01-25-20 | UTEP v. North Texas -9.5 | 57-67 | Win | 100 | 6 h 10 m | Show
Conference USA action here today has Texas El Paso playing at North Texas. UTEP Miners are 12-8 S/U and 7-10 ATS on the season. The Miners are also 3-4 S/U and 2-5 ATS in conference play this year. They are also just 3-6 ATS overall on the road. The North Texas Mean Green are not only 13-8 S/U on the season, but they are covering spread with a 15-4 ATS mark and 8-1 ATM home mark. North Texas is also doing great in conference play with a 7-1 S/U and ATS mark on the season. Hard to go against a excellent covering team like North Texas. I'm going to take the home team here this afternoon. Play North Texas. |
01-25-20 | Kansas State v. Alabama -8.5 | 74-77 | Loss | -102 | 6 h 9 m | Show
Big 12 conference play here today has Alabama hosting Kansas State. The Kansas State Wildcats are just 8-10 S/U and 6-12 ATS on the season. They are 2-6 ATS on the road and just 1-5 S/U and 2-4 ATS in conference play. Kansas State has covered just three of their last 15 games. Alabama is 11-7 S/U on the season, but covering spread with their 15-3 ATS mark. They are also 7-1 ATS at home. The Crimson Tide are 4-2 S/U and 6-0 ATS in conference play this season. Another great covering team here in Alabama may not win outright all the time, but they sure like covering spreads. Play Alabama. |
01-25-20 | Ole Miss v. Georgia -6.5 | 70-60 | Loss | -109 | 6 h 39 m | Show
SEC action today has Georgia hosting Ole Miss. The Georgia Bulldogs are 11-7 S/U and 9-8 ATS on the season. Georgia is 1-4 S/U and 2-3 ATS in SEC conference play so far and coming off a loss at Kentucky 79-89, covering the 12-point dog line. Georgia returns home where the Dogs are 8-1 S/U and 6-3 ATS on the season. Ole Miss still looking for its first conference win after a 0-5 S/U and 0-4-1 ATS start. The Rebels are 9-9 S/U and 6-11 ATS overall on the season. The Rebels have not covered a spread in their last eight games. Georgia tough at home and I look for them to win this one going away. Play Georgia. |
01-25-20 | Belmont v. Austin Peay +2 | 78-86 | Win | 100 | 5 h 4 m | Show
Ohio Valley Conference clash here on Saturday as Austin Peay hosts Belmont. The Belmont Bruins are 13-6 S/U and 10-9 ATS on the season. The Bruins are 5-2 S/U and 4-3 ATS in conference play after losing last time out at Murray State, 75-85. The Bruins do have a losing spread record on the road at 4-7 ATS on the season and 1-2 ATS in conference. Austin Peay Governors are 13-7 S/U and 13-3 ATS on the season. The Governors are also a perfect 7-0 S/U and ATS in conference play. The Governors hold the top spot in the conference and have been great at covering spreads this year. Since failing to cover their first game of the year they have been on a 13-2 run since. I like the home team a lot here on Saturday at pick or 1-point either way. |
01-23-20 | James Madison v. William & Mary -8.5 | Top | 75-88 | Win | 100 | 7 h 12 m | Show |

The Dukes are 1-6 S/U and 1-5-1 ATS in conference play. William & Mary Tribe are having an excellent season with a 14-6 S/U and 13-6 ATS mark on the year. They are also 6-1 S/U and 5-2 ATS in conference play. The Tribe did lose their first conference game last time out at Drexel, 57-84 as a 3-point road dog. I look for the Tribe to bounce back here at home after that blowout loss. I believe they will take it out here on James Madison tonight. Take the Tribe in a blowout. |
01-22-20 | Memphis v. Tulsa +3.5 | 40-80 | Win | 100 | 10 h 34 m | Show
American Athletic Association action here tonight has Memphis taking on Tulsa from Oklahoma. Memphis ranks 20th in the country with their 14-3 S/U record. The Tigers are 10-6 ATS on the season. They are also 3-2 S/U and 2-4 ATS in conference play. Things haven't gone so well for the Tigers since conference play has started. Tulsa is 12-6 S/U and 10-8 ATS on the season. The Golden Hurricane have won three straight games and are 4-1 S/U and ATS in conference play. The Hurricane find themselves a dog here tonight. Considering the way these teams have played in conference games I'm taking the points with the home team in this one. Play Tulsa. |
01-22-20 | North Dakota State v. South Dakota State | 73-78 | Win | 100 | 9 h 33 m | Show
Summit league clash here tonight between North Dakota State and South Dakota State. The North Dakota State Bison having a fine season with a 13-6 S/U and 9-8 ATS record. The Bison are 4-1 S/U and 3-2 ATS in conference play. The Bison hit the road after a pair of home wins where they are just 1-2 S/U their last three games. South Dakota State also having a fine season at 13-8 S/U and 14-6 ATS. They are also 8-1 vs the number on their home court. The Jackrabbits have covered five of their last six games and eight of their last 10. Their only home non-cover came way back on November 19th when they failed to cover the 8 1/2 point home number in a 78-73 win over North Alabama. This should be an excellent matchup here tonight, but I like the excellent home covering team in South Dakota State. |
01-22-20 | Illinois State v. Bradley -9.5 | Top | 63-75 | Win | 100 | 9 h 34 m | Show |
Missouri Valley Conference action here tonight has two rivals playing as Bradley hosts Illinois State. These close proximity teams having very different seasons thus far. Illinois State Redbirds are 6-12 S/U and 5-12 ATS on the season. The Birds have lost five straight games both S/U and ATS (all in conference). This team has also covered just once since December 7th. Bradley is 12-6 S/U and 11-7 ATS on the season. They are also 6-3 ATS at home and 4-2 S/U in conference play. The Braves failed to cover their last game, a home loss to Northern Iowa, 71-86 as a 1-point dog. That was their first non-cover in their last seven games. Still, this Bradley team is much better than Illinois State. This game has lots of recruiting implications for these two teams and that means a Bradley blowout goes a long way. Take Bradley here tonight. |
01-22-20 | St. Louis +3 v. Davidson | 59-71 | Loss | -105 | 8 h 33 m | Show
Atlantic 10 conference play finds St Louis playing at Davidson tonight. The St Louis Billikens are 14-4 S/U and 10-7 ATS on the season. They are also 3-2 S/U 2-3 ATS in conference play. The Wildcats are 2-3 S/U and 1-4 ATS in conference play. They are coming off their first win and cover in conference play with a road victory at Fordham, 74-62. Still, this team has covered just one of their last six games. Not sure why St Louis is a dog here tonight. But I'll gladly take the points. Play St Louis. |
01-22-20 | Western Kentucky v. Marshall -1 | 64-60 | Loss | -108 | 8 h 33 m | Show
Conference USA action here this evening has Western Kentucky playing at Marshall. Western Kentucky Hilltoppers are 12-6 S/U and 7-10 ATS on the season. The Hilltoppers are 5-1 S/U and 3-3 ATS in conference play. This is a back-to-back series with Marshall as these teams will meet again on Saturday at Western Kentucky. That being said, these teams will likely have had enough of each other after these two games. Marshall looks to get back to .500 today after a 9-10 starts to their season. The Herd are 9-9 ATS but only 3-7 ATS at home this year. Marshall is 3-3 S/U and 1-5 ATS at home in conference play. Marshall a small home favorite here tonight. Recent play favors the visitor quite a bit here in this game. I'm taking the better team in Western Kentucky. |
01-21-20 | Texas Tech v. TCU +3 | Top | 54-65 | Win | 100 | 7 h 30 m | Show |
Big 12 action here tonight has 18th ranked Texas Tech taking on TCU. Tech gets the top 25 ranking despite both these teams having identical 12-5 records. The Texas Tech Red Raiders are 12-5 S/U, but only 8-9 ATS. The Raiders are 3-2 S/U and ATS in conference play. They have also covered just three of their last eight games. TCU is 12-5 S/U and 6-10 ATS on the season. The Horned Frogs won their first three conference games, but have now lost two straight (both on the road). TCU has a 10-2 S/U record at home, losing to just USC 78-80 and Xavier, 58-67. Tonight, they are getting around 3 1/2 points from Texas Tech. I believe that TCU can win this game easily and the points are just some insurance for me here tonight. Take TCU. |

