | Show
Taking NEW MEXICO STATE. Came thisclose to just putting out the Aggies as a +180 ML play. This is a tough bunch. They beat Miami FLA and A10 Champ Davidson on neutral court in Hawaii. This is in San Diego. I think NMST will have more of a fan base than Clemson coming from the other side of the country. Tigers started 14-1 and finished on a 9-8 run. Some of that has to do with losing 2nd leading scorer Grantham who was a beast inside. Clemson has beaten BC, Wake and GT on the road since he went down. Aggies can get defensive boards. This is a tough spot. Late body clock game. Long travel. Give me the live dogs here. 4* Money Maker NEW MEXICO STATEÂ |
03-16-18 | Mavs v. Raptors -10.5 | 115-122 | Loss | -103 | 9 h 47 m | Show

03-16-18 | Texas v. Nevada | 83-87 | Win | 100 | 26 h 13 m | Show
Taking NEVADA. Uh. Hate this short line. I do like the Wolf Pack. Had these guys throughout the season. Yeah, they have lost 2 of 3. Both those to San Diego State. Sometimes, a team knows you well. 27-7 is a good job. 2 of those losses though, Texas Tech in OT and TCU next game up, both on the road. So you say, oh. They can't beat Big 12 teams. Well. I disagree. They don't turn the ball over much. Texas, at 19-14. Do they really deserve a spot? They were 7-11 vs tournament teams this year. We shoot the ball better from everywhere on the court. That will be enough to get the job done. 4* Money Maker NEVADAÂ |
03-16-18 | Marshall v. Wichita State -11.5 | 81-75 | Loss | -117 | 24 h 37 m | Show
Taking WICHITA STATE. I'll tell. Thought long about Marshall here. Shockers defense not what it once was. They didn't have a conference cake-walk either. Houston and Cincy are tough foes. Enter Marshall. I love the coach. Love how he says that a 3pt shot is better than a lay-up. 3 is more than 2 no matter how you cut it. Herd turned it on in February winning 6 of 8. Ended the year upsetting a good Mid Tenn State on the road. Then they caught some breaks winning the CUSA title. Facing So Miss instead of Mid Tenn again was huge. They they drilled 12-28 3s in the championship over WKU. They played Xavier tough on the road. We had them that game. But X is a team that has danced with danger all year long. Shockers worse loss was to Temple. On the road, in OT by a bucket. Lost to a then healthy SMU. Houston, Cincy. The good 'December' Oklahoma. And a full-strength ND team by a point on a neutral court. Wichita has been favored by 17 or more 10 times this year. 3 times by 23 or more, twice at 29! Just 11 times not favored by double digits. Once as dog, they won outright. The numbers show me a big edge here for Wichita. Defense boards will be important here. Huge experience edge to Shockers. Even with house money, I don't think they cash a ticket. Neither team with a boost playing in San Diego. 4* Money Maker WICHITA STATEÂ |
03-16-18 | Providence v. Texas A&M -3.5 | Top | 69-73 | Win | 100 | 50 h 51 m | Show |
Taking A&M. I think people forget how good this team was to start the year. Opened the year with that big win over West Va. I see their non-con littered with wins over March Tournament teams (NIT,CBI,CIT + NCAA) Oklahoma State - Penn State - Rio Grande Valley - Northern Kentucky - Buffalo. Bama, Auburn, Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri. Not that I am a huge SEC fan. But I think as great as Providence was in the Big East tourney, knocking off Xavier, giving Villanova a good battle, I just think that A&M gets it done. 4* Money Maker TEXAS A&MÂ |
03-15-18 | St Bonaventure +5.5 v. Florida | 62-77 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 22 m | Show
Taking ST BONNIES. So. These guys played like absolute garbage and still won in the Play-In game for. That was a nice ML winner. I will say that I would be looking to fade Florida either way though. Bonnies a tough little squad. Florida. Man. They can look like the best team or one of the worse. If they are on from deep, it could be a long night. But I haven't seen often this year. Most times when taking dogs, I am thinking outright winners. This is a tougher spot though. The points give us each shot that even if Florida gets up 10, we are in position to steal a back-door cover. 4* Money Maker ST BONNIES |
03-15-18 | San Diego State +4 v. Houston | 65-67 | Win | 100 | 9 h 53 m | Show
Taking SAN DIEGO STATE. Final Thursday NCAA add. Want to almost go ML here. Aztecs coming in as hot as any team in the land. I do like the Cougars. We cashed them against Cincy. And I hate that these 2 have to face each other. But what does Houston have left. Back to back against Wichita and Cincy. That 2nd half Championship game was an absolute slug-fest. Plus, how they went down with a bad pass trying to get the last shot off. Give me the live dog here. 4* Money Maker SAN DIEGO STATEÂ |
03-15-18 | Stephen F Austin +11.5 v. Texas Tech | 60-70 | Win | 100 | 33 h 12 m | Show
Taking STEPHEN F AUSTIN. These guys have scored NCAA wins in 2014 and 2016. They lost at Miss State by 5 - Lost by 1 at Missouri - Won at LSU. They will have fans at this game. Texas Tech 2-5 SU down the stretch, 0 covers in those games. Think we are getting good value here. 4* Money Maker STEPHEN F AUSTINÂ |
03-15-18 | Davidson +5 v. Kentucky | 73-78 | Push | 0 | 28 h 15 m | Show
Taking DAVIDSON tonight. These guys rained on some other teams NCAA parade by running the A-10 tournament. But don't sell them short. 11-2 SU their last 13 games have them playing well into March. Davidson also 15-4 ATS last 19. Solid defense. Kentucky is always young. This team has 10 losses this year. I like the dog. We don't turn it over much. 4* Money Maker DAVIDSONÂ |
03-15-18 | South Dakota State +8 v. Ohio State | 73-81 | Push | 0 | 24 h 28 m | Show