MAC Action here on Tuesday has the Akron Zips taking on the Miami-Ohio Redhawks from John D. Millet Hall. Akron is having a fine season at 14-4 overall and 10-6 ATS. The Zips are 4-1 both S/U and ATS in conference play, losing their first game last time out at home to Toledo, 89-99. Still, this team is very good at both winning and covering spreads. Meanwhile, Miami is 8-10 S/U and 5-11 ATS on the year. The Redhawks are just 1-4 S/U and 2-3 ATS in conference play. The Hawks only MAC win coming at home over Kent 77-74. Akron laying 4 1/2 points here today. My numbers have them at least a 7 1/2 point favorite. I'll lay the number. Play Akron. |
01-20-20 | Texas v. West Virginia -8.5 | 59-97 | Win | 100 | 6 h 10 m | Show
Big 12 Conference action here on Monday as West Virginia hosts Texas. The Longhorns are 12-5 S/U and 7-10 ATS on the season. In conference play, Texas is 2-3 S/U and ATS after losing on Saturday at home to Kansas, 57-66 as a 7 1/2 point dog. West Virginia is 14-3 S/U an 9-7 ATS on the season. The Mountaineers are 3-2 S/U and 4/1 ATS in conference play coming off a road loss at Kansas State on Saturday, 68-84 as 5 1/2 point road favorites. Despite that loss, they are still 5-1 ATS in their last six games. WVU is about a 9-point favorite here tonight. My numbers have them at least four-points higher than that. I'll take the home team and lay the points here tonight. Play West Virginia. |
01-20-20 | Winthrop +2 v. Radford | 61-56 | Win | 100 | 6 h 9 m | Show
Big South Conference action here today on the Extra board has Winthrop playing at Radford. The Winthrop Eagles are 11-7 S/U and 12-4 ATS so far this season. They are a perfect 5-0 S/U and 4-1 ATS in conference play. They also have won and covered all three of their conference road games. Radford Highlanders are 10-7 S/U and 7-6 ATS on the season. Radford is also perfect in conference play at 5-0 S/U, but just 2-3 vs the number. The Highlanders have yet to cover a game at home, going 0-3 ATS on the season. This looks to be a very good game with two undefeated conference teams. I like the visitor though in this one. I'm taking Winthrop. |
01-19-20 | Loyola-Chicago -3.5 v. Illinois State | 62-50 | Win | 100 | 5 h 31 m | Show
Missouri Valley conference action here today has Loyola Chicago taking on Illinois State. The Loyola Ramblers are 2nd in the conference standings right now with a 12-6 overall record and 4-1 conference mark. The Ramblers are also 8-8 ATS on the season and have covered their last two games. The Illinois State Redbirds are 6-11 S/U overall and 1-4 in conference play. They have also failed to cover their last four games and are 1-7 ATS their last eight games. The way Illinois State is playing of late they have been terrible and looking at these conference play I have the visitor closer to a 10-point favorite. Take Loyola Chicago today. |
01-18-20 | Utah State v. Boise State +2 | 83-88 | Win | 100 | 11 h 45 m | Show
Mountain West action here late on Saturday has Boise State hosting Utah State. Utah State having a fine season at 13-5 S/U, but not so good vs the number at just 6-11 ATS and 2-7 ATS on the road. The Aggies are also just 1-3 S/U and ATS so far in conference play. They won their first conference game last time out at Nevada, 80-70. Boise State is 11-8 S/U and 10-8 ATS on the season. They have covered six of their eight home games though. The Broncos are 2-3 S/U and 1-4 ATS in conference play thus far. Though they are 2-0 S/U and 1-1 ATS at home in conference games. Both teams struggling in conference play, but Boise is at least a decent team on their home court. I'm taking them home team. Play Boise State. |

Now they face an Austin Peay Governors team that is 11-7 S/U and 11-3 ATS on the season. The Governors are 7-3 ATS on the road. They are also the top team in the conference right now with a perfect 5-0 S/U and ATS mark. Austin Peay just the best in this conference and should have little trouble at a poor Tennessee Martin team this afternoon. Play Austin Peay. |
01-18-20 | Toledo v. Akron -6 | Top | 99-89 | Loss | -110 | 3 h 45 m | Show |
MAC action here on the hard court this early afternoon has Akron hosting Toledo. The Akron Zips are having a fine season with a 14-3 overall S/U record and 10-5 ATS mark. The Zips are a perfect 4-0 both S/U and ATS so far in conference play. They are coming off a win at Northern Illinois, 72-49 as 2 1/2 point favorites. In fact, so far in their conference games they have won each contest by at least 14 points or more. That will make a tough task here today for a Toledo Rockets team that is just 9-8 S/U and 4-12 ATS on the season. The Rockets are also just 1-3 S/U and 0-4 ATS in conference play. In fact, they have not covered a spread in 10 straight games. I love the hove team here today. Play Akron. |

This team has covered just once in their last seven games. Fairfield getting points here on Friday is a bargain. My number actually has Fairfield as a favorite. I'm taking the visitor tonight. Play Fairfield. |

North Texas has been great at covering spreads this year and have covered three straight and nine of their last 10. They are also 3-1 S/U and ATS in their four conference games. They lost their conference opener to Western Kentucky and since have won three straight. Southern Miss has not been having a good season with a 4-13 S/U and 4-10 ATS on the year. They have lost four straight (all conference games) and also have not covered any of those four. They have not been good at home either, 2-3 S/U and ATS in their last five home games. My number has North Texas a double-digit favorite here while the line is around six. That's a play for me here tonight. Take North Texas. |

UCLA not having the kind of season they are accustomed to having with just an 8-8 S/U and 6-8 ATS record. The Bruins are 1-2 S/U and ATS so far in PAC-12 play. They are coming off a home loss to USC, 57-68. Stanford actually has moved from a small favorite to a small dog here in this game. That's fine for me, I'll take that move and play on the Cardinal. Take Stanford. |
01-15-20 | Auburn v. Alabama +2 | 64-83 | Win | 100 | 7 h 30 m | Show

However, the Tide have been a covering machine at 12-3 ATS and 5-1 ATS at home this year. Alabama is 1-2 S/U and 3-0 so far in SEC action. They are also 5-1 S/U and ATS at home with their only loss coming in their season opener to Penn, 80-81. I like Alabama tonight. They face an Illinois Chicago Flames team that is 8th in the conference standings with a 6-12 overall mark, 8-9 spread record and 1-4 S/U conference record. The Flames are burning out these days with four straight losing games. They just got beat bad at home by Northern Kentucky, 52-68 as 1-point dogs. Now they face the best in this conference. 01-11-20 | Clemson +4 v. North Carolina | 79-76 | Win | 100 | 6 h 46 m | Show
ACC action here today has two teams having down seasons looking for a much needed win. The Clemson Tigers football team looks for glory on the gridiron on Monday, but the fans will have something to root for here today at North Carolina on the hard court. Clemson is 1-1 S/U and ATS in ACC play and 7-7 S/U and 8-6 ATS overall. The Tigers are off a win at home over NC State, 81-70. North Carolina had high hopes to the beginning of the season with a national ranking and a 5-0 start. However, a rough early tournament gave them a big loss to Michigan and they went on to lose five of their next six games. They have also lost their last two games, both conference games to start 0-2 in ACC play. The Tar Heels are also bad at covering, going 1-7 their last eight games. Points might be valuable in this one and that's what I'm taking. Play Clemson. |

The Hens are 2-2 S/U and ATS thus far in conference play after winning at James Madison last time out, 80-76. Towson not having a great season at just 8-9 S/U and 8-8 ATS. The Tigers snapped a three game losing streak and opened conference play with three straight losses. They have won their last two games though including last time out at home over Drexel, 89-73. The Blue Hens are the better team and getting some points helps. I'll take the visitor in this one. Play Delaware. |

01-10-20 | Wright State -10 v. IUPU-Indianapolis | 84-70 | Win | 100 | 8 h 39 m | Show
Horizon League action here today has Wright State visiting Indiana-Purdue. Wright State Raiders having a great season at 14-3 S/U and 8-6 ATS. The Raiders have won seven straight games and are 4-0 in conference play thus far. They are also 4-2 ATS their last six games. The Raiders are also 5-3 ATS on the road this season. They did win at Wisconsin Green Bay for their first conference win last game, 93-78. Still, this is not a good Indiana Purdue team and Wright State should have little trouble here tonight. I'm laying the price with the visitor in this one. Play Wright State. |
01-09-20 | Arizona v. Oregon -3 | 73-74 | Loss | -101 | 6 h 20 m | Show
Two of arguably the best PAC-12 teams meet here on Thursday evening as Oregon hosts Arizona. Arizona is 11-3 S?U and 7-7 ATS on the season. The Wildcats won their conference opener over their rivals from Arizona State, 75-47. Surprisingly though, the Cats are just 2-7 ATS in their last nine games. Oregon is 12-3 S/U and 11-3 ATS on the season. They are 1-1 in conference play, losing at Colorado 65-74 and then winning at Utah, 69-64. Unlike their opponents, they do cover very well. Despite a 2-2 ATS mark their last four games, they have failed to cover just three times in 15 games this season. This should be a great game tonight, but I'm on the home team in this one. Play Oregon. |
01-08-20 | Kansas v. Iowa State +5.5 | Top | 79-53 | Loss | -115 | 7 h 2 m | Show |

Rhode Island is 8-5 S/U and 5-8 ATS on the season. The Rams opened conference play with a home loss to Richmond, 61-69 as 2-point favorites. The road weary Wildcats at a disadvantage here tonight. I expect Rhode Island to bounce back with a home win here in this spot. Take Rhode Island. |

U Mass is 6-8 S/U and 9-5 ATS on the season. The Minutemen lost their conference opener at St Louis, 80-83 in OT as 10.5-point dogs. It was the team's fourth straight cover. Despite their difference in record, U Mass the small favorite here tonight. My number also has them as a favorite, though even higher than what the oddsmaker has for them. I'm taking the home team. Play U.Mass. |

Big 10 Conference action continues tonight for both of these clubs as Iowa takes on Nebraska from Lincoln. Iowa is 10-4 S/U and ATS on the season. The Hawkeyes look to get even in Big 10 action after starting 1-2 S/U with a loss at Penn State last time out, 86-89. The Hawkeyes have been a very good spread team, winning four straight before losing to Penn State, failing to just miss the cover at +2 1/2 points. Nebraska is also 1-2 in conference play after losing last time out at Rutgers, 62-79 as a 6-point dog. Iowa laying 8-points tonight on the road, but my own number has them around a 13-point favorite. The Wildcats are just 4-7 ATS vs the number this season. They are 1-1 in conference play after losing last time out at Marquette, 60-71 as a 1-point dog. They have also covered just once in their last nine games. Creighton might have something to prove tonight, not being ranked yet having a 12-3 record. Creighton is 1-1 in conference play, beating Marquette at home 92-75 and then losing at Butler, 57-71. They have also covered 5 of their last six games. I like the home team here tonight as they are out to prove something. Take Creighton. |

The Rebels open conference play tonight after losing their last game at Wichita State, 54-74. The loss snapped a four-game Ole Miss winning streak. A&M Aggies are 0-1 in conference play after losing at Arkansas in their opener, 59-69. A&M has been a horrible covering team this year at 2-10 ATS. They opened the season 0-9 before covering two of their last three. I'm going to take the visitor in this one against one of the worst covering teams in basketball. Take Mississippi. |

Kent laying just 3 1/2 here tonight is a steal for me. Play Kent State. |
01-06-20 | West Virginia v. Oklahoma State | 55-41 | Win | 100 | 10 h 48 m | Show
Big 12 Conference play continues here tonight for both these teams as Oklahoma State hosts West Virginia. West Virginia lost their Big 12 opener at Kansas, 53-60, but covered the 10 1/2 point dog line. It was the team's third cover in their last four games. It was only the second loss on the season for the Mountaineeers, who fell to 11-2 S/U and 6-6 ATS. They did improve though to 5-3 ATS on the road this year. Oklahoma State also lost their opener in conference play, but they were blown out at Texas Tech, 50-85. The loss dropped the Cowboys to 9-4 S/U and 6-7 ATS. The Hawks lost their conference opener at Siena, 69-75, just failing to cover the 5-point dog line. Still, the Hawks are 4-1 S/U their last five games. |||||||
01-04-20 | Oral Roberts +2 v. Nebraska-Omaha | Top | 67-74 | Loss | -111 | 20 h 50 m | Show |
Summit League action here on Saturday has Oral Roberts taking on Nebraska- Omaha. The Oral Roberts Golden Eagles are 6-7 S/U and 7-3 ATS. The Eagles are no strangers to playing on the road, with eight road games of their 13 total. They are just 1-7 S/U on the road this year, but have covered five of those games. Their road resume has been a tough one too, with away games at Oklahoma State, Tulsa, Iowa, Wichita State, Creighton and BYU. So playing at Nebraska-Omaha should be of little concern to them here today. Meanwhile, Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks are 8-8 S/U and 8-7 ATS on the season. This game right around a pick'em today, but my numbers have Oral Roberts around 5 to 7 point favorite. Take the road team in this one today. Play Oral Roberts. |

The Razorbacks only loss coming on the road in OT to Western Kentucky, 79-86. The Razorbacks are 6-2 ATS at home this season. Arkanas is a 13-point chalk here today, but all my numbers have them over a 20-point favorite. I like the home team in a blowout win here today. Play Arkanas. |