Taking SOUTH DAKOTA STATE. Had these guys several times through the year and in their big Summit Championship game. This is a tough team. Daum is a best. But he has help. These guys can ring up points in a hurry as they hit nearly 11 3s a game. This is the Jackrabbits 3rd straight tourney appearance. They lost by 20 to Gonzaga last year, but covered the covered the number. The year before, a 5pt loss covering the number against Maryland. Ohio State really over achieved this year. I really think we will know how this game plays out early. Buckeyes have been off for nearly 2 full weeks. If they come out with bricks, Jackrabbits might be able to really jump on them early. 4* Money Maker SOUTH DAKOTA STATEÂ |
03-15-18 | Pennsylvania v. Kansas -13.5 | 60-76 | Win | 100 | 3 h 16 m | Show
Taking KANSAS. Late add here for Thursday morning. The more I think of this, the more I think Kansas takes this one in the high teens. Opening at 15, I wasn't really interested. But drop it to this area and it gains my interest. The game is in Wichita. Expect a big Kansas crowd. Also. What I liked last week was Kansas didn't take off the Big 12 tourney after a long season. Bill Self is a pretty good coach. I know they don't have as many titles as everyone thinks they should. Even under Roy Williams. But I can't see Penn hanging around here. Jayhawks hear whispers every year about being overrated. I think they take care of things in easy fashion. Or as easy as winning by at least 15 can be. 4* Money Maker KANSAS |
03-15-18 | Wright State v. Tennessee -12 | 47-73 | Win | 100 | 22 h 58 m | Show
Taking TENNESSEE today. I have the Vols winning this thing from 15-20 points. Before we get giddy over Wright State and that 17-4 conference, 25-9 record. Let's do some digging shall we. Let's just forget they had a cake-walk of teams in the Horizon Tournament. 13-20 Green Bay, 16-17 Milwaukee and 12-23 Cleveland State. Let's look at some non-con results. Lost at Loy-Chi who is barely a dog to 6 seed Miami. Lost by 20 at home to Murray State. Lost by 18 to Western Kentucky. Vols with the exception of a bad loss to Georgia. Lost to all tournament teams. Vols defense will be too much and they should win this one going away. 4* Money Maker TENNESSEE |

03-14-18 | UC-Davis v. Utah -12.5 | 59-69 | Loss | -106 | 33 h 28 m | Show
Taking UTAH. As much as I like playing the Big West in December and January, March tournaments is not an ideal spot for winning. Especially when their best player is out. Playing without Moneke (18/9) you can steal games in the Big West. A little bit different vs PAC 12. Utah lost in the NIT last year, on this court, to Boise. They won't be able to do that with the size inside for the Utes. Think that is a big difference maker tonight. 4* Money Maker UTAHÂ |
03-14-18 | Lamar +3.5 v. Texas-San Antonio | 69-76 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 9 m | Show
Taking LAMAR. Not that I like to compare who teams have played. But in this case with smaller schools, I have to go with the same opponents. Lamar beat Tulsa, UTEP and Coastal Carolina twice. Lamar also took down Stephen F Austin twice. And I think those guys are a play +11.5 tomorrow in the NCAAs. UTSA lost to Coastal and Tulsa, but beat UTEP twice. UTSA played in a better conference. They are also down their best player, Jackson (18ppg). I'll take a flyer with these points. 4* Money Maker LAMAR CARDINALSÂ |

03-14-18 | Miami-OH v. Campbell -1 | 87-97 | Win | 100 | 43 h 1 m | Show

03-14-18 | UL-Lafayette +4.5 v. LSU | 76-84 | Loss | -106 | 32 h 39 m | Show
Taking ULL. Seeing some +170 ML and I might sprinkle a little bit on that. I do like ULL. You should know this. We have had them a few times this season. We know that playing in-state Big Brother from the SEC that Laffy will be showing up big-time. They were upended in Sun Belt by the team who I thought was #1 and UL #1A or 2. So that isn't a bad loss in my eyes. They put up points. LSU, is a bit up and down for my liking. 27-6 is still 27 wins. And in this day an age of teams taking 30 3pts a game, you can get picked off by anyone if the right player gets hot. LSU 17-14 on the year, 8-11 in SEC Play. Maybe this is a great conference. I don't think so. I see a lot of mediocre. 5-5 their last 10. Not shocked at all with an outright win tonight. 4* Money Maker ULLÂ |
03-13-18 | North Carolina-Asheville +17.5 v. USC | 98-103 | Win | 100 | 13 h 24 m | Show
Taking NC ASHEVILLE. So. Hoping that we don't get a big collapse like we suffered with Hartford tonight as the travel is a long haul from the east. I think is a big difference is that USC, not only much better than San Diego. You might say, yeah, they should win by 30. But the students are on spring break. How many fans will be there? The coach, in his speak, is fed up with the NCAA. The players didn't want to play this game. Like Louisville, the admin just signed off on the paperwork. NCA playing with a lot of house money out of the gate here, vs a team that is probably very uninterested. Have to grab the points here. 4* Money Maker NC ASHEVILLEÂ |
03-13-18 | Southeastern Louisiana v. St. Mary's -15 | 45-89 | Win | 100 | 23 h 54 m | Show
Taking ST MARYS. Man. What a snub for these guys. Aren't these guys a ranked team? And are in the NIT. I know. You can say. Oh, they are mad and will mail it in here. I dunno about that. One. They can get to 30 wins. There will be a handful teams able to lay claim to that. Two. I think this is a proud program. 3. That will mean them winning getting to the Finals in New York. Because, in case you didn't realize it. The NCAA just sent a clear message for these guys, Gonzaga and probably BYU to run out of the WCC and find a home in the Mountain West. I think this is a 20pt win. SE Louisiana lost by 36 at Notre Dame. 4* Money Maker ST MARYSÂ |