North Carolina is 8-5 S/U and 3-10 ATS on the season. The Tar Heels not having near the kind of season they are used to having. After starting the season 5-0 and 6-1, they are just 2-4 S/U and 1-5 ATS with both those wins coming in their last two games. Here they are laying 9-points to Tech. The Tar Heels are still a class team, but they aren't covering spreads. I'm taking the visitor and the points in this one. Play Georgia Tech. |

The last one was opening night way back in November when they won at Clemson, 67-60 to chalk up their first win and conference win. Since then it's been all home games with some tourney games thrown in for good measure. Virginia is 10-2 S/U and 3-9 ATS on the seaason. The Cavaliers have covered just one time in their last 10 games and that was against North Carolina in a 56-47 win. My own line has Virginia closer to 3-points then the 7 1/2 we are seeing here on the board. I can't pass on that line in this rivalry. Play Virginia Tech. |
01-04-20 | Iowa +2.5 v. Penn State | 86-89 | Loss | -108 | 14 h 49 m | Show
Philadelphia, PA is the site for today's Big 10 clash between top 25 teams Iowa and Penn State. No. 23 Iowa is 10-3 S/U and ATS this season. The Hawkeyes have won four straight games both S/U and ATS. They are 1-1 S/U and ATS in Big 10 action from a pair of games in early December. Penn State is ranked 21 in the country. The Nittany Lions have won four straight games S/U and 2-2 ATS in their last four (all home games). This should be one of the better games on Saturday. Still, the Friars are 0-6 ATs this year on the road. Depaul saw its three game winning streak snapped last game at home to Seton Hall, 66-74. That was the team's first conference game. Depaul is a 3-point favorite here today, but my numbers have them from 5 1/2 to 7 points. I'm going to take the home team here. Play Depaul. |
01-02-20 | Tenn-Martin v. Murray State -12 | 76-89 | Win | 100 | 7 h 36 m | Show
Ohio Valley Conference play begins in earnest tonight for both these clubs. The Tennessee Martin Skyhawks are just 4-7 in non-conference play and 3-6 ATS. They broke a three-game losing streak last game, but that was to Div II Mount St Joseph, 92-72. That was their first home game since November 11th. Now it's back on the road as conference play begins to face the Racers of Murray State. Murray State is 6-5 S/U and 4-6 ATS in their non-conference schedule. They have covered three of their last four games but lost last time out at Evansville in OT, 76-78, failing to cover the 2-point favorite line. We have to lay double-digits here tonight, but I believe the Racers will have little trouble with Tennessee Martin. Take Murray State. |

They play their third of four straight conference road games here tonight. They are 7-6 S/U and 4-6 ATS overall this season. The Arkansas LR Trojans are 8-5 S/U and 8-4 ATS on the season. They are 2-0 S/U and 1-1 ATS in conference play, both on the road. They return home tonight for their first home conference game. Texas State has to be a bit road weary here tonight and I expect the Arkansas LR crowd to be flying high for their first home conference game. Play Arkansas Little Rock. |

Western Kentucky Hilltoppers are 7-5 S/U and 4-7 ATS. The Hilltoppers have lost two straight games and have covered two of their last six games. They are coming off a home loss to Belmont, 62-79 as a one-point favorite. North Texas has been much better team for the bettors and with that I'll be taking the points with there here tonight. Play North texas. |

Meanwhile, Duquesne is also 10-2 S/U and little less successful vs the number at 5-6. The Dukes have not been a dog yet in any of their games, thus their best opponents have been Austin Peay, UAB and Marshall. They lost at home to Marshall in their last game, 61-83 as a 7-point favorite. I like the visitor to win this one outright tonight. I'm taking St Louis. |
01-01-20 | Utah State -7 v. UNLV | Top | 53-70 | Loss | -112 | 13 h 27 m | Show |
Utah State opens the New year with a road conference game here late on Wednesday at UNLV. This is not their first Mountain West conference game. The Aggies played two games in early December, beating San Jose State and Fresno State, but failing to cover both as double-digit favorites. The Aggies finally broke their spread drought, covering last spread game vs Florida, 65-62 as a dog. UNLV not having a good year under first year coach TJ Otzelberger. The Running Rebels have won and covered their last two home games vs Robert Morris and Eastern Michigan. The Rebels are 7-7 ATS. My number has Utah State at or over 10 point favorite. Here they are laying around 7 and I'll lay that number tonight. Play Utah State. |

Big East conference play begins today with Georgetown taking on Providence tonight. The Georgetown Hoyas finished their non-conference slate with a 10-3 S/U mark and 8-5 ATS record. The Hoyas are on a six game win streak S/U and have covered six straight and eight of their last nine games. Their only losses have come to Duke and UNC Greensboro. The later coming on the heals of the Duke loss. Providence has not had the kind of non-conference results it would like, posting a 7-6 S/U and 3-9 ATS record. The Friars have covered just once in their last eight games and that came in the last outing at home over Texas, 70-48. The Friars have had mixed results, losing by 28 to Florida, beating Stony Brook by just four, losing to both Long Beach and College of Charleston and losing to Northwestern. Georgetown the much more consistent team here and they have been covering spreads. I'm taking the visitor in this one. Play Georgetown. |

Illinois State has not had a very good non-conference schedule, going just 5-7 S/U and 4-7 ATS. The Redbirds have failed to cover their last three games and five of their last seven games. They are 5-1 S/U at home, but that has come against the likes of Illinois-Springfield, Morehead and Belmont. They haven't played anyone of this caliber at home. I'm taking the visitor here on Tuesday. Play Northern Iowa. |

They are 6-2 S/U at home and 2-3 ATS. I'm going to lay the points here tonight with Wright State. Play Wright State. |

Both these Colonial Athletic teams come into tonight's contest with seven wins. The Northeastern Huskies opened conference play with a win at Towson State, 61-45, covering the 2-point dog line. It was the team's second straight road win and cover. Northeastern is 4-2 S/U and AS on the road this year. The James Madison Dukes are 7-5 S/U and 5-6 ATS on the season. The Dukes lost their conference opener at home to Hofstra, 76-82, failing to cover the 2 1/5 point dog line. The line in this game has Northeastern around 2 1/2 to 3 point favorite. My own line has them closer to seven points. I will take the road team here on Monday. Play Northeastern. |
12-30-19 | Hofstra +1 v. Towson | 75-67 | Win | 100 | 11 h 19 m | Show

Hofstra, 10-4 S/U and 8-5 ATS, opened conference play with a win at James Madison, 82-76, covering the 2 1/2 point favorite line. It was the fourth straight win for the Pride, both S/U and ATS. The Towson Tigers lost their conference opener at home to Northeastern, 45-61, failing to cover the 2-point line as a favorite. The Tigers are 1-4 ATS their last five games and 2-3 S/U. This game is a pick, but I have the road team favored in this one. I'm taking the road team. Play Hofstra. |
12-28-19 | Northern Arizona +6.5 v. Montana | 72-79 | Loss | -117 | 9 h 26 m | Show
Big Sky Conference action starts today as Northern Arizona takes on Montana in both team's conference openers. NAU finsihed their non-con schedule 6-3 S/U and 5-2 ATS. They did beat a good South Dakota team, 76-72 and a good Nebraska-Ohaha club, 73-65. They have now covered four straight games. Montana finished their non-con schedule at 4-7 S/U and 3-6 ATS. The Grizzlies lost their last two games to Nebraska-Ohaha and Oregon, failing to cover either game. This team was not competitive in their games vs Stanford, Arkansas, Washington and Oregon, losing by double digits in all those games. NAU getting 6.5-points here tonight which is a bit too high according to my numbers. I'll take the points with Northern Arizona. |
12-28-19 | NC-Wilmington v. Delaware -12 | Top | 68-82 | Win | 100 | 7 h 27 m | Show |
Colonial Athletic Association conference play begins today for both these teams as UNC Wilmington travels to Delaware. The UNCW Seahawks finished their non-con schedule with a 5-8 S/U and 4-5 ATS record. Three of those wins came against Div II teams Johnson & Wales, North Carolina Weslyan and Emory & Henry. Not exactly a great resume of wins there. They have covered just one of their last five games heading into today's contest. They will face a very good Blue Hen's squad that was 10-3 in their non-con games with a 8-4 spread record. Delaware is one of the best in this conference. They started the season 9-0 before dropping three of their last four games. I expect this team to be at the top come conference tourney time. I'll lay the points with them here today. Play Delaware. |
12-28-19 | CS-Northridge +9 v. Boise State | 72-103 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 27 m | Show
Big West conference Cal Northridge Matadors travel to Idaho to take on the Mountain West's Boise State Broncos this evening. Northridge not having a good non-con result thus far at just 3-10 S/U and 6-6 ATS. The Matadors started the season 0-5 ATS, but since then they have covered six of their next seven games. The good news for CSUN is that they get back their most dynamic scorer in Lamine Diane. Diane returned after coming off an injury to score 30 points in the team's last game vs Pacific. That will be a huge boost to this Matadors' team. Boise State plays its last non-con game here today. The Broncos are 8-5 S/U and 8-4 ATS thus far. They are coming off a win over Texas El Paso on Christmas day, 72-67. Boise looks to content for the Mountain West title this year as they have a decent team. For me, with Diane back for CSUN, I think this is too many points to give them tonight. Play Cal State Northridge. |
12-28-19 | Eastern Washington -2 v. Weber State | 79-77 | Push | 0 | 4 h 27 m | Show
Big Sky conference game here today features Eastern Washington at Weber State. Eastern Washington Eagles are 7-4 S/U and 7-2 ATS on the season. The rest of the way it's all Big Sky for the Eagles. They are coming off a big loss, but it was to powerhouse Gonzaga, 77-112. It was their first spread loss in their last seven games. Weber State is just 4-7 S/U and 2-6 ATS as they head into conference play. The Wildcats are off a loss to instate rival BYU, 61-91. It was their 2nd spread loss in a row. Two of the cats four wins have come against Div II opponents West Coast Baptist and Bethesda University. They also scored just 34 points at their other instate rival Utah back in their opening game. This Weber State team is not very goo while Eastern Washington looks to be one of the top Big Sky teams this year. Play Eastern Washington. |