03-13-18 | Northern Kentucky +7.5 v. Louisville | Top | 58-66 | Loss | -121 | 20 h 17 m | Show |
Taking NORTHERN KENTUCKY. An absolute 'no-brainer' play for me. We have the little brother ready to face one of his older siblings. The Norse upset in the Horizon. But oh what a prize they get in the NIT. They get Louisville, who, according to The Courier Journal voted before the ACC Tournament not to play if they missed the NCAAs. Problem is nobody relayed the message to the bosses who signed off on the paperwork. When told they have to forfeit, they said they will play. Oh, we get the, we have to play hard for the city and locals and fans. But these guys are done. We won't get into the off the court things. We all know what they are. Getting a TD in a game I think we are winning outright. Are we all of a sudden getting a focused UL team that is coming out to win the NIT Championship? This reminds me of Robert Morris coming into Kentucky 2013 and winning outright. Opened the season ranked 3 that year. 5* Best Bet NORTHERN KENTUCKYÂ |

03-12-18 | Hartford +10 v. San Diego | 72-88 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 33 m | Show
Taking HARTFORD tonight. Ok. Off a huge run of College Hoops (36-15 71% Since Mar 3), and 25-8 76% last 7 days of tournament action. Time for some CIT. I like the road team tonight. The Hawks went 9-5 on the road. Worse loss coming to Rider, who had a pretty good mid-major year themselves 89-53. We know that San Diego doesn't run like that. Then went 6-1 on the road in conference. A couple close 1-2 road losses out of conference. Beat Rutgers on the road. San Diego was 10-6 at home. A close 5pt loss to the Zags the real high-light with a close lose to St Mary's behind that. I guess they are happy to be playing. But they have other coaching issues going on. Hartford isn't showing up to some PAC 12 school for a 400 grand pay-day. They are here to win. I think they hang close and really won't be shocked if they can get a couple breaks and pull out a close win. 4* Money Maker HARTFORD HAWKS |
03-11-18 | Houston +4.5 v. Cincinnati | 55-56 | Win | 100 | 7 h 33 m | Show
Taking HOUSTON. Ok. Tough day as we go 1-3 with our plays. Favorite play of the day, Arizona Best Bet our only winner. Should I just stuck to my gut and only played them. Not making that mistake today and forcing games just because we had a good tournament of selections (28-8) since Monday. - So the COUGARS get the call. I do like Cincy. Think they are a very good team. But I just don't like what I have seen in tournament play so far. Dog-fights. Houston playing with as much swagger as anyone in the land after knocking off the Shockers. They have already defeated the Bearcats. Playing with house money and getting a couple points. Might even sprinkle some ML on them this afternoon. 4* Money Maker HOUSTON COUGARSÂ |
03-10-18 | USC v. Arizona -1.5 | Top | 61-75 | Win | 100 | 14 h 42 m | Show |
Taking ARIZONA. Ok. So a lot going on here at the school. We won't get into the off-court stuff, but it appears they have circled the wagons. They had a brief hiccup in early February. But have no run off 4 straight Ws after going 11-0 in OT yesterday. USC just as hot winning 6 of their last 7. Probably played themselves into a spot or at least close to one in the NCAAs. But I think people forget how good this Arizona team is. Have to with them at this short price. 5* Best Bet ARIZONAÂ |
03-10-18 | Texas Southern v. Arkansas-Pine Bluff +6 | 84-69 | Loss | -105 | 4 h 22 m | Show
Taking PINE BLUFF. Ok- Sorry for being so late. I had some earlier lined games up. My son's basketball team was in his Championship Game this morning. Not the outcome I would have wanted, but a good game none the less. So ARKANSAS PINE BLUFF. I know that normally I would be on the fave as the 1 seed is a decent sized dog here. But looking at the season, APB won 62-61 and 74-72 over Texas Southern. Looks like a close battle on paper and getting points is good value. 4* Money Maker PINE BLUFFÂ |
03-10-18 | Texas-Arlington v. UL-Lafayette -6 | 71-68 | Loss | -105 | 4 h 5 m | Show
Taking LAFAYETTE. Had both of these winners yesterday. And as I said. Arlington is a good team that is playing good ball. But ULL is on another level. Outscoring Sun-Belt teams by nearly 2 touchdowns. 100-79 win at home. 77-65 on the road. My write ups are here from yesterday if you go back and look. I think this will be a close game. But in the end, ULL will pull away for a double digit win. 4* Money Maker UL LAFAYETTEÂ |
03-10-18 | Maryland-Baltimore County v. Vermont -11 | 65-62 | Loss | -110 | 10 h 35 m | Show
Taking VERMONT. - Ok. Right off the bat let me say that a lot of these lines for these games don't come up till mid-morning. The late afternoon/early night games I will try to have posted sometime after lunch. So be sure to check back after our first games are loaded. So VERMONT. Not that I am a fan of laying double digits in a championship game. But we have a couple things working for us. One. We are playing on our home court looking for back to back America East Titles. Nice motivation there. Then we have UMBC. Sometimes teams just do not match-up well. Look at these numbers. A month ago, on their own home court, UMBC shot 36% from the field. 2 guys made more than 2 shots. Vermont shot 70% from the field and won 81-53. Then, on this court in early January, Vermont won 71-56. Again 36% shooting. But at least a couple players found the basket for UMBC. Vermont shot 46% from the floor then. Tough not taking double digits when you have a team hitting 38% of their 3s. That is a nice number and when they start heaving, they can catch a few. But the numbers tell me this is going to be another game where Vermont just grinds these guys down and wins by about 15. 4* Money Maker VERMONT |