12-25-19 | Houston v. Washington +1 | Top | 75-71 | Loss | -107 | 9 h 22 m | Show |
Christmas Day basketball action has the Diamondhead Classic from Honolulu tonight. It's the Houston Cougars taking on the Washington Huskies in late game. Both these teams having excellent seasons. The Cougars are 9-3 S/U and 6-6 ATS on the season. The Cougars are 2-0 both S/U and ATS in the Diamondhead Classic, beating by Portland 81-56 and then Georgia Tech, 70-59. Washington comes in ranked 21st in the country. The Huskies beat Ball State in the opener, 85-64 and then beat host Hawaii, 72-61, covering both games. This should be a great finish to the Classic tonight. I'm taking the Huskies here as either pick'em or plus 1. Play Washington. |
12-21-19 | Weber State v. BYU -17.5 | 61-91 | Win | 100 | 8 h 23 m | Show
Battle of the Beehive State here this evening as BYU takes on Weber State from Provo, UT. Weber not having a very good season at just 4-6 S/U and 2-5 ATS. These teams didn't meet in their recent Beehive Tourney where Weber lost to Utah U, 49-60. They did come back with a win over Bethesda last time out, 109-62. This Weber team has wins over Bethesda, Westcliff and West Coast Baptist, not exactly top notch talent there. BYU is 9-4 S/U and 7-5 ATS. The Cougars have won three straight games both S/U and ATS. In the Beehive tourney they beat Utah State, 68-64 as a 1-point dog. That was a week ago, as the Cougars are well rested for today's contest. This is a total mismatch as BYU should easily win this game and cover the 17.5 point spread. My own numbers have BYU well over a 20 point favorite in this one. Play BYU. |
12-21-19 | Cincinnati v. Iowa -2.5 | 70-77 | Win | 100 | 8 h 22 m | Show
Chicago Legends Classic Tourney here today from Chicago, Illinois as Cincinnati takes on Iowa. Cincinnati is 7-4 S/U and 3-8 ATS on the season. The Bearcats are coming off a win over Tennessee at home, 78-66, covering the 1.5-point dog line. The Cats haven't covered much this year. In fact that was just the second time in their last nine games. Iowa has won two straight games and three of their last four. They have covered two straight and three of four. This is a good covering team in the Hawkeyes. Iowa just a 3-point favorite here this evening. My number has Iowa up around 7 to 8 points here tonight. I'm taking IOWA. |
12-21-19 | Oregon State -6 v. Texas A&M | Top | 49-64 | Loss | -110 | 8 h 53 m | Show |
Oregon State not getting a lot of love as they are not ranked despite a nice 9-1 S/U record. They have also covered eight of 10 spreads, so they are doing well for the bettors too. The Beavers haven't lost since Nov 12 to Oklahoma. Since then they are 7-0 S/U and 6-1 ATS. They are off a win at Texas San Antonio, 88-78 as a 8.5-point favorite. This team can score points, evidenced by their 80+ points in five straight games and six of the last seven. Texas A&M is 4-5 S/U and 0-9 ATS on the season. The Aggies have yet to cover a spread, which is horrible. They finally snapped a four-game losing streak though with a win over Texas A&M Corpus Christi, 63-60. Unlike OSU, this team doesn't score much, 63 or fewer points in eight straight. Big mismatch in my opinion here tonight. Oregon State is a 6.5-point road favorite here tonight. My own numbers have OSU over a double-digit favorite tonight. I'm taking the Beavers tonight. Play Oregon State. |
12-21-19 | Dayton -5 v. Colorado | 76-78 | Loss | -110 | 6 h 52 m | Show
Chicago Legends Classic tourney action today from Chicago Illinois has Dayton taking on Colorado. Dayton ranked 13th in country with a nifty 9-1 S/U record and 7-3 ATS mark. The Flyers only loss this season was an OT setback to Kansas back on Nov 27th, 84-90 as a 4-point dog. The Flyers did fail to cover last time out though as a 16-point chalk, beating North Texas, 71-58. Colorado started the season nicely, going 7-0 S/U. However, since then they are just 2-3 S/U, though they have won their last two games over Colorado State and Prairie View A&M. The Buffs got beat badly by Kansas (similar opponent), 58-72, failing to cover the 10-point line. Dayton favored by 5.5-points here today. My own line has the Flyers at least 3-points more than that. I like Dayton here today. Play Dayton. |
12-21-19 | Kentucky v. Ohio State -2.5 | 65-71 | Win | 100 | 5 h 12 m | Show
The Marquee matchup of the day in college basketball comes in the CBS Sports Classic tournament in Las Vegas, NV. No 6 Kentucky takes on No 5 Ohio State. The Buckeyes find themselves a 3 to 4 point favorite in this matchup. Ohio State is 10-1 S/U and 9-2 ATS this season. The Buckeyes only loss came just last week on Dec 15 when they lost at Minnesota, 71-84 as a 7.5 point road favorite. The Buckeyes did take it out on SE Missouri Stat the next game, beating them by 32 points, 80-48 and covering the 29-point line. Kentucky is 8-2 S/U and 3-6 ATS this season. The Wildcats are coming off a loss on a neutral court to Utah, 66-69 as a 11-point favorite. I had Utah in that game. The Cats are not a good covering team, that is the difference between them and Ohio State. This is going to be a great game and likely a close one. But I like a team that proves they can cover spreads and for me, that's Ohio State. |
12-19-19 | Appalachian State +5 v. South Alabama | 81-71 | Win | 100 | 9 h 38 m | Show
Two 6-4 teams matchup here tonight as South Alabama takes on Appalachian State. The App State Mountaineers are coming off a road win at Howard, 81-59. That was their third cover in a row and fourth in their last five games. South Alabama Jaguars are off a home win over Alabama A&M, 89-79 but failing to cover their 18.5-point favorite. It was their third game in a row without a cover. My own line has this game very close to a pick'em. For me, I like App State to even win this game outright. Play Appalachian State. |
12-19-19 | Maryland -6 v. Seton Hall | 48-52 | Loss | -115 | 8 h 38 m | Show
Maryland ranked 7th in the country entering tonight's contest at Seton Hall. The Terps are 10-1 S/U and 5-6 ATS on the season. Maryland suffered its first loss in the last game at Penn State, 69-76. That also was the team's first true road game. Seton Hall is 6-4 S/U and ATS on the season. The Pirates have lost two straight games to Iowa State (66-76) and then at Rutgers (48-68). The Terps are 6 1/2 point road favorites here tonight. My own numbers have Maryland a bigger favorite here tonight. I like the Terps on the road tonight. Play Maryland. |
12-19-19 | William & Mary -1 v. St. Joe's | Top | 69-84 | Loss | -108 | 8 h 38 m | Show |
William & Mary having a fine season thus far at 8-3 S/U and 8-2 ATS. The Tribe have won three straight games and covered three of their last four line games. St Joe's not having such a good season at just 2-9 S/U and 4-6 ATS. The Hawks have lost eight straight games and covered just one of their last six. The Hawks are off a 47-point loss at Temple, 61-108. Still, despite what I see as a big edge to the visitor, they are just a 1 to 2 point favorite here tonight. My own number has them well above that. Take William & Mary. |
12-18-19 | Kentucky v. Utah +11.5 | 66-69 | Win | 100 | 11 h 57 m | Show
Las Vegas, NV is the venue for tonight's game between two eight-win game teams. No 6 ranked Kentucky will take on 8-1 Utah. Kentucky has won six straight games since their one loss back on Nov 12 to Evansville, 64-67 as a 25-point dog. The Wildcats should be a perfect 11-0 and could be ranked No 1 if not for a loss to a 25-point dog. The Cats aren't the best covering team though, with a 3-5-1 ATS mark. In fact, after starting the season 2-0 ATS they are just 1-5-1 since. Utah's lone loss this year has come at the hands of Coastal Carolina of all teams. The Utes lost that game on a neutral court back on Nov 21st as a 4 1/2 point chalk. They have covered three straight games. One of my lines has Utah just a 3-point dog here tonight, well below the current 11-point dog line. I'm going too take the points with the dog here tonight. Play Utah. |
12-18-19 | Cal Poly v. CS Sacramento -10 | 56-57 | Loss | -112 | 10 h 2 m | Show
Cal Poly Mustangs brings a 2-8 record into Sacramento to play the Hornets, 6-2. The Hornets had a very good season, going 6-2 S/U on the season and covering all six of their posted lines. This also has been accomplished with just one of those lines at home this year. Cal Poly has just two wins and they are off a drubbing at the hands of Fresno State, 37-62. Fresno not a good team this year so this games shows us how bad Cal Poly is this year. I like Sac State quite a bit tonight. Play Sacramento State. |
12-18-19 | St. Mary's v. Arizona State +1.5 | Top | 96-56 | Loss | -110 | 9 h 58 m | Show |
Hall of Fame Showcase tourney action tonight is a semi-home game here for Arizona State as they take on St Mary's. This game being played in Phoenix and ASU in nearby Tempe. St Mary's is 9-2 S/U and 4-7 ATS on the season. The Gaels are off a win over Cal, 89-77, but lost the game before on a neutral court to Dayton, 68-78. The Gaels have covered just one of their last four and two of six. Arizona State has won five straight games after their last win over Georgia, 79-59 as a 4.5-point favorite. The Sun Devils are 5-0 S/U at home and like I stated, they will have a slight home advantage here tonight. I think ASU should be a slight favorite here tonight, but they are getting 1 to 2 points. I'll take that with a very good ASU team. Play Arizona State. |
12-18-19 | Canisius +8.5 v. Buffalo | 73-82 | Loss | -110 | 7 h 57 m | Show
Metro Atlantic vs Mid American conference here tonight. Canisius of the Metro, is 5-4 S/U and 6-2 ATS on the season. The Golden Griffins had covered six straight games until last time out where they beat Holy Cross 80-72, but failed to cover the 11-point line. Still, this is a very good covering team that is also 4-1 ATS on the road this year. Buffalo is 6-4 S/U and 3-6 ATS on the season. The Bulls are off a home loss to Army, 76-89 as a 15.5-point favorite. The Bulls are installed as a 8 to 9 point chalk here today. I feel that is way too many points to give a good covering team like Canisius. One of my lines have this closer to Buffalo minus two points. I'm taking the visitor here, Take Canisius. |
12-17-19 | Miami-FL v. Temple -2 | Top | 78-77 | Loss | -117 | 11 h 28 m | Show |
Hall of Fame Invitational tournament action here tonight from Brooklyn, NY has the Temple Owls taking on the Miami Florida Hurricanes. The Canes are 6-3 S/U and 7-2 ATS so far this season. Miami has covered just one of its last five games. Their last tourney they went 1-2 S/U and 0-3 ATS. Temple has also been in one tourney and they went 2-1 S/U and 3-0 ATS. They are now 7-1 S/U and 5-3 ATS on the year. The Owls have covered five of their last six games now. Temple laying just 1 or 1 1/2 here tonight. One of my numbers have the Owls as a much larger favorite on this neutral court. I'm taking the Owls here tonight. Play Temple. |
12-15-19 | Purdue -12 v. Nebraska | Top | 56-70 | Loss | -109 | 14 h 12 m | Show |
Big 10 Conference action here on Sunday as Purdue takes on Nebraska. The Purdue Boilermakers are 6-3 S/U and 5-4 ATS on the season. Purdue has had four days off since they beat Big 10 opponent Northwestern, 58-44. The Boilermakers beat defending Champion Virginia the previous game, 69-40. The defense has been outstanding, holding four of the last six opponents to under 50 points. Nebraska plays its second Big 10 contest here today. The Huskers are 4-6 on the season both S/U and ATS. Nebraska lost it's opener in the Big 10 in OT at Indiana, 90-96, covering the 17.5 point dog line. Nebraska returns home for the first time in its last eight games. After today, they have two non-conference games before jumping into the Big 10. Purdue laying 12 here today. One of my key numbers has the Boilermakers just over 18. I like Purdue here today as I'll lay the double digits. Play Purdue. |
12-14-19 | Drake v. Dayton -15 | Top | 47-78 | Win | 100 | 8 h 56 m | Show |