03-09-18 | Texas Southern -3.5 v. Prairie View A&M | 88-74 | Win | 100 | 22 h 41 m | Show
Taking TEXAS SOUTHERN. These guys split the regular season. Prairie View winning 96-82 at home on Feb 1, Texas Southern winning on their court 100-94 back on Jan 6. I just think Tigers have the better numbers across the board. And piggy backing on the other game in this conference tournament semi. All you need to know is that the 1 seed Pine Bluff, is a dog to the 4 seed Southern. And here we have the 3 seed as the biggest fave of the remaining Top 4 seeds. 4* Money Maker TEXAS SOUTHERNÂ |
03-09-18 | St. Louis v. Davidson -7 | 60-78 | Win | 100 | 11 h 45 m | Show
Taking DAVIDSON. Veteran team. Just better all around. St Louis a short bench. Fatigue could factor in as STL had 2 guys play 40, and another starter at 38 minutes. Davidson, rested. Winners of 5 of 6 and 8 of 10. Peaking at right time. 4* Money Maker DAVIDSON |
03-09-18 | Troy State v. Georgia State -4 | 51-73 | Win | 100 | 18 h 19 m | Show
Taking GEORGIA STATE. Now. Troy won this thing last year. They have already bested Georgia State is the 2 seed as it dropped 4 of 6 down the stretch. They do have Sun Belt POY in guard D'Marcus Simonds who went for 21.5/6/4.5 across the board. Guy is a pretty good all-around player. Troy knocked these out last year in the semis. Georgia State the 2 seed, Trojans, then a 7 seed. Just think Panthers get a little payback tonight. 4* Money Maker GEORGIA STATE |
03-09-18 | Appalachian State v. Texas-Arlington -5.5 | 68-84 | Win | 100 | 6 h 44 m | Show
Taking ARLINGTON. Look. They let me down a few times this year. I thought they would be the Sun Belt leaders. Off a slow start, they did come down the stretch winning 6 of 10 and 3 straight. Arlington won by 12 at home, lost by 4 on the road. Let's not forget. These guys went on the road and won at BYU, then lost by 1 at Alabama. Then best non-con win for Appy is over 11-16 South Florida. 4* Money Maker TEXAS ARLINGTONÂ |
03-09-18 | George Mason +6 v. St. Joe's | 49-68 | Loss | -106 | 6 h 30 m | Show
Taking GEORGE MASON. Should have had these guys yesterday. Saw it was a PK, starting thinking how I have really only cashed GM as dogs. What a run they gave us catching points in February. They have covered 8 of their last in A10 play. Not high on Joe's. I know they crushed RI, but the Rams have dropped 3 of their last 5. This is just about the grit of Mason. Battled back yesterday. Stone cold hitting last second game winners by Ian Boyd. That is what this time of year is about. 4* Money Maker GEORGE MASONÂ |
03-09-18 | Southern Miss v. Marshall -8 | 75-85 | Win | 100 | 4 h 59 m | Show
Taking MARSHALL. So. Southern Miss knocks off top dogs Mid Ten State shooting 42% while Raiders at 49 - They needed OT to get to 71 points. Marshall can score. This wacky court set-up had no effect on them as they dropped 95 on San Antonio. Can't see Southern Miss being able to keep up. 4* Money Maker MARSHALLÂ |
03-09-18 | Texas State v. UL-Lafayette -12 | 54-80 | Win | 100 | 4 h 46 m | Show
Taking ULL. Like Laffy. This is a good team. They beat Texas State by 10 and 15 this year. Beating Sun Belt teams on the year by nearly 14 points a game. Texas State had lost 9 in a row before beating Coastal. ULL comes in off their 2nd loss in conference play. An OT home loss - After their last loss, 1pt on the road to Georgia State, they reeled off 6 straight. I'm not saying they are Mid Tenn State, 16-2 in C-USA, 24-7 get picked off in tournament action. Make no mistake, these guys are in the same boat. A mid-major that doesn't get enough respect and will lose a spot to the Oklahomas, Alabamas, Syracuses of the world. ULL 26-5 overall, and 16-2 in the Sun Belt. I had them at Clemson and they were rolled by 29. But Texas State is no Clemson. ULL needs to win this by 20. 4* Money Maker UL LAFAYETTE |
03-08-18 | Akron v. Eastern Michigan -5.5 | Top | 58-67 | Win | 100 | 31 h 48 m | Show |
Taking EASTERN MICHIGAN tonight. Last year in the MAC Quarters, Akron smashed these guys 79-62. Well. Time for a little tournament revenge. They played just once at EMU, and the Eagles laid a 63-49 loss on the Zips. Expecting more of the same here. EMU comes in red-hot winners of 6 straight and 8 of 9. The lone loss, in OT on the road. Akron on a 3-6 run before upsetting Western Michigan by a point. Zips dangerous. Of course you have to look at a team in the conference tournament championship game the year before as a threat. But it is also a team you don't overlook. 5* Best Bet EASTERN MICHIGANÂ |
03-08-18 | San Diego State -3.5 v. Fresno State | 64-52 | Win | 100 | 17 h 39 m | Show
Taking SAN DIEGO STATE. I do like Fresno. You already know that. We cashed them several times this season. MWC has been good to us. But I am on the Aztecs. Bulldogs loss of Hopkins will hurt. 2nd leading rebounder and 3rd leading scorer. I get that the next man steps up. But this is a very tough spot. After dropping 2 straight on the road to Fresno and Nevada, SDST roared back to win their final 6 games of their capped with their seasoning win over top seed Nevada. Clearly firing on all cylinders coming into the tournament. 4* Money Maker SAN DIEGO STATEÂ |
03-08-18 | UMKC v. Grand Canyon -12 | 74-77 | Loss | -105 | 14 h 10 m | Show
Taking GRAND CANYON. Antelopes with a pair of 17pt wins of KC already this year. I can't find a positive for the Roos except them being angry at 2 blowout losses. Numbers all point to Grand Canyon. Hate taking a game that looks 'too easy.' 12 isn't a short number though so we will need to have our defense handle KC like they did the last 2 meetings. Expecting a huge crowd for GC as this is their first tournament trip. 4* Money Maker GRAND CANYONÂ |
03-08-18 | Boston College v. Clemson -4 | 82-90 | Win | 100 | 4 h 20 m | Show
Taking CLEMSON. Tough going for 3 in 3 days which is what BC is up against today. Clemson beat them earlier this year 74-70 in BC. Think the clocks strikes midnight for this Tournament Cinderella today. 4* Money Maker CLEMSON |
03-07-18 | Oregon State -2 v. Washington | 69-66 | Win | 100 | 20 h 16 m | Show
Taking OREGON STATE. So. Here we are again. Washington the higher seed in PAC Tourney action, yet are catching points. 20-11 vs 15-15. Yeah, they split this year. Huskies win at home by a bucket, Beavers by 3 in OT at their place. 4* Money Maker OREGON STATEÂ |
03-07-18 | St. John's -4.5 v. Georgetown | 88-77 | Win | 100 | 18 h 19 m | Show
Takings ST JOHNS. So. Is Mullin suiting up like its 1984? Is Malik Sealy and Boo Harvey starting? Zendon Hamilton and Felipe Lopez? Johnnies laying points? Georgetown won both regular season games. Hoyas the higher seed. I am guessing that Ponds is playing for this line to be where it is. We have seen these guys knock off Duke and Villanova in back to back games. I think this group underachieved this season. If Ponds comes back, wow. I think they are a deep March team. They have a nice big man inside who blocks shots and protects the rim. Simon is a very good player all around. The cliche police say we run away with this if we force turnovers and limit our own! 4* Money Maker ST JOHNSÂ |
03-07-18 | Notre Dame -1.5 v. Virginia Tech | 71-65 | Win | 100 | 19 h 36 m | Show
Taking NOTRE DAME. With Colson and Farrell back, the Irish can make some noise. I have VT in the tourney, while ND needs to win at least another game. Not sure how they will hold this team when they lost their top players. That being said, they are on the court tonight and ND should win this one. 4* Money Maker NOTRE DAMEÂ |
03-07-18 | California v. Stanford -8.5 | 58-76 | Win | 100 | 7 h 14 m | Show
Taking STANFORD. One. I think Cal is terrible. They have battled Stanford well beating them to start conference play winning on the road 77-74, and losing a close one at home 77-73. So why the big line? Maybe since Cal has dropped 7 straight and 9 of 10 while Stanford has won 4 of 5 with loss on the road in Arizona. Cal is shooting barely 41% from the field and less than 30% from 3. I can't see them catching fire here. Stanford is a team most expected to 'arrive' next year. This team was missing several players earlier in the year. All the top guys are back. I think they win this one going away. 4* Money Maker STANFORDÂ |
03-07-18 | Boston College v. NC State -3.5 | 91-87 | Loss | -106 | 5 h 34 m | Show
Taking NC STATE. I'm kicking myself for not taking BC yesterday, but I'll take a 7-0 day of college hoops. That being said. New day. New team to back. And I like this NC State team. Bracket works out nice for them. Always a little brother in state to NC and Duke. But the Wolfpack did knock off both teams this season. They also beat BC by 16 earlier this year. Also winners of 4 of 5 coming into tournament play. BC had dropped 4 of 5 before taking care of Georgia Tech. 4* Money Maker NC STATEÂ |
03-06-18 | Alabama State v. Texas Southern -11.5 | 76-90 | Win | 100 | 22 h 28 m | Show
Taking TEXAS SOUTHERN. So. We can say that Tex So has won 10 straight in this series. They won 18 and 15 this year. Last year in the conference tournament, they won by 15 laying 15.5. They had beaten Alabama State by 13 and 2 during the regular season. Some teams don't match-up with others. It is clearly obviously in this case. Even though they are a 3 seed, I think TS has a shot at winning this thing. They are my highest rated team in conference play. 4* Money Maker TEXAS SOUTHERNÂ |
03-06-18 | Jackson State +4 v. Southern | 60-62 | Win | 100 | 11 h 43 m | Show
Taking JACKSON STATE. So these guy split with each winning on the opposite home floor. I don't see much difference between these two. Southern was 10-8 in conference, Jackson State 9-9. 4* Money Maker JACKSON STATEÂ |
03-06-18 | Southern Utah +3 v. Idaho State | 76-68 | Win | 100 | 11 h 33 m | Show
Taking SOUTHERN UTAH. I liked this guys at +4 last night and here I am going to bed early and missing on that extra point. These guys split the season each winning at home. 4* Money Maker SOUTHERN UTAHÂ |
03-06-18 | Stony Brook v. Vermont -12 | 51-70 | Win | 100 | 21 h 56 m | Show
Taking VERMONT. So, laying 21 was a bit too much. But I think this number is about right. One, we have Stony off a doggy +9 outright win. Good work by them. They have also played Vermont tough. Losing by 9 at home and 11 on the road. They just are a poor shooting team. When you have Vermont hitting over 50% against you, you aren't going to win many games. They will hang around like they have. But I can't see them all of the sudden hitting shots and Vermont's entire team going cold. Vermont is a good team. 16-1 in conference with a 1pt loss on the resume. They lost 73-69 at Kentucky to open the season. Then won 5 road games before dropping a 4pt game at Bucknell. Who, is a pretty decent team looking to repeat as Patriot League Champs and go to the NCAAs again. The were down by 1 at Marquette before fading down the stretch and losing by 10. Lost by 4 at Northeastern, who will be playing for a CAA Title. A 4pt loss to a 24 win St Bonaventure team. Is a 2pt loss at Providence who was without their 2nd leading scoring a good loss? A win at Rutgers? I just think that Vermont is primed for post-season. There is no way that they shouldn't win this one by double digits going away. 15-20 should be the margin. 4* Money Maker VERMONTÂ |