Drake comes into tonight's contest a large dog, despite their 8-2 record they aren't getting much love from the oddsmaker here in this one. Looking at their games, tehir one real tough game is a loss at Cincinnati, 59-81 as a 11.5-point dog. Their other loss came in a neutral site tourney game to Miami Ohio, 59-67 as a 4.5-point favorite. Dayton meanwhile, is 7-1 S/u and 6-2 ATS and has played plenty of tough competition. They lost in OT in their one setback to Kansas, 84-90. They beat a good St Mary's team by 10 points, Georgia by 19 points and Virgina Tech by 27 points. My number has Dayton over a 20 point favorite here tonight and I can see why because of the level of competition. I'll lay that big number with the Flyers here tonight. Play Dayton. |
12-14-19 | Oklahoma v. Wichita State -4 | 75-80 | Win | 100 | 7 h 56 m | Show
Oklahoma making a visit here this evening to Wichita State. Both teams enjoying fine seasons thus far with the Sooners at 7-1 S/U and 4-4 ATS. Meanwhile, the Shockers are 8-1 S/U and 5-4 ATS. Surprisingly, neither team ranked in the top 25. Oklahoma coming off a narrow road win at North Texas last time out, 82-80, failing to cover the 6-point spread. The Sonners have covered just one of their last five games. Wichita State is coming off a big road win at Oklahoma State, 80-61, covering the 4-point dog line. It was their 2nd cover in a row and third in their last four games. The Shockers are a perfect 6-0 at home, while covering three of the six. Small line to cover here tonight for the Shockers. I'll lay the points with the home team. Play Wichita State. |
12-14-19 | San Francisco -9 v. CS-Fullerton | 91-69 | Win | 100 | 6 h 56 m | Show
San Francisco having a fine season thus far at 8-2 S/U and 4-5 ATS. The Dons are coming off a big win over their rivals, California, 76-64, covering the 8 1/2 point line. Tonight, they lay around 8-points to Cal Fullerton. Fullerton is just 3-8 S/U and 3-7 ATS on the season. They are also 0-3 ATS at home this year. They have lost five straight games and covered just one of their last five. Fullerton has lost their last two games, both at home, to San Diego 54-66 and to Sacramento State, 59-62. This is not a very good Fullerton team that must now content with a very good San Francisco club. I'll lay the points here tonight. Play 683. San Francisco. |
12-10-19 | Indiana v. Connecticut +1.5 | 57-54 | Loss | -107 | 9 h 5 m | Show
Jimmy V Classic from New York, NY here tonight has Indiana taking on U Conn. The Hoosiers are 8-1 S/U and 6-3 ATS thus far on the season. Indiana played its first road game of the season last time out and picked up its only loss, losing at Wisconsin, 64-84 as a 1-point dog. Now they play a road game, though not true road game on this neutral court. U Conn has played three neutral court games thus far, going 2-1 S/U and 3-0 ATS, with their only loss an OT setback to Xavier, 74-75. Indiana laying right at 2-points here tonight. I'm going to take U Conn as I look for them to win this game. Indiana didn't look good on the road and U Conn has had plenty of road experience thus far. Take Connecticut. |
12-10-19 | Butler +5 v. Baylor | Top | 52-53 | Win | 100 | 21 h 4 m | Show |
19th ranked Butler looks to improve to a perfect 10-0 here tonight at 11th ranked Baylor. The Bulldogs not only are a 9-0 to start the season, but have covered six of their eight spread games. The Bulldogs are coming off a win at home over Florida, 76-62 as a 4-point favorite. Baylor also having a good season at 7-1 S/U and 5-3 ATS. The Bears lone loss coming back in game two to Washington, 64-67. Baylor is a 5-point favorite here tonight. My numbers have them smaller, closer to 2 or 2 1/2. That being said, I expect a close game here tonight that could go either way. I'll take the five points though with the dog. Play Butler. |
12-08-19 | Dayton -3.5 v. St. Mary's | 78-68 | Win | 100 | 5 h 9 m | Show
Neutral site game here on Sunday between two very good teams as Dayton takes on St Mary's in the Jerry Colangelo Classice in Phoenix, AZ. Dayton ranked in the top 25 with their 6-1 S/U and 5-2 ATS records. They play St Mary's which is 8-1 S/U and 3-6 ATS on the season. This is the 2nd tournament for Dayton after playing a three-game set at the end of November. They suffered their only loss of the season in that tournament in OT to Kansas, 84-90. St Mary's has played predominately at home, with just one road game vs Wisconsin and one tournament game thus far. Their only loss came in a home shocker to Winthrop, 59-61 in which they were a 17 1/2 point favorite. This team hasn't covered spreads well though, going just 3-6. Today is the first time in the dog role though as Dayton a small favorite. One of my numbers has Dayton much higher though. I like Dayton here today. Play Dayton. |
12-07-19 | Fresno State v. Utah State -12.5 | Top | 70-77 | Loss | -110 | 21 h 33 m | Show |
Fresno State not a very good team at just 2-5 S/U and 0-5 ATS on the season. Now they face 25th ranked Utah State here on Saturday afternoon. Utah State is 8-1 S/U and 4-5 ATS on the season. Fresno is so bad that they game a 0-7 Cal Northridge team its first win of the season, 72-73. Then lost at home to UNLV, 80-81, two teams they were favored against and lost straight up. Now they hit the road for a three straight beginning with today's game. Utah State has just one loss, that coming on the road to a very good St Mary's team, 67-75 as a 2.5-point dog. The Aggies rebounded though with a win at San Jose State, 71-59. I am very anti-Fresno and with a very good Utah State team here today laying just 12 1/2 points, that's an early Christmas present as far as I'm concerned. Take Utah State in a blowout. |
12-06-19 | Stephen F Austin +10.5 v. Alabama | 68-78 | Win | 100 | 9 h 8 m | Show
Stephen Austin Lumberjacks having a fine season at 7-1 S/U and 5-1 ATS. The Lumberjacks have already beaten Duke in OT, 85-83 and a decent Drexel team, 82-67. Their lone loss this season came at Rutgers, 57-69. They will go on the road here tonight and play Alabama. Despit their losing record of 3-4 S/U, the Tide find themselves installed as a double-digit favorite here on Friday. Alabama just came off a three-game tournament in which they went 1-2, winning the last game over Southern Miss, 83-68 as a 11.5 point favorite. The Tide have lost at home to Penn this year, 80-81. One of my numbers has Alabama as a dog in this game. That's a number that reflects their total play and shows that this team has had its issues. I'm taking the double digits here today with the dog. Play Stephen Austin. |
12-04-19 | UNLV +4.5 v. Fresno State | 81-80 | Win | 100 | 9 h 53 m | Show
The 3-6 UNLV Running Rebels play a conference game tonight as they take on the 2-4 Fresno State Bulldogs. Both clubs have had tough non-conference results thus far. UNLV has lost two tough OT games against good teams. They lost in OT to Kansas State, 55-60, and then last time out lost in OT at Cincinnati, 65-72. They did cover the last game as a 12-point dog. Fresno is coming off a loss to Cal Northridge, 73-73 as a 7-point favorite. They gave Northridge their first win of the season against seven losses. Fresno has yet to cover a game this year, with five losses and one push. Not sure Fresno should be laying points to anyone at this juncture of the season. Tonight they give UNLV 4 1/2 points. UNLV has shown they can play good teams and hang in there. I'll take these points tonight. Play UNLV. |
12-03-19 | Murray State +4.5 v. Missouri State | 69-71 | Win | 100 | 7 h 20 m | Show
Murray State comes into this game with a 4-3 S/U and 1-5 ATS record. The Racers lost two of their three in their recent tournament. They failed to cover all three games also. SW Missouri State is 3-5 S/U and 4-3-1 ATS. The Bears have been in every game except their last which they lost to LSU, 58-73. Mo State laying around four tonight. My number has them quite a bit higher. I'm taking that and laying the point with the home club. Play SW Missouri State. |
12-03-19 | Texas A&M Corpus Christi +8 v. Texas-San Antonio | 67-89 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 19 m | Show
Battle of Texas here tonight as Texas A&M CC takes on Texas San Antonio. The San Antonio RoadRunners have not covered a spread in their six attempts. They are also 1-6 S/U with their only win coming at home to Wiley College, 90-68. This has not been a very good team. They must now face a Corpus Christ team that has won three straight games and covered two straight. The Islanders are just a 2-point dog accouridng to both my numbers. Yet, the oddsmaker has installed them a 8-point dog to a team that has just one win and no covers this season. I fully expect Corpus Christi to have a good shot at winning this game outright, but I'll take the 8-points that the oddsmaker has genously given me. Play Texas A&M Corpus Christi. |
12-03-19 | Michigan +5.5 v. Louisville | Top | 43-58 | Loss | -108 | 7 h 50 m | Show |
Michigan has climbed all the way up to No 4 in the country as they take on top ranked Louisville tonight. This in in big part to their recent play, which included wins over Gonzaga (82-64), North Carolina (73-64) and Iowa State (83-76). Those key wins improved the Wolverines to 7-0 S/U and 5-2 ATS on the season. Top ranked Louisville is also 7-0 S/U, but just 3-4 ATS on the season. Louisville laying around 5 1/2 points here tonight. My numbers have this game anywhere from pick to 2 points on Louisville. Michigan proved they can beat the best and I won't be surprised if they pull it off again here tonight. Take the points with the visitor in this one, play Michigan. |
12-02-19 | Columbia v. Delaware -6 | Top | 76-84 | Win | 100 | 6 h 23 m | Show |
Delaware puts its perfect 8-0 record on the line tonight at home against the Ivy league's Columbia. The Blue Hens are also 6-1 against the number this year. While the resume has no heavyweights on it, they are all the caliber of tonight's opponent. Their only non-cover came in their last game in a win over Maryland Eastern Shore, 75-56, failing to cover the 20.5 point chalk line. Columbia is 3-5 S/U and 4-4 on the season. The Lions have won two straight games over Central Connecticut and Lehigh. This team has played some heavyweights, losing to Virginia (42-60), Wake Forest (63-65) and St Johns (63-82). Don't see Columbia coming close to putting a "L" in that Delaware loss column. I'm taking Delaware tonight. |
12-01-19 | Southern Illinois v. St. Louis -12.5 | 60-69 | Loss | -118 | 4 h 30 m | Show
Southern Illinois is 3-4 S/U and 2-4 ATS on the season. The Salukis snapped a four-game losing streak with a win at home over NC Central, 64-48, covering the 9-point chalk line. St Louis has been really good this year, going 6-1 S/U and 5-2 ATS. The Billikens are coming off a road win at Boston College, 64-54 as a 1.5-point dog. The team's only loss came at home to Seton Hall, 66-83. St Louis laying 13 points at home today. My one indicator has them much higher than that. I'll lay the points here with St Louis. |
12-01-19 | NC-Wilmington +20 v. Stanford | 54-72 | Win | 100 | 4 h 30 m | Show
Stanford might be the class of this PAC-12 with a 7-1 S/U and 7-1 ATS record. The Cardinal just lost its first game though, a neutral site setback to Butler, 67-69 as a 3 1/2 point dog. Now they return home for one game and will lay about 20-points here to Wilmington. UNC Wilmington is 5-4 S/U and 3-3 ATS. Wilmington can cover these big spreads, they covered 22-points in a loss to North Carolina, 62-78. My own number has Stanford laying about 4-points less. I rely on my own numbers a lot early in the season. Take the points here, play UNC Wilmington. |
11-30-19 | Tennessee v. VCU +1 | Top | 72-69 | Loss | -109 | 5 h 18 m | Show |
Emerald Classic first round action today from Niceville, Florida has Tennessee taking on VCU. Both teams suffered their respecitve first losses of the season in this tournament. Tennessee was 5-0 before losing last night to Florida State, 57-60, narrowly missing the +1.5-point cover. VCU lost a hard-fought battle to Purdue last night, 56-59, also just failing to cover the 2.5-point dog line. This game is very evenly matched and I won't be surprised to see this one come right down to the end of the game to find a winner. However, taking 2-points with VCU is what I'm doing here tonight since I look for VCU to win this game outright. Play Virginia Commonwealth. |