03-06-18 | Coppin State v. North Carolina Central -7 | 48-60 | Win | 100 | 21 h 60 m | Show
Taking NC CENTRAL. This Coppin team is terrible. 1-20 on the road. Lone win, over SC State, where they somehow shot 52% from the floor and drained 12 of 26 3s. I am looking at these conference losses. 13-18-20-11-13-20-8 . Central has won by 20 at home, and 9 on the road. It was a 15 lead on the road at half. They cruised with 52% FG shooting, 9-18 from 3. Coppin shoots 36% from the floor. That is horrible. It isn't like we are laying 20 or even 10. A decent number to lay, but still a lot of value in taking the favorite. 4* Money Maker NC CENTRAL EAGLESÂ |
03-05-18 | Denver v. South Dakota -9 | 58-76 | Win | 100 | 11 h 55 m | Show
Taking SOUTH DAKOTA. As I said. I am looking for all South Dakota Finals tomorrow night. The clear leaders of Summit League play. Now. Denver won 84-68 back in January. Pioneers jumped out fast and never looked back. 15-3 out of the gate, 14pt halft-time lead. But as we look into that game, what do we see before hand. Ah.. South Dak handed bitter state rival So Dak St it's only conference loss 87-68. Coming off a game like that, you know it would be a flat-spot. Denver off the double OT game last night. Denver can shoot the 3, but I am not sure if they will have their legs late to get in the back door. I'll lay it. 4* Money Maker SOUTH DAKOTAÂ |
03-05-18 | East Tennessee State -1.5 v. NC-Greensboro | 47-62 | Loss | -107 | 10 h 15 m | Show
Taking EAST TENN STATE. These guys split the regular season. NCG winning by 18 at home as 2.5 faves, and ETST winning by 10 at home as 8.5 faves. East Tenn came slipping into the conference tournament. Dropping 3 straight and 4 of 5. But they have 18 and 11 pt wins under the belt in the first 2 rounds. Huge revenge for getting destroyed by NCG a month ago. The two best teams and the top 2 seeds is what it should be. But the 2 seed is a small fave. Also they were a much larger fave at home. My numbers have them pretty close and it reflects in the line. 4* Money Maker EAST TENN STATEÂ |
03-05-18 | Suns v. Heat -9 | 103-125 | Win | 100 | 9 h 51 m | Show
4* Money Maker MIAMI HEAT |
03-05-18 | North Dakota State v. South Dakota State -7.5 | 57-78 | Win | 100 | 9 h 41 m | Show
Taking SOUTH DAKOTA STATE. I'm calling for a battle of Sout Dakota in the Summit Championship game. They are the 2 best teams. So Dak St is lead by Mike Daum. Kid is a a beast. 23/10 on the year. Can put the team on his back. 14-1 in conference play. NDST 6-9. Held on yesterday for a win. Up 23, then 81-80 with 30 seconds left. 19 + 7 point wins for So Dak St over Bison this year. Let's grab the Jackrabbits. 4* Money Maker SOUTH DAKOTA STATEÂ |
03-04-18 | Quinnipiac +4 v. Fairfield | 64-74 | Loss | -105 | 10 h 59 m | Show
Taking QUINNIPIAC. Have backed these guys a few times lately as we had a nice 70% run with our MAAC plays during February. The dog is on 6-2 ATS run in the series. Quinn on a 5-1-1 ATS run in conference play. How about an 8-2 ATS run on neutral courts shows us the play well in tournaments. 3 of the last 5 games have gone to OT in the series. The 2 that didn't 5,2 pt wins for Quinnipiac. 4-5-3-2-4 has been the difference the last 5 games between these guys. 4* Money Maker QUINNIPIAC |

03-04-18 | North Dakota State v. IUPU Ft Wayne | 86-82 | Win | 100 | 7 h 19 m | Show
Taking NORTH DAKOTA STATE. Again, we saw this with our play on Milwaukee. Fort Wayne with a pair of regular season wins. 12 on the road, 4 at home. They opened as a fave, now moving to a dog. These aren't schools that have huge public followings. I have these guys nearly identical in my Summit rankings. Bison to get it done tonight. 4* Money Maker NORTH DAKOTA STATE |
03-04-18 | Delaware v. Northeastern -7 | 50-74 | Win | 100 | 7 h 48 m | Show
Taking NORTHEASTERN. I think NE is winning this tournament. They won by 3 on the road, and beat the Blue Hens at home by a dozen. 4* Money Maker NORTHEASTERNÂ |
03-04-18 | Towson v. William & Mary | 66-80 | Loss | -102 | 3 h 12 m | Show
Taking TOWSON. Tigers really took it The Tribe in 2 games. Last time they played, a 14pt win, in OT! 17-3 outscoring W&M in OT. That is crazy. Then they shot the lights out and beat them by 24 on The Tribe's home court. I know W&M can score 80ppg and is shooting 50% from the field on the year. But Towson has their number of late. In a toss up, I'll grab them for the win. 4* Money Maker TOWSON |
03-04-18 | Boston University v. Bucknell -11.5 | 59-90 | Win | 100 | 18 h 25 m | Show
Taking BUCKNELL. I am glad Boston was one of the 2 teams to knock off Bucknell in their 17-2 run through Patriot League action. We know they are not going to take them for granted. Yeah, the returned the favor with a 12 win on the road after that 5pt home loss. But they won't let Boston jump out like that. Not in a game like this. Bucknell is deep with returning players from last years team. This team has now won 4 straight Patriot League regular season titles. They won their tournament last year for the first time since 2006. They went b2b conference champs in 2005/6 and I think they do it again this year. Need to take care of business this afternoon. 4* Money Maker BUCKNELL |
03-04-18 | Liberty +2.5 v. Radford | 52-55 | Loss | -110 | 18 h 31 m | Show
Taking LIBERTY. No MLs up right now or I would be on that. So. Radford won both regular season games. 13 on the road. 2 at home, 59-57 in OT. Add in last year's conference tournament where Radford upset Liberty 56-52 and we have a steaming pile of revenge to be served. Liberty, like Radford this season, had swept the 2 regular season games before failing in March. I think this plays out exactly like last year. 4* Big South Champions LIBERTY FLAMESÂ |
03-03-18 | UC Riverside +7.5 v. Long Beach State | 59-77 | Loss | -106 | 24 h 42 m | Show
Taking RIVERSIDE. The dog is 6-2-1 ATS last 9 in the series. Long Beach on a 2-6 ATS run through Big West play, while UCR is 4-1 ATS last 5 in conference action. Also a 4-0 ATS road run helps our cause tonight. Highlanders 3-1-1 ATS last 5 trips to the beach and the road team tidy 3-0-1 ATS last 4. 4* Money Maker UC RIVERSIDEÂ |
03-03-18 | Belmont v. Murray State -2.5 | 51-68 | Win | 100 | 10 h 44 m | Show
Taking MURRAY. Belmont knocked these guys off in their only meeting this year. Not much I can say here. Both teams 16-3 Belmont, 17-2 Murray, rolled over OVC opponents. Just like the Racers a bit more. 4* Money Maker MURRAY STATEÂ |
03-03-18 | UTEP +6 v. North Texas | 68-66 | Win | 100 | 19 h 27 m | Show
Taking UTEP. Not that Tim Hardaway is gonna show with his ole, UTEP 2-step and explode for 40 tonight. But I like the points here. For starters. North Texas off their biggest win of the year beating San Antonio. (Not counting scores vs McNeese + Eureka). Every other home game has been a battle. Let us look over recent home history. L2, L8 (OT) W4, W2 (OT), W6, L3, L2 . 2-3 ATS as home faves, nearly 1-4 scoring a W by a hook in that 6 point win. UTEP was 5-0 SU/ ATS before the 63-62 loss earlier this season. 4* Money Maker UTEPÂ |
03-03-18 | Hawaii +7 v. CS-Fullerton | 68-60 | Win | 100 | 19 h 7 m | Show
Taking HAWAII. Have to grab the points here. A 3pt Fullerton win in the ocean in their first meeting. Last year, home teams. 6 in OT for Hawaii. 3 here for Fullerton. Before that, 7 straight Rainbow Ws. 7-8 and 10-5 really isn't all that much difference in my eyes. 4* Money Maker HAWAIIÂ |
03-03-18 | James Madison v. Drexel | 62-70 | Loss | -106 | 17 h 5 m | Show
Taking JAMES MADISON. Not much to separate these 2 teams. I can say, hey Madison is on 8-2 ATS run in CAA play. But this game is a pick. They have played a pair of 2 pt games. 76-74 Drexel at home, 75-73 Madison at home. James Madison is 9-1 SU last 10 in the series, 6-1 ATS last 7. 4* Money Maker JAMES MADISON |
03-03-18 | Arkansas State +6.5 v. Louisiana-Monroe | 83-79 | Win | 100 | 17 h 3 m | Show
Taking ARKANSAS STATE. So the Red Wolves won by 11 at home in the first meeting of these teams. Last year, after Arkansas State crushed ULM by 31 at home and won by 10 on the road, ULM got their revenge with a 3pt OT win in the conference tournament. The year before that. 2 more OT games between these guys. So safe to say, when Arkansas State isn't winning by double digits, we are in a dog fight. 4* Money Maker ARKANSAS STATEÂ |
03-03-18 | Robert Morris v. Wagner -8.5 | 64-75 | Win | 100 | 2 h 49 m | Show
Taking WAGNER -- Sorry for the late add everyone. Wagner beat these guys by 13 in both meeting. This is their year. Morris just doesn't measure for me in this spot. 4* Money Maker WAGNER |
03-03-18 | Kentucky v. Florida -3.5 | 67-80 | Win | 100 | 13 h 6 m | Show
Taking FLORIDA. Ok. Jumping right on the old unranked laying points to a ranked. Been saying this for the entire CBB season and even during College Football. Both teams pretty equal in my eyes across the board. Final regular season home game. Gators need 20 wins. I see them around town as an 8 seed. But I don't know. So they have 10 wins and a winning conference record. 19-12 going into the SEC tournament. You are telling me a 19-13 club, that would be 2-5 their last 7 is a sure thing for the NCAAs. This is a huge must-win for Florida. 4* Money Maker FLORIDA GATORS |
03-02-18 | Missouri State -2.5 v. Southern Illinois | 63-67 | Loss | -106 | 8 h 58 m | Show
Taking MISSOURI STATE, again. 2 seed as an underdog. Do I even need a write up? I said I like MizSt all year. They are a talented group who grossly under-performed. Much like our unranked favored over ranked. It is like the NCAAs. When a lower seed is favored, take notice. Then cash your ticket. SIU with a pair of 2pt wins this year over MzSt, one in OT. 2 of the last 3 have gone to OT with winning margins of 2-2-1. Bears are 8-2 on neutral courts, so you know we will be coming to play tonight. 4* Money Maker MISSOURI STATE BEARSÂ |
03-02-18 | Winthrop -3 v. Radford | 52-61 | Loss | -105 | 7 h 6 m | Show
Taking WINTHROP, again. Riding these guys. Radford defense hasn't shown signs it can slow down Winthrop. Split in regular season, Winthrop by 18 at home, 75-57 and Radford at home 85-79. That is a bit of a fluke in my eyes. Radford is a defensive team. I don't think they will be able to run and hit shots like. That have scored more than 78 just 3 times this year. 4* Money Maker WINTHROPÂ |
03-02-18 | Bradley -1.5 v. Drake | 63-61 | Win | 100 | 6 h 28 m | Show
Taking BRADLEY. So. We have a 5 seed favored over the 4 seed and Drake beat the Braves twice this year. 10 on the road, 2 at home. Bradley won all 3 games vs Drake last year including a 9pt MVC Tourney win. So the old hard to beat a team 3 times didn't ring true. Numbers tell me the Braves get it done. 4* Money Maker BRADLEY |
03-02-18 | Northern Iowa v. Loyola-Chicago -5.5 | 50-54 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 34 m | Show
Taking LOY CHI. Have been down on the Panthers and will back the Ramblers who ran roughshod over the MVC going 15-3 in conference play. Loy Chi crushed these by 24 at home, and won on the road by 6. This is just a bad spot for Northern Iowa. For me, I have these rated numbers wise as an upper tier team in this conference. This is just a bad match-up for them. Ramblers on a 12-3 ATS run. I just think that after 30 games, a team is what it is. And Loy-Chi is a team shooting over 50 from the field. Tough to slow that down. 4* Money Maker LOY-CHICAGOÂ |
03-01-18 | Marist +7.5 v. Fairfield | 57-71 | Loss | -102 | 10 h 30 m | Show