11-30-19 | NC-Greensboro +7 v. Georgetown | 65-61 | Win | 100 | 3 h 17 m | Show
A bit surprsed that Greensboro getting seven pints here today on the road. This has been a decent team at 5-2 S/U and 4-2 ATS. The Spartans have only played one true road game and that was a tough one at Kansas that they lost 62-74, but covered the 14.5 dog line. The Georgetown Hoyas return home after a two-game tournament that saw them go 1-1 S/U and 2-0 ATS. In fact, those were the only two covers so far this season by Georgetown after going 0-4 ATS at home the previous four. They return home today and will try for that first home cover. My own number has this closer to a 3/12 pints GT spread. I like these 7-points and will take them today. Play UNC Greesboro. |

11-30-19 | William & Mary +8 v. Buffalo | 77-88 | Loss | -109 | 3 h 17 m | Show
William & Mary comes into today's contest at 5-2 on the season with a 6-1 spread winning mark. The Tribe are a 8 to 8 1/2 point road dog today to Buffalo. My own numbers have that way lower. Why? Because Buffalo is only 4-2 S/U and has covered just one of five spread games. The Bulls have failed to cover their last three including a recent home win over Missouri State, 75-74. William & Mary has already played five road games, including Oklahoma and Stanford and their only non-cover came to the Cardinal. I like the Tribe getting these kind of points today. I wouldn't even be surprised by an outright win. Play William & Mary. |

11-29-19 | Utah State +4 v. St. Mary's | 73-81 | Loss | -109 | 23 h 45 m | Show
Utah State comes into tonight's contest at St Mary's as a dog, but don't tell the Aggies that. Utah State is 7-0 S/U and 4-3 ATS on the season. Utah State has scored 80 or more points in six of their seven games. St Mary's is 5-1 S/U and 2-4 ATS this year. The Gaels lost to Winthrop at home as a 17.5 point favorite, their only loss. Utah State may not have the big name basketball players of St Mary's, but they have produced results all season. I'm taking the four points here tonight with the visitor. Play Utah State. |