Taking MARIST. Alright. Red Foxes not a good club. We lost with them awhile back, but I won't be scared away. This is a nice amount of points for us. These guys split the season series, Marist a home OT win by 6 and losing by 4 on the road. I'll grab the neutral court dog here. 4* Money Maker MARISTÂ |
03-01-18 | Eastern Illinois v. Austin Peay -5 | 66-73 | Win | 100 | 9 h 17 m | Show
Taking AUSTIN PEAY. Grabbing these guys. I like Peay. Totally surprised many winning 12 games. Can't say it is fluke after an entire season. Eastern Illinois rolls in with house money as the 7 seed off a small upset. But Peay had their number this year winning on the road by 7 and at home 16. I think Eastern is flat off that win. They had lost to Tenn State by 3 and 4 during the regular season and scored a 2pt win last night ending in a last second 3 pointer being blocked. Give me the small faves. 4* Money Maker AUSTIN PEAYÂ |
03-01-18 | Valparaiso v. Missouri State -1 | Top | 79-83 | Win | 100 | 22 h 12 m | Show |
Taking MISSOURI STATE. Now. I am down on this group. I was expecting them to be a top tier MVC team this season. Yet, here we are in the play-in round. Missouri State won both games this year. Crushing Valpo on the road by 17. A game they were nearly up 30. And at home by 7, having to nip and claw their way to the win. I think Alize Johnson is a beast that Valpo can't contain. 24-17 last game vs them. 15 and 11 averages on the season. We aren't laying any huge number here. I'm on the Bears. 4* Money Maker MISSOURI STATE |
03-01-18 | Marshall +4 v. UAB | 77-91 | Loss | -106 | 21 h 32 m | Show
Taking MARSHALL. Again. You have heard me say sometimes things look to good to be true and go the other way. Especially with bigger schools. Like us the other night going down in flames with Vandy and Mississippi State. But for a smaller conference, I will move on a team getting what I believe is too many points. One. I think Marshall is better. They won in OT in the first meeting while shooting just 38% while UAB was nearly 47%. That is what a good team. Grinds out a win. We have a nice big man inside who is a human fly swatter. Plus he drops nearly a double/double a game. We have a great do everything guard, and I mean everything. 22ppg 6reb 7ast a game. Guy is everywhere. UAB 0-4 ATS run at home. 1-4 ATS in last 5 CUSA action. Herd 4-1 ATS last 5 in conference. Grabbing the dog. 4* Money Maker MARSHALLÂ |
03-01-18 | Boston University +3.5 v. Lehigh | 88-82 | Win | 100 | 7 h 6 m | Show
Taking BOSTON here. Each team won on their home courts. Boston out for revenge for last years tournament 3pt OT loss. Sign me up on the dogs. 4* Money Maker BOSTON U |
03-01-18 | Gardner-Webb v. Winthrop -8 | 68-72 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 10 m | Show
Taking WINTHROP. So, we have a lot of close teams record wise in the Big South. 12-6 for us, 9-9 for them. But Webb really had no answers for Winthrop in the 2 meetings. Lost at home 90-71 and lost on the road 90-67. Would love to see another 20+ point victory, but we only need half that. 4* Money Maker WINTHROPÂ |
02-28-18 | New Mexico -4.5 v. Colorado State | 108-87 | Win | 100 | 11 h 37 m | Show
Taking NEW MEXICO. Rams coach resigns. Assistant resigns. Where is the motivation for a team ending its season tonight. Lobos still fighting for seeding in Mountain West. CSU lost by 33 at home last time out vs Boise. 1-10 last 11 game with that win against San Jose who is win-less in MWC play and has 3 wins on the year. Never a big fan of laying with conference road faves, but will in this case. 4* Money Maker NEW MEXICOÂ |
02-28-18 | SIU-Edwardsville v. Tennessee Tech -5 | 51-60 | Win | 100 | 9 h 22 m | Show
Taking TENN TECH. So. Tech doesn't look that good as you check out the record down the stretch. 2-4. But digging deeper we see losses against Top 2 seeds in Murray and Belmont. A win over 3 seed Peay and a pair of losses to 4 seed Jacksonville State who I think can win this tournament. Laying the number here. 4* Money Maker TENN TECHÂ |
02-28-18 | Fairleigh Dickinson v. St Francis PA -9.5 | 84-75 | Loss | -106 | 9 h 3 m | Show
Taking ST FRANCIS PA tonight. They covered both games vs FDU this year winning by 8 when laying 2 on the road. And winning by 14 covering the 8 at home. This team played in the CIT last year and I think they have bigger hopes with their eyes on the NCAAs this March. When I look at this line I can see where you would think you had FDU value. STFPA went 12-6 in conference, FDU 9-9. So really, not a lot of separation. PA did win both. Francis has won 5 straight coming into tonight with 3 by more than 20 points. I'm laying it. 4* Money Maker ST FRANCIS PAÂ |
02-28-18 | George Mason +7.5 v. VCU | 81-80 | Win | 100 | 9 h 43 m | Show
Taking GEORGE MASON. Have to grab these guys. Been a covering machine as a dog lately. 5 straight doggy covers. 4 of 5 and 5 of 7 straight up wins. The losses at LaSalle 7 and at Fordham 1. VCU hasn't laid a number like this in over a month. They have dropped 3 of their last 4 and 5 of 7. Mason on a 6-1 ATS run in A10 play. 4* Money Maker GEORGE MASONÂ |
02-27-18 | Clippers v. Nuggets -4.5 | 122-120 | Loss | -105 | 11 h 3 m | Show
4* Money Maker DENVER NUGGETS |
02-27-18 | Missouri v. Vanderbilt -1.5 | 74-66 | Loss | -105 | 9 h 56 m | Show
Taking VANDERBILT. So, round 3 of our SEC home team round-robin! Again. When things look easy, I go the other way. I see an ambush. An 11 win team favored over an 18 win team. What do I even have to say to that? Vandy has been quietly playing better people. Florida, LSU, Alabama, Mississippi State, Georgia and TCU. Tigers have dropped 3 straight. Vandy 4-1 SU last 5 at home. 4* Money Maker VANDERBILT |
